[attr="class","capsol"] Cel stretched a bit, as the sunlight hit her skin. Her eyes were shut closed, as the warm sea air began to fill her nose. She relaxed her body, and let out a happy sigh, letting her eyes shoot back open. She covered her forehead and looked up a bit, up into the beautiful sea of clouds up above herself. Her lance was at attention to her side, ready to go without another moment's notice. She had traveled here to begin searching for the fragments of a tablet that she had been told about beforehand, thanks to some Sages that she had run into back in the city. She paid a bit of attention to them beforehand, but she didn't really remember everything off hand, so she had asked for them to re-inform her of everything that she needed to know about. However, the fox-tail wasn't here on her own, thankfully, otherwise some of the monsters here would destroy her.
The Sages of the Messier Order had given various Adventurers a task that would allow them to use their Divining Rod to find pieces of a tablet that had been eroded, thanks to the elements from both the sea and the sands, as well as wind, or something like that. All in all, this piece of rock was broken into pieces, and the Adventurers were asked to come and try to fix it. Well, to find the pieces, and then have the tablet fixed, with the help of an Artisan to put the pieces all back together. She didn't personally know an Artisan, although she had a feeling that someone else might, or she would just have to go around and look for one. That may end up being the best option, since the Assassin wasn't entirely sure who or what to look for in an Artisan. However, perhaps her new traveling buddy, Artemisia, would know somebody? It was worth asking about, but maybe in a bit.
Speaking of the other fox-tail, Cel looked over and smiled at the woman. She twirled the lance in her hand around a few times, eventually resting it upon her shoulder. "Quite a lovely day today, here, isn't it?" She said, smiling to the Sorceress. Cel loved beaches and the like, though she didn't know the opinion of her new companion. It would be nice if they could get along and have a grand old time while looking around for stones in the sand. "So, would you like to be the one holding the Divining Rod, or would you rather that I do it, instead?" She asked. She wasn't entirely sure how to go about all of this, though she had an idea that all they had to do was do some searching around for a little while, and they'd come across something. But, getting the opinion of her new acquaintance would be the first step, before anything else. Until the blonde-haired fox-tail responded, Cel would wait patiently, her lance still resting against her shoulder.

After receiving the Divining Rod from the Messier Sage, the two fox tails had been sent in the direction of the Thames Coastline. Even if this search ended up being a wild goose chase, getting an excuse to head to the best thing they had for a beach was always a plus. She hadn't been out this way for a while and the last time she remembered being in the area, she had been attacked by a giant sea crab while trying to enjoy a relaxing day in the sun. Hopefully today's adventure would be a little less... well, adventurous and they could easily find the pieces of this tablet that were supposedly still buried somewhere in the sands and waters here. As the pair stepped out into the sun and onto the warm, tan sand of the coastline, Artemisia stopped and stretched her arms out wide, soaking in the glorious rays and the salty sea air. It burned her nose just a tiny bit but the unique and distinct smell of sea water filled her body with a renewed energy and desire to solve this mystery. The blonde smiled widely, looking as if she had found pure peace and joy in this moment. Soon, she felt as if eyes were on her and remembered she wasn't alone. Clearing her throat and blushing lightly, the Sorceress opened her green eyes to see her new friend, Cel, was looking at her and smiling. The ice blue haired girl commented on the weather and Artemisia couldn't help but agree, nodding along. “ It is indeed a lovely day, I wish we had some time to relax and have a picnic or something,” She sighed longingly, the blush from her cheeks fading but the warmth remaining, heated by the sunshine. Ready to get down to business, Cel asked if she would like to be the one holding the rod or not. Artemisia looked over the Assassin, who had a lance resting against her shoulder and thought for a moment. “ Well, since you've already got your weapon out and ready and I don't, I'll take Divining Rod duty and you watch for any baddies,” She smiled and flipped open her inventory. “ Sound good to you?” She didn't see any reason why her new friend would disagree so she went ahead and selected the necessary item. While she was in there, she also popped her shoes off, leaving her feet bare in the toasted sand. It lowered her overall defense ever so slightly to be missing a piece of her gear but she figured it was worth it to feel the beach between her toes. Special magic detecting rod in hand, Artemisia started down the coastline, holding the device out in front of her. It blinked every so often but didn't seem to be all that excited about any particular part of the ground. She headed straight towards the water line, where small waves were crashing up on the sand, washing it away and simply replacing it with the next wave, over and over. Her dipped the tip of her toes into the cool water, letting it splash over her bare feet. “ Maybe we'll find something down here?” She stepped into the water a little more, up to her ankles and continued walking, sweeping the rod back and forth. She didn't know if this was any better a place to search than the rest of the coastline but it sure was nice to have the waves teasing her legs while she looked. -- Notes: I'm here~ let's get this done ^^ Words: 586 Tags: Celsius

[attr="class","capsol"] It seemed that Cel's new friend was willing to take the Divining Rod of her own volition, to which Cel nodded and agreed. "If that is your decision, deary." She said, adjusting the lance a little bit on her side. She had no reason to deny the girl from doing what it was that she had planned to do, so she would just follow up for the time being. Twirling the lance around once, she started to follow the other fox-tail along the way. The Assassin's tail flicked around a little bit, causing her to look behind herself at the monstrous extension of her body. The big, fluffy tail behind her seemed to flow a little as she walked, but it still seemed like it had a mind of its own from time to time. She wasn't quite used to it yet, but she would be in time.
As she followed Artemisia along the way, she couldn't help but notice the tail that she had on her, and how it seemed to be very compliant and stable. Celsius had no idea how to even have something like that, given that her tail seemed to have a mind of its own, and liked to move around on its own agenda. That being the case, though, she assumed that it had something to do with the fact that the Sorceress was a much higher level than she was, herself. Maybe with levels comes understanding and care for one's own body? She had no idea. All she did know, though, was the fact that she couldn't control her own. Cel looked back at her own tail, and then over to Artemisia's once again, wondering if there was all that much of a difference between the two. Both were quite bushy, fluffy, and...
Her mind snapped back to reality when the other fox-tail said something. Cel hadn't noticed that they were standing in water, until it was a little too late. She didn't mind the sand or water on her shoes, since they could be just as easily cleaned off without that much trouble. Artemisia had walked further into the water, up to her ankles in it, holding the Divining Rod and swaying it back and forth. The Assassin wasn't sure if that was the best way to find what it was they were looking for, but she had no idea how exactly to look for it either. She did have to remind herself to keep the lance above water, since water and wood didn't mix all that well. She vaulted it up and onto her shoulder, giving herself some decent room between her and the Sorceress, as she continued to follow. "Perhaps there is something over this way, and we're just not finding it." She mentioned. "Are you absolutely sure we have to swing the rod around like some sort of metal detector? Seems right silly, if you ask me." She giggled just a little bit, but continued following, nonetheless.

The Divining Rod was remaining pretty stubbornly unresponsive as she swished it back and forth, hoping to randomly (or luckily) stumble upon what they were looking for. The cool water was continuing to splash around her feet and it was only making her want to dive into the water even more. The warm sun was beating down on the top of her head, creating quite the contrast in temperature between her upper and lower halves. The other fox tail, Cel, seemed more or less content to follow her around as she blindly searched. After a few minutes, though, she voiced the same curiosity that Artemisia herself was starting to have – just how did this thing work. The Assassin questioned if she was using it right, ending her thought with a giggle at how ridiculous the Sorceress looked. The blonde smiled and shrugged, looking clueless. “ I really don't know, it kind of reminded me of one so I just went with it,” She matched Cel's laugh with one of her own. “ Oh, look over there,” Artemisia suddenly cut off her laugh and pointed towards a small gathering of rocks, just a few feet outside of the water. The rocks had a waterline on them with a few bits of aquatic plant life stuck to them, as if they were recently under water. “ Looks like these are usually submerged during high tide,” She commented, starting to head in that direction. “ It's just as likely a spot as any, I would think?” Her voice was slightly unsure but she didn't have any better ideas. Her small feet sank into the soft sand, leaving little footprints behind coming from the water towards the rocks. They had walked far enough in the surf that the imprints of them entering the water weren't visible from their current location, making it look almost as if she had simply arrived from the water itself, like some sort of sea creature. Artemisia smiled at the thought of being a mermaid having just gained her legs. It was always something she had been interested in and she sort of wished she had been sucked into a game based on the under water city of Atlantis rather than her own country. Certainly, if she had had her choice that would have been her pick. But, she never really had found a game which matched what she wanted, anyways. Her mind was brought back to reality when the rod she was holding began to glow brighter as they approached the rocks. “ No way, really?” Her green eyes went a little wide. Now having arrived at the location, it was clear the Divining Rod was definitely having a reaction to the area. Artemisia carefully moved the glowing stick around until she found the spot that it reacted to most strongly. “ I guess we've got to dig for it?” The blonde knelt down on the sand next to the spot she had found and set the rod aside. It continued to glow in reaction to what could only be what they were looking for. Her fingers pushed into the loose sand, scooping two big handfuls up. She dumped it out to the side. “ This is kind of exciting but I hope it isn't too deep down,” She said, laughing quietly as she shifted a bit more sand aside. She figured Cel would join her after a moment so she wasn't too worried about doing all the work herself. After a moment, the tip of her finger hit something solid. Eyes going wide, Artemisia quickly cleared the spot and uncovered what she had felt. Her bubble was quickly popped when she realized it was only a large seashell that had been buried just under the sand. She yanked it out and brushed the remaining sand off of it, holding it up to the light. Examining it, she realized it was actually quite the pretty shell. “ Wow, look at that...” She twisted it between her fingers. It was a very unusual color for a shell, almost a translucent blue and if it caught the light just perfectly, it cast a glowing blue tint onto whatever was beneath it. “ It reminds me of you, Cel, don't you think?” She held it out to the Assassin. “ You should keep it, as a memento of our visit to the coast,” She giggled, offering the shell to the other girl. They would need to keep digging to find what they were actually looking for but there was nothing wrong with taking a moment to enjoy natures beauty. --- Notes: Leaving it to you to dig it out in your post so you have something to post about haha. [attr="class","capsol"] It hadn't been all that much longer until the Divining Rod seemed to pick something up. After having laughed a little bit from Artemisia's previous comment, she found herself entering a state of wonder and curiosity. As the blonde haired fox-tail moved closer to the stones that seemed to have been weathered for quite some time, Cel followed suit, watching as the Divining Rod changed in attitude as well. She wondered how exactly the item had worked, but she knew that the Sages would likely not divulge such information quite so readily. For the time being, though, she would begin watch the Sorceress begin to dig away at the ground, wondering how exactly her best idea was to go at it by hand. Cel, on the other hand, moved a little ways away, and started to dig at the loose sand with her lance.
A few moments later, Artemisia had found a sea shell, which she held up and looked at in awe. Cel couldn't help but feel just he slightest bit flattered when she said that it reminder her of the Assassin, and graciously took the shell. "Perhaps this would look lovely on a bracelet, or as a necklace." She held the shell up to the air a bit, as the turquoise color seemed to blend in with the sky. Had it not been for her hand holding it there, she would likely have lost it. Cel turned her attention back to her friend there, and smiled. "I'll cherish it. Thank you." She curtsied slightly, before she got back to digging. She very soon afterwards found herself becoming slightly more irritated with having needed to dig for so long, so she decided that she would make matters either easier or harder.
"Pardon me, dear, but could you perhaps step a few feet back?" She asked, as politely as she could. Whenever Artemisia either did or didn't respond, Cel would take the lance into her hand, and activate the move [High Jump], as her subclass allowed. While in the air, she also activated [Piercing Pillar] to twirl the lance around a few times, before she came crashing down and onto the sand again. As she moved to unearth the lance, a cloud of sand spewed up, and probably with it, the piece of the tablet that they needed. She twirled the lance a few times, and held it up against her shoulder. She leaned against it, proudly, and looked to Artemisia. "That should make things easier, shouldn't it?" She asked. "If you would be so kind, could you, perhaps, look around for the piece with the Divining Rod? I apologize for making a mess." She smiled widely to the Sorceress, waiting for her reply.

Celsius gratefully accepted the sea shell she had offered her, commenting that it might make a nice piece of jewelry. Artemisia was pleased that her gift had been well received. It was nice to have a female friend in this world she could talk to. Although she did know a few other girls, she hadn't spent much time alone with them. Most of the girls she had come across in her time here were other members of her guild, Apocrypha, which she jokingly referred to as a harem for her guild leader, Hiro. Looking at Cel and her refined, attractive features, she could easily see the Assassin fitting right in as the newest member of it. She couldn't see any reason why the Monk would have objections. At the same time, she sort of wanted to keep her away from the Palace... one more girl giving her competition might just be one too many. Well, if it came up she would be open about her alliances but she somehow didn't see there being any need to mention her guild at all. The pair continued to dig for a few minutes but didn't seem to be making much progress. With the sand as loose and fine as it was, half of everything the Sorceress scooped up would slip back into the hole, doubling the work she needed to do. Artemisia was beginning to wish she had contacted a blacksmith or something earlier to craft her a shovel. She had known she was going to be digging up something, or at least it seemed likely, so the fact that she hadn't thought about it until now was just a little bit frustrating. Cel, too, seemed to have had enough of the never ending digging and had asked her to step back for a moment. Slightly puzzled, the blonde fox tail obliged and stood, brushing a bit of sand off her knees, and stepped back a few feet. Her green orbs watched curiously. She saw the girl swing her lance around and then leap into the air. The weapon spun around a few more times, which was probably another skill she knew, before Cel came crashing back down to the ground, piercing the earth. The sand shifted, some of it moving off in a wave and sort of splashing up. After landing, she yanked the lance out, which brought with it a plume of sand. Artemisia, fortunately, had been outside the range of the blowing sand, which had spared her a face full of the stuff. After a moment, things settled back down and she could see Cel standing there, looking a bit proud, with her lance resting against her shoulder. She asked her to check around and see if, by chance, she had managed to knock loose what they were looking for. Hopefully she had, as that would make this much easier. Picking up the Rod, which was still resting on the ground nearby, the Sorceress did just that. She swept it over the piles of sand, back and forth until the reaction was stronger in one spot than the rest. It was a few feet from where they had originally been digging. Her blonde fox ears perked up excitedly. With her right foot, she kicked at the sand, brushing it away from the spot she had located. After only a moment, the edge of something rock-like was visible. " Good job, Cel, I think this is it. I can't believe that worked," She laughed as she leaned over, hooking her fingers under the tablet and lifting it up out of the loose sand. The little grains of sand rolled off of it, slowly exposing it to the light and their eyes for the first time in who knows how long. Lifting it up for closer inspection, Artemisia frowned. " Well, I definitely think this is it," She said, her voice a bit unsure. " But, look," She showed the stone to her quest partner. " You can't read it at all... That's probably not what that Sage guy was hoping for." She hmm'ed for a moment as she let this thought roll around in her mind. It only took a second for her to remember and she almost laughed at the irony. Here she had been just thinking she wouldn't have any need to mention her guild and the very person that came to mind to help them out right now was a member of it. "I know someone, she's in my guild and she's an Artisan. I bet she could help us out, seems like something she'd be good at, at least." The fox tail said while passing the tablet to Cel to hold onto and opening up her menu. She immediately put the Divining Rod away, as it's incessant excitement at having found the stone was beginning to get a little annoying. Once that was handled, she pulled up her friends list and the contact she was looking for - the Samurai named Saeko. --- Notes: Aaaand I think that wraps up this one unless you have more to say.
