Welcome to the Temple Of Tides Quest: Reach the Center Chamber Of the Temple
Hp:100 Mp:100
The long forgotten temple sat within a deep dense forest deep within the Isle Of Thule, its purpose long forgotten, it had been home to many raids when Endertales was just a game. The trees that surrounded it were old and twisted, as it if they had too were being consumed by time. The temple entrance stood large and alone, the rest of the temple had been consumed by the sea and depending on the tidal level, parts of the temple flooded. Inside the temple holds within it many mysterious puzzles said to astound adventures and people of the land alike and monsters that seafarers could only dream about. The ocean could be heard nearby, strong and fierce it beckoned them forward, as if warning them it had the power to sweep away the temple at any moment. Zyrune inhaled deeply, his heart pounded against his chest ready to explode. He and a small group of adventurers had decided that the lands around Londinium held no challenge for them and that in order to level, to explore and do something productive, they needed to do something else. Unbeknownst to them, a fishing village home to a peaceful group of people native to this world sat on a nearby coastline. It was well known to adventurers and people of the land for it's ability to provide only the best fish. However in recent times the village had fallen on hard times, recently an influx of monsters investing the ocean near the village had increased and in order to insure the village's ability to trade, they sought the help of any adventurers that were willing. The village had nothing to offer, so many ignored their plight, however several honest and decent souls saw the plea and gave their word they would help. After they had gathered in the small village, they have been briefed by the village elder one by one of what lay ahead. The village understood that a young boy from their village had gone to the Isle Of Thule not so long ago, he had said something about seeking the power of the ocean from the Temple of Tides. Most people ignored him and let him leave without stopping him. However it wasn't long after he had left that they water turned against the village, the enemies increased in numbers preventing all fishers from doing their job. The elder implored each one before him to set sail for the temple of Tides and seek the answer to the increase in monster activity, his only reward his village's gratitude, it wasn't much but it was all they could offer.
The druid breathed a sigh of relief as his feet touched solid ground once more. It had never been too happy on boats, he loved the ocean and swimming but something about a boat just made the young adventurer uneasy. Stretching his body of any remaining aches, he gazed around at his new party of adventurers, each one more different than the last. He couldn't help but wonder if they had made the right choice coming to the village's aid. His constant training in the savill flower grove had caused the adventurer to grow bored. Sure he had gained some levels, but he wanted to explore, to get and see the world. It had been quite some time since the original event happened that caused himself along with thousands of other players to become stranded in their favorite virtual world reborn anew. When it was still a game, he had never visited the Isle Of Thule, nor had he heard very much about the Temple of Tides, however he was excited to see what lay in store, but he also remained nervous. He was just a healer, sure he had some offensive moves, but he would mostly be providing support. He needed to know if he could trust his fellow adventurers and he was sure they needed to be able to trust him. Gripping his staff, the druid cast his gaze upwards. The sun was high in the sky and the heat that bathed down on them was glorious, he wished this had been a vacation trip and not a quest of a serious nature. He had been fascinated by the idea of a water temple as it had appeared in many different renditions in popular books and games over the years and he was excited to see what Endertales had come up. Despite his own imaginings, Endertakes was known for going that step further with its gaming experiences both with in game activity and game lore. He was sure that whatever lay within the Temple of Tides waiting for them, it was sure to be exciting. Still the gamer in him couldn't help but feel nervous about it. He didn't exactly feel excited to see water monsters and monsters of the undead variety which were known to spawn in an area such as the Temple Of tides, what he was more excited about was the puzzles, he could only imagine how game puzzles for the area had been transformed when this world became a reality. Letting out another long sigh, he savored the moment of peace before turning to his fellow adventurers. "How is everyone holding up?"

Quests had always been an important part of Elder tale, of almost any RPG or mmo he could think of. After the apocalypse, however, they had become harder to find and complete. For example, the progression of npcs meant that they weren’t stuck in the loops that allowed quests to be completed whenever someone desired. Many of them were also on a stricter timetable, like this one. If someone was kidnapped, you couldn’t just screw around and expect them all to wait for you to finish the quest. You had to hurry and complete it before anything bad happened to the rescuee. There was also the fact that such quests were no longer scripted. In other words, there wasn’t necessarily a realistic path to achieving it any more. That was not a comforting thought. However, it didn’t change the fact that quests went a long ways towards breaking the monotony of progression in an rpg; giving you a reason to fight beyond for your own sake. They were also a goal; in that sense, they could be considered the sole reason one leveled up in the first place, especially now that the npcs seemed to have developed into fully functioning people. It was certainly something to think about, at least for him. That was how he found himself there, in a party consisting of people he either didn’t know or barely knew, on his way to answer a call for assistance. A pink-haired druid was leading the way. Had Shuwen met him before? He couldn’t recall, and was too embarrassed to ask. He might have, but he might not have. Oh well, time would remedy his faulty memory, danged ADHD.
That was how he found himself on a rickety boat, making his way into an aquatic temple. Apparently a boy had gone to the temple to see power to help deal with the local monster problems (and whatever else he wanted dealt with, the monk assumed) and had disappeared. The only sign of his continued existence was a strong negative reaction from the ocean, putting anyone foolish enough to venture out to sea in danger of drowning, or so the villagers had described it. Now that he’d gotten a look at it first hand, he was inclined to agree with that assessment. Just getting to the temple had been pretty dangerous, and not in a way he’d really been ready to handle. The way in had been hellish there’d been a few times when he was half-convinced he’d be visiting Davey Jones’ locker; he could see why the people of the land, who only lived once, hadn’t wanted to chance the voyage themselves; there had been a few waves that made him think the party would be wiped out before they even reached the place. Don’t think about those things too much Jarred. He told himself silently. It won’t do anyone any good.
Unfortunately, the pounding waves had left him with a bout of sea sickness, one he’d only just begun to get used to by the time they reached the temple. The Monk didn’t mind that so much; he was just glad he hadn’t thrown up on the way there, he’d certainly felt nauseous. Still felt a bit nauseous, now that he thought about it, but he tried not to make it too obvious. So when the Druid inquired about everyone’s condition, waved him off with a quick “I’m good.” And to be completely honest, he could still fight if he needed to. He might not enjoy it as much, and he might not fight as well as he usually would, but he could. Probably. The fact that he had to fight the urge to hide behind something and bend over just in case he threw up wasn’t helping matters.

Silenter began to notice that quests have been harder to find, and not only that they have been getting harder to complete. So when he read this opportunity on the bulletin board he could not pass it up. Not only that there were people that were in need of his help, he needed to find some self redemption after the drunken fiasco outside the gates London. There is no possibility that these events would haunt him and he would see any other of the innocent players that he assaulted so soon right?
Well this is going to be awkward...Silenter noticed who was leading the quest, the young druid the he assaulted and threatened during his drunken rage, this was unsettling but he trusted his gut on it and perused the quest anyways.I hope he is the forgiving type....The smell of the ocean flooded the air and memories of him and his family going fishing and swimming in the ocean flooded his mind as he took in a deep breath as he stood on the boat. He looked at the temple his gut telling him that something was not right about it and frowned for a second. He began to remember that he did not only have good memories of the ocean though.
He forgot that he gets dreadfully sea sick while doing nothing on a boat his mind focused on the swaying and rocking and made him sick to his stomach as he began to throw up every now and again. The monk looked to be in the same spot as he was, also getting sea sick like him. The monk was over his sickness by the time they reached the temple though. While his has not shown any sign of stopping. The druid turned to the party and asked "How is everyone holding up?" the monk responded quick. Silenter saw this as an opportunity to apologize fo what happened in London, but he had to muster up the will to apologize to the young mage. It was tough but he was able to get his words out. He walked up to the Druid and bowed his head slightly "My apology's for our last meeting Zyrune was it right... I was not in my right mind at that moment..." took a deep breath swallowing some pride " You can trust me to protect our party for this quest i promise you on my honor i will not betray you". He then rose his head and stood looking at monk waiting for his approval or disapproval trying to beat the urge to go puke again.▲ 437 words● @zyrune ● NOTES

"How is everyone holding up?" Shikiodus looked towards the rather unique pink-haired druid, and grinned "Nothing like a rocking boat to 'calm' your stomach."
The seas were so blue, so clear, so beguiling... His stomach slowly flowed around as the rickety boat cricked and creaked, each one adding a certain intensity to the air. He looked into the skies, Something is wrong. stories say a boy goes into the water temple, and trouble happens, an unknown murder of beasties appearing. Murder? maybe a flock? how would you group it? shikiodus sighed, Ii guess you can't really. Shikiodus looked around at the party, well, some of these guys i know. the pink-haired man from the tea shoppe, and his most beautiful summon. Shikiodus grinned and chuckled at the thought of Alraune's seductive dance And DAMN does she know she is GOOD! as for the druid himself, hes a kindly sort, pretty handsome, and some useful skills. whats their not to like? He looked towards an armored behemoth of a guardian Of course, the parties' punching bag, wearing god knows how many pounds of iron tilting the boat his way. Nice first impression buddy!
"My apology's for our last meeting Zyrune was it right... I was not in my right mind at that moment..." Not right in his mind? only things I can think of is either he was mind-controlled, or an alcoholic. " You can trust me to protect our party for this quest i promise you on my honor i will not betray you" Shikiodus laughed, "As in you'll be the parties punching bag while we go drink some margaritas and attacking from afar? sure, that's fine with me!" Shikiodus laughed, and pulled out his guitar, strumming the intro tune of eldertale. "I'm not looking forward to seeing what is in there, but you know, neep it! what kind of life is one without some failures, misadventures, conquering fears, and going to do something you wouldn't do? this is just another one of them moments. But now..." he grinned wider "We don't even have to worry of death!" He said this to no one is particular and began to laugh aloud.
After a while, he stopped and asked Zyrune "So, how is Alraune? I haven't been seeing much of her, think she likes me..." He winked at Zyrune, and then looked at the other member of the party, Shuwen. I know him a little, ive conversed, not much to say i guess. Wasn't one of my best conversations, well hey! I made the landing from the rooftops didn't i? Shikiodus chuckled again.
Watching Silenter's latest offering to the sea from his mouth, he asked "nothing like the calm seas to sway you to sleep am i right?"
I cannot wait to kill those damned creatures, Ive been waiting for something like this... Shikiodus looked out into the sea, pondering how the neighborhood was rejoicing of his unconsciousness. He wondered how he could get in good with others when he really only joined to blow things up. Maybe because now the situation is different? I don't know, but I'm glad it turned out this way...

It was but a co-incidence that the sorceress had stumbled upon the tiny fishing village. She had been venturing further and further as of late and this time, she had found herself on the coast. She smell of salt and fish assaulted her nose as she crossed into the old town. The small homes seemed a bit ragged as she made her way down the main street and the general atmosphere was heavy, as if something was plaguing the people. “ You there!” A voice, one filled with the wisdom of many years, called out to the petite girl. Artemisia quickly turned her head towards the source of the sound, her two blonde pigtails bouncing, and saw an older man beckoning her inside one of the huts. It took her only a moment to realize this man was a Person of the Land and not an adventurer like herself. Intrigued, she followed him and disappeared inside. It was there that Artemisia heard their plea – go to the Temple of Tides, save the boy and spare the village of the monsters which plagued them. There was almost no way she could resist their request, both for the adventure and experience of it as well as her desire to help out the struggling town. The chief of the town provided her with as much information as he could, which was little, and a small amount of fish as a token of good faith. The lack of knowledge about where she was headed bothered her but she had been told that others had also accepted the quest. With this in mind, the fox tail girl boarded a less than safe looking boat and began her journey towards the Temple of Tides. It was not a long boat ride but the sea was unpleasant, making the trip bumpy and uneasy. Artemisia stepped off the old boat onto the shore line, her feet sinking into the sand. She had kept to herself during the boat ride, at least outwardly. While others would not have noticed, she had been sending a message off to both her guild and the man she had claimed as her own, letting them know where she was and what she was up to. Now on land, she turned her green eyes on the small group which had gathered. Almost immediately she saw a familiar face – a druid named Zyrune which had recently joined the same guild as her. They had also met before at the small party of sorts she had hosted in the snow. Standing alongside him were three men she did not recognize… a Monk, a Guardian, and a Bard. Well, at least they had a wide variety of adventurers for this. “ Hello everyone!” She waved cheerfully as she approached the group. “ Were you all dragged into this, too?” She smiled widely, her fox ears pointed straight up as she greeted them. Based on the little bit of conversation she had heard before she opened her mouth, there had been some sort of confrontation between Zyrune and these other men in the past. She would be pleasant to these men but she certainly was not prepared to let her guard down around them. “ It seems you guys mostly know each other so let me introduce myself… I’m Artemisia,” She nodded her head respectfully in greeting. “ I hope we all get along.” --- Notes: I'm not stating Artemisia's level at this point... I'm hoping my AP claim goes through before this thread gets too far so I can go as level 36 or whatever it was. So, I'm leaving that vague for now. Why had a group of six such low leveled adventurers chosen to gather at this temple? wouldn't each one of them get themselves killed on any quest in a place such as this? Xylef didn't really expect to loose so easily, but did wonder as to if any of them were up to the task, but what Xylef did know was that he had played the game when it was just that, a game, and he should have no problems if the quest given it was not to hard and if each member of the team played their roles well. The dungeon was said to be filled with puzzles and traps, Xylef couldn't say he was the best at puzzles, but he did enjoy them to the point to where he would have to search for puzzles that challenged him. A question that must have been lingering in each of the party members was what could be lying in the depths of this flooded temple. Crashing waves of the ocean attacked the rocks and sand around the shore loud enough to be heard form the temple entrance, in another situation the waves may have added peace, but somehow the sounds only seemed to add tension tot he air. Xylef was not effected by the waves as much as some others in the groups, but none of them had seemed particularly joyed at the boat ride here. The feel of the island was not that of a tropical vacation stop, but the air felt menacing perhaps it was just nerves getting to Xylefs head. Even twenty six years on earth gave no sense of security in a world of unknowns. A world which Xylef had not even a full years experience in. Then again there was little chance that any of them had any semblance of such battle in the real world. It was not hard to admire Elder Tale and the Unfounded Kingdom server when one was in the game, but it was just as easy to fear battling in this world. "How is everyone holding up?" The question rattled Xylef out of his deep state of thought. He was holding up, but that didn't quite mean that he was comfortable. "I wish I could say I was doing just fine, but I'm not completely settled" This quest would have been the first of the sort which Xylef would have had to work through. He figured his nerves would settle once he had gone through a battle or two, and he figured it would be even easier due to his relaxed personality. The problem was that the time where his nerves would settle had yet to come. Two of those who were in the party were people who Xylef had met in the past, and could at least work with if nothing else. The others were comparatively unknowns and if you asked Xylef unknowns were never good. "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself, but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle. I can't say I know any of you too well, and the enemy isn't known to me either. If you ask me we need to tread lightly, at least until we all get a feel for the dynamic of our party." Xylef knew that this was still a game and that each of them would revive if they died, but even if they could it was no way to think that dying meant that there would come at no cost to the party. Some might argue death was worse now having to live with knowing you failed. Then again getting to high in level could cause some sort of superiority complex, perhaps this game was not as amazing as it seemed at first. Once again Xylef was snapped out of his deep train of thought, he must have missed a good chunk of conversation. He would not admit to his zoning out, but did hope that nothing important was missed. From the rooftops of old parliament building on Londinium District. Barry wandered for almost four long hours head down, still recollecting what happened... and then he stops.. he smell a familiar aroma and heard a familiar sound.. "W-w-water" "waves". As Barry looks up he snaps out to reality, his wandering takes him on a coastline of a tiny fishing village.
He saw a figure same as what he saw on the streets of Londinium District when he was standing on the rooftops. "Is that the fox?" he whispered. Barry's curiosity led him to approach the figure he saw but the fox that he was looking was gone, upon approaching the Old person of the fishing village, Barry asked "Where is that boat going?" the Old man answered "She was going to the Temple of Tides", Barry hastily asked "Is there another boat?" One of the people on the fishing village overheard the conversation and approached Barry and said "Are you an acquaintance?" Barry just nodded, The person in front of him is The chief of the town.
The Chief asked Barry if he can help the fishing village from the monsters which pestering them. Barry decided to accept the request so that he can take a ride on a boat to follow the figure he saw before. The Chief was so glad upon hearing that another Person accepted their request. On the Port Barry mounted a tiny boat and departed without thinking what could happen upon reaching the Temple of Tides.
As Barry reaches the shore he saw five entities standing he approaches them without saying a word, upon getting closer and closer he saw what he is chasing... Barry whispered "It's you"..

Hp:100 Mp:100For as long as games have existed, those that played them were sent on quests to proceed, sometimes were long arduous detailed adventures and other times these were frivolous comedic opportunities, however as the druid towards the path, he was sure this adventure was of the first variety. Inhaling a sharp breath of the salty ocean air, the druid cast his gaze over the group. So far they had a well rounded team, he could spot a monk that he hadn't met, but had seen around Londinium and although they had never crossed paths, the Zyrune was sure they would get along alright. The monk call is known for using hand to hand combat as their chosen method of attack, boasting a high evasion rate and often a higher HP than other classes of the same level would have. “I’m good.” The druid nodded in response, he had been the first one to respond to the call of help and purely by chance as he had been on the coast line exploring materials he would need to craft items when he returned to Londinium, that would have to be put on hold. Thankfully he had his magic bag on him, that seemed to be an endless inventory so far. Closing his eyes, the druid allowed the soft sea air to caress his cheek while the overhead sun bared down on the group showering them in heat, as if the sun itself was wishing the group luck on the way, he couldn't help but feel like the next few hours were certainly going to be hard. "My apology's for our last meeting Zyrune was it right... I was not in my right mind at that moment..." The druid's heart jumped at the sudden voice and so close to him as well. Opening his eyes, he saw a familiar face frowning as he did so. While they had all taken the same ship, the group had barely anytime to talk instead most prepared their equipment or kept to themselves, the druid had done just that. Exhaling a breath, Zyrune studied the man before him. They had met during his first month, the druid had stepped in to rescue someone and the guardian for reasons beyond the half-alv's reasoning decided it was best to join the thugs. Although they had been on opposing sides, they had never attacked one another due to the timely intervention of Saber. Saber was everything Zyrune wanted to be and wanted to be with. He was mysterious, kind and incredibly strong, the assasin had saved him that day and it was quite some time before Zyrune had joined the guild he was leading. Although they hadn't spoken much at all, it was a step in the right direction. Shaking his head of the thoughts, the druid felt his face blush slightly. Focusing his gaze on the guardian, he watched as the man stood with his head bowed. "You can trust me to protect our party for this quest i promise you on my honor i will not betray you." That was something he hadn't expected from him and the act knocked the wind of him so to speak. The druid was at a loss for words for a moment and struggled to remain his composure. "We all have pasts." The druid said with a wink. He knew more than anyone had foolish one could be during the first few days, he himself had gotten himself killed while in the middle of a ravine surrounded by monsters. "Water under the bridge, so to speak." He chuckled at his non intentional pun. Still the guardian class was very useful, they boasted the highest defense power and normally formed the tank role of any party. "As in you'll be the parties punching bag while we go drink some margaritas and attacking from afar? sure, that's fine with me!" The druid was stunned at the comment but saw another familiar face laughing nearby he had recognized while on the boat trip here. It was the quirky wolf haired bard that Zyrune had met in that strange little tea shop. He smiled as he remembered the sweet salty taste of the coconia fruit tea. promising himself to treat himself with a cup if they were successful, he nodded towards the bard. "I'm not looking forward to seeing what is in there, but you know, neep it! what kind of life is one without some failures, misadventures, conquering fears, and going to do something you wouldn't do? this is just another one of them moments. But now..." The bard only seemed to grin wider. "We don't even have to worry of death!" While what Shikiodus said was mostly true, death still worried the druid, even if he woke up after hitting zero hp, there was still that inbetween, the part between life and death that didn't sit well with him. The first time he had died, he had woken up, hard against the marble floor and took him several minutes to realise he was actually awake and after that he had managed to throw up anything inside his body. Shuddering, the druid studied the red haired man. He was a bard, they varied in the roles they played, sometimes acting as front line fighters or even playing a support role, the druid couldn't help but wonder what role and skills the bard held under his belt. "So, how is Alraune? I haven't been seeing much of her, think she likes me..." Zyrune couldn't help but smirk at the comment. Alraune was a summon ability druids could use, Zyrune's happened to be a rather flirty and full of herself plant fairy. However before he could even answer the bard, a voice called out to them. “Hello everyone!” The owner of the voice waved cheerfully and her pink pigtails bobbed up and down with her body as she moved only adding to her appearance. . “Were you all dragged into this, too?” Zyrune smiled at her returning her wave. “It seems you guys mostly know each other so let me introduce myself… I’m Artemisia,” The blonde was part of the same guild as Zyrune and Saber, although she had been a member long before Zyrune had joined, he smiled knowing that despite everything at least he could really trust her without a doubt. They had originally met during a snow party of sorts that the blonde had hosted earlier in the year, she had gathered many adventurers from around Londinium before dragging each one into a snowball war. He smiled as he remembered the time fondly, it was perhaps his first time in the world where he had spent more time enjoying his time with other players, than studying and fighting them. Pulling up the interface, he noted that the blonde was a Sorcerer, a magic caster class within the world that boasting a high magic output, they also had several AOE attacks at their disposal. The last person to emerge onto the beach and finally member of their well rounded party was another familiar face. It was odd how many people the druid was beginning to recognise. This man went by the name of Xylef and Zyrune had run into him at the same teashop that he and Shikiodus had met at. If you ask me we need to tread lightly, at least until we all get a feel for the dynamic of our party." Although Xylef was relatively nice and easy to get on with, he was the only unknown that puzzled the druid. The man held a title known as Heretic. The druid knew that their origins came from the Miasma realms but other than that Zyrune was at a loss of information as he had avoided that region so far. He couldn't even tell if the man was a long range or short range combat class, however if he had to guess he would have said long range judging from the man's lack of battle amour that normal short range combat classes came with. Slowly and carefully the druid made sure to add each one to his friends list. He didn't know what lay before them once they made their way inside the temple of Tides. Zyrune couldn't even tell if they would be able to stay together as a group, the temple was renown for having difficult puzzles and enemies, not to mention that the temple had a habit of flooding partially, if not completely. It made sense to add them, if not for the sake of the quest as they needed the ability to use Telepathy, a rather useful function that had been transferred to this world once it became a reality, it allowed two or more people to conduct conversations with others wherever they may be in the world of Ender Tale, the only restriction was that they needed to be on your friends list. Scratching his cheek, Zyrune smiled at the group assembled before him. Shuwen, Silenter, Shikiodus, Artemisia and Xylef, the names lit up his friends list beautiful. Inhaling a sharp breath the druid went to address the group, the needed a plan, a formation and more information. If the temple held puzzles, information might just save them from life and death. However just as the druid was about to address the group another quickly appeared. Zyrune hadn't anticipated this. Unlike those that hard arrived on the boat with the druid, this adventurer was not part of the original group to accept the quest. Gripping his staff he studied the man. Zyrune's heart pounded and it was clear to see that the druid didn't trust him. During his first month he had been attacked by two characters who wore masks and if not for the handsome and courageous saber, Zyrune might have faced another morning in the Cathedral staring up at the brightly lit ceiling, his back once more pressed against the marble floor. Shaking his head of the frightening thoughts he waited for the man to speak before continuing. The man didn't appear to want to attack, instead he looked like he was willing to help. The druid relaxed somewhat. The party system of game was restricted to six adventurers, with the sudden arrival of this strange looking man, the number had risen to seven. It was common during raids to have several parties team up together to take on the raid and eventually raid boss. However a party of one was very uncommon and the mixture of confusion and surprise spread across the druid's face. In order to proceed, they would need to employ a similar tactic, the swashbuckler couldn't be left on his own, could he? He looked to the others for answers, hoping one of them knew more than he did about the party system and with formation might best suit a team of seven about to dive into an ancient magical temple. "We have seven people now and we don't know if anyone else is coming." Zyrune began trying to think of a solution. "I was hoping we could form a party, but with seven I suppose that is out of the question right?" He asked no one in particular. He had hoped that one of them would know something that could help them. The addition of the man wouldn't normally cause much of a problem, however they were unaware of how wide or narrow the temple corridors were. If the guardian used a move such an achor howl, the swashbuckler would be affected if he wasn't in the party, the same would go for party buffs and debuffs, anyone outside the caster's party wouldn't reap the benefits. Still they had made their bed and now they would have to push on. Hp:100 Mp:100

And so the introductions got underway. Apparently the guardian had gotten in some altercation with the druid in the past. Fortunately no grudges seemed to have been held over it. All well and good.
The next person was someone he was familiar with. The bard and idol he’d run into wil conversing with Apollo. He nodded towards him in acknowledgement but didn’t want to get bogged down in conversation, so he didn’t say anything. He pulled out his guitar for some reason and started playing a tune, which surprised him a little. It didn’t seem to be a system-assisted action, which indicated he actually knew how to play. I guess I’m not the only person who’s class was chosen based on their skills back on Earth.
Next was a foxtail Sorcerer named Artemisia who was somewhat higher-leveled then the party. The difference in level might be a problem, but hopefully not one their beyond their ability to cope with. However, her… appearance, was more then a little distracting to him. He’d need to do something about that. “H-ello there. I’m Shuwen. I wasn’t really dragged per say I was just…” he quickly realized his nerves were effecting his speaking. He’d best stop that. The studder at the start of his sentence had been humiliating enough. “I’vebeenwaitingforsomethinglikethis.” Unfortunately, his attempt to power through the last sentence led to him speaking too fast and mashing the words together, making them somewhat hard to understand. He was already yelling at himself silently for doing something so idiotic.
Finally, the last person was a blue haired Heratic. From what he’d heard, the Heratic classes’ ability had some kind of corrupting effect on them. While he was a bit curious, he wasn’t really interested in finding out firsthand. Fortunately, he seemed to be a relatively easygoing person, which meant he was less likely to be a problem. The fact he was saying more or less the exact things he was thinking, and even repeated an Art of War quote he knew was somewhat calming. The monk just hoped the impression he’d gotten of him was correct.
That led to the seventh member, the one who’d shown up after them that was most likely to be trouble. He was dressed like something out of a horror movie, and seemed a little too… intent Artemisia, at least that was who he seemed to be intent on. Shuwen’s had left his crossbow in his inventory to avoid losing it, and didn’t really have time to take it out, but if he had, he’d probably be taking aim right about now. He knew it wasn’t good to judge based on appearances, but the guy’s mannerisms and actions were also quite suspicious. All in all, Shuwen would have preferred to deal with him before he became a problem. Yet for some reason, the Druid didn’t have any problem with him, even attempted to let him into the party despite it being impossible due to them already being at capacity. What is he, nuts? He thought, avoiding looking directly at the druid as he talked to the masked newcomer.

Silenter got a great big smile on his face when he heard heard Zyrune say " Water under the bridge, so to speak". He was very happy, relieved, and excited to be welcomed aboard this quest. So excited that he picked the druid and gave him a big burly hug " Haha glad we can work together friend..." He then heard the young bard say some words the only words that got through to him were punching bag and margaritas Silenter dropped the druid and slapped the bard hard on the back. " That is right ill take all the blows for you my friends and margaritas are for children i only drink a mans drink and that is some good quality brew". Silenter laughed out loud again when he heard the monk shyly introduce himself. Silenter looked at him confused face for a second then got a big smile on his face once again " Speak up there young monk no need to be shy around us were goin to become true heroes on this quest..." Silenter put his hand heavily on the monks head " Just imagine us heroes..." He pointed to the sky with his other hand " slaying evil beasts saving the innocent then once its all done having a great banquet ah that is the life" He laughed loudly once again. He then turned his attention to the young fox tail making sure he said hi to everyone " Why are you not the cutest little creature on this ship" he squatted down and poked her cheek for second before standing again noticing the heretic next and listened to his statement, Silenter did not register much of it through. Only a few words caught his ear and that was the Heretics last statement "If you ask me we need to tread lightly". Silenter had never met a Heretic before, but that did not stop him from being chummy with him wrapping his arm around and almost giving another small speech of heroism "Do not worry about treading lightly friend we will make it through this easily we are heroes are we not heroes? I can guarantee we will make it through this no matter what beast or traps comes our way". What came next Silenter was not prepared for mentally it must have been the most bizzare looking swashbuckler he has ever seen. Silenter stared at the the Swashbuckler for good second before his face became pale and his stomach cringed as the boat rocked hard and he quickly turned to the side of the boat puking the remaining of his lunch. He then turned back and faced the creepy Swashbuckler frowned and said " I got my eyes on you suspicious creepy looking adventure". He looked him over once again then went to the front of the boat taking in the sea air and stared at the temple. They can trust me to take on any challenge in this temple i will keep my party alive and help those villagers....

Shikiodus got drowsy, he hadn't napped in a while, and began to nod off. “It seems you guys mostly know each other so let me introduce myself… I’m Artemisia." Shikiodus's drowsy eyes glanced towards a cute little fox girl, and he grinned "Joined the club, we got jackets. Also, watch your tails, fishies might think they are food." He chuckled, closing his eyes. “I hope we all get along.” Shikiodus nodded, slowing the pace of his guitar tune "Like Crow and Poe, darling..." He heard Xylef drone about some kinda combat wisdom that he totally read in a book somewhere. The sea breeze swept his hair to and fro, and he enjoyed its soothing touch. Shikiodus felt a presence towards the boat, and took a glance. A skeleton man clinging to the side of the boat spoke eerily, "It's you." Shikiodus closed his eyes, scratching his head. "Did i drink that much before coming here? Damn."
"I was hoping we could form a party, but with seven I suppose that is out of the question right?" Mushroom head seemed to be questioning something involving parties... "Well," Shikiodus slurred, "We could form tag teams..."
Slowly, he began to fall asleep...
WHUMPH! Suddenly, a large steel hand slammed him on his back, forcing him back to reality. "What the fu-!!" He looked at some proud and upright guardian, who said " That is right ill take all the blows for you my friends and margaritas are for children i only drink a mans drink and that is some good quality brew" Shikiodus gave a pause, before erupting in laughter "I love this guy already!" He punched the guardian square in the shoulder, regretting doing so silently after punching a shoulderplate, and paid more attention to him. "Just imagine us heroes..." He pointed to the sky with some kind of flair "slaying evil beasts saving the innocent then once its all done having a great banquet ah that is the life" Shikiodus laughed, "Don't forget the women!" Shikiodus laughed even harder, "Although i think Zyrune's summon has totally taken a piece of my cake." Silenter spoke once again, with his cocky voice, "Do not worry about treading lightly friend we will make it through this easily we are heroes are we not heroes? I can guarantee we will make it through this no matter what beast or traps comes our way". Shikiodus smirked at Silenter "Aye, we got you, our mighty metal pudding, to be our damage magnet!" When silenter said " I got my eyes on you suspicious creepy looking adventure". shikiodus yelped in suprise "Holy crap you see in my drunken visage?" he studied bone-man "Oh... you are real. you seriously need to get some armor with more flair. maybe paint the bones rainbow colored? I think that would be neeping cool. Also, think about being interesting. Acting like a dead dude just makes you terribly boring!" He looked out towards the sea, the temple lied ahead. I cant wait to cut up some critters... Word count: 504

What she had expected to be a complete group was far from it… little by little, a few more people joined the growing party on the shore. Arriving just after her was a Heretic… she had heard of them but her knowledge on them was few and far between. I’m really failing as a scholar here… She laughed silently to herself at the thought. She listened to the words flow out of his mouth and couldn’t help but feel disinterested, he was trying to sound cool with his flowery and profound speech but it was less than impressive to the Sorceress. Perhaps the only bit she agreed with was that they needed to tread lightly... especially in reference to the next, and last person, to join them. Arriving on a separate boat than her only a few minutes later, a strange fellow approached them, filling the area with a new level of creepiness. One of her blonde fox ears twitched and she looked at him out of the corner of her eye. He muttered something in her general direction, which sounded a bit like ‘it’s you’ but having never met the man, she assumed she heard wrong. If only her skill Hearing Aptitude had been toggled on, she would have heard him clearly. A chill went down her spine as she further observed the man. She opened the window to see his name and level… the name did nothing to quell her worry but his level did. She was a solid 35 levels above him. Nevertheless, she opened her inventory and selected her staff. A second later, it popped up in her right hand. This guy is going to cause trouble, I can already tell… Her green eyes drifted away from him and back over the rest of the group. If it came to it, she was prepared to put him, or any of them, in their place. The only person she felt the slightest bit of loyalty to in this situation was the Druid, Zyrune. Unless it got in the way of her failing to save the boy and helping the town, she had no intention of supporting this group. They had better put in work and not rely on her higher level as a crutch. Her fox tail swished repeatedly as she regarded the group. As she contemplated such complicated things as player killing, a hesitant voice reached her ears. It sounded almost embarrassed as he stuttered along. What was probably a look of deep thought melted off her face as she looked over at the one called Shuwen, a blue haired monk. She smiled and laughed softly when all of his words jumbled together. She waved at him to acknowledge his greeting, giving him a playful wink along with it. Her heart belonged to someone already, though, so she would have to be careful not to tease the group of boys too much during their time together. For a moment, she wondered if she would hear back from the message she had sent off earlier on the boat. As if she needed to add more people to her list of potential targets, the Guardian of the group made a terrible mistake. Silenyordle, or Silenter, kneeled down in front of her and pat her head, giving her some line about her being cute... as if he were speaking to a dog or small child. Artemisia gripped her staff tighter, biting down on her lip to keep herself from speaking an incantation and sending this man to the Cathedral already. She knew her appearance often confused others but she was neither dog nor child and this man would be well suited to learn that quickly. If he touched her again, he would surely find himself in flames. Fortunately, she was distracted from her intense urge to light both Barry and Silenter on fire when Zyrune spoke again, bringing up what should have been an obvious issue. She quickly counted and reached the same conclusion he had… there were seven of them and that was simply one too many. “ We don’t have to form an official party, so long as everyone just stays together?” She offered simply, she didn’t know how big of a difference it would make to the success or failure of their quest but there was nothing that could be done about it now. A friend request popped up on her display, flashing at her to either accept or deny. She accepted it and immediately navigated the necessary windows to send out her own group of them – one for each of them. “ Our only other choice is to form two parties, but I’m against it. If we did go that path though…” Her green eyes glanced around again, “ I would say it’s Zyrune, Silenter, Barry and Xylef as one team and then myself, Shuwen, and Shikiodus on the other,” She was trying to make what she thought was balanced teams but she couldn't help but notice the two she found irritating somehow made their way onto the other team. Was it subconscious? " But, in the end my vote is for staying together,” She tacked it on the end, just to keep her stance on it clear. Somehow, she felt today was going to be a long day… --- Notes: Artemisia's speech color is #a6a9f8, should have included that last time. "Do not worry about treading lightly friend we will make it through this easily we are heroes are we not heroes? I can guarantee we will make it through this no matter what beast or traps comes our way" The man known as silenter assured. Xylef had to laugh at the comment momentarily, but his words following were in a much more serious tone "I would like to think you are right, and your enthusiasm might be just what this party needs at some point, but I don't think everything is going to be rainbows and sunshine." A temple of untold danger lay before the group, and prime time for relaxation would not come until after each one of them had finished the dungeon. It wouldn't be so far off if one were to say that the adventuring party had become a group of interesting souls. Silenyordle seemed to be quite the interesting man and it wasn't too hard to get along with him, but seemed to not know when to get serious, the same could be said about Shikiodus. Shuwen seemed to be short sweet and to the point, but his nerves were not hidden at all when talking to Artemisia. Artemisia had been nice yet comparatively quiet leaving less material to work off of. Finally the leader of this motley crew was Zyrune a man who could easily be described as the Leader type and was probably the best suited for the job. A message popped up in Xylefs notifications, a friend request from Zyrune, it was a good idea, and telepathy could serve to be vital in traversing the temple. Such a Dungeon may have been unfit for the average level of the party, however Xylef could not know exactly what difficulties were contained inside until the party had at least started. Unknowns could easily bring a party down, and as Xylef had though he had factored in the main unknowns a new one appeared in the form of a Swashbuckler named Barry. The man wore a peculiar outfit and his mumbling under his breath did little to help the situation. One more factor to deal with and the obvious exceeding of the max number of party members. Wouldn't this create quite the conundrum, Zyrune was the first to verbally point this problem out, and he was likely one of the first to notice it at all. Comments on this field were thrown left, right, and center including Xylef's own remark "I think the teams should be balanced based off of what bonuses each class gives their party, and normally I would say how each member worked together as well, but in this situation we have little or no clue who works well with who." “Our only other choice is to form two parties, but I’m against it. If we did go that path though… I would say it’s Zyrune, Silenter, Barry and Xylef as one team and then myself, Shuwen, and Shikiodus on the other.” Artemissia had brought up her ideal team, but Xylef had quickly responded with his own thoughts "From what little interaction we've seen I believe Shikiodus would work well with Silenter, Artemissia and Zyrune would be on opposite parties as our two highest levels. Then after filling in the blanks," Xylef paused for a few seconds and and sure his team ideas were balanced, or at least as well as they could be "Ah yes I've got it! For the first team Shikiodus, Silenter, Barry, and Artemisia creating a balanced team with support, tank, DPS, and ranged respectively. The other being me, Shuwen, and Zyrune. With me being ranged, Zyrune acting as support and ranged, then Shuwen acting as tank and DPS." In a rather short period of time Xylef had come up with what could very well be the best combination of the team members skills and levels. "But, in the end my vote is for staying together” Artemisia added on to her previous statement. In response Xylef had to point out "Well yes, but us being in separate parties does not mean we need to split up, and of course dungeons love to break up groups, so if we must separate we will at least in that way have a definitive and hopefully balanced group of people to work with until we can fully regroup."

As Barry approaches the adventurers, he knows himself that they are being suspicious about him. " Shit, I let my emotions to spill out, I should have used my [Silent Move]" Barry whispered on himself he sheathed his weapons and wave using his two hands shouting " HI I"M FRIENDLY, I MEAN BARRY NICE MEETING YOU ALL, I'M JUST PASSING BY" While Barry is getting closer and closer he observed them one by one, He knows already who is in-charge once he saw the Druid " This one is Neutral" and then shifted to the Blue haired Monk " This one is sixty percent hostile" saying to himself and then the Guardian met eyes with Barry, they exchanged stare but the guardian puke, after he turned back he said to Barry " I got my eyes on you suspicious creepy looking adventure" Barry replied " Stop staring or you'll get me pregnant Hi hi hi" partnered with a blush and a wink. Barry's attention suddenly directed to the yelped he heard. It was the bard who utter a short sharp cry after observing Barry, The Bard speak " Oh... you are real. you seriously need to get some armor with more flair. maybe paint the bones rainbow colored? I think that would be neeping cool. Also, think about being interesting. Acting like a dead dude just makes you terribly boring!" Barry laugh with sarcasm and draw his knife tapping the back of the bard lightly with the knife's hilt and saying " HA HA HA HA Of course I AM REAL!.. Real as this Carving Knife that I have, want me to paint the walls with your blood? I think it would be neeping cool and that would not make our adventure boring and I'll use your hide to make and play a drum muahahaha " continuing his maniacal laugh and tapping the back of the bard. While Barry is laughing at his Murder themed pick-up line his eyes drifted to the fox staring for three to four seconds. Barry becomes serious and stopped laughing as he remembered what happened to him before spawning on the cathedral a few days ago and begin his own quest on search of the party he encountered. Then the druid spoke "We have seven people now and we don't know if anyone else is coming." Barry pause for a second and uses his brain juice " I was hoping we could form a party, but with seven I suppose that is out of the question right?" the druid followed. The fox gave her idea and said “ Our only other choice is to form two parties, but I’m against it. If we did go that path though… I would say it’s Zyrune, Silenter, Barry and Xylef as one team and then myself, Shuwen, and Shikiodus on the other,” As well as the Heretic shared his line up and plan "Ah yes I've got it! For the first team Shikiodus, Silenter, Barry, and Artemisia creating a balanced team with support, tank, DPS, and ranged respectively. The other being me, Shuwen, and Zyrune. With me being ranged, Zyrune acting as support and ranged, then Shuwen acting as tank and DPS."" You two gave a good plan making a balanced two team parties, I'll give that a two sever thumbs up! hahaha" Barry praises the two, "That would be our first option" gesturing his finger as one. Barry sat and told the party " Is someone here knows any information about the temple of tides? ,we do not know also what terrain that we are encountering once we get inside and what kind of enemies are there and me, I only know that there are some bad ass hungry monsters lurking in the shadows" Barry give his opinion "We should scout first then plan and adjust, but that would be a long one" Barry gesture his fingers as two "if you like to tread lightly that is our second option". Barry keeps on talking blatantly stating what his brain juiced have been produced. " The third option will be, like this.." Barry uses his carving knife to draw on the dirt. " As usual the Guardian will lure what he can on a single side, three to four that would be good, then the Bard and the Druid will follow and support him while doing this because the Guardian might tripped and fell on the ground while running hahaha" Barry look and spoke to the three. " The Monk would go to the other side and will try to single out any near enemies, for the Heretic, he must disable atleast one to two strong enemies then quickly divert your attention and support the the monk on killing the weak ones. While The sorcerer will overlook the battlefield and lend her support to which ever needed it most""Me? I'm gonna be your awesome guy I'm gonna chop all the farthest weak ones and if ever there is none I'll be the support of the support and if ever the disabled strong enemies have started to moved and you all are not finish yet with the routine, I'll intercept that enemy so hard that they will shit their pants if they have one HAHAHHA ,I'll be the bait Shark bait~" "Our first priority is to eradicated the weak one or if ever the enemy have a support we must get rid of that quickly, then you will focus on the Strong one after all of his annoying friends dies"
"By the way our line up is.. Party 1 = Druid, Monk, Guardian, Sorcerer, Bard, Heretic. Party 2 = BARRY THE CHOPPER!... like I said.... I CAME HERE TO PASS BY"
"kapish?"... Barry then sing his favorite song. My axe is my buddy, I bring him when I walk
me and my axe will leave your head outlined in chalk
My axe is my buddy, he always makes me laugh
me and my axe cut bigot spinal chords in half
My axe is my buddy, and when I wind him back
me and my axe will give your forehead a buttcrack
my axe is my buddy, I never leave without him
me and my axe will leave your neck a bloody fountain
[CHORUS 2x:]
everybody everybody everybody run
murdering murdering murdering fun (everybody dies)

Hp:100 Mp:100Finally the group had come to terms with each other and for the first time the druid felt like they could finally push forward or at least attempt to do so. They had all decided that perhaps it was best to work together, however Barry did seem to be causing some problems. On the one hand he made great suggestions, but so did the others. Barry had intended to hold up the read with everyone else in the party working together as the moved and explored the temple. Though he doubted that people would have been happy with that, especially how Barry had appeared into the group. Trying to keep from sighing out loud during the discussion, he was happy to see that the group had plenty of more experience than he did when it game party formation and eventually they had managed to work out something that worked for everyone, for the time being they would go against forming a party, however if they came up to what looked like a raid boss level area or something similar, then they would revisit the area of having two balanced parties, for the time being however they would work together but not within the party system, the druid just hoped that each adventurer took that into account when they started casting their skills, for example they needed to make sure that no one else would be affected negatively by the effects, but other than that he didn't see a problem, he could easily heal anyone party or no party. After things had settled down somewhat and the group had rested briefly after long boat ride, they had briefly discussed the elder's information between themselves, but now as they looked towards the overgrown path, they had bigger things to do. They needed to find the temple and fix the issue before anything else happened, there was so many lives depending on their efforts. The elder had mentioned a small path nearby that would lead to the Temple's entrance, he had mentioned that it would not be the sort of thing they could miss, but he wouldn't elaborate on it any further. Zyrune pushed forward towards the path ahead of them hoping that the rest of the group would be right behind him. "If we are going to make this work, we need to start planning what we are going to do and how we are going to do it." The druid had spoke as they made their way along the path, apparently their had been some lingering doubt about Barry's involvement and the druid had to admit each worry was valid, not only was his appearance very strange, but he was strange or just too friendly with strangers he had just met. Without any more interruptions, they managed to make their way towards the temple entrance. They needed to move and leave the landing area, it was common knowledge that monsters swarmed the beach at night and they didn't want to linger there any longer than they had to. Without any more interruptions, the group managed to follow the long winding path over grown with foliage, it hadn't taken very long and the elder of the village had been right when he said that they wouldn't miss the temple. It had taken slightly longer than the druid had expected, but the druid hadn't expected them to take very long, if anything it was the over grown foliage that had been keeping them from their destination. Eventually however the group stood at the edge of a large clearing, opposite them stood a great large oval doorway, it looked weathered and like everything it must of looked good when it was built, but now it looked ancient and desolate. From their current position, they couldn't really see much of the temple, the druid presumed that since the temple of ides was renown for flooding that it wasn't going to be very tall, instead he presumed that the majority of it would lay under the sea level beneath the ground or lay behind the structure they could see. However the interesting sight lay directly before them, it was a larger ring clear of any plant life, which struck the druid odd seeing as how the plant life seemed to be out of control on the island. In the center of the clearing, the druid counted at least a dozen rune like rocks with odd carvings etched into them, however they appeared wet as if recently touched by water. The runes lay scattered about, each one varying in shape and size, some were the size of a small rock, others appeared to be the size of a small house pet another others were as large as Zyrune's couch had been. Yet all of the runes lay within the large barren ring. Cautiously Zyrune stepped forwards hoping to inspect some of the runes before they ventured any further. Kneeling down on one knee, the druid brushed his finger over the carving, tracing it for a moment wondering what it could mean. For a second he could have swore it glowed but just for a moment if even that. "Come." A soft feminine voice the sound of velvet on honey spoke through the air, it seemed to draw the adventurers towards it, Zyrune couldn't stop himself from taking a step further in towards the center of the clearing and judging from where the others stood, they hadn't been able to prevent themselves either. Growing nervous now the druid readied himself, ready to cast if needed. His heart now had been pounding against his chest since the voice had spoken and yet somehow he knew the voice had calmed him if not just for a second. He wondered what was going through the others minds but as he cast his cast around to see how had spoken, he felt it wasn't the time nor the place. "You come seek me where my voice sounds, yet I cannot sing above the ground." The voice spoke once more, this time it felt so close as if standing beside the young druid. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up and he felt a chill run down his back. "Patience is bitter but the fruit is so sweet." The word sweet lingered on the edge of his ear more than he liked and yet he couldn't stop it. The musical voice fell silent for a moment before it voiced once more, "Defeat my endless horde and face the first challenge."Beneath the group the group shook somewhat and for the druid it was hard to maintain his balance. The runes seemed to be the cause as each one seemed to glow and vibrate against the ground. It took Zyrune longer that he was willing to admit but the border around the area seemed to be glowing too fainter than the runes but still you could see a soft blue hue to the area if you looked closely, the druid guessed that it was some kind of barrier, perhaps the group had stumbled into a trap already or maybe this was the first puzzle? Thinking on his feet, the druid tossed a small pebble towards it, watching as it bounced back inside the clearing. Whatever it was the druid guessed the group wouldn't be able to move outside the clearing unless they somehow deactivated that barrier. That posed a problem as the entrance of where they needed to go lay just beyond the barrier. The druid could help but grow more and more confused. The voice didn't make much sense as it talked about patience and yet then it demanded they fight a phantom horde. He wondered what was about to happen, he guessed that if they couldn't leave, then nothing could get in and they didn't lack space, the clearing was about the size of a small classroom if not bigger. They would have plenty room to move about, though he guessed that something about it all had to do with the runes, why else would they glow and vibrate? His heartbeat increased in rate as the ground shook once more. As if the barrier had summoned them itself, a large amount of Sahuagan appeared at least three for every individual present appeared around them. This creature was familiar to the druid, they were partially humanoid if you could call them that, normally looking like a fish but with the ability to walk on land, normally favoring the use of it's claws, spears or tridents to attack. As far as he could tell, there were three distinct types of the monster. A handful of Young Sahaugin all within the Level range 4-10, about 4 Sea Sahaugin ranging from Level 10-20 and two Sahaugin Brutes level 30. The monsters usually inhabited low level areas that were high in water. As the enemies circled the group, the druid readied himself. Silenter, Zyrune, and Shikidous seemed to be getting along rather well; talking about fighting like it would be a breeze, about drinking and women. Shuwen sighed. He knew that it was a better alternative to them being grumpy and unfriendly, but that kind of small talk could be more then a little irritating at times, partially because it was neigh-impossible for someone like him to jump in, and partially because it was too easy to slip into a reckless mind-set while making that kind of talk.
The Guardian also tried to get him to join the conversation, telling them that they were heroes, and there was no need to be shy. Honestly, that made the Monk more then a little. Brushing one of the main symptoms of his ADHD (albeit an indirect one) like it was a speedbump made him far more irritated then it ought to have. His eyebrow twitched once.
Shiki continued to go right along with Silenter’s spiel. Honestly, Shuwen had very different opinions on the matter, but now was definitely not the time to air them. His eyebrow merely twitched twice.
The words and actions of the Assassin, Barry he was apparently called, only intensified Shuwen’s suspicions, casually talking about gore and casually brushing off Silenter’s threat. Why is Zyrune letting this guy join us again? Perhaps he was being hypocritical, considering his own past issues, but the guy was obviously bad news, cartoonishly obvious, almost. The fact Zyrune had let him in without batting an eye made the monk seriously start questioning the Druid’s judgement.
The fox-tail Sorcerer seemed somewhat suspicious too, though for completely different reasons. He wasn't sure what to make of the wave and wink she made in his direction, especially since he was the only person she did that for. He knew not to let his brain or hormones get ahead of himself, he was bound to just end up disappointed. He definitely already knew that. When they made eye contact, his eyes widened briefly and he quickly looked away, more then a little desprate to get his thoughts back on the quest at hand.
With too many people for a single official party, other options had to be considered. Some of the others threw in suggestions. He quickly did his own calculations regarding the best possible groups; The two higher-level magic users would need to be separated, that much was certain. There would also need to be a tank with each one, so Silenter and himself would also need to be in different groups. As long as the remaining players were relatively balanced... honestly, it seemed like either party would work equally well. It wasn’t until the the demented-looking Assassin added two of his own suggestions. The first was to proceed cautiously, and focus on gathering information. While this normally wouldn’t be a bad plan, they couldn’t under the current circumstances.
“We’re here to rescue someone Barry.” Shuwen explained, trying to keep his voice level. “So we’re probably running on a clock here; the longer we take, the more likely we’ll arrive too late. As for information, we were all given the quest without advance notice; I don’t think any of us had time to do any research, did we?” he looked around to see if anyone could prove him wrong.
The Assassin’s second suggestion was less welcome; sending a Guardian, who was likely the slowest of them to kite, and send the Monk, who had several AOE attacks and was knowledgeable of martial arts that would make certain types of enemies easier to hand, even in smaller numbers, to pick out single opponents, didn’t make much sense. Either he had distorted ideas of their capabilities or had something else in mind. He realized it was probably the latter, while the Assassin suggested positioning himself, a melee fighter who usually belonged on the front lines, at the back with only loosely defined or conditional roles. Yeaaaah no. He didn’t think anyone would take the Assassin’s last suggestion seriously, though some of the spoonier party members looked like they might be awfully accomidating, even under such circumstances. Fortunately, they didn't go with Barry's suggestion, and he didn't have to listen to the Assassin breathing down his neck.
And so they entered the temple of Tides. Now that his seasickness had faded, he was able to take a good look at it without too much in the way of distractions. He’d seen plenty of explorable dungeons in games and the like, but it as another thing entirely to see them in person. Of course, as he watched his surroundings, he kept on alert for signs of monsters, traps, and other puzzles. If only the blasted Assassin would stop singing and let him enjoy the scenery in peace.
Before too long, they arrived at a clearing. I’m sure they totally didn’t make this wide area so they could send more monsters or bigger monsters at it. He glanced at the circle of runes. “You think it’s a puzzle of some kind, or just a trap?” He asked no one in particular. Now that they’d gotten down to business, his words came significantly easier; most of his focus was on the quest at hand, so he had little to spare for spazzing out over some idle chatter. His question was (not really) answered by the loud voice that greeted them, making what he guessed what a reference to a series of young adult books, as a large number of Sea Sahaugin made their appearance, and they were forced to fight.
The of the Sahaugin made a break for him right off the bat, one releasing a jet of water from it’s mouth, while the other two charged towards him with tridents. Shuwen rolled to one side to avoid the water; fortunately, since the blast was slanted downwards, it didn’t hit anyone behind him, though he probably should have thought of that in advance. Gotta be more careful. He hadn’t bothered to bring his crossbow out, as what he planned to do next would require both arms. When they slashed their spears at him, Shuwen hoped just out of range so they’d fall short. Annoyed, the two sahaugin stepped in and slashed harder. Shuwen evaded again by circling around them, keeping at least one of the two between him and the third one who was keeping it’s distance and trying to peg him with another water jet. Once again, one of the closer sahugin attacked, this time with a straight thrust. now. rotating his body, he sidestepped the incoming spear and moved inwards, getting too close for the Sahaugin to use its trident properly. It tried to hit him with the shaft, but he jumped back and jump front kicked its lower midsection, doing a moderate amount of damage to the demi human’s health.
“So, is this a horde mode section, or a puzzle section?” He asked loudly now he had the chance, hopefully loud enough for the other adventurers to hear. Generally, when swarms of enemies appeared like this without any obvious way for them to advance, it usually meant one of two things. First, they had to defeat a set number of enemies or last a set amount of time before they could proceed. The second was they had to figure out how to advance while fending off the enemies that were really more of a distraction then anything else. If it was the former, then all they needed to do was focus on the fight until the enemy stopped coming, if it was the latter, one or more of them drop out of the fight in order to figure it out, while the rest of them fought defensively to buy as much time as possible.
That was all he had time to do though, as the sahaugin pressed the attack. Shuwen used Zoom Attack on the firs tone, in the form of a sweeping kick at it’s legs. Normally the Skill was used to extend the range of an attack, but it could also be used to strike from an unexpected angle, at a spot that couldn’t be as easily defended. He used the extension to make his leg much lower to the ground then it could naturally become then bent upwards to strike across the creature’s shins. It stumbled, it’s balance disrupted slightly. It tried to stab at him in response, but he rolled underneath the monster and collided with it’s legs, once again hitting its shins. As the full weight of the adventure struck its body’s base of support, the creature promptly fell forwards, practically on top of the adventurer, losing it’s grip on the trident. Finally. Now that it’s hands were free, Shuwen grabbed it by the arm and used an improvised variant of a judo move to toss the monster over his shoulder, right in the path of the second sahaugin’s incoming trident. Both monsters let out an angry sounding noise as one accidentally damaged the other, but they didn’t have time to argue as Shuwen was once again on the attack, kicking the still-downed sahguin in the chest and face. However, doing so rather then continuing to move created an opening for the third sahaugin to hit him with its water jet attack. The damage wasn’t significant considering the creature’s level, but the knockback sent him back several feet and onto his back. fuuuuuu He scrambled back onto to his feet.

Silenter got a sense of hostility towards him from the group, all except Shikioudus, and Zyrune. This was fine with him though, their opinions did not matter as long as they saved the person that was intended. Silenter still had un-easy feelings on the Swashbuckler Barry and he felt that most of the group of agreed with him on this. The druid still let him on the campaign though. Barry's combat suggestion did not make much sense to Silenter or matter much to him, sense barry was not leading the quest the only orders Silenter would follow would be those of the druid. Plus Barry the heretic, the bard, and Silenter were all level 1's we would need to realy heavily on the monk sorceress and Zyrun to complete this quest, This was just his opinion though and it seemed obvious one as well. These kind of moments are what drive him to drink, but he promised he would be sober for this quest so sober he will be. Once the temple seemed very imposing but he did not dwell long on that thought as he followed Zyrune into the temple. I was not long before they came to a clearing, Silenter gut was telling him something was off about this place and was on edge. Then came the voice of women, it was almost taunting them before it issued the first challenge to the adventures. Silenter thought about the riddle she had mentioned to them. There was no time to think about that though since the horde of Sahuagen had started to begin. Not only that they were locked in the area by what to look like barriers. Silenter new he did not like the feeling of this place, once again his gut had been proven to be right. The monsters began to encircle them, Silenter new there two important people to protect in this game if they were to survive and thos were the sorceress and the druid. Since the monk was a higher level than he was he would be able to take initial aggro first while Silenter made his way trying to be near the sorceress and the druid. The monk was the first to be attacked by one of Sahuagan. This creatures were ugly, a hybrid of fish and human the site disgusted him. The monk new how to fight as he dispatched the fir Sahuagan but left an opening and another used a water jet attack knocking the monk down. This was no time to be gawking as two more Shuagan be gan to rus his side on following behind the other. This time it was Silenters turn to attract some aggro as charged the Sahaugan. They did out range him a little with their tridents but that did not matter as Silenter charged into the Sahuagan using Shield bash on the first knocking it back to its group. He then jumped back a little making sure to his back was to his own group and started to attack the second Sahaguan attracting its aggro, he may have been a lower level but he could still take a heavy beating. Silenter thought he attracted the aggro well for now he was only going to stall and try to keep the Sahuagan off the group while they formed a plan. He yelled back at the group looking for guidance " WHAT IS THE PLAN ZYRUNE"!▲

Several different people offered up their own thoughts on how the party should be divided. Artemisia listened to each one carefully recognizing the pros and cons to each line up. The only one that had zero merit in her eyes was the nonsense suggested by Barry, making him a party of his own. The fox tail girl completely tuned him out as he rambled on and began to sing. If he proved himself useful later, she would reconsider her position on how she felt about him but until such time, he was only a nuisance to her and the success of their mission. As if to say the discussion was over and it was time to move on, Zyrune began to head down the nearby path. With a shrug, Artemisia followed after him and the rest of the group. The path was overgrown and took a bit of effort to follow but before long, the oddly constructed group found itself standing on the outskirts of a large clearing. Just on the other side was what she assumed was the entrance to the temple. Just before that was an outcropping of rocks, each one carved and shaped uniquely. The stones were slightly damp looking and she felt a small trace of power from them. The blonde girl watched curiously as Zyrune approached the rocks. The druid kneeled beside one and touched it for a moment. Artemisia’s green eyes narrowed at what she saw – she had definitely seen the rock glow, if only for a second and it sent a shiver down her spine. That alone was enough to warn her that perhaps the area was not safe and her mind switched over to a more battle-ready mentality. The fox ears on her head swiveled around, listening for any possible sound that may be approaching them and her grip tightened on the wooden staff she was holding. She was going to activate her Hearing Aptitude skill but there was no need, the voice which spoke was plenty loud enough to hear through her regular hearing. The voice, however, was surprisingly alluring, drawing her closer despite every instinct she had screaming at her to stay away. She had listened to the command the voice had spoken and because of it, she was now standing in the middle of the clearing with the other members of the group. The voice chimed again, filling her mind with what sounded to be some sort of garbled nonsense, possibly a riddle. Was the point to solve it? It didn’t seem like it was something solvable, at least not at first listen. Only the first part seemed to allude to something. Perhaps as an answer to the first part of the voices statement, the ground beneath them rumbled and shook. Artemisia bent her knees to steady herself, looking around quickly to see what the cause was. The stones from before were glowing and shaking, causing shockwaves through the ground underneath them. Seeming to have noticed something, Zyrune flicked a small rock at the edge of the clearing and it simply bounced back at him. Some type of barrier had been erected around them, meaning they were trapped inside. The ground shifted again and a small horde of monsters materialized inside the boundary. They were fish-like in appearance. “ Evaluate,” Artemisia immediately turned her gaze onto them, calling up the more detailed interface awarded to her as a Scholar. Most of the creatures which had spawned were low level but mixed in were two much stronger foes. The information she was able to see told her what should have been obvious – they were weak against Lightning based attacks. She had never intended to take the lead, to protect the low leveled ones around her… but with such high leveled monsters already, she had no choice. Artemisia positioned herself, toggling on her Spell Walk skill as she did, specifically lining herself up with one of the level 30 Sahaugin Brutes. It was clearly prepared to attack and was focused on her. Around her, the other members of her group had already begun fighting, sucking up most of the aggro. Without wasting a moment, the blonde raised her staff into the air, channeling the necessary mana for her spell. “ Magi Lightning, Grand Fall!” It was a nerve wracking 5 seconds while the spell prepared itself. The Sahaugin Brute lunged towards her but, just before it would have reached her, a bolt of lightning crashed down on it, crackling loudly. The monster stumbled, taking a large hit to its HP bar. With little in her arsenal to defend herself, Artemisia took the chance to back up a few steps, keeping herself more near the back of things. She had needed to be forward to get the monsters attention but now that she had it, a bit of distance between them was necessary. She peeked up at her mana, as a sorcerer it was important for her to keep track of it. Without it, she was find herself defeated. I still have enough… Her next spell was sure to be a heavy drain on her mana reserves but if she could pull it off, it would benefit the entire group. “ Frigid Wind,” It was an area of effect spell, one that would effect all of the monsters in the area. The spell kicked in a few seconds after she cast it and the temperature plummeted in the enclosed space. It would be harmless to them but for the monsters, the constant onslaught of cold, snow, wind, and ice would be enough to slow and potentially freeze them. So long as her team watched her back and her mana supply held up, the Sahaugins would find this fight was not in their favor. With this, even the lower leveled members would have time to dodge and prepare against the monsters. -- Notes: I hate doing this to people but Shiki hasn't been logged in since about the 25th or 27th, so I'm going to go ahead with my post. I struggled to get this out, I don't like it much but I didn't want the thread to wait any longer. Words: 975 Tags: Zyrune, Shuwen, silenyordle, Shikiodus, barrythechopper, xylefAbilities Used: Magi Lightning, Grand Fall: - Sorcerer Class, Tier I Skill - The Sorcerer raises their hand or weapon to the sky and performs a casting animation, causing a portion of the sky to saturate itself with mana. Afterward, a thunderbolt will fall from the sky and strike the foe for lightning damage. This skill cannot be used on a target indoors. If it is cloudy or stormy when this skill is used, its damage is doubled. If used in stormy weather, it also splash damages everything within 1 meter of the target. The sign of a bolt from the blue is a significant phenomenon talked among the People of the Land, so this skill has had a number of names such as "Fury of God". This skill is notable for being a technique with a massive range, except that its casting time and cooldown prevents the skill from being anything other than a combat initiator. This skill has a casting time of 5 seconds, a range of 25 meters, and a cooldown of 30 seconds. Frigid Wind: - Sorcerer Class, Tier II Skill - A skill with a slightly longer casting time than equivalent techniques like Frost Spear, but a potential greater effect against multiple targets at once. The Sorcerer casts a blizzard over an area, pelting enemies with a shower of snow and ice. This not only slows down movement speed, but also starts crystallizing part of the targets' bodies in ice. If exposed in the blizzard for long enough, a monster might even be unable to attack or defend for several seconds. If a fire-attribute attack was used on the target at least one turn prior to this skill's use, this skill is treated as though the target's ice resistance was lowered by 1 stage. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds and a cooldown of 30 seconds.

Many wonders had brought the bold adventurer on a perilous journey to improvise, adapt, and overcome the harsh circumstances of the wilderness. She rode her horse several kilometers out from the thick of the marshlands. Traversing through the poisonous bog and enduring the torment of parasitic insects and buzzing hornets. Alongside her champion steed, she had to fend off against goblin hordes and nasty vile venomous snakes. It felt like a literal Indiana Jones type adventure as the cotton candy haired wolf hair moved valiantly through the marshlands.
Icarus neighed wildly as his hooves sloshed through the bubbling swamp. Saskia took delight in the fact that at least she didn’t have to traverse the swamp on foot, as she wasn’t exactly too thrilled to get her greaves wet ad have her feet drenched from the goopy green liquid. After a few hours she had made it to the isle of Thule, a simple fishing village, where she she made a stop by the drowsy drifter inn.
After being tipped of about a point of interest from the local barkeep after she bribed him. She heard about a area called the Temple of Tides. It seemed like a rather interesting and foreign site just ripe for a splendid expedition. Saskia couldn’t help but be thrilled at the thought of unraveling whatever deep secrets or mysteries that lied within. As she finished the contents of her wooden mug and walked away from all the patrons that indulged in their alcoholic stupor. She snaked through the crowds of people as her sapphire eyes caught notice of shifty con artist swindling people out of their hard earned money in a game of cards or shooting loaded dice to tip the odds in their favor.
As she left the tavern, she desummoned her horse and made her way to the pier and slipped some coin into the hands of a ferryman that could take her to the temple. They took of and she enjoyed the contents of the fresh spring water from her canteen as she rested on the back of the boat and lied down, taking a nap as the boat sails gently over the waters.
Once they arrived at the location, she found the glorious temple to be rather astounding. She marveled at the grand scheme of all the architecture and intricate designs that were on the outside and began to wish she had a camera to capture the moment. She eagerly tapped her fingers together wondering what glorious treasures awaited her from within or what new manner of creatures she would have the luxury of fighting with. She was fired up for a new round of adventure as she stepped off the rocky boat and checked out the entrance.
Glancing down at the dirt before it, she saw several tracks. Possibly other adventurers that had already entered. They were fresh. Were people already there plundering the great treasure of the temple of Tides!?!
Saskia stroked her chin as she began to fathom about possible alternate routes as she examined the rest of the territory. She saw a broken bridge that led up to an upper level of the temple on the right side that no normal humanoid being could jump across. However, that proved to be of little challenge to Saskia and her gallant war horse, Icarus. She summoned her trusty steed and began to travel at a gentle gait, before approaching the bridge and making off in a brilliant stampede before leaping across the large gap.
A confident smirk exuded upon her lips as she traveled closer into the area. Noticing the the door was too small of a gap for her horse to enter, she desummoned him and traversed the terrain on foot, bringing her inside a tomb with golden brick and purple lanterns adorned across the walls. The whole placed seemed awfully eerie as she continued to travel throughout the area. She found herself in an empty room with three large levers.
As she glanced at the trio of levers, she pondered curiously. Looking to her left she saw an door that was blocked off by iron bars. To her right, she saw a ladder that led upward , though it hadn’t been brought all the way down yet.
She figured that the device had something to do with getting out of the area, so she glanced up at the ladder curiously and inferred that the one on the right must be the one to bring it down. As she made her way over to pull it, she felt a sharp resistance. The lever was stuck. With a snarl on her face, she aggressively tried to force it by placing a leg on the wall and pulling with both hands with all her might. Eventually, the lever gave way, as did the floor underneath her as she activated a beacon that teleported her high above the outside of the temple above the other players.
“Aggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!” She screamed as she flailed about falling into the depths below making an epically embarrassing faceplant onto the ground, surrounded by the unfamiliar adventurers. “Ooooof!”
She groaned as her arms wobbled, trying to muster the strength to bring her to her feet. She shook her head, which brought the pink rose petal strands of hair swinging around as blinked in a dazed manner succumbing to the fall damage she had took from the fall.
She soon found herself among a battlefield. However, she was not alone, and was in the company of fierce allies. It seemed like she may have came across a party or guild of sorts, as she heard a familiar name echo from the mouth of one of the guardian’s that slammed his shield into an enemy.
“Aw, shit..what in bloody hell is going on?!” She exclaimed as she looked around noticing that a sorceress was conjuring up animated spells to use against the vile sea monsters. It was a wonderful display as she conjured up a beautiful gale that thrust a blizzard at the enemies, encompassing them in a winter wonderland. It was a beautiful and enchanting display as the snowstorm poured over her targets and damaged them over time in a violent tundra.
She felt the rhythm of war thump in tandem with her heartbeat. She gave the creatures a fierce nod and ushered a sharp whistle, summoning her grand warhorse from the void and grabbing the knob of his mount as well as the reins and hurlig herself upward onto him.
She withdrew the greatshield from her back and unveiled the Long spear she had attached to her back as well as the mounted Knight gazed fiercely at her opposition.
“ Hey Zyrune, my cotton candy haired friend! Nice meeting you again! Party invite please! Class buffs are always nice for the extra edge!” Saskia said as she tilted back her head with a cheerful grin. She seemed to be thrilled by the danger as she held a burning fervor in her eyes and charged valiantly onward into the fray toggling on her [Knight’s Heart] ability which granted her boosted agility and heightened aggro presence on the field.
She entered the shattering snowstorm and stampeded towards the giant brute that was struck by the lightning spell as well as the other brute.
Saskia noticed that after the area of effect skill, most of the aggro was being drawn to the sorceress, so she thrust her spear in the air and let out a thunderous war cry. “Anchor Howl!”
She gather a great chunk of the hate from the Sahaugins as she gathered the attention of the two level thirty brutes.

After a short rest from a long and somewhat sickening boat ride, the party had began to make it's way through the foliage of the island that obstructed the path to the temple, and it wasn't that harsh of a journey before the adventurers had found a clearing before them. As the party made a way to the center of the clearing and runes on the ground made themselves evident. "Does anyone know how to read ancient gibberish?" Xylef Joked just before a soft voice boomed through the clearing, it seemed that it's calling had attracted each of the group for one reason or another. Xylef stepped forward, but acknowledged "Well a random voice calling out, seems perfectly normal does it not? I personally would add some rhyming for flavor if I made such a quest."Well I guess it's my time to tag out, Xylef thought to himself as the words endless horde were spoken signaling that a battle was likely to begin. In battle Xylef's regular personality stepped back into the shadows and assessed the situation, while a more cynical side of came out to fight the battle. Xylef referred to his battling personality as the dissonance, it was similar to his regular personality, but it changed multiple aspects. In gauging the situation, Xylef noted that the levels of the enemies could easily leave Xylef troubled to defeat any one of them on his own. Support skills from Xylef would be more valuable to the group than attack or defense skills, his root Shackles of the Sentenced would work nicely. The way that Xylef held himself was changed as the dissonance took control of his body, but it could easily be mistaken for a simple change from regular to battle stance. As his stance change Xylef took the time to equip his crystal ball as it allowed the casting of "Centripetal Buffer" charged for the minimum of three seconds. It would be too dangerous to use the skill fully charged, but Xylef figured that that by his placement in the party and if the guardians and monk were doing their jobs, he could prepare his first spell without difficulty. Once Xylef had Centripetal Buffer cast he moved in to cast a root on one of the lower level mobs that the melee classes had not drawn aggro from. The monster had tried it's hand at Xylef, and it would have succeed had Centripetal Buffer not provided defensive capabilities. "Shackles of the Sentenced" Xylef shouted in a slightly different voice than how he regularly spoke. The Shackles did well to stop the monsters advance as Xylef called "One rooted on me. Miasma Bullet" A casting of his most offensive spell would work well, had be not noticed a spray of water shooting at hm from one of the Sahuagin. His Buffer would not block the attack and the monsters level was more than enough to seriously injure Xylef so his only option was to cancel casting and dodge. Xylef instead of moving away from his rooted foe moved closer in order to get two hits in from his Centripetal Buffer. Six corruption were added and Xylef made note of that for the enemy before retreating as to not be in close range when it escaped from the root. A potential answer to the question as to whether this particular part of the dungeon was related to long battles or puzzles, had found it's way into Xylef's mind by the time that the question was asked "I do believe that the word endless means that this is a puzzle, but I'd give it a second before jumping to conclusions." Xylef's words were accompanied by moving to support the monk with two attacks to the monster left of the monk, while being careful that Shuwen held aggro. Then Xylef used an attack to cancel a water jet targeted at the sorcerer of the party as he moved back towards the center of the party. As he reached a relatively safe spot two of the three crystal balls floating around Xylef faded into nothingness. The spells Xylef cast had not not caused any direct corruption to Xylef, but the use of Miasma would leave him with a few points either way, another thing Xylef would have to watch out for.
