[attr="class","capsol"] Thankfully, the Myobu that had appeared seemed to be just what Hiro and Sayha needed to avoid a much more awkward conversation, concerning the baths and other things that could have possibly lead Hiro into a world of hurt that he didn't necessarily want. The idea of having his eyes gouged out with katanas didn't sound all that appealing to him, as much as it would seem to pretty much anybody else in the world. Hiro was grateful for the little fox spirit that had appeared, since that meant that the conversation would have been stopped in its tracks, and nothing more would be said about it. He watched as Sayha had crouched down before the creature, which seemed to be rather interested in her. He smiled at the whole thing, as she carefully began to pet its head. The Myobu was one of three fox spirits in this wood, and were the most docile and lovable of the bunch. They were also something akin to healers, as their special skill involved creating some fire that would be used to heal allies nearby. It was definitely wonderful to know that such a beast was alive and active in this world.
Eventually, though, it had bounded off, back toward the Amaterasu that it had been traveling with. His expression turned to a more worried one, as the beast was looking directly at him, as though it were glaring. The forest hadn't quite forgiven him yet, which he understood, and only would once he fulfills his duty in taking care of the Spirits of Malice. He instead decided to bow before the Amaterasu, as the smaller creature headed back off toward it. Not a deep bow, but still one that reflected respect for the creature. He straightened back up, when Sayha had stood up. She probably saw him finish the bow, but his eyes fixed on the Amaterasu for a little bit. He would need to heal the forest as well, though his intention wouldn't be able to get through until he had actually completed what it was that he needed to do. He would prove that he was sorry for the actions he had taken through the work he does from here. His conviction was set in stone at this point, like it had been for all the other points in his time here in this forest. He hadn't actually messed up quite this bad before in the forest, so it felt as though the forest were testing his resolution.
His attention finally returned to Sayha, as he scrambled in his mind to remember what it was she had just asked. "Oh, uhh... Right." He began, after a small pause. He turned his head away a bit, a smile forced onto his face. "Not usually, no. They tend to keep away from people, though aren't the kind to shy away from a kind soul." As he spoke, he felt the guilt rise up in him a bit more. He needed to deal with the problem at hand, though that wouldn't be for a little bit. He looked Sayha in the eyes, though, and motioned toward where they had been walking. "C'mon, we're almost home." Hiro started to walk, letting his mind wander for a few moments. After that spell of time, he let out a sigh, realizing that Sayha would no doubt have noticed his change in behavior. "I'm sorry." He began, still facing ahead. "I've never been in quite this kind of situation before, where I'm the one who causes the Spirits of Malice to show up. To be perfectly frank... I feel incredibly guilty about it, as I should." His tone had shifted down slightly, perhaps inflicting how much he was bothered by the whole situation. He stayed in this state of mind for a few more moments, before straightening his back up entirely, and stretching his arms up high above his head. "I could really use that bath, y'know?" Hiro chuckled a bit, as he kept walking along, his thoughts still bothering him.

Sayha, as she stood up, had noticed that Hiro was bowing to the Myobi’s companion. When she studied said companion, she realized it was glaring at Hiro. It seemed that the problem that had happened turned out to be a lot larger than she had initially thought. It took a while for Hiro to realize that she had asked a question, but he did eventually answer. Afterwards, he motioned for her to follow him since his home was nearby. They walked in silence for a while, but Sayha could tell that Hiro was still off. Though, she wasn’t sure what to say to help. Hiro apologized as they walk, explaining he had never been the cause of the Oni before, and that he still felt guilty. After a few more minutes, he chuckled saying he could really use the bath.
“You’re already been forgiven, Hiro,” Sayha said softly after a while, “There’s no point in beating yourself over it. What’s done is done; you can’t go back to the past. What you need to do is stop dwelling on your mistakes and focus on fixing the problem. If you stay negative, you’re only feeding the problem.”
Sayha was certainly not known for her pep talks… though she did hope that what she was saying helped. She noticed that they had arrived back at Hiro’s house.
“Also Hiro… there’s something I want to talk about other than the forest after the bath,” Sayha said, “It’s nothing serious or anything. It’s just something I’m curious about.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro knew that he shouldn't be dwelling on it as much as he was. It only added to his own problems, as well as it would be causing Sayha a bit of trouble as well. While that made him feel a bit more like a pain, he decided to brush it off to the side. What she had said was true: He knew what he had to do in order to make everything up. However, waiting for that time to come would be the most painful part, since he would much rather try and fix things as soon as possible. But, there wasn't much of anything he could do for the moment, so he needed to lighten up a bit. There was something he needed to do, but that would come in time. However, his mind shifted back to Sayha, just as they were coming back to his house. Opening the door, he turned to face the girl. She had something she wanted to ask him after the baths they were going to take separately. "Oh, sure." Hiro spoke, after a few moments. "If I can answer it, I'll try to." He then walked into the house, took his shoes off, and started to walk toward the baths. Once he was halfway there, he turned back around.
"Thanks, Sayha." He said, a smile on his face. "I think I'll take a little bit of time to just relax while in the bath, and get my head straight. Thanks for saying what you did back there. I appreciate it." Giving her another smile, he turned and headed into the room where the men's bath was.
Hiro's body had relaxed a good deal after the bath. Nobody needs to read about all that bathing stuff. Just assume it happened, okay? Good. Anyways, Hiro decided that, after he had clothed himself again, he would spend a bit of time in the Meditation Room, waiting for whenever Sayha would be done with her own bath. He wanted to take some time to himself, and let his mind focus on the forest itself. He would show Sayha the hoverboard, after she came to him and asked him about what she was wondering beforehand. He couldn't help but wonder what exactly that was. She said it wasn't anything to worry about being serious, though he couldn't help his curiosity. Either way, he'd find out in due time.
Hiro began to take in a deep breath, letting the air fill his lungs. Closing his eyes, he began to focus on the forest around him. This was a trick he had learned from the Elder, after she had taught him how to commune with the forest. It was something similar to how the Elder had gone back to her body in order to find the Spirits of Malice. While Hiro wasn't able to look all around the forest, he was still able to sense in a small area around him. He wanted to get better at this ability, as it was only allowed in the forest. It would provide a better ring around himself, so that the Elder didn't have to warn Hiro suddenly. When he didn't sense anything around them, he opened his eyes back up, and let out the air he had inhaled. He leaned back where he sat, and looked out the windows in the room. The trees were all being gently blown by the wind, which he found to be rather soothing. He decided to stand back up, and stretch a little bit. His mind was no longer clouded by his thoughts from beforehand, which he had to thank Sayha for. He'd do that in a bit, and instead, he decided to just stand here for a little bit, waiting for whenever she was all set. He also remembered to be ready to bring the hoverboard over sometime soon, but that wouldn't be until later.

Hiro said that he would answer Sayha’s question if she could, and she knew that he could. Though, he probably wouldn’t be expecting her question. They entered his home, and she took of her boots while he took off his shoes. She followed him down the hallway where she remembered the baths being, but Hiro stopped about half way down the hallway. He turned, thanking Sayha for what she had said earlier. She nodded, giving a smile; her pep talk must have worked, at least a little bit. Hiro turned to where the men’s bath was, and Sayha went into the women’s side.
The bath did make Sayha feel better though she had already felt better after Hiro apologized. It didn’t take her long to bathe, dry off, and get dressed, but she had a feeling she took longer than Hiro. Unlike Hiro, she had extremely long hair, which she sometimes regretted. Though, she was proven correct that Hiro was done first. When Sayha was done getting dressed, she left the bath area and saw Hiro in the room that she wasn’t quite sure what it was. At that particular moment, he seemed to just be sitting there. After a few moments, he stood up and looked out the windows in the room, not realizing that she was there. She walked over to the entrance, “What kind of room is this one? I never quite figured that out.”
She paused after a moment, waiting for Hiro to answer, but she decided to go ahead and ask what she had been thinking about. “So the question that I had for you… could you tell me a little bit more about your guild? You’ve only talked about it briefly, and I’m curious.”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro was a bit too focused on having looked around the forest in his immediate area. So much so that, after he had finished and stood up, he didn't notice Sayha there behind him. He turned around after he heard her voice, slightly surprised. He relaxed himself a bit, as she asked her question about the room they were currently in. He put a smile back onto his face, having settled himself back down, and answered. "This is the Meditation Room. The Elder had this room be added for the sake of my training, which would involve becoming more attuned to the forest." Hiro walked to the center, and pointed to the ground. "The people of the village agreed that it would be nice to have, and even threw in all the furniture needed to have a fully completed room. Definitely a wonderfully kind gesture from the people, to which I owe them much thanks. As such, I've accepted a pseudo-job as becoming a dignitary of sorts for the Village and the rest of the Adventurers in London. They looked for a peaceful relationship, and who better to do it than one of the guys who found the village?"
Hiro hoped that his answer would be enough, and thought that he might as well throw in a bit of history into this place as well. But, she eventually got to a question about his guild, in that this would be the question she had mentioned beforehand. Honestly, he was a little surprised with her having asked that question, of all things, though he figured he might as well answer it with clarity. "Well, I guess there's not a whole lot to explain about the guild, except that I'm proud of it." He smiled a little, thinking about it. "Myself, Midori, and Fernweh decided that we'd go ahead and make a guild for ourselves and our friends that we had come here with. Kazuko joined up, pretty soon after, and from there, we just pal'd around. Running around, not really doing a lot, but we were together. We had a bit of fun, while we had time, and it certainly made me feel like we weren't entirely on our own, given the situation we're all in. It honestly..." His voice softened a little. "It felt like a home to me. Despite not having a guild house or anything to call our own at the time. It just felt compact. Simple. And fun. I've really enjoyed every moment of it."
He chuckled. "I remember this one time, where we were just exploring into Sarum for the first time. Midori, Fernweh, and myself journeyed over to the site where Stonehenge is. You know what I'm talking about? Well, this was back when I was level 30, so quite some time ago now." Hiro threw his arms up and around after this point, to better explain everything through motions. "Then, suddenly: Stonehenge started to rumble, and it started to come to life! Bastard caught me off guard so bad, it slammed its arm into me, and I was sent flying! Who would've thought Stonehenge was a Boss monster! I sure as hell didn't!" Hiro laughed a little bit more after this point. "Man, we were thrown for a hell of a loop in that instance. Oh, and then there was this one time Midori and I were doing some work, and some dude with a Pompadour started to give us shit for talking to his supposed girlfriend. Took me not 2 seconds to throw his ass to the ground, and he scampered away like a scared little baby." He sighed a bit, turning his head to the side. "Those were so long ago now. Good times..." He trailed off into the land of remembrance for a few moments, before refocusing himself.
"Anyways, the guild has stayed kind of the same, though it's much more cozy. More people, the guild house, and lord knows there's more possibilities now as a result. It really feels homey now, and I couldn't be any more proud of how things are turning out in the guild right now." He finished his statement, confidence in his voice. "I can't help but be happy with the guild, even if it's in a bit of a rough spot. Though... I'm hoping to change that soon." Hiro winked toward Sayha, signifying he had a plan of sorts. "That probably doesn't answer much for you, but I can't really explain it any better than something I'd consider a small family." He genuinely felt like he and the guild were fairly close-knit, despite the differences between them all. Though, his curiosity caught up to him by this point. "So, what made you ask about the guild? Just curious, perhaps?" Having returned a question of his own to his companion, Hiro waited for a reply.

When Hiro explained that the extra room was a meditation room, it made sense. Sayha never really thought about meditation, but when he mentioned that the Elder had it built for him and how the whole communicating with the forest worked, it clicked for Sayha. Meditation had never been something Sayha was good at; her mind always seemed to lose its focus about thirty seconds in. She figured if she wanted to learn more about the forest, she would probably have to work on that. Hiro, then, went to answer her question about the guild. He explained how it started with him and two other people and it just kind of grew from there. He also explained about some event that must have happened at Stonehenge which sounded kind of fun actually. Hiro continued to talk, stating that the guild was kind of cozy but going through a slight rough patch. He stated he had plans to change that, but he didn’t elaborate. It must have been something pretty interesting and big if he wasn’t giving away any secrets at that time. Hiro then turned and asked Sayha why she asked about the guild, though it seemed he thought it was just out of curiosity.
“Curiosity is part of it,” Sayha nodded, “It’s actually something I’ve been thinking about on and off. I don’t’ remember if I’ve said this before, but I’ve played all sorts of MMO games. I’ve been in a lot of good, some good, most bad… and I’ve been thinking that maybe it would be better for me to find a guild now in this world since it seems we’re stuck here… though maybe stuck isn’t the right word. Honestly, I don’t feel stuck. I’m happy here, happier than I have been in a while.”
Sayha paused, not quite sure if she should say the next part, “Well a thought came to me earlier… about maybe joining a guild and giving one a chance again… and I was wondering if your guild had any spots open…”

[attr="class","capsol"] While Hiro listened to Sayha's explanation as to why she had asked him about the guild, he found himself raising an eyebrow. He smiled a bit, at her mentioning that she was happy here in this world, although the next thing caught him completely off guard. Was... Was Sayha acting... Bashful? Her usual demeanor of being confident seemed to have taken a back seat, as far as he could tell, and now she was asking him about any openings in his guild? He knew, of course, that Apocrypha was always open to new people, and would accept anybody who wanted to be in it, but he had never been asked about the available openness of the guild before. Though, he was still a bit fixed on how Sayha had gone about that last bit. No, it was pretty fair to say he was stunned by it. Without being able to say much of anything for just a moment, he stood there, his eyes wide open. He shook his head a bit, recollecting his own thoughts, and he began to answer the Assassin's question. "I, uh, I mean, yeah. Yeah, there's room." He said, still slightly confused. "I'm sorry, you just caught me off guard with that. I didn't expect you to ask me if the guild had any vacancies..." He paused for a bit, and very quickly realized that he was being rather insensitive to the girl's question, and only reacting. He wasn't answering anything.
Hiro took in a deep breath, and calmed himself down. Returning his gaze to Sayha, he smiled. "Yes, there is always room in Apocrypha for more people. And, I would love it if you joined us. I think you'll find it to be a nice, comfortable place to be, as everybody comes from their own walks of life." He scratched the side of his head a bit, as he thought about everything. "Some people may seem a bit cold to begin with, but that's just their nature. Trust me, I should know." Chuckling a bit, he went to focus again. His disposition became a bit more stern from there. "I will say, though, that being in a guild in this world is far different than how a normal guild goes about itself. It's become something much bigger than what it would have been before. If at any time, you feel like you're in a bind, please come to me about it. I don't want anybody to feel like they're alone at all in this world. Because, in essence, that's why the guild was formed." He let his body relax a bit, since that was the main point he wanted to make. His smile was softer, as he continued. "If you do want to join, then we would be happy to have you. And even if I can't speak for the others, then I would be happy to have you. Everybody that decides to come with us on our journey is another part of our family. As such, we all move forward, together." Hiro paused for a few moments, before returning to his normal self. "I'm not gonna pressure you into joining, even though you've expressed interest, though. You take as much time as you need to decide what's best for you. All I can do is offer absolutely anything I can provide for you. As a guild leader, and as a friend." The little speech he gave might not make much sense, but he felt that his point had gotten across. He knew that the decision might not be now, but he eagerly awaited to hear her response, whenever it would come.

Sayha had a feeling that her current attitude would throw Hiro off, which it did, but she didn’t to it intentionally. She was very embarrassed to ask to join, especially since she was usually recruited so they did the asking instead… and especially because she wasn’t exactly sure why. However, there was possibly more to it than just the guild and joining said guild… she wanted to find a place where she belonged, and she wanted it to be with someone she considered a friend. Of course, she wasn’t going to say anything about the later, at least not yet… Hiro might figure it out on his own before she said anything, but that was fine. She would rather have someone else figure it out so she wouldn’t have to say. Opening up to those kinds of feelings wasn’t her strong suit… even though she seemed to be pretty open to saying “Well,” Sayha started, returning to her regular self, “I would like to join your guild. I know that it will be different here, and that’s exactly why I’m asking. Soloing in this world is okay and all, but having a back-up support system would be nice. I also want to move away from soloing so much because I know my limitations, and I know that I can only go so far by myself. Also, I think you’re one of the better guild masters I’ve met over the entire time I’ve been playing video games. I also have some other reasons that I want to be in a guild, but I’d prefer to keep them to myself for the time being.”
“Oh also… have you heard back from the Elder yet?” Sayha asked, remembering that they were still waiting for her to appear.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro nodded to the female before him, as she had rationalized out a few things. Having the guild as a back-up sounded like a fairly good strategy, as well as being a decent enough way to gain her a few extra levels, in the long run. Doing guild-oriented things would definitely be a great way for her to get experience in what she wanted to get experienced in, and it would provide her a place to stay, given she decides to make use of the Palace. But, that's not for right now. Hiro couldn't help but blush a little bit, as she had complimented him on being one of the better guild leaders she's seen. Adopting an embarrassed face and stance, he turned to the site, scratching the back of his head. "N-Nah, I'm really not." He didn't like being complimented, due to his own personal view on himself. "I'm just doing what I feel is right, and stuff..." But that was neither here nor there. What he needed to focus on for now was that Sayha was asking him if he would be willing to have her in his guild, to which the answer should have been more than obvious. As she finished up the last part of her statement about the guilds, Hiro only nodded. Her reasons were all her own, and he wasn't going to intrude upon them. He felt that she would either tell him over time, or she would likely continue to keep them to herself. Hiro understood that this might be the case, and felt it best to not question it. "You're more than welcome to join, though. Just let me know when you would like to take care of it."
Hiro's eyes returned to Sayha, when she asked if Hiro had heard anything from the Elder yet, to which he shook his head. "No, I haven't heard anything." He pointed to the center of the room for a moment. "This room allows me to meditate and examine an area around us, and even I couldn't pick anything up. They seem to be taking a while to appear, which is slightly worrying, but at the same time, relieving." He paused for a little bit, as he thought more about it. It was strange for such things to take such a long time in between summonings, or perhaps they wouldn't even appear at all, since Hiro had been forgiven by the Assassin? That didn't make sense, though, since he likely still was meant to pay for all of his transgressions against the forest. He remembered that the Amaterasu spirit hadn't yet forgiven him when he saw the Myobu and the Amaterasu with Sayha on the way back. "It's really kinda worrying..." He added again, trailing off in his mind. Hiro snapped right back to reality, and looked up at his friend. "We shouldn't worry about it for now. They'll come when they come, but for now, would you like to check out that hoverboard I was talking about?" He offered this up for an in-between for them to do now. "It's safe enough to be ridden on for a long period of time, so perhaps you'd like to see it?" Hiro stopped what he was saying, a smile gracing across his face, and would let Sayha respond whenever she was ready.

Hiro had nodded when she explained her reasons for joining the guild so at least he thought her reasons made sense. Though when she had said that she thought he was a good guild leader, he became embarrassed, turning slightly away from her, but she could see him slightly blushing which made her smile. After a moment, he said that she was welcome to join the guild and to let him know when she wanted to have it taken care of. “Next time you come to Londinium, we can take care of it; I’m usually in the city when I’m not doing anything,” Sayha responded.
Hiro then told her that he hadn’t heard back from the Elder yet. He explained that the meditation room he was in allowed him to feel the area around the house. He was mixed between relieved and concerned since there was no presence which slightly confused her. If they weren’t appearing, that was a good thing, at least Sayha thought. Though if Hiro was concerned they weren’t appearing, there must be a reason.
Then Hiro bought up the hoverboard. “I would love to check it out,” Sayha responded, “Though if we’re going to try to ride it, be warned I have never ridden any type of board so I may not be very coordinated, at least at first.” She had how skateboards and snowboards worked before, mostly skateboards though. However, she was never able to figure out how the skateboard guys could do tricks on their boards let alone ride them. Hoverboard would be different of course… but it also sounded more difficult as well.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro shrugged. "It's not that much different from a skateboard, to be honest." He said, honestly. The hoverboard he had made was intended to be similar to the skateboards he made a while ago now, though it was meant to have the capacity to hover, and not need consistent kicks in order to get it to move forward. Hiro began to walk toward the inner part of the house, passing Sayha. "C'mon, I'll show you." Motioning to follow him, Hiro walked back over to the entrance of the house, and opened up one the closet. He began to pull out a strangely-shaped looking slab of metal, with different colors on it. This was his own custom hoverboard, which was inspirited by the weapon of a character in a video game he'd played a while ago. One that Midori wasn't too much a fan of, but a few of his other friends and he loved to play, back in the day. Just bringing it back out was enough to give him nostalgia from the days gone by, and how much he enjoyed playing that game. He was especially a fan of some of the limited-time gamemodes that could be played, but all that was in the past for now. Showing the hoverboard to Sayha, he held it up for her to see. "What'cha think?" He asked, rather proud of himself. This hoverboard would be the first completed model, with all the safety regulations in check, so that it would be safe to use at all times. Granted, it was meant for just one person, so nobody else could really use it for the time being except the rider. So, if Sayha had meant for them both to ride on it at the same time, then that would either be very difficult, or impossible. Either way, though, he continued. "I won't bother to bore you with the mechanic mumbo-jumbo that goes on, in order to make it work, and instead just say that it works by using some of the elements, housed within orbs on the bottom of the board. So, why don't we go try it out?" Motioning with his head, Hiro walked out the door that lead out into the garden, holding it open for Sayha to follow through, and the closing it when she did. Walking over to the middle of the garden's walkway, where nothing was except the path, he turned around, and pressed the button on the front, to activate the orbs of wind just underneath the board. Placing it on the ground, it hovered up about a foot off the ground. Hiro raised up his right leg, and stepped down onto it, before bring his other leg up and onto it. The board shifted with his weight, as it started to fluctuate in height. After a few seconds, it normalized, and then the extra Wind sphere kicked in, adding another few inches of height off the ground. Tilting forward a bit, Hiro started to float around slowly, as though he were demonstrating the object to Sayha. He moved around the garden a bit, making sure not to knock into anything. After a few moments of this, he moved it over close to Sayha, and hopped off. The extra Wind sphere deactivated, and the board started to hover about a foot off the ground again. Offering the board to Sayha, Hiro began. "It's pretty easy, once you get onto it. You'll find that it's actually a bit more stable after you float around a little. It'll be a little shaky the first time, but with practice, you'll be fine." He was about to walk away, when he figured he might as well still be useful. "If you want to, you can use me as a stable point, when you go to get onto it." He stood near the board still, but shrugged. "Doesn't mean you have to, but I just thought it'd be good to offer, in case you start to lose your balance a little." With that being said, Hiro stood ready to help Sayha if she had any trouble. He hoped she'd enjoy it, because it really was kinda fun. Hiro explained that the hoverboard wasn’t much different than a skateboard, but that didn’t make her feel any less apprehensive when it came to skill riding it. Hiro walked past her, motioning for her to follow which she did. He went over to the closet that was by entry door and pulled out something that looked familiar but couldn’t place it right away but she did after a moment. He asked what she thought, and she nodded, “It looks cool… it looks like Irelia’s blades from the League of Legends MOBA. Not one of my personal favorite, but she was okay.” Hiro then motioned for her to follow him outside, and she did after quickly putting on her boots. After they were outside, Hiro pressed a button on the board and set it on the ground… or rather above the ground. It was hovering about a foot of the ground. Hiro put his leg on to stand up on it; once he was on it, it lowered a bit in height but then went higher for whatever reason. He moved around the garden area a bit then came towards her. He stepped off the board and then offered it to her. He said it was easy once she got on and that she could use him as a stable point to help her get on.
“You say that but have you not realized that I’m like six inches shorter that you,” Sayha said, looking back and forth between him and the board, trying to figure out if she would actually try it. After a moment, she tentatively put her hand on the board to see how it felt. It seemed stable enough… After a thought, Sayha took off her two katanas and set them down, leaning against the house.
Sayha started by putting her right leg up on the board, but she wasn’t standing. Once she got steadied, she put her other leg on it, doing her best not to fall over. Once the shakiness was gone, Sayha slowly stood up. She felt something kick in on the board which made her float higher, and she wasn’t quite prepared for it. She put her hands on her knees to keep her balance and didn’t fall face-first on the ground.
“Okay, I’m up here,” Sayha said, “What do I do?”

[attr="class","capsol"] "Trust me, you'll be fine." Hiro insisted, as he had stood ready to help her at any moment. It wasn't really a matter of her height, which he would insist that she disregard for the time being, but that would only result in per giving him a glare, since the difference in their height was actually quite striking. He let that be for now, as she started to take her katanas and place them on the ground nearby. Eventually, she started to get up on top of the board, one foot at a time. She was rightfully wary of how it would turn out, and he couldn't blame her for that. The first time he tried to get onto the board, he nearly fell over just standing on it. It took a bit of movement before he did so, but he knew exactly what to expect at this point, so he would know how to help her out the best from this point of view. However, it looked like she was about to fall over once the second Wind sphere kicked in, and Hiro instinctively went to try and catch her in case she fell. He stopped in the act of doing that, though, since it looked like she was able to keep herself up, using her hands on her knees.
Hiro let out a sigh of relief. So far, so good, for a first timer. Standing back up straight, he took a few steps back, as she had asked him what was to happen for now. Hiro responded very shortly afterward. "In order to move forward just tilt yourself ahead a little bit. Try not to tilt too much, or else you'll end up face-planting into the ground. To turn, just tilt a bit to the side. Try and keep your balance, and don't move too quick, or else you'll end up getting hurt." Hiro chuckled again. "Or worse: You'll fly into a tree or something." He thought about how that may end up being fairly funny, but he wouldn't let that thought escape his mind. The less that Sayha would end up being mad at him, the better. Instead, he would just take a few more steps back, and let Sayha ride around on it a bit, see how she liked it. If she did, he might end up making one for her, as a favor from the guild leader to a guild member. At that thought, though, he thought more about the guild again, and about how she had wanted to join his guild. He wondered what exactly her other reasons were, that she would be keeping to herself, and how that would have effected her decision.
He hadn't had a lot of luck with recruiting in the past, so he decided to just let it slide by, and let people request to join, instead of actively finding people. He also wasn't comfortable with the idea of forcing the guild down peoples' throats, which just wasn't his style. All in all, though, it was quite nice when people showed interest in the guild. He felt like he and everybody else in the guild were either doing something very right, or they had been good enough people to garner attention from the right people. Having people join up when they wanted, or if they wanted, felt like the best way to go about things for the time being. After having thought about this for a few moments, he looked up at Sayha, and smiled. He was glad that she wanted to join Apocrypha, and he really felt like the guild could offer her a lot in order to help her out. It was at that moment that he realized that he just kinda explained things, and then just left her to her own devices, while being on the hoverboard. He needed to pay better attention to what was going on with her, and help her where she needed it. He really hoped that it would be easy, like it was when he did it for the first time. However, the first time he had done anything on the hoverboard, before he got good at it, was face-plant onto the ground. Hiro immediately worried, and called out to her. "Everything going alright?" He asked.

When Hiro said that she would be fine, Sayha chuckled under her breath. It wasn’t the first time she had heard that phrase before. What came to mind instantly was when she was first learning how to wield swords during her martial arts classes. They started with wooden katanas which was good because Sayha dropped it on a regular basis… as did everyone else in the class. When the class had gotten discouraged, the teacher said that everything would be fine. It just took practice. Sayha figured that riding the board would take practice… she just prayed that she wouldn’t face plant into the ground which she had already come close to doing. Hiro explained how to make the board move, and it sounded fairly simple in concept. After Hiro warned her not to lean to far forward, she nodded. She moved her feet slightly so she would get a better balance. Then, she leaned forward slightly. The board didn’t move too quickly so she was able to measure how fast it moved in her mind. She leaned forward more, increasing her speed. She hadn’t fallen over yet so she took that as a good sign. She tried turning by leaning slightly right, and she felt herself turn. Though she almost fell off… then she overcorrected herself, she slipped off the board with her ending up sitting on the board and her legs underneath the board.
After, he called to her asking if everything was alright. She chuckled, “I’m going to have a sore butt for a while but I should be okay.” Taking a deep breath, she stood up and got back on the hoverboard easier than she had before. She moved forward again, while turning more carefully than she had before. She didn’t end up falling on her butt so she took it as that she was improving slightly. She moved forward more speeding up a bit but then decided to lean back to slow down, at least that was how she assumed she slowed down. And once again, she ended up with her butt on the hoverboard. She groaned slightly, standing up, “How in the world do skateboarders stay on their boards?”

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro couldn't help but chuckle a bit at Sayha having fallen on her behind. He hadn't seen it happen, but she seemed to be taking it all in good stride. Admitting that she'd have a sore rear for a little while, she had gotten back up, and tried again. What was important was to keep trying, even after one had fallen down. Hiro flashed back to a time when he was trying to learn the ways of the forest, and couldn't attune to it correctly. He had been told by the Elder to keep standing up, no matter how many times you fall. She was probably ashamed at him for having abandoned such a basic principal not too long ago, and giving into despair like he had. He went to wipe the thought from his mind, but Sayha having fallen over again seemed to be enough to erase it. Chuckling again, Hiro walked over toward the girl, leaning over a bit to look her in the eyes. "Very carefully." He said, in response to her rhetorical question. It was at this moment, though, that a spirit conjured itself nearby them both. Hiro turned to look, and saw the Elder's representation there. His eyes narrowed. This could only mean one thing. The spirit nodded to him, though its eyes were somber. "The forest spring." Was all the spirit said, before it disappeared. Hiro looked to Sayha without any emotion, and spoke to her. "Grab your weapons." He said. Eventually, though, anger seemed to seep through. "We need to move. Now." Looking off in the direction of the spring where they had begun their game earlier, he could sense it slightly. Hiro picked up the Hoverboard, as he assumed Sayha would be grabbing her weapons. Hiro turned back to make sure she was ready, and he started to sprint off in the direction of the spring. He quickly moved and dodged over various stumps, without lowering his speed at all. He didn't want to activate any of his skills, for fear of leaving Sayha behind, and a Spirit of Malice forming and attacking her. He wasn't wiling to risk that, even if it meant the chance of getting there faster. They would be there shortly, since they were moving quite fast. Hiro had his mind set on getting there quickly, but the thought of even losing Sayha behind him was more than he wanted to deal with. After a little while of running, Hiro could see the spring just up ahead, with a glowing purple bubble over it. He knew what that was, and once he had gotten close enough, he saw the spirit form of the Elder conjuring the bubble, and on the inside were the Spirits of Malice. He squinted. The monsters resembled Ogres of sorts, but had masks on their faces, looking like the iconic masks that one would see. He also squinted at the levels of the monsters. 45 and 50. There were two of them. He knew that Sayha likely wouldn't be able to help out all that much, without risking her life. He turned to her, and spoke. "You need to stay here." Hiro said. "It's too dangerous for you to head inside, they'll end up killing you." He looked back to the monsters, starting to take a few steps inside. "For your sake, and for mine, I need you to not intervene." He walked inside the bubble, where the Oni were waiting within. He heard the Elder's voice in his head. "You know she won't be happy.""She'll just have to deal with it. I can't risk her life, or else more will spawn." The elder's spirit only nodded in agreement, as the Oni started to look at the much shorter Monk. "Please keep the barrier up as long as you can." Hiro struck a fighting stance, and waited. * * *
As Hiro walked inside of the bubble, the small Myobu from before crept out from the brush just beside Sayha, sniffing at her. It could sense her want to help, and rubbed up against her leg. After she had fallen on her but the second time, Hiro went over to her to answer her question. He had responded with “very carefully” which did not help her at all. At that moment though, a spirit appeared near them, and they both turned to it. It said something about a spring before it disappeared. Sayha was already in motion when Hiro told her to get her weapons. As soon as they were on her belt, Hiro dashed in the right direction, and Sayha followed behind as closely as possible, untying the strings on her katanas. She slowly pulled them out, making sure she could, and pushed them back in. Hiro, thankfully, had been going slower than she remembered, probably to make sure he didn’t lose her. After a bit of running, Sayha could see a purple bubble that she assumed was some sort of barrier. That must have been where the Oni were. Inside the bubble were two very creepy monsters that looked kind of like masked ogres, but they didn’t look like any ogres she had ever seen. They had stopped not far outside the bubble when Hiro turned to her, telling her she needed to stay there since it was too dangerous. She looked at the ogres, finally finding their levels. 45 and 50. There really wasn’t anything she could do.
“Okay, I’ll stay here,” Sayha responded, not particularly happy, “Just be careful. They may be under your level but you never know what kind of friends they may have.”
She watched as the Monk walked in the barrier, and she felt bad that she couldn’t help. She thought back to when they were on the Celestial Arms quest and the <Pebble of Philosophy> had somehow activated, making her to level 90. It wasn’t activating now so she guessed it wasn’t important enough to.
Then she felt something brush up against her leg. It was the Myobu from earlier. She knelt down and petted it a few times. “Looks like neither of us are of much help in this fight,” she said softly, doubting that the little fox even knew what she was saying.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro, on the inside of the bubble, had already begun to face down the Oni. There was a trick about this spell that the Elder had put up: It enclosed the anyone and anything inside itself, and would not allow them to be released until it was brought down by the one that had conjured it. This meant that Hiro was now trapped inside the force field, with the Oni that were there. He knew that he had to confront them here and now, or else their reign of havoc would spread elsewhere in the forest. He could not, and would not allow that to happen. As if having waited its turn, the first of the two Oni had charged directly at him, waving a large club-like weapon downward. Hiro weaved to the side, dodging it, and brought his fist up and into the monster's arm. He whipped himself around, and slammed his leg into its head, and using its arm as a stable point to vault off of. He landed on the ground just to the side of the beast, which used its might to swing the weapon around in a circle. Ducking underneath it, the Monk forced himself up high, using his legs to propel himself over the enemy. Once he landed on the other side, he drove his leg backwards into it, causing it to lose its balance.
He was now caught between the two Oni, with the second one now swinging its demonic blade to the side. Hiro vaulted over this one, as well, and landed quickly, before ducking underneath the eventual returning chop. He had fought this kind of Oni before, as it was a common spirit that spawns whenever Malice is involved. These were two distinct types of Malice. The Clubbed one was known as Revenge, and the Sword-wielding one was known as Anguish. Two very common emotions to feel when one is dealing with the aftermath of what Hiro had caused, which manifested into their own beings. Rolling out of the way, since he knew that a downward slice was next on the list, he stood back up, and punched its head. There was something special about these monsters, in that once their health reaches a certain point, one will fuse into the other, and create a new Oni with the name Grievance: A combination of both Revenge and Anguish. Once that spirit had manifested, Hiro and the Elder's spirit would be able to fuse, and banish the spirits once and for all, with a decisive blow. But, he would first need to get them to that point, which meant further combat for now. Dashing over to a neutral point between the two, Hiro put up his guard once more.
It was at this moment, that he had happened to look over toward Sayha, and the Myobu that had appeared. Glad that she was okay, he smiled. However, the smile didn't last long, when he saw some movement on the Myobu's head and fur. It seemed to have sensed something. Turning to look in the direction that the creature was facing, Hiro shouted. "Sayha, run!!!"
The Myubo nearby Sayha looked up at her, and yipped playfully as her hand brushed against it. It could sense that he female was in some kind of a distraught mood, and wanted to help her as much as it could. It looked and saw that the Monk from earlier had entered a bubble of sorts, which seemed to have appeared from nowhere. It was curious as to why the bubble had formed, but it was of no real concern to the small animal. It continued to press itself up against the girl's hand for a little bit, enjoying the petting. Until, eventually, it sensed something wrong. its ears perked up, and it turned to face the direction it had come from quickly. It sniffed a few times, before beginning to growl. Its tiny body began to haunch over, as a third Oni, this one of the Lesser Oni variety, started to walk out from the forestry. This one was level 30, and its eyes were fixed on the girl. The Myobu, being only level 15, would not be able to provide much in the way of the fight, given that the monster that was coming at them had such a higher level than itself. However, it continued to face down the monster, as it waited for the girl to respond.

As Sayha petted the Myobu, she tried to keep track of Hiro in the bubble barrier. However, after she realized that it was near impossible. She sighed, trying to keep her thoughts positive. Suddenly though, the Myobu she had been petting perked its ears. After looking around, it turned to her left and began to growl. Sayha looked to see a monster in the shadows, watching her. It was another Oni… but it was level 30. Even though it was weaker than the others, she was still 13. She had no chance. The Myobu was only 15. She heard Hiro call to her to run. She didn’t have much of a choice. She couldn’t run back to where there were people were, and she couldn’t leave the fox behind. She quickly scooped up the Myobu in her left arm, hoping it wouldn’t be mad at her. She drew her right sword and stabbed it into the monster’s shadow in front of her, “<Shadow Bind>!” The monster became bound in the shadows, and she didn’t have much time. She turned away and ran as fast as she could away from the bubble and where Hiro’s house was. “I’m sorry, Myobu,” Sayha said to the beast she was carrying, “I couldn’t leave you behind.” Sayha quickly thought back to the Myobu’s company it had before. She needed to find them to get the Myobu to safety… but for the time being, Sayha re-sheathed her blade and quickly climbed up one of the larger trees. She was safe for the time being. “Hiro, just be careful,” Sayha said under her breath.

[attr="class","capsol"] Hiro was glad that Sayha had been able to start running away by this point, but that left him wide open to a blindsided attack from the Revenge Oni. His body was slammed to the side, and he hit the barrier around himself. Standing back up quickly, Hiro lunged forward and planted his fist into the monster. The added force of his speed and aggression did a real number on the monster itself, and it was knocked back from the impact. While this had happened, Hiro leaned his leg over to the side and slammed it into the Anguish Oni, causing its health to drop drastically. The two of them began to bubble and started to move closer together, in what appeared to be a rather inhuman way. Their avatars began to slide toward each other, until eventually, it had merged into a higher-leveled being. It was now the Grievance Oni, level 75. His eyes shifted over to the Elder's spirit immediately, and he shouted. "Now!" He called out. The Elder knew what was to come next, and the barrier released itself. The spirit flew into Hiro's body, performing a Shaman technique: Yorishiro Avatar.
The Monk had fused with the Elder's spirit, and he was now a pale white color. His eyes opened up, revealing nothing bit white. He began an incantation, both their voices resonating with one another. "O, ye Souls of War. Rid thine self from this land, sacred and protected by the Great Sakura Tree. As with the phases of the Moon Spirit, so, too, shall your soul fade." Hiro's right palm began to glow, as the incantation finished. The Oni charged him, and raised its arm up and into the air. Hiro reacted almost instantaneously, placeing his palm onto the enemy's torso. It stopped, and suddenly, a large burst of white energy that made no sound blasted into it, and out the back. The enemy disappeared into white energy, having been fully enveloped by it. The spirit had been calmed... The Elder spirit and Hiro had separated, and his mind immediately flicked to Sayha. He broke into a sprint in the direction she was moving.
The Myobu had been scooped up by the Assassin that it had been petted by, but continued to growl, as the monster kept chasing them. As the Assassin said something under her breath, the Myobu turned to face her. It stared at her for a few moments, before a voice would ring out in the Assassin's mind. "You seek to understand the forest, do you not?" The feminine voice said. It sounded almost child-like. "If you accept me into your heart, I can help you learn." It looked into her eyes, and the voice continued. "You wish to learn the secrets of the forest, using a skill that the forest knows. Let me help you, and I shall unlock the power of the forest within you." It waited for her response.

Even though Sayha was in the tree, she could see the branches of other trees shaking. She would have to get moving again and fast. That was when she heard the voice enter her head. It sounded like a little girl, soft and innocent. However, the words were definitely not words a child would say. At first she thought it was her imagination. There was no one around. However, then she looked at the Myobu in her arms. It was looking directly into her eyes. It was the Myobu speaking. The roar of the Oni briefly grabbed her attention, but then she focused back on what the Myobu had said. A skill that the forest knew… was she talking about <Swift Sakura Slash>?
“I do seek to understand the forest,” Sayha said to the Myobu, “I will accept you into my heart. Just tell me what to do next.” She had no idea if the Myobu understood what she said so she gave the Myobu a quick nod to say yes.
