How do you see yourself in 5 years?

Huh. Ask my past self that question and I'd hardly expect I'd be up at 4 AM writing a message on this forum.

Hm... not too much else to say about the forum that I haven't already said in my email to bring the forum back into visibility. I don't really RP anymore - life caught up and I was no longer anywhere near as proficient as how I was 5, especially even 10 years ago. Currently I only really occupy my free time with Final Fantasy XIV and modding for a Twitch stream and Discord.

I'm not too sure what impressions people have about me as one of the founders. I definitely caused some uproar when I came back from inactivity to take ownership of the forum and pass it on to Saber/Azoth... if anyone disagreed with my actions in doing so, I apologize. I did so in a final attempt to bring activity to the RP.

If I personally RPed with anyone reading this on my RP characters Midori and Laelia , it'd be nice to catch up with you especially. Feel free to contact me via the email address I used or on PMs here.

Oh, this thread can also be a Q&A about anything you ever wanted to know about former plans on the RP forum. Secret plot points, lore, etc. Or if you just wanted to say something to me back when I was potentially the intimidating mysterious admin on the site.

Man, I seriously miss this place!

I just read through my first character's profile and man, so many memories. Before the forums were closed down, I did plan for Eniko to have small character development in the form of a quest or something, but I kind of forget what it is.

Still, it's nice to see this site again. Good times!

It's better late than never! I recently got access to the site again thanks to Harmonie (although I didn't tell her I was going to open it up again, sorry Char ;;).

I was sad to see the forum go into Maintenance Mode, knowing how much history there had been on the site and that it was probably a sudden shock to whoever was still active and trying to make it still work. Thanks for sticking with the site in its final days.

I just got the email this morning! Funny thing that this happened. I sure as heck missed this place even if I wasn't as active as most of the other members. You thinking of making the discord happen again? Says invalid invite for me on my end. Anyways this is one heck of a way to start my day even though I know it's also my grandpa's 88th birthday too. Oh, that was never my Discord... Discord wasn't even around for most of the years the site was started. Back then we were all Skype users! I believe it may have belonged to Azoth or the final mods.

That said, I wouldn't been too opposed to starting one depending on how many faces return... we'll see.

Same! I did a lot after the site's closure to the point that I'm now writing my own web novel and doing some casual drawings and such. I seriously want to catch up after all of these years. :)

It's called Artificial Fantasy and it's about two brothers playing a VRMMO without any of those death game tropes. It's just a slice-of-life meets adventure novel. I posted new chapters every week on Tuesdays. It's on Wattpad, but I can leave a link to it if you like.

And speaking of life, I've been a bit busy other than writing such as doing chores and playing Pokemon Go lately.

Yeah, honestly was kind of a shock to me to see this all back. It's nice to see some familiar faces reach out, even if I don't recognize everyone.
Discord was owned by the final mods, if I recall correctly, though it's been a few years. I think it is sadly gone now, but I left it once the site was shut down, so I'm unsure.

Haaaaay Murasaki~! Thanks for reaching out. Crazy how easy lines of communication were to fall apart before the advent of discord. Yeesh, I do NOT miss skype, that's for sure. I miss all the funtimes we had getting renamed random things in the chatbox and how mad that made some people, lol.

As for me, I still rp off and on and have bounced around quite a lot of sites since this one. Trust me, I was just as shocked by the LH season 3 anime announcement as this email. Really glad it didn't get buried, haha, since this is my "sign up for things" email.

Hey there. I don't know if any of you remember me. I loved this place so very much. It was my first ever RP, and you can tell by my last messages in the now dead Chatbox that I really loved it here. I met so many friends that I still talk to today. In fact we even made a forum together, but Noctis already advertised that in his own Intro "A way to reconnect". This sure brings back memories! Ultimately this Murasaki’s baby so she can do whatever she likes with this place, even if she wants to resurrect it. ;) (if anyone can, it’d probably be her) I think me putting it into maintenance mode was controversial in itself as well, but I thought I’d give it a proper ending than kind of dragging things on. Something about beating a dead horse.

It’s really heartwarming to hear how much fun everyone had on here. I know I made some wonderful memories and lasting friendships here as well. I hope everyone is doing well!

Honestly I cannot begin to even say how many times I've tried writing this post. Its great to see people still checking in and talking about their memories here even after all this time has passed.



Though this is my personal stance I think I speak for the entire moderation team when I say that we thoroughly enjoyed our time here working with all of you guys. Some of the most fun I have had online is tied up in the way you all approached the various events we put on and how stories developed in sometime, most of the time, 100% unexpected and interesting ways.

While time has passed I do look forward to the chance to catch up with all you guys at some point so feel free to reach out. I'll be checking in as well so don't be a stranger.

Hm, I think as far as this RP forum goes, we might be done until further notice - I'm still pretty busy with life and thus it doesn't feel right to open an RP back up without putting my full effort in. A Discord could be fine, as an easy way for people to interact outside of this forum.

I will say that, if I were to restart the RP, I'd probably change the setting. Britain was a fun distinction away from canon but I've never been to the UK to truly make the setting feel alive. Possibly it'd be Western America or Japan but still non-canon to the story. Besides this, everyone would likely be level capped to reduce disparities in newbies and veterans, but people can master multiple subclasses at a time and inherit skills from them. And then finally there'd be more autonomy within the members - progress like AP claims would be provisional and then people can just reply to their profile to update information. I really want a working stat system too. But of course, take all that as simply speculation. I have no plans to start an RP in the near future. Whether that changes or not depends on how life will be once I get a consistent schedule.

klide: Besides designing the geography of the Scotland area, I didn't have too much involvement in GMing it specifically but I did design a rough outline. After going through a tunnel and mountain system in the Three Nations Pass, there'd eventually be parts of the land which would start to float in the sky. I believe the main city would have involved a king whose story is similar to Macbeth. Filled with ambition and when backed into a corner by Adventurers who question his authority, he would tap into the core of the city and disable the monster-protecting barrier. Royal Guards would follow his orders, making it seem impossible to fight back. You would then get Adventurers who would go to discover what the core really is... a sealed-up hero of mythical times. Then you use that power to make yourselves the true King of Scotland and defeat Macbeth.
