[attr="class","capsol"] The Myobu had heard the girl's response, and started to get up and away from her hold. It landed on the branch next to her, and sat down on its back legs. It sat there, without moving, for a little while. The Lesser Oni from below could be heard, walking around. The Myobu ignored it for the time being, as a few of the Sakura Tree blossoms began to swirl around it. A few moments later, the monster's eyes opened up wide, and its body began to glow a bright white color. Standing back up, it walked over toward Sayha once again, and started to walk into her body, fusing with her. The girl's appearance would begin to shift from its normal colors to that of a pale white. The same ability that most Shamans used at higher levels: [Yorishiro Avatar].
The memories of the Myobu would then begin to flood into the mind of Sayha. Visions of the spring, and having seen both her and Hiro walking through the forest. Visions of the Amaterasu that had been accompanying it. She would be able to see leylines that connected the forest's trees and wildlife to the Great Sakura Tree Spirit, and the light that shown above from the Moon Spirit. The vision swirled up and around, until an overhead view of the forest was seen, and the forest seemed to be glowing brightly. Eventually, the vision shifted back to a time when a female swordsman, a young girl, held a katana in her hand, and an adult was instructing her how to perform a certain set of skills. They were speaking in Japanese, which Sayha likely couldn't understand. Eventually, the young girl had proceeded to get into a stance, and her body warped across a little ways. Sakura blossoms appeared behind her, leaving a trail. The girl had used [Swift Sakura Slash], but it hadn't ended there. She continued to slash back and forth, performing a more powerful skill, the name of which eluded the Assassin.
The vision faded, and Sayha's vision would eventually return to her own self. She would see that her level had been temporarily boosted to 61, and that a menu icon appeared with the text 'Swift Sakura Slash learned! User may temporarily perform this skill!' The Myobu's voice rang out in the girl's mind, as her body was now glowing. "I can only give you this knowledge for a short period of time. Please, defeat the monster!" The Myobu's voice faded from inside her mind, and a line began to form underneath the girl. The line was a bright green color, and it began to run all the way through the forest, to the Great Sakura Tree Spirit. The Oni took note of this, and looked up, seeing the Assassin. It growled at her.

After Sayha gave her response, the Myobu jumped out of her arms and onto the branch beside her. She turned to face Sayha sitting down, and it closed her eyes. Sayha could hear the Oni still, and it was safe to say it had found her by now. After a moment, the Myobu began to glow, and its eyes opened wide. She then walked back toward Sayha but instead of getting in her arms, she walked into her body, fusing with her. Sayha felt the Myobu’s memories enter her mind. The earliest one she recognized as Hiro and herself walking through the forest probably earlier that day. Then she saw the other beast she had been traveling with, now knowing it was called an Ameterasu. Then she saw some sort of magic circuit connecting everything in the forest together with the Great Sakura Tree and the Elder that the Myobu knew as the Moon Spirit.
Eventually the visions shifted to a young girl who was wielding a blade, another blade dancer like herself. The girl was with an instructor learning how to use a skill she recognized right away, <Swift Sakura Slash>. Afterwards, the girl did another series of attacks that she didn’t recognize. Then, the vision faded.
When Sayha saw what was around her, she saw that she had temporarily been boosted to level 61… and had the <Swift Sakura Slash> ability. The Myobu warned her that she had only a short amount of time. “That will be plenty,” Sayha said, jumping down out of the tree. Once she landed she drew both of her blades
“<Shadow Bind>,” Sayha quickly hit the Oni’s shadow it couldn’t move, “<Death Stinger>.” Sayha poisoned her blades just in time for the Bind to wear off, but she was already ready. “<Swift Sakura Slash>!” she dashed forward, slashing at the Oni, dealing a lot of damage as well as poisoning.
The Oni turned to attack her, but she was fast enough to dodge the attack. “<Sword Rain Flurry>!” she stabbed her blades forward, the Oni’s health was almost gone, “<Deadly Dance>!” She slashed both her blades forward forming an x. Once the attack hit, Sayha jumped back and way from the Oni.

[attr="class","capsol"] Overcome by worry and despair, Hiro chased after where Sayha had run off to. The Elder's spirit representation was nowhere to be seen, as it had gone on ahead. The benefits of having a spiritual body, he figured. Either way, his mind could not relax for even a moment, as he hurried along to try and see if he could find Sayha before something horrible happened. The Monk didn't know exactly where to look, but he had an idea of where to start. The direction that she had run toward was the same as the one where the Amaterasu he had befriended was killed. The worry in his mind escalated almost immediately, and he forced himself to run even faster. Eventually, though, he had caught up to where everything was, and saw that the Assassin had been glowing white, like he and the Elder had when they fused. Sayha had fused with something? But what? Was it the Elder? Another spirit in this forest? Or what? He had no idea, and as he looked over to where the Elder's spirit was hovering, he knew that it couldn't have been the Elder herself. He stared on, confused.
The Oni didn't know what hit it. It had been suddenly attacked by the girl, now glowing white, and its health had very rapidly decreased all of a sudden. It turned to attack the one that was attacking it, but to no avail. The being was fast enough to weave right aside from it! A few more strikes later, and the monster had been defeated. Since it was a Lesser Oni, the being disappeared into the sky, as the bubbles that normally would have happened. Hiro watched as the girl stood there, after the battle. He would find the answer soon enough. And, as if on cue, the girl began to stop glowing, and returned to her normal colors, as the Myobu from earlier had begun to step out of her body, ending the fuse. It walked a few feet away, and stood there, looking up at the girl. A voice would fill the girl's mind, as the Myobu spoke to her. "You are closer to understanding the forest now." The Myobu stood there, and yipped a little, turning its body away from Sayha, as it began to walk away. It then turned back, and spoke to her again. "Everything is connected." After that, the spirit would begin to bound away, back to the spring.
Hiro started to walk up to Sayha, a relieved smile on his face. "Glad you're alright." He said after a moment. His head turned in the direction of the Myobu, wondering what exactly had caused the spirit to fuse with the girl. Was it a small bond that they shared? Or was it a means of desperation that caused the beast to fuse with Sayha? He didn't know, but he figured he might as well ask. Turning back around to Sayha, Hiro questioned. "What happened?" He wouldn't ask for specifics, since it definitely wasn't a good idea to start with hard questioning. He did see her use [Swift Sakura Slash], though, and that was enough for him to realize that something must have happened with the Myobu. It wasn't common for a spirit like that to trust someone quite as readily as it had, so there must have been some kind of explanation that he didn't know about. Or, maybe Sayha didn't even know about it. Hiro looked over to the Elder, trying to search her face for the answers, but she was gone already. Since the danger had been quelled, it didn't make sense to linger much, since everything was done and over with. Using a spirit form might have been rather draining on the old woman's soul, so she would need a rest. For now, though, Hiro would wait for Sayha to answer him, as best she could.

As soon as Sayha had jumped back, the Oni then exploded into bubbles and floated up towards the sky. It was over. Sayha felt her brief strength fade as the Myobu left her body. She watched as the Myobu leapt away, telling her she as closer to understanding the forest and that everything was connected. Before Sayha could really think about what she had just to her, she heard movement walking towards her. She turned to see Hiro, looking rather relieved. Sayha took a deep breath and sighed, sheathing her blades. Once Hiro was next to her, he asked what had happened. “When you told me to run, I grabbed the Myobu because I didn’t want it to get hurt,” Sayha started, “After I got a decent amount away, I went into a tree.” Sayha quickly gestured to the tree she had been in. “The Myobu asked me if I wanted to understand the forest and accept her, the Myobu, into my heart. I told her I did, and she walked into me. I saw visions like what happened with the <Pebble of Philosophy> except it was just the Myobu’s memories.”
Sayha paused for a moment, looking at where the Myobu had bounded off to, “I think the Myobu was once someone who practiced at the dojo in the Village. I saw a girl training, using the <Swift Sakura Slash> ability. Anyway after the fight, the Myobu left me and said that I am closer to understanding the forest and that everything is connected… and in the Myobu’s vision I saw like leyline circuits across the forest connecting everything to the Elder’s tree.”
Sayha then took a deep breath in and let it out slowly, “I think… I think I’ve had enough excitement for one day… though I will say I’m still interested in learning more about the forest. Though I have a feeling I won’t be able to learn much until I get my levels higher.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro was surprised. He hadn't heard of a spirit of the forest being so accepting into the arms of an Adventurer, let alone any other people in general. He was confused, though, since he didn't know where the Elder was. It would have helped if she had been there, since she might be able to explain even a little bit of what was going on, or what was happening. He was very curious to know why all this had happened, but Hiro was unable to even find a place to begin with an answer. He pondered it a bit further, but he couldn't get a definitive answer in his mind. He shook his head, since the only important thing was that Sayha was safe, and it seemed that the Myobu from earlier had also escaped any kind of injury. That was the most important note. Letting his mind relax a little bit more, he could feel his entire body lose all the tension that had been built up from the fight. Thankfully, the Oni that had pursued Sayha and the Myobu was only a Lesser Oni, and therefore would not warrant any kind of trouble for the rest of the forest, nor would it stick around after having been defeated normally.
"So long as you're okay, Sayha." He said, a smile forming on his face once more. "What do you say we head back to the house for now? Everything should be taken care of for the time being, and nobody else is in trouble. Maybe we can relax a little bit more, since everything's okay for now." He offered that up as a possible suggestion for them to do, for the time being. He didn't know what else there would be, unless Sayha had wanted to play another round of Hide and Seek, which he somehow doubted. Perhaps they had had enough excitement for one day, and would call it quits soon enough. Without much else to do here, Hiro started to walk back toward the house. They might as well get back there for now, since he was starting to get kind of hungry. His stomach growled audibly, possibly enough for the Assassin to hear. Putting a hand onto his stomach, he looked over at her. "You hungry at all?" He asked, a very obviously hungry look on his face. "I'm starving... Want anything to eat? It'd be a pain to eat only when you get back to the city, so I figured I might as well make the offer while I have the chance."
That reminded him, though, that they didn't need to travel to London in order for her to be put into the guild. "Oh, right." Hiro said. "We can go ahead and take care of your guild invitation thing, when we get back to the house, if you'd like. Otherwise, we can just do it later." He opened up the offer to her for the moment, which she would hopefully take him up on. Perhaps it would be best to handle all of that stuff there and then, instead of later on down the road. He would leave the option open to her for now, and they could decide on what to do soon enough. For now, his mind was on his stomach, and the rest would come in time.

Once Sayha explained her story, Hiro suggested that they return to his house to possibly relax a bit. After a moment, Hiro put his hand on his stomach and asked if she was hungry. Sayha couldn’t help but laugh at that comment. He also suggested that they take care of Sayha being invited to the guild as well. “That sounds good,” Sayha said. She paused before she continued to speak, “Though there is something I would like to do first before we eat and relax. Would you take me to the Great Sakura Tree? I want to ask the Elder if it would be alright if I trained here later on. I know I’m too low-leveled now to learn anything useful, but once I get to a higher level, I would like to train here.”
Sayha looked around and sighed, “There’s also another question I want to ask the Elder, and I’m sure you don’t know the answer which is nothing against you. I want to ask the Elder about what I saw in the visions I had with the Myobu. Unlike the Messier Sages, I think the Elder will be able to give me a straight answer.”
Sayha took a deep breath, remembering seeing a connection she temporarily had between herself and the Great Sakura Tree… and then she thought of a few questions he could answer.
“Hiro, that kekkai, er barrier,” Sayha started, “Where did it come from? And where was the Elder during the fight? I didn’t see her.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro's stomach grumbled in retaliation against Sayha's request to see the Elder first. He knew that it would be the best thing for them to do for the time being, but his stomach was thinking otherwise. His stomach was thinking Arby's, by the looks of it. Either way, he knew that it would be the best move would be to take Sayha over to see the Elder, especially because she had mentioned that she wanted to do some training while here at some point, later on down the road. As such, he adjusted the way they were heading, to be going more directly to the village. It wasn't that much of a deviation from where they were original going, but as it stood, they were actually a bit closer to the village now than if they had been at the spring. It wouldn't take very long at all for the two of them to reach the village, nor would it take longer still from there to reach the Elder at the Shrine. The Shrine was atop a hill that lead up to the Great Sakura Tree, a very small incline from the base of the village to the shrine itself. Not a difficult journey at all.
There was, however, one thing that he could answer, as Sayha had suspected. The barrier that had been formed to keep the Oni inside a specific area. He knew that that was a secret technique that the Elder had brought over from the country she had originally came from. One that he, along with everybody else in this world, was not allowed to know. He turned ahead, as he answered. "The barrier is one that can contain the very essence of evil within itself. She has forbidden anybody from learning the spell, as it consumes a very important thing that is needed for a person to live on." His eyes turned sharp, as he continued. "It consumes all the hatred and darkness within one's spirit, and replaces it with nothing." Hiro turned his head a little bit, addressing Sayha further. "Aku no Owari no Kabe. Or, the Wall of Evil's End, in our language. It was the ultimate cleansing ability of the people whom the Elder had originated from. It removed all the darkness within a person, and brought them up to a heightened state of being. That, though, comes at a price that not many understand... Their lives." He fell silent for a few moments.
Shaking his head a bit, he would continue further, as they walked. "The Elder was the one who conjured the barrier, using the magic essence in the air, replicated the same effect. Just like the old Yin and Yang story, Anima and Miasma cannot exist without one another. Within every bit of Anima, or the force by which magic happens in this world, there is bound to be some Miasma, right? The Elder has managed to use that Miasma in the air around us as the substitute for darkness. As a result, the area surrounding it would become enriched with Anima, which would throw off the balance. Because of this, we have to cleanse the Oni in a way that their Miasma is spread back into the air, evening out the whole process." He chuckled a bit, realizing how crazy it would sound. "Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?" He admitted. "I'm sure I probably don't need to explain further, since you probably get the idea. Balance, and maintaining that balance, is exactly why if multiple Oni spawn, they have to be destroyed at the same time. If one is destroyed before the other, well..." He trailed off for a moment, before turning back around, a smile on his face. "I'm proud to say that I don't know that answer. And, I hope to never know, really." He looked ahead again, as the two of them marched on. They were getting closer to the village, and it wouldn't be long until they got there now.

[attr="class","capsol"] The conversation had fallen off for now, but that wasn't that big of a deal for the time being. The village was just up ahead, and Hiro could see the various buildings. The village was perfectly surrounded by the various Sakura Trees that tended to be commonplace in this forest, though they seemed to be more frequent around the village. What was so fantastic about this was that the trees acted as wards, surrounding the Great Sakura Tree Spirit at the high end of the village. Directing for Sayha to follow him, he moved a bit off course, so that they would walk in from the main road, and not just from out of nowhere, where some people might be suspicious as to what or why. If given the worst situation, it might throw people into a full-on panic, since the people of the village were not quite used to everything that Adventurers were quite used to. Hiro led Sayha into the gate, as the light from the glowing Moon Spirit above the village shown down onto them. Even though it wasn't night yet, it was still bright, yet soft enough to not cause any harm to the eyes.
The further they walked in, the more apparent of a Feudal Japanese-era looking town it was. A few people would look over, and smile to the two. They were fairly welcoming of newcomers, and enjoyed the commerce and trade that the Adventurers brought with them. Back when Hiro had first helped find the town, they were skeptical, but since the treaty was formed that no aggression would come to the people of Moon Dance Village, they have been much more open to new people. A few kids were running around the pathways, chasing one another. Hiro smiled, as it was nice to see such a happy sight, especially given that the Spirits of Malice had just been defeated, not too long ago. "There's lots of reasons why I love this place." Hiro said, without thinking. "The trees, the animals, the spirits that surrounded us all... But one thing will never be more beautiful in my eyes while here." He turned to Sayha for just a moment, pointing to the kids. "Those smiles." Lowering his hand again, and looking forward, the two could see the Great Sakura Tree Spirit up ahead, and the shrine at its base.
The massive branches of the tree spread out a long way, and the pink petals above were fluttering with the autumnal breeze. Some had fallen off, giving it a very surreal and spiritual feeling to it all. However, they were still on their way to get to the Elder in time, so Hiro didn't slow his pace at all. "You'll be able to check it out again at another time." He started, chuckling afterwards. "I have a feeling you'll be coming here again, huh?" They soon passed by the dojo that Hiro had done his training at, which he figured Sayha would notice on their way up. Just beyond there was the shrine. It looked kind of like Hiro's home here in the forest, as it was intended to be the house for the Elder. Walking up to the door, Hiro knocked on it, and announced who all was there. "Elder Yamamoto, it's Hiro and Sayha. Sayha wanted to know if she could speak with you?" As he opened up the door, a frying pan was already flying toward him. He instinctively ducked out of the way, and looked back in. "Ha! Missed me this ti-" A soup ladle made its way perfecting into the center of Hiro's face, which caused him to stumble backwards and fall onto his ass. "OW!" He shouted, more surprised by the sudden impact.
The Elder, a very elderly looking old woman, made her way to the door. Her eyes were perfectly glazed over, giving a very heavy implication that she was blind. "You damned brat!" She scolded him. "Wait for me to acknowledge you before you open the door!" After a scowl, she adopted a rather happy smile onto her face, and spoke to the Assassin. "Come on in, my dear, and have a seat. We can talk for as long as you'd like." Elder Yamamoto was about to walk back inside, when she was about to say something. She heard the Monk picking up the frying pan and ladle, and nodded. "You know exactly where those go. After you've put them back, wait outside." The Elder welcomed Sayha into the house with her arms, as she started to walk in. Hiro gave Sayha a defeated smile.
"Looks like I'll be waiting out here for whenever you're done." His normal demeanor reappeared about him, despite the very obvious ladle-mark on his head. "Don't worry, I won't have any food without you. I might just run down and grab some food to prepare when we get home." Hiro was just walking into the house, and headed off toward the kitchen. "I'll make us something nice!" He said, as he disappeared into the house.
The Elder was leading Sayha over to a room with a few cushion-style chairs on the ground, and a small table before it. A small pot of tea was just nearby, and she was pouring out her own cup. As Sayha walked into the room, the Elder spoke to her. "Please, come right in. Have a seat. Would you like some tea?" She asked, and would pour some if the girl wanted any. After all the tea was taken care of, she continued. "I'm sure you must be tired, so I will try and answer whatever it is you need answering to a simple explanation. Hiro must be a handful to deal with, for even you, too." She gave an old woman laugh, and looked up toward the girl. "Now, then." She situated herself across the table from wherever Sayha would sit, as if she had known where she was sitting. "What is it I can help you with, my child?"

Hiro lead Sayha through the village, and the villagers there seemed rather friendly to them. She really hadn’t been around Landers except in passing, but most of the time she felt like Adventurers were outsiders to them… which they most definitely were. Here, though, it didn’t feel that way. Hiro began to talk, mostly about why he liked the Village which made her smile. He seemed very passionate about the Forest and Village. As they kept walking, they passed what was the Great Sakura Tree as well as the dojo that she assumed Hiro referred to a few times. When she saw the dojo, she slightly felt her heart sink a bit, remembering the last time she had been at hers. They kept walking and ended up passing a shrine to see a house that looked very similar to Hiro’s. Hiro knocked on the door, saying who was there, and saying that Sayha wanted to speak with her. Hiro then opened the door and was greeted with a frying pan being thrown at him, which Sayha quickly sidestepped out of the way. Then a soup ladle flew and found a place right in the middle of Hiro’s face which made Sayha suppress some laughter.
A very elderly looking woman that appeared blind came to the door. She called Hiro a brat, which instantly made her realize that she was the Elder’s actual body instead of just spirit. She told Hiro to put the kitchen items away and then wait outside. Hiro did so and told Sayha that he’d wait for her. The Elder invited her inside and to have a seat which Sayha did. Sayha was offered tea but politely declined. The Elder was sure that Sayha was tired, which she was slightly. She also said Hiro must be a handful to which she smiled, “He can be, but I think we work well together.” The Elder than sat herself across from her and asked what she could help Sayha with.
“Well, there’s a few things,” Sayha admitted, “First thing though… is that I would like your permission to train here once I get stronger. I used to take martial arts classes and had to stop due to… unfavorable circumstances, but I do miss it.” Sayha then paused to await the Elder’s answer, and she was also trying to figure out how to word her question.
“I’m not sure if you were there when it happened,” Sayha chose to begin, “but a Myobu that I had met fused with me, and I saw the Myobu’s memories. In the memories I saw that all the trees here are connected to the Great Sakura Tree, and while I was fused even I was. I also saw that the Myobu was once a girl who had been trained here. I believe that the Myobu was re-born from being that girl. Is that true? Also… if that was true, was the girl transformed into the Myobu because she used the barrier technique you used on the Oni earlier? The Myobu told me that all things are connected… so it could just be my imagination.” Sayha paused, thinking back to how the Myobu had come to her and let her pet it. “I also… don’t think it was a coincidence that the Myobu came to me in the first place, and I was hoping you could tell me what it meant.”

[attr="class","capsol"] The Elder had chuckled a bit when Sayha had mentioned her belief on how Hiro was. After that, she listened to the girl's first question, sipping a little bit of tea. She nodded slowly. "You may come here as often as you would like. The forest is home to many, and welcomes those who do not bring it harm." Afterward, she allowed the girl to speak further, having fallen silent again. Her expression softened up even more, after the girl had admitted that a Myobu had fused with her, which the Elder was more than aware of, though she wouldn't say anything about it for the time being. She had paused for just a moment, but continued with a sentiment that the Elder nodded at. Pouring herself out some more tea, the old woman took another sip from it, as the girl had finished up what she was saying. She sat back down, and looked over to the girl, her eyes hazed over and seemingly distant. After a second, she spoke. "It's more than obvious how confused you are about everything, and it would do me the best good to explain things from last to first." She placed the cup down onto the table again.
"The Myobu knew you would come one day, as it had felt a connection with you since it had come to live here. The girl in the vision was not the Myobu, but something very close to the girl. The Myobu is a spiritual representation of the blade she held, remembering all the fighting styles she had performed. That may seem unrealistic to you, which, admittedly, it really is, until you think about what the Myobu had told you." She took a small sip from the tea, letting the words return to the girl's mind. "Emotions and feelings are powerful forces within humankind, both in this world, and even in your own. Though, here, they can manifest into powerful beings. The girl loved her sword, as much as you loved your classes. The Myobu could tell, from the second you walked into the forest, that you and her master were one in the same. She loved learning how to fight, and the blade knew that she did, so when the girl finally passed, the spirit that had been fueled into the blade rebirthed itself into a spirit, and was reforged by the forest into a Myobu. That is what she meant by 'Everything is Connected,' my child." She looked directly at the girl, a smile on her face, as she stood up.
"Now, to answer your other question, about having seen the forest in the vision." She raised her hand, and the room around them began to change. The Elder had recreated a perfect replica of the tree that Sayha had been hiding on, and the line that appeared underneath her body was there once more. "This line signifies that the Forest had connected with you, embracing you within its protection. The Myobu needed only to fuse with you for a moment, to have the Forest recognize you as its own." The vision around them started to swirl around, and they seemed to have flown up and into the sky, looking down onto the forest. There were lines sweeping all across the forest, leading up to the Great Sakura Spirit in the center, just like Sayha had seen in her vision. "The Forest is a living, breathing being, and it knows what is allowed in its borders. It accepts those with certain emotions and feelings, and decides upon their nature if they are right to be within it. The Forest is kind, and willing to give everybody, as you would say, the 'benefit of the doubt' when they first enter." The vision behind them started to swirl around again, leading into the village, and centered upon Hiro, walking through the marketplace.
A line was very prominently underneath him, and held a much more profound color. "While he may be a handful sometimes, the Forest recognizes him as one of its safeguarding forces." Hiro walked up to a stall, and began conversing with the merchant behind it, smiling. The vision then began to fade away, and the room returned to normal. As it faded, a bright pink line could be seen from the Elder, leading outside to the Great Sakura Tree. She sat back down, and continued to speak. "Look down at the floor, before yourself, and notice the line at your feet. This is the initiation right of the Forest, given unto you. It has accepted you, but wishes to observe you further, before it makes its final decision on you. However, the color that it is now, shows that the forest is leaning toward accepting you. Once you have proven yourself further, it will grant you its blessing, allowing you to fully learn the abilities and secrets, hidden deep within its roots." The Elder fell silent, knowing that she had left things quite vague for the time being. She wanted Sayha to come back, and prove her worth to the forest on her own accord, without any other guidance. She had been introduced to it. All that she needed to do now was as said before. The Elder sipped from her tea once again, as she waited to see if Sayha had any response at all.

Sayha listened carefully to the Elders words, and things were starting to make sense. The Elder welcomed Sayha to return as long as she did not intent to harm the forest. Then the Elder first explained that the Myobu was not the girl but rather something important to the girl, and that the Myobu knew that she, Sayha, would eventually come to the forest. Sayha guessed that the Myobu was a spiritual representation of the girl’s love of sword dancing; that would make sense. Next she explained the vision to her, by showing her what had happened to her from a 3rd person view. The line that had connected Sayha to the tree represented her connection to the forest, and that the forest was its own being. The vision then changed to that of Hiro, and the Elder continued to state that the Forest recognized him as a safeguarding force. The room changed to normal, but there was some sort of line connecting the Elder to something, the Sakura Tree as she was explained. She looked down to see her own line that was also connected to the Tree.
In the back of her mind, she made some decisions. She did plan on coming back to train, and she planned on getting a house in the Forest once she got to level 30 since it sounded like a good time to get settled. She didn’t want it close to the village like Hiro’s was, but rather the outskirts so maybe she would get Myobu visiting her.
“Thank you for your explanation, Elder,” Sayha stood and gave a slight bow, “For now, I will focus on getting stronger. Then I will return to the forest and hopefully learn more. I have a feeling I have a long road ahead of me when it comes to that.”

[attr="class","capsol"] The Elder smiled again to the girl, and nodded her head toward her. "Go and strengthen yourself, young one." She said, before standing up herself. She walked out and into a different room, and headed out into the opening where the tree was, out of sight of the Assassin. She sent a spirit back to Hiro, so that he may come and meet up with Sayha, whenever she would reach the door. After having done so, she walked to the small shrine before the Tree. She knelt down, and started to pray before it. As she had done so, the Myobu that Sayha had met found its way to the tree, sitting down behind the Elder. "You saw what she was capable of, did you not?" She questioned the small spirit animal. Surely enough, though, the Amaterasu that had accompanied the Myobu earlier strode its way into the clearing. It sat down next to the Elder, bowing its head before the Tree.
"Her and I are quite alike." It said, its voice only reaching the Elder's ears. She smiled, and continued to pray. Hiro was just finishing up his marketing when the spirit had sent him the message that Sayha was done with the Elder for now. After having gotten the message, he started to walk back toward the shrine. He knew that Sayha likely had a bunch of other questions she wanted to ask, and have answered, but all those would come in time. Even Hiro had to learn things over the course of time, which meant that she would also have a journey much like his own, whenever she next entered the forest. She would likely become much stronger as a result, even before they'd reconvene in the forest's borders, which caused him to wonder how much stronger she would get in that time. With this question still in his mind, he returned to the Elder's home, all the groceries he had inside his inventory to make food out of soon after.
He walked up past he dojo, stopping and looking at it for a little while. Perhaps Sayha would like to visit the dojo before much else happened? It was definitely nice to be among the armors and such, especially when trying to focus on training. His mind shifted back to the time that he had tried to get a bunch of Monks together to do some training within the dojo, and how much of a mess that that had turned out to be. So, regimented training likely wouldn't be his strong suit. He felt that he would leave the teaching to the Elder, and just be a sparring partner from time to time. He chuckled a bit, remembering how the Dwarf had tried to train others using his own methods, and how well that didn't go over. Hiro was about to walk back over and into the dojo for a moment, but remembered that Sayha was likely either waiting for him there, or had gone on ahead. Wanting to make sure he wasn't late, he started to walk back to the Shrine once again, stopping just a little ways from the door. He would begin to wait from there, waiting for whenever Sayha would come back out.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro was a bit too much of an idiot, and hadn't noticed that Sayha was just a little ways away. Perhaps he had thought a little too much about needing to wait for her, and forgot that she could have just moved around a bit on her own. He smiled at the girl, as she walked over to him. The moment she mentioned food, Hiro's stomach seemed to violently agree that it was time for such a thing. Feeling slightly embarrassed by it, he couldn't help but nod to the girl's question. "Food's the plan." He said, as he began to open up his inventory. "I picked up a few things that we could have, if you'd like. I've got some raw fish and other ingredients for Sushi; eggs, daikon radish, soy sauce, and a few other things to make some Tamagoyaki; noodles, broth, and a whole bunch of stuff we could make into some really nice, traditional Ramen." He paused for a moment, as he was scrolling through. "If any of those really sound good to you, we can go and get started on making those. If not, well... I may not have a lot back at my house, so there isn't much else I can offer."
"Or..." Hiro began, a smirk piling up on his face. "We could just have everything, and make a big kind of a meal or something like that." Hiro would be the first to admit: When he gets hungry, neither wind, rain, nor fire will stop him from getting food. All of the food was definitely appetizing to the Monk, and he hoped that Sayha would agree. Though, since she was the guest, he would make whatever she would like. That being the case, though, they would need to return to his house in order to make it. "If none of those sound appealing, though, there's a small shop nearby that makes meals for Adventurers that may show up. They make just about everything you can think of, and they're super quick about it, too." He chuckled a bit. "The owner's a really nice guy, so he might give us a discount." Hiro added. He had helped out the owner with a few chores a while back, one of which turned into saving his son form a Lesser Oni, to which the man felt indebted to Hiro. Every time he went there, he would always be given an opportunity to pick a side dish to have for free, which he greatly appreciated.
All this thinking about food, however, had made him realize that he had forgotten to ask Sayha about what she talked about with the Elder. The whole point was to come here, so she could speak with Elder Yamamoto about some stuff, but he didn't get a chance to ask her about it, nor did he have a moment to sit in and figure out what it was she was confused about. However, the more he thought about it, the more he realized that it wasn't necessarily his place to ask about it. It was their conversation, and Hiro had no reason to intrude upon their conversation. What was spoken and dealt with there was meant for them, and he would respect that. Besides, not only did he feel like if he asked Sayha about it he'd get another punch to the stomach, or perhaps a death glare, but he'd find a ladle in his face every day for the next two or three weeks. While his curiosity would get the best of him from time to time, it was definitely not something that he would pursue at such great risks. Instead, Hiro would just wait for Sayha to give a response to the options on the table at the moment. Table. He thought about food again. His stomach growled again. There was no escaping this, was there? Letting his hunger stay present in the back of his mind, he stayed silent.

Hiro agreed that food had been the plan, and that was when Sayha herself realized that she too was fairly hungry. He explained that he bought ingredients for sushi, a dish called tamagoyaki, and traditional ramen. He also added that if none of that was appetizing that there was an adventurer’s shop that sold food. “Well to be honest, I haven’t had any of the food you just listed,” Sayha replied, “I’ve had ramen but not the traditional kind, but if it’s okay with you the large meal with the three things you listed sound good. Though you’re a mechanic right? I thought only chefs could make food in this world.”
Sayha thought back to when she had first been trapped into the world. All the food was bland and tasteless. Well not completely tasteless. It tasted like a soggy cracker which was disgusting. Though she did remember when someone had found out how to cook food that actually tasted like food. It was a brief phenomenon, but it impacted everyone. Sayha was thankful to have food that tasted like something. Although she didn’t do much at the beginning, and she wasn’t quite sure why. Maybe it just took her a while to figure out how things worked? She shrugged it off mentally. No point in thinking about wasted time. Though she was indeed curious on how Hiro would cook the food. Was there some sort of item that allowed him to make food?
Then the thought occurred to her that Hiro didn’t ask what she and the Elder had talked about. Then again, she had explained what she wanted to talk to her about on the way. If he asked, she would tell him of course. It wasn’t like she was trying to keep it a secret.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro laughed a little at Sayha's remark about him being a mechanic. "Don't have to be a chef to make food, do you?" He said, as he started to walk back in the direction of his house. Well, actually, it did take a chef to make food. But, that was with making new recipes, so making anything that was already made wouldn't be a problem. "To be honest, though, I have an old cook book that one of the villagers had given me, when I asked how they made something a while back. It had a bunch of recipes in there, and they were nice enough to convert it to English, so I could read it. So, I know how to make a few things." He turned back and looked at her for a moment. "How else could I have made that tea earlier?" He asked. It was a simple enough concoction to make, but if only chefs could make food, then only brewers could make drinks, right? Even if tea was just water with a leaf or two mixed in, at its most basic formulation, it would still be rather difficult for someone of the other crafting classes to even make anything like that. But, that's for later.
Having that cook book to make different recipes made it easier especially for cooking-inept people like Hiro, since all of the instructions were rather easy to follow. If Sayha had liked the food that she would end up having at his place, he'd be more than willing to lend it to her as well. The art of cooking didn't need to be held by only a few people, you know! That being said, though, he really hoped that Sayha would enjoy the food. However, they needed to get back to his house, before much of anything else happened. As they left the village, Hiro remained mostly silent, while his stomach did a lot of the talking, much to his dismay. Either way, though, he would lead Sayha out of the village, and back to his home.
Hiro opened the door to his house, stepping aside so Sayha could walk indoors before him. Once they were both inside, and he had shut the door behind them, and taken off his shoes. He walked into the kitchen, and grabbed the book. He started to pile up all the food on the counter, opening the book up to the correct pages. He looked over toward the Assassin and spoke. "It shouldn't take all that long to prepare everything, since it doesn't take a lot of time to make all of this stuff. We should be eating rather quickly, so you can hang out for a minute if you'd like." He turned back to the ingredients, and started to chop up some of the vegetables and meat. "Or, you can come in here and watch, if you'd like!" He joked, chuckling a bit. He focused on making the food from there, hoping that he wouldn't mess it up all that much. He'd made this food a few times before, but even the most experienced swordsman still cuts themselves from time to time. With that in mind, he moved quickly and carefully.

Hiro had laughed at her comment about not being a chef. He explained that you didn’t need to be a chef to cook… that was news to her. She thought that was how it worked in that world. Hiro started to walk towards his house, and Sayha followed him. As they walked, Hiro explained that he had an old cook book that he used, and that was also how he had made the tea earlier. Sayha hadn’t thought of that before… usually she just drank water. It wasn’t for any particular reason other than that was what she always drank. She drank soda on and off on the other side, but it was never a regular thing since it wasn’t recommended by her martial arts teachers. Sayha thought to herself that maybe making a cookbook would be a good idea. She was a Scribe with her crafting subclass. Maybe she could do something along those lines once she got going.
After the two of them reached Hiro’s house, he held the door open for Sayha again, and she walked in. They both took of their shoes, and Sayha took of her katanas as she had before and set them next to her boots. She walked into the kitchen when Hiro began talking to her again. He explained that it wouldn’t take long and she could either just hang out or she could watch.
“I’ll stick around and watch,” Sayha replied, making her way off to the side so she could watch. She personally could not cook on either side. Actually she was lucky she knew how to cook pre-packaged noodles. Her step-mother wasn’t big on cooking or teaching her how to cook. Actually she wasn’t big on doing anything that involved Sayha. Even when her dojo had exhibitions, only her father would come if he wasn’t tied up in work. Unfortunately, that meant she usually was at those alone with none of her family to be there for her. She would have liked to think her parents, her birth parents, were proud of her, but her father wasn’t very good at showing emotions.
Sayha shook those thoughts off and went to watching Hiro. Maybe she could pick up some pointers by watching.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro shrugged, as Sayha had decided to hang back and watch from the other side to see how he would go about cooking everything up. Well, maybe not cooking everything, since the sushi itself would be raw seafood that he had bought from the vendors back in the village. He would worry a little less about the sushi for the moment, and would start to make up the Tamagoyaki, which was eggs along with some mitsuba parsley. Not a complex dish at all to make and prepare, though it does require a bit of time to cool down, before cutting it up properly. At this point, Hiro had made it so many times before that he likely wouldn't even need the cook book, since it's a fairly easy thing to make. "You'd better be taking notes, because this food's gonna be good." He joked, smiling a bit. Hiro started by cracking the eggs open, pouring the yolk and whites into a bowl. Afterwards, he started to cut up the mitsuba, while letting a pan start to get hot enough. As he finished cutting up the parsley, he started to mix up the seasoning mixture to put into the eggs, putting the parsley in as well.
Hiro started to ladle the eggs into the pan on the stove top, and after letting it cook a little, he started to flip it over onto itself, forming a sort of egg roll. He would do this a few more times, until the eggs were all cooked up, and the roll of food had been made, Hiro took the loaf of egg and parsley, and put it onto a cutting board. "Gonna let that cool for a bit." He began, turning back. "Eggs are easier to cut up when they've cooled." Looking back ahead of himself, he started to prepare things for the ramen. Thanks to the village nearby being Japanese in origin, it wasn't all that hard to get noodles that were prepared already, and kept in a decent way. He took out some of the various vegetables that he needed to prepare, chopped them up, and all that good stuff. The pork that he was going to put into ramen was already rather well prepared, all he needed to do was cook it. Prepping for the ramen took about as long as the tamogoyaki, but it still would turn out into a rather simple thing to make, after having practiced it for so long. That being the case, he brought over a pot to the stove, had it filled with water, and started to heat it up.
Using another pan that Hiro had access to, he started to cook up a few of the pork strips, got them all ready, and when the water on the side was boiling, he put the noodles in. Going back to the pork, he started to add in some of the various spices, soy sauce, et cetera. Makin' food! He started to add in some cabbage and bean sprouts to the mixture in the pan, and started to layer it all fairly well. Once this was done, he moved over to the noodles to check on them, to see if they were ready, which they were. It didn't take long to cook them up, thanks to game magic, or whatever. Adding a cup and a half of water to the pork and vegetables in the pan, Hiro then strained out the noodles. Once they were all set, Hiro put the noodles into a big bowl, and then started to pour the pork, vegetables, and the broth from it all into the bowl. From here, Hiro cheated a little bit, and opened up his inventory. He pulled out the sushi, since he didn't know how exactly to make every kind of sushi, and every time he tried to, he ended up failing pretty horribly. Looking back, he gave a defeated smile. "I'm bad with Sushi, so I figured I'd save you the displeasure and got some from one of the vendors."
Now that the tamagoyaki had had some time to cool off, he started to cut it up into six even slices. Placing everything onto a tray, including a few extra plates, utensils, and bowls, he started to stack everything up. "Shall we?" Hiro asked, as he made his way into the dining room. He put everything down, and started to grab some of the dishes before himself. Afterwards, he started to grab some of the food off the tray, and onto his plate and dish. The tea was still there, so all he had to do was heat it up. But, he was half expecting to wait until Sayha had given the food a try, just to make sure his cooking wasn't absolutely awful. Since the cook book had helped him learn quite well how to make the food, he was still unsure of his own ability as a cook, especially because the Monk didn't have the proper subclass. He waited for just a moment, to see her reaction.

Hiro didn’t mind Sayha watching, and he joked that she should take notes. She was good at mentally taking notes which she had planned on doing anyway. Hiro started with some type of egg dish which Sayha assumed was the tamagoyaki. It looked pretty straight forward though she couldn’t identify everything he had put in. Once he was done with the dish, he explained he was going to let it cool off before cutting them. Then, he moved right along to the next dish which she assumed was the ramen.
Sayha watched as Hiro cut up the meat which looked like pork. The he pulled out a pot and began to boil water in said pot. He added the noodles once the water was boiling and moved onto chopping up more vegetables. Once the noodles were done boiling, he strained them and put them in a bowl. After that, he added the pork and other vegetables in the bowl as well as broth.
Hiro pulled out something from his inventory, and he explained, looking slightly defeated, that he was not good at making sushi and had bought some. She wasn’t sure how hard sushi was to make since it was technically uncooked, but she wasn’t going to say anything especially since she was probably horrible at it as well.
Hiro then went back to the egg dish and cut it up into slices. Once that was done, he placed the food, some plates, and utensils on a tray. He moved into the dining room, and Sayha followed behind.
Hiro set everything on the table, grabbing himself a plate and some food for himself. Sayha took a plate and bowl as well and took a little bit of all three dishes. She ended up in the spot she had sat earlier that day, and the tea was still there. She had kind of forgotten about the tea, but she set the cup aside for the time being.
Hiro seemed to be waiting for her verdict so Sayha took a bite of the ramen. “It’s really good,” Sayha said after, “Thanks for cooking, Hiro.” She continued to eat the ramen, but she also took bites of the tamagoyaki and sushi. She thought all of it was really good, and she had suddenly realized how hungry she actually was. She had had a small breakfast that morning, but a lot of time had passed since then… and she hadn’t quite realized how much time it had been. She briefly glanced at her clock in her interface.
