Metro stood in the plaza eyeing the players as they commuted from here to there. His hands were in his leather jacket pockets as he leaned against one of the now ruined buildings. The games scenery had changed since the apocalypse, this once clean and bright place had turned into what looked like a green house with vines hanging from the rooftops and moss climbing up the buildings as if they were supporting the building as to prevent it from crumbing into a big pile of bricks. His blue hair was pressed against the wall he was leaning on causing a strand of his highlights to drape over his face. The fur on his collar warmed him as a cool breeze flew in from the west. He closed his dark blue eyes and let his mind drift off into the farthest reaches in his subconscious. There were two special people he wanted to talk to. As he reached the point in his mind where all noises in his surroundings started to sound muffled then only to disappear completely in the end. He saw two silhouettes whom which he had come to both hate and love. His mind was not his own but it was still a place of safety and security from the terrors of the outside world. There both of the figures were talking to one another but metro was more focused on other things. He only heard a few bits and pieces of there conversation to make out what they were talking about. The one on the right with the blue eyes was trying to talk sense into the other one with red eyes, saying how the day to day grind would eventually end and we will be able to do more fun and engaging things only after the fact. The red eyed one was furious and kept yelling at him saying things like how there are better ways to get stronger and that if he would only listen to his ideas they could already be plenty strong. The yelling used to cause extreme headaches with unbearable pain causing metro to loose his balance and fall to the ground only to cry, telling them to stop it in between pain spikes. Now however he had learned to quiet them down in his mind so the noise didn’t cause him pain. It seemed that they had a lot less control over him then say a year ago when they basically dictated his life. What a kid he was back then, now he was coping with the fact that he was crazy and dealing with it accordingly. He opened his eyes as he pushed off the wall with his leg so he could start walking.

After a few minutes of walking he reached a vendor that sold produce. Metro was extremely fond of pears although the games fruit was terrible and tasted like wet mush in your mouth but he liked the crunching sound it made. He walked up to the vendor only to see he seemed extremely stressed for some reason as he franticly looked around the little wooden stand. “Sir, I would like to buy a pear please.” Asked metro who was now looking rather curious as to what this guy was freaking out about. “Oh, yeah uh in a minute if you wouldn’t mind. I lost something really important and I can’t find it anywhere.” He said trying to mask feelings that were obvious to metro. “Where do you last remember them being?” metro asked. “They were right in this b-“The vendor stopped in the middle of his sentence, Then he reached down and pulled up a piece of paper. He suddenly looked relieved and terrified at the same time. “Oh no, someone has stolen it and it seems they want me to pay them one hundred thousand gold pieces for it back. I don’t have that kind of money! What am I going to do!” he started to make a scene as people briefly stopped to stare at the man probably thinking it was some sort of event. “Do you mind if I take a look at that note?” asked metro reaching out his hand toward the man. “Sure, its not like I can do anything with it.” the vendor handed over the note and metro read it. “I have stolen your necklace Mr. Fruit vendor. I will happily give this back to you only if you bring one hundred thousand gold pieces to the center of the forest at midnight. Come alone.” Metro was a little stunned about this. Why would someone steal a necklace and how valuable must it have been to charge one hundred thousand gold? “I’ll tell you what. What if I went and saw this guy tonight and made a deal with him for it. After which I bring it back to you safe and sound.” Metro tried to sound as nice as possible because he knew that if this was as valuable as he thought the vendor would be even more stressed to hear someone else would be handling it. “Fine, go ahead because It is not like I have a choice. Just please bring it back to me tomorrow morning here if you get It.” said the vendor. “Looks like I got my first quest.” thought metro.

He walked through the streets and out of London before Blue eyes finally spoke up and said “That was quite impressive metro. You handled that situation quite well, I couldn’t be more proud.” Metro felt quite relieve to hear that blue eyes was accepting of his choice to help the man. Well, until red eyes spoke up and said “hey ass for brains you never even asked him for a reward! Are you retarded that should have been the first thing on your list to ask for! If I could I would kick your ass for doing something so kind and selfless!” Metro could hardly care what red eyes said anymore. At first red eyes words stung like a poison knife being lodged into his heart while being twisted as it plunged deeper into his body. Now however they felt more empty then hurtful. He knew now that red eyes really did care under that sheet of hate. Who could blame him since, after all they did live in the same body because at that point you ether get along with each other or you hate life itself. They reached the edge of the forest around early to late after-noon. Metro remembered from the note that the meeting wasn’t until midnight so he had some time to kill. “Hey guys, what say you to some boar hunting until the meeting tonight?” asked metro while he headed into the forest along the gravel path. He had walked this path so many times it felt like it was part of his very own existence and if it were to disappear he would loose apart of himself. “I don’t mind as long as I get to do most of the killing.” Piped up red eyes as metro felt him stir in his mind. “I don’t mind, Today was a rest day so do as you please.” Replied blue eyes, calmly and quietly in the back of metros mind. Metro suddenly felt full of energy and excitement for tonight that he leapt up into a tree and started to jump from branch to branch, tree to tree. He was heading for anywhere that was in the direction he was heading. Eventually he would find some boars or he wouldn’t. Ether way he was having a blast, it didn’t happen very often.

Metro suddenly saw movement out of the corner of his eyes. He stopped his gallivanting to investigate. Looking down he saw a group of three pigs laying down doing what looked like taking naps. “It seems as though these pigs have fallen asleep. It would be a shame if we were to, I don’t know slaughter them.” Said red eyes sarcastically, Red eyes always did have a sadistic sense of humor. Metro grinned and proceeded to climb down the tree as quietly as he could. He didn’t want to wake them up until he killed at least one of them. “Would you care to do the honors red?” asked metro in his mind as to not wake the boars. “What the hell do you think?” replied red eyes as metro felt his eyes change from dark blue to bright red. The change always felt weird and out of place even though they have done it over a thousand times. Red eyes was now in control of there body as metro slipped into the back of there mind like changing from drivers seat to the back seat in a single moment. Red eyes crept up on the closest boar and stood besides it. He reached behind him and grabbed his short bow then he swiftly pulled it over his head. Red eyes had recently been training in using the bow. As was blue eyes in using a long sword. Although red was better with a sword then blue eyes and vise versa with bows they still wanted to learn. Besides at point blank range plus the 20% bonus to damage from using a bow and boars being beast types due to his sub class being hunter, it should only take two maybe three arrows per boar. Red then raised the bow while pulling out a wooden arrow from his quiver. Then after noosing the arrow he pulled back the stringer and pointed it at the boars head. He stared down the wooden shaft of the arrow and aimed so that the arrow would directly connect with the boars skull. He then let go of the arrow and almost as soon as he fired it the arrow connected. The boar squealed and started to get up but red eyes slammed his foot on the things neck and noosed another arrow. The other two boars where now awakening as red eyes pulled back the string and let the arrow fly. Another arrow went threw the skull which caused the frantic boar to stop all motion in his body. He took his foot of the boar’s neck as he equipped his long sword while staring at the other two boars, now getting onto there feet.

Red eyes used his quick draw ability and lunged at the boar on the left, striking hard upward with his left hand across the boar’s side. Using his momentum from the strike he spun around on his left leg and kicked the boar on the right directly in the face, staggering the boar. Then red eyes took his sword in both hands and brought the sword downward onto the pig on the left’s head, impaling it threw the skull and out its jaw. Its legs were still kicking wildly so red eyes dug it deeper while twisting it until it finally twisted all the way to the side rendering the boar lifeless as its body flopped to the floor its head held up by the blade it was killed with. The boar on the right had now regained its footing and charged Red eyes while he was paying more attention to the now lifeless corpse instead of the battle. The boar slammed its head into red eyes side sending him flying. The boar then continued its charge at red eyes. It went to ram its tusks into red eyes chest but red eyes grabbed at the boar’s face holding it at bay. Red had left his sword inside the other pig’s skull which was now out of reach which meant he had to deal with this pig bare-handed. The pig continued its charge trying to impale red as he did to its friends. Digging its legs into the dirt as it used all it power to push threw red eyes grip with its tusks inching its way to him. His health bar was dropping so he had to think fast. He slid his hands to the pig’s tusks, gripping them until his knuckles turn white and tilted its head back and forth like a steering wheel. Then using its own momentum red eyes swung the boar off of it causing it to run face first into a tree then red eyes stumbled to his feet and made a dash for his sword. The pig had now turned around to charge at red eyes. Red eyes dived for the sword, reaching to yank the sword out of the pigs skull. Then as he hit the ground spun with the point of the blade pointing up toward the sky just when the pig leapt at him and was stabbed threw the gut. Red eyes rolled the pig off of him and stood up. “And stay down you worthless pile of breakfast!” yelled red eyes, exhausted he walked over to the nearest tree so he could sit on the grass and lean against it. The sun was setting on the horizon, metro took back over, there eyes changed back from bright red to dark blue and as he looked up he saw the entire forest light up in a flash of light. The sun was at just the right angel that the forest seemed to come to life as it sparkled from the reflection of the surfaces. The leaves bounced light like prisms’ along with a sudden blast of air threw the forest made it seem as though they had burst into flames while the grass did the same. Metro felt a rush of emotion that he could not help but smile to see such a magnificent sight right after slaughtering a group of pigs. It was beautiful irony at its finest. He tilted his head and fell asleep right when the sun fell behind the mountains and the forest returned back to its normal state of being.

He awoke to the sound of the breeze whistling threw the leaves. The trees seemed to sing a song as the air flew threw them. Metro shivered a bit and clutched at his leather jacket. He looked at the time and saw that it was eleven o’clock. He would have to meet the mysterious stranger soon so he should probably get up. The air seemed to weigh heavily on his body and his legs felt numb to the touch. Mind still dazed he forced himself to fully awaken and stand. His legs felt awkward and alien to him as did is own mind. He must have exerted himself a lot more then he had anticipated. He started to stumble his way deeper into the forest. He knew exactly where the meeting was to take place. The clearing at the center of the forest was the only place significant enough to hold such an occasion. He checked his health bar as he walked, using the trees as supports so that he didn’t fall over. It had regained hi health fully in the hours he slept. That was good since he had planned to fight this guy, who ever he was and get the necklace back. After a few minutes his legs started to feel better and more familiar as did his mind. He could hear red and blue talking to each other. It was one of the rare times they all talked together instead of one on one conversation. Metro was still trying to make sense of what fraction of the conversation he had heard and wasn’t getting anywhere with it. “What are you guys talking about?” Asked metro who had finally pushed off the trees and started to walk on his own feet but clutching his head to keep his brains fuzziness from making him loose his balance.

“We are talking about how we should approach this meeting. I say we should think of an escape plan in the case he isn’t alone but Red thinks that if he isn’t alone he will just kill them too. Do you remember the last time we tried to fight off a few PKs we nearly died! So I just want to take into precaution this time since we know the location like the back of our hand.” Replied blue, metro knew he wasn’t wrong. They had visited that place many times on there travel since the best hunting spots are around there. He also figured it couldn’t hurt to have a backup plan incase shit hits the fan. “Well then I agree with blue we should come up with an escape plan just in case. I would rather us have a plan we will never use then have no plan at all.” Metro said as he finally got his body under control so he was walking normally. His eyes weren’t completely dilated yet so he could only make out rough shapes. It hardly mattered now anyway since he only had to stay on the path for the next ten to fifteen minutes so sometime only focusing on the path would be good. “Fine make your stupid back up plan but I will get player blood on my hands tonight, I can promise you that!” said red eyes; metro could feel him move in his mind like he was a five year old storming angrily away. That was one of red eyes flaws; he had such an anger problem. They were coming up on the clearing so metro jogged off the path and hid behind a tree. He knelt down and peered out into the clearing. It was covered in white flowers and it looked like the flowers were invading the forest. Metro giggled at that thought before blue eyes spoke up. “Are you sure you want to do this metro? I could take over if you like.” Metro thought for a moment and answered back “no this is something I have to do. I don’t want to have to keep depending on you guys to cover for me. Besides I promised the guy I would get his necklace back. I would rather die then him since if you forgot we respawn and they don’t.” Metro then looked at the time and saw it click from eleven fifty-nine to twelve o’clock. He then stood up and walked out into the open field. He made his way to the center of the field, once he got there he held his arms up looking toward the forest and yelled “I am here on behalf of the vendor, come out and face me.” Metro then saw a man emerge from the forest. He looked to have some pretty heavy armor on and had what looked like a two handed battle axe. Metro was a little frightened now at the sight of this man.

The man walked further into the clearing so the moon was now shining on him. The reflection from his armor lit up his face. He had short curly brown hair with a scar on his cheek. “I suspected that commoner would send some kid to get his precious necklace back.” He yelled from across the clearing “Do you have my money?” Metro straightened up his posture “no I don’t have your money because I never planned on paying you.” He said loud and firm. This was the first of many tests to come tonight. “Do you even realize how much this necklace is worth? This thing could buy you everything you have ever wanted and could put you up in an inn every day for the rest of your life. To be completely honest… I never planned on giving it up.” He said as he pulled out his double handed axe. Metro also equipped his bow as he pulled it off of his back. No words had been said but the message had been clear as day, they were going to fight to the death for the necklace. Metro could tell by the player’s armor that he was a guardian. He seemed to be around level 3 so he might have two skills instead of one. He would have to be wary of surprises. The other player started to walk forward toward metro. The walk quickly turned into a jog then a run to a full on sprint. His armor was heavy so he was slower then usual but still quite fast for a tank. Metro quickly used his quick draw ability to fire off a shot so fast you could hardly see the bow move. Then he pulled the bow up and the string back. The arrow he shot flew threw the air and impaled the player in the shoulder. He apparently didn’t see it coming since its so dark out tonight. Although it was a full moon his arrows were fast and slim, they will be very difficult to see let alone dodge. Taking into account that he didn’t have a shield with such bulky armor it was like trying to shoot the broad side of a barn from ten feet away. He then shot arrow after arrow at the player. After the fourth arrow was fired and connected the player was close enough to leap into the air with his axe above his head toward metro. Metro combat rolled underneath the player right when he landed on the ground swinging his giant axe down onto the earth, the ground shook a bit when the axe hit but not enough to cause an earthquake. Metro jumped to his feet, put away his bow and unsheathed his sword. “This was going to be a long night” thought metro.

Metro quickly gripped his sword until his knuckles whitened and focused on the guardian just as he yanked his battle axe from the earth’s surface. Metro then lunged at the guardian right when the he swung his massive axe around his body, spinning around to give his axe extra momentum. It was a cool but damp night so metro took advantage of the wet grass and he dropped to one knee with his right leg extended to slide underneath the axe. He then slide past the player but not before striking at its leg after, he flipped around to face the player and threw himself at him. He plunged his sword into his back, then as the player turned to the right to swing his axe at metro once more he spun underneath the mans arm, yanking his sword out in the process. Now metro was once again behind the player. He thought things were going well until the player continued his swing without stopping this time. Metro noticed the incoming battle axe and tried to move out of its attack pattern but slipped on the grass. His advantage had quickly turned into a disadvantage as the axe connected with his side, sending him flying across the clearing. He skipped then rolled across the grass until he halted to a stop. He looked at his health and saw that a chunk of his health was missing. He was surprised that one hit from a guardian no less, did so much damage. He looked at the player and eyed his battle axe. That was the source of his attack power. Since he gave up a shield for a two handed weapon his attack power had increase and that’s not counting that it’s also a battle axe. Its swinging power far surpasses a sword due to the weighted end but that also meant he can’t thrust it and it was heavy so he could see it coming. As long as he kept an eye on that axe he should be able to dodge it so he wouldn’t take anymore damage. In theory it worked but could he actually pull it off? That was a question he had to answer on his own and through action.

Metro gripped his sword with both hands once more and focused on the mighty titan before him. The guardian’s health also took some damage. All he has to do is focus on dodging and attacking. Eventually he would kill the player and get the necklace back for the vendor. Metro thought it was funny he was going through all this trouble for a guy he doesn’t even know the name of. Maybe Red eyes was right and he was too soft, too caring of others. He had always tried to convince himself that humanity was scum and it was pointless for them to struggle against there inevitable destruction but under all of that he cared for them. He wanted to join in on there struggle so he could one day rule them. He wanted to rule them not for his own selfish desires but because he wanted to do everything he could to preserve there life and improve on it. In all honestly he wanted to just be accepted by them. He doubted anyone would follow someone who talks to voices in his head but this was something he had to do. Even if it killed him…Metro then lunged at the player. The player lifted his giant axe above his head and slammed it down in front of him. Metro saw this and stepped to the side bringing up his weapon so his sword and the players axe sparked together. He jumped up, his sword tracing the player’s weapons handle up to the player’s arms. It connected with his arms and sliced up it until his blade reached the player’s neck. Metro slashed his sword upward with his left hand and cut the guardian’s neck. As he flew past the guardian he grabbed onto his armor and pulled himself to the player. He landed on his back as he plunged his blade into the player’s upper back.

Metro pulled out the blade in order to stab him again until the player reached back and grabbed him by the leather armor as he yanked metro over his head and slammed him to the ground. Then the player reached down and grabbed metro by the collar, picking him up the player said “you slippery piece of shit why don’t you just stand still and die? Better yet why don’t you get on your knees and beg for my mercy. If you do that ill forget about this whole thing and let you go. I promise no harm will come to you if you beg for my forgiveness. I am actually quite a generous person when it comes to players.” Metro squirmed around in the guardians grasp. He could here red eyes screaming “Fight me then you little bitch ill show you who should be begging for mercy!” in the back of metros mind while blue eyes was trying to figure out his weaknesses and the best strategy for defeating him. Metros mind was going left; right and center with all the noise and thoughts going threw his head at once. It dazed him and his eyes fluttered, he shook and twitched. The guardian freaked out and dropped metro who fell onto his hands and knees. His blue hair fell down and flopped over his face. He felt dizzy and sick, like the entire world was spinning as blue and red eyes voices started to sink together into one mesh of words. Metro was having a hard time dealing with it when suddenly he blacked out. His body fell lifelessly to the ground.

The guardian had stepped away from metro as he had his mini-meltdown. Now he was creeping toward metro one step at a time. He then stood right over metro and tried to loot him. His attempts failed so he figured metro must still be alive. He went to nudge his body with the butt of his axe’s long handle when metros hand shot up and grabbed his axe’s handle. He then yanked himself up using the handle and slammed the top of his head into the guardians face. It staggered the player as he took a few steps back; clutching his now bleeding nose he looked at metro and was shocked by the sight of him. Before the player remembering him having an eye color that was darker. Metros eyes were semi open now with his bright blue hair and orange highlights flopped over his face. Only one eye was visible and it was now in fact a bright purple. Metro then spoke in a emotionless monotone voice “something that succumbs to something else’s mercy deserves a slow and painful death because at that moment there life holds no meaning.” Metro then reached down to pick up his sword when the guardian brought up his axe to swing it down again. Metro moved forward as he picked up his sword and using the wet grass to his advantage once more slid out of the attack path past the guardian. He then spun on one foot as he slide, delivering two slashes at the guardians left leg. He dropped to his knee because of the blow. Metro was now behind the player, still spinning he extended his right leg and kicked the guardians lower back causing him to throw his chest and head backward allowing metro to wrap his right arm around the players neck and kick his own legs out from under him making the guardian flop backwards onto his head. Then metro spun away from the player onto his feet.

guardian who this time spun around, using his axe to help spin he caught the arrow in the shoulder. He then stumbled up and charged metro as he pulled the bow back and fired once more. This time the arrow connected with his ribcage. The guardian, now furious charged metro and swung his battle axe at metro, Swinging it using his left hand from right to left in a big arch. Metro saw the obvious attack, he wondered if this was because the guardian was desperate and exhausted or just plain stupid. Ether way metro decided this needed to end. He ducked underneath the swinging axe and using all the power he could muster up he delivered a left hook to the guardian’s side. Then as the guardian’s body recoiled in reaction to the blow metro shoved his sword up under the guardians jaw threw his skull and out the top of his head. Metro then yanked out his sword as the player’s now lifeless body flopped to the floor. He looted the now slain guardian and witnessed it disperse into data bubbles. Metros eyes were burning as if they were on fire and his head felt like it was being compressed till it popped. Everything about his body was in deep agony and he screamed up in pain. His eyes were now rapidly flashing from color to color in a endless rainbow of light as the sounds in his mind exploded in volume. The pain forced his body into unconsciousness and he too fell lifelessly onto the damp cool grass. He awoke in a daze, his ears were ringing and he could smell flowers. His entire body was numb but he was conscious. At first he thought he was dreaming and in fact he was sleeping in a bed at the inn. Then after ruling that out he thought maybe that fight with the guardian was a dream and he just fought pigs that night. After a few more minutes he realized that it in fact was not a dream and he did fight that guardian. All he remembered was his head exploding with sound and his eyes fluttering and flashing with color. After that it was all a blur like he had memories that were not his own. After a few more minutes he could feel enough of his body to slightly sit up from laying face down on the grass. When he turned to the right however he almost jumped. There was a person in a cloak sitting next to him.

“you have fought well young player. Not many people can beat Shantou, even he thought himself to be invincible but you defeated him in a fair battle. I can honestly say I am impressed and I don’t say that often.” Said a women’s voice, it didn’t sound like a teenage voice or a old lady voice but a middle age women. Metro could see you a lot better not since he shifted his body and saw that she was blonde and quite pretty. She wore a brown cloak over her in her hand she held a gold chained necklace with a thick gold plate attached to it. Implanted into the plate was a red gem carved to look like a star. “This is what you wanted wasn’t it? here you can have it. Lets just say its your reward for surprising me tonight.” She then leaned down and kissed his forehead. She got up, turned and walked back into the forest. Metro started to fully get up now that his body was realizing he wasn’t actually dead. Grabbing the chain as he stood up he heard blue eyes voice “Metro do you know what in the blazes just happened?” metro was lifting the necklace up and down as to estimate the weight of the thing. “I have no clue but look we got the necklace.” Replied metro as he too started off toward the path. “Metro that was some crazy shit you pull I was on the edge of my seat. For once in your life I am impressed with you. Maybe your not just dead weight after all.” Said red eyes, for once he was not screaming at him but instead praising him for doing well. That made metro feel really good about himself because not only did he please blue and red eyes but he got the necklace all on his own. He reached the path and started off back toward London with a little bit of pip in his step as he walked along.

Metro looked up into the sky and saw the moon was high up into the sky. It seemed that there was still a few hours left in the night until the morning sun came and washed away the cool damp breeze and replaced it with its warm sunny glow. The path seemed to wind along a lot more and it seemed to take a lot longer then it usually did but he figured that was because he was anxious to get into a nice warm comfy bed so he could sleep the night away. He pictured the vendor thanking him with hugs and screams of joy as metro handed over the necklace. Speaking of which, metro reached into his pocket and pulled it out. He eyed the suspicious piece of jewelry and rubbed his thumb over the gem embedded in the golden plate. It was smooth and as he stared at it the necklace seemed to crystallize. “If your wondering if its real you would be right. That’s called a ruby and from what I can tell it is most definitely real. I wonder how much its worth? Didn’t that guardian we fought say it could buy you everything you could ever want?” asked blue eyes, he always was one for shiny objects. Metro pondered this and did in fact remember him saying those exact words. “Maybe I should just keep it. ill go and tell him I couldn’t strike a deal with the thief and he’ll just give me a sad look and a sigh but at least ill have enough money to forget about his sadness right?” thought metro, he could feel blue eyes scolding gaze in the back of his mind. “I was only kidding blue, you know me I would just steal something for money. I would probably steal if it was mine if the first place but not something I not only fought for with my life on the line but I did for the sake of an innocent shop vendor.” He said them silently murmured “and maybe he will be thankful enough to give me free pears for life.” Again blue eyes scolded him but at least this time metro didn’t care because he was going to ask for that whether he liked it or not and seeing as how blue and red eyes liked those pears he saw nothing wrong with it and if the guardian was true then the pears would surely pay off the necklace right? Metro was even happier with this thought as he almost skipped his way into the town of London. He then turned a few corners and walked down a few streets until he ended up at the inn.

He walked up to the old man with glass at the front desk and asked for a room. The man looked at metro, smiled and flipped open his log book. He then put his finger on the page as if to hold his place he was reading. Then glanced back at the wall of keys behind him, reaching back his head flickered from wall to book as he tried to find the right key to the open room. After a minute of this he found it and pulled it off the wall. Metro had been coming here a lot since he had been grinding almost nonstop for the past month and he had saved up a bit of cash. With nothing else to buy but food he had a lot saved for renting rooms at the inn. He had actually looked at the other two inns in town but didn’t like them. He never really knew what it was but something about them was off. Until he found this place and he loved it here. The rooms were small but homey. The desk guy was old but kind. It all just kind of seemed to fit and that’s why he always picked this place over the others. He took the key from the man with a friendly smile back and a quick thank you before heading up stairs and to his room. After a bit of searching he found his room number, opened the door and flopped on his bed. If he could he would have just fell asleep right then and there but he had all his gear on still so he forced himself to sit up. He unbuckled his sword and pulled his bow off his back. He then lifted the strap that his quiver had to keep it on his back and slid that off too. His armor came next until he was in all cloth clothing and then he flopped back onto the bed. He thought “it has been such an eventful night I cant wait to rest my eyes for the little time we have until we have to meet with that vendor tomorrow. Good night blue, good night red.” Blue and red eyes both said good night as metros mind drifted off and in seconds he was fast asleep. He awoke to the sun beating down on him through his open window. The bed was right up against it so the light hit metros face like the morning was smacking him awake. Feeling rather dazed and tired he struggled to pull himself together so he could go see the vendor. He put on his gear along with his bow and sword. He usually left them in the room if he wasn’t going anywhere to hunt but today he felt like taking them along with him. After last nights battle he was starting to think of them not as weapons but as extensions of himself.

Metro started off through his room door and down the stairs. He walked out the inn but now without waving good morning to the nice man at the front desk. He then started to walk off toward the vendor’s stand until he felt his stomach rumbling. He then remembered that he hadn’t eaten since noon yesterday. So he decided that he was going to stop by a restaurant on the way to the vendor’s stand. He thought about going to a NPC restaurant but then he remembered the taste and decided to head over to a player run food stand. He waited in line for all of ten minutes seeing as how it was eight in the morning all these lazy gamers were ether still sleeping or just getting up like he was. He then ordered some eggs and bacon with water. They brought him a plate and a cup as the lady told him “there should be a table right over there you can sit at.” As she pointed in its direction “thanks!” replied metro as he walked over to the table and sat down. As he said he could hear blue and red eyes yawning in the back of his mind. He figured they were as tired as he was and weren’t up for talking so early in the morning. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the necklace again. He investigated the gold plate once more, Squeezing it as to not have it be stolen again by random passersby. When he did it seemed to pop open. The plate was in fact a locket and inside was a picture of a flower on the rooftop of some building. On the other side these words were in graved into it “Creation is not without destruction. If one is to conquer there own fears they must cast aside all notions of doubt so that when they make that climb out of darkness the light becomes all the brighter.”

Metro pondered the meaning of those words. They spoke to him and gave him a sense of hope and satisfaction. It wasn’t the amount of gold and gems that were forged into making this but the words inside that made this necklace valuable. He always knew that words had power but he never truly experienced it until now. It was quite shocking to him that just those two sentences can make him ponder the meaning of life, his purpose on this planet and why the chicken crossed the road. He decided to memorize these words so after a while Metro finished his breakfast and headed off toward the vendor. When he got there the vendors face lit up when he saw metros face. “Did you get it? Please tell me you got It.” he said, metro figured this guy must have put a lot of hope into him. “Yeah, I got it its right here.” Metro said as he pulled the heavy object out of his pocket and placed the necklace onto the vendors stand. Suddenly the vendors ran out from behind his stand and wrapped metro in a bear hug. He was saying thank you so many times that he started to mess up the pronunciation of the words. Metro quickly broke free, it wasn’t that metro didn’t like hugs its just that he hadn’t had enough of them to get used to it. Since as a child no one really cared enough for him to even attempt a handshake let alone a hug. Something that interment is left to family members and lovers. “it really wasn’t a big deal promise, I am just glad you got your necklace back.” Metro said as he placed a hand on the man’s shoulder “oh please sir, how can I ever repay you for this?” said the vendor. Metro grinned and chuckled to himself. “well sir, I was wondering if I can get a free pear per day if that’s alright with you? I simply love the things and the cost of a decent pear in this day and age is just to much for my budget to allow.” He tried to look as sincere as possible but even blue and red eyes were laughing hysterically in the back of his mind. “Of course come back anytime you like! I can never repay you enough for the kindness you have shown to me.” Replied the vendor as he reached back and handed metro a ripe, juicy pear.
