It had taken quite a bit of research, but Kain had finally managed to decode the the runic tablet he had found. Strangely enough, it spoke of a strange dungeon out in the middle of Avon, off in an inlet of the river near a strange pool with some rather enchanting scenery. He had decided to scout it out a bit before posting his findings. The area was a rather reflective pool of clear water, the air almost tropical. Ferns, moss covered rocks and a warm mist throughout the air seemed comforting. surrounding the pool were also the decayed ruins of what he could only make out as what was a former civilization. Collapsed pillars now covered in ivy, brilliant hieroglyphics, and some strange idols and imagery. Following them to the side of the cliff, he found a strange set of carvings almost outlining a door. The outlining hieroglyphics were missing a chunk out of one side however, and in a spurt of curiosity, he pulled out the tablet. As he neared it to the hole, the tablet and the outlining began to glow a strange, hypnotic dance of colors. He pulled it back, and pocketed the tablet once more, marking the entrance on the map he had been making in his journal to lead to the area, and began the trek back to Avon. He didn't want to march in blind, and should at least try and get a few more teammates before diving head-first into it.
Back at the local tavern, a small drink of tea on the table, he began palming through his interface. Perhaps there would be some people who would be willing to accompany him. He remembered Sayha the assassin from his recent run-through clearing out the trains. He didn't know if she was busy, but she would definitely be a handy partner to clear the dungeon. She seemed to know plenty of people anyhow, so she could possibly know a few others or such to bring with her. Selecting her name and taking a sip of his tea, Kain decided to send her a message:
"Hey Sayha, I recently found a new dungeon in Avon. Hasn't been really disturbed, and i think that either its from the new expansion or something like that. Anyway, I'd like some help in clearing it and mapping it out. If you could swing by the Avon tavern and meet me to discuss it that'd be great. Also, see if you can nab a friend or two. The more the merrier!"
Sending out the message, he leaned back in his seat. He didn't know how far out she was, or even if she'd be able to make it, but it would be better than nothing. He began scrolling back over his notes of the tablet, making sure he knew everything he could to explain to her if she decided to show up. Best to be clear on what to expect, especially when it was something brand new. Taking a small sip, he leaned back and began once again pouring over his notes as he waited.

Training. Then studying. Then more training. Then more studying. Then even more training. Then relaxing. That was Sayha’s plan for the day, at least for the time being. She was in her home, Kurokage, out in Moon Dance Forest located to the west of Londinium in the Sarum Frontier. Her home was a pretty spacious home considering that only she lived there, but that was how she wanted it. After all, it was large enough to have a gym which she used primarily as a dojo though there was also an indoor swimming pool as well as a weight training area in the gym area. She didn’t use the pool very much, but she took advantage of the weight training in between her scythe wielding practice and her herbal studies. Sayha felt that she had the basics of her Pharmacist subclass down pretty well, and was in the process of doing some heavy studying on poisonous plants for her future research attempts. Between her personal library and the Londinium Library, Sayha had quite a bit of tomes and books to go through, and the reading was rather dense… more dense than she thought it would have been.
However at that point in time, Sayha was focusing on one thing: scythe twirling. She was not unfamiliar with polearms and already knew how to wield one quite well, and she already could wield her scythe quite well. Despite that, she had every intention on learning how to wield it even better. Her biggest problem was fighting in tight spaces, which was to be understood since her dual-headed scythe was pretty massive.
Just as Sayha completed her latest twirling practice, her interface blipped, signaling her she had a message.
“Who could that be from?” Sayha said, looking at her interface curiously. She twirled the scythe in her hands before she decided to hold onto it with her left hand. With her right, she opened her interface and clicked the blinking message button. It was from Noctis.
Sayha had run into Noctis a few times now, and both times had been in dungeons. Her first time meeting the heretic was when she was helping clear the tunnels for the train system. The second time was when she led a party through the school dungeon… not that she really led much as everyone had kind of done their own thing. It was kind of an out of the blue message which made Sayha curious.
Sayha listened to the message, thinking about the idea. A new dungeon up in Avon? It sounded… cold. The first and last time Sayha had been in Avon it had been rather cold… and she did not particularly like the cold. However the idea of a new dungeon was rather intriguing. She couldn’t pass it up. She thought about who to invite, and only three names came into mind. Though, she knew two of the people she had thought of had been rather busy as of late. Which left one person.
Sayha went to her friend’s list and clicked on Dorian’s name to send him a message. “Hey Dorian, it’s Sayha,” she started, “A mutual acquaintance of ours, Noctis, found out about a new dungeon up in Avon Valley. If you’re interested in joining, I’m supposed to meet him at the Avon Tavern in town. If you know anyone else who’s up for dungeoning, message them to see if they’re available.”
Once that message was sent, she went back to the previous message from Noctis, sending him a reply. “Hey Noctis, this is Sayha returning your message. I’m headed up to Avon now, but I may be a bit since I’m coming from Sarum area. I invited the shaman Dorian so we should be seeing you soon.”
Sayha closed her interface after putting her scythe into her inventory. If she left quickly enough, she would be able to catch one of the trains in Sarum headed out back to Londinium. From there, she would be able to catch a train up to Avon. Though if she did miss the train up to Avon, she would be able to get up there quickly enough thanks to the mount whistle she had that rarely got used.

Hesitant fingers wrapped around a sturdy metallic pole, Dorian stared up at the daunting image of the salmon ladder that had been set up before him. He had requested the item himself, much to his own irritated, pained chagrin, to work on toning himself into a more respectable and stronger form. It wouldn't do to be out in the world without being able to protect oneself, and protecting oneself required one being able to do the heavy-lifting. And so, as he raised his hands up, hooking the bar into the first slot available to him, the Shaman readied himself for his first work out in the guild building's gym. You realise you are going to hate yourself immensely after this, right? Ignoring the Shikigami's incessant warnings, Dorian began, using his upper body strength to throw himself up off the ground, taking the bar with him and swiftly hooking it into the next slot up.
"Damn... It's harder than it looks..." Despite the fact that his body in this new reality was far from out of shape, it was clear that it hadn't been trained in it's upper strength as much as he would like; but, of course, that's why he was here. With a careful grunt, he hoisted himself up again, pulling his body through the air to lift the bar up to the third ridge, the clang of metal on metal no doubt echoing through the guild house. He hoped the others were out, or at least were tolerating his activities. "Note to self, try to do this quietly next time."
With another grunt of pain, he leapt up another rung, the bar shaking a bit from his hands on it, but easily clanking down into the fourth ridge up. Hanging from this new vantage point, it was then that he heard the familiar 'ding' sound from his interface, indicating he had received a message. He rarely got messages these days, what with most of his comrades being in the same house as him, so Dorian became a little excited at his new mail. Tugging the bar up so that it would unhinge from the ridge, he let himself fall gracefully back down to the floor, landing on his feet with a thud. Putting the bar down beside the equipment, he turned away from it, dabbing at himself with a towel while he opened his interface and inspected his message; from Sayha!
According to her message, she was meeting with a mutual acquaintance, a Heretic by the name of Noctis; he remembered the man from way back when he was only level 1, the train dungeon thread a distant memory, despite the fact it had occurred perhaps only two months prior. Still, he hadn't seen Noctis since then, so he was interested to see how the Heretic had come along. The rest of the message explained that the man in question had found a new dungeon up in Avon Valley, most likely a new addition with the expansion; his interest piqued, he pulled up his own message, replying back to the elven Assassin. "Hey there Sayha, just got your message; I must say, my curiosity is positively ringing with anticipation. I may be a while - it's a long journey from Londinium to Avon - but I'll meet you and Noctis at the tavern." With that, he closed his interface, and turned to exit the gym. Heading out the guild house, he gave a farewell wave to everyone he walked past, before stepping out into the light of day and beginning his journey to Avon.

Upon reaching the Avon Tavern, you would find it to be a large, log cabin-cabin like structure amidst the snow. Inside, the tavern would be bustling with life, people clanking full mugs of ale, roaring fireplaces, songs and shanties of the local landers. A female waitress would meet you at the door, asking if you would like anything from their menu. If you tell her you were here to meet a heretic or begin describing Corvo, she will direct you to a back room with a smile on her face. Back here , the revelry of the tavern would be much more muffled, and you can actually once again hear yourself think. Upon opening the room you would see a large table with chairs, and in the corner a few more plush seats and couches next to a roaring fire. Papers would be strewn in stacks about the room, with Kain in the center near the fireplace, reading glasses on and a few papers in his hand. the couches and seats around the fireplace are actually rather clear of the mess. There would be a few cups on the coffee table and a steaming kettle of tea in the middle, with all of the fixings about it. Upon entering the room He will greet you with a smile and motion to the seat before sending off the waitress for a few small appetizers to fill your stomachs as the conversation would begin. He would ask if you had anything in particular you would want as well before dismissing her to answer any questions you may have before he explained what was going on.

After a mount ride from Kurokage to the train station, Sayha was able to catch the next train to Avon which was not very crowded at all… and Sayha was very grateful for that. She didn’t do well with a lot of people in such confined spaces. With the train fairly empty, she was able to find a seat by the window and relax slightly. Though her mind instantly went back to the last time she had been in Avon. Avon was not a pleasant place in her mind, especially with it being cold and knowing that it would be even colder than last time since it was almost winter now. However the cold wasn’t what bothered her. She had gone up to Avon with Hiro, and the two of them had explored a haunted castle during the Halloween event. While there, they had met some unsavory adventurers who they were at ends with even then… though there wasn’t much else to do because the leader was a nut job putting it nicely. However, Sayha didn’t allow herself to dwell on those thoughts for long. For most of the train ride, she was thinking about the new dungeon and what would be in the dungeon.
Then her interface lit up, reminding her she had an unheard message. She recalled dismissing the message when she had been riding her mount and opened the message. It had been a reply from Dorian, saying that he would meet her and Noctis in Avon. Sayha smiled slightly before waving off her interface. She was glad Dorian was able to join them… though their party composition worried Sayha. If it would only be the three of them, then Sayha would have to act as an impromptu tank… which was possible to a certain extent. Though that would mean Dorian would be the healer. He was capable of doing so, but he was more support based than healing based. Hopefully it would be enough.
Once the train arrived in Avon, Sayha deboarded and headed into the streets of Avon. Sayha actually had never been in the city of Avon though it wasn’t hard finding the inn as the smell of liquor was strong… and the bustling inside could be heard from the outside.
When Sayha pushed open the door, the ruckus was even louder, and there were more people than Sayha thought possible. After shaking her head, she walked in and looked around for the Heretic. One of the barkeeps went up to her and asked if she needed help. Sayha nodded, saying she was there to meet a heretic by the name of Noctis. The barkeep nodded and pointed out a back room where he was waiting. Sayha thanked the barkeep and headed to the back room. The room was much quieter than the main part of the tavern, and it looked rather orderly. There was a large table with chairs as well as a seating area next to a fireplace. In one of the chairs was where Noctis was sitting. He greeted her, and Sayha nodded in reply. She went over and took a seat. She declined anything additional when one of the waitresses came and asked if she wanted anything.
“Well since Dorian didn’t beat me here, he should be here soon,” Sayha said, “Once he gets here, we can chat about the dungeon you said you discovered.”

It was a fair distance between Londinium and Avon, and a treacherous journey that one usually undertook with a party or a caravan, or even on the new train system that had just been implemented into the Kingdom; but, alas, the Shaman had decided to go it alone. With the craze and wild abandon that dungeons were oft than not to provide, a bit of solitude and self reflection was always good to clear the mind and help set oneself at ease, to better prepare for the unavoidable mental turmoil that was handling a group of more than two people. Luckily, he was with acquaintances he had experience with, one more than the other, however. But, he was undisturbed; Sayha had asked him personally to come, and it would be a long time before Dorian ever succumbed to not rushing to his friends' beck and calls.
Luckily, thanks to the various fleet bonuses that had been sown into his accessories, he had quite a bit of speed on him compared to normal; as such, he was raring to go, and it only took him the better part of the morning to get to Stratford-Upon-Avon, perhaps half an hour behind Sayha. He had only been here once before, during a guild-related quest in the Dimensional Theatre, but he was glad to be staying away from there for now, or so he hoped; the details were scarce from what he remembered about Sayha's message on the dungeon. In any case, he swiftly made his way into the city's limits, finding himself just outside the local tavern, a cosy looking place, meant to withstand the cold temperatures that often plagued this area of the kingdom.
"Ah, welcome weary traveller, you look quite well-armoured for a Lander," the waitress beckoned, approaching the Shaman as he entered the building with a polite smile as she looked over his rather darkened leather armour, the Stratford Arms symbol woven into the right shoulder pad. Dorian merely chuckled, nodding his head in agreement. "Well, can I get you anything, master Adventurer? A beverage, a meal, a room perhaps?" Dorian was eerily calm, despite the waitress' odd demeanour, staring directly into his eyes as if attempting to pierce into his soul. He merely shook his head, explaining he was here for a certain group of Adventurers that might be gathered together. The waitress, looking slightly disappointed, kept her perky visage up as best as she could as she directed him towards the back.
Upon following her directions, Dorian found himself in a much more pleasant environment; comparing the two areas of the inn, it was a lot more peaceful and calm in this area, which was no doubt why Noctis had chosen the place to situate himself. It wasn't long before Dorian spotted the Heretic, Sayha sat with him as they looked over the various papers strewn about their table. Dorian approached the duo, giving them both a bowed head of respect, before seating himself on the opposite side of them both. "A pleasure to see you both again, comrades; apologies for my tardiness. 'Late But in Earnest' as they say. In any case, shall we discuss this dungeon of yours, Noctis?" After making pleasantries, Dorian cut straight to the chase, before turning to Sayha and tilting his head slightly. "You've been filled in accordingly, yes? I would dread to think you both waited for little old me." HEALTH:100 MANA:100 WORDCOUNT:569 Coded by @serenityspace of LH

Having all of his compatriots arrive, Kain spreads out some of the more basic forms of his research for them to peruse as he begins explaining. "I actually did wait for you Dorian. More out of selfish reasons of not wanting to repeat myself, but nonetheless feel as flattered or as taken-aback as you wish." Giving a small chuckle, he points to the first of his series of visual aids as he begins his explanation.
"Lately, since we've been stuck in this world, I've taken to exploring ruins and abandoned areas as a sort of pastime. I tend to find interesting little scraps of lore, sometimes I find artifacts that i can sell for money, you know, scavenger stuff. I don't know why really, part of me just wanted to learn what it could about this world. It wasn't a whole lot, but it was definitely intriguing. It was on one of those explorations I came across this." Fumbling through his bag, he pulled out a rather intact stone slab. it appeared to have once been ordained in intricate glyphs and ornamentation, but now only held the ruins of it as well as some strange heiroglyphic language.
"It took me hours of research to figure out how to translate this tablet. It isn't written in any documented language as far as I could tell, and believe me I had a lot of free time to spend pouring over it looking for something similar. Eventually I managed to come upon a code that worked similarly and, with some modification to its structure, I actually was able to make a functioning key. Following the key, it spoke of a dungeon within an area of Avon that defied what should have been. Summer when its supposed to be winter, winter when its supposed to be summer, flowing rivers and crystal flowers, real mystical been-smoking-the-pipe-too-long shit. I didn't believe it honestly. I thought it would turn out to be a bunch of old ruins that turned out to be nothing short of an old legend. Until I found it."
He became real serious, pulling out his journal and showing the transcription of the environment he had taken within it. The image it showed, next to a map that led not too far from their current location looked more like a tropical paradise than the current winter wonderland that lay around them. the most shocking part being the timestamp on the transcription, showing an earlier time at today's date.
"I don't really know what to expect with it honestly. The tablet didn't speak of any ancient evils or foreboding monsters guarding it. I only ask that you come in order to help in case I get into any trouble that I cant handle on my own. That, and you each have certain talents a heretic like myself lacks. So whataya say? Do you want to see something strange and mystical?"

Dorian had taken a lot longer than Sayha had initially thought he would. During the wait time, Sayha had been going through her own notes in her notebook. It was mostly notes about hidden places in Londinium she had explored as well as quite a few notes on herbs and pharmacy stuff as she was preparing to work on her subclass.
When Dorian had appeared, she nodded at him, “Glad you could make it though maybe we should look into getting you a mount whistle.”
Noctis began speaking, and Sayha turned her attention to him. He explained that he had waited for Dorian mostly because he didn’t want to explain everything twice. That was fair enough… especially if he had to do a lot of explanation.
Since he had been stuck in the world, Noctis explained that he had been doing his own studies on unexplored areas. Both Dorian and Sayha had done similar exploration so it was no surprise. Though on his exploration, he had found an ancient tablet. He showed the two of them the tablet. On the tablet, there were hieroglyphic type letters.
Noctis explained that it took him a long time to translate the tablet… he talked about how he was able to decrypt it, but Sayha kind of zoned out during that part. What caught her attention though was what was written on it. It spoke of a dungeon in Avon… and that there was something strange about it.
“I’m still up for exploration,” Sayha replied, “I mean we’re both here so we’re both interested. I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t go on exploring. As for the strange and mystical… I’m pretty sure with the stuff I’ve seen during my own exploration things I won’t have any problems with what we see. Lead the way.”

Noctis explained that he had waited for Dorian, in the hopes of not having to explain his findings twice; the Shaman wasn't about to argue with reasons like that. Repetition was more often than not rather tedious. But, there were more important matters to attend to than who was waiting for who. Quickly nodding his head, Dorian glanced over at Sayha, giving her a knowing look; the two of them had done their fair share of exploring, and together they were accustomed to the mystical aspect of their new world.
The stone slab that Noctis withdrew from his bag was quite old, and though intact, it seemed to be somewhat weathered in places; alas, such was expected of writings chiselled into stone. It was clear that the Heretic had put quite a lot of time into the research of the tablet's hieroglyphics, and the Shaman was intrigued by his findings; the idea of a dungeon that was completely in opposite to the rest of the world, it was something to be curious about. "I wonder what kind of magic holds such a place together..." Dorian muttered his words to himself, rubbing at his chin in contemplation as he wondered after what powerful sorcery could create such a location.
Dorian's eyes then fell upon the image that Noctis had created, the tropical locale in quite a stark contrast to the current season's wintry snowfall. The Shaman glanced over the map that the Heretic had no doubt measured out, directing towards the location of the new dungeon's entrance. Finally, before either himself or Sayha could say anything on the matter, Noctis made his proposal, for the three of them to investigate what lay within the topsy-turvy world. Dorian merely nodded his head, turning to Sayha as she began to speak.
"I concur with what Sayha says. Exploration can be dangerous, no matter where it takes us; and if my help is needed, let it never be said that I wouldn't provide it." Standing up from his seat, he gestured towards the map, giving his two compatriots a knowing smile. "Come now, then, let us be off - I am eager to see what awaits us along this path of yours, Noctis."

He was glad that his compatriots showed a decent amount of enthusiasm towards his findings, and after quickly regathering and storing away his items, Kain got up and ushered for them to follow. The path through Avon itself wasn't too bad. The snow didn't prove to be coming down too hard, and his map proved to guide them correctly. For the most part the journey at least to the edge of town was without event. About 10 minutes out however, things began to take a turn. The wind and snow began to pick up into a rather rapid flurry, blowing every which way, giving slight disorientation to the group. Casting out a line of rope, Kain made to lead the way, glad he had taken the journey already once before.
After a few minutes in the blizzard, they reached the edge of a forest, the trees providing cover from the blistering winds and furious snowfall. Fortunately the path that he had marked earlier with mythic script still glowed along the bark of the trees, marking the now less obvious trail he had set down before. Pushing his way through the thick snowfall, Kain trudged along the group, the shrubbery and the trees slowly seeming to get denser, blocking out much of the sun and only allowing the glowing runes to light their way. After a while in the dark brush, the cold of winter began to slowly give way to a more warm, comfortable and mildly humid heat. Cutting through the brush further revealed the source of the strange weather.
Here, in the middle of this winter wonderland sat a strange clearing that defied the world. Tropical plants, fruits and flowers lined the sides with ferns and bright colors around their feet. Insects and butterflies fluttered around, and cute docile mobs sat just poking around. The sun pierced defiantly into the area, not a cloud in the sky and a nice warm but not overbearing light shone in. in the middle of it all stood a small crystal clear lake, of perfect depth for lounging, a slight warm mist with steam emanating from its surface. At the far edge sat a mountain not before seen by the group on their approach, with a calm waterfall coming over its edges into the far end of the lake.
The far end also appeared adorned with ruins of some sort of temple. Some pillars sat toppled and crumbling on the ground, being slowly reclaimed by nature, others still stood adamant in preserving their place in this world. All seemed to lead to an etching on the innermost part of the cliff-face. A series of carvings in an intricate hieroglyphic language, all in the shape of some sort of doorway, but immobile upon the side of the cliff. Upon closer inspection, it would reveal that a portion of the intricate carvings was missing, much in the shape of the tablet from earlier.
Kain would once again remove the table from his bag, carefully bringing it up to the hole and placing it in, careful not to break the ancient slab any further than it had. Immediately, the edges of the hole and all of the glyphs would light up in a brilliant display of colors, outlining and creating a door, opening to reveal an ornate and beautiful corridor leading deeper into the mountain. From the outside it would seem extremely out of place for a dungeon, most being decrepit and ruinous, but this one looked ornate and new.
Shaking off his awe, Kain would turn to his comrades, “Looks like the key fits.” Beginning the groups foray, he carefully looked in and seeing nothing of a threatening nature, he took a step inside, his shoes making audible clacks upon the polished stone floor.

After Sayha had finished speaking, Dorian had chimed in, agreeing with her. Though Sayha thought in the back of her head that they were both thinking back to the last exploration expedition they had been on.
Noctis seemed calmer once the two of them agreed, and she didn’t blame him. She highly doubted a heretic like him would be able to solo much. Between the three of them, Sayha was the highest level, siting at level 68. Dorian was at 44 and Noctis was sitting at level 20… she would have to do her best to keep the two of them safe. She did have an aggro grabbing ability so if worst came to be, she would be able to hold any monsters off.
Once Noctis gathered his things and motioned for Dorian and Sayha to follow him. Sayha nodded and followed behind the heretic. As they left the inn, Sayha wrapped her jacket around her tighter to try to ignore the cold. They walked through Avon and headed out into what looked like some nasty clouds. It didn’t take long for the clouds to turn into a blizzard. Sayha internally cursed, wishing she had more than just one coat.
After wandering through the blizzard, Noctis had led them to the edge of a forest. Walking through the forest made the snow and wind kind of disappear, but it was really dark… However not long after that, they were in a clearing… where the sun was shining?
Sayha carefully looked around and noted what she could mentally. There was a waterfall and a small lake… and ruins. It seemed that Noctis was heading to the ruins so that was where they headed to. Within the ruins, there were carvings that didn’t make any sense to her… it reminded her of Ultima Thune… except that the temple there had been on an island instead of in the middle of a forest.
There was an emptiness in the carvings on the wall… then Noctis pulled out the tablet from before and placed it into the empty spot. Noctis stepped in first which made Sayha move in front of him quickly.
“You should let me go first, Noctis,” Sayha said to him, “Stay leading but I should go first. It would be better for me to get attacked first; I can take some hits.” With that, Sayha continued walking. While she was walking, she pulled out her Gekkoin Bow from her inventory and held it in her left hand. With an arrow in her right, she kept it at the ready to fire in case any attackers suddenly appeared. Then, she quickly activated both <Hearing Aptitude> and <Tongue of Nature> so she would have them on passively.

Without further word, the trio collected their things and readied themselves for the journey ahead, stepping out into the main area of the tavern. As the other two made towards the door, Dorian quickly flagged down the woman from earlier, handing her a bag of gold for her troubles; from her expression, it seemed she was hoping for more, but didn't say anything of it. Smiling politely, she thanked the Shaman for his generosity, Dorian bowing his head with respect before quickly following the others out the door. Glancing over his party members, he realised he was situated rather firmly between them in terms of level; Sayha at a rather massive 68, and the Heretic Noctis at a rather low 20. But, with the Assassin's battle knowledge and skill, and with Dorian keeping them from taking too much damage, he assumed they would handle things relatively easily.
Moving out into the outskirts of Avon was like stepping into an oven - only, instead of heat, it was the cold that graced their bodies. Dorian was lucky that his leather and cloth combination was rather snug and warm, able to withstand the temperatures; though, it was designed by the Stratford Arms, here in Avon, so it wasn't surprising that his armour was acclimatised to the blizzard-like weather. Sayha seemed to be holding up fairly well for a time, but even she felt the bite of winter eventually, the Shaman noticing her aversion to the cold. Moving up alongside her, Dorian removed the jacket of one of his vanity gears from his inventory, swiftly wrapping it over the Assassin's shoulders. "We can't have you catching the flu before we even reach the dungeon, can we?" Chuckling under his breath - which seemed to mist up in contact with the cold air - he gently patted her back, before falling back to follow both her and Noctis.
After trudging through heavy snowfall and blinding blizzards, weather that managed to cut past even his own armour, Dorian was shocked to find that they had arrived in a rather peculiar and topsy-turvy clearing; they had moved from blizzards and snow, to what seemed like a tropical paradise, vibrant fruits and plant-life growing throughout the small piece of land. "Remarkable," the Shaman muttered, not noticing the others had moved off towards a collection of ruins. Eventually, he snapped back to reality from his brief mesmerised state, rushing to catch up as Noctis ritualistically opened what seemed like a runic door; the glow reminded Dorian of his own racial tattoos, though he kept that to himself; not even Sayha had seen his markings, let alone Noctis.
Of course, as any group of Adventurers would do when faced with a lavishly adorned corridor, opened by a menacing rune door that lay within ruins situated amongst a tropical clearing that was surrounded by Avon winter weather, the intrepid trio entered the dungeon, Sayha quickly moving in front of Noctis to take the front; she was their superior in level, of course, so it was only natural she be put in the more dangerous position of the train. Dorian shifted in beside the Heretic, his attention mainly focused on Sayha, keeping his barrier skills at the ready for when any monsters would appear. "Well then, we have our formation; shall we?" The Shaman gestured towards the end of the corridor, eager to explore further in.

Kain smiled and rolled his eyes as Sayha moved her way to the front of the formation. Its not that he thought she was wrong, far from it; he just always found her rather action-oriented demeanor to be a bit humerous was all. he stopped and waited for a moment for the Shaman to catch up, a huge smile across his face, "Magnificent, isn't it? The whole place seems to almost ebb a strange and magnificent radience. Its like nothing we've yet discovered-"
Kain suddenly found himself cut short as the sound of the massive doors loudly and quickly slamming shut behind them echoed through the hall. Startled he quickly spun on his heels and held onto his hat as he bolted for the door. Reaching the monstrous slabs of petrified wood, he tried multiple times to open them, all in vain. "It looks like we may be here a while," he said to the group, trotting back over to them, and dusting off his hands as he did. On his way back however, he failed to notice the sudden and quick pulse of light originating from the center of the door, and quickly flowing over the walls, ceiling and floor of the dungeon, forming and disolving strange blue glyphs akin to those on the door.
what happened next was somewhere between instantaneous and a process. A massive but strange headache suddenly overcame him, his vision blurry and crosseyed, before suddenly spotty blackness as though he were about to pass out. And then. Nothing. He felt fine. Vision was normal, didnt feel any more sick. But something felt off. For starters, his hair seemed to be covering one of his eyes. He didnt reqlly know what to think of that, as his hair was already fIrly long and unkempt anyway, but this was strange. It was the strange icon now in the corner of his HUD that really bothered him. A small icon that simply read "touch of the trickster". He remembered something about it in his research, but....no.....it couldnt be. Panicking he quickly searched the room for a mirror and upon seeing it rushed over to its polished surface. Staring back at him was not the patchwork man he had come to recognize as himself. What stared him back was a rather attractive FEMALE.
This was wrong, all kinds of wrong. His once already somewhat shaggy hair was now incredibly long, going all the way down his back and in the front a long bang covered his right eye. The miasma streaks within it replaced with purple gradient highlights along the edges. His form was rather athletic and pretty shapely. His waist and arms were thin, the long grotesque stitches replaced with only a few minor and faint ones. His mouth stitching now reduced to only two lines of thread on each side. And his....breasts. He now had breasts and they were actually sizeable if not substantial. Worst of all, his custom vanity suit had apparently changed with him. His feather in his hat now replaced with a red rose, the fitted dress shirt now a little TOO fitted, slightly unbuttoned at the top to reveal a little, his tie now loose and in-between THEM, his dress pants form fitting and then dress boots. He didnt onow what to think. On anyone else he would have labled it as stunning or downright beautiful, but on HIM???? All that could cross his mind was how embarrasing it all was. He could feel his face heating up, a massive red blush covering it as he began to try and quickly but exasperatingly palm through menus to try and de-equip his vanity set. After several flustered attempts, he finally managed to do so, and promptly buried his face in its scarf.

As the group moved forward, Noctis began to speak, and Sayha only half listened. The there was a sudden slam which caused Sayha to spin around quickly, getting ready to shoot. As it turned out, the doors had slammed shut and Sayha went back to her normal stance. She watched as Noctis tried to open the doors but to no avail. He wasn’t paying attention to the door… but Sayha was very much so.
The door began to pulse light starting at its center… some sort of magic if Sayha had to give a guess. Then the light pulsed over the entire room that they were in, and blue glyphs appeared all along where the light had touched…. Even on a mirror that appeared to be off to the side… wait, why was there a mirror.
Sayha didn’t have a chance to question it because she was suddenly hit with a splitting migraine, strong enough to make her close her eyes and put one of her hands to her head. After a few deep breaths the pain ebbed away, and Sayha opened her eyes… except… something was most definitely wrong… and there was a debuff on Sayha… was it from the magic? Sayha wasn’t sure, but when she read that the debuff was called <Touch of the Trickster> well… she though back to when she had met the Trickster a few months ago… it sounded about right… but wait, what did it do…
Sayha blinked when she looked around… Noctis now had long hair and was… a woman? Wait a second… Sayha looked down at herself and sure enough… she was no longer female. As calmly as possible, he walked over to the mirror where Noctis was and sure enough, Sayha was now a male. Her hair was still the same hue of purple but now the back portion was longer and tied back in a low ponytail. Her army uniform still looked fine on her despite being a male… though she seemed to be handling it much better than Noctis who was beet red and trying to cover up his face with a scarf after changing his gear.
“I probably should be more shocked than I am,” Sayha said aloud… and realizing that her voice definitely was a guy’s voice. Though in the back of her head, she realized that if Hiro had been there with her, she would be probably in the same state as Noctis.

We once knew a fella named Abel, Who loved to jump razor wire cable, One day he made a slip; Heard a howl and a rip... So now we address him as Mabel.
"Indeed, this place seems to almost emanate a powerful lifeforce... It's like the very walls around us have minds of their own." Dorian made small talk with the Heretic as they traversed deeper into the dungeon, the corridor darkening and disappearing behind them. It had not been long since he and Sayha had gone down into the dark abyss of the bunker beneath Londinium, and though he did not wish to relive any memories of that place, he couldn't help but wonder if there were similarities here. The flow of life and the aura of the very ground they walked on seemed to gently shift and react to their every steps, almost like a an airy, mystical water, invisible but very much real. Just as the Shaman thought on it's implications their current conversations were cut off inexplicably by a loud noise. "What was...?" Dorian attempted to communicate his confusion, but it seemed that the others had already heard; Noctis rushing back the way they had come to investigate. As it turned out, the source of the sudden forceful sound was the doors they had opened closing on them. "Don't worry, dungeons like this are normally designed to allow for us to leave through the end of it, a second exit, as it were," the Shaman reassured Noctis as he returned, dusting off his hands from having tried to pry open the doors. The Assassin with them was calm as ever, though as always Dorian wondered what thoughts danced behind her collected and stern exterior, what curiosities played in her mind. Alas, there was no time to question what had just occurred, as Dorian watched over the Heretic's shoulder; from the central section of the door, a burst of light, it's velocity almost too much to comprehend, flowed over the walls, careening straight towards them. As it came closer, the gap between it and them quickly dissipating, runic glyphs began to glow with a blue hue over the walls, ceiling and floor; this is the magic he had sensed earlier, but what was it going to do? With no time to run down the corridor and evade the light, and nowhere to slip out of it's range, it was only a matter of waiting and crossing one's fingers in hope that it wasn't a powerful trap designed to decimate intruders. Oh, if only it were so simple. Dorian grimaced as his head suddenly felt like it was being squeezed from all angles, pain wracking his body as he and the others fell to the ground; and then, it was darkness, empty and lacking of any feeling. Shaking his head, the Shaman quickly rose to his feet as sensations returned to his form, his vision coming back to him all of a sudden. And just as quickly as it had happened, the corridor they were in returned to a state of quiet, as if nothing had occurred. But, they could all feel it; there was something wrong here. A small pop-up flickered upon his interface, and, opening it, Dorian found a strange new debuff had been planted upon his person, labelled Touch of the Trickster. Whoever this Trickster was, he had a strange sense of humour. Dorian glanced over to see how his comrades were faring... Only to blink with a confused expression plastering itself over his visage. Where Sayha had once stood, now there was a male of striking resemblance to her, wearing her garments. "S-Sayha...?" The Shaman cooed in an inquisitive manner, only to step back from shock, startled by the strange, high-pitched voice that echoed from his palette. Still his familiar English accent, but... that was not a male voice. Had the magic made his voice feminine? No, not just feminine, but completely female! But, as Dorian looked to see the Heretic had also taken on a change, a woman now wearing Noctis' robes, the Shaman quickly put two and two together. Moving over to the mirror once the others had finished their incredulous looks, Dorian looked at herself in the mirror. There she was, standing in his familiar Stratford Arms Leather, with the same Stratford Arms Longsword strapped to her hip, but the body... where she was once a tall, muscular, broad-shouldered male, Dorian's form had shrunk down slightly, her chest having increased in size to form a woman's bosom - yet still forming nicely beneath the shape of the leather armour. Her hair was still the familiar darkened brown colour, and it was still messy and unkempt as she normally kept it, but where she once had two fashionable-for-a-male braids tied beneath her ear, she now had four of them, each branching out in different directions from the back of her head. "Well, this is rather..." Dorian's new femme voice trailed off, the Shaman really having no words to describe her new predicament. But, as he thought back, it began to make sense; the tropical paradise within a clearing situated in the blinding blizzards of Avon, the topsy-turvy world they had entered; a realm of opposites, perhaps? It was hard to tell for certain, without evidence or answers. "Okay, let's not panic here," she muttered under her breath, turning from the mirror to face Noctis and Sayha with a calm and gentle expression. "Judging by the fact we all checked our interfaces, I assume you all have the Touch of the Trickster debuff too? It's safe to assume that's what is causing this. Which means it can be removed; so, I think our best course of action should be to venture further in and see about finding a way to do so. Agreed?"

Kain had no idea what was going on the room just kept spinning to him/her. The others seemed to be taking their transformations rather well, with his own reaction having been the most absurd of the group most likely. He tried to recompose himself. Giving his head a shake he decided to tough it up and just deal with the situation at hand. "I think-" the voice that came out, much like Dorian's, was now a much more feminine tone. He honestly was a little startled by it, and stopped to take a deep breath before continuing. " It would probably be best to explore the rest of the dungeon, see if we can find the source of all this chaos." getting up and dusting off his clothes, he took a look about the room that they now stood in.
In it, there was a massive chandelier hanging in the middle, with a large door on each wall. Surrounding them were various antiques, statues, armor sets, paintings and all sorts of things. It seemed almost like an extremely overly fancy attic. Giving a sigh he turned to his group to ask what they should do before a tiny male voice seemed to pipe up. "Why is it so dark in here Jeez!" Before Kain knew what was happening, he felt a small form fly its way out from under his scarf and hood to hover in the air in front of his face. The character was maybe a foot tall and looked a little cartoonish, with little purple flames just dancing in the air next to him. His hair was long and miasma-tainted into black with purple highlights, the bags under his eyes looking familiar with their purple shimmering haze. He wore long, ornate heretics robes that covered his arms and legs, with a large white fur collar and a strange mask hanging off the side of his head.
"Noctis?" Kain asked quizically. He had no idea how the spirit had managed to manifest itself outside of his body, and was honestly filled with way too many questions now. The small spirit smiled wide, "In the flesh!" He looked around the room, darting around but never too far from Kain. "So what kind of mess have you gotten us into this time?"
Note: feel free to add to the rooms as we go through/make your own decisions without me telling you whats fully going on. ill make seperate narration posts for your interactions and such

As Sayha began to process what was going around, she heard someone call her name. The someone ended up being Dorian… with a female voice of course. He looked a lot more similar to how he normally appeared than Noctis did. Though Dorian was probably taking it the best between the three, telling both her and Noctis not to panic. Dorian spoke about the <Touch of the Trickster> debuff they all had and said it was safe to assume that that was the cause of the… effects. He explained that exploring would be the best bet to find out what would stop the… effects. Noctis agreed right away, saying that it would be best to explore the dungeon. Noctis, however, seemed to take his change in voice much worse than Sayha and Dorian had… though he seemed to be taking everything worse… and that made Sayha wonder just how much research Noctis had done. After all, he was supposedly the head person
“I agree, but everyone be careful,” Sayha responded, “If you see danger, call right away so we can regroup.” Sayha’s bow was still in her… his hand… though maybe thinking her as a she would just make her life simpler. She quick swapped her bow for her dual-headed scythe and began walking towards where some of the various corridors were. She noted that this place almost felt like a home with the antiques and such strewed about. Was it possible that something or someone was living here?
Sayha kept her thoughts to herself for the time being and walked towards the right corridor.
((Noc, you need to give us more to work with when it comes to the dungeon description.))((Personal Note: AP to here Claimed))

Dorian smiled softly, her two compatriots quickly picking themselves up out of their shock and surprise to quiet and calm. Luckily, they both seemed to be in the same mindset as himself; in order to fix whatever had happened to them, they would need to continue in further, exploring whatever the dungeon had to offer. However, even in their idle calm, Noctis and Sayha were having very different reactions to the situation, as it seemed. With Sayha seemingly rather unchanged besides becoming a much more masculine body, she was taking things well so far, but who knows what might happen further down the line. Noctis however, was a bit on the panicked side, but he did have the most knowledge of the dungeon out of the three, so he would likely come up with something.
"Let's see here," the Shaman muttered under his breath, as the others went about their own investigations; it would likely be best that they look into where they were first, before venturing in deeper. Having rushed down the corridor, they had found themselves in a starkly different room, Dorian's head tilting back to see that above them was a dazzling chandelier. It was quite a large piece of the room, taking up almost all of the central section of the roof, it's bits and pieces of flashy crystals reflecting the nominal amount of light back out into the room. Glancing back down, the Shaman was amazed at what surrounded them within the room.
Bits and bobs from various places, antiques from across the Unfounded Kingdom... Statues of people Dorian had never even heard of, and yet here they stood in all their stone carved glory. Some spots were taken up by armour and weapon racks, with worn, aged equipment hanging off of them. Hanging on the walls, or propped up against them off the floor, were various paintings, some new, some ancient, some upside down. Quite the... attic, they had found themselves in. That or a basement, but with no way of telling if this dungeon went up or down further in, it could be either or. Nevertheless, it was an interesting sight to behold.
Sayha seemed to have an idea on her mind of where to go, her bow quickly swapping out to be replaced by her more signature weapons, the one's she... or he, had used back during their exploration of the bunker in Londinium. With her scythe in hand, the Assassin approached the corridors that left the room, before walking down into the darkened shadows of the right-most path. Glancing back at Noctis, Dorian gave a soft grin, gesturing towards where Sayha had gone. "Best we stick together, hmm?" With that, she turned away from the Heretic, hand grasping down towards her longsword hilt and unsheathing it from it's scabbard, brandishing outwards in front of him and walking forward towards the corridor that Sayha had taken, following her lead and entering the new path. "Let's see where this takes us, shall we...?" Dorian's voice was a gentle mutter under his breath, as he swiftly caught up and began trailing behind Sayha.
