[attr="class","capsol"] The singing had stopped for now, and he decided that he would go ahead and try to throw Sayha a loop. He was a little worried that he hadn't seen much of anything of her for the moment, though he suspected that this was all part of her new technique. He figured that maybe she was trying to get him into a false sense of security, though that wouldn't really be the case, if she was trying to hunt him down. Something about her current strategy seemed to throw him off, just the slightest bit, and he felt mildly uneasy about it. Though, ironically enough, he felt like it was a good thing, due to the fact that she was definitely learning some newer tricks, which he was fairly happy to know about by this point. She was definitely getting to be a much better Assassin, as much as she was a Tracker. Hiro hadn't seen much of Sayha fighting, though recalling the attacks that she weaved together during the final stage of the Celestial Arms quest, she was definitely a force to be reckoned with. He respected that aspect of her personality, and knew that it would help her grow into a much more powerful person as a result. As her friend, Hiro wanted to try and garner that potential into something as powerful as it can get. He wanted nothing more than his friend to be happy with how she was turning out, and how much stronger she was getting. This was all more of a reason for Hiro to not pull any punches during this excursion. It only made sense that he would try and help her grow more, since she definitely had a whole new world of potential to tap into, and perhaps by getting her attuned to the forest much quicker will help her realize her goals much faster. This was something that Hiro would definitely love to to, and as such, he began to move further in another given direction, though not the one he had been traveling in beforehand. He kept to a walk, as he figured that Sayha would soon enough catch up to him, or at least get on a more fixed trail by which she can find him. He continued in this direction for a little ways, before he found another smaller clearing, and began to play a tune on the flute. It was the same song that he had heard on an old game, though it just seemed to sound better on a flute, rather than the old 8-bit-style sound that it had when it first came out. Then again, one couldn't really call it 8-bit, as it was definitely a much better graphically made game than those older Final Fantasy games. Either way, he let the song ring out loud and powerfully, before he began to start walking on the road once more. His pace was the same, kept at a nice slow walk, so as to make sure that if Sayha were to catch up at all, he would be able to pull his next few tricks into play almost immediately. Sayha felt something was slightly off. After a while of walking, Sayha came upon a small clearing that Hiro’s footsteps led to. Just as she approached, she crouched down looking around cautiously. Hiro wasn’t in sight but it didn’t mean he wasn’t around. After all, she saw that his foot prints seemed clumped together in the clearing. Sayha guessed that the clearing was where Hiro had played the last song. What confused her was that Hiro’s footprints then continued in a westerly direction… but heading north instead of south.
There was no way that he passed right past her… so he must have been trying to throw her off. Sayha deactivated <Silent Move> and checked the clearing thoroughly before deciding to follow the footprints north. However, she was proven right when his song came from the same direction his prints lead. She must have been getting close.
At that moment, Sayha decided tree hopping was the best way to go for the time being. She found a nearby adult tree with good branches and jumped from branch to branch, carefully scouting ahead to see if Hiro was nearby. That was when she saw him highlighted in her vision.
Sayha instantly stopped. Hiro was jogging, hopefully unaware that Sayha was so close. She slowly climbed down the tree and thought about the situation. At the pace he was going, there was no way she would catch up using <Silent Move> due to the debuff. So Sayha decided to head a bit to the east and tree hop from tree to tree, getting ahead of him. When she was a decent ways ahead, Sayha activated <Silent Move> and jumped down the tree. Staying out of sight behind a small grouping of trees, she slowed her breathing. When Hiro jogged by, she went to grab his arm.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro was moving along just fine, as he had been moving through the forest at a decent pace by this point. Eventually, though, he had heard a bit of rustling up above himself. Normally, he wouldn't have paid it much mind, but it was very obviously something that wasn't a bird moving up in the branches above. Sayha was very clearly right above him by this point, since it had been just about enough time for her to have caught up by this point. Hiro smirked a little bit, going into his inventory and selecting the KDK, which appeared in his right hand. He knew that she was probably setting herself up to catch him just a little ways ahead, and she would have won the game from there, but that wasn't something that he would let happen. Hiro gripped onto the hilt of the weapon, as he drew closer and closer to where he thought Sayha was. But, of course, he was a bit wrong. He slowed his pace down a little, but kept the jog up. Very soon after, though, he just barely had enough time to avoid the girl's reach out to his arm. He jumped a bit to the side, and activated a skill he normally shouldn't have: Swift Sakura Slash.
Hiro swept the blade he had in his hand out before himself, going further up the path from where Sayha was. No doubt she would be confused, so he quickly started to cast a spell. After a few seconds, he targeted the center of where he and Sayha stood as the location, where he launched a Druid special, Sakura Storm to disorientate the girl. As the sakura petals began to swarm around them both, Hiro started to run to the side very quickly. He tried to stay in the circle, though, and used it to attempt to confuse her more. The petals were so thick that neither could see each other, even with the use of skills, as the blindness debuff picked up on both of them. He knew about where Sayha was, so he called out quickly in that direction. "Close one!" Hiro shouted, as he burst out of the petals, heading off in a different direction. He would need to be fast for this moment, but he knew that he would need to keep running for a little ways, if he was ever to be able to avoid the girl. A small voice appeared in his head.
"You owe me for this, runt." It said.
"Yeah, yeah, I know." Hiro spoke, responding in a jovial way. He placed the weapon back into his inventory, and kept booking it. He knew that, given his own speed, he would likely be able to outrun Sayha, if she had managed to get out of the petal storm as quickly as he had, though he was sure that she wasn't able to. The ability to have used skills, given to other classes, seemed to be far too overpowered, except when one considers that the forest itself was helping him. The voice he had heard in his head was one of the more influential spirits in this forest, and held great power. Having it on his side was more than just a useful thing, which he smirked about. "Man, I'm sure Sayha wants to stab me just about now." He said, as he turned around to see if she was immediately following him.

Sayha realized she had made a mistake, but there was no point in worrying about that at that point. Hiro unleashed two attacks that he shouldn’t have even be able to do. As much as she was curious, she was also slightly upset. Then again, her <Eagle Track> made them even. What slightly surprised her though was him actually using attacks on her. Then again, attacking was prohibited in cities so there was no way to use them before. “So, you’re going to play that way then,” Sayha said, as soon as she was caught, “Then let’s play. <Sword Rain Flurry>!” Sayha drew her swords and quickly stabbed at the petals surrounding her, making a small opening. She quickly jumped and tumbled out of the Sakura whirlwind. Her eyes saw Hiro right away, and she began to run after him.
“<Hiding Entry>,” Sayha said, making herself invisible to Hiro. Literally. Now she wasn’t stupid enough to think he wouldn’t hear her, but she needed to catch up to him. She sheathed her swords but pulled one of the now sheathed swords off of her belt.
Once Sayha was close enough to Hiro, Sayha carefully held her blade so that the sheath wouldn’t come flying off. “<Quick Draw>,” Sayha said, her body dashing to Hiro. She focused her attack on one of his legs to make him lose balance. Not that that part mattered too much to her.
“<Shadow Bind>,” Sayha hit Hiro’s shadow with her sheathed blade. The shadow then formed tendrils that bound Hiro. It was a weak bind, but it was enough. She jumped in front of Hiro and put the end of the sheathed blade to his neck, “That was a neat trick, considering you’re a Monk and not an Assassin or Shaman if I’m remembering correctly. You’re going to have to tell me how that works when this is done.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Sayha had appeared from nowhere, and jabbed her sheathed blade into Hiro's leg. "Shit!" He shouted, as he lost his balance a bit and stumbled a few times. She then proceeded to capture him in a bind through his own shadow. Not a bad move, especially since she seemed to have planned this out beforehand. He sighed a bit, as she put the weapon to his neck. Well, he couldn't really break out of this at the moment, since if he went to hit her weapon, then that would have meant she had won. But, there was something a bit wrong with what she had said, which made him understand where he could catch her off of her game. But, he decided that he would go with it for now. "Well, I suppose I'll have to tell you about all of this at some point, like you said." He began, with a mockingly defeated tone. His expression was that of the same tone, which he decided he would go with for the time being. Although, his face shifted a little bit, to a more mischievous one, as he began to glow just a little bit. "Though, you're a little wrong about one thing. That wasn't me being a Shaman, I used a Druid's skill." Sakura petals began to swirl all around Hiro.
He made sure to set Sayha as an Ally for this one moment, so she would only be knocked back. "THIS is the Shaman's Skill!" Hiro shouted, as he activated the second stage of Cherry Blossom Barrier. The petals flew all around, and began to quickly expand as a powerful blast blew the binding off of himself. He reached into his inventory again, and pulled the KDK out again, hitting the trigger so that it would extend to its Daikatana form. He jumped back a little ways, holding the blade up. "Hope you're not wearing a skirt, 'cause it's about to get windy!" Hiro reeled back the blade, and activated Ace Move: Kamaitachi. He swept the weapon before himself, toward Sayha, and a powerful gust of wind began to blow in an arc before himself, hopefully catching her off guard, and maybe pushing her a little ways back. While the effect of this event went on, Hiro began to cast yet another skill, thanks to the forest, and summoned forth a Spirit Bushi, Level 5, to appear before himself. He stood back up fully, twirling the katana and setting it upon his shoulder. The spirit swordsman stood at attention before its summoning master. Hiro looked defiantly to Sayha.
"Some neat stuff, right?" He asked, slightly pompous. "A Monk, using all those skills? I'm sure you're curious, so lemme make you a deal." Hiro returned the weapon to his inventory, and let the Spirit Bushi return to a neutral stance. He moved forward a bit, to stand beside the warrior, as he motioned to the ground nearby Sayha. "Take a little bit, and try to see if you can hear the forest. Meditate some." He started to walk over to her, but turned around and bowed to the spirit warrior nearby himself, and bowed. The warrior bowed back, and disappeared into the air once again. Hiro then turned around and walked over, showing her that he meant no harm. "Perhaps it'll help you understand why I can use all those other skills." He then took a seat on the ground, a little ways from where Sayha stood. "Of course," He began again, folding his legs into a meditative position. "You could always tag me here, and call yourself the winner, but you may find it a bit more difficult to understand. I figure it's best if I just show you, and not tell you, later." Hiro looked up to Sayha, a soft smile on his face. "This forest has a lot more things to offer, that you can't even see yet. I would love to show you what this place is truly like." Hiro then fell silent, waiting for Sayha's response to his offer.

Something was off about Hiro’s tone. This was proven correct when Sayha was bounded backwards by Hiro’s Shaman skill. Sayha took a tumble backwards, but she recovered easily by rolling backwards to her feet in a crouched position. Sayha, now, had officially become very angry, and her anger deactivated any skills that she had active at that time. She was well aware that the skills Hiro was using were way beyond her level. On top of it, they weren’t even class appropriate and he was significantly higher than her being at max while she was just 21. It wasn’t even a fair fight. When Hiro told her about finding out whatever magic he was using, she completely ignored it or rather she didn’t hear it. She was doing all she could to not explode, which was very hard for her to do.
“I’m fine with taking a break,” Sayha said, doing her best to keep her voice even, “Maybe I should just come back when I’m 90 when it’s a fair playing field. Then maybe I can counter act all your voodoo magic tricks at least fairly. For the time being, I’ll be back for possibly round 2 if you want to call it that.”
Sayha, after checking the cooldown, activated <Hiding Entry> and <Silent Move>. She didn’t plan on going far, but she just needed time to cool off. After finding her way to a large tree, she climbed it to the highest branch she could. She deactivated both her skills, leaning back against the tree.
She took a few deep breaths, trying to clear out her head. “That was beyond home field advantage,” Sayha said to herself, “That was just straight up crap.” Sayha pulled both sheaths out and set them on her lap.
Sayha then became somewhat disappointed in herself. She was only level 21, but she knew she could be, should be, higher. In all of her other games, she simply power leveled to the cap level and worked on any side skills once she reached it. She didn’t want to do that in this game, but in any reality it wasn’t a game anymore.
Then she scolded herself internally for being a poor loser, but then she paused. She had every reason to be mad, and she thought she was allowed to be upset for a while. However, she realized there was no point in doing any future rounds if the very first one went of this bad. She hadn’t expected him to fight her in the first place, and she thought that was what she was most sore about. After all, if she would have known that they would be able to fight each other she would have flat out said no… at least on this side. If they had been on the other side, she would have been able to kick his butt easily. Then again, she probably wouldn’t have been allowed to had she been in her classes since she was so far ahead.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro really shouldn't be surprised by how Sayha reacted. If anything, he flt guilty. As she vanished from his sight, he sat there with a dumb look on his face, and after a little while, a small spirit appeared by his side, shaking its head. "Nice moves, brat. If I had a frying pan, it would go right into your face." Letting out a long sigh, Hiro sprawled out on the ground. The spirit hovered over to look down at him. "You don't mess with people like that. I thought I taught you better."Hiro groaned a bit, putting his hands up behind his head. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Don't gotta lecture me about what I already know I did." He said, beginning to think to himself. "Though you have the right to lecture me about using your power and such.""Bet your ass I do!" The spirit howled, causing Hiro to wince. "Didn't I tell you to only use the forest's powers only when defending it!? And yet you call me over here, making me seem like things are in trouble, and it's just you showing off to some girl, while simultaneously getting her pissed! If you think she's livid with you, then you have another thing coming!" The spirit pointed off toward the forest, where the Amaterasu and the Myobu from earlier had been walking. Hiro looked over, and saw the Amaterasu growl a bit at him, positioning herself to be between the Myobu and the Monk. A chill ran down his spine, as he saw this. The animal spirits continued along their way, as the spirit next to him spoke further. "You, of all people, should know how the forest reacts when malicious intent is even remotely found within its boarders. I don't think I even need to remind you what happened last time."Hiro's eyes fell a bit, remembering why the Amaterasu had perished. "Yeah..." He muttered. The event never really healed up in his mind, though he had come to terms with it. "I got overzealous, and thought that using all those things would've made Sayha more curious..." He rolled over to his side. "I'm an idiot. Why the hell did I forget that anger is also an emotion that one feels, and usually comes across more quickly than curiosity?" He let out another sigh, as the spirit hovered over next to him again, looking him in the face. "I won't deny your idiocy, but do not forget that to make mistakes means that you are only human. I say that if that girl comes back, you'd best explain everything to her, and take whatever lumps she gives you, without question." She turned more stern after a moment. "Remember, I said IF she comes back. What you did was very obviously against what rules are placed upon you, as well as the rest of this forest's denizens. I'd be impressed if she ever talks to you again."Hiro cringed a little, realizing exactly what the spirit had said. To be honest, he wouldn't really be surprised if Sayha went ahead and never really spoke to him again from there on, since he was pulling some serious bullshit. He sprawled out on his back, thinking aloud. "I probably should've explained everything as soon as we were getting ready to go. Granted, that would've meant giving up whatever tricks I had, but...""But since she didn't know, nor should you have even used them, it was only just for her to get angry." The spirit thwapped her spirit arm on his head. "Not only that, but you let the thought of winning some game make it worse! You get what you deserve, kid.""I wanted to challenge her, and I just... I made it unfair. If I kept using those skills, there would've been no way she could've won, let alone help herself learn more about tracking." Hiro devolved into a more saddened state, as everything had had time to sink in completely by this point. The 'game', if one even wanted to call it that by this point, would've been unbeatable, and it wouldn't have been rewarding at all to even win at that point, for the other side. The spirit could tell that he was beyond worried, and gave a sigh of her own. "Just wait here, brat. She said she'd be back for a possible round 2, didn't she? Give her some time." She looked him in the eyes again, again stern. "And don't you dare call for my help again, unless you're actually in trouble, or dying!" She fluttered over a little ways away, mumbling to herself. "For your sake, you'd best be dead to ask for my help, what with all the crap you pulled..."Hiro knew she was right, and brightened up a bit. He sat back up, attempting to put a smile on his face. "Thanks, Elder." He said, going back to a mindset where he could think about how he was going to explain everything to Sayha, provided she comes back at all. He didn't blame her, though, since if he were in the same shoes, he would've just up and left. The thought caused his heart to sink a bit, but he shook the thought from his mind. He can't get negative now. Standing back up, Hiro pondered, waiting for Sayha to come back. It took a while for Sayha to calm down, but even then she was still very upset. Even though she wanted to disappear at that moment, she knew it would be rude… and she had been trained better. If her sifu and shimu had been there, they more than likely would have scolded both her and Hiro. After a moment, Sayha used the ribbons on her katanas to tie them securely to the sheath so that they couldn’t be drawn easily. Then, Sayha jumped down out of the tree, deactivating <Hiding Entry>. Once she landed, she put both of her sheathed katanas back on her belt, looser than she normally would have. She wasn’t far from where she left Hiro at all; it wasn’t like she could get very far with <Silent Move> plus there was the risk of her getting lost since she didn’t know where she was. Keeping <Silent Move> on she made her way back to where Hiro was. He was still standing there, but his attitude had changed from the looks of it.
Sayha, deactivating her ability, started to walk towards him. Once she was close to him, she clenched her left hand and struck him directly into the stomach. It wouldn’t hurt him that bad since he was a Monk. After she punched him, she took a few steps backward.
“Telling you how I feel right now would be stating the obvious,” Sayha started, “And since you haven’t taken martial arts lessons, I’ll give you some for free. First one is that that if you hurt someone you heal them as well. Second is that honor comes before everything else. Thirdly, one should respect others. I don’t think I have to explain to you what those means; you seem smart enough to figure those out. You seem courteous enough as an individual but you know no courtesy when it comes to fighting. Especially when your opponent had no idea that fighting was even a part of this thing entirely. Had the other person known, they would have rejected your offer.”
“So for some reason, I’m feeling nice enough to give you another chance. You have my sifu and shimu to thank for that,” Sayha continued, “They taught me better than to just leave without saying anything.”
Sayha paused for a moment, letting what she was saying sink into him, “By now you probably figured out that I have a new Tracker ability. It allows me to see your footsteps. Now you owe me an explanation, and I hope for your sake it’s a good one.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro was quite relieved to have seen Sayha appear a little ways before him. He wanted to immediately begin to explain everything, right after he apologized, though something was stopping him from doing so at the moment. A fist had been planted into his stomach, catching him off guard. His body instinctively moved backward, crouching into the blow, though it didn't really hurt almost at all. The only thing that really hurt was the feeling of guilt. Off to the side, the spirit snickered as this had happened. Hiro began to listen to what Sayha was saying, as she had every right to be angry. He wasn't trying to start a fight, but more use the skills and such as a diversionary tactic. None of them had dealt any damage to the girl, which he had made sure of. Although, they were all, in essence, battle-oriented. He could feel the words that the elder had said just a little while beforehand sink in even deeper. He also knew why the elder didn't stop him, because he wouldn't have learned anything if he had been told not to do something. Elder Yamamoto sure knew how to teach some things, that was for sure. Standing back up, as Sayha had finished, Hiro looked her in the eyes, letting his resolve build up within himself. "I'm grateful for the second chance, and the opportunity to explain everything. In all honesty, I should have explained everything from the start, but I got far too overzealous with the 'game' to let myself think straight." Hiro then knelt down on both his legs, placed his hands on them, and proceeded to bow deeply before the girl. "I'm sorry, Sayha." Just as he was about to get back up, he felt a light slap on the back of his head, signifying that he shouldn't get up quite yet. "I suppose I should take over for now." The spirit said, revealing itself to the girl. A smile was formed on its face, as it began. "Hello, dear. I am a spiritual form of the Village Elder, Yamamoto. Though, most will know me best as the Sakura Tree Spirit." She bowed slightly to Sayha. "As for the explanation as to why this brat could use all those skills, I should be the one start the explanation, to give you some better insight as to why." She straightened herself back up, and looked at the girl. "I have been here for a very long time. The village that I was banished from, for practicing Shamanistic rituals, gave me a Sakura tree to tend to while I was away, so that it may save my soul, while I traveled the world. Eventually, I came upon this forest, though it was not the way it is now. I decided to plant the tree here in this forest, and tended to it every day. When I finally passed on, I became one with the tree, which gave me powers over this entire forest, which I decided I would use to protect it. Eventually, though, people from my village, who were also banished, began to collect here, under the boughs of the tree that I had planted."She signaled for the monk to stand up, who did so afterwards. She looked to him, and he nodded to her, continuing where she left off. "It's thanks to the elder and her powers over the forest that I had become something of a channel, by which the spells and skills could be used. That's how I made it seem like I was using all those other abilities, when in actuality, it was the elder. I've been in this forest so much that I've gained a bit of its power as well, in that I can use the skill Hellfire Drive now as a result. Access to using the skill was bestowed upon me, as a result of an Amaterasu spirit, whom I had befriended, passing on after a fight. Some of her power flowed into me, which has allowed me to use it wherever I would like, as a result. Just learning about the skill isn't enough to use it." He concluded that section with a slight pause, his head turned to the side as he thought about the circumstances by which the spirit had passed on from. He shook the thought from his head, and continued speaking. "This forest is aware of what goes on within itself, and all the spirits and animals react to what goes on within it. As such, since I used those skills to my own benefit, it has likely spawned some malicious spirits within the forest, which I will go and defeat myself. Though, that doesn't involve anything of what I had done to you as a person, Sayha. It was my fault for making you mad, and I am fully ready to make up for what I did to you, regardless of what it takes." His eyelids fell a little, as he spoke. "I feel incredibly guilty for not telling you about all of this beforehand, and for having angered you because of that. I'd like to make amends with you as best I can, if you'll let me." He didn't bow again to her, as he felt that being overly apologetic would make him seem insincere. Instead, he looked to her with resolution in his eyes, willing to do whatever it takes to make up for what he had done. Original Thread where this was discussed, if you want to read up on it. After Sayha punched Hiro in the stomach, he didn’t get back up right away. Instead, he stayed sitting on the ground listening to her. When she had finished talking, Hiro stood up and looked her right in the eyes. He was thankful she had given him another chance and that he had been overzealous. Then, he bowed deeply, apologizing. Sayha hadn’t decided whether to forgive him or not at that point though. However a small ghostly thing came over and gently slapped Hiro on the head. It turned to her with a smile introducing itself as Elder Yamamoto, the elder Hiro briefly talked about earlier. The Elder Spirit explained who she was and how she got to be how she was briefly. She then signaled for Hiro to stand back up, and he finished the explanation on how he had used the abilities of the other classes. It wasn’t him doing the abilities but the Elder instead, which slightly confused Sayha, but she figured she would figure it out with time. Then Hiro explained that the forest was self-aware of what happened within itself.
The later part did make sense to her to a certain extent. The forest having its own conscious like in a movie she saw back on the old world. It did explain why the monsters around here didn’t attack her even though she was a lower level than they were.
Hiro looked into Sayha’s eyes with resolute. Internally, Sayha sighed. He was truly sorry; it was clear at that point. Also at that point, Sayha’s anger had pretty much dissipated. There was no point in holding what had happened against him.
Sayha took a deep breath and let it out slowly, “Alright, I accept your apology… though I don’t think I need to tell you that there’s no third chance waiting. I’m still not exactly happy with you, but there’s no point in holding it against you.”
Sayha then turned to the spirit, “Elder Yamamoto, it’s an honor to meet you, though I wish it had been under better circumstances. Thank you for explaining what happened to me.” Sayha bowed slightly to the spirit as a show of honor.
After standing up, she turned back to Hiro, “So what’s the plan now then?” After a second she also smirked, returning almost completely to her regular self, “Oh and just so you know, if I wanted to actually physically hurt you, I’d use my right arm instead of my left and it wouldn’t be the stomach I’d aim for.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro let out a sigh of relief, feeling a lot of the tension in his body quickly drain away. Nothing seemed to be worse in his mind than making a friend angry, especially one who he had invited over. The Elder bowed to the girl in kind as she had, raising her head back up. Hiro figured that the Elder would be glad to see another martial artist, though one much better trained in an art, in the forest. Perhaps a melding of two styles would be good for someone? The style of fighting that the people of Moon Dance Village used was something more akin to a bastardized Japanese version of Hapkido, which focused much more on grappling, but also had a good deal of swordplay and other weaponry involved in it. It seemed to be a very generalized version of martial arts, encompassing most things, though ventured more into the redirection-style of fighting, in using the opponent's weight against them. They had also focused very heavily on the use of pressure points, in order to lock down an opponent.
Hiro's mind snapped back to reality when Sayha asked what was next, afterward her mentioning that if she wished to hurt the Monk, she would use her right arm, and hit somewhere else. An instant flashback to Hiro's first meeting with Youka, where she had reeled back and assaulted his nuts with her fist, hence earning her the name the Violent Loli. His expression shifted to a more pained style, though he chuckled about Sayha's comment, weakly. "Trust me, I won't make the same mistake again." While he meant what he said, he didn't need to re-explain everything. He had felt guilty enough for causing a problem for both Sayha and the Elder, though perhaps this is why the Elder hadn't stopped him from using the skills earlier. How else was he to learn a lesson? This was the last chance he would get, and if he messed up again, he might as well say goodbye to Sayha now. He learned, and now he understood the importance of a few things, not just when the appropriate time to use those skills was. Though, he wouldn't dwell on the subject for much longer, since Sayha did ask him a question about what was to be done now. He thought about it for a second.
"Well, I will have to take care of those rampant spirits, whenever they show up, though neither myself nor the Elder will know when they do, or if they will at all. Though, there's a good chance they will." The Elder nodded to him in agreement, though she herself wasn't sure. Hiro shook his head, though, and continued to speak. "What we could do is we could try for another round of hide and seek, though this time without any alternative tricks on my part, and see how things go from there." Hiro looked up to Sayha. "Then again, that's entirely up to you, if you'd want to do that some more. I won't blame you if you'd rather not." He shrugged, signifying the end to that statement. "Aside from that, we could head back to my house, and I could show you that thing I finished research on. I'll go ahead and just spoil the surprise here, it's a hoverboard. A working one, that is effectively the second prototype, after having fixed up all the bugs and problems with the first one. It should be set to go, if you wanted to check that out at all." He started to walk over to the side a little bit, turning to face further into the forest. "The last thing I can offer, possibly on the way to my house, is some further explanation into this forest. How we found it, what has happened here, all that stuff." He offered up that last one, just as a possible knowledge seeking option for the girl. She seemed to like the place, despite his messing up beforehand, so maybe she'd like to know more. He would still show her the hoverboard and tell her about the forest, if she wanted to know, after a second round of hide and seek, if she still wanted that. As a result, though, he waited for her response.

Hiro sighed of relief when Sayha accepted his apology, and she saw him visibly relax a bit. Sayha didn’t realize how tense he had been with her being angry, but she thought to herself that he deserved it… at least a little bit. After her warning, Hiro seemed to grimace, stating he definitely wouldn’t make the same mistake again. Sayha figured it must have happened to him before so she smirked, chuckling under her breath. She couldn’t help but wonder who actually hit poor Hiro elsewhere, laughing internally at the notion. Hiro talked to the Elder about soothing things over with some of the beasts that he angered earlier, though she hadn’t noticed them personally. They must have been around after she left to go cool her head. Then, Hiro went and explained some of the options that they could do. Though one thing caught her attention most.
“A hoverboard? Seriously?” Sayha asked. Back on the other side, they hadn’t even come up with the technology for them, but Hiro had come up with two prototypes here. She, personally, had never done any sort of boarding, but she thought that it was a cool idea. Maybe once Hiro finished the prototype she would commission him to make one for her. “I wouldn’t mind checking that out, but I have a feeling how they work is way above what I can understand. Most mechanical stuff is, but I can pretend to understand if you want. After that, we can talk about the forest more; how you found this place and everything does really interest me. Plus, I will more than likely find myself here once I get to a higher level to learn the Assassin skill. If we still have time, we can do another round or two of hide and seek depending on what time it is after. I don’t have anything else planned for the day so I can stay as long as you want me around.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro folded his arms, looked over to the Elder spirit, who had looked over at him, and both of them shrugged. "At least she's honest." The spirit began, to which Hiro nodded and chuckled. "Spirits Divine know I know next nothing about your technology mumbo-jumbo, so perhaps the two of us will be in the same boat." The Elder had made a fairly good point, though, in that since Hiro was the only mechanic here, working with much more on the physical side of things, while the Elder had only dealt with the spiritual realities that she had been witness to for centuries. It made sense also, since Sayha was probably not a mechanic as well, given her main class and subclass choices. At this point, Hiro didn't know her crafting class, so he decided that he might as well just assume that it wasn't a mechanic, given that she had just admitted that she didn't know anything about the mechanic-line of work. Perhaps this would be something that Hiro held up about himself, which nobody else could really do. He wasn't going to get cocky about it, though, since that would just be dumb.
"I will suggest, though," The Elder continued. "That you refrain from doing anything which will keep your attention for too long. Whatever round of Hide and Seek the two of you play would have to likely be a short one, and any further rounds from there would concurrently be short as well. One can never be too certain when the Spirits of Malice will show themselves in this realm once again."
Hiro could only nod in agreement. "Yeah, you're right..." While he still felt guilty for having made Sayha mad, as well as the Elder, he had a responsibility to safeguard the forest from what he had caused. He would have to make a decision, based on if he and Sayha were going to play another round of Hide and Seek, or head back to his house, chat, and check out his hoverboard. Perhaps he'd let Sayha also try out some guns, or maybe even the KDK, while he's at it. But, that wasn't for now. He would rather that Sayha decide what to do for the time being, since she was his guest. Perhaps he'd offer up the options to her in that manner. That sounded like it might be the best way to go about this for the moment, since it would actually make him seem responsible.
Hiro looked back up at Sayha. "Well, I figure since you're the guest, we can do whichever you would like to." He said, a smile returning to his face. "The first lesson you told me is that I should attempt to heal what I hurt, right? I'd like to make things up in whatever way you see fit, even if you don't want to do what we suggested beforehand. I'm willing to do anything you would like." He fell quiet from there, as the Elder tapped him on the shoulder lightly. He turned to his side to see her nodding at him. Perhaps the Elder also agreed that this might be the best way to go about things? Either that, or he was doing a really good job at avoiding being definitive, and would let Sayha make the decision. Hopefully, though, this would work, and she would make a choice on what they could do for the time being. He recalled that he had offered her a chance to hit up the bath when they got back, and maybe she was feeling a little tired? Granted, they haven't been outside for very long, though it certainly felt like it had been a while by this point. Either way, though, Hiro remained silent, and waited for Sayha's response to his proposition.

Sayha listened as Hiro and the Elder talked. Sayha smiled as the Elder said that both Sayha and she would be in the same boat when it came to Hiro’s technology, and Sayha had to agree. The Elder continued to say that they should probably keep anything they do short due to the Spirits of Malice. Sayha didn’t fully understand the situation, and she doubted that the other two would be surprised by that. Though, from just the name alone, Sayha guessed that they were evil spirits that would probably materialize in the forest they were in. “I’ll be honest, I’m not entirely sure of what the full situation is, but I don’t think you two are surprised by that,” Sayha started, “And you’re right that you should heal what you injure. I think we should do that first if we can. I know that the beasts around here are higher leveled than I am, but I would like to help if that is at all possible. Then maybe while we’re healing what happened, you can explain to be more about the forest… and maybe explain about the Spirits of Malice that the Elder mentioned. We can worry about the other stuff for a later time.” Sayha paused for a moment before continuing, “It probably wasn’t just Hiro that caused the problem. If the forest does have its own conscious then it probably felt my anger as well so we’re both kind of to blame.” The last part she wasn’t sure of, but it would make sense given what the two of them had said already. If she was responsible in the slightest, it was her duty as well to heal anything injured.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro smiled softly at Sayha, as she had been explaining that she felt responsible for also causing some spirits to appear as well. She couldn't be much farther from the truth, in his mind. "No, you hold no fault in this." Hiro said calmly. "I was the one who caused you to be angry, so the fault lies entirely on myself. And I can explain it fairly well so that you'd also understand." Hiro turned a bit, opening his arms up to the forest. "The forest does not target the victims of malice, anger, or anything of the sort, but it targets the one whom had caused it. If it the Spirits of Malice cannot find the original creator of the negative emotions, then it will attack whatever else is around itself at the time. Think of it something like a computer." He looked back to Sayha as he explained, trying to keep it simple. "The Forest is like a computer, and the Spirits of Malice are like Viruses. They find the way into the forest through malicious and negative emotions, much like a breach in one's antivirus software. They then attack the computer and all that is stored on it."
Perhaps not the best explanation, but who in this day and age didn't know about viruses and what they do to computers? Aside from the Elder, who was more than confused at the moment. She knew what he was trying to say, though his method of rearing it seemed to be out of her mastery. Hiro continued, though. "I'm the one that caused them to appear, so I should be the one to take care of them. Although..." He thought to himself a little, wondering how it could be beneficial for Sayha to come along. "It would help you recognize the differences between the normal spirits and the Spirits of Malice, whenever you decide to come back here... Besides, it would honestly be better to make sure you're alright, instead of telling you to leave or head back to the house for a bit, while I do some spirit hunting." He looked up to Sayha again, a decision in his mind. "You don't have to fight them, but I'd prefer it if you weren't alone. For safety reasons, of course. As if I needed to explain further, like you said, the monsters around here are pretty powerful." He knew just how strong the normal monsters around here were, but the Spirits of Malice were in the higher percentage of levels in this area.
The Elder looked around a little bit, thinking to herself, before speaking. "It might be better if we move around a bit, perhaps back towards your home. If there's any Spirits that appear, I may be able to find them better if we move somewhere else. They often don't like to appear near the source at first, to maximize damage."
"You're right." Hiro said, after the Elder's thought. Motioning for Sayha to follow him, he started to walk back toward where the house was. "C'mon." He then remembered that Sayha mentioned that Hiro could explain more about the forest and the Spirits of Malice. Maybe he had answered a bit about both of them with the previous description? Although, maybe she wanted more concrete facts about them, so he figured he would start with the Spirits of Malice. "So, the Spirits of Malice are usually referred to as simply Oni, or Demons in our language. They take on the shapes of demonic looking beasts, usually as dark as the night. It'll be very easy to see what they are when we find them." He pointed toward the Elder for a moment. "The Elder, since she is connected to the entire forest, can find them rather easily, so we will be needing her in order to find out where they are, instead of having to travel all across the forest." He turned back ahead. "For now, we'll head back to the house and relax, since it is much closer to the center of the forest than we are now. While I'd enjoy playing another round of Hide and Seek, for real this time, it might be better if we take it easy for a bit." Hiro looked over to Sayha with a defeated smile. "May have to call in another rain check on Hide and Seek." He admitted.

Sayha listened to Hiro explain about the Spirits of Malice, and he had compared them to computer viruses which, to her, needed no more explanation. He had done a lot of coding back on the other side, but it was only a hobby slash job to her. Her life had been martial arts, but she did know a great deal about computers… though she guessed Hiro didn’t know that since she never said anything about it. The Elder then suggested the return to Hiro’s home since it was closer to the center of the forest, which made sense. Hiro agreed and motioned for her to follow him, which she did. Hiro continued to explain that the Spirits of Malice were more like demons, or Oni. “Back on the other side, I made money by writing computer code,” Sayha said, “I know how to write a virus as well as how to destroy one. Well-written viruses will target the weak spot on a computer and start its corruption from there. If the Oni are like viruses, they’ll appear where the weakest part of the forest is. I’m guessing that Lander children live back in the village right? You’re going to want to check out where the children are first. Then probably find where the sick beasts tend to hide. Those would probably be the first places to keep an eye on.”
“As for the rain check,” Sayha continued, “That would be fine…” A thought that Sayha hadn’t thought about before appeared in her head, and she wasn’t quite sure how she felt about it. It was an idea… or maybe something like one. She thought about asking Hiro if she could join his guild.
It was a random thought for sure… even for her… She had thought about maybe joining a guild in the future, but she hadn’t figured out where she fit in… of course she would never figure that out if she didn’t try. She tried to push the thought of her mind for the time being, but it kept coming back. Maybe she would ask Hiro about it later…

[attr="class","capsol"] "Huh, that a fact?" Hiro asked, looking over at Sayha once more. He turned ahead, chuckling a bit. "Learning all kinds of things about you today. It like it." One of such things being what it takes to piss her off, though that wasn't the point. While he mentally added that one thing to his 'don't ever do ever' list, he continued to walk along. The Elder was still floating nearby, though she had taken a perch onto his shoulder for convenience sake. They were slowly making their way back to his house, where they would relax for a little bit, and then be able to find whatever monsters would spawn, and be able to tell exactly where they are, when they do. That was the plan, anyways, but Hiro just wanted to step back into the house for a little bit. After having pissed Sayha off, as well as upset the Elder, he needed to take a few moments to let everything come back to him. While he knew that he and Sayha were on good terms, he still needed a moment to truly reflect on everything. Actually, that bath that he had mentioned for Sayha to take sounded wonderful to him. He could certainly use that.
But, that's not the important thing now. He thought back to how she had mentioned how viruses worked, and figured that the spirits would likely attack either children or weakened animals would be the most likely targets. While she was right in some regards, they usually targeted the one who caused the problem to begin with. Yes, this meant that the chances of monsters coming to attack his own home were fairly high, but he knew just how to defend it, no matter what attacks it. That being said, though, Hiro looked over to the Elder, initiating some nonverbal communication. She nodded to him, and fluttered up off his shoulder. "Well, my dear, I will be returning to my own body for now, as I can better examine the forest from the base of the Sakura Spirit tree. I will be sure to stop by once everything is all taken care of. It has been wonderful to meet you, and I hope we can meet in person next time." With that, the Elder turned back and spoke in a low tone to Hiro. "If anything happens to her, you know exactly what will happen. She is in your care. Do not forget that." Hiro squinted a bit, but nodded. The Elder vanished from there.
Hiro had adopted a scowl on his face, though hopefully Sayha didn't notice. He made it disappear, and a normal expression returned. "I dunno about you, but I definitely would love to take a bath when we get back. I have separated baths, if you wanted to take one as well. How about it?" He wanted to make an 'I won't peak' joke, but given that she had just gotten mad at him over something else, he decided against it. The less mad he had made his friend, the better. While he asked, though, he internally knew that he had to protect Sayha, now more than ever. He knew that the Elder would likely show back up, or tell him somehow through a discrete message. He wanted to keep Sayha from being mixed up, but if the Elder had not been opposed to it, then perhaps there was a reason for it. Given that the Elder knew how strong the Oni were likely to be, and she still said nothing to keep Sayha away from the danger, then there was some omnipotent reason for this. As such, Hiro needed to be extra careful, and not show her any sort of worry. When the time comes, he would know why the Elder decided to allow this, though he had his assumptions for now. Perhaps it was to attune Sayha to the forest somehow, or perhaps to have her understand more about the nature of this place. He would tell her about everything, though, after they got back to the house, where it was safe. Preferably after whatever method of relaxation Hiro decided to take. But, for now, he waited to hear Sayha's response to his previous question.

Sayha smirked at Hiro’s comment. There was plenty about herself that he didn’t know, at least for the time being. She didn’t want to be read like an open book so she kept a lot of things to herself. However if Hiro were to become her guild leader… so much for keeping the idea out of her thoughts. Rather than having her mind keep going back to that, maybe she would just inquire about it. That would be harmless enough, right? In her thoughts, she noticed that Hiro nodded to the Elder just before the Elder began speaking. She explained that she was going to return to her body, which would have been the main tree in the forest. She said she would stop by Hiro’s home once everything was taken care of, and she assumed that the Elder meant once the Oni were located.
“It was nice to meet you as well, Elder,” Sayha replied to the Elder. After, the Elder turned back to Hiro, saying something she couldn’t make out. Then, she disappeared, returning to her body Sayha assumed. For a second, Sayha saw something of with Hiro, but after he talked, she thought it was just her imagination. Though his suggestion slightly caught her by surprise.
He had mentioned it before, taking baths, but it didn’t register before. However, it did register this time and made her face flush slightly. “Well, I… I guess that would be okay…” Sayha finally said, clearing her throat. She did her best to not sound embarrassed, but she had a good feeling that she failed. “Though if you try to peek, I will gouge your eyes out with my katana.” She was pretty sure she didn’t need to give that warning, but it was a good way to cover up how she felt.
Out of the corner of her eye, Sayha saw something look at them. As she turned, she noticed it was one of the beasts she had seen before with Hiro earlier. It didn’t seem aggressive but rather curious. She wasn’t sure if Hiro noticed, but she thought it was interesting.

[attr="class","capsol"] After having asked his question, Hiro looked over to Sayha, in time to notice a light blush spread across her face. Confused as to why such a thing would happen, he received an answer in the form of an ultimatum, referring to if he tried to peak. Hiro couldn't help but blush up a bit too, as he had been caught off guard with that statement. He choked up for just a second, before waving his hands in front of himself. "No, no, no no no, I would rather not get back onto your bad side." He said immediately afterward. "The baths are separate, a-and there's a solid wall between them! Granted, they're both outdoors a little bit, being enclosed off from the rest of the house and forest, but there's absolutely no way that I'd even think of trying to look through!" If he even thought of such a thing, the Elder would appear and kick his ass straight to Tuesday. Not only that, but she would either banish Hiro from the forest, or give Sayha the house, leaving Hiro practically homeless, should he ever decided to come back to the village for a short period of time.
No, Hiro wouldn't do anything like that. Not only for those reasons already being given, but also for the fact that he respected Sayha far too much to actually do something like that. While not trying to get on her bad side was enough of a reason, in and of itself, he just felt that it would definitely be a horrible thing to do. It would be like seeing her only as an object, a thing to look at, rather than the person she is. He couldn't do that. He wouldn't. But, that didn't mean he couldn't be curious about i- He stopped himself right there, as he could almost feel the Elder warping back to where he and Sayha were, just to send his ass over to the other side, without a ticket back. He took a deep breath, and figured that he would let the topic die there. Whenever the two of them returned to his house, he would go into the men's bath and take his own bath. Sayha could use the women's bath, which he felt was important to have, especially since he liked to invite people over from time to time. Not to mention it was nice for the Landers of Moon Dance Village who come over and keep his home clean and tidy of their own volition. It was nice to be a diplomat of sorts.
Hiro looked over at Sayha again, hopefully having the blush across his face be rather unnoticeable at this point, when he noticed that she was looking over at something to the side. It looked to be one of the Myobu from earlier, from what he could tell. He then felt a twinge of guilt flow through himself again, as he remembered the Amaterasu leading the Myobu away from himself in a rather angry manner. It didn't trust him at the time, since he had exhibited the aura of malicious intent. However, it was surprising to see the creature here all by its lonesome, and perhaps it was worried about Sayha. The forest was certainly alive, that's for sure. Hiro stopped where he was walking, and smiled a bit, turning to Sayha. "Looks like it's here to see you." He said. "I think it felt the anger you had felt, and was worried, so maybe it's come to see if you were okay." He leaned to one side, making sure to stay back from it. He didn't want to seem like he was imposing against it, so he stayed in place. Motioning with his head to the small creature, Hiro continued. "Maybe if you hold your hand out to it, it'll let you pet it? It should be rather warm to the touch, but also quite fluffy. Be slow and careful, if you do that, since they're just like wild creatures." He felt that maybe she would like to see the animal up close. "Of course, that's only if you want to." He left that in there, in case she just wanted to head back to the house for now. Hiro would wait for her decision, before doing anything else for the time being.

Hiro had flushed at Sayha’s comment about the not peeking, making sure she knew he wouldn’t do something like that, and she believed him. She didn’t actually mean anything by it, really. She had just said that to relocate her slight embarrassment. Though, Hiro had stopped, noticing the fox beast as well; Sayha too had stopped next to him. He said it might let her pet it but warned her to be careful since it was like a wild animal.
Slowly, Sayha bent down to a crouch and held out her hand, letting the beast know that she wouldn’t harm it. After a moment, the fox’s ears flicked a few times, and it tentatively walked towards her. Once it was at arm’s reach, it sniffed her hand. After it had sniffed her hand, it walked up to her a little bit more. Sayha slowly moved her hand over the fox, petting it. When she did, the correct name of the fox appeared - Myobu. Hiro had been right that the Myobu’s was warm to the touch and also fluffy. She thought the fox was adorable and couldn’t help but smile.
After a minute, the Myobu pranced off back into the forest, and she could see slightly in the distance that there was a larger fox creature that seemed to have been waiting for it. Sayha stood up, after the Myoubu had left, and she turned to Hiro.
“That was cute,” Sayha said with a smile, “Does that happen often? The Myobu coming to say hello?”
