Evelyn opened her golden eyes, blinking at the sudden appearance of bright light, shining right in her eyes. "Uh... Where am I?" Evelyn mumbled confusedly to herself. Try to recall, Evelyn. Try to recall what were you doing a minute ago. You were at home, playing a game. It just finished updating and you created your character, right? Evelyn thought to herself as she tried to find out what happened, raising one hand to protect her eyes from the sun. Her palm was protected by glove made of light metal. She felt the warmth of the sun on her face, the light breeze in her blonde hair, in the fur on her ears and tail. Wait a moment... tail and ears? Fur? Her golden eyes blinked confusedly. There was no doubt that this was the game she was going to play. Elder Tale. Evelyn frowned lightly. She heard about VR games being developed, but logically, that would require some much more advanced device than her computer. The fox ears on her head twitched lightly as she heard the confused people around her, saying panicked things about the game. Yes. This definitely is the world of Elder Tales. Evelyn was sure about that now. And if she was stuck in the game she had to figure out as much as soon as possible. And head away from the city centre. Bumping into confused people would be the last thing she wanted. Slowly the Fox Tail girl which Evelyn became turned around, heading outside of the London city centre.

Soon enough Evelyn got into one of the numerous parks in the London city, sitting down on a large stone besides a small pond. "Well, let's see." She made a small gesture in front of her to summon the interface, like she saw several adventurer's do. She tapped the menu and went for an usual attempt to logout. "Hmpf. As expected." She mumbled to herself before checking her equipment. "Starter platemail, starter crossbow, starter Katana. That makes sense." She mumbled to herself as she looked over her equipment, the crossbow on her back, Katana at her side. "Seems I have everything. I'll check out how the skills work later." She mumbled to herself as she stretched her limbs and tail, triggering rattle of her armour. "Well, let's take a walk around before I will head out to find out more about this world." She mumbled to herself as she stood up on the large stone, adjusting her equipment lightly. And I need to get something to hide those ears and tail as soon as possible. She thought to herself as she jumped off it. Her starter character seemed to be actually less fit than her original body, causing her to stumble lightly. Hmpf. Another thing I will need to get used to. The thought rumbled through her mind. Slowly she continued to walk through the park, looking around casually. On the way she encountered few people of the land. Originally they were supposed to be the NPCs in the game. But now they seemed to be... more alive than the adventurers themselves. Simply said... the world was alive now. This change could have been rather disturbing for them as well.
After a while Evelyn got into a more busy market area, heading over to a bookstore. Luckily enough she managed to get a small leather-bound empty diary they had no use for and basic supplies for writing. She took the small diary in her hand and headed back to the nearby park, over to the pond she visited before. Sitting onto the boulder again, she opened the small diary, staring to write in it.

I don't know what happened, but this is an entirely new world for me. I don't know how I got here, or why I am here, but I will try to figure it out as soon as possible. I am not the only one. I guess that there would easily be more than 100 000 people like that. The city of London is huge. The half-Gaia project could be quite a difficulty now. I need to figure out more.
Note 1: The people of land seem to be more alive than the adventurers are. They are people like one would expect. History, behaviour, memories. I am a bit envious.
Evelyn finished writing on the first page. This is ridiculous. The first thing I do is writing this kind of note. Evelyn thought critically to herself. Either way I need to find out more, one way or another. I didn't know the game, and I don't know this new world either.

The suns harsh rays beamed down on Kaylan as he held his hand over his eyes. S...Sunlight? I thought I was at my computer... He got up and looked around at his surroundings, seeing a lot of other Adventurers in mental states worse than his own. "It cant be... Can it? Is this the Elder Tale's world?" He contemplated aloud. Kaylan watched as the other Adventurers moved their hands about and accidentally opened his status screen by mimicking them. "This must be the... status screen." He checked his inventory. The normal starter equipment. Kaylan starts to wander around the city and look at the NPCs. "Huh... These People of the Land are cool. Its like they're all different somehow, than the 'All NPCs look the same' routine." He hadn't really thought about why he was here, but didn't really mind. His thirst for adventure was calling him, but he wanted to make sure he was mentally prepared to venture outside the city. "I need to think about what to do next, but I have to hurry... I don't really have any gold to spend." He saw a pond come into view and decided to take a seat near it.

The blonde fox tail blinked as she heard footsteps, the fox ears on her head twitching lightly, tail shifting from side to side. Well, I might as well try out my skills. Evelyn thought as she slowly she crouched on top of the boulder she was sitting on. Despite the light metal armour she was wearing she didn't make even a sound, instead of the normal clanking of metal, taking advantage of her [Stealth] skill, benefit of her Tracker subclass. Silently she crouched over to the edge of the boulder, jumped off its edge, the wind playing around with her hair and fur before she disappeared, appearing besides the unknown adventurer, some apricot petals being left behind where she was standing before, being carried away by the wind as the light apricot smell filled the air. She used the Shaman class skill. [Leaping Apricot Technique] to bring her to her target. Evelyn reappeared besides the adventurer silently. "Who are you...?" She asked calmly, one hand resting on the handle of her <starter katana>, other still holding the leather bound notebook, her golden eyes eyeing him up and down curiously. Calmly, she closed the notebook before returning it in her inventory, waiting for an answer from the unknown intruder. Slowly, the apricot flower petals were carried past the two adventurers, falling into the pond, floating on the surface with light circles breaking the otherwise perfect water surface, small waves running across it. "Yee don't seem to be a person of the land, which would mean that yee are an adventurer. But despite that, yee don't seem even nearly as disturbed as the other adventurer fellas in the city." Evelyn said quietly as she stared into the eyes of the brown haired intruder. "Who are you...?" Evelyn said, the wind rising slightly as if to add a mysterious tone to her words. Kaylan was surprised, and somewhat alarmed to see the new confused face in front of him and fell back, laying before the Fox Tail. His attention goes to the tail that is stuck to her backside. A...A tail? This game does have that though, not surprising though, it is kinda cool seeing one, and up close too. He then looks at her golden eyes as he stands, confronting the assaulter face to face. "Well... Since you were here first, I think, I'll answer your.... Inquires? I think that's the word. Anyway, I'm Kaylan. My main class is Assassin, and my subclass is Tracker. I only came to this pond because I thought no one was around, but you're here, and I'm kinda glad about that. You don't seem to be that fazed by this either you know... Some people just sit there doing nothing... I'm trying to psyche myself up to head outside the city." Kaylan takes a good look at her. Is she starting too? Her armor makes her looks like it... Kaylan decides to play it safe and hold out his hand, as he thinks he already screwed up his introduction to the first person he has held a conversation with...Word Count: 203

Evelyn noticed the glances towards her rear and her tail, a faint blush appearing on her face. Damn, I need to get something to hide it soon. She thought to herself. She calmed down instantly as the brown haired adventurer in front of her looked in her golden eyes, the golden eyes returning the stare. Evelyn silently listened to the person in front of her. For the love of Lord... Why is he doddering around instead of saying it right away? This is going to go arseways... Evelyn thought with a light sigh, wishing to hide her fox features. "Well... I am indeed very Inquisitive. Maybe that's why I wanted yee to answer my... Inquires. The pond doesn't belong to anyone, so I don't mind yee coming here. And as for my class... you could say that I am Inquisitor. I don't know what is happening around us, so I would like to keep that kind of information to myself." Evelyn said simply. "The name is Evelyn van Karsten, from county Kildare. It is... nice to meet someone who isn't panicking. I have the feeling that others will waste ages before they will move... They're gone in the head. The first they should do is gathering information... They should just pull their socks up and go." Evelyn mumbled slightly angrily, venting herself during their talk, letting some slang terms fill her speech, crossing her arms on her chest as her tail started swinging from side to side nervously . "So, Kaylan, what do you know so far? I can tell this is the world of Elder Tale. And that all the players around are on level one. Aside from the fact that People of Land are more alive than they are, and that logout doesn't work, it seems rather okay. Did you find out anything else?" Evelyn summarised as she looked with her golden eyes on Kaylan, her fox ears twitching lightly as if to add to how serious she is, the tail stopping to swing from side to side as she looked on Kaylan.
