••Glacis Rainmaker•• Today was a day. Today was most certainly a day much like yesterday was and tomorrow will be. However, today was a special day. Today was the day that Glacis would enact the next phase of her master plan to become Elder Tale's most prominent fashion design tycoon. Two whole years had been wasted in shock and sorrow, and a few weeks had been building the novice tailor up with inspiration and muse, enough to send Glacis off to glory with a running start. Today was the day that Glacis would pick up her needle for the first time since the catastrophe, and sew her way into the fabric of victory! So... what to make? Glacis looked through the menu at the items she COULD make, which was decently long, but could be much longer. Also, as this was her first time making anything within the game world, despite her real life tailoring knowledge, she would no doubt only be able to make level one items. How frustrating. This would not be the work of a pro designer in the slightest. It's fine Rani, she thought to herself, Practice makes perfect. Well, practice does indeed make perfect but to practice what one had already perfected was more than a bit irksome. Glacis shook her head, setting her grievances aside. It would be fine. It would all work out fine in the end, this was no time to get discouraged. The day had only just begun, after all. So what to make, what to make... The tailor scrolled through the menu, moving the bar up and down until something caught her eye: The word "Plushie". Here we go. It was something simple and it was something that Glacis wouldn't mind having a bunch of. While it wasn't the type of thing she would want to sell later down the road, this was only for practice and experience. "Okay then," She said out loud to herself from the privacy of her room at the inn, "A plushie it is."
But what kind of plushie would she make? A plush encompasses a lot of things. She could literally make anything. Hmmmmm.... It should be something I like..... something that i could make quick and easy..... Man, I am in need of a snack. Her mind switched its train of thought as she opened her inventory. "Ah, I'm out of food. I could really go for a cookie........ right about now..... Huh. That could work." She looked around the room for a piece of scrap paper and a pen, and scribbled words on the page. "Cookie Plush," it said. But what kind of cookie? Well, the best way to make that sort of decision was to do some research. "TO THE BAKERY!" Glacis shouted, caring not for the neighbors that surely heard her. The shaman tailor walked out with determination and made her way toward the nearest bakery. Londinium was a big place, so there were quite a few scattered around. Perfect places to get a tasty bit of inspiration. ••Words•• Post: 506

••Glacis Rainmaker•• Today Glacis was still dressed in her starter gear. This was something that was bothering her and had continued to bother her for some time now, not being able to change into new clothes without walking around in her underwear, which would not be fun for anyone, least of all herself. Of course, the lack of wardrobe was not bothersome enough to deter her from her own pride, which stopped her from wearing anything that she had not made. This was not something that she would have done normally back in the old world, but this time around things were more accessible. As much as it bothered her, wearing different clothes every day was not a societal need, so she could afford to hold off on buying clothes. In fact, she would have more money this way to buy materials for her own clothes. However, she refused to make her own clothes if her level was going to be stuck at... low. This is why she wanted to make the plush now, so that she could make her clothes better later. She didn't want to make a design, love the design, create the clothes with the design, only to have it be level one and useless to all. It would be such a waste. So Plushie now, Masterful fabric art later. In any case she made her way to the first and closest bakery she could think of, thinking back to when she wandered the streets, and all of the landmarks she had discovered all along the way. Okay it's a left here, down a couple blocks..... then a right? She walked to the intersection in question and looked both ways. Yeah..... right looks, well, right. She walked along the familiar path until she was close enough to get by on just her nose and nothing else. The aroma of the freshly baked pastries and cakes had Glacis almost drooling, and when she reached the quaint little stone bakery building the scent was almost comically visible. Something out of a cartoon. The building was one story tall and at the corner of the intersection it stood next to. It had many tasty treats in the window display, all freshly made that morning. Through the window Glacis could see the shopkeeper at the counter, talking with a customer. Outside there were two round tables with shade umbrellas, one of which was occupied by an elderly couple. It was a scene taken right from an art gallery. As Glacis entered the bakery, She stepped around the aforementioned and now leaving customer. "Anything I can help you with?" A soft voice came from the clerk, who looked ironically confident despite her low voice. With a smile Glacis held up her hand and shook her head. "I'm fine, I'm just gonna look around for a bit."
"Alright, let me know if something looks good." The shaman squatted down to look at the cookies on display. "Will do, thanks." The display looked fantastic. so many traditional and non traditional cookies, but which one did Glacis want to make? She felt like she should go traditional, since an already unconventional plush made in the image of an unconventional cookie might not have read well to someone who didn't know what it was. A sugar cookie was boring, and a chocolate chip cookie seemed too easy. "Oh!" She said, accidentally out loud. Her idea caused the shopkeeper to look at her with a strange look. "Oh, sorry, i mean, Could I have a couple of those snickerdoodles?" "Sure." She took out the tray of cinnamon cookies and placed two of them in a bag. "Here you go." "Thanks!" Glacis gladly took the bag and left the bakery with a bounce in her step. Step one complete. Okay... Now to get some materials before these cookies get cold. Anticipating this day, Glacis had taken notes of every vendor she saw selling fabric, and it just so happened that there was one on the way back to the inn, in a stroke of pure convenience. So retracing her steps, she made her way back from where she came, stopping to by some fabric. Fuzzy fabric in different shades of brown, a lighter brown and a darker brown that had a shimmer to it. A golden brown cookie with a wonderful cinnamon swirl. Glacis' stomach growled just thinking about it, and the cookie smell wafting from the bag in her hand certainly did not help in the slightest. While she was at the shop, she also bought some cotton to stuff her creation with. It would be a small plush, but a plush all the same, assuming she could do it right. Hopefully, her real life knowledge of fabric and sewing would not fail her for something so simple as this. As she returned to her room at the inn, she shut the door behind her and got right to work. For picking Tailor as her subclass, she had entered this world with a beginner's tailoring kit in her inventory. Today was the day she would finally get to use it for once. It was a long time coming. Opening her menu, she pulled the kit out and opened it. Pins, needles, thread, etc. every tool she needed was here, she just had to provide the materials. Alright, here we go. Project number one. She went into work mode, the time flying like a montage as she drew the design and cut the patterns, only to sew it all together for the finished product, taking happy bites of her delicious REAL cookie as she worked on the plush one. It took all day, but finally she was all done. She held up her creation, inspecting her work. It was rather small, and pretty cheaply made, no matter how hard Glacis had tried. It was rather tiny, and the fabric looked like it could tear away at any moment. Though she was proud of it, sure. It was her very first item as a Tailor. It was a level one item, but it was still her first, and she had leveled up with it. So now she could make it again but better, and she certainly intended to do better. -exit- ••Words•• Post: 1039
