1 Week Since Entering the New World
A single candle’s light blended in with the moonlight trickling from the outside and only one person sat near that light with a book opened in that person’s hands. Looking at the book it was obvious what condition its contents were in as the binding and cover were almost entirely worn away to nothingness from the outside elements that had crept inside the old library hundreds of years ago. Open about a quarter of the way through its contents, Eid the Samurai poured over the worn page that held the information he was seeking. Seeing again this book wasn’t what he was looking for Eid went back to the nearby bookshelf and and turned to the next one to peruse its contents. Going back to the long table where the candle was Eid softly opened the book and flipped through the pages till he reached the real contents of the book and ecstatic to see that he had finally found what he was looking for.
Due to the recent finding of Savill Flower Grove where Eid had finally started to be active and fighting the monsters Eid was doing some research on the nearby monsters, but the Adventurers hadn’t made anything like that yet so Eid was relying on the old books made by the People of the Land. The only problem was that only a little bit of the NPC population had the ability to even take a class, and it seemed that in recent years that number had been dropping even more, so the research that existed was really old and most of the books only talked about how the monsters were immortal in a sense. Sadly though Eid didn’t have the time to study the backstory and lore of the world the Adventurers now fully lived in, instead he was looking for combat information on the monsters as his goal right now was getting stronger. Thankfully this book held just that, a page by page summary of each monster as far as the grove which in the past it seemed had been in the control of the People of the Land people until just a few decades ago.
Looking at the page he was on Eid saw a familiar monster from two days ago when he had his first taste of practice, a Dull Green Slime. Looking at the information that the book contained it seemed that be sheer luck that Eid perhaps choose the best crafting sub-class to fight these things, the Alchemist sub-class. This fact was due to the beginning skill you obtained as an Alchemist, Transmutation, which made your attacks due ten percent more damage to Artificial Life creatures like the Dull Green Slime. Going through the information Eid noted that Dull Green Slimes could appear in level anywhere from one to five, were also an Amorphous type creatures, their Monster Rank is Normal, had a Curious Nature, were found in fields and forests, they had no Resistances or Weaknesses, and had a single skill that was a Passive Skill. The skill was called Mana Attraction which made the slime aggro onto anybody that was using a magic-based skill. Reading the description of the monster it seemed that for no known reason whatsoever the slimes had turned from a regular shade of green to the dull shade the were their namesake.
