It was weird fighting by myself, compared to fighting with Isa, when I was with her I had to compensate for her abilities as well as mine, so whereas with her I would need to use my agro spell as well using her abilities to my advantage, but now that I was on my own it was honestly a lot different and harder. By myself I had to be even stealthier as well as watching my health as I didn’t have a healer to backup me, and no bind as well. Essentially I had to watch myself much more than when I was with her, but it was also more fun because of the challenge and stealth involved in my play. Even right now I was following a group a monsters hoping them to split off in groups.
They were simple slimes and sitting at level 8 they were two levels below myself, But there was 6 that I could see which could be problematic at the time and so I didn’t need to attack them all, and I could wait until they split up or did something else to give me an advantage, I had been following them for about 10 minutes now so I had no idea when the time would come that I could strike.
I ran branch to branch with my hiding entry skill, even though I’ve already had to recast it once, after a couple more minutes however they split, 4 to the right and 2 left. Being able to take out once instantly and another easily the 2 would be too easy so I followed the right, and ran in front of the group until I saw a branch that branched out over the path they were on, and I crouched on the branch to wait and started my death stinger spell to coat my sword in poison. The slimes were fairly slow so I had to wait until the first went under me to start casting my spell, fatal ambush, I focused on the last of the group, finding a weak point in the slimes eyes and as my skill finished I dropped on to the last slime, the critical and momentum from the fall allowing me to immediately kill the slime, it disappearing into thin air as I spun to the next slashing it once and stabbing it again, leaving it low as my poison ticked at its remaining health. The three slimes attempted an attack, two of which shooting out arms in an attempt to grab me, but I jumped to the right avoiding the hits while slashing at one of the arms initiating a poison effect before casting my spell hide walk. I barely had any time but as I started it, the second slime I had attack disappeared, dead from the poison, and the other affected one at 75% from the hit and ot damage. I used my advantage of invisibility to sneak up and strike the slime from its back, hitting the eye my sword going straight through as it disappeared like the last two, the final slime was a simple kill in which I casted shadow bind, immobilizing it and killing it in three quick slashes to the body.
The fight was not much of a problem, and I went to sheathe my sword, and turn around. As I looked up to sigh I saw something though, and I rolled backwards to avoid what seemed to be two briar weasels both level ten equalizing to my level. But I didn’t have my normal advantage, I only had my two invisible skills available, hide walk to be used and I needed a plan. I quickly used hide walk and ran into the forest out of the path, and then used hiding entry to disappear.
Now I had an advantage again, a fairly simple plan and an easy one to execute. I climbed a tree again, sadly my fatal ambush skill was not up, but I could run with this skill on but that was no fun, and so I jumped from the tree, stabbing the weasel in the neck doing 40% of its health as the poison began to tick, I slashed the other as well to tick it before jumping back as they turned and struck with their whip like tails, sidestepped to the right however forgot that the tails could change directions mid attack as they both did so I block one with my sword as the other struck me in my gut, and I saw my health deplete by 20% a solid attack that hurt but not intensely.
I charged the two weasels using my bind that had just reset on cd on the one that had more health too attack the weasel that had ticked to 40% percent, dodging the up close whip attack and slashing the weasel twice, killing it before facing its brother who I slashed once before it was unbinded and was able to retaliate quicker than I thought, striking me in the chest sending me back a meter before I recovered at 63% health with another tail heading towards me, I slashed at the tail making it retract as I charged in finishing it off with a strike to the head killing it instantly.
