This is the official In-Character Application/Recruitment thread for House of Crowns. There is no posting order, but liquid time is in effect. No two members will be in the same room with Saber at the same time, as to not create any confusion or awkward instances between characters. This means that if Recker posts, wishing to join, and the Dawuntey posts, wishing to join, Dawuntey will not see Recker and they will be at two different instances of time. Saber will still be in front of both players, however. I will post and designate which posts is for what character. Another example of this is if Recker is in a conversation with Saber but Dawuntey also posts, wishing to join. Dawuntey will not walk into the room mid-conversation, but will still be in his own instance. The conversation between Saber and Recker will continue undisturbed. If two players wish to sign up together, please notify me in advance of your posting. You can do this in the OOC Recruitment thread, in the CBox, through a PM, or even in a little note attached to your post when you put it up. As long as I get the message, any way is fine. Now, as for the thread itself, take your time here. Do not feel like you need to rush at all because of how weird and timey-wimey it is. If you have questions IC, ask them. If you want to have your character get acquainted with Saber, the Guild Leader, do so. I don't really want to see someone walk in, say hello, sign up, and then leave. If you wish to do so, that is up to you as this is just an IC Sign-up thread, but by sticking around a little, you have a more realistic entry to the Guild. If you do not wish to have this type of sign-up, let me know. There are various ways of signing-up and getting acquainted, so if you're interested in an alternative or if you have your own just let me know. This thread is mainly for those who have no idea who Saber is but wish to sign up for the House of Crowns and want to handle the simple process of joining up. Beyond the above, if you have any concerns or questions, do not be afraid to get a hold of me. I have various ways of being contacted and am almost always available. If I'm not, you'll know. Below is a list of HoC Members who have posted in the OOC Recruitment thread but have not posted here or have not contacted me (once you post or message me, your name will be removed): VitaeVerin
Do you believe in ghosts? A long, slow breath escaped Saber’s lips, the carbon dioxide materializing in a small fog as the heated air met the chilled world. The Assassin stood atop of the largest building in London, the clock tower Big Ben, and stared across the massive, deteriorated city as the sun began to crest the distant horizon. It was early morning, about zero-five-hundred, and the city was still asleep. There were a few stragglers like himself who were fighting the night off, and very few were successful. Some were just climbing into their beds, some were just returning from distant lands, a handful appeared from inside of their lodges and inns as all early birds did, but Saber was different. His night was full of war, blood, and his mind was still running at its peak. As he stood atop the massive tower, he did so without a single hint of fatigue. His body, adapted to the long and perilous nights which he put himself through, was strong and had been molded into that of a true warrior.
In the beginning, he was weak and powerless in the new world he was in. He had problems walking, sleeping, eating, and could hardly wield a blade effectively. Hunting and fighting here was much different than it was in reality. However, after weeks and months of training constantly and drilling himself, Saber was comfortable. Unlike when he started, Saber could wield nearly every weapon tossed at him, and do so effectively. He could take on a small army by himself. He could stomp through a dungeon and obliterate anything which got in his path, and he could fight for days on end if he was prepared for it. After a long time, Saber had turned his mind into a steel piece of art that was filled with war, and the player’s skills and knowledge showed. His presence was miniscule compared to many, but his actions behind the scenes were beginning to grow. And now, it was time for another stage in his virtual life.
With the sun slowly creeping over the distant edge of the world, it was time for preparations to be set. Saber pulled open his menu, tabbed across to his inventory, and then summoned a stack of flyers. These flyers had the familiar coffin he used for his weapons plastered in the center of the page, with a name branded above it; House of Crowns. Underneath the image of the coffin and the name, there was a small poem, as well as a short description of what the flyer was for. There was also a small location listed that players would be directed to; the Parliament Building. The information provided by the flyer was scarce, but enough. There was the outline of what House of Cards was, what it was going to become, and why it existed. Beyond that, the flyer was just an emblem and a name. Saber wouldn’t put his heart on his sleeve, as only the foolish did so. No, the information provided would be enough for the curious, and no more.
Looking up once more, Saber took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, inhaling the cool, untainted air which lingered in the higher altitude which he was at. Then, he opened his sightlines and dropped towards the city. As he fell, he bounced around the clock tower and maintained a steady falling rate. Controlled and steady, the Assassin descended all the way to the ground, slamming his heels into the paved ground. His health bar flashed but remained full as Saber’s right knee dropped to the ground. While he stood, Saber twirled to his right and threw a flyer at the outer wall of Big Ben. Weighted by a nail, the flyer soared through the air and ultimately found itself stuck on the wall beside the entrance. Once it was set, Saber made his way through the town and dispersed the flyers, scattering them around onto various billboards, bulletins, and handed a few to various contacts he had so that they could disperse the papers among the players who weren’t exactly… publicly known. Many would have frowned on Saber’s decision to do so, but he had fought beside many of these unknowns, and they were just as capable as anyone else.
Once all of the flyers were scattered, Saber made his way to the Parliament building. The doors were still closed, but as six o’clock rounded off on his display, the chains which held the doors closed vanished. Saber planted his hands firmly on both of the large doors and he took in a short breath before stepping forward. His cloak fluttered slightly as the warmed temperature from inside met the chilled air from the outside, and the hood of the player was ultimately pushed down, revealing his stern eyes. The man shoved the doors open, performing an action which two Guards on the opposite side were frightened by. Yet, they were People of the Land, so such a thing did not surprise the Assassin as he strode passed them. The doors swung open, locking into their normal positions during the day as Saber strode into the hall, splitting the difference between the Guards.
“Gentlemen.” The greeting fell from Saber’s lips as he walked by the two men, but they did not answer with their mouths. They stared at the black themed stranger as he made his way to the distant desk. Hovering above it was a small crest, with the word “GUILDS” arcing over it. The two Landers that stood there, holding up the desk, looked at each other cautiously. Then, they watched as Saber took a position in front of them. He pulled out the last remaining flyer he kept on his person and slid it across the desk to the two individuals, pausing for a moment as they looked down at it. Once they read over what the words said and looked back at him, Saber nodded.
“I wish to create the guild, House of Crowns.” Saber summoned forth a small bag of gold and set it down on the top of the desk, sliding it across to the landers.
“And this is the payment.” The two Landers were silent for a moment as they were a bit put off by the seriousness of the player, but one of them eventually reached out and took the money while the other took the flyer.
“U-understood. I assume the information required is on this paper?” The female Guild NPC spoke hesitantly and took the flyer in her hands, reading it over with a much sharper eye this time. Saber nodded again.
“Yes. Everything is there.” At his answer, the woman lowered the flyer to her desk and began transcribing what Saber had wrote onto an official form. It didn’t take long for her to whisk the ink into place, and when she was done she slid the paper over to Saber.
“Sign here on the bottom, please. Upon your signature, you hold the right to the Guild and are responsible for all of its actions and needs.” Saber had already done his research, so what the woman said was unnecessary. Though, to show that this Guild was more to him than just a name and words, the player drew a dagger from his lower back. The Landers took a step back and some of the Guards looked over, but there was no need for an alarm. Rather than attack one of the innocent beings, Saber placed the dagger on himself. He pressed the blade against his thumb and squeezed while sliding the edge of the knife against his skin, splitting the flesh. The action caused the man to wince a little, but the only sign of it was his left eye twitching for a moment. As blood began to leak, Saber removed his dagger and placed his thumb firmly down onto the sheet of paper. The paper flickered for a moment and the blood underneath his thumb shined as it was absorbed into the thin material; House of Cards was his.
Once the pact was made, Saber removed his thumb from the application form and sheathed his dagger. The wound on his finger dissipated quickly and all of the blood which dripped to the floor was turned to pixels. The woman took the paper signed in blood and deposited it into a small folder. Saber’s money was taken into a room out of sight and he was instead given a set of keys; keys which would be his Guild’s rooms. With that, Saber turned away and made his way into the building, disappearing into its halls as he navigated to the designated rooms. Once he reached them, he slipped the key into the lock, twisted, and listened as the large bolt was pulled out and the door clicked. Upon being unlocked, the name “House of Cards” appeared right over the door, signifying that this room was now owned. A moment later, he pulled it open.
Inside was something many would expect. The room was spacious and was connected to the two rooms beside it. There were tables, chairs, two sofas, and a small coffee table between the sofas. There was also a fire pit, two bookshelves (one on each side of the room), and lanterns scattered around the room as to illuminate it. What did surprise Saber was the fact that the room was kept up, and there wasn’t any dust. It looked as if this was the first time anyone had ever entered it, and that made Saber smirk. Without waiting any longer, he entered the room and closed the door behind him. As he strode inside and to the left, he set the privacy settings all to open which would allow other players inside. Once that was finished, he opened the left door and a grin shot across his face.
The left room was an office. There was a large desk in the direct middle of the room with a decent chair tucked in behind it. In front of the desk were two chairs for guests to sit in, and there was a small table off to the left side of the room for a meeting to be held at. Surrounding the room were bookshelves full of various books, but none of them quite interesting; they were the auto-generated type. There was a large window with hanging curtains that allowed in some sunlight and gave a beautiful view of the surrounding zone. On top of the desk, there were a handful of tools one could use for managing the Guild; but it was mainly scribe things. From just looking at it, Saber knew he was going to be spending a few long nights behind it.
With the brief look done, Saber closed the door and set that room to private, disallowing access to the public and even his own Guild Members. Then, he went to the right room, passing by the two large windows and the fire pit in the main room to reach it. Upon opening it, he began to laugh at the sight beyond; it was a bedroom. The room stretched down for almost fifty feet, and both sides of the room were lined with beds, desks, dressers, and storage cabinets. There were lanterns illuminating it, several windows giving a view of the outside, bookshelves, tables with chairs for recreational purposes, and even a small kitchen. It wasn’t much, but it looked to be a place for the Guild to live should it choose to. Saber didn’t walk beyond the door, however, and simply shook his head with a smile as he stepped back into the main room.
“So… this is the start, isn’t it?” Saber whispered to himself as he crossed his arms on his chest. He chuckled to himself and then made his way to one of the windows. From there, he could see out and across London. The Guild was on the third floor, and the windows gave a wide view because of it. Indeed, this was the start. This was the beginning of something Saber had planned since he began. Now that he was strong enough to bear the burden, it was time to take the first step towards his true goal. With that in mind, Saber made his way into his office and opened the door. He unlocked it and kept it open, placing a small weight at the bottom to keep it so. Then, he sat down at his desk and began to work. His first step was taken, the Guild was made. Now, he had to put it into motion…

It wasn’t rare for the pink/red-haired female to wake up early, she was quite the early riser after all. Stepping out of the Inn she had made her ‘home base’ since arriving in this world, she rubbed her eyes sleepily, regretting staying up until what she assumed to be 2 AM training both her main class and subclass just outside the city outskirts. Within this world, the first thing she would do would be to go find somewhere to train her skills, mainly wandering aimlessly around, committing the numerous areas that surrounded Londinium to memory, since she didn’t own a map.
With a yawn and a stretch, something interesting seemed to catch her eye, a new flier on a nearby bulletin board. Curiosity getting the better of her, she took a few steps towards it, silently reading the contents of this new flier. A new guild, it seemed, she had wanted to join a guild for quite some time, this might be just the right one to join. A slight smile forming, she begun to make her way to the Parliament Building, as it was mentioned within the flier- however she returned to the bulletin board a second later, her mind nearly forgetting the name of this guild!
“House of Crowns, huh… I’ll need to remember that, I’d rather not rush back here just to check the name…” Sorano mumbled under her breath, sighing a little at her shockingly horrible memory- it was a surprise that she could somewhat remember what was outside of the city. Running, walking, then running to the Parliament Building, the sun had fully risen by the time she made it there. Pushing one of the doors open, before closing it behind her, she made her way to the counter.
“Um, could you point me to which floor House of Crowns is on?” She asked. Once the Landers pointed her in the right direction, she thanked them before proceeding into the building further. The third floor, it wasn’t too high, or too close to the ground, it probably had a fairly good view of the city too, it was a pretty good place for the guild, or that was what she thought, at least. She made her way up the stairs quickly, yet not so quickly that she would end up tripping on the stairs, while she did like to be quick with things, she didn’t want to chip away a bit of her HP over tripping up stairs, how stupid would that be?
Once she made it to the third floor, she glanced left to right, trying to recall which direction this place was, she might have left too early for the Landers to say it, that was pretty possible. Choosing a random direction, left, she eventually found her destination after a few seconds.
“Hello?” She asked, with a slight knock on the door. After waiting for a moment, she reached for the doorknob, twisting it a little. To her surprise, it opened, she expected it to be locked. Pushing the door open, she poked her head inside, eventually letting herself in when she saw that no one was around.

Do you believe in ghosts? The handful of papers which were scattered on the large desk in the center of the office were few in number, but they had plenty of words and pictures scribbled across them. They were ideas, images, and diagrams or attempts at diagrams as the new Guild Leader worked to find a way to keep his potential Guild organized, while also searching for a way to keep any new members busy. He didn’t expect anyone new to show up for a while, so he took his time. He didn’t rush with anything and simply let his mind work on its own. Slow and steady was his current mentality, and he was doing well with it. Already, he had come up with a decent organization structure, a few focused goals for the Guild to chase after, and a central way of doing things. He also had worked out a better description of the Guild that he could hand to people if they were interested while he was walking around. Though, before he could disperse any of it, he needed to work on his handwriting.
Yet, as necessary as completing the tasks before him were, Saber seriously hated desk work. He wasn’t a pencil pusher in any sense of the word, and had a problem with sitting still. Because of this, Saber had organized the room already to suit his needs a little better. The chairs in front of the desk had been pulled a little closer, the other chairs pushed a little further back, and the window was open. The open space was just enough room for Saber to pace in. There was also tea brewing already on a distant table across the room, forcing the thirsty administrator to get up onto his feet if he ever needed a drink. Sometimes he got up and went over for the heck of it, but other times he actually needed the drink. He brewed a home-style chocolate caramel tea that he grabbed from a foreign merchant from the coastline. It tasted much like hot chocolate, but didn’t leave that horrid after-taste in his mouth. It also tasted a little sweeter, and went down much more smoothly. The tea, mixed with the beautiful sight he had in the window, were enough to keep Saber active and kept his mind set on the work before him.
Yet, to his surprise, his city-gazing was interrupted by a distant knocking. At first he thought he was imagining things, but then he heard a doorknob twist and the door to the main room open. The Assassin raised an eyebrow and used his angle on the open door of his office to see that someone had entered his Guild Lounge. Strange, he didn’t expect anyone so soon… but that was probably fate; unpredictable and always catching one off guard. With that in mind, Saber didn’t keep his new guest waiting too long, nor did he make himself much of a stranger. Rather than try to act like a cool-dark leader, Saber instead made his way to the door of his office and stepped into the threshold, standing there for a moment as he eyed the new appearance; a pink-haired Adventurer. Well, at least she had an interesting color-palette.
“Hello there Miss.” The man spoke aloud to get the woman’s attention. Shortly after doing so, he tilted his teacup to her and then took a sip from it before placing it down onto the saucer his other hand held. He stepped into the lounge and placed the tea-tools down on a small table off to his right. With his hands free, he turned to face his guest.
“How may I help you?”

UNKNOWN SONGS THAT TRAVELERS SING THEY SOUND FAMILIAR TO ME | Arrasi stared at the bulletin board, scanning it for anything that seemed the least bit worthwhile for her. Job postings tended to go quickly, especially those for lower levels players who desperately needed the EXP. There was still the option of chatting up other players until they gave her something to deliver, but after her last mission's unfortunate turn of events, she was far more cautious about approaching other players, especially those that had much higher levels than her. A few minutes of staring at the board yielded no results for her. It was weird – she thought that business should have been booming for her after the Apocalypse. If things were going to get better, items needed to move between players to speed things along. Maybe she just wasn't looking in the right places. There were plenty of other boards around town that she could check. Things would have been so much easier with her brother around; two pairs of eyes would have found work for her much faster. Lately, Arrasi had been growing more and more concerned about her status as a solo player. The freedom to roam around and do things as she liked was nice, but her level was a severe handicap. Plus, she was just a Bard – there wasn't much she could do on her own in the first place. She had been toying with the idea of joining a guild, but she had yet to act on it. She was still standing in front of the bulletin boards. What was the harm in checking out the guild postings before she moved on? Stepping slightly to the right, she began to skim through all the signs on the recruiting board. None drew her interest until she caught sight of a flier with a coffin emblem on it. “House of Crowns, huh?” She hadn't heard of that one before. A lot of the bigger guilds had been on a recruiting spree lately – why they would want more members in this crisis was beyond Arrasi. This House of Cards...Crows....Crowns, whatever it was didn't feel like the others. Besides, its mission statement was perfectly tailored to the new needs that had come forth in the game world lately. It had to be new, and new meant a very, very small population. Arrasi wasn't one for crowds, but starting off small and building to something bigger would work for her, plus she would get the added protection and perks that came with joining a guild. It sounded like a decent idea, and it wasn't like she was getting any help anywhere else. It was just what she needed to get herself out of trying to survive as a solo player. With that thought in mind, she checked the location one more time before turning herself towards the Parliament Building. **** Arrasi had never been inside the Parliament Building before, both in-game and in real life. For a moment she stood in utter awe of the place. It was so big. Arrasi shook her head to pull herself out of her daze. She was here for one thing, and she needed to stay focus. The flier had said that the guild was in the Parliament Building, but it hadn't exactly told her a room or even a floor. There was a counter at the end of the entranceway with a few NPCs standing by. Maybe they knew something. Arrasi's footsteps echoed in the hall as she made her way over to the counter. “Um, pardon me, but would you happen to know where the House of Crowns Guild would be located in this building?” Arrasi asked. Her voice was a little softer than she had intended. She was also rather short compared to the counter – she could have rested her chin quite comfortably on it as she waited for an answer. Her real body was much taller than the one she occupied now, and she was still in the process of adjusting to it, especially when it came to things like counters. Lucky for her, the NPC had heard her soft voice and instructed her to head to the third floor. It took a moment for Arrasi to find the stairs, but soon enough she was traversing the third floor hallway in search of the rooms for the House of Crowns guild. She finally came to a halt in front of a door with the Guild's name printed on it. This had to be the right place. Arrasi's hand hovered over the handle. If she opened that door, she wouldn't be able to turn back. She had never been in a guild before, so she had no idea what to expect on the other side. It wasn't too late – she could turn back and try to keep living on her own. The past few days had been utterly miserable, though. If a guild could fix that, then it was worth the change in her gameplay style. The door opened to reveal a large room with tables, chairs, sofas, bookshelves – all items that made it seem very...homey. Arrasi had been expecting something different. Maybe an armory on the wall and a big meeting table and a throne for the leader. This looked rather normal. After she spent a few seconds taking it all in, she noticed a pair of other players in the room. The names Saber and Sorano blinked into view above their heads. Both were of the Assassin class, but considering his high level, Arrasi assumed that the leader had to be Saber. He was going to be the one to talk to about joining. At least, that's how it was supposed to work, right? “Hello!” Arrasi managed to use one of her cheerful tones she usually reserved for chatting up potential customers. Remembering the situation, she realized that probably wasn't the way she needed to be speaking. “This is the hall for the House of Crowns guild, right?” Better. Her tone had dropped in pitch and sounded much more casual. It wasn't her best attempt at a good first impression, but it would work. |

"Big Ben has to be around here somewhere..." Neon said to himself, twirling his staff in his right hand, spinning it beside him in a windmill as he walked through the streets of London. He let out a soft sigh as he darted his head from left to right, looking out for the large clock tower that he had wanted to visit today. Stopping for a moment, he brought his staff to a halt beside him, standing it upright with the bottom end planted on the ground. "Hmmm..." He hummed softly to himself, bringing his free hand up and over his eyes, pressing it into his brow to shade his vision from the sun's glaring light. He blinked a few times to adjust to the distance as he focused on the large clock tower that he spotted a few blocks away, high up above the buildings around it. With a slow nod, he brought his head back down and began walking again, slowly spinning his staff in a windmill by his side once again, weaving his fingers around it each time it span. His strides became larger as to allow him to move faster, and he began humming a soft tune between his lips as he went, following the pavement to the large tower known as Big Ben. Finally reaching the tower, he was amazed by it's grandeur, it's magnificence, it's little flyer stuck... to the wall... by the entrance... Wait, what? Neon approached the wall slowly holding his staff up off the ground, squinting through his glasses to see what was on it, but all he could make out was a blurry mess. As he got closer and closer, he began to make out the words House of Crowns and an intricate emblem, one that intrigued him immensely, though that may just be his curious nature kicking in. He took the flyer off the wall, reading over it carefully, his eyes darting from side to side as he scanned the words that filled the page in his hand. "This could be what I need..." He said softly to himself, nodding slowly as he looked around, before quickly rolling up the flyer and stashing it, before turning on his heel and making a beeline for where he had memorised the Old Parliament Building to be situated. Reaching the large doors that marked the entrance to the Parliament Building, Neon smoothed out his cloth quickly with his free left hand, his other hand clutching tightly upon his staff. His lips curled into a soft, almost unnoticeable smile as he gently pushed on the right side door, heaving into it to swing it open, revealing the interior. Stepping inside, Neon was instantly in awe of the atmosphere. "It never gets old..." He mumbled softly to himself as he closed the door behind himself, turning to face the rest of the room and stare out at it quietly. "You need somethin'?" One of the Guards, a Person of the Land, grunted to Neon from nearby, as he and his partner stared at him with confused looks. Turning to face them, Neon smiled warmly as he slowly approached them, holding his staff back slightly so as not to seem aggressive. Even now, these People of the Land are still afraid of us... He thought to himself as he approached, lifting his left hand up to twiddle with the rim of his glasses to give it something to do. "Yes, actually," Neon replied in a calming tone, observing the two Guards carefully. "I'm looking for the House of Crowns, I hear they are a recent guild," Neon began, gesturing towards the building with his hand. "I assume, being a guild, that they have a room here. Would you be so kind as to direct me to wherever that room is?" He finished, tilting his head slightly as he awaited their response. The two guards looked at each other, scratching their scruffy cheeks before nodding at one another. The one who had spoken before turned back to Neon, smiling slightly, no doubt due to the rare hospitality he was showing them. "Of course, we'd be happy to..." The guard responded, walking up to Neon and giving him the directions to the room, using his arms to guide his instructions. Listening intently, Neon nodded to each and every word, memorising each instruction carefully. He'd be a lousy Pathfinder if he couldn't follow directions. When the guard had finished, Neon happily extended his free hand out to him in greeting, giving him a beaming grin to show his thanks. The guard hesitantly took his hand, calming as they shook each others and went their separate ways, Neon turning on his heel to follow the first instruction. Continuing to follow the instructions, he passed by many People of the Land, each of them giving him a range of looks; from confusion, to fear, to outright awe. He was a little creeped out, but he understood how it was for them. We Adventurers are foreign entity to them, each of us so different in our motives and abilities... He thought to himself, letting out a soft sigh. Perhaps the relationship between players and NPCs may grow better in the future... We can only hope. Finally, after following the instructions carefully and correctly, Neon found himself at the door he was looking for, clearly labeled House of Crowns, just as the flyer was. Coughing softly, he gently rasped the top end of his staff on the door in a trio of knocks, loud enough for anyone in side to hear... hopefully. Don't want to be rude, make a good first impression for your possible future guild, Neon thought to himself, smoothing out his cloth armour and resetting his glasses onto the bridge of his nose, standing up tall and curling his lips into a warm, joyful smile. "Hello?" He called out softly to the door. "I'm hear about joining the guild known as the House of Crowns. I heard you were recruiting."

-The Following Post is for Neon- Do you believe in ghosts? “I should probably work on that.” Saber scratched the back of his head and stared at the bookshelf which he had decided to try and organize. However, shortly after starting, Saber realized that he had made a grave mistake. The stacks of books he was placing down beside him were so poorly placed and ordered that it was going to take him at lot longer than he planned if he wanted to do it right. It was also going to become quite tedious because he was going to have to completely clean off the shelves, which was against what he initially planned to do. Yet, he was already at the point that putting the books back would probably take just as much work as completing his task. The first three rows of the eight rowed case were empty, and Saber had cleaned them off rather quickly. Putting everything back would take twice as much of the effort.
The initial plan was to clear off the shelves one row at a time and organize each row individually. Though, as Saber thought about it, going row by row individually could confuse someone else. If he was going to make it a useful thing that someone might actually use and not an eyesore, he probably was going to have to organize the shelf by category. The first two rows would be one collection, and the next two would be another collection, and the next, until every two rows has its own genre of books. OR, or, Saber could organize each bookshelf to be a genre. Spanning the room, he had about six different bookcases. One of them could be for horror, another for fiction, non-fiction… The shelves would be set up much like a library would be organized, but that meant work. It also meant that Saber would need time. On top of his current Leader duties, which were very miniscule for the moment, and his personal need to train and practice, organizing bookshelves wasn’t very high on his list of things to do.
“Another time then…?” The Assassin groaned and crossed his arms, letting his thoughts linger for a moment. He let out a low groan and stared at the shelf in front of him, eyeing its contents as he considered just putting this off. But if he did, he doubted he would ever come back to it. If that was going to be the case, then he seriously needed to consider finishing it now, but it was a lot of work. It was also going to be very annoying… but he had to do it. The disorganization in the room was killing him and he found it extremely difficult to find books that he was interested it, even if they were all boring auto-generated lore books. Unlike his own hidden underground library, these books didn’t have a tenth of the information his scholarly books had, and they were pretty much a waste of his time unless he wanted to read up on monsters or items in the game, as that was really the only purpose of these books.
“Screw it.” Saber mumbled and grabbed the first book off the small stack he had made, clutching it between his fingers with the intent of putting it back on the shelf. However, just as he went to take a step onto his small stool, he heard knocking. The attention of the player was pulled from the shelf and he stared towards the front door of the lounge, listening to the three knocks on the door intently. They were followed by a soft voice, a male voice, and it seemed that he was here for the same reason Saber was; the guild. Saber stepped back down off the stool and placed the book he held back down onto the stack.
“One moment please.” The Assassin called back to the door loudly as to announce that someone was alive in the room, and then made his way around the half-dozen stacks of books he had placed and attempted to organize before his mental dilemma occurred. The heels of his boots clicked against the wooden floor as he almost marched across it, and he grabbed ahold of the door firmly once it was within his hand’s reach. He gave it a twist, a pull, and a swing in order to open the thing. As he opened it, Saber stepped off to the side, allowing access to whoever was on the other side. Putting voice to face, Saber figured it was the man standing there, as he was alone in the hall.
“Please, come in and make yourself at home.”

A house for Kings! (441 words)
A new guild was recruiting, Hayato heard. The name was peculiar, but somehow, noble and powerful. "House of Crowns, was it? Seems like i'll be having fun there, haha..." He grinned, approaching the Parliament Building, where he could most likely find this guild's room. The Summoner wasn't nervous, rather, he was excited. Once again, he would be able to find a group of people he could play with, and that would be definitely fun. He remembered the guild he used to belong to, when Elder Tale was still a game. What was it's name, again? He couldn't remember it. But it wasn't a problem anymore. Soon, Hayato would find new allies, that would make the life on this MMO way, way more interesting...
Upon entering the building, the Fox Tail watched it's insides for a while, but there was nothing of his interest there. Searching a bit, he came across a woman, probaly a Lander, which he calmly called, looking at her with his golden fox eyes, sharp and smart. "Hello, lady. I'd like to ask you where i could find this new guild...House of Crowns. It'd be very helpful if you could do so..." A dangerous smile started to form at his lips, clearly showing that he wanted his answer, and fast. He was not high level or anything, but he was strong-minded and controller, so putting a little pressure into someone like her was no big deal. The Lander nervously gave him the instructions, and once she was done, he smiled dangerously, and whispered lowly at her left ear. "Thank you very much." Soon, he followed the directions he was given, grinning sadistically. Playing with other people's minds was so fun...
A minute later, after passing through many halls, Hayato finally reached the door that belonged to the House of Crowns, his hearth skipping a beat when he was about to open the door. But, as soon as he touched the knob, he realized that it was locked. Well, of course it was, he was not even a guild member, how the hell would he simply open the door? That was idiotic of him. Still, he took a deep breath, and gave three sequenced knocks at the door, one after the other. No one actually responded, so he knocked once more. Yet, no response. Maybe there was no one inside? He tried to open the door, even though he knew it would be locked, and for his surprise, it wasn't. "Oh my...Ahem...Hello? Is there someone here?" There was no one to be seen. It was weird, but Hayato waited a bit. Something was about to happen...

"Screw it," Neon raised an eyebrow as he heard a voice from inside, scratching his scalp through his hair as he tried to figure out what was going on inside by the sounds coming through the door. Must be a busy day in there today... He thought to himself, shrugging his shoulders as he moved his staff forward, going to knock again, when he heard the voice again. "One moment please." He let out a soft sigh, nodding to the door and waiting patiently for the person on the other side to open it. He tilted his head slightly towards the wood of the door, trying to hear more of the sounds coming through, but all he could hear was a hazy ruckus of moving about and objects being replaced here and there. He blinked in surprise as the door opened, catching a glimpse of the man inside before he stepped to the side with the door. "Please, come in and make yourself at home," He heard the man say. He stood for a moment, staring inside at both the interior of the room and the man himself, before nodding slowly and moving forward, stepping into the room and to the side slightly to give the man room to close the door. "Thank you kindly, sir..." He replied, trailing slightly after realising he did not know the man's name. He turned on his heel, looking around at the room itself, nodding slowly as he scanned over each object in the room. "A nice place you have here..." He said softly, walking out to the middle of the room, the bottom of his staff lightly tapping on the ground with each step he made. Finally finished scanning, he turned on his heel once again to face the man from before, his lips curled into a smile, planting his staff on the floor gently and leaning on it slightly as he extended his free left hand out to him in greeting. "A pleasure to meet you, sir, I am Neon," He said softly, waiting for the man to take his hand. "Judging by the fact you are the only one here, I'm guessing you are the Master of the guild known as House of Crowns?" He asked inquisitively, tilting his head to one side to emphasise his curiosity. Not waiting for the man's response, he nodded slowly to himself, as if answering his own question. "Well, as you know doubt heard me earlier when I stood outside your door, I have come to ask for permission to join said guild. If you'll have me." He smiled again, almost grinning now, as he continued to lean against his staff, looking over the man through his glasses.

Strolling through town, I pass many things. People, objects, shops, statues, though I search for a bulletin board. I heard this game had guilds, and join one would be beneficial. Though I would rather create one, but seeing as I was low level I might not get satisfactory results.
After strolling around town, I finally found a bulletin board. Several fliers were up, most seem to have been up for quite awhile. Though one looked recent, in which I began to read it.
"House of Crowns, it could turn out to be a decent guild." I thought taking note of where it was located. Slowly I made my way there.
"Saber is the house master, currently. Then you have Officer Division. Then there are three divisions below that. Expansion, Research, and Quest." I thought all while navigating the city. "I could join the Expansion, with my pathfinder class. Quest could also be a choice, I could carry out task for the guild. Though I doubt I will provide anything into Research. It also said I would be able to help the other Divisions."
After pondering to myself, I nearly missed the place. Cautiously I walk up to the door and knock. "Hello." I say loudly, "I'd like to speak with Saber, I saw that the guild was recruiting. If possible the Quest Division interested me."

-The Following Post is for Hayato- Do you believe in ghosts? Very slowly and steadily, the quill and ink combination made its way across a collection of various pages on the desk before the sole humanoid figure in the room. A cloak was hung in the corner on the wall, a scar draped around it, and there was tea brewing on the table beside it in the corner. A few books had been placed beside said tea and one was left open. In the air, a happy go-lucky Mini-Jack floated about while a Lamp hummed and hopped around the room, eventually making his way out into the lounge due to the door being open. At the desk, the lone player wiggled his nose and leaned back in his chair, eyeing the strange wording he had placed onto the paper. The man was Saber, and he was attempting to find a way to handle a situation he had come to be familiar with.
Upon creating his Guild and stabbing flyers up everywhere, his Guild’s name had seemed to have spread very quickly. A handful of people had shown up already, but that wasn’t the issue. The situation Saber was having issues with was the number of “Guild Quests” that were appearing. At first, it was only a small trinkle of things to do and the list was manageable. Saber had done many of them himself because of a small number of players already showing up, but now it was getting a little out of hand. Rather than only be handed three or four pages of Quests upon his morning scouting of the from desk, House of Crowns had been handed a stack. That stack was sitting off to Saber’s right, and after going through them all, the player knew that he had a problem on his hands; he might’ve jumped the gun a little with those flyers.
People and Adventurers were calling upon the House to take care of various things, large and small, but Saber didn’t have the manpower to do it all. Nor did his Guild have the strength. Personally, Saber would have loved to have a bunch of higher-leveled players in his Guild, but with the flood of new and low level players, he was content. Higher level players would have made things easier when going through the stack, but the number of lower players had a much larger advantage; potential. The potential of the low levels was much higher than that of a higher level because they were either just getting their feet wet, or had finally become brave enough to step forward. Saber could mold these new players into fine Adventurers with the right training and guidance, and he could show them the same world he fell in love with when he started. Knowing that, Saber was happy that he didn’t have any higher levels.
In addition; the lower levels wouldn’t be as difficult to maintain. He could supply them with a lot more than he could stronger players, further influencing their abilities to better themselves. As a blacksmith, Saber could make lots of equipment for some of the lower levels to use, rather than be forced to outsource to some other crafter. From the list of the people whom had already signed up; he already had one player who was a tailor. The others were mainly scribes and such, but that was quite fine. Maybe they could help with the paperwork.
The thought of making his underlings do his dirty work made Saber chuckle, but he wasn’t so mean as to do that. He simply waved that thought away and closed his eyes for a moment. Yet, just as he started to take his break, he heard a knock. His eyes opened and he stared towards the ceiling as he listened to the door outside his office open, followed by another one of those soft, curious greetings. Then, he heard something else…
“SIR! YOU HAVE A VISITOR!” …Harold. The little lamp Saber had tamed during one of his underground dives, shouted from the bedroom he had somehow wandered into. Saber sat upright immediately and watched as the Lamp bounced his way into the lounge, hopping with his familiar wet-boot squishy noise. Saber made a hard, breath-holding face and stared through the door as he listened.
“Good afternoon! My name is Harold, Harold the Brilliant! Welcome to this beautiful place of surprises and lore!” Saber planted his hands on the desk and shot a glance over to his right, checking to see where Blumpy had floated to; he was on top of a bookshelf, nestled in pretty happily above where the tea was brewing most likely because it was warm there. Then, his eyes went back to the lounge.
“HAROLD! THEY CAN’T EVEN UNDERSTAND YOU!” Saber shouted, and the Lamp hopped across the room and up onto the coffee table, turning its lightbulb to ths left to face where Saber was standing. “I was simply answering the door, Sir. You have a guest!” A short but heavy exhale came from Saber’s mouth and he shut his eyes, reveling in his own mistake. He had let the two creatures out of the void and allowed them to roam his office. He never thought Harold would actually find his ways out of the room or exceed the boundary he had set. The man was obviously wrong; this Lamp was one curious little bugger, even though only a handful of people could probably understand or read what he was saying.
“Thank you, Harold.” Saber called out sarcastically as he walked around his desk and into the lounge, stepping through the threshold as he stared the Lamp down harshly. Harold simply sat there, most likely holding a smug expression in whatever world his real body was at.
“You are quite welcome, Sir!” After that, the Lamp proceeded to bounce away, humming again as he made his way back into the bedroom area. Saber rumbled to himself and turned his eyes to the new person who had arrived; blue hair, fox ears, Hayato, low level. Beautiful.
“Sorry about that. How can I help you, my friend?” Saber finally said, acknowledging the other being in the room once his annoying little Butler-Lamp-Assistant wandered out of his sight.

-The Following Post is for Neon- Do you believe in ghosts? The sound of a clicking staff alerted Saber fairly quickly, and his eyes dropped down the male who walked through his door. He stared at the object for a moment and then looked for some sign of a limp, but there wasn’t any. Saber made a bit of a confused, or puzzled, look, and then looked at the back of the blue-fuzz hair that the new arrival had. If that Staff wasn’t a cane or anything used for walking, then the only other alternative was that this man was some kind of magic user. Whether that was a Sorcerer, Druid, Cleric, Summoner, or Echanter, was to be determined but one thing was for certain; this man seemed very comfortable in the world they were in. He walked right into the room, didn’t stumble, and didn’t wheeze. His eyes drifted immediately around the area, sucking in his surroundings and he made himself quite familiar with the Lounge before finally turning around to face Saber. The Assassin chuckled a little at the sight and then closed the door he was holding open.
The man introduced himself as Neon and extended his hand for a shake. Saber obliged and returned the move, but didn’t say anything yet as his guest continued, making a bold observation as he called Saber the master of the Guild. Sure, that was true, however Saber wouldn’t call himself a master of anything. He may be the leader, but he was simply the overseer of everything, yet he didn’t deny it either. Saber simply crossed his arms on his chest and listened to the fellow give his reasoning for entering Saber’s second-home. Thankfully, this Neon character got straight to the point, making Saber very quickly aware of why he was here. That was good, very good. At least he didn’t make up any lies or beat around the bush; Saber liked that.
“Well, first you are correct. I am the Leader of this Guild but I would not call myself a Master by any means.” Saber uncrossed his arms and began to walk to the left side of the room, waving the new player to follow him as he walked and talked.
“My blood is on the parchment, but I simply make sure everything runs smoothly and my members have things to do, as there’s plenty of that.” The Assassin let out a disgruntled sigh as he passed through the open door into his office, walking straight to his desk where his pile of papers had been left before he ended up being distracted with the bookshelf, which was still a mess out in the Lounge. Saber walked around to the opposite side of his desk and pulled open one of the lower drawers to his left, exposing the stack of papers inside; contracts. He pulled one out and placed it down on his desk, sliding a quill and ink over to it before standing back up and looking towards Neon again.
“My name is Saber, and I am the leader of the House of Crowns. My goal in making this guild is simple; ensure the peace of this land and further our knowledge of its inner workings. I will do whatever it takes to do both, and I expect all of my underlings to do the same. I will supply you with things to do, I will supply you with the tools that you will need to be successful, and all I ask in return in that you complete the tasks presented to you to the best of your ability. Should you fail, do so with the knowledge that you gave it everything you had, and return to me with your head up. I will not accept excuses, and I will not greet a hanging head back in my hall.” As he finished his small speech, Saber grabbed onto the quill which sat in the ink and flicked it lightly inside the container, ensuring that it wouldn’t drip. Then, he extended it to Neon.
“Should you accept these terms of mine, sign your name at the bottom. On the flyer you most likely read, there were three divisions listed and explained on it. If you have one in mind already, note that on the line below your name.”

It was about noon by the time Ame left her quaint little shop, opening the door to the outside world and welcoming it with a smile. She had been busy getting her Cafe in order as she hoped to have it up and running by the time Christmas rolled around but she figured the season was nearing and she had little time to prepare it. She had purchased it no too long ago and had been busy with many events and other things that she hadn't really had the time to find a good woodcrafter or a decent tailor to create the table cloths she had in mind. Time was becoming of the essence and it was going by fast. Not to mention, she had left her guild recently, not because she didn't want to be apart of it, or because she didn't like anyone in it, to be truthful, they were a wonderful group of people, but since she had joined they hadn't really done anything together and she didn't want to be apart of it for namesake only. No, she wanted the guild she was apart of to be closely knit, to do the things it had promised her and not to mention, the only things she wished to do other than events and quests and adventuring, was to cook. Aeryn had it's cook and it's maid and they had even built a cafe. She didn't want to be the sole guild chef or anything, but that's what she loved to do and since the job had already been taken long before she had joined, she hadn't felt as though it could be her home.
She sighed lightly, feeling bad for leaving the guild. She took the small coin out of her inventory and stared down at it. Tobin had given it to her in Sarum when they worked together there. She sighed and put it back in her inventory. "I suppose I'll give it back when I see him again." She hoped none of the guild members would hate her for wanting to experience more than just being there, but she knew some bitter feelings were bound to spring up, thus why she didn't want to ask the guild leader to make her table cloths. She was sure that he would be mad at her, but it didn't matter now. She had left and was on a new mission to find her new home, one she could actually feel apart of and just like that, she was smacked in the face by yet another flier. She didn't know why things like that kept happening, but it was how she found out about a bunch of stuff that had happened in her time being here. It would literally hit her right in the face. She took the flier and held it out in front of her, staring down at it. "House of Crowns.." She raised her left brow as she looked at the insignia. She had seen that coffin somewhere, she could recall it in memory, but for some reason, she just couldn't figure out where. She pursed her lips and her mind and shrugged her shoulders. "I suppose I should at least go and check it out.." She nodded her head and then took off towards the Old Parliament Building.
As she stood in the front of it, she looked up and then around. She could see adventurer's and Lander's alike scurrying around about their every day lives. She herself had been here many times and the building seemed to introduce a lot of friends to her over her time being here. It was a place she knew she could come to to start a new so as she took a step inside, she felt a feeling of security. Perhaps this, House of Crowns, could be the place she had been searching for. She was given directions from a sweet man, a gentleman of sorts who had been placed near the Guilds section of the Building. As she bowed her head to him and flashed him a smile she headed to the place he had told her to go. She took in a deep breath as she came to the door and stood in front of it. She knocked a few times and then turned the knob and entered the room calling out, "h- hello?"

Neon smiled as the man shook his hand, noticing his silence as he talked. Good, he thought to himself quietly. He listens. I can work with this. He nodded slowly once he had finished speaking, continuing to lean on his staff as he waited for the man to speak. "I would not call myself a Master by any means," he heard the man say, causing him to blink in surprise, bowing his head slowly. "My apologies, I did not mean to offend," Neon quickly responded, bringing his head back up to curl his lips into a smile, becoming quiet as he listened intently. An intriguing man, to say the least... He nodded slowly as the man gestured for him to follow, picking up his stride once again and following close behind him to hear as much of what he said as he could. "I see..." Neon responded as he continued to walk and talk, his eyebrow raised at the mention of his blood on the parchment. He signs in blood... He realised, scratching his scalp through his hair as he watched the back of the man's head. How very... traditional... He chuckled softly under his breath, tilting his head slightly as he listened to him speak. "I have no doubt we'll have plenty to do. Given that this is a fairly new guild, I'd imagine you, and most likely I, would be very busy for the next few months." He nodded slowly to his own comment, continuing to follow the man as they ventured through into his office. Good lord, it's almost as messy as the room we were just in, and that's no small feat... He thought to himself as he looked at all the papers strewn about on the desk. Neon watched intently as the man moved to his desk and revealed a stack of papers. From what he could see of them through the mess, it was clear they were some form of contract. Interesting... very interesting. Neon moved to the opposite side off the desk as the man placed one of the contracts down on it, setting his staff against the desk beside him so as to free his hands. He curiously watched the quill and ink as the man began his speech. Saber, he introduced himself as finally. An interesting name to have. Neon nodded along, looking back up and listening quietly to Saber's speech, his lips curling into a smile slowly by the end of it. "Very well, I accept," Neon voiced, so as to add emphasis to his signing, taking the quill extended to him and bringing it down to the page, signing across the solid line with his name. "I do indeed have something in mind..." He added, as he wrote down Expansion Division on the line below his name. Gently placing the quill back down on the page, Neon quickly put his left hand up to stop Saber before he continued. This needs more grandiose... He thought to himself, as he took his staff up again with his right hand, holding it straight up. Seems lacklustre simply signing a contract... With that, Neon brought his left thumb up to the top of his staff, running the flesh against one of the sharper parts, wincing as the skin broke and began to bleed slightly. "Blood on the parchment, yes?" Neon inquired, chuckling softly as he brought his thumb down on the contract beside his name, imprinting his blood into the page.

While she waited, the female begun to impatiently tap her foot against the ground, folding her arms over her chest. Letting impatience get the better of her, she proceeded to step further into the room, a little ways away from the door, towards the window on the other side of the room. A slight smile formed as she viewed the scenery from the window, she certainly couldn’t get a view like this from the single, small sized, window in the room she was renting back at the inn. As she stepped back away from the window, she walked over to one of the bookshelves, only to have someone speak to her. Turning on her heel, she faced this individual, taking a few steps towards them before coming to a stop. “Hello,” Sorano responded, nodding her head a little as well. He seemed to be an Assassin, much like herself, yet the difference in levels was quite high- primarily since Sorano stayed within Londinium for quite a long period of time, too afraid to even attempt to level up, for whatever reason. But that was in the past, she wanted to level up now, so she would be strong enough to help others who weren’t as strong as her. “I assume you’re the Guild Leader, right? Well, I’d like to join the-“ The female was cut off mid-sentence, hearing the door open, she moved her head to see what was happening, or rather, who had entered, she was pretty curious after all. She raised an eyebrow slightly, remembering back to when she was creating her character on this server, how she was close to choosing Bard, yet she didn’t know how to play an instrument, so she went with Assassin. It was a pretty good decision on her part, with what had happened and all. Just as Sorano opened her mouth to finish her sentence, the blonde spoke just before she had a chance to, causing her to exhale a little, giving a slight nod in response to her question. UNKNOWN SONGS THAT TRAVELERS SING THEY SOUND FAMILIAR TO ME |
Arrasi suddenly got the feeling that she was interrupting something important. Two pairs of eyes were looking at her, and she suddenly began to feel very, very uncomfortable. It didn't help that both of them were Assassins, a stealthy class that Arrasi couldn't even begin to wrap her mind around. Every other Assassin she had played with in other games had had slightly...odd personalities. A guild led by one, though? Maybe he would be the exception to her experiences, along with the other girl standing in the room.
Arrasi gently closed the door behind her more out of courtesy than anything else. At least the nod from the Assassin girl had confirmed her earlier concerns – she was definitely in the right place. Now Arrasi had another problem: how did one go about joining a guild? It would have been easier if she had just been sitting in front of her computer, but was there actual paperwork to be signed now that she was literally standing in the guild hall? It didn't feel like it would be as simple as pressing a “Request to Join” button. Nothing was as simple as that anymore. The only person with all the answers was the white-haired boy standing at the other end of the room.
“I'd like to join this guild, if that's alright,” Arrasi said. Remembering the situation, though, she quickly added, “But by all means, finish your conversation. I can wait. Uh...sorry for interrupting.” Now that she thought of it, she really should've knocked first. Wait, did people even knock on guild hall doors? Was that a thing? No, stop. This was getting way too complicated in her head. She was just trying to join a guild, that was all. It would all start to make sense in due time; she just had to get through this part first.

-The Following Post is for Zedahael- Do you believe in ghosts? With a flick of his wrist, the weapon which lingered in Saber’s hand shot across the room. The slim, slender object which was about the size of a small knife, soared through the air for just barely a second before a loud, echoing thud spread itself out into the large lounge area. Hanging from the wall was a new addition to the lounge, a floating piece of solid wood, and it made for a fine dart board. Saber didn’t paint it or have it marked, but the swirls and spirals of the wood itself were done up in such a way that he didn’t exactly need to do anything at all. Though, many of those swirls and spirals were already cut and split because of Saber’s activity already and because of his powerful throws. He didn’t have to be so aggressive, but it was almost instinct. Yet, his powerful blade toss was a work in progress. Before he let himself worry about his angry throws, he worked on his accuracy and precision.
For the most part, he didn’t miss. He was extremely consistent with hitting the board and even after thirty throws; he was still very close to on target. That was all he cared about. He would rather miss the bull’s eye and hit the board than whiff completely, and he kept that in mind with every toss. Even now, after what seemed like an hour or so of just standing and throwing, his knives were impaling themselves into the wooden strip. Fatigue had set in a little and he did let out a yawn a little while back, but he was quite entertained for the most part. Being in the lounge got Saber away from the pile of paperwork which had already got itself stacked up and it let him keep an eye on his pair of fools; Harold “the Brilliant” and Blumpy. They weren’t very mischievous, but they had proved themselves to be quite the curious bunch and always seemed to be knocking into things or poking at stuff… like now…
“Blumpy… Don’t shake the chandelier.” Saber didn’t have to look up to know that the little orange orb was curiously floating about the light decoration which hung in the center of the room. The little pumpkin was humming, whimpering, hissing, and squawking to itself as it look at and floated around the hanging decoration. Its owner rumbled to himself and threw another knife at the wooden slab. A moment later, Harold bounced around the couch and looked up to see the knife stab itself into the chunk of once-living natural flesh. The little creature’s lamp shade twisted slightly, and then Harold looked over towards Saber.
“Well done, Sir!” Not really, the knife was off the mark by almost five inches by four; putting it quite a distance from the bullseye. However, Saber still nodded in thanks and pulled up another knife, flipping it so he could grip onto the tip of the blade rather than the handle. As Saber prepared to throw it again, he heard a knock. The sound made him pause for a moment and he froze in place, letting his eyes drift to his left as a voice called out from the other side. Said other side was the hallway of the parliament building, and very few players would be knocking without a reason. Thankfully, this man seemed to be here for the same reason Saber suspected; his Guild. With that in mind, Saber made his way to the door and twisted the knob, pulling on it slightly so that it would swing open. He stood a few paces back from the threshold and looked straight ahead, and then up. At that moment, Saber’s nose wiggled; this guy was a little taller than usual.
“Come on in, fellow. Close the door behind you.” Saber raised his dagger up beside his head and wiggled it between his fingers as he walked and talked, turning away from the door and heading towards the center of the room. As he walked, he flicked the dagger to his right and caused it to strike the wooden knife board, hitting just off to the right of the bullseye.
“I am the Saber which you seek, and yes, House of Crowns is recruiting. However before I let you sign up, I’d like you to give me one reason for your signing.” Saber stopped in the center of the lounge, turning about on his heels so that he could face the newcomer in his home. Though, his patient stare lasted for only a moment before he caught a glimpse of Harold bouncing back behind the couch and over towards a shelf. Saber rumbled a little, but then turned his attention back to the other man.

-The Following Post is for Kitty- Do you believe in ghosts? “Your ideas are always the best…” Saber tightened up his stomach and let out an internal groan, stiffening up and making a flat expression in the process. Trouble was his middle name, and it seemed like it was making its presence known again. How? Well, there was this little ram thing in front of him, maybe the size of a tiny dog, and it made its “baaah” sound in a very… angry… manner. Saber stood there, staring at it, as it kicked the dirt beneath its feet in an offensive way. Was it really that bad to walk by with bread and not share?!
“Uh…. No? Good… sheep?” Saber held out his hands and leaned down a little, attempting to reach for the little guy in a much more friendly manner. Yet, the ram would have none of that stuff. A moment later, it let out its angry yelp and charged with all of its might. Saber took a step back as the thing rushed him and tried to grab the little still developing horns, except he whiffed and misjudged the ram’s speed. Saber’s eyes shot open and the little ram bucked, slamming its head directly into his left shin. Saber let out a pain shout and hopped backwards, kneeling down so that he could grab onto his limb; pain seared through his body and it honestly felt like the little bastard had broken his shin! Though, his hands said that was untrue as the bone was still in one piece, but it still hurt like all hell. But, that was also when Saber realized his mistake; his attention was do—
BAAAH! SMACK “AAAH!!”
The Ram shoved it hard, boney head right into Saber’s face, plowing into his nose and upper part of his mouth. The Assassin reeled back in fright, surprise, and pain all at once, letting out a loud yell as he slammed down onto his back. Saber closed eyes eyes and let out a pained noise as he lay there, defeated mentally by the tiny animal. The little Ram scoffed at the high level Assassin and kicked dirt at the man, victoriously, before nabbing the plastic covered loaf of bread and strutting off. Saber sat up and watched the little thing walk away and considered taking its item back, but instead pulled out a knife. Rolling up onto his feet, Saber quickly caught up to the Ram and nabbed his bread. Seeing it, the Ram growled loudly and bleated at him with the mouthful of plastic. Saber growled back and tugged, yanking the bread from its jaws. The Ram quickly turned to chase the loaf, but Saber placed his free hand onto the center of the Ram’s head, holding it at bay.
“Stop it.” Saber said aloud, but the Ram continued to shout at him. The Assassin was going to say something more, but he was cut off as the creature snarled at him before speaking.
“Give me that loaf! I need it!” The Goat pleaded, or well ordered, and Saber sighed. He gave the little creature a hard shove and held up a finger. The finger did the trick and the Ram stopped, but continued to look angrily at the player. Saber lifted his knife up and the Ram took a step back, but the blade wasn’t pointed at him. Rather than gut the Ram, like he sort of wanted to, Saber cut the tie which held the bread wrapped up and untwirled it. Then, he pulled out the loaf and sliced it in half. One half, he placed out for the Ram to take. The other half, he deposited to his inventory, putting it into a place that the Ram could not ever reach.
“If you had just asked, I would have shared, little one… That half is yours. Go on before I change my mind.” Saber chuckled and patted the little Ram on the head before getting up and moving away from the creature. The Ram looked at Saber for a moment, then at the bread, but then shouted a thankful noise at the Adventurer. Saber simply waved his hand in the air and kept walking, pulling his cloak around himself as he made his way back towards the Parliament Building.
On his way into the building, he caught sight of a familiar backside and hairstyle. Though, it was only a glimpse at first. It wasn’t until he was actually inside the building that he confirmed the sighting; it was Kitty. However, her reason for being here was unknown. In order to find out, Saber didn’t approach her. He simply stood at the door and watched from a distance, eyeing the woman as she talked to the NPCs at the Guild desk. He opened his inventory and summoned a piece of candy, unwrapped it, and then popped it into his mouth. It was a small chocolate orb with a hard, frozen, cherry flavored core. As the chocolate would melt or break off in his mouth, the cherry flavored cube would gradually melt and seep out through the cracks. It was a yummy little treat, and gave Saber something to gnaw on as he watched the pretty woman get directions to somewhere.
“Can I help you, Mister Saber?” One of the Guards had taken notice of Saber’s hesitation, but the Assassin only shook his head, waiting only another moment before taking a step forward; Kitty was leaving.
“I’m beyond help, my good man. I appreciate it though.” With that, Saber left the entry area and followed the sound of Kitty’s light footfalls all the way up to the third floor, and then stepped out into the hall she stopped at. He looked right first, and then looked left once he noticed that she wasn’t there. The familiar figure of the woman came into view, and Saber turned to chase. When she stopped at a door, Saber stepped across the hall and quietly made his way up behind her. As he did so, he realized the familiar sight of where he was. The door she knocked on wasn’t just any Guild Door; it was his.
“I get attacked by a hungry sheep and then I see this? My luck must be fabulous today.” The sarcastic voice Saber gave off in his own mind was a little rough, and he shook his head to ward off the annoying feeling. He walked right up behind the blonde and looked at the name on the door; House of Crowns was illuminated and hovered there in all its glory.
“House… of… Crowns…” Saber suddenly read out loud, his eyes steadily reading the words there, his voice slow as if it was his first time reading it. Then, as if expecting Kitty to jump and run because of his sudden appearance, Saber quickly wrapped one arm around her waist and grabbed the door knob, twisting and pushing the door open. Thanks to him leaving it open, he didn’t have to access the interface, making this situation even better for him.
“Well, since we’re here!” Saber ignored any complaints and shouts of fright that would have most likely come his way and simply lifted Kitty off the ground some, carrying her just inside of the room before quickly closing it behind him. Once the door was closed, he released the blonde beauty and separated himself from her.
“Hello! Anyone home?!” Saber shouted into the halls, pushing his hands into his pockets as he strode into the middle of the Lounge. His eyes circling the room as he blatantly ignored Kitty for a moment, but then he turned and looked at her, rolling the candy from one cheek to the other.
He grinned.

Waiting for a short while the door finally opens. I smile warmly at that I presume to be Guild Master. Shortly he confirms what I was thinking. Offering me to come within, but to shut the door. I follow the reasonable request.
They move into what seems to be a lounge, the leader then throw their knife into a wooden board, which floats about. He introduces himself and asks a question.
"One Reason to sign up." I repeat in my mind, as Saber stares at me. Though his gaze shifts often.
"Only one reason? That is all you ask?" I question to him, he seems to nod at this, producing another knife to throw. Watching as it hits the board. The blade just inserting to the left of the bulls eye.
"So many answers to this simple question. How to respond."I ponder, as another knife whistle to the board. "Got it!" I hold my hand open to Saber, hand with another knife. With a question on his face he set the knife in my hand.
"The one reason I will give you, after thinking, is." Carefully flip the knife to hold it as Saber. Then I aim for the board, and throw the knife. "Was this the right thing to do, we will soon see." It hit the bulls eye. "Is that we all need practice, and I believe I can practice my skills here with the help as one as yourself. Guild Master Saber." I kneel before him, bow my head, and place my fist pushing against the floor. As I finished a knife feel out of the board, I already know it's the one I put into it. "For we all need practice. Sir."I then await for Saber to reply.

-The Following Post is for Neon- Do you believe in ghosts? His fellow Adventurer smiled in response to Saber’s words, and that made the Guild Leader feel a little better about himself to be honest. He thought he would have made the low-level player change his mind because of what Saber had said, but it seemed to attract the fellow even more. Well, that was debatable but this Neon-character seemed quite enthusiastic about taking the signing tool out of Saber’s hand and then lowered himself to the small contact without questioning the Assassin further. As Saber watched him sign, it seemed that Neon also had an idea of which Division he wished to be placed into; the Expansion Division. That confused Saber, as he honestly thought that Neon was going to write down that he wished to be a part of the Research Group because of how the man was dressed. Saber grimaced as he was proven wrong. Neon was yet another example of “don’t judge a book by its cover”. Either way, no matter what Division Neon picked, Saber would accept the new member whole-heartily, and he did.
However, what Neon did next made the Assassin look at the Staff-wielder a little warily. The man not only signed the paper, but performed pretty much the same motion Saber had when he created the guild. The Mage cut his thumb, and caused himself to bleed. He then placed the bloody appendage down onto the sheet of paper, staining the Membership contract with his own body fluid. The feeling Saber was having was probably the same one those Landers had received when he performed the same motion, but this time he didn’t try to run. Saber simply chuckled and took the paper once Neon was done with it. With the contract complete, Saber opened up his inventory and performed the system action of sending the new member a formal Guild Invite to the House. As Neon would take care of the notification, Saber placed the contract into the designated drawer which was marked “Expansion Div”.
“With all of the formalities done…” Saber started as he closed the drawer, standing back up as it closed. He didn’t extend a hand or anything like most people would have, but instead looked down at the papers on his desk and his eyes narrowed. He scanned a few of the scribbled-on pages, but it didn’t take long before he found what he was looking for; another sheet of paper. Lovely.
“Welcome to the House, Neon.” This time, Saber reached out for a formal handshake. His would be firm, and quite cold as his body had adapted slightly to the lower temperature zones which the higher level and more deadly beasts lurked in the world. After they had shaken hands, Saber would pass the paper he held over to Neon; it was a mission order.
“Now, I don’t wish to jump on you so quickly, but I already have something I’d like you to take care of if possible. I actually have quite a few things. On that paper is a list of duties for your Division. In the next few days, I’ll be putting up a board and all of the tasks for the various Divisions will be placed there, including the Expansion’s. You don’t have to do it now, but within the next few days, take a moment to read over the posting. Be sure to also take a gander over the other papers which will be posted up.” Saber then stood upright and crossed his hands behind his back, standing stiffly but in a quite relaxed manner as he did so.
“That being said, I once again welcome you to the House. Should you need anything, do not hesitate to contact me.”

Neon raised an eyebrow at Saber's reactions to his signing, noticing his grimace as he put down which Division he had wanted. He couldn't help but smile a little at the uncomfortable look he had brought out of the man in front of him as he had imprinted his own blood onto the paper. He must not be used to it happening to himself, he noted in his mind, standing up and pressing his thumb into his palm, rubbing his hands together quickly to remove any traces of blood from them. He pinched his thumb with his other hand, sealing it tight and waiting for the wound to stop bleeding before repeating his hand rubbing. Once he was ready, he grasped his staff again, holding it upright in his right hand beside him. Noticing Saber's gaze turn to his desk, he followed suit, looking down at all the papers that had no doubt spread. I wonder if he has acquired any Housekeepers... he remarked humorously, stifling his chuckle as he looked back up at his new leader. He bowed a few inches forward towards him as he welcomed him to the guild, extending his hand out as he lifted back up and grasping Saber's, shaking it firmly back, noticing the rather cold temperature of his skin before pulling back. "Thank you," he instinctively said as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose with his forefinger, lowering his hand to take the paper and reading over it through his lenses, listening to Saber at the same time. As his leader said, the paper listed various duties that he had assigned to the Expansion Division, and as Neon read over them in his mind, his lips curled into an excited grin. He waited till Saber had finished speaking before lifting his head up from the paper, gently and carefully rolling it up in his hands. "Alas, knowing how bored I am these days, I most likely will leap onto these 'missions' as soon as possible, if that is alright with you?" He held the rolled up posting in his left hand, his right hand still firmly gripping his staff. "Also, I have noticed the... state, of your room here..." He added, gesturing around himself, particularly towards the mass of papers on the desk. "If you'd like, I could help organise everything so that you wouldn't have to squint for the postings." He smiled warmly, standing up tall but relaxed as he eagerly and excitedly waited for his leader's response.

Ame waited patiently for about a minute or two before she felt herself getting annoyed. She closed the door and would wait outside she supposed, as it seemed like no one was there, but then why was the door unlocked? The guild leader of this 'House of Crowns' couldn't be that responsible if they had left their guild door open for the world to do. 'This is probably just a big waste of time..' She had just left her old guild, and to try to find a new one so suddenly? What had she been thinking? She wasn't even sure if it was a good idea to check out any other guilds right now, perhaps she would create her own after all. Would she even be capable of it. She shook her head, 'maybe just five more minutes..' But, why? Why should she give this guild a chance in the first place? The leader of it wasn't even here! Just as she decided that she would turn and walk away, leaving HoC behind her, she was brought to life with a gasp as her eyes, surprised, flickered over to them man behind her who had read out the guild name. She narrowed her gaze on him as he spoke again, but was whisked away into the guild house before she could protest.
"Saber? What the hell are you doing here?" She felt the heat of his body pressed against hers and her face instantly flushed, but she pulled herself together as he put her down and walked into the room with his hands in his pockets. She lifted her arms and folded them into each other and gave him a pout. "Don't you know it's rude to sneak up on a Lady and scare her like that?" She tried not too, oh yes, she tried oh so hard not to let the smirk cross her face, but it did. The smirk was a gleaming white smile as she shook her head and let out a soft breath. "No, I suppose you wouldn't." Probably a bit mean, but it was due. She had done her best to not let out her evil side around him, but it was slowly showing itself. She was of course talking about him seemingly not having a lot of experience with women, if that wasn't clear. She stuck her tongue teasingly out teasingly at him and then remembered where they were, hearing him call out to see if anyone was there. She shook her head. "The guild leader doesn't seem to be here. I was waiting for them to come." And just like that, the insignia on the flyer of the guild popped into her head, as did the shop that Saber owned.
"There is NO WAY you're the Guild Leader!" She took the flyer out of her inventory and looked at it, staring at the coffin insignia on it, the one matching the doorway to the blacksmiths shop where she had purchased her Staff. She shook her head and coughed lightly before placing the flyer back into her inventory. "Well, then.." She breathed in and looked at Saber. She liked him, yes, very much, but would his guild be a good fit for the healer? Could she find a home in it, unlike the guild she had recently been apart of? He was an excellent fighter and had proven his worth of her, in her mind anyways, but was he capable of running a guild? One with people? She raised her brow as she pondered the thought but then pursed her lips at him. She had become fairly friendly with him, or so she hoped anyways, as they had spent a lot of, game forced, time together so she felt comfortable around him, especially since he hadn't stabbed her when she accidentally took a swing for his face at the beach. Well, not so much took a swing but actually hit him.. She pushed the thought away before she let out a shiver and looked him in the eyes, stepping forward a few steps. "What do you stand for? Do you think you are capable of running a guild? Because, it took you a long time to warm up to me and I don't even think you fully have either.. I just left a guild because it wasn't a match for me, so tell me, what do you have that they don't?" Well, he has him.. Wait, what? Who was supposed to be doing the interviewing here? Oh god, just another stupid thing the blond fox could have done, but to her, it was necessary. She was the top Cleric in Elder Tale, probably one of the best cooks too and she was an asset to a wide variety of people, so she knew she was worth something, not to mention her stunning good looks, though she'd never admit to being stunning.. ANYWAYS! Any guild that she was to be apart of, now needed a reason to have her. She wasn't just going to jump in, even if it was for him, no, she had standards and he would have to meet them, and if he had a good answer, perhaps she would let him interview her.

-The Following Post is for Sorano and Arrasi- --Sorry for how long it took. This was a very elusive post for some reason-- Do you believe in ghosts? The woman in the room turned to face Saber quite promptly upon being spoken to and made her way over to him as he questioned her intentions of being in his Guild’s Lounge. However, it seemed that she was here for the same reason he had been thinking, and probably the only reason anyone would be here and calling out for attention. She most likely wished to join his ranks. Saber wiggled his nose at his own thought and considered remaining in the Lounge from this moment on, even after this interaction. Then he would be able to greet people if they randomly popped in. Though, if he did, he probably wouldn’t get any work done. He tended to get distracted by the views outside and the couches were so much more comfortable than his chair that he fell asleep on their cushions after long periods of sitting on them. But he didn’t really get much work done even in his office… He was quite lazy when it came to paperwork.
In any case, as the woman began to speak, Saber was on the verge of waving her to follow him into his office. Then, he would be able to slid her a more informative sheet of paper to read over while also explaining things. Of course, nothing ever went the way Saber wanted it to. Before he could even attempt to perform the motion, the door was opened again and the Assassin’s attention was snagged. His eyes immediately shifted from the woman in front of him to their new guest; another… female? Saber’s right eye twitched and a clump balled up in his throat. One woman at a time, Saber could handle… but he had problems when handling multiples. He straightened up a little and watched as the new face scanned the room before realizing she had just stepped on a landmine. Well, the conversation wasn’t the landmine, but Saber’s ability to handle the situation was. Immediately, his train of thought shut off and the brakes were activated. The tunnel of brainwaves in the man’s mind became dark.
“Oh god dammit.”
The other woman seemed quite cheerful, however, even though she had just made Saber turn into a living statue. He listened to her, and she revealed that she was also in the room for the same reason the first lady was for. With that in mind, Saber quickly glanced at the two lady’s character names; Sorano and Arrasi, both some very fantasy-esque names, but both very different thankfully. In addition to their names being different, they had different classes, hair colors, and clothes. Saber used that to split them, and his mind separated the two presences apart. A few seconds passed of silence from Saber before the gears in his mind began to turn again. It wasn’t the beauty of the lady’s or anything else that caused the motor-mind to seize up. No, it was his inability to communicate with women effectively, especially ones that he didn’t know.
“Well then.” The only statement Saber could speak, he said pretty much in response to nothing. But, his mind used it like an anchor and he latched himself back into the world of the living. He raised his arms and crossed them over his chest, leaning onto his heels as he made himself comfortable again. Well, as comfortable as he could get.
“Since you are both here for the same reason, then I won’t make either of you wait. I am the Leader of the House of Crowns and my name is Saber.” As he started to speak, Saber made his way into the center of the room and stood there, rather than in the doorway to his office. With two people to address, he took a more neutral position between them. Though, it was also to keep him from thinking that he could just run off into his office and close the door.
“If you’re here, you have most likely heard about this place from someone else or read the flyers I dispersed throughout the city. To me, this Guild is not just a name tag but a promise to complete a goal. That goal is to achieve peace between Adventurers, Landers, and the World we live in. We must fight to level, and fight to survive here, but that does not mean we should leave our fellows behind. As well as peace, this Guild will work towards expanding our own knowledge of the world and expand our reach. This means researching new technologies, and searching the lands which are available to us. There is a lot we don’t know about this world, so we much work to learn.” Saber opened up his menu and summoned two informational papers, which had a little more than the flyers did. These papers explained the organization of the guild, had the goals listed and explained, and also a few active operations. The man also brought forth two signing sheets, which operated much like Guild contracts. He handed each of the interested Adventurers one of the papers, and also a contract. He went to Arrasi first, and then Sorano, following the loop of the room rather than attempt to tackle a sofa.
“In this Guild, you are free to operate at your own discretion. You have no obligation to follow what I tell you, nor are you forced to participate in any of the operations that will be going on. However, I do ask that what you do, you do well. Don’t give up, don’t give in, and don’t roll over…” After handing Sorano her pair of items, he made his way back to the center of the lounge.
“…and don’t ever worry about making a mistake. Should you fail, return to me and let me know, but do not come through that door with a hanging head. I do not punish my underlings, as even I have been a fool and have slipped. Embrace your failures and learn from them. I will be here to support you and your fellow Guild Members in your endeavors. If you need anything, feel free to contact me at any moment. However…” Saber raised a finger and then pointed at the two females, more specifically at the pieces of aged and inked paper in their hands.
“…before you can do or enjoy any of that, I simply need you to sign the contracts in your hands. Those contracts are very simply, and there is nothing hidden between the lines. All that paper is, is your agreement to join this House. The first line is where I ask that you sign your name, while the second line is for the Division you wish to join if you have one in mind.” As he finished, Saber opened his inventory and summoned another presence in the room; his little-known friend, Blumpy. The tiny orange pumpkin appeared in the air in front of Saber and wiggled slightly, letting out a squeak. Saber patted the little thing and nudged it towards his office. He mumbled a little command to it and the tiny creature squeaked before floating away, disappearing into the other room.
“But, before you sign either of those lines, take a moment to look at the two papers I have handed you. My mind is yours to be picked… Just don’t ask me the meaning of life.” Saber let out an uneasy laugh as he considered being asking the difficult questions. He hated those, and he sucked at them too.
