To say Endrin was nervous would be an understatement. He had never been much for public speaking back in the real world, never tried to rally anyone, why would he? He had never been able to rally himself let alone anyone else. But things were different here, he was different. He had friends here that were choosing to follow him and risk themselves for him and what he believed in. Not death sure, they would all respawn. But they still risked pain, they choose to spend their time helping him. And that was valuable, and it helped him to believe that what they wanted to do was valuable.
The crowd wasn't even large in the grand scheme of things, but for him this first step was huge as he looked upon the small crowd that had gathered around the makeshift stage. Probably more curious about what was going on than anything else. It was now or never though. And so he stepped forward on to the stage that overlooked the sunny street of London that they had been set up on.
"Here goes nothing." He mumbled to himself as he rose his head. Clad in his armor with his shield on his back and his sword on his hip he tried to look over their heads, but only just. If he didn't look right at them he could do this.
"My friends I stand here before you all to speak to you about London and this world that we now find ourselves in. I want you to look around at the people next to you. At the buildings covered in plant life, threatening to crumble around us. I want you to feel the air blowing against your skin and I want you to see what I see."
He took a slow deep breath to steady his nerves. He couldn't stop now.
"I see London. Not in ruins, but rebuilt to be more fantastic than ever. I see what London could be, what we can help shape it to be. This city is a blank canvas for us now, barely held together by the People of the Land as nature threatens to retake it. As we speak people just like you and me mill about the city like drones waiting to be able to wake up from all of this. Or they strike out into the wild in search of something. No one really knows what this world holds for us. And exploring it is important. I make no claim to the contrary. But I ask you, what about London?
Whether or not we came from London originally this place now serves as our home for as long as we are here. And from what I have seen there is no telling how long that will be. If this is to be our home for any length of time we have the responsibility to see it not remain in shambles. We have the opportunity to make it more wonderful than it has ever been."
Thanks in no small part to crafts like Alchemy and magitek.
"We can all choose to stop looking at this as a curse or a prison and instead embrace this challenge that fate has thrust upon us, as a second chance. A chance to be who you want to be. To be what you want to be. You are no longer held up by your social economic class. Your disabilities. Your family. We have a chance to define who we are through our own actions alone, each and every one of us. We can distance ourselves from the mistakes of our collective pasts and focus on building our futures. We can turn London into a city of innovation and prosperity."
He said as his arms spread out before him motioning to the city as a whole. Taking a step to the edge of the stage he felt his chest loosen it's grip. He could do this. He was doing this. He just hoped it didn't suck.
"Together we can help to shape the fate of this new world. We can turn this prison into a sanctuary, we can create new wonders using the rules of this new world. Wonders that we could not create in our old one. We can protect the weak from those who would seek to sow chaos and anarchy. Who wish to harm others for their own enjoyment. Mistake me not, the apocalypse will not have stopped the trolls and griefers. Rather it would empower them by giving more consequence to those that they target. We need crafters and artisans to help rebuild this city. We need combat focused people to help defend it. I am willing to dedicate myself to seeing this city prosper, but I can not do it alone. We can not do it alone.
Please, I encourage any and all of you who wish to see London prosper as I do to speak with me and join us in our efforts. I have faith in the people of this city, and I know that together we can make something truly wonderful. Something that we can look back on with pride knowing that we did this. That we did something real that betters not only our own lives, but the lives of everyone who calls this city home. Whether they be an Adventurer or a Person of the Land. Should you choose to join with us or not I still wish each of you all the best that this new world has to offer. But I hope that all of you will help to make London better in some small way, whether or not you do it under our guild's banner."
As he finished he gave the crowd a bow. To stuck in his own head to really register any cheers or boos from the crowd unless someone were to approach him. His heard was just pounding in his chest again, and his palms were sweating under his gauntlets. He felt like he was a wreck, but he hoped that he held it together up there well enough. It was his first real attempt at public speaking, he could only imagine if he had been speaking to hundreds or thousands instead of just dozens. He probably would have passed out from the nerves.

David had expected a lot of adjustment when it came to getting into a different genre of game than the one he'd played for so long, and with so much focus. His lingo didn't quite hold up in the world of a massively multiplayer role-playing game. And his preconceptions about what was good and what wasn't were all about thrown out the window. Kind of like how he'd been surprised when he found out that his staff didn't let him do a minor magical ranged attack like he could with just about any support hero in Attack on Ancient Legends. Yet differences like that were hardly insurmountable. The ones that truly shocked him, shocked everyone who was playing alongside him. Or perhaps 'playing' was the wrong word. Living. They were living in a video game world. It was funny how that was the nightly dream of most teenage gamers. It'd certainly been his dream more than a few times. Yet when they all got there, the world had become quiet and depressing. Oppressive, even. As the realizations settled in, everyone began to worry about home, their families, their real lives. The game part of Elder Tale lost almost all of its significance. It'd been particularly tough for David himself. Though perhaps the name DiCi was more appropriate to this world. That wasn't much of an adjustment for him to make. His legs however... He had to crawl and stumble for nearly two weeks. DiCi's character model was a foot taller than him in real life, with proportions that put most of that height into his legs. Worse yet was the inhuman bone structure of the werecat species. Digitigrade legs took a lot of getting used to, especially with the unfamiliar leg length. Combat was difficult too. With only one spell, he didn't have a lot of versatility, nor did his shield last terribly long considering its cooldown time. Normally games had a tutorial zone, but everyone had just gotten dumped into the main town hub during the so-called Apocalypse. So the creatures around the city were a bit too high for him to handle alone, especially in numbers. Though, he hadn't tired every exit yet, so there was some possibility he'd find a lower level zone to work with. It seemed weird to think of the game as such after all that had happened. But after deal with some of his own homesickness, he realized that doing nothing at all was worse than doing nothing to solve the situation. Not that anyone had a clue of how to get back to the real world. DiCi had come to the realization that the answer was most certainly not in the hub town, otherwise the thousands of players would have found it by now. Using his staff as a crutch to help him keep balance, he meandered his way through the center of the town population center. People were starting to be people again, talking, acting, doing things other than helplessly waiting for rescue. A small crowd had gathered out before a stage, another player making a speech. DiCi's interface quickly identified the player name, race, and class. While he hadn't quite been there for the beginning, his plea for help in rebuilding London was an interesting one. Certainly not a terrible goal. ”That's the prince guy, right?” DiCi felt his ears perk under his hat as one of the younger women in the crowd whispered to a friend. Ignoring the question of how he had managed to get subconscious control of his cat ears, he paid more attention to the title of prince. It was probably a custom guild title or something like that. It seemed a bit pretentious, and certainly a little underhanded to try and seize some form of power as prince of the post-apocalypse. But the way the guy spoke had him feeling a bit differently. It was nervous, a tone he knew well from when he had first started streaming. Endrin hid it well, but he probably wasn't terribly used to speaking to the public. And the goal he spoke of was noble. Even if he did later use it for political power, that'd make him no wore than any normal democratic politician. Thinking on it, certainly some would try to seize power through force. So if it came down to choosing the lesser of two evils, he'd have to go with the Diet Pepsi of evil. Taking enough steps forward to be noticed, he put his weight on his staff and spoke up. “Well... It's certainly not a terrible idea. I could name a few things I really miss from home. I'm sure we all can. So, in the spirit of cooperation... Yeah, sure. I'll give it a shot.” He brought up his interface and sent a friend request to Endrin. If the speaker hadn't already noticed it, DiCi was still level one. Even so, he lifted the brim of his hat enough that he could poke his face out to give the man a smile. “Consider me your team's carry.” tagged for [OPEN], word count 846, an also “Yay! He was actually a little surprised that someone did come up to him when it was all said and done! Maybe he didn't botch the whole thing after all. That was good to know, and a little bit of an ego boost. He set his mind out to do something, stepped out of his comfort zone and then he didn't fail horribly. So hurrah for that! Turning to face the Cat man he smiled and bowed to him in acknowledgement. A small respectful one, with his right arm over his heart. The same bow he had grown accustomed to giving everyone by this point.
His eyes shifted to the friend request that popped up before he opened up his menu and hit accept without hesitation. The man's level did not bother him one bit. He would grow in levels for whatever he chose to apply himself to. There was no room to be an elitist when it came to establishing a home for everyone who was trapped in this new world. Everyone had something to give, and if he was willing to work for the betterment of all then Endrin was not about to turn him away.
"Indeed good Sir. There are things I wish to emulate from home as well. Which is why I am thankful that I am an Alchemist. In time I hope to replicate some of the comforts we used to have with Magitek, and find ways to make what we do have more efficient. Though I must admit I have hopes to create things that were not possible back home."
This was still a fantasy world with magic and all that good stuff. It opened up a lot of doors for what was possible. And to be able to experience some of those innovations would be amazing. Even if they would eventually go home to where such things were not possible. The memories would be his forever. And that was enough for him.
"I am pleased to hear that you are willing to join our cause though. However I'm not familiar with the term carry. At least in the way you seem to be using it."
He was never really big on playing league or other games like that. He tried once or twice but the community was just to toxic for him. He had better things to do then get screamed at for not starting the game as a grand master, or whatever the highest ranking for those games were. So he stuck to Role Playing Games and the like. He always enjoyed story over anything else. Though he did have fun with a shooter now and then. Though he rarely did multiplayer unless he was playing with friends.

He was quickly notified that the request had been accepted. Friend list total: one! It'd be a start at least. DiCi was no stranger to having to build a social network from scratch, even if he wasn't the most charismatic of people. Come to think of it, he wasn't sure how he'd be able to do much with his friend list. It wasn't like he could type through the game menu. Though there'd surely be an invite button for parties, which would come in handy at some point if he caught up in levels.
But more concerning was that his new friend didn't know what a carry was. So he had to be oblivious to the multiplayer online battle arena style of game, as the carry was a character designation that was often learned early. But the was no sense in calling the guy out on being a newb or anything like that. After all, in the MMO world, he was the newbie. ”A Carry is a member of a team that starts off weaker in terms of overall power balance. But with the right combination of skills and their strong built-in stat scaling, they become immensely powerful in the late game and can carry a team to victory. It comes from the MOBA style of games, like League and AoAL.” It wasn't much to take in, and it was a basic part of team construction. Though Endrin wasn't really looking for a structured team, per se.
A small thought occurred to him, involving the classes that had been picked for him when he made his character. ”My craft class is Scribe. It won't be terribly useful for rebuilding the city. But I've always leaned more towards competitive gaming, so I'll probably fit in better with any combat teams that form. I just need to learn my class.” DiCi explained, without resorting to bragging about his former pro-gaming experience. Any ego he'd gotten from that got thoroughly gutted after he got dropped by Idiom.
Hopping up on stage, he took a spot next to the human. Clearing his throat a little, he took in a bit of a breath before projecting his voice, clear, confident, and enthusiastically toward the audience, ”Look, regardless of what you all decide here and now, the truth is that we're here for an unknown amount of time. Buzzkill as that is, we have an opportunity to do something here. I've seen a lot of people who've fallen to depression and hopelessness. I've been there. But you know what? This is still a game! Our game! We have a chance here to do something absolutely amazing. Find something you want to do, something you enjoy. Play the game, get people together to create something that lasts, or uh... make a weasel cannon! Doesn't matter how serious or silly it is. Things won't get better here, until we do something.”
He shrugged a bit. ”Happiness is hard work. So go! Or stay! Or come with us! Just because we're in a new world doesn't mean we don't still have the right to life, freedom, and above all; happiness.”

He nodded in understanding as the young player described what a carry was. A person that started out as weak but would grow to be an asset that could win the game. He didn't play the games that the term came from, but he could agree with the sentiment. Everyone would level at their own pace and there was plenty to do for everyone of all skill levels. If nothing else his enthusiasm in assuring Endrin that he was going to be useful was both surprising and appreciated. It was comforting to see passion in someone else about making this world a better one.
"Well then, I am fortunate to have you on my side. And I will earnestly watch your progress and growth. I can imagine great thing from you." He said smiling before the young cat man went on to explain his crafting skill and thus his own disposition for combat teams. Which was fine, everyone had their own talents and preferences. Crafters and defenders would be needed throughout the realm.
"And you are of course more than welcome to drill with others to ready yourself for combat. And I'm sure they would be very appreciative of having you there. But do not count out your skills as a scribe. Right now we know that scribes can make maps, which are incredibly valuable to anyone who wishes to leave the safety of the city. And there is no telling what wonders Scribes will be able to achieve as people explore these new crafts."
After all if they could make real food now why not something with inscribing? But he was no Scribe and did not pretend to know what was within the realm of possibility for them. He was still having some trouble progressing on his Alchemy, mostly because his research seemed to have hit a wall. But that was the nature of innovation, it was not a steady incline but rather valley's and hills. He was confident that he would find a breakthrough soon. Or someone else would, it mattered not who made the breakthrough.
What was perhaps the most welcome surprise that this player had shown him in the last few moments came when he hopped on stage. Speaking to the crowd himself. Urging them to action. Reinforcing what he had tried to portray. That they could be here a long time and the sooner they tried to improve things the better off they would all be. He couldn't help but beam behind the young man as he spoke. His words resonating with Endrin and he felt his heart swell. Could it be that he inspired this young man to speak? Would this man inspire others? Would the effects of this small meeting ripple through London and usher in a wave of positive change? He hoped so. Clasping a hand on the Shaman's shoulder from behind him Endrin shifted so that he stood directly behind, if slightly to the left of DiCi as they looked on at the crowd. His chest constricting again momentarily as his stomach fluttered.
"You do not need to decide right this moment, or even today. But me name is Endrin, and I'm from No Damage Dealt and we want to make this a better place. I hope you will help us help everyone." He said with a warm smile even as his guts felt like they were twisting inside. It was almost astonishing to think that he wasn't running away or rolling on the ground clutching his stomach. Even the fact that he managed to say that last bit without flinching was a testament to his will power. It came out way better in his head...

MY HEART BEATS,BUT WHAT FOR
WORDS:481 The feelings that Miki got from watching the two men speak, they are truly brave, she said to herself. Standing on the ground leaning on the oak tree. The people around her started to move, they did not know how to react to what they heard; some were motivated ,some seemed to find no point in listing to his speech and thought it was just a guild trap to try and recruit members. Miki was undecided about her direction in this matter;she wanted to be happy, and wanted the people around to also be happy. This world was full of sadness and so much pain, even she had began to lose hope in getting back the life she had before. Hope was something that the people in this game needed even if this was a guild trap , people had to pick what they wanted to believe in.
She was willing to gain back that hope at any cost, pain and fear will not be the down fall of her. She then started to walk towards the stage, her heart started to pound as she took each step ,every step made her want to stop and turn around but this was something that she wanted. Miki soon found herself a foot away from the stage, she decided to get on the stage and stand before the crowd of people also.
Miki took a deep breath, " I am Miki Stalin , you may not know me or have even heard about me; I am here on this stage thanks to the two brave people I am standing next too. They both gave me something today, that I have not had in a long time and needed;hope this four letter word has so much power I was thinking that I was alone in this world ,losing contact with friends and family is something that haunts me everyday. I started to lose hope in getting back to the real world, this lasted for a whole week; it was so painful,it stung but crying and stressing out about it would have ever change the fact that I was stuck here. I got past the whole idea and started to look at the good side of things, the people of this land live and interact like us, they have emotions and feel pain, just like us. This game has so much life inside of it, and it can be an enjoyable place if make it one. The two men I am right beside has ensured me of this point and they now try to help you guys see it also."
Miki turned to the two men and smiled, a water droplet then started roll down her face "thank you both, I would like you help you both with your cause, even if I would be able to help a little I would like to help."

”I've seen a partial list. There's some nice buff scrolls, some weapon and off-hand equips, trinket slot items... Kind of a weird mash of everything. And inscription modifiers for weapons. Mostly caster stuff. Though I guess anyone can enjoy some MP5.” DiCi explained the items he remembered, but the crafting list was too huge for him to memorize in the short time that he looked it up before starting his stream. It seemed to be one of those late-game sort of crafts, that were minimally useful at low levels. Compared to something like blacksmithing, which could make gear of all levels and be worthwhile to level in parallel to the combat level. But quite frankly, the exploration of new crafts granted by Novasphere seemed a bit more limited than Mechanics, Cooking, or the like. After all, writing hadn't really changed drastically in the real world. He'd have to explore the magical side of it that had no basis in real life technology, like how alchemists had to bang two elements together and hope nothing exploded.
While he contemplated, Endrin managed to draw another player onto the stage, a female of bright red hair. And one who was much more emotional about what she said to the crowd. Apparently he'd set a precedent for people getting on stage and talking to the crowd. Novasphere Pioneers Anonymous. Not that he was going to say anything about it. After all, public speaking took courage, and teasing someone for getting teary-eyed while speaking would be like kicking a puppy; you just didn't do it. DiCi tossed her a friend invite as well. Perhaps in part because he didn't understand entirely how guilds worked. Gaming clans and pro-gaming teams used outside resources to organize their groups, as opposed to any readily available internal thing like a MMO guild provided. That, and his friend list was depressingly empty outside of Endrin's recent add.
A quick look at her level revealed she was in his level range, and a tanking class. Seemed like low levels were a problem that would solve itself. ”You could always work with me so we can raise our levels. The tank-support combo is never a bad choice. Even if you'd rather craft, we can go out to get materials together. Or explore. Whatever else you want to do.” He suggested. For one, it'd keep his squishy arse protected while he got the hang of the game and got his skills up. But it'd also help her in case she over-extended while learning.

He listened as DiCi explained some of the things that Scribes could do. He hadn't heard of any Scribes making buff scrolls or trinkets but it did make a lot of sense. Well, the scroll part did at least. He was curious as to what kind of trinkets a Scribe could make. Would it just be a contract or something like that or would they fold up paper like origami? Though whatever it was he would have to trust in DiCi to find it. Though it seemed like the man was more than willing to discover the limitations he had in this world. He even seemed confident that he would become one of the strongest if his carry comment was anything to go off of. That was good! They needed people with that kind of drive. It was good for London, it was good for everyone involved as far as he was concerned.
And it seemed that he was not the only one inspiring others to step forward. His heart soared upward as another member of the small crowd stepped forward to join them on the stage. Giving a speech of her own, short and passionate. Obviously dear to her heart judging from the tear streaking down her face. His face was transfixed in a soft smile, moved by the genuine show of emotion from her as he brought his right hand over his heart and gave her a courteous bow.
"Lady Miki it would be an honor and a privilege to have you join us on our quest. To see your resolve and passion fills me with so much hope and I am confident that all of us together can make a difference in this city and this world."
He said as he straightened up and clasped a gauntlet clad hand on her shoulder. The crowd had let out a smattering of applause and he was pretty sure that he even heard one guy call out 'Gay' but it mattered not. Some people had been moved to action, and as the crowd began to disperse he opened up his own menu to send Miki a friend request as well. Not that it was needed with a guild list, but as a sign of friendship and solidarity. That they were in this together.
"We will need to head to the Parliament building to make the joining official. But I wish to thank you both and welcome you to No Damage Dealt. My name is Endrin, and I am the guild leader. If you find yourselves in need of assistance do not hesitate to call and I will give whatever aid I can offer."
He extended his offer after DiCi had extended his. Giving the young healer a nod. It was a good idea. Learning how to function in battle as a unit was important and it would give them both a chance to level up. Not only that however, it would allow them to function together as a team better and learn how best to use their abilities.
"I would offer to join you in leveling but I fear my level may suck up all of the experience you would gain from the monsters closest to the city walls. However if it would make you feel more comfortable I am willing to come along to supervise and ensure no nasty surprises jump out at you while you are learning."
He couldn't fight with them without taking the lion's share of EXP away from them. But he could stay out of party and be there in case someone decided to try and PK them or to offer some friendly tips. Though it would be up to them to decide if they needed him there or not.

MY HEART BEATS,BUT WHAT FOR
WORDS:562 Miki flicked the water droplet from her face, then she saw the two friend request one came from Dici and the other from Endrin. She smiled and said "thank you,I would be happy to go on adventures with you DiCi; we are both in the same range of levels so we can try our best to catch up to Endrin". She then started to think that life here has to change, people can not live in fear anymore. Miki then over heard Dici talk to Endrin about his Scribe skill, she had not known anyone one or seen anyone use it in action but the way he made it out to be, made it sound so useful; that is when she decided that she would also need to maybe tell them what skill she plans on training. "Blacksmithing I plan on getting that skill and training it, right now I am a scribe also but I want to change my skills".
Miki smiled and looked at Dici, "maybe we can work together and find some things for you translate and raise your scribe skill and we can also find materials for me use;even if we don't find things for us to use it would be a blast for me to tank for you, also I would like for you to know that I am a guardian but I don't use shields instead I plan on using two swords. This would also be the time I would like to mention",Miki then looked down at the ground "I have to tell them" she said to herself." I am a Berserker, I really have not been in combat since I joined the game so I don't really know the full power of the skill. I all know is that if my health drops below ten percent it will become active; I don't know if I will be able to control myself or start slashing at everything I see." Miki really did not know how they would react to her telling them this. With out giving them time to think about what she said , she tried to change the topic to other things.
"Endrin and Dici I know we just started to talk and all but do you mind if we exchange skill information, Endrin your a guardian so you can help me a lot and Dici your a shaman so you should tell , me some of your skills so don't rush in and get us both killed, some facts like cool-down would be useful." Miki then noticed that maybe she was being a little bossy," sorry if it sounds like I am being bossy it's just that I don't want to drag you guys down. Due to my lack of experience in this game". Miki then started to look at the sky, "Billy where are you when I need you" she said to herself. " One more thing Endrin do you have anymore members in your guild besides us two who plan on joining, also how should we act and would you be so kind to tell us about topics that would make them mad, its just that first impressions are everything to me and I want to step on anyones toes by saying the wrong words or things. This would help me and Dici out so we all get along". Miki smiled and started to walk in the direction of Parliament building, " who knows we may meet some other members who would like to join our little group Dici."

The world kept moving. The rally managed to catch Ichor's attention, although it seemed by the time he was within earshot it was starting to wind down. Somewhere amidst the crowd he heard someone shout out 'Gay!' but the three adventurers who seemed to be the center of attention ignored the jibe. A certain white-haired sorcerer, however, wanted to make it abundantly clear what he thought of the matter but the voice was already lost and the crowd dispersing.
Based on the smattering of muffled conversations he heard amongst the crowd Ichor managed to piece together that this was some call to arms by an idealistic guild. In the real world, Jack Warden would never have bothered but Ichor Duskwaltz was stuck and needed contacts. The monk (tehm ) had yet to respond to his friend request and the assassin had mentioned a need for allies. Surely there were worse groups to fall in with.
The crowd was gone leaving the white-haired Adventurer in the open, making him feel uncomfortable. He scurried to catch up to the trio which had already made its way across the the courtyard.
Excuse me. The group continued, focused on their discussion of skills and tactics. Excuse me, Endrin? Ichor queried, addressing the name of the highest level between the three. The group halted and the sorcerer squirmed beneath the gaze of the three, despite their amiable countenances. I hear you're trying to make a better london. I was wondering if a new sorceror might not be able to make some contribution to the cause. He continued speaking hastily, I admit I've never played Elder Tale before, I just got the game because my friends kept suggesting it to me. I wanted to try it out before I told them so I don't really know anybody but I'm a tailor, if that helps, and a tracker so once I get a little experience I should also be able to scout in the wilderness as well as work as a solid DPS. So I'm sure I could be of some use...
Ichor floundered hoping for one of them to speak and take the pressure out of the situation, even if it was a denial. He gripped the brim of his hat and silently prayed to whatever god might exist in this new world to save him.

Miki's suggestion was a good one. “You know... That's probably the right idea. I haven't seen any quest indicators anywhere. So a materials run would be a good way to give us an additional objective while we're out raising our combat level. Come to think of it though... What does a scribe need to gather from outside? Paper and ink are already manufactured items, right?” He asked, putting a hand to his chin to think on it a bit.
During that time, they had another visitor when the crowd was dispersing. A fellow clothie, though considerably more human in appearance. It was hard to be less human that the werecat race though. He knew he should have designed his own character. Curse his sister for inadvertently locking him into a body that he was in no way used to having! Because obviously this was all her fault. But still, in the here and now, the mage was looking to join up with them.
And another bites the dust! Or rather joins the guild. It was turning into a real party now, as they got another new player. So the guild was sort of turning into a newbie guild. Not a bad thing, either, since everyone was new to the game, really. Its only been running for a short time now. In fact, as he checked over the name of the new guy, he caught the fact that he was a sorcerer. In other words. ”And there's the deeps!” DiCi gave a laugh and flung one more friend request Ichor's way.
”We got the holy trinity of roles. We'll be able to faceroll lowbie content in no time!” He gave a grin to everyone, though Endrin would have to give his little speech and bow first. Then again, he couldn't see the guy leaving Ichor in the dust. That just wasn't his style. Too nice. Again, not a bad thing. It seemed that MMO players were considerably less toxic than typical members of the MOBA community. And that was a good thing.

"I believe in time you can make better inks and papers and quills. As to what difference that would make I can't really say, but it's probably important for higher level things."
Though he had no idea on how to gauge the level of scribe things. One of the reasons he didn't take it. He was sure it was useful, but maybe his mind just didn't think that way. It wasn't as tangible as magitek or blacksmithing in his mind. But he was sure that they would not have made a useless class. He was a bit surprised to see that the young woman who had joined them was also a scribe, but that she intended to switch her class already. Though he couldn't fault her the choice. Perhaps she had come to the same conclusion that he had? And maybe she felt that they would not need more than one scribe in the guild. It was a fair assumption, at least while starting out, but he had no intention of dictating what professions and classes people could and could not be while part of the No Damage Dealt family. She did have a great idea though when it came to material runs, and as DiCi was quick to point out it would give them a secondary objective while grinding out levels. Which in turn would make their time more productive. They were both proactive, and he was liking them already.
"Going over skills is a good idea, though we have time to do that later too when everyone is together. I can help you out as a Guardian but it sounds like you are going a different path than I am. I focus more on defensive abilities. I have taunts and regeneration and things to make my shield better. Whether by stunning my enemies or just making it easier to use and all around better. As for the Berserker subclass I have no experience with that one myself I'm afraid." He said with a small chuckle. "I am an accountant, though I suppose that works out now that I have people to manage and things to keep track of. It was starting to feel a bit lackluster while on my own." He said with a small sigh.
"We do have other members of the guild. A Samurai named Kaizer, a Monk named Hops, a Druid named Rosethorn, and a very energetic Sorcerer named Okami. I wouldn't worry to much about first impressions though, we are a pretty friendly group. And a lot of people are new to this. Well, really all of us are new to this." He said motioning to himself and the world around them. Being dumped here was not something that was advertised on the back of the box. That was for sure. "Just be yourself and I'm sure everyone will like you. Besides, you wouldn't want to hang around with a group of people you couldn't be yourself with right?"
Says the guy who was taking on a whole persona rather than being himself. But appreciating that would have to wait as a new stranger approached and addressed him by name! That surprised him a little and he would stop and turn to face the source of the voice. Another low level player from the looks of it. A nervous one at that. He tried to smile to put the kid at ease, running a gauntlet clad hand through his hair to push it out of his eyes as the boy explained his talents. There was no doubt in his mind that he would take him on. Anyone that wanted to help had something to contribute and he was beyond thrilled with the huge success that today had been! It was hard to believe that they just had three new members join their guild. Perhaps things would start getting better faster than he had thought. Perhaps there were those in this world that wanted to see a land filled with virtue and cooperation rather than selfish squabbles over loot and anything else considered valuable enough to horde.
"It would be an honor to have you join us." He responded with a bow, his right hand moving over his heart as he did so. Straightening up he smiled brightly, beaming at the new little squad that just formed up. A Tankish character with Miss Miki while DiCi was a healer, and their newest addition Ichor would provide damage. "You really know your stuff." He said to DiCi as he commented on the Holy Trinity. "But you're right. You three are the core foundation of a solid party, and by using your talents together low level challenges should be a breeze for you to handle while you master your new skills. As well as being in a party dynamic." He added in.
"As for you young Sir." He said to Ichor. "We have a Sorcerer in the guild named Okami. I'm sure she can answer any class specific questions that you may have. While I'm sure Miss Miki will pick my brain, despite our different styles." He turned back to DiCi. "Unfortunately you are the first Shaman to join us. So we can not offer much in the way of specific advise. But Rosethorn is a Druid and a healer and can probably offer some advice at least in healing and MP management should you feel you need it." He offered.

MY HEART BEATS,BUT WHAT FOR
WORDS:327 Miki was already liking the idea of little team they made, this can work out if we play our cards right;she then crossed her arms and closed her eyes " Ichor I think you are nice and have the idealistic dream we share, you should have came up on the stage with us when we all were talking it would have been a small moment we could have all shared." Miki then sent Ichor a friend request she noticed he had said he was a tailor in his introduction in talking to them,"Ichor do you think you can make me something when you get the needed level ?""I was thinking a robe that can neutralize fire, if you could do this it would be great."
Miki smiled and started to walk off "maybe I am asking to much of you already", Endrin was right about how she was going to pick his brain, she could learn a lot from him even if his style was different then her style of fighting, she would be able to find out reaction time and maybe cool down, limitations of herself. The fact that everyone in the guild were also new to each other it would give them more of chance to bond with each other as new friends. Miki became less worried about meeting her guild mates," Dici and Ichor how do you feel about doing a little combat practice, when we get done signing up with the guild? I really don't have an idea on the things we can do but maybe we can maybe try PvPing ,we can learn how to we move and think through this. Miki knew this was not the best way to find out how they think , but this would help her find out how they react when dealing with a target that thinks like them. If they can handle a person then they sure will not have a problem dealing with NPC's.

I really don't do to well with large crowds. Ichor explained, part of the reason I chose to be a tracker was so that I could explore on my own, even if I hope not to need it too much. The white-haired sorcerer found himself oddly at ease with this group; his heart was slowly returning to a steady beat. Startled by the quick notification of friend invitations, he faltered for a moment wondering if he was ready. With a shake of his head he donned his hat. He could never be more ready than he was now. He added each of the trio to his friend list before noticing the monk Tehm had accepted his request from earlier.
Ichor laughed, I think a little combat practice would be great! I haven't tried fighting yet so it would be good to figure a few things out. But perhaps we should do that tomorrow? That would give us time to talk to a few people and learn more about the system and this world. If you don't mind Endrin, could you be nearby? He continued seriously, Practicing with each other is a great idea before we go out and possibly get mobbed by monsters but I'm just a little worried that someone might see three new adventurers getting low on health fighting each other and decide we look like an easy PK.
In the meantime, the sorcerer thought to himself, I could also explore a bit and look for someplace to practice.
White hair covered Ichor's eyes as he started contemplating the possibility of a flame resistant robe. A robe would take her body slot though. Perhaps a mantle? A cloak or some kind of cape perhaps... That might work, but he still needed to practice before he could make something good enough for a new ally. He smiled, it could make for a good surprise later on.

”True, but the starting levels of scribe are things that basically just have to have money thrown at them. I might have some luck fabricating my own dyes though, pigments are made from plants and bugs. Plentiful outside of here, thankfully.” He discussed with Endrin the ups and downs of early scribe work. Though he still didn't see it as a terribly useful or in-demand skill for the reconstruction project. Not as essential as having a competent gathering team for higher-level materials, at least. Though once London was getting back on its feet, there would be bound to be a market for books and such.
It seemed they were a small guild still, as the described members of the guild were few. But every guild started somewhere. And getting in on the ground floor was pretty beneficial if the guild got going properly and started doing big things. It was certainly better than just going it solo in such an unusual circumstance as this. It seemed he'd have no tutoring player to group with, though that was no problem for him. Becoming a pro gamer had taught him the value of research, patience, and ramming one's face against obstacles in order to overcome them.
It fell to Endrin to notice that DiCi was well-informed, even at his low level. With a mere shrug, he brushed it off with a simple, ”I did a fair bit of research before launch. Plenty of sites had translated guides from the Japanese version running before Novasphere. I also didn't want to look like a doofus while learning the game.”
Miki then suggested they try working on their level after they sign the guild charter. Not a terrible idea, certainly, though the mention of PvP stung him a little bit. ”I think we should stick to creeps for the time being. Lowbies like us don't have a lot of abilities, and utility is key for going up against other players. Besides, open-world PvP doesn't typically grant any experience points. Actually... I wonder if we can get into instanced PvP...” DiCi put his hand to his chin, thinking on that question. Popping open the interface, he didn't see an option for it. But he'd not really used it much. He hadn't been planning on PvPing on Elder Tale, so he didn't research it at all.
