The druid sat quietly inside a local tavern inside Sarum City Square. He had found a quiet corner to read in and was content to leave it at that as he had managed to bribe a local adventurer with the chef subclass to brew him some tea. Letting out a sigh of contentment, Zyrune couldn't help but feel sorry for himself. Outside the the golden sunlight streamed through the window and bathed the tavern in a warm, golden hue. Not only that but the tavern's owners seemed to be celebrating with the rest of Londinium the Coconia Lunar Festival by decorating the building inside and out with pink, red and gold streamers, they even had a bard humming a soft soothing melody to add to the atmosphere. It was nice to see that despite leaving behind their lives once they came here, they still brought forward the same traditions with as much love perhaps more to this one. It also didn't help that Sarum City Square was the one of the center points for the entire festival.
Letting another sigh pass over his lips, the druid closed his book and finished off his tea, the warm liquid sliding down his throat nicely. He wasn't going to spend Valentine's day or this worlds representation of it cooped up all alone in a tavern despite how peaceful it was. It was one of his favorite holidays, Zyrune was a romantic at heart and loved spending the day with his sister watching romance films. He loved the idea that Valentines day was to celebrate love, not only romantic love but also other kinds such as the love for friends or family. The old world never quite got that right, but this world seemed to have blended traditions perfectly as now it was a festival, the entire town was in the mood for fun and he certainly wasn't going to waste it stuck inside an old tavern.Stretching, he closed his eyes and just listened to the bard sing. Part of him couldn't help but wonder if they had brought the talent with them to this world and Endertales enhanced their ability or if Endertales gave them the ability altogether. Lost in the soft soothing sounds of the song, the druid didn't even see that he had been approached. "Zyrune." Lost in thought, the druid raised his head catching the handsome brunette lander's gaze. Stunned at the sudden appearance of his friend, their gazes remained locked for another few seconds, before the brunette smiled and raised his hand, throwing a small wave in his direction. Smiling and completely taken off guard, he motioned for him to join him but instead the lander just stood there smiling.
They were an odd pair, the lander or Tadashi as he was called and Zyrune the druid adventurer. They had meet his first day trapped within the world, the day he was forced to leave his old life behind and accept this one. They hadn't talked much that first day, in fact to be accurate Zyrune had bought a stale tasting muffin from him. After that day, the pair continued to run into each other eventually striking up a friendship that bordered on something else but they have never ventured any further, just the odd stare or flirt was exchanged. In fact over the past year, Tadashi had become one of Zyrune's closest companions within Londinium. It was strange at first seeing the handsome brunette as anything other than an NPC, but eventually the more time they spent together, Zyrune forgot about what he had been intended to be and what he actually was, a person. "Are you just going to stand there or...?" Zyrune asked sounding more of pissed off than he had intended to. Tadashilet out a laughed that caused the druid to blush and withdrew a small box from under his jacket. The man smiled down at the Zyrune with a big goofy smile as he placed the box in front of him. The druid took the box slowly, examining it. Slowly and cautiously the druid opened the small box before him, inside sat a single bright and perfect coconia fruit. The druid's shocked expression must have shown on his face as Tadashi chuckled slightly.
"We landers have a tradition of sorts." Tadashi spoke as he came closer, Zyrune glancing up getting caught in the man's gaze. "One can find their soul mate if they come to Sarum City Square with one of those." The druid's felt his heart jump at the words. He couldn't mean could he? Zyrune wondered starting up at the big goofy smile of the lander he had come to know. In an instant Tadashi leaned forward, pressing his lips against the druid's softly. Zyrune didn't know what to think, his face must have turned crimson as he froze letting the lander take control. "Happy Coconia Festival" the man whispered across the druid's lips. The kiss took the druid back somewhat as his voice caught in his throat. The lander just laughed before pulling the druid back for a second kiss, wrapping his hands around the healer's shoulders before pulling away once more. "Looks like it worked." The lander grinned starting at him. Still completely shocked the druid exhaled, he was sure he would die of embarrassment at any moment. "But...but..." The druid began. "Come on, you can't spend all day in here alone." The brunette smiled. "I want to enjoy the festival."
***
As the two stood side by side, hand in hand in front of a large stage where a beautiful dance was taking place, Zyrune sighed happily. They hadn't mentioned the sudden romance, just accepted it with Tadashi taking the lead somewhat. The warmth of Tadashi's hand in his was good and he felt his body begin to relax. "I was planning to give that coconia fruit to you later on, but after finding you in Sarum Ciy Square I knew that if I waited for any more signs I'd be stupid." The taller brunette just smiled keeping his gaze on the dancing couple before them. "I mean I waited long enough for you to make the first more, but I guess you were doing the same." The druid immediately blushed but felt relaxed as Tadashi gave a reassuring squeeze to his hand.

Post by Lunar on Jan 19, 2015 21:51:32 GMT
Lunar was completely excited not because he was here for level training, but also the festival that was held in Sarum, which was the same festival that was held in Londinium a few days ago that his brother mentioned. According to him, it was supposed to be Elder Tale's version of Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day because of the celebration of the Coconia Fruit harvest, which was said that if you eat it, you will confess your true love. As much as embarrassing as it sounds due to his shyness to everybody especially to girls, Lunar wanted to try out the fruit as he felt it would be delicious as an apple. And upon he saw the Sarum Frontier, he knew he can enjoy this a lot after many days of fighting monsters. But before he can enjoy all of these, he was stopped by a farmer who just saw Lunar entered the town. Upon he saw his Interface as his brother called it, he noticed that he was a Person of the Land, which according to him, are Non-Player Characters of Elder Tale. But for some reason in this world, he was a real person to him as he asked to the young Assassin, "Um excuse me, young Adventurer. May I asked how old are you?" Despite being uncomfortable with that question, Lunar decided to answer it with honesty. "13 years old, sir. Why?" Then without warning, he was escorted by that said farmer and before he can protest about this, the farmer said, "Then welcome to Sarum and Happy Coconia Lunar Festival, young man. My name is Eric and I have a daughter that was a same age as yours.""Excuse me?" He asked in shock as he didn't like where this was going. "Oh, I'm sorry for being rude. You see, in this town, the families of the farmers wanted to wish their daughters to marry someone, so we wanted them including the Adventurers to accompany them during the festival." Upon he heard his explanation, Lunar's heart just jumped in horror. Like his older brother, he doesn't know about dating a girl or meeting them. Yet, upon he saw Eric's politeness to him, he can't help but to fulfill that tradition. Besides, the worst thing during Valentine's Day was to be lonely without a girlfriend like his brother. Plus, when he saw two men somehow hanging out, he decided that he should try meeting a girl for once. "Well, is it okay for me to meet your daughter? I'm kind of shy, you know." Lunar warned to the farmer. "Don't worry, we'll try our best to help you. But we can't butt in since we need to give you two some alone time." Lunar then laughed sheepishly, now nervous about the festival and feared that it will not be easy. WORDS: 474 (Event AP Bonus for Main Class: 711) TAG: Zyrune, Everyone in the event GOALS: Try to survive the festival without his shyness ruining everything.

It was a warm day, the last few weeks of winter slowly losing their cold grasp upon the land and being replaced by the soft, gentle touch of the spring sun. It had been a long and pleasant walk to the town called Sarum. On his way to the town Bailin had walked through forests, crossed some rivers and a lot of fields, all markers pointing out the fact that Sarum was indeed a farming town of renown and rightly so. The road towards the farming town had been rather busy, Landers and adventurers alike, all venturing towards Sarum to throng together at the festival. Even from this distance the joyous and cheerful sounds of music, dancing and sheer happiness vibrated from the town. Getting close and closer to the town the scents of trees and fields were slowly replaced by the scents of fire; the gentle and subtle smell of burning logs on a fire in the open air; of chicken being grilled upon said flames, the fat sizzling off and falling into the fire, making it shoot up, licking and longing for more of the grease of dead and edible animal carcasses; of sweet vegetables mixed together, a perfect supplement for any meal and probably be a good mix with the meat being grilled; of something sweet and yet sour, an interesting mix, reminding Bailin of some of the foods he had encountered in the other, real, world. [break][break]
As he neared the city at its entrance, the throng of people, accompanied with the ever present buzz of people in large groups rose up to meet and greet him. Above the buzz of people scuttling about, having conversations and the crackling of fires, there rose the tune of a song from further into the town. It sounded like dancing, as if there was a band playing a song, though to Bailin it felt as if he had joined in about halfway through the song. Marching through the throng of people Bailin gently pushed people out of his way if they happened to come into his path and could not step around them. Looking left and right to take in a good idea of the festivities Bailin noticed there were a lot of happy people with weird looking fruits in their hands and a lot of couples walking arm in arm or half hidden away around corners. Looking up Bailin noticed that the houses themselves had been decorated with mostly red and pink ribbons, flowers and drapes, but also from house to the house across the street there were decorations of a similar sort, adding to the completion of the theme of the festival. On the sides of the road the stalls where the vendors sold their wares were also decorated. The streets were littered with small, red and pink flower petals. [break][break] ‘Ah the feast of love… how… dreadful, but I suppose one has to endure it on occasion, keep up appearances and such. And besides, girls love this kind of thing or so I have been told. Though I wonder where Saskia is at… I am sure I asked her over but I haven’t heard a thing since… I wonder what would happen if some Lander girl thinks I’m hunting out for a cute girl, rather than a feast…, hoping for my girl to show up and do romantic stuff together… ‘Bailin thought to himself as he found the origin of the tune. On the market square sat a band of both Landers and adventurers, none of whom Bailin knew, playing different instruments on a small stage, whilst Landers and adventurers alike danced and swirled about, making a happy mixture of dancing, laughing and singing people. [break][break] Heading to the nearest wall he could find and still enjoy the show Bailin leaned back, carefully looking at the participants dancing within the dance. After the song ended, the people gathered around applauded the band, red heads, sweaty foreheads and smiles all around. As the band stood up, probably to enjoy the short respite and let blood flow back into their legs, they made an appreciating bow and proceeded to sit down again, stringing up the next tune. It sounded happy and it made Bailin smile. The next thing he knew, he felt a jolt as something, or someone, grabbed his arm, half dragging and half hurling him into the fray, bringing him slightly off balance. ‘The frack had just happened? Damn thing must’ve crept up on me in my blind spot.’ He thought to himself as he chuckled inside at the lame pun he had made about himself. The depraved creature that had dragged him into this fray of merrily dancing people was now tugging him on, making him dance to this new tune. It took a while for him to focus his eye on the creature in front of him, the creature itself dancing and smiling around him, whilst holding on to his left hand. The creature turned out to be a young Lander girl; black of hair, as a raven’s feather; blue of eyes as if ice had created them; a smile that could melt almost all cold hearts. The girl, looking about twenty years or so old, smiled and jumped from leg to leg, left to right, and twirled around him, raising his hand above his head as she turned round and round underneath his hand. Regaining his composure Bailin could not resist the challenge and joined her in the dance.

"Fancy meeting you here cutie," The lander's familiar voice didn't seem to break the peaceful nature of the area, yet it only enhanced it. Rolling his eyes, Zyrune chuckled. "I'm sure." The druid replied sarcastically. The two had retired to a quite place nearby without so many people moving around and yet they could hear the music perfectly in the background. The druid couldn't help but smile, it was strange how close the two had become since that morning, as if the simple act of a kiss had changed everything about the way the two interacted. Zyrune couldn't help but shake his head as he leaned against the tree as Tadashi extended his hand towards him with an honest smile and those eyes, the kinda that you easily lost yourself in, the kind that you forgot you were staring into, the kind you wanted to watch you. "It isn't really my thing." The druid mumbled, trying his hardest to hide any signs that he really wanted to dance but just didn't know how, besides even if he did, he couldn't help but wonder if it dancing was down to a subclass. "Come on,"
The lander whispered with gesture of his hand. "No one is here, but us." The druid let a soft sigh pass his lips and his face he was sure was burning a bright crimson red. Letting out the last of his breath, the half-alv let lander lace his fingers with his, slowly he was pulled towards him, pulling him close he wrapped his other hand around the druid's waist, it was warm and comforting. Zyrune let out a gasp as the touch startled him, but looking up to catch the lander watching him with a stupid grin and those eyes intently, the druid quickly buried his face in the mans shoulder, sure his face was going to melt off at any moment. In an instant the druid was surrounded by the man's scent, it was perfect. Opening his mouth, the druid went to speak, but his voice caught in his throat, his heart beating a mile a minute, he was sure his hands covered in sweat could be felt by the lander. "Shhh..." The lander spoke softly as he took a step back, his wrapped hand on the druid's back pulling him with the man. Slowly they moved this way and that to the gentle music playing the background that could be heard from where they stood. Sighing again, this time trying to calm himself, Zyrune let the lander guide his movements. Despite his initial refusal, the druid was beyond happy that the lander had insisted. As he stood earlier watching the people on stage move and sway, it just seemed so beautiful and he wanted to feel that way, to know that things like that could happen to him, for so long he had been the one ignored, the one who people gave up on or liked to try push in the gutter. For years the pink haired druid had watched others excel in his previous life while he had been too shy to even try.
"Don't worry so much, you are doing fine." The lander spoke, his voice like honey on velvet, it seemed to wrap the druid in a warm feeling. "Come on, look at me, you have beautiful eyes, I want to see them." Zyrune slowly lifted his head, feeling more blood rush to his face, blushing more if that was possible when he caught the lander's gaze. Slowly Tadashi lowered his head until it was resting just above his ear. "You know that thing you did yesterday," The druid bite his lips as he tried to remember what he had done yesterday. His heart beat a mile a minute as if he had forgotten completely what had happened. However he couldn't recall anything that he would have done, the dual eyed foxtail Jacoben had been most of their day and then they had that fight. Part of his had regretted what he had said, but then again if he hadn't had been jealous, the might not have been dancing today. "The spotlight." The lander's voice purred in his ears. It hit the druid like a slap to the face and immediately he felt foolish for thinking of anything else. Letting out a relaxed sigh, the druid removed his hand from Tadashi's back and held it above his head. "SHOWTIME!" In an instant the area around them light up with a bright golden ray of light, it glittered and sparkled in the area around them, it was beyond wonderful to feel the lander's arms wrap around him tightly and he pulled him close. With their hearts synchronized, fingers intertwined and his head against the lander's chest, he couldn't feel any more comfortable. Slowly the two rocked back and fourth in time to the soft sway of music nearby.
As if on time with the music, the lander stepped backwards pulling the druid towards him, slowly he spun the druid under the the bright spotlight , enjoying the look on the half-elv's face as he did so. Pulling the druid back into his chest, he let out a sigh of contentment. If the druid could have read his mind, he would have saw that the lander was thanking the stars for the event, for sending this gorgeous man into his world, for granting him the time to know him. Slowly he bent once more, his lips connecting with druids. It was strong, greedy, perfect. He tasted warm and sweet, like how he had that morning. As their lips parted, the druid inhaled, his breathing hard now, his gaze never leaving the lander's. Slowly the song came to an end. The silence was broken by a noise nearby. Jumping the druid cast his gaze sides, a crowd had gathered nearby taking in the scene before them. Zyrune would have died there and then if the game had let him, but Tadashi's strong hand seemed to comfort him. The lander just smiled and nodded to the crowd before turning back to the druid. "This was perfect."

As he followed the farmer to meet his daughter, Lunar became nervous about this. Not only he never asked a girl out before, but he didn't know about what she looked like. As he thought to these, he started sweating in nervousness when Eric stopped and saw someone in the square. "Oh, I think I see my daughter right now at the corner." When they approached the figure, the Lander then said, "Adventurer, I would like you to meet my daughter, Alysha." As the girl turned around to see the Assassin, Lunar was completely shocked by her beauty. Despite she was the same age as him, she has beautiful green eyes, brown straight hair, and wore a pink blouse and white long skirt.
"Hello." The girl said to the young Adventurer, who was now blushed red in nervousness as he tried to control it along with his shyness. He didn't want them to ruin his day as well as ruining his chances to accompany the Lander's daughter. "U-Um... Hello... M-My name's Lunar. I-I'm an Assass- No, wait! An Adventurer! Yeah, an Adventurer." He was not good with girls just like his brother, but unlike him, he was very quick on correcting his mistakes at the last second. However, the girl only blushed red as she backed away a little from him, which surprised him a little. He never met someone shy than himself as he was usually more shy when it comes to girls.
Then, the farmer approached him to his ear so he can whispered, "I forgot to mention to you that she never met an Adventurer before even after they arrived in our village. And because of that, she often run away to anyone who meet her." Lunar now understand all of this as he guessed that Sarum didn't have any Adventurers visiting until a few months ago, yet she was completely shy to them. This made him realized that she might need help interact with Adventurers other than him. "I think I get why. I'll see what I can do to accompany her for the festival, sir." Satisfied with his answer, Eric tipped his hat and said, "Good, I hope you two have a good time together and take care of my daughter for me, okay?"
Lunar nodded in approval before the farmer left to take care of his work, which left him with Alysha, who was still blushed in shyness. However, he didn't knew what to do first as walking around the festival wasn't good enough. It was only the music of the square that made him notice the dance currently held. He didn't knew how to dance with a partner, but he wanted to try one with the Lander's daughter. But not wanted to humiliate himself, he decided on their first activity. "Um, Alysha. Why don't we try walking around Stratford first? I've just arrived in this city and I need to look around it." Upon he saw his blushing face, Alysha felt a little safe around him before she replied, "Um, sure. I-I can show you this festival's delicacies if you like."
"Thanks." Usually, he felt more embarrassed with a girl with him. Yet, when he grabbed her hand, he suddenly felt a warmth in his heart, as if he felt the safety and love for his brother. When he noticed this feeling, Lunar smiled at this, which he wondered if that was not only his brother as he and Alysha left the square to head to their first destination, which was the farmer's market.

This was the last thing Steel was trying to experience. He wanted to experience all three of the locations. He walked around the town and found himself around the town square. A dance was beginning to take place. He wasn't really one to dance so he decided to just watch and see how all of this would go down. He saw several people, both Adventurers and People of the Land, begin to dance happily in the area. Steel smiled at the atmosphere of happiness here. It was a lot more comfortable than the lovey dovey atmosphere he felt from the other two places and it felt more mushy. Unfortunately, not everything was happy. Steel noticed in a corner that there were some guys trying to force a girl to go along with them. From the looks of it, the girl was a Person of the Land and the three males were adventurers. How distasteful. Steel said as he walked over there.
"Oh come on, we're just asking you to accompany us." One of the adventurers said as he tried to forcibly grab the girl by the hand. The girl in question seemed to scared to do anything as she tried to struggle.
"P-Please let go of me." She managed to get out of her mouth albeit quite quietly.
"Eh? What did you say?" Another adventurer said in a rather threatening tone.
"Such a dishonorable way of behavior." Steel's voice rang out as he came out of nowhere and dumped a bowl of boiling soup on the one who was trying to be forceful. Both the suddenness of Steel's arrival and the bowl of boiling soup dumped on him made him jump back in surprise. "Would you mind not doing something like that? The young lady here appears to be frightened by it."
"You little..." One of them said as he charged at Steel. The swashbuckler just sidestepped and threw him at the other guy. Not wanting to be disgraced or publicly embarrassed, the three adventurers walked off with a bit of a sulk.
"T-Thank you very much." The girl behind him stuttered in thanks. Steel turned around to face her.
"No problem, I'm just glad you're alright." Steel said with a smile. "By the way, my name's Steel, what's yours?"
"I'm Julie." The girl said timidly.
"Nice to meet you Julie."
"H-How old are you?" Julie asked. Steel was surprised by the suddenness of her question but still answered.
"I'm 17 right now." Steel said simply.
"Ah, we're the same age about. I'm 16" Julie said shyly. Steel looked around and noticed that there seemed to be nobody she could dance with.
"Would you like to dance?" He asked in invitation as he extended his hand to her. Julie nodded shyly and took his hand before he led her to the dance floor. After some awkwardness, The two of them began to dance slowly and close together, a style that seemed to suit them and they danced the night away.

Lets Play Elder Tales. Hp: 100 Mp:100 ▼ Tagged: @eleri Wc: 1052 NOTES: This is set Eleri the night before they meet you. Tadashi was going to break up with Zyrune or at least talk to him about things not working the way he thought but didn't have the heart.
|
As the two walked, the lander walked he kept his gaze focused firmly on the ground in front of him. It was sort of strange, as normally the half alv was normally the one who was wooden and unreadable and yet here he was with his gaze glued to the ground. There was something about his body that seemed distinctly off. The two had been enjoying the festival together and although it was early still, the lander had decided to call it quits and they were in process of walking back towards his home.
As the druid walked, Zyrune couldn't help but shoot the man curious gazes, it was by no means a master of reading the lander, in fact the opposite was true. Even though their awkward business only relationship had transformed into a surprisingly pleasant friendship, the druid was still clueless at reading the taller man, in fact if nothing else he was sure the lander was growing more and more confusing the more he got to know him. Every step closer he took to knowing the taller man seemed to result in a step further away.
For example despite having an pleasant day together even more than pleasant the half alv would argue, the lander had barely even cast a glance in his direction since they started to walk home, he hadn't even said that much also and it was beginning to get on the druid's nerves. They had been perfectly fine chatting about coconia fruit among a variety of other things when the lander had suddenly stopped his chattering and lost his voice much to the druid's dismay.
They didn't normally exchange a lot, in fact the druid was normally the one who was quiet, but it was never really this quiet and never really for this long. Pursing his lips, the oink haired druid cast the taller man a final glance before grinding his teeth, it was really setting him on edge. Letting out a long sigh he was sure the taller man would hear, he hoped the taller man would at least glance over at his direction, but much to the druid's dismay he didn't raise an eye brow causing the pink haired adventurer to visibly frown.
"Tadashi, is everything okay?" Finally his voice broke the tension, cutting through it like a knife. The taller body just seemed to shrug and hum in response casting a brief glance in the adventurer's way. If the druid didn't know better, he would have guessed that the lander was bored, failing that bothered by something, bothered enough to consume all his thinking power. But that wasn't just it, there was something more, he just couldn't figure out what it was.
"I'm fine," The lander's voice replied, it was calm and his face seemed unemotional. It bothered the druid. "Are you sure?" The pink haired druid continued hoping that now that he had pulled two words from the taller man he might get some more. "I didn't do anything did ?" The druid asked tilting his head to cast the man a curious glance.
Raising an eyebrow Tadashi shrugged in response. "No today was perfect," The sentence was fine except the lander's voice held no emotion at all. Pursing his lips, the druid furrowed his brows. "You sure?"
"Yes. " It seemed he was now visibly annoying the taller man as he frowned and his voice held some slight irritation. Letting out a frustrated breath, the druid and the lander continued walking on for a moment, letting the silence wash over them once more as they approached the edge of the festival, the druid even started counting his steps as they moved, his mind running a mile a minute replying the past events over and over again wondering what had changed.
Another frustrated breath past his lips as they moved, he hugged his chest against the chilling weather as the evening drew a close. The lander seemed to ignore the change completely lost in whatever though that seemed to consume his mind. If it didn't bother the druid as much, he would have savored how handsome and brooding he was went he got like this and that only seemed to make the situation that much more alarming as the half alv couldn't remember the last time he was this lost in thought.
"Are you cold?" Again he was expecting a grunt in response. Instead the lander shot him a glare of annoyance. "I'm fine," This time his voice had more bite, however the druid had already stopped moving, instead he unequipped his scarf unraveling how it sat perfectly around his neck, eventually holding it towards the taller man, his face sympathetic.
Before it was Zyrune who hated the cold weather normally borrowing the lander's clothes whenever the weather turned foul, however due to the adventurer leveling up and his armor upgrades, the druid had a higher resistance to the cold now allowing him to brace the cold without really feeling it as much as he used to.
The lander didn't seem to be bothered, just took the scarf and threw it around his neck loosely, not really bothering to fix or adjust it once it sat on his shoulders. Eventually the two reached a spot that broke off into two separate directions and normally this is where the two would say goodbye, however the two seemed to just stand opposite one another awkwardly surrounded by silence.
"Well goodnight,” Zyrune muttered giving a slight wave as he turned slightly expecting to see the lander already moving away from him.
"Zyrune," The lander's voice rang throughout the area, well not really but it did for the adventurer. Turning his head to cast the man a curious gaze, he shrugged. "You can give the scarf back the next time we meet up." The lander looked at the ground before sighing and giving a nod. "Yeah okay. " Something in the tall man's voice pulled at the druid's heart and yet he didn't have the will power to ask. If the lander wasn't going to say it, then he wasn't going to pull it out of him. "Are we still on for tomorrow?" The pink haired druid inquired before heading on his way once the taller man grunted and gave a nod in response.
