"So what can you tell me about a guy named Ciriodhul?" In the middle of the pitch black night echoed a hushed conversation. While most would conduct business out in the open for any to bear witness to, one often had to stay out of the public eye when their primary concern was remaining unseen, as tangible as a specter. Such was the case with this beautiful elven woman with long hair the color of autumn itself, a red cloak shrouding the majority of her slender frame.
"Not too much..." Replied a short girl of no more than fourteen years of age. She leaned back against the stone walls of the secluded back alley the two were hidden away in. She bounced casually, quite akin to how one would bounce back and forth leaning in a chair. "I mean, I've just been sooo exhausted lately... I mean, you know. I haven't really heard much recently, nobody has been talking... Though, you know what they say: Money talks." She looked up at the 163 centimeter woman, smirking in response to the displeased glare.
"You can't be serious, Warnken..." Zyoto was clearly not very inclined to pay the price for the girl's information. It felt odd, really, being so easily prodded and poked by someone both younger than herself, and someone so small she could likely take them in a fight. Of course, this was not the real world, this was Elder Tale. A particularly skilled infant would slaughter a grown man if that child were somehow high enough in level. The child's only response was a playful mockery, sticking out her tongue. The elf sighed, groaning as she reached into her back pocket. "Fine..." She muttered something under her breath. "Lousy, rotten little- What's with all you kids turning into thieves and rogues...?" She pulled some gold coins out of her coin pouch, handing it to the kid.
The half-alv held the coins in her palm, counting the coins. "Ten, twenty, thirty..." She started to mouth the numbers instead, only saying the last word out loud. "One hundred. A pleasure doing business with you~!" Zyoto grumbled in response, clearly not happy that she may struggle to feed herself until her next quest or job. "Oh, and for your information, I have Hearing Aptitude. We kids turned into thieves because we were already Assassins and our small bodies help with maneuverability." She smiled, pocketing the payment before crossing her arms a bit. "Anyways, what do you wanna know about Ciriodhul?" Silence followed her question; a silence which, oddly enough, answered her question for her. "Anything I take it? That's your usual answer." She scratched her head a bit, more so scratching the hood her child-sized head was covered by. "Anyways... He got some new gear lately. He seems to have switched his build from a Paladin to a Priest." She shrugged, smirking a bit. "To be quite honest, I couldn't even tell what the dude was originally! He had a Paladin's wardrobe but a Priest's weapon."
Zyoto nodded to herself, standing back against another wall, looking out into nothingness as to avoid looking at the kid and raising any possible suspicion. "Any other news?" She crossed her own arms, looking a good deal more cool than the kid did. Perhaps it was due in part to their appearances; while the kid did not look silly, she looked cute. Likewise, Zyoto looked more intimidating due to her age and size, as well as alluring thanks to her beauty.
"Hmm..." Warnken scratched her hood a bit more. "There was something... Eh... Ah! I remember now!" She snapped her fingers in revelation. "It seems he's joined a guild lately." She smirked, knowing how her elven patron would react to this news.
Zyoto's ears twitched a bit at the information of Ciriodhul having joined a guild. "He has joined a guild? Which one?" Warnken only gave her a grin, abstaining from answering verbally. Her smirk spoke volumes though: 'Are you kidding? Come on now, Zyo, you know what guild he joined. Do you really need to ask?' Zyoto sighed. "Noihara..."
"Bingo! Thanks for playing, love!" Zyoto sighed, turning towards the exit of the little meeting spot and taking her first step. "Ah, hold up a second." The elf turned around, an eyebrow raised. This was somewhat unlike Warnken... "I don't like giving my info out for free, you know that, but I feel the need to tell you something." She pointed at the elf's crimson cloak. "You might want to quit wearing that. People have started to spread a rumor about you being some hero; it started spreading right after you saved that Lander right outside the gate from those bandits." She smirked, laughing a bit. "Those bandits really were idiots... Anyways, folks have started calling you the Red Whirlwind, and some even think you're part of some event. Like a modern day Robin Hood or something..."
Zyoto looked down at her cloak, sighing in a bit of remorse. "Thanks, Warnken..." She whimpered, hesitating to take it off. She did not want to attract attention, but if she did take the cloak off, Dumah would be able to spot her from a mile away... "I'll just have to deal with it... Though, that does explain the staring whenever I have the hood up..." With that she waved at the girl as she took her next step, leaving the alley. "Thanks for the business." She walked down the street, opening her coin pouch again and counting the coins. "Only forty left... I'm never going to be able to afford food with any taste with this little bit...!" As she hung her head in despair, the day only proved it could make itself worse as a pickpocket dashed by her, grabbing the pouch and running off in a sprint. "Hey! That's my money!" She chased after him, partially questioning why she was bothering to chase after the man for only forty measly gold. Whatever the reason, it was her hard earned gold!
