The past month as been quite full of surprises for the young Viivi as she has been moving a lot and met quite a number of new people. With the reason behind so many changes being that her old job and home has fallen into ruins with an increasing amount of bad luck with the recent years. Since the girl had nowhere to go on her own, she followed the advice of an old man near the manor she used to work and headed toward Lune Seaport, the main city of the People of the Land. She thought that it would be the best place to figure out what to do next in her life as she was basically left with nothing to do without a master to serve. With her years working as a maid for a lord, it was an habit, if not a lifestyle to serve someone and being free like she was right now, although pleasing, was leaving her with a slight uneasiness only explained by the unfamiliarity of the situation.
It didn't took the Foxtail very long to reach Lune Seaport from where she used to live as with some luck she was able to meet a caravan of Adventurers that were heading there and gladly offered her to join them for the ride. Becoming a travel companion to those warriors, even if was for a very short time, Viivi was able to learn a lot about how Adventurers lived and saw the world in which they were. They seemed to see it in a very different light that she was, which wasn't surprising to her. They were immortal after all, so they didn't have to fear death like People of the Land do, which was the ultimate form of freedom and yet, the most abominable curse of them all. How can you say that you truly live if you can't truly die? It was a question that always lingered in Viivi's mind and it was normal she believed. When she talked about it to those Adventurers they understood her perfectly, as they thought the same. She was given at that moment a lesson by those people that not dying wasn't normal for them in a way as from where they came, dying had the same result than for People of the Land and that this world gave them the power to come back from life. It took a while for the Foxtail to understand it, that the Adventurers came from a different world in which death was the end. She was always told that Adventurers could never die, so this knowledge was quite heavy in a way.
The Adventurers made an offer to Viivi the day they all arrived at Lune Seaport. They were here for a quest that involved killing monsters in this region and get the materials from them back to Londinium, so they offered her to join them for the travel back so she could learn more about the Adventurers from them directly in the main town they all live in. Of course the girl was going to accept as they only made her more curious to learn more, and what better place than where all the Adventurers came from. Although they gladly agreed to bring Viivi along with them, the group would be busy with their quest for quite a time, so one of the Clerics that was part of the expedition offered to train the Foxgirl, thinking that her quest to learn more about the Adventurers would bring her along on a path full of adventures. Training her to become a Cleric was a safe bet if she wanted to survive, having only one life.
Viivi was mentored by this Cleric, learning he ropes of being a healer, being part of a group and how fights with monsters were handled. After a week or so of training along not only the Cleric, but the rest of the group as well, their quest was ready to turn in so they prepared themselves for their return to Londinium. Everything was different than when they all first met on their way to Lune Seaport. Viivi has gain the powers of a Cleric, which was something she thought was really useful and match her perfectly. She was never one to fight, more the kind to help others in need whatever the situation, so being a healer was the best option. The most important thing though, was that she learned more about Adventurers and she hoped that they learned from her as well.
After a few days, they made their way into Londinium where Adventurers gathered in mass. There, Viivi and the group went each their own way, not without thanks and good wishes for the future and hopes to meet again. The girl was now left to herself, in a town in which she knew no one and that she had no idea what to do next. "Great, now what do I do from here? I should have thought this through before embarking in this journey... think girl think, what can you do right now? Who could you consult for help?" Viivi was standing there talking to herself, probably in the middle of the way without noticing it or anyone that could possibly bump into her by accident. "I need to find someone that can help me, but who to ask?" The girl began to walk, roaming aimlessly across the streets of the city, stopping by shops and inns to get information. The only thing she got though were to either find a guild that could help or go ask elsewhere. Not sure that she would find the help she needed in a guild, she continued to explore the town while seeking anything that could lead her to an answer. Viivi took a deep breath after a while before sighing. "I think at the point where I am I could ask a fortuneteller to help me... When searching yourself doesn't work, why not ask the spirits or something. At this point I'm good with anything really, as long as I can find where to go and what to do, I'm fine learning about it in any way required... but where could I find a fortuneteller then?"
