~Maysprout [attr="class","socinfo"]@solo ● 509 ●& Time to get Comfy~Blankets; [attr="class","soccatn"]Tailoring. [attr="class","socline2"] [attr="class","socbodt"]Maysprout sat against a tree near an alley way as she was resting after all her hard work. She sat there looking at the sky thinking to herself, why must life be soooo hard! She closed her eyes as the breeze past by her, her ears and hair flowing with the breeze as she sat there smiling. "Better start my tailoring, I need to get that leveled". She rose from her seat realizing she would need to visit the market to search for materials. The suns ray made through the cracks of the old buildings as she stretched her legs. She stuck a finger under the collar of her leather armor, trying to adjust it. She moved her feet side to side, as they were in her starter leather shoes. She raised her arms and stood on her tip toes, stretching before she began her walk to the stalls. Maysprout had accumulated some gold, as pay from all the previous cleaning she had done. She skipped through the streets of town with a new sparkling sensation appearing on her eyes. I can buy things now, I can afford to live luxuriously! She had thought to herself a smirk appearing on her face. She scanned the stalls, a sudden light bulb appearing above her head, metaphorically of course. She needed to progress her tailoring skills, she needed to be able to sew better equipment for herself, as she knew this armor wouldn’t be so good later on. Maysprout continued to think to herself.. She knew she could buy some new materials with her new found money and rushed to the market stalls. She would have walked a little longer, before finding the stall she wanted. She walked up the fabric stall which contained materials she could be able to use for tailoring. She would slide open her menu, pressing on the recipes for her crafting subclass. “I can only make a plushie, or a blanket? I guess the blankets what I should go with”. She chose this as she considered her current living non-normal living conditions, it was as if she was homeless, and she could not deal with living like that, so she came to the resolution to change. Maysprout examined the fabrics that laid before her, before finding her eyes stuck on a sunset orange colored fabric with different types of flowers all over. The merchant had seen her eyes stuck onto the fabric and began running his mouth. “This is a very unique fabric ordered from a far off land, I’ll sell it to you for only 5 gold, and I’ll toss in some thread and a basic needle” The merchant had tried to struck a deal with her, which she found nice on her part. Sure, five gold is a good price. She took out the proper amount of gold placing it on the table as she got a bag to carry the materials she just purchased. Turning around she would wonder aloud “W-wait.. Where am I going to work?” She pondered to herself speaking aloud. ••Glacis Rainmaker•• Another day another dollar spent. Perhaps if Glacis had a more steady source of income, she would be able to leave that last word out of the saying, but for now it remained. Besides, "Steady Income" was pretty hard to find these days, since most people just got gold from fighting mobs. It was a way that worked, absolutely, but mostly for the more combat focused players, which Glacis most certainly was not. She of course planned to instead make and sell clothing, but that was going to be sometime in the future when she could get her Company off of the ground. For now she was stuck with practice, though such practice had been paying off for sure. The young Tailor had watched her levels grow quite quickly over the past month and she was pretty proud of herself for it. Of course, the things she had made thus far were not exactly of the best quality, but you know. Practice and what not. The one word that she had been telling her self over and over for just over a week now. Practice makes perfect, practice makes perfect, who cared about any old world experience? This world sure didn't, Throwing Glacis at the mercy of the crafting system, even if she was the one manually doing the crafting. It would be one thing if she were crafting things through the menu. She didn't even know if doing it that way would make anything better or worse, nor did she intend to find out. Sewing by hand just felt better. More natural. The woman would even go as far as to say it was a therapeutic experience for her, Both in the old world and here in Elder Tale, so at least that was not lost in the data. Thinking about it that way, she only minded the lack of quality a little bit. So what was on the agenda today? All Glacis knew is that she wanted to work on Tailoring some more. It WAS her most important class after all. Of course, maybe hat made her strange, putting her crafting class above her main class, and even her fortune teller class, both of which are much more useful than Tailoring when out in the wild wild world of Elder Tale. Still, Glacis was ripped from the old world before she could achieve her fashion designer dreams, and she refused to let the same thing happen here. Therefore, the Tailor skill was top priority today, and so today she would make...... something. Something fit for practice, probably. Something like... a blanket! Again! It worked out okay last time, it should work out fine now. Better even, Glacis' level had gone up since the last time she had attempted. And attempted she had. Her last blanket was already worn out despite the fact that it was not even that long ago that she had made it. Another one was definitely in order, and now seemed like as good a time as any to craft one. Glacis left the inn to head to her favorite place to buy Materials. She had gotten great service in the past, and now she was not expecting any less. Her favorite part of going was stepping through the front entryway, every time. It was like stepping through a magical gate leading right into a fabric wonderland. So many different Patterns and textures, it excited the young brunette woman whenever she came over. Just thinking about all the ways in which such fabric could become wonderful pieces of art made Glacis all warm and fuzzy inside. Oh yeah, this was going to be a good day. She walked in and slapped a preemptive payment onto the counter in front of the clerk. "25 gold?" The said store clerk asked, a tone of fake astonishment at Glacis' higher than normal price. "Someone's moving up in the world." Glacis laughed as she began to look through the fabrics. "Heh. Yeah, well, I'm confident at least." She needed a material that really popped out at her. Something simple but eye catching. What to piiiiiiiiiiiick? She whined within the confines of her mind. So much to choose from, what do I wa--- "Oh hello~~" Her thoughts became vocal and sing song. She had noticed a soft material, colored a bright and vibrant blue that slowly became purple as the eye traveled downward. Glacis was a sucker for gradients. They were always so pretty, and it was interesting how any two colors could blend together as well as they always did. Better yet, it was of her target quality. It was what one could probably refer to as absolute perfection. Possibly just luck. Either way, Glacis was calling it "Mine". It seemed like a good title to have, if she did say so herself. She took the roll of fabric and happily took it back to the counter to get it cut into a piece worth 25 gold, a slight bounce in every step. Of course, when she got to the counter she had to wait for a bit as someone else had gotten there first. Ah well, stuff happens. The girl in front of her seemed new to the establishment, or at least Glacis had never seen her there before, and Glacis liked to poke around the place a LOT. As she finished her transaction, the unidentified girl suddenly seemed distressed, asking out loud to her self about where she wanted to work on what Glacis assumed to be her craft. The Shaman girl decided to step in. "Hey, if you want you can come over to my place. Or rather, my room at a nearby Inn." Glacis gave her offer as she handed her own fabric to the shopkeeper. As the clerk cut Glacis' piece off of the roll, Glacis extended her hand to the unidentified girl with a warm smile. "My name is Glacis Rainmaker. I was just going to head back to work on this blanket if you want to join me." Whether or not the girl chose to follow, As soon as she got her fabric material, she would begin to head back to the Inn, possibly with a new friend. ••Words•• Post: 1036

[attr="class","socline2"] [attr="class","socbodt"]Maysprout had been focused on trying to find a good place to do her work. She thought to herself, there are plenty of abandoned buildings, oh wait no light there. Maybe the park.. no too busy my work would be ruined by an surrounding ignorant person that lost one to many screws and would fall over my hard worked precious work. The clothes store?.. My work would be ruined by the jaunty unnatural disgusting clothes that reeked of desperation, what did they think we were tasteless?. There must be somewhere better she thought to herself, her brain examining each one of her options carefully to make sure she had the benefit of a good working space aside her. Maysprout twisted her body as she heard the girls voice behind herself. A sweet gentle smile forming upon her lips upon hearing what the girl had just said. "That is amazing, thank you so much, and well it doesn't matter if it is a room at the inn, its better than my current situation" She said cheerfully speaking sort of fast as she was excited. She followed the girls gesture extending her right hand forwards to greet her hand in a handshake. Her grip with the girls hand could only be describe as soft, as she wasn't much of the pointless hurting type as so many others were. She let go of the girls hand before continuing to speak. "Glacis huh? Intriguing name I've never heard of it before" She smiled once again before continuing "I'm Maysprout, some find the name long and just call me May" She nodded as she finished. Her tail was raised happily the fur on her tail obviously well kept and cleaned and her ears tilted forwards as she opened her mouth to speak. "I was also working on a blanket, I guess we could work on it together at your place". She swayed her body to the side, showing her bright cherry read bag with its sunset orange fabric with flowers all over. "I guess this makes it obvious I choose the druid class". She says as she followed the girl on her way to the inn, skipping every so often as she was happy that she could make her first tailor craft, after her previously failed lemonade turned into water experiment. She busted through the doors of the inn for the first time, the smile on her face disappearing as she glanced around the room noticing how abnormally unclean it was. It was hard for her to contain herself as her housekeeper instincts were kicking in, and she tried her hardest to contain her irregular self. She spent some more time looking around, before realizing Glacis had already continued up the stairs and so ran up after her. Following the girl as they would enter her room at the in, unsure of what to do next so she waited for Glacis to show her what to do, as she hoped Glacis had some experience in tailoring. ••Glacis Rainmaker•• The shaman's workplace offer was accepted, though honestly she sort of expected it would be. If the girl was that concerned about where to go in order to hone her craft, it wouldn't be very wise to pass up a perfectly fine place to go handed to her on a silver platter. Glacis of all people knew of the importance of a proper workplace, a quiet place to relax and sew, and though the inn room was not her ideal set up, her goal being to get her own office to work in, it was still better than nothing for sure. The girl introduced herself as Maysprout and also offered up her nickname as May. However, Glacis would probably continue to call her by her full username. The young woman tended to prefer two syllables in a name or nickname, it had a certain Rhythm to it. Rolled off the tongue better. Of course, it could have just been a strange bias she had, considering her own names; Glacis in this world and Rani in the old one. In any case, Maysprout was about the same size as Glacis, though it was clear that she was younger. She was a long haired brunette who seemed to have chosen Fox tail as her class. Glacis had often wondered how the non human adventurers felt about the Apocalypse. She herself had chosen to remain a human, but what was it like for those not human anymore? Especially for those who had chosen Werecat for their race, and suddenly had become anthropomorphic cats against their will. It was certainly a question to ask someone one day, and maybe she would ask Maysprout some time, but for now the fox tail girl would be another face and name to add to Glacis' mental affinity chart. As it turned out, both of the girls intended to create the same thing, that being the blankets. It was revealed to Glacis as Maysprout agreed to follow her back to the inn. On the way the other girl also explained how her choice in fabric might have revealed her class' identity as Druid, though the Shaman did not really think that at all. She liked floral patterns as well, as long as they were used right. "Well, nice to meet you Maysprout. It's good to meet another support character. As for myself I chose to be a shaman. I may not heal very well but I'm pretty okay at protecting my party from damage. Heh, barriers for days." She chuckled to herself. "Of course it's also nice to meet another Tailor. I feel like crafting with a buddy would be a great way to gain some experience. The useful kind that is, not the game points kind." It would not take too long to get to the inn, as it was pretty nearby. the older Tailor held the door open for Maysprout as they entered the building, and again as they entered the room. "Welcome to my humble, yet temporary abode." It was clear that Room Service had already made their sweep, as the bed had been made and towels put away in the time it took for Glacis to go buy some materials and back. Throwing her fabric upon the bed, Glacis looked to Maysprout with an excited smile. "So? Shall we get to work?"••Words•• Post: 558
