The sun was held high in the sky over Londinium, beating down upon the Earth with its strong warmth. That along with the training being held soaked almost all those in Vylbrand Academy's Colosseum. In the center of the gargantuan stone arena was a small training event, though to any who didn't know better it would seem closer to a one-sided brawl. The sound of metal clanging against metal vibrated through the entire Colosseum as a mock fight raged on between the white-haired Guardian and the contrarily black haired Swashbuckler. "Keep your shield up, but do not completely cover yourself! You should be protected, but not blind!" Dumah slashed fiercely with his sword in his right hand, and his left hand free. Ignoring the heat and sweat, the Swashbuckler kept his assault up for several minutes before slashing twice in quick succession, breaking through his new disciple's defense, stopping his blade just centimeters from the plate of the Guardian's armor. A few seconds passed in complete stillness before the victor spoke. "Your skills are improving, but you still need to practice." Dumah sheathed his sword in the wooden scabbard dangling by the left side of his hip, resting his left hand on the hilt. "Given time and practice, I believe you could become a very skilled Guardian." Dumah gave a soft smile before walking towards the circumference of the arena to take a seat for a moment. On his way, he spoke over his shoulder to the Guardian, "Take a quick break and catch your breath. We can continue in a few minutes." With that, the Swashbuckler went to the large seating area surrounding the Colosseum, joining a young girl cheering for the Swashbuckler. He smiled as she applauded his victory with a joyous smile on her own face. "Good job, daddy!" The young Sorceress smiled brightly with excitement towards her father's apparent victory. As Dumah sat down, he rubbed the young girl's head affectionately and softly, getting a slight giggle out of her. "Thank you, Alette." The Swashbuckler smiled happily as he relaxed beside his daughter, watching her as she cast Icicle Impale to enchant her staff with ice. She held it close to both her and her father, the newly chilled weapon cooling them both down. After a few moments, Dumah looked over at the Guardian, his newest student. With his left arm, he gestured to the boy, beckoning him over. "Why don't you come join us, Sayinh? Sit for a while and relax, then we shall continue your training once you have rested." The winds began to blow stronger, the zephyr feeling amazing after the warm, exhausting training that had just taken place. Hitting the sweaty bodies of each person there, the wind was chilling and very relaxing. It was an all around beautiful day.

Always improving Scroll within the box Clashing blades with the swashbuckler that took in Sayinh as his apprentice. They had been doing this as a part of Sayinhs training for quite some time now. Sayinhs neck burned as the sun roasted it in the noon hours. The sweat started to drop down into his armor making it all nasty and smelly. That reminded him, that he’d probably have to take a bath again soon. The armor hadn’t been washed for a while neither. The lake wasn’t far away, though it would be nice to take a real bath sometime. Well, then he’d have to get a house first.
Slowly but surely the swashbuckler got the upper hand, not that it surprised anyone since he was the leader of Noihara, and way more experienced than Sayinh. Exhaustion made Sayinh slowly lose his parades, and that was when Dumah stroke. A clean lunge towards Sayinhs armor, and they were finished. - Getting complimented after training is always a great thing, and it makes me wanna get even better! - Sayinh thought as he went to get some water. He took of his plate armor, splashed his face with some water from a barrel-like well pump, and shook his hair free of water. The white, sweaty tank-top like undershirt felt like it was glued to his stomach, enhancing the view of his muscles. He took that off too, wringed it free of as much sweat he could and put it back on. It was still sticky, but at least it didn’t feel as nasty anymore.
As Sayinh walked back toward the swashbuckler, he stumbled on a stone in the ground, but quickly regained balance and kept on going. He saw the Swashbuckler itting with the little girl, whom often appeared when they were training. She was a young sorceress, always smiling and being a happy boost of energy to whatever place she’d might go. That was at least the feeling Sayinh got when he saw her sitting and clapping whenever the mock fight between himself and Dumah was over. The swashbuckler welcomed him with a soft smile, asking if Sayinh wouldn’t sit with them and relax. As he saw Alette, the young sorceress sit with the Icicle Impale enchant, he kindly accepted and took a seat at Dumah’s right side. The chill coming from the staff had a nice effect on his soon to be stiff shoulders. Helping him relax the Guardian slowly wanted to start a conversation. So he leaned forward, placed his elbows on his knees, looked at the two sitting to the left of him and asked. “So, uhm. I’ve been wondering. Where did you two meet? I’m just asking because of how often you are here Alette.”.
Not sure of where this would go, he readied himself for whatever answer would be thrown towards him. TAG: @dumah WORDS: 469 NOTES: Have just put my post into template.

Just as he had offered, Dumah's young new apprentice sat by his side, relaxing and catching his breath after the fight. After a moment, the white-haired Guardian leaned forward in his seated position, hoping to initiate a conversation. He spoke up, asking curiously about where exactly Dumah and Alette had met. The Swashbuckler smiled as he softly put his hand on Alette's head, glancing over at the cherubic little Sorceress as he began to answer his student's question. "Alette is my daughter, we have been together since around the time of The Apocalypse. In fact, have you heard of an old Raid Party that formed just days after The Apocalypse, comprised of all low level Adventurers, known as the Boston Tea Party?" Some stories of such a group had spread, but the fame of the party dwarfed in comparison to any official guilds. Despite its low recognition, surely Sayinh had heard at least a few rumors and tales. "After The Apocalypse, Alette and I encountered each other in the Boston Tea Party; we are both former members. In fact, she an I are not the only former members of the Tea Party in Noihara; Sotarou was also a member." The Swashbuckler reminisced slightly about days lost long ago. After the group finished relaxing and conversing, Dumah pushed himself up from his seat on the stone surrounding the Colosseum. "Alright, let us continue. As you are a Guardian, your primary role is to defend and protect your allies at all costs." There was a bit of emphasis on the end of that statement: All costs. "As such, I want you to try to stop me in this next exercise." Dumah moved some wooden targets into positions resembling a typical party: In the back were two figures representing a Cleric and Sorcerer, while in the front was a figure that represented a Swashbuckler, or any melee DPS class in general. All that was left to complete the average party was a Tank - Sayinh. Dumah drew his sword and waited several moments, giving his disciple plenty of time to prepare. With that, the Swashbuckler dashed toward the back, hoping to defeat the Cleric statue first, as is the common tactic. The Guardian managed to do well in defending his wooden party.

Aeon rode his new horse, a very skittish Shire named Gunpowder, through the countryside. He was attempting to get used to his new mount, something he was glad he had some experience in from his time in the military. He pat the neck of his companion and soothed him as the sound of clanging metal and splintering wood filled the air. He held the reins and steered Gunpoweder towards the sounds, bringing him to a sprint. "Let's go Gunpowder."
Aeon slowed the pace of his mount as he neared a large stone structure, it appeared to be an arena of sorts. He began to circle around it, looking for an entrance, which was found fairly easily. He stared at the entrance for a second, a large banner hung on either side of the entryway. On the right hung Noihara's insignia and on the left hung a banner for Vylbrand. That's right, I heard something about a training area. It might be a good idea to sharpen my skills a bit before heading out on my own. He pulled his rifle from his back and slid off his horse and readied his rifle by sliding a bullet into the chamber. He held the barrel down and ran towards the arena to see several wooden statues lined up next to and behind a guardian. He heard Dumah Iino tell the guardian to defend the statues as best he can. That is not possible for one guardian to defend 3-4 others without any help. A Swashbuckler, especially at that level, would have no issues. Aeon raised his weapon, sighted in and fired a single shot. The bullet soared through the air towards Dumah, colliding with his sword. A metallic clang filled the air as Dumah's sword jerked suddenly. He ran into the arena, behind the wooden statues and reloaded his rifle. "I have your back guardian!"

Well timed help Scroll within the box Dumah slowly started to explain the situation between Alette and him, asking Sayinh if he had heard about the Boston Tea Party. Sayinh gave off a slight nod followed with a tilt of his entire body; throwing his head onto the other side of the chair-ish seat, he was on. “Of course I know the Tea Party, or… I’ve heard of it. Never really given it much thought, since I myself never had the interest of parties.”, he said before the swashbuckler rose and called him back into the arena. The constant change from hot to cold, then back to hot was somewhat relaxing in some way. At home, he’d always just jumped into the pool whenever Rose and he had finished playing, but here, there was no pool, so the cooling brought to them by Alette was great.
Sayinh took a quick look upon the arena whilst he equipped his armor again. Dumah had placed a couple of wooden dolls, resembling a team. Two in the back, most likely a Sorcerer, Summoner or any other type of ranged DPS, and a Healer. Moreover, in front, a melee DPS, Swashbuckler, Assassin and so on. At last, to finish it all, Sayinh himself, the tank. All of this was pretty simple… Defend your allies, and do NOT let Dumah touch them. One single strike would be enough to put them out of action.
With light, quick jumps, Sayinh reached the ground on which his tests would continue to rise. The Guardian eagerly to get going again reached his assigned position. He readied up, positioning himself in a reasonable stance, making it easy to move to all sides. However, Sayinh was expecting Dumah to head towards the backlines. Easiest kills and the healer was there. “Ready!”, the Guardian said, having his eyes locked on Dumah.
The Swashbuckler didn’t seem to hold back this time, because after only seconds subsequently the Guardian had claimed being ready, the Swashbuckler was moving towards the targets, at incredible speed. It hit Sayinh as a complete surprise, how fast these Swashbucklers really were, and forced him to take unwanted action, if it hadn’t been because of this newly arrived figure, standing in the outer part of the arena. The click from his rifle was heard and a loud *pling*, clung Dumah’s sword. The Swashbuckler stopped his assault for just a second in surprise, giving Sayinh enough time to dash to the side of Dumah, slamming him backwards with his shield as he spun back at Dumah. “Thanks man, that helped out a lot! I won’t let him get to you, don’t worry about it!”, he loudly said to the Warden that had now placed himself with the two other wooden dolls. The Swashbuckler tried once again, but this time, Sayinh had shaken off the surprise from before. He activated Anchor Howl, giving the Warden time to move into a better position, and prepare for the incoming attacks. The Guardian just had to keep his cool, and read the movement coming towards him. He had to keep them clean of damage until the end! TAG: @dumah , Actaeon WORDS: 516 NOTES: ~~~

As the battle commenced, what began as a one on one exercise to simulate a battle turned into a one against two fight. Dumah smiled as the battle was soon to begin, glad to see that Sayinh would have some support. "Impressive aim, Actaeon. However, while this may be a combat exercise and a training session, I want you to lower your damage output as much as possible. While I could likely grit my teeth and shrug off the impact of your bullets, I am not too sure I can speak for Sayinh; even with his thick armor and higher defense, it will likely sting nonetheless. It has been easier to avoid hurting each other in a sword fight, but you cannot exactly stop and pull a bullet away just before impact." With that, the fight began. Dumah dashed towards Sayinh, locked into targeting the Tank due to his Anchor Howl ability. While - as stated just moments ago - Dumah could likely handle the pain of his opponents' lower stats and weaker gear, he did not want to make the fight impossible for his students. Running at the Guardian, he drew his sword back and dashed behind Sayinh, putting the boy between the Swashbuckler and Actaeon, using Sayinh's immobility to his own advantage. With the large, rooted metal suit defending Dumah from most of the bullets, the Swashbuckler put most of his attention toward deflecting the attacks from the enemy Guardian that was ironically tanking for him. As the two exchanged swings and their weapons collided, Dumah began to speak loud enough for everyone in the Colosseum to hear him. "While it can sometimes be unavoidable, do not let your enemy take advantage of your weaknesses, such as your inability to move while Anchor Howl is active." As the Warden tried to move to a better spot to fire from, Dumah simply kept circling around Sayinh, keeping the Guardian between him and Actaeon. "I can keep circling around Sayinh if you keep trying to move to a spot where I am within aim. I wonder if you two can figure out a way to give Actaeon a clear shot, though." There was an answer; a simple one, as a matter of fact.

If nothing else this is a great training. Actaeon thought as he watched as Sayinh activated [Anchor Howl], causing Dumah to attack him and giving Aeon the respite he needed. He continued to sprint around the coliseum as he formulated a plan. Finally as Dumah spoke , pointing out the weakness of skills that immobilize, it hit him. He began to climb the stands until he found a good spot and turned to aim his rifle at Dumah to scope out his options. I can only see from his navel up from this angle but Sayinh's body blocked everything below the Swashbuckler's shoulders. If I use my mode change I can at least reduce the cooldown of my disabling shot... but I can also use my Neuroscope Lens to improve my odds of hitting him.
He activated his skill [Change Mode: Trebuchet Engine]. His armor began shifting, forming a lighter, sleeker form full of small vents. He leaned back and pulled his gun up to his shoulder as his armor reinforced around his knees and ankles, allowing him to keep his position. He aimed down the barrel of his rifle towards Dumah and lined up a shot with his shoulder. This is gonna be a tough shot... He took a deep breath and placed his finger on the trigger before slowly releasing his breath and squeezing the trigger in kind. The rifle kicked back as it sent a bullet hurling towards Dumah, tearing through the air. The bullet passes past Sayinh's right ear with a slight whistle followed by a light thud as it collides with Dumah's left shoulder piece, tearing away a piece of cloth but leaving his flesh unscathed. Dammit, it's just too close of a shot without any aid.

The opposing Swashbuckler used Sayinh’s immobility against him, using him as a meat shield against the Guardians help in need. Having the Guardian taunting the Swashbuckler wasn’t even that effective, it could only prolong the fight, or skirmish rather, a little bit. The ability lasted for another 3 seconds, giving Sayinh only short time to think of his next move. - I can’t win by playing safe here, I gotta risk it! -, he thought, and canceled the spell 0.5 seconds short, to throw Dumah off his timing.
With the quick footwork he learned from Dorian, he kept a rather short distance between them, as he went super aggressive. He had a genius plan going on in his head. As he swung his sword, he pictured the words “Shoot”, in his head. Making aggressive bluffs, he slowly moved Dumah and himself in an S pattern. Even though the Guardian swung as fast as he could, the parry was no big issue for the slick-handed Swashbuckler. By making many steps, the dusty dirt started to whirl up, making their feet more difficult to place. Well, it was both a positive and negative thing. Dumah could use this against him, but at the same time, he can’t see the message. The h was easy to make, since it just required Sayinh to parry and block a few hits whilst he made the half-circle at the bottom of the h. Now, this is where it gets tricky, because the Swashbuckler certainly wasn’t stupid… quite the opposite in fact. The Swashbuckler may already have found out that they were writing a message for the Warden. The o’s and the t would be very difficult to make Dumah move in the ways Sayinh wanted him to. The sounds of swords clinging towards each other was sounded through the entire arena, as Sayinh moved, step by step around in an infinite loop sign resembling two o’s. Before the dust laid, Sayinh smirked, and said. “I’m impressed… You’re keeping up. Even when you’re the one taking the most hits right now”, his mind went on like crazy. - Will this be enough for me to make him eyes stay off the ground for 5 seconds? - , Sayinh thought, starring into the eyes of the Swashbuckler. The t was finished at as the Guardian finished speaking. He started to push Dumah backwards, baiting him towards Actaeon. - Take it! Take the bait you smart son of a gun! -, he thought.
He looked up at Actaeon, giving a slight nod in hope that he understood, before going back to focusing on making Dumah uncomfortable in Sayinh’s direction. TAG: @dumah , Actaeon WORDS: 440 NOTES:~~~

Note 2: But seriously though, I am very impressed with you both, especially Sayinh's idea of writing out a message in the dust! Note 3: (wow lots of notes) Okay, starting now, the posting order will become Dumah, Sayinh, Actaeon, repeat.
The two swordsmen exchanged blows back and forth, neither making any real progress. While Dumah was simply biding his time against the Guardian, curious how his student would counter the Swashbuckler's assault as he swung rapidly, counting down in his head, waiting for Anchor Howl to deactivate. 'Five... Four... Three... Two... O-' Before he could even finish the thought, Sayinh stepped forward, using quick footwork to keep himself up close and personal with his swordplay master. Dumah was legitimately taken off guard, impressed by the wise move of his level one target. Dumah smiled a bit, happy to see that he was not in for such an easy victory -- of course, neither were his opponents. Dumah was now being pushed around the arena, taking shots from the rifle of the self proclaimed 'Artillery' Warden acting as the Student Team's DPS. A bullet grazed the only member of the Master Party, piercing a hole in his black jacket. Dumah grinned a big grin, he was having such fun seeing his students do so well against an opponent who was so powerful compared to them. The grin went from joy to confidence as the Swashbuckler ducked under a horizontal swing of the Guardian's sword, retaliating with a strike of his own against the boy's thick armor. After a while, Dumah and Sayinh had moved all over the arena, and once again Dumah grinned. He swung swiftly at the Guardian's attack, his swing seeming faster, as if his sword became suddenly lighter. In fact, the blade had a green glow to it. As Sayinh recovered from the fierce parry, his target opened his left hand, activating a skill by speaking its name out loud. "Wild Card!" With that, he clenched his grip around the hilt of the suddenly materialized Starter Long Sword. It was rare to see Dumah dual-wield, which was the entire gimmick of his class, and seeing such a rare sight was almost worrying. Perhaps he was simply being pushed to his limits and needed a second weapon to keep up with the onslaught of his students? "Ante Up!" He opened his right and left palms, dropping both of his swords. However, as opposed to a rapid series of metal clangs as one would expect, the swords floated and swung themselves, parrying Sayinh's attacks automatically. It was one of the most infamous Swashbuckler skills, Ante Up, which allowed his swords to become animated and fight for him. As the swords protected their master, the Swashbuckler aimed both of his hands, fingers curled and extended in the shape of a gun, at Sayinh. His hands jerked and Sayinh could feel a fierce gust of wind blast by his head - several blasts, in fact. Dumah fired multiple times over, each blast missing his target, leaving his student unscathed. Perhaps they were all supposed to pretend that these near misses were hits, but without hurting him directly. No, this was Dumah after all, he was a skilled fighter and a good teacher - he would not pull non-lethal punches, and wind blasts were definitely anything but lethal. It barely mattered, the fight continued and neither Dumah nor Sayinh took any direct hits. After a while, Sayinh smirked at his teacher, both of them no longer fighting, but taking a quick moment in the battle to catch their breath. He stated he was impressed, and it felt a bit odd for the student to express being impressed with the teacher, as opposed to it being the other way around. Sayinh went on further to add that it was especially impressive as Dumah had taken far more hits than Sayinh had, which had simply caused Dumah to grin widely and laugh a bit. "That is because I was always your target; however, you were never mine." His swords floated slowly to him, the dust settling around them. Sayinh looked at his own gargantuan message in the dust, but he could not see it. Instead, written all around the arena was simply two letters: "Sㅏ" as the H was partially erased. "I noticed your patterns were writing out a message - I must say, I am very impressed with your resourcefulness! However, as I said: The best tactic in a battle is one that can take advantage of an enemy's strength. Before it was your Anchor Howl, and now it is your dust writing." The Swashbuckler- no, the Spellsword, grabbed his primary sword, which no longer had its green glow. It was a calm grip, as if Dumah was simply trying to conserve his mana during this short pause in the battle. However, he quickly swung the blade, not at Sayinh, but at the ground. While Sayinh was too far to reach with the sword, the dust was scattered all around them, and as he swung his blade it spawned a small whirlwind, blowing the dust all around, creating a dust cloud that covered a large around around himself and Sayinh. It was too thick for Actaeon to see either his partner or opponent through, and thus he had few options to help, and his best option seemed to be staying on over watch, keeping an eye out for the black haired Spellsword. The floating swords from Ante Up, the calculated 'missed' shots from Wind Bullet, the impressive cloud dust smokescreen with Esoteric Fragarach Arms; this was the kind of combat ability that had earned Dumah the title of Spellsword; it was his Swashbuckler build, and yet he incorporated it into his tactics and his combat style. The aforementioned Teacher Team turned out not to include only one member, but two: the incredible father and daughter duo of Dumah and Alette. Having plenty of time before the dust would settle again, Dumah knelt down, quickly fixing the hole in his jacket with his Emergency Suture skill.

New plan, new bait! Scroll within the box Dumah had already found out the plan Sayinh had thought to be brilliant. In fact, he had let Sayinh push him around on purpose, stealing his attention from the ground and therefore… the message. - Damn it! And right when it was progressing so well! I can’t believe how he distracted me, I was sure I was focused on the message as a first priority. -, Sayinh thought, whilst keeping track of Dumah’s movement. He had to use the full extent of these few moments they had to recover as much breath as possible. Without taking his eyes of Dumah, he shouted to Actaeon. “Be ready any time, okay? I still have a few aces up my sleeve.”
No more than a couple of seconds passed, before Dumah created a smokescreen of dust to his own advantage. Neither Sayinh, nor Actaeon would be able to see the Swashbuckler inside of that. - Out… OUT! -. Sayinh’s instincts were screaming danger, even though he knew he had to keep cool and stay focused. He leaped backwards, quickly getting out of the smokescreen to get a view of the battlefield. - I should have saved Anchor Howl for this moment, then he couldn’t use it for anything! -, Sayinh thought, as he quickly returned to the Healer and Ranged DPS doll, which were standing diagonally to the back left of him. – Now I can at least defend three of them, and if the healer survives, the melee DPS can be revived. -. Sayinh had calmed down a bit again, as his vision became clear again. Not being able to see the Swashbuckler, he kneeled down on his right knee to recover as much health and mana as possible, as quickly as possible.
He looked up, for just a second, to see the sun being at its peak. - I guess it’s already noon, not that it has any effect on the fight itself. It’s too hot, but I can’t de-quip my armor, otherwise I’ll just get taken down… HEY! -. You could almost hear the *ding*, as the Guardian got himself another brilliant idea. - What if I fake a faint? Or at least being unable to move as fast as I would like to. As if I had used up my energy on the previous idea? Yea! I’ll do that! -, he thought. As the smokescreen slowly dissolved, Sayinh looked strict at Actaeon. His eyes were cried out; “You know the thing I was talking about before? That’s applying to right now!”
He looked back at the smokescreen, right before Dumah’s head popped out of the cloud of dust. As Dumah moved again, Sayinh stayed kneeling. - If I can’t fool him, I gotta use his cleverness against him! -, he thought, whilst slightly keeping one eye on Actaeon, ready to help him. He just hopes that Actaeon is ready for this, and keeps his cool. TAG: @dumah , Actaeon WORDS: 485 NOTES: Dumah, I swear, if you keep killing my idea’s I’ll run low at some point.

Actaoen reached up for the bolt handle, pushing it up and quickly pulling it back. As the bolt passes the loading platform, the bullet casing ejects, making a slight ping as it hits the stone beneath. He slid a bullet into the loading platform and pushes the bolt back into place before realigning his rifle on Dumah and Sayinh. He watched as the two danced about, preventing him from getting a clear shot on Dumah. The rising dust caused him to lean back and look at the ground to see what Sayinh was planning as the motions seemed to unnatural and planned. S-H-O-O- Suddenly three bursts of wind kicked up more dust, erasing the message Sayinh was writing on the arena floor. Actaeon lowered his rifle as Dumah began to speak to Sayinh and himself, stating that he was impressed with his students.
That skill of his that allows his swords to act on their own could be problematic. As Dumah finished his speech and grabbed his sword a large dust storm kicked up and covered the swashbuckler and guardian. Well S***! There goes my sight line. The least I can do is prepare for the dust to settle. He placed the stock of his rifle into his shoulder and raised the rifle, aiming it at the dust cloud as he activated [Neuroscope Lens]. Two pale blue circles appear in his field of vision, a dark red dot rests in the center of the circles. In the bottom right corner of his vision were the words "No Target Available" in deep red letters, a faint glow around the words flashed on and off slowly. He moved his sight to Sayinh as he yelled something about being ready up at the Warden. He watched as the guardian began to look worn-out and tired, kneeling to the ground as if catching his breath.
Actaeon smiled as Sayinh flashed him a look and brought his rifle back to the dust cloud as it began to clear. He scanned the cloud, looking for any sign of movement. If I were going to kick up a dust storm, what would I do? Moving back would be obvious, same with either side. Serpentine diagonally would be the safest bet. Look for the glint of his blade... although it might be blocked by the dust. He continued scanning, looking for the glint of metal in the sunlight. He was unable to find a glint after scanning for a minute but he remembered seeing a slightly darker patch in the dust. He found the patch again and fired the bullet into the dust, a dull thud could be heard at the arena floor. He quickly pulled the bolt back and ejected the bullet in a soft ping as it landed on the stone next to his last bullet. He removed two bullets from his inventory, putting one between his teeth and one back into the loading platform before locking the bolt back into place.

Dumah had managed to counter their last plan beautifully, but so far he was just on the defensive. If this kept on for too long, it would be considered a victory for them. Dumah knelt down for a second, pressing his thumb against the temple of his forehead as he thought. The dust would not last much longer, he needed to act quickly. 'Actaeon is likely still high up watching for me, waiting for me to come out so he can fire upon me, Sayinh is likely back at the back lines to protect the spell caster and healer...' Dumah drew a mental map of the arena, marking the positions of everyone in the arena and the positions of the dummies. Suddenly, Dumah heard a series of metal pings in the distance thanks to his Hearing Aptitude skill. The Spellsword nodded to himself, correcting his map with the pings correcting Actaeon's position. 'Judging by the pings, he has just reloaded his rifle...' Dumah understood the situation well enough, he simply needed to come up with a way to escape their assault. 'The second I step out of this dust cloud, Actaeon will likely fire on me. I need a way to...' Dumah grinned to himself. 'This should work.' Dumah began to tap at the space in front of him, opening up the user interface and accessing his skills list. As his right hand was tapping away at nothingness, his left hand reached inside his left coat pocket, pulling out a small pebble. He looked at his skills list, tossing the stone up a bit and catching it again repeatedly. He tapped at one of his skills and threw the rock high in the air, above the dust cloud. As his two students looked up at the movement in the air, Dumah covered his eyes, counting up from the moment he tossed the stone. 'One... Two!' As he uttered the number two in his head, the pebble released a blinding flash of light, lasting several seconds. Immediately as the Guardian and Warden found themselves covering their eyes in reaction to the light, Dumah was already on the move. After only a few seconds, Dumah was already up close to Sayinh, his blade aimed at the Guardian's chin. "Blind Bet!" As he uttered the name of his skill, his sword was thrust forth, poking the chin lightly so as not to deal much damage but still deliver its effect. As the Spellsword brought his sword back down to his side, dashing by his white haired student, the Guardian spun around to stop him only to find his vision incredibly blurry. This was the kind of debuff the Swashbuckler class was known for; in this case, an accuracy debuff brought on by the Blind Bet skill. While this would stop the onslaught from the Guardian for a while, it would still leave Dumah under fire from the Warden. That was fine though; tightening the grip of his sword, Dumah approached the healer, pulling his blade to the left and delivering a strong, backhand slash through the wooden dummy. "The Healer is down!"

As Dumahs face popped out of the dust, something flew out, up into the air. Not being able to resist looking, even though he was supposed to fake not being able to move, he followed the object with his eyes, not to make it too obvious. The small object, made it to its peak, before releasing a flashing white light, blinding the guardian completely. After a couple of seconds, the object stopped shining and started to fell back towards the ground. Sayinhs vision was so blurry that even silhouettes were hard to catch a glance of. Sayinh rose, and spun with his shield as he heard Dumah dashing towards him. - Damn it, where is he? -, the Guardian thought. Just as the thought had run through his mind, he felt a small poke around his chin, the tip of a sword maybe? Either way the poke made him fell backwards, onto his butt, still a bit dizzy. “The Healer is down”, was heard behind him. “Whe? How?”, was the only words the Guardian could press through his lips, in astonishment, but also fear. - How’d he? When’d he? What just happened?! -.
After a few deep breaths and some relaxing thoughts, the Guardian slowly calmed down. - So. The healer is down, I got to do something so he doesn’t get any more of them. -. His vision had more or less returned to an acceptable state, of which he could see what he needed to see. - I fight at my best when I’m emotionally involved.. How can I make myself turn on him, fast enough for him not having time to react? -, he used a couple of seconds on thought, even though he already knew it. - Rose. That doll was Rose, and he slayed it. That’s how! -. He concentrated on the horrific pictures he still had somewhere in his memory. Memories of Rose, laying in his arms, on her deathbed. A single tear dropped from Sayinhs cheek, just a microsecond before he acted.
He had checked his surroundings, and marked where Dumah was positioned. He practically jumped upwards, turned and lunged towards the Swashbuckler in front him. He placed a foot behind Dumahs leg, causing him to be uncomfortably close to the Swashbuckler, looking directly into the eyes. They screamed of anger, even though it he had caused it himself. As he moved entirely in on Dumah, he smacked his shield forward, making Dumah trip over the Guardians leg. The Guardian had gotten faster, maybe even twice as fast as before, giving Dumah less time to react, since he had to get used to the new tempo, he fought in. He forced his shield down upon the Swashbuckler, locking him up on the ground. “NOW!”, he yelled towards Actaeon, as the anger spread to even his voice. “It’s NOW or NEVER!”, he yelled once more, as the Swashbuckler started to muffle his way out of the position the Guardian had him pinned in. They gained eye contact, but the Guardian had no other expression than… Anger. TAG: @dumah , Actaeon WORDS: 491 NOTES: I am terribly sorry for the inactivity. But, I think I’m back for real now though :3
