Without that chance meeting at the end of Jane's 'see how much you can get away with when talking to a person of the land' game, there was no way the little guardian would be able to go ahead with the rest of this little event. Actually being able to piss off and NPC to the point where they weren't willing to give any more information (granted she hadn't tried to push it) made for an interesting change to game play. At least she'd met Hirosame who seemed willing to point her in the right direction, as well as lend her the magical stick that would show her the way. Weird thing to think about this sort of a stick leading the way to something magical and special, but in the past they had used such things to find water, right? That just made Cedric think that the stick was some sort of magical water finding device. Not as in magically finding water, it'd be going off like crazy while Jane wandered one of the sandier 'beaches' of the Thames Coastline. No, he was more thinking of water that in and of itself was magical, though he also got the feeling that Jane's travelling companion was a little more knowledgeable about what they were looking for than he was letting on. Or not letting on, he wasn't exactly very clear about things beyond offering help. Waving the 'wand' around as she walked along Jane was getting a little bored of it all. At the very least this little event had her going outside of her normal haunts when it came to leaving the city walls, but walking along a water while waving a stick around got boring fast. "Are you sure it's just 'out here somewhere'? That's a rather vague description for such a large area. I mean really, you'd think the game was a better thought out than that. I mean, we could be here for weeks if we get bad luck about a spawn point for this thing, and what for? Some vague promise of 'something' that comes with an event? I don't even remember there being a reward announced!"

[attr="class","capsol"] And so Hiro found himself on the beaches once again, looking for the same tablet pieces that he had been looking for a while back, when he had first encountered Gauze. Hiro was supposed to look for the tablet piece once again, though he had already found it quite some time ago. It seemed silly to have to do this again, but this was for Jane's benefit, not his own. It seemed that Jane was probably getting more frustrated with the whole thing than Hiro did, but all Hiro did was beat up a few guys who had tried to take the Divining Rod from him, and then just happened to find it like that. This did, however, make him wonder if there was actually another item at a certain place. Whether it was there or not as well was the main question, and it would serve to make things worse, should he be correct.
Eventually, Jane had brought up a question, or rather a series of questions. They had been walking around for a little while now, so it was only fair to think that they would have found something by now. However, the Divining Rod showed no signs of change, so he wasn't sure at all himself. He did find himself chuckling a bit at the sentiment, which he agreed about. "Well, I know for a fact that it won't take too long to find this thing, since I found mine a while back somewhere around here." Hiro started. "It's probably the best place to start, to be honest, and if others had found their artifacts here, which I know that they have, then it's safe to say that this is the best place to look." While he thought this, he still thought that they might have found it by now.
Hiro began to wonder more about what the Sages were up to, since he felt that they were still hiding a few answers from them. He felt like they knew far too much, and were holding way too much of it to themselves. The main purpose for Hiro coming along and trying to help someone else along with their own version of the quest, as selfish as it is, was to figure something out. He had no idea whether the Sages were actually on their side or not, or if they were just abusing the power to respawn that the Adventurers had. Something about all of this was fishy, and the Monk intended to get right down to the bottom of it. However, for the time being, he needed to focus on helping Jane through this questline. It wouldn't do to get so far, only to be stopped by something irrelevant.

There wasn't much more to do than shuffle around looking, trying not to get depressed at the lack of anything that seemed to be turning up as Jane and Hirosame searched around. If he said it would be there somewhere, who was she to doubt? It really wasn't anything worth worrying about. Either she'd waste her time out here, and find nothing, or she'd waste her time out here, find something somewhere, and be able to continue on and go do things elsewhere.
"So if we don't find it here, you wouldn't happen to know any other places we could look for it? It almost sounds like this place could be picked clean by now, and the lack of response from the stick isn't much encouragement. Granted, I'm incredibly impatient and hate walking around doing nothing when I could be sitting around doing nothing, and thinking about cool things instead."
Jane emphasised her speech with the occasional poking of the magical stick Hiro's way, as well as shoving it into the sand to move it around a little as well. Maybe it just needed better proximity or something, instead of her waving it around like an idiot. Or maybe it'd used its mojo to find its original findings? It was hard to tell. And Jane wasn't exactly too good at telling things about magic despite her subclass.
"I'm starting to wish I got a stick too, that way we could both wave our sticks around to try and find whatever it is we're out here to get. It might even be faster than doing it all on my own like this!"

[attr="class","capsol"] It had been only a little while since Hiro and the Guardian had shown up to this place, and even then, not a whole lot to be made note of. The sand in the nearby area seemed to have been picked clean, as Jane had mentioned, though it made him wonder just how many different people had been here for the Sages. At this point in time, though, he still didn't necessarily trust them, nor did he really want to. They had proven just about nothing to the Monk, aside from the fact that they seemed to like making use of everybody and anybody who even remotely decided to help. As much as Hiro wanted to get to the bottom of whether they had actually wanted to help others, or only themselves, or if their goal was something much bigger than themselves. Only time would tell, and now wasn't the time to think on it.
His attention shifted back to the Guardian nearby, as they had continued to speak a little longer. He chuckled a little bit as the shorter person had playfully jabbed the Divining Rod over his way every so often as she spoke, but turned his attention ahead of himself. The white sandy shores had been assaulted by the waves just up ahead, causing him to smile just a touch. It certainly was a nice enough day out, one ripe for treasure hunting. Hiro had half a mind to start construction on a ship or something, make his own way out into the ocean for a while. But, such things would likely not happen for a while, given that there were other, more pressing matters, at hand. Such as looking around for broken artifact from a long time past now. The more Hiro thought about the circumstance, the more he thought poorly on it.
Either way, though, Jane had mentioned having another Divining Rod to look around with, saying that they could swing them back and forth. Turning to face the girl a bit more, the Monk responded. "Like a couple of metal detectors, right?" He joked. However, he very quickly remembered that, at the end of his own attempt through this questline, he had received one of his own. "Oh, duh." He said, silently to himself. Opening up his inventory, he pulled out another Divining Rod. "Like this, right?" He spoke, carelessly waving the stick before himself in an arcing motion. Of course, this was all in the hopes of getting a laugh, so he wasn't too focused on finding anything. After a few moments of playing around, he decided to get somewhat serious. "I'm gonna space out a little here. Might as well cover more ground, right?" That being said, Hiro moved over a few extra feet away from the Guardian, and began to sweep the item along closer to the ground. Hopefully they could find this rock and be done with it, soon.

"Now that's more like it!" Jane exclaimed excitedly. "With one each we're going to be well and truly able to find it, wherever it is." In true Jane fashion, the Guardian had forgotten what exactly they were looking for. Some sort of magic thing, important to some sort of story thing. She could remember quite clearly the person who gave her this mission, but that was probably because being a jerk for once stood out in Cedric's mind. "You're right about spreading out, but you missed a great search for clues joke there. You should do better."Shuffling off a bit from where Hirosame set up, Jane started swinging her stick around a bit more enthusiastically. Where the enthusiasm came from was anyone's guess, except for Jane's. she knew she was excited to be able to cover more ground and (hopefully) get the whole thing done sooner rather than later. Instead, nothing happened for what felt like hours. It probably wasn't though. While waving the stick around unenthusiastically after such a 'long' time, it sort of suddenly jerked out of her hand and just landed, end down, standing in the sand. Jane immediately pulled at it, thinking her wrists were just getting tire and giving up on her, but there was enough of a pullback by the stick to perk her interests and stare for a moment. "Um, I think I found something?" she called out, nudging at the stick with her toe. "How strong is this thing attracted anyway? Could it be nothing?"Not giving Hirosame much of a chance to come look, Jane got down on her hands and knees in the sand and started digging downwards, not really making much of an impact despite her intent at unearthing whatever it was that was down there. She didn't have to get too deep before her gauntlets hit something solid and she started brushing sand aside a bit as she went. "How big is this thing supposed to be anyway? I hope we don't have to lug a Stonehenge sized boulder back to the city or something!"Jane kept digging, waiting for a little help before she got very far in. Whatever it was it wasn't massive, but it certainly wasn't small. A fair slab of stone of some sort was slowly being outlined in the sand and it wasn't take all that much effort to finally pull it out once they got most of the weight off it. "Please tell me this is what we're looking for?" Jane pleaded to the Monk once they were done. "I think I'm going to die of boredom if we have to keep looking!"W: 442

[attr="class","capsol"] What normally would have been a congratulatory post that included all sorts of celebration for having found the item that they needed to look for, while also noting the importance of having found said item to the Monk himself, in that he was only here to figure out parts of what the problem with the Sages were so that he could relay much of any information to Sayha when he was done, it seemed that the author for these posts took it upon himself to actually change the way that he is writing, in order to better emulate his current mentality on posts in such a way that would possibly be beneficial to both the characters and users in this thread which would denote that the entirety of the thread would be completed henceforth, with the completion of this post, effective as soon as the author of this post stops making one giant run-on sentence and actually ends the sentence, which doesn't seem very likely at this point in time, as this seems to be the most productive way for the author to have made a post in this time in the first place, despite other methods being much better and much more conducive to reading.
This was, indeed, the last piece of the puzzle that they had started to find, though this marked the end of the run-on sentences for the author, since that previous part was all one consecutive thought. This, though, is how the thread shall end. By formulating and understanding that the thread itself is done from this point on is a definite note that needs to be made, as the objective has been fulfilled as quickly and as timely as possible. It is also worth mentioning that the writer has been asked to play some more LoL with his older sister, Ivory, upon the completion of her shower, and this post's logic has been compromised due to the unknown amount of time before his older sister is done with her shower. As such, logic has been thrown directly out the window for the time being, and any semblance of thought or provoking methods by which a thread could continue have ceased entirely. That being said, since this is the last post of the thread anyways, it doesn't hinder the thread much at all. The point is that the item was found and the duo could return to the sages, returning the found object, and then go along on their merry way. Simple and clean, just like that.
This would be the last little bit for Hiro for CA things, as he has had to do CA 1 over many times by this point, and the concept has become stale. Now, given that the next portion of CA has been teased for February, that should bring about the author's wish to write some more, though that is all dependent on the author's schedule. Time permitting, it could be done with the Monk's girlfriend, Sayha, or if there isn't enough time, it would have to be done solo, which would likely mark the soloing portion of the personal plot that the author has created for their character. But, that is neither here nor there. They found the thing. Time to bring it back to the sages, give it to Saeko where she can make the next part, and Jane can carry along on her way to completing the site's first story line. With that being said, all that remains now is to end up this paragraph somehow while trying to make at least a certain amount of lines in the BBCode function, so as to make sure that a decent amount of words are credited. While this post isn't entirely serious, with only a very small segment pertaining to anything serious at all, it can still be claimed as it is the end of a thread. Not so much a loophole, more a different method of using one's time. Anyways, this is done, so yeah. Good luck with the rest of your CA things.
