For those of you who thought the Christmas season is going to be all nice and peaceful, think again.

As the Snowfell season arrives, Landers speak of a superstition where a mighty white wolf will descend to the earth to spirit away naughty children. Many may chalk it up to an old folk tale, but it was said that some have previously gone face to face against the mighty beast - only to fall in battle and wake up as though they had a horrible nightmare. Is there a hint of truth to this matter? No one knows for sure. Drift to sleep and dream yourself a hero.

- Characters with a Main Class under Level 90 will have their level raised to 90 for this fight.
- Due to the nature of this fight, a character whose HP drops to 0 (including Landers) will only be knocked unconscious for a short while (you must make 2 posts without any rolls) or until targeted by a resurrection spell.
- This fight qualifies as a Snowfell Festival thread.
- There are no turn cycles except for no double-posting. You have a limited amount of time, so fight hard and fight fast.
- The deadline to defeat Fenrir is 1/3/2016 at 11:59 PM PST. If it is not defeated within this time, the quest fails.
- Fenrir is NPCed by everyone. Please help keep track of Fenrir and participating members' HP.
- If you wish to participate, reply to this thread within 7 days from this post.

Fenrir has 40000 HP. You will make 2-3 rolls each post you make in this thread. Type [%roll=1-100%] for each roll (remove the percents).

Your first roll indicates the amount of damage you deal to the boss during your post.
- 1-10: Your attack misses.
- 11-70: You deal light damage to Fenrir this turn. Inflicts 1000 damage.
- 71-90: You deal medium damage to Fenrir this turn. Inflicts 1500 damage.
- 91-99: You deal high damage to Fenrir this turn. Inflicts 2500 damage.
- 100: You deal a heavy critical hit to Fenrir this turn. Inflicts 5000 damage.

Your second roll halved indicates the % of HP damage you take during your post from Fenrir's attacks. When you hit 0 HP, you are knocked unconscious. If there is not at least 1 character recently active in the thread performing a tanking role, Fenrir's damage is doubled. A character is considered recently active if they posted within the last 5 posts of the thread. This mechanic starts after this thread reaches 6 total posts.

Your third roll depends on the role you are fulfilling during your post. You can only choose one role per post, but you can change roles throughout the fight depending on context.
- If you consider yourself a tank, you may make a third roll and halve the result. That amount is subtracted from a character's second roll (can be yourself or the previous poster) to determine the amount of damage they take that turn. If you choose to defend, your attack roll has its damage halved.
- If you consider yourself a healer, you may make a third roll and it is the % of HP you heal yourself or an ally during your post. If you choose to heal, you do not attack that post.
- If you consider yourself a damage dealer, you may make a third roll. Increase your damage dealt this turn by the designated amount x 10. You may not apply this action in two consecutive posts.
- Resurrecting another character takes 1 full post's worth of actions and you may not defend/heal/attack. The resurrected character recovers 50% of their HP.
- A character cannot make rolls while they are unconscious.
- The following reforge effects may be used in the fight. Other reforges may be added as the fight progresses:

1. Damage increase reforges (maximum total cap 50%) will modify both your regular attack rolls and your DPS rolls. (A character with a 10% damage increase and deals 1000 damage deals 1100 damage instead)
2. Defense increase reforges (maximum total cap 50%) will modify your incoming damage roll. (A character with a 25% defense increase who takes 20% damage after defending will take 15% damage instead [20 x (1-0.75) = 15])
3. Every 4 points of HP increase reforge (maximum total cap 50%) will raise your maximum HP by 1% (A character with a Lv4 HP reforge has 101% total HP).

- Damage reflect reforges are considered to be damage reforges. Use Rule 1 to calculate.
- Damage nullify reforges are considered to be defense reforges. Use Rule 2 to calculate.

- Auxillary actions may be used along with the above three rolls. Depending on the character's role this post, one of these actions can optionally be selected and applied:

Tank:

- Provoke: Draws the attention of the boss. Increases incoming damage dealt to the character by 25% (multiply the second roll by 1.25x); decreases incoming damage to all other characters by 10 points each. When a character uses Provoke, it cancels all other active Provoke effects.

- Cover: Select another character within the past 3 posts. That character suffers 0 damage while the tank takes the incoming damage for themselves and that character. The third roll when used for defense is reduced by a quarter instead of halved. Cover cannot be stacked.

- Mitigation: Further increases the tank's defense roll by 5.

- Stalwart Defense: The tank's defense roll is raised by 10 and applied fully. If the defense roll is higher than incoming damage, any leftover points are subtracted from the next character's incoming damage. The tank cannot attack this post.



Healer:

- Healing Pulse: Divide your third roll by 5. All characters regenerate that amount of HP at the end of their post for their next 3 posts.

- Healing Fraction: Reduce your third roll by 10 points and divide it by 2, then choose two characters. The characters are healed by % equal to the resulting number.

- Healing Ward: The next character to post receives the healing effect from the healer's roll after damage calculation.

- Combat Medic: The healer may attack while healing. Halve the healer's third roll when doing so. 



DPS:

- Reckless Attack: Doubles your DPS third roll damage this turn, but also your incoming damage this turn.

- Careful Attack: All successful attacks dealt by the character are treated as Light attacks (1000 damage). Subtract 60 from the character's first roll. If the number is positive, that number is subtracted from incoming damage.

- Aimed Strike: Changes the hit calculations for your post. 1-20 = miss, 21-70 = light, 71-90 = medium, 91-98 = high, 99-100 = critical.

- Full Force: Changes the hit calculations for your post. 1-40 = miss, 41-50 = light, 51-85 = medium, 86-98 = high, 99-100 = critical.

- Glaciate: Freezes the ground 10 meters from the caster in a layer of ice for a minute, making moving characters slip and dealing gradual ice damage to foes. Cast time of 2 seconds and cooldown of 60 seconds.
- Icicle Spike: The monster generates several spikes of sharp ice that quickly rise from the ground and head toward the opponent. The trail of icicles lasts for 10 seconds and deals ice damage.
- Frost Cannon: The monster releases a dense blast of snow forward in a 10-meter long beam, freezing enemies. They are unable to move for 10 seconds unless they are targeted by a fire elemental skill.
- Bulldoze: The monster charges forward at high velocity while lowering its head toward the ground. This attack serves as a defense against ranged attackers as the monster quickly closes the distance.
- White Shroud: The monster shrouds up a snowstorm within the surrounding 10 meters, making it difficult to see even a meter in any direction. Sacrifices damage for range.
Description: A gigantic white wolf about five meters long. With its fur colder than ice and the physical strength of several men, fighting against this legendary beast is only possible due to the protection caused by seasonal Snowfell cheer.


The primary reward for defeating this monster, to all participants:

Fenrir Mount Whistle: A crystal glass whistle that enables the owner to summon forth a mount resembling Fenrir, the Howling Blizzard. The Fenrir summoned by this item possesses the stats of a Night Wolf if the owner is trained in taming mounts.

Other participation rewards will be given to active characters at the end of this thread.

Ah, winter. It was the perfect excuse to stay home, turn up the heat, and snuggle with your significant other. Or chop down trees and dress them up. Or hunt chickens and fry them up, because apparently that was a Lander tradition? Capsule was doing none of those right now, unfortunately, even though she was especially partial to the first. But when Landers were spreading their ominous superstitions around, one got curious -- especially since the beast was practically on her door step. It never occurred to her that she might be performing the first task.

As the so called monster was only the wolf version of Krampus, Capsule might have been inclined to leave it be. The only reason she was not was because she disliked catastrophe in her neighborhood, and monsters like these tended to drop some pretty interesting loot. Even those trash mobs during the Halloween event had been useful. With only three rolls at her disposal, the Enchantress was graced with high luck and scored a Star Candy Gummyhorse mount. That was what made it special, out of the other rollers with a greater number of dice than her. It was a shame her rolls were too high for any of the silly candy items, though…

"YO, ENCHWANTA!" Eh? Capsule, a little ways from her home, found herself staring not at the mighty wolf, but a little Lander boy. He was poorly dressed for the weather, held a large lollipop, and had snot frozen to his upper lip. "You betta go home, wicked lady. Or Fenrir will gobble you uppa!" The boy pulled back his lips in a snarl, revealing a set of broken and grey teeth. Apparently dental care was not a thing for his people. And was that supposed to intimidate her?

"Have you seen Fenrir? I am going to murder him and turn him into a rug…" She did not question why the kid was out here, exposed to the elements and endangering himself. There were many things a dreamer neglected, unless they were lucid.

The little boy sneered and pointed with his lollipop. "Ova der! But like I said--"

Before he could continue, Capsule spun on her heel and changed course. Her massive Snowfield Bear, Aleksei, was summoned at her side. She latched onto his side like a little red parasite, using his thick fur to climb onto his back. And like that, they were off. "YOU GONNA DIE, ENCHWANTA!" The small Lander child wailed at her retreating back, fresh snot leaking onto his upper lip. Death was always a possibility in this game, and it was not permanent.

Capsule suppressed a yawn as Aleksei charged towards the increasing sounds of violence. "I hope this does not go on for too long…" Could she get her wolf to go, please?

«I am having bad feeling about this. Tis in the Crystal Cavern. He will be no ordinary beast, you understand?» Was the polar bear suddenly getting cold feet?

«I know, but it will be fine. We have faced strong enemies in the past.» Her little Magic Light, dressed in the Desue skin, floated beside her to better illuminate their path.

The bear fell silent as they neared the cavern, but immediately roared to life once they were in it. Growling and with his head lowered, he launched into the Bulldoze animation at the white wolf. Naturally, the wolf would snap back in retaliation.

Rubbing at his eyes, Dorian blinked around at where he was, a slight drowsiness to his visage as he glanced back and forth down the seemingly empty street outside his guild's estate. There was a light layer of snow coating the pavements, and as he trudged forward in the direction his mind took him, his feet crunched through, leaving him a bit noisier than he would normally prefer. Stopping for a moment, he lifted his gaze towards a lamppost that seemed to flicker and fade, the light slowly losing it's flicker and fading into a gentle glow. "The poor thing, trying to hold onto itself with nothing helping it along." The flame seemed to batter against the cold wind that was breezing past, and eventually there was a sputter as it fizzled into nothing.

There was a sudden flash of light, and before the Shaman's eyes, a growling snarl and a howl echoed into the night as the face of an icy wolf emerged from where the light of the lamp had once been, staring down at him before dissipating just as quickly as it had appeared. Dorian recalled the fearful tales of a monstrous beast from the Landers, seen to be a colossal wolf that would steal children from their slumbers. A foreboding and harrowing tale, but the Shaman summed it up to an old wives tale that was designed to keep children from being bad. The equivalent of Santa putting coal in one's stockings for being on a suspiciously cliché 'naughty list'.

"Perhaps the tales aren't so fanciful after all..." Dorian gave the street a stern look, the other lights along the pavements flickering away; perhaps it was time to take action, and there was undoubtedly others out there that would be on the hunt as well. Quickly springing into step, he ventured out towards the outskirts of the city, only to briefly find himself in a new locale; the powers of the dream-scape and slumber meant travelling was not always as slow as one might imagine. Slipping closer toward the cavern opening that now stood before him, Dorian spied a battle already edging towards a beginning. "Is that... Capsule?" And so it was, the eager Enchanter already having arrived with her trusty companion; hopefully she wouldn't mind a bit of help.

Swiftly, the Shaman unsheathed his longsword, brushing past Capsule and giving her a nod to say he was with her. Concentrating, he surged his mana out quickly, conjuring a barrier of Damage Interception to envelop and protect the Enchanter just as she took the strike from the colossal beast. Turning his attention back to the wolf itself, he channelled Divine Subjugation, coating himself in a glowing yellow aura that would help draw the creature's attention, cutting forward at the beast's foreleg, only to narrowly step back and avoid the slash it gave him in return. "We may need a bit more help with this one."

The Swashbuckler walked down the streets, the sounds of cheer echoed all around him. It was the time for Christmas once more, and the People of the Land and Adventurers alike were all up and partying to their heart's content. A festival the developers had remembered to put into the game, it was originally the celebration of the birth of the savior who would take away the sins of the people and carry them upon himself, a heavy burden which no one person should ever have to bear. Due to the roots of the game, the developers may not have exactly had a good grasp of the true meaning of Christmas, or guessed that their players did not want religion in their games, but still wanted the celebrations that came with those occasions. It would not have been a bad move on their part, considering how religion had always been a sensitive issue amongst the countries of the world. The old world had enough problems as it was. They did not need another one to add to the mess.

In any case, almost no one cared about the original meaning now. Nowadays, it was simply an outlet for joy, one more festival to enjoy in a painful year of fighting, or a stressful year of researching and crafting, or both. Joy was an expression of happiness, and in a way it was an exit for oneself to empty out the pent up stress accumulated since the last time they could relieve themselves. That was reflected in the streets Icyferno walked through, the chorus of various Christmas songs which filled the air wafted through the smell of delicious hot food, doubly tasty on a cold night such as this. It was most definitely cold, and Icyferno did not want to be out for long. There was probably an inn somewhere around here, hopefully with a room for one more paying customer. It would have been so much easier if he had purchased a house here. There were mountain pears here, he had reasoned, but the Moon Dance Village had a cool guardian spirit. His decision was in the past though, so he had to live with the consequences of the choices he had made. And that meant finding an inn to spend the night.

But hold on for a moment. There was something strange about this situation. Icyferno was not the type of person to jump into social events. The very fact that he was here, at the heart of a celebration, yet not participating in any of the festivities whatsoever, was proof of that. So what was he doing here? Why make the trek from his new base in the Moon Dance Village to the Patridge, on foot?

It should be noted that Avon was still a relatively new place. It was, at least, a place with fewer Adventurers, when compared to Sarum. As a result, there were still mysteries in Avon yet unsolved, challenges which remained unconquered. He had yet to hear of someone slaying [Decayed Dendron], for instance, though he believed it had probably already been killed once by the stronger Adventurers on the server. Still, there was always a first for everything. Rumor has it that during the season of Christmas, naughty children would get punished, stolen by a great white wolf which takes them into the darkness of night, never to be seen again. It was, by all accounts, simply an old superstition, a ploy to make children behave during the festive season.

Yet, there was reason to believe it was more than just an old tale. Amidst the festivities, a small group of Adventurers proclaimed they had been fighting a powerful white wolf in their sleep, one which easily smashed through them like they were nothing more than dolls. He knew to take note of such abnormalities, and after some prodding, quickly discovered that it was all linked to the Patridge of the Pear Tree, so he deigned it necessary to make a trip there himself. As for why he would want to pick up such a challenge, it was not because there were riches and rewards in it. He did not even know if he was getting a reward for it. All he knew, was that Skuggi really, really wanted to see this wolf up close and personal, and the plant was interested in a festival separate from Halloween. So here he was, in a town celebrating excitedly, while he muttered to himself about why he was wasting his time here. He kind of regretted prodding. Skuggi would not have gotten its hopes up and pestered him to come otherwise. Then maybe he could have enjoyed a smaller Christmas back in Moon Dance village.

As he mulled over his bad decisions, he spotted the building he was looking for. An inn with three floors made of varying types of wood, with the sounds of celebration and smells of consumables mingling with the scents and sounds which were also spilling from many other establishments. He pulled the [Trickster's Cape] tightly around his body and moved to enter. Suddenly, he stopped for moment, removing his vanity gear, then cracked open the wooden door to warmth, food and bedding. It would not do for someone to mock him for bringing Halloween clothes to a Christmas party.

He took in the sight of a decently sized diner, patrons in the middle of a feast as they continously toasted one another and singing horribly. He winced sightly as the sounds finally came at him in full force as his eyes scanned for the one person who could rent him a room. There. Behind the bar. A man who looked to be in his early thirties, short brown hair and a shaggy beard. He was busy directing the rest of his staff to the various tables while preparing the alcohol for his patrons. It was less busy than the first inn he had been to, though, which had also told him they had no rooms left as they were all rented out to people who expected to be so drunk they could not make it back to wherever it was they came from.

As he approached, he noted the sounds of a Chef hard at work in the kitchens as well. They sounded busy. He hoped there was still space for him. When he reached the counter, he went straight to the chase. "I need a room for a night. Do you have any available?" The man looked up from making his drinks, eyeing Icyferno suspiciously as he had no friends to accompany him on this joyous night. After a moment's pause, the man determined Icyferno to be one of those loners who had probably forgotten there was a thing called Christmas and just came back from a fight, only to find the city inns booked full or was just a poor sod who forgot to renew his stay at another inn. Business was business, though. The innkeeper wiped his hand with a white cloth, then put his hand on the counter. Wordlessly, Icyferno brought up his hand and opened it, letting a bunch of coins fall into the innkeeper's hand. It was slightly more than the usual inn amount, which he did since he assumed rental during festivities would be more expensive, and he lacked the time to come earlier to book. The man nodded in approval, then reached under the counter to pull out a small copper key with a tag and placed it on the counter. "Merry Christmas to you, Adventurer," the innkeeper said in a gruff voice, then turned away to resume his work. Icyferno picked up the key by the tag, then headed up wordlessly, ignoring the party below. He had work to do.

Upon reaching his room, which was the last room at the end of the corridor of the second floor, he equipped combat gear and stared thoughtfully at the herb he held in his palm. He did not know if he was going to delve directly into combat, so he needed to be prepared, assuming it was real in the first place. He then lay down on the thin mattress supported by a wooden frame, ignoring everything else in the room, then ate the herb, chewing through the disgusting flavors as the toxins in the herb got to work in his system. Skuggi simply waited at the edge of the bed, almost hopping in excitement.

Then sleep overtook him.

He expected to awake facing the ceiling of the inn, but as usual, things had a way of going all wrong. He returned to his senses with a ferocious howl of an angry wolf, and suddenly found himself standing in the same combat gear he had on before he fell asleep. Great. Skuggi was right.

What stood before him was most likely the white wolf the rumors mentioned. It seems he was late to the party, as the wolf was already fighting some Adventurers, one of which he recognized as that one drug dealer who makes really neat things. He squinted, and the wolf's information read as [Fenrir, the Indombitable].

Fenrir. A Norse wolf foretold to kill Odin and be killed by Odin's son in the events of Ragnarok. A powerful wolf that even the Norse gods feared. It was that wolf that was the source of the rumors. He stood, transfixed, as the Adventurers struck against Fenrir. But if Fenrir is a boss, then it can be killed. It did not matter that he could not see Fenrir's level. It did not matter that he had no info on Fenrir's attack patterns. Right now, at this very moment, the legend was alive, and he intended to challenge it. With a few dexterous swipes of his fingers, he summoned Skuggi to him, surprised that it actually happened. Everything felt hazy, as though he were still dreaming. How could Skuggi enter his dream? Heck, how could the other people enter his dream? They were all probably caught in some sort of dream dimension, sort of like a separate server.

Which meant that the only way out was defeat, or through Fenrir. And there was no Adventurer alive who would go for the former.

As he stepped into the fray, he noted that his power rivalled that of his time with the Pebble of Philosophy. Strength, while weaker than what he was used to, coursed through him, and he knew that it was time to use his best to take down the beast that even gods feared. He used [Fold Step] to close the distance between them, and with a swing of his sword, struck [Fenrir] on its left hind leg. He noted that its sharp bristles seemed to react to his blow, and that he took damage from just hitting him. He sensed the beast's attention turn to him, and in a flash, he was blown away with with a swipe of its front paw. As he was blasted back, he finished casting [Opening Gambit], and five small translucent cards appeared around [Fenrir]. Icyferno tumbled for a few meters or so, then regained his footing. As he did so, the location of one of those cards exploded as a pumpkin flew from Skuggi and smacked the card just before detonation.

But [Fenrir] did not even seem to be fazed by the assault. "Damn, this is one tough cookie." Icyferno muttered. His sword, the Abyss Edge, seemed to gleam in the moonlight, eager to claim the wolf's life to sate its hunger.

The fight was on.

Rumors. It was always rumors that caught Sayha’s attention… though that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. It was the holiday season after all, and it made sense that there would be Christmas-based mobs somewhere in the Unfounded Kingdom. So far, her searching in the Windsor Greatwood and her home in Moon Dance Forest brought nothing to her attention. Then she heard a rumor or a saying going around.

There was talk about a horrible monster that would attack people in their dreams. To Sayha, that sounded rather silly and would have normally waved it off, but she heard it not only from one person but a bunch of people, especially Landers. ‘If sleeping is the only way to get to the monster, if there is one,’ Sayha thought to herself, ‘then it must be random… or at least partially random.’ Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure would be to sleep… and hopefully it would summon the monster. With that being the case, Sayha returned home and relaxed, trying to research whatever monster would appear in her library. After a few hours of searching and no luck finding anything, it starting to get dark so Sayha headed out… catching a train to Avon Valley. After all, that was where most of the rumors came from. After arriving and getting a room at the inn, she headed to sleep. Maybe if she dwelled on it when going to sleep…

When Sayha came to, she knew instantly she was not in her home at all. There was a blizzard raging on, and there was a howl that ripped through the air. In Sayha’s hand was her scythe… after taking a good look around, Sayha could see a giant monster in the distance, Fenrir, the Indomitable. Around the giant wolf were three adventurers, two of which she recognized right away. They were fighting the wolf, and Sayha didn’t hesitate to start running towards them.

‘Let’s put logic aside for the time being,’ Sayha thought. As she reached the wolf and the others, she stayed out of melee range for the time being, instead slashing her scythe in the air, activating <Splitting Fang>. The projectile flew towards the monster, but it didn’t seem to do much damage. It was going to be a nice, long fight…

A huge eerie howling echoing through a certain cave on the mountain, sounds of metal clangs and adventurers shout could be heard from outside, he can’t believe he is running to that source right now. What actually happen anyway? Is that ‘Fenrir’ creature which that villager told me about?



This morning is like a peaceful day, there is snow everywhere and many landers children run along on the street. Lamenta was strolling around the street with a happy mood, he just arrive at that village this morning.



“Eww.. Look at that man, despite he is a guy, he wears a bunny mask, what a sissy” One of the Landers boy openly laughing right in front of him, there was a girl hiding behind him. That reaction is already common, but it still better than everyone taking a distance due to fear from his eyes. He let out a smile and mimics the way that boys talk at the beginning



“Eww.. There’s a boy who tried to be cool in front of a girl” He could see that the boy are trying hard to be cool in front of that girl by (shamely) insulting an older guy, he thinks that it is cool to insult someone. However, that attempt failed miserably, he blush embarrassed from that little teasing, the girl behind him chuckle a bit..



“Don’t think you win this round, I hope Fenrir will kill you” he run away leaving that girl behind,, huh.. . He though that he was trying to impress the girl, but he just ran away leaves the girl alone by herself. Not that he cares about it.



“It’s okay mister, I think that bunny mask is cute, please forgive him, he is a bit awkward sometimes” that girl smiling comforting, she think he was hurt from that boy irresponsible remark. Well…. At least she is more mature than that boy



“No worries kiddo… And don’t call me mister; I am still eighteen years old. So, what is this Fenrir he talks about?” That kid smells like a grass, it almost as she just rolled around on the grass a moment ago. Suddenly her smile gone, her expression changes to shaken.



“Errmmm…..” She swirling her leg nervous, it like the topic itself is quite scary “…. According to legend, it’s a mighty white wolf who spirit away every naughty children that it can encountered… That supposed to be an urban legend though, it’s like a story that parents talk to their children just to make them behave..” Her face become paler in a second, there is no way it just something that used to scare children there are something behind to it.



“If that is the case, why you look so pale?” The young Bard tried to dig every info he could get, yet no luck, that girl run away as fast as he could blink. He tried to chase her, but he lost her at a small alley.



“….Weird… Is this one of the Fenrir antique? Spiriting away that girl?” he chuckles on his own idea, it just an urban legend there is nothing to mull around it.

Pondering about something superstitious is like thinking which comes first the egg or the chicken. There is no right answer to that, some people might believe the superstition and some people not, Lamenta is the latter. Although, with some scientific approach, that could be solve. It just that he doesn’t have any knowledge on that stuff, so he decide to not trust it until he saw it with his own eyes.



A cold wind shifted in front of him. Suddenly an invisible force hit him, he suddenly feel drowsy and sick. He almost collapsed to the ground if he didn’t grab something to make him stands up. Then, he feels fine again



“Weird.. .What just happen? A moment ago I was fine”



He tried to sit down and think it with his clear mind, there is no way I get an illness isn’t it? I track my healthy habit, there is no way I can be sick, so what actually happens.



The Bard decides to go to nearby inn, to preventing if the same thing happens to him again. The inn was quite small, but it still bursting with life, there are many landers gather here, drinking to all their content. The inn owner was right behind the counter chatting with a customer while wiping a fine glass.



“Excuse me Sir” lamenta try to put his business smile, he needs to make this negotiation smoothly

The man stop from his current activity and smile back to me

“Anything I can do for you sir?”


“I’d like to have one of your room please”



The man stay quiet for a while, perhaps he is trying to lure out more from Lamenta’s statement. But he knows well, in negotiation, the one who hold no ties and has more information is at advantage. The one who need him at this situation is him, as he is a customer and the man is working as businessman, there is no way a business man would run away from a possible profit.



“How much do you have?” The man start talking while putting his muscular arm on the table as if he was showing to not mess around him. That intimidation of course won’t work on Lamenta.



“I have enough, all I need is a room for one –“ before he could finish his sentence suddenly everything become blank.



‘What? Am I dead? No the feeling is difference’ Lamenta trying to figure out what just happen.



Before he could figure it out everything become clear when he heard a sound of a huge roar comes from a certain cave.

And it back to present time, Lamenta was running approaching the source of the sound, he could see a full moon up there, the sound of the fight getting clearer and clearer as he comes close to the source

He could see three adventures fighting a huge majestic snowy white wolf, his fur emitted a cold aura around it..



“Is that Fenrir? Oh boy..it wasn’t just a tale after all”


He charge forward and ready to attack [Fenrir]



Lamenta sung a lively song that makes one want to rush into battle, causing the surface of the skin. That skill was one of Bard skill, [Speed Sword Etude], a skill where increase nearby ally attack speed increase. Although it only stands sixty second, but he hope it would be a help for his newfound companion

Capsule had not expected to do much, if any, damage to the beast. She was pleasantly surprised to have inflicted over two grand -- there was a sound of someone clearing their throat. It was deep and growly, so it could only be Aleksei. «I believe I did most of the damage. You just ode around on my back.» Hey, details… wait. How did he know what she was thinking? And why was he suddenly wearing a cap and had a pipe tucked between his teeth? Something strange was going on…

She turned to blink at an all too familiar Shaman, Dorian. He was casting some sort of shield on her, just in time to prevent the wolf from mauling her too badly. Where had he come from, and who were these other people? Aaaay, there was Sayha, too! Her Magic Light adapted a cheery expression as she lifted a hand to wave at the Assassin. Now that they had an Assassin, she and the Swashbuckler could -- oh, she missed. Well, perhaps next time.

Her attention needed to go back to evading the hostile wolf, which was still a little too close for comfort. Oh well. At least it was now targeting the others; Sayha first, and then Lamenta, a Bard. It would probably suck for Sayha, who was only level fifty or something. Or it should have. The girl was sporting the level ninety, however, which was impossible. Come to think of it, so was Dorian. Sayha was technically a grey area, but wouldn’t she know that a fellow guild member was level ninety? Aside from the Pebble of Philosophy, she had never heard of such a thing happening.

"YO, ENCHWANTA!" That voice! She whipped around to spot the owner, and spotted him. The nameless boy was suspended upside down from the ceiling, lollipop in hand, a snot bubble bulging out from one nostril. What the neeping neep was going on here? "Figure it out yet, wicked lady?" Slowly, the boy faded to black, becoming one with the darkness. By now, her Magic Light was wearing a spooked expression. "Youse dreaming."

All the pieces instantly fitted together. She knew the rumors, so she knew how to approach the monster. The problem was her lack of awareness when she dreamt, and dozing off with Mute her mind was anywhere but on children eating hellhounds. It would have been nice to prepare beforehand, but geeze… Would she even remember this when she woke up, or dismiss it as a vivid nightmare until her rewards came in the mail, or however they were gained?

Capsule offered the glaring eyes of the wolf a deadpanned countenance. It kicked up a White Shroud to envelope the area and the nearby Adventurers. She hissed as a paw swatted at her from amid the snowstorm. Great. Just peachy. Aleksei darted away from the wolf, seeking shelter but finding none in this icy cavern. It was time to get serious.

The Enchantress took out her Messier Order Divining Rod, and aimed it at the figure obscured by the storm. She hastily used Evaluate, and quickly scanning it saw the tools of destruction in the wolves arsenal. A whole lot of ice attacks, and some physical ones. Wheee. Capsule tucked the od out of sight, and held a palm out towards the wolf, activating Prana Drain.

Sayinh woke up abruptly in the guildhall, on the couch in his room. The room was still somewhat blurry as he sat up on the edge of the bed. His suit was hanging on the chair, standing right in front of an oak desk. As he stood up, he brushed through his hair with his left hand. The fact that his hair was always soft was just another benefit of this new, exciting world. It’s a minor feature, but nevertheless, it was there. He took on his suit, took on his scarf and left his room as the snow started to fall.

As he got outside, he found himself starring at a star, hanging between two buildings. As he stood there, the snowflakes falling in small quantities slowly dazzled down upon his face, and melted to small drops of water. He pulled himself back to the real world from his reverie.

He turned his head left and right, to see if there was anyone he knew. After a short pause, he realized that the streets were empty. Not a single soul were to be seen anywhere. He started running towards Christmas tree at the junction of the streets. He climbed the tree, looking out over the city to look for Dorian.

In the far, outer part of the city, a faint light was coming from what seemed like a cavern.
“Maybe that’s where Dorian is.”, he said, as he jumped from the very tip of the tree, towards one of the rooftops. He ran towards the lighting, which seemed like being Magical Light, because of it’s very vague lightening-ability. He caught a short glance of an explosion. He quickly equipped his armor, under the vanity suit, and then rushed towards the cavern. He stumbled on a stone in the ground, but quickly regained balance and quickly started running again.

In the cave, a fierce fight between a bunch of Adventurers and an event boss. Looking at the interface, he saw that he was late. Capsule, Dorian, Icyferno, Sayha and Lamenta had arrived before him. Wait, Dorian was here. He stood as Tank, though being a bit in the back since he’d lost a good chunk of HP. Sayinh leapt to him, and asked about the situation. Sayinhs mind had already turned from the drowsy, slow state it was in before, to the analyzing, more technical fighting state.
“Keep me free of his slow, that all I need of you. I have to be able to move, then I’ll keep his aggro on me.”, Sayinh said, as he rushed towards the frontlines with a smile of excitement.

As Sayinh landed at the frontlines, he casted Anchor Howl, turning the aggro towards him. The big wolf then swings its two-meter long foreleg. The claw came fast towards the Guardian, as he double-activated Seeing Repulsion for his right side. He prepared for impact by getting a good grip in the ground, as he placed his shield behind the barriers. As impact happened the wolf’s claw was sent flying back the way from which it came by the barriers.
“Attack now! While he is still knock-backed and has his attack speed lowered!”, Sayinh yelled to the DPS’ standing behind him.

Here's a bit of clarification since there's some confusion:

* While it is true that you need a tank for this fight, Fenrir's "double damage" mechanic without a tank doesn't start till 6 posts in. This allows for people to get set up.
* How does the tanking mechanic work? You see that Dorian was tanking during his post, the 3rd post in the thread. This means that, unless anyone else were to tank, then Fenrir's damage will double 5 posts after his post unless someone else takes over (the 8th post in the thread). Fortunately, Sayinh's post (the 8th post in the thread) is that of a tank role. Now you have 5 more posts to make before someone has to tank (the 13th post in the thread) or Fenrir's damage is doubled. GM posts do not count toward this countdown.
* Heals apply after you take damage for the turn. However, be careful as if you are knocked unconscious by the initial attack, your heal fails. You may not overheal (maximum HP % is capped at 100%)
* Even if your initial roll misses, you still may apply damage if you are rolling as a damage dealer (referred to as DPS below).
* Skills you use during the fight are considered to be flavor text for your post. So Speed Sword Etude would mean your attack speed in-RP does go up. But basically this keeps the fight from being too easy were certain skills to be used as their effects apply (Prana Drain, Necrotic Corruption, Thorn Bind Hostage, etc).
* Rules may be adjusted as needed as the fight progresses, according to how the fight is paced. Any changes made will not affect previous rolls. That being said, I'd like to make some changes:

Rule Changes:

- Damage system change. Lowered the chance to miss from rolls of 1-20 (20% miss rate) to rolls of 1-10 (10% miss rate). Increased the chance of light hits from 21-70 to 11-70.
- The restriction on DPS consecutive actions has been removed. 
- The following reforge effects may now be used in the fight. Other reforges may be added as the fight progresses:

1. Damage increase reforges (maximum total cap 50%) will modify both your regular attack rolls and your DPS rolls. (A character with a 10% damage increase and deals 1000 damage deals 1100 damage instead)
2. Defense increase reforges (maximum total cap 50%) will modify your incoming damage roll. (A character with a 1% defense increase who takes 11% damage after defending will take 10% damage instead)
3. Every 4 points of HP increase reforge (maximum total cap 50%) will raise your maximum HP by 1% (A character with a Lv4 HP reforge has 101% total HP).

- Damage reflect reforges are considered to be damage reforges. Use Rule 1 to calculate.
- Damage nullify reforges are considered to be defense reforges. Use Rule 2 to calculate.

- Auxillary actions are available for each role, one of these actions can be selected and applied once per post as desired:

Tank:
- Provoke: Draws the attention of the boss. Increases incoming damage dealt to the character by 25% (multiply the second roll by 1.25x); decreases incoming damage to all other characters by 10 points each. When a character uses Provoke, it cancels all other active Provoke effects.
- Cover: Select another character within the past 3 posts. That character suffers 0 damage while the tank takes the incoming damage for themselves and that character. The third roll when used for defense is reduced by a quarter instead of halved. Cover cannot be stacked.
- Mitigation: Further increases the tank's defense roll by 5.
- Stalwart Defense: The tank's defense roll is raised by 10 and applied fully. If the defense roll is higher than incoming damage, any leftover points are subtracted from the next character's incoming damage. The tank cannot attack this post.

Healer:
- Healing Pulse: Divide your third roll by 5. All characters regenerate that amount of HP at the end of their post for their next 3 posts.
- Healing Fraction: Reduce your third roll by 10 points and divide it by 2, then choose two characters. The characters are healed by % equal to the resulting number.
- Healing Ward: The next character to post receives the healing effect from the healer's roll after damage calculation.
- Combat Medic: The healer may attack while healing. Halve the healer's third roll when doing so. 

DPS:
- Reckless Attack: Doubles your DPS third roll damage this turn, but also your incoming damage this turn.
- Careful Attack: All successful attacks dealt by the character are treated as Light attacks (1000 damage). Subtract 60 from the character's first roll. If the number is positive, that number is subtracted from incoming damage.
- Aimed Strike: Changes the hit calculations for your post. 1-20 = miss, 21-70 = light, 71-90 = medium, 91-98 = high, 99-100 = critical.
- Full Force: Changes the hit calculations for your post. 1-40 = miss, 41-50 = light, 51-85 = medium, 86-98 = high, 99-100 = critical.

It's a little complicated still but it's a system that's being tested to allow for people to do boss fights like this without direct GM intervention and know how long the fight will last. I'll describe the math accordingly.

If this were the old world, such a story would have been something she would have immediately dismissed as a story that parents would have told their kids to keep them from causing trouble during the holiday season. But since this was Elder Tale she was in during the season, then... Well, you get the point. This same prompt was already done a couple times already in this thread. Tl;dr: Adventurers are a cynical bunch in real life. Adventurers are an eager bunch to enter the fray of battle when legendary monsters show up. Adventurers gather up and fight the boss. The End. The young Heretic was one of the first residents in the small housing ward of Partridge when it was established. Given that the town was situated on the mountainside at an elevation where snow was fairly common year-long, it was one of the places where the vernal feeling was present for a good portion of the year. However, this year was when the stories of the white wolf started to circulate. There had been a number of Adventurers staying in the town as of late, many of them guests who wanted to experience the holiday spirit from the place where it all started. Around this time a year ago, the Winter Ball had been held at the Festivity Hall on the top of the hill. It was the first actual celebration of the Christmas season for the Adventurers, as the year before was nowhere nearly as festive. Called the Silent Christmas, the Adventurers were taken from their world just before the Christmas season and it had left many too depressed or confused to know what to do. Nevertheless, the recent rumors of the mysterious white wolf brought a new group of people to town. The Adventurers who were more eager to face tough challenges were the first to book rooms at the nearby inns. And as the nights went on, the rumors only became more vivid. The tale of the white wolf described a behemoth that took its residence in the Crystal Cavern. There was naturally a large group of Adventurers waiting by the pretty landmark at every hour of the day, but it was mentioned that those who sighted the beast did so only when they fell asleep. A fight that took place within a dream, supposedly. Nevertheless, Adventurers woke up in cold sweat, swearing by the vicious strength of their adversary. As a resident of the small community, the black magician had her own suspicions toward what was going on this year. If the stories were true, then she probably needed to carry all her useful equipment in her inventory before bed. It had been some time since Midori had suggested for Laelia to meet with Ephemeral Solace and so the blonde-haired girl was becoming a more infrequent sight at her home. It was for the best, she supposed. The other girl may have been a Lander, but she was better off staying somewhere else at a time when this kind of incident was occurring. The girl, staying in her room in her personal housing, closed her eyes. She did not know how long it took her to completely drift off to sleep, but her peace was broken immediately at the sound of a wolf's roar. Opening her eyes, the dark-haired magician found herself standing right in front of a cave. Checking her surroundings to make sure, the girl had trouble discerning whether this was a dream or not. Her sensations were very much realistic at this moment. She was doing a number of reality checks and all of them were indicative as though everything were real. Overall, it was her easiest experience with lucid dreaming if it were a dream. Nevertheless, maybe it was just another world she had slipped in. "I have no idea if everyone here is real or not. If we ever meet in person, if you remember all of this, tell me a joke involving wolves." There were already a number of Adventurers who had drifted into this world before she had, and they currently had company. It wasn't just any white wolf, it was the legendary Fenrir of mythology itself. A celebrity among wolves and quite possibly one of the staples of any RPG involving mythological creatures. The girl prepared herself for battle, pulling out her control bar and sword and wielding them in her two hands respectively. A puppet materialized at the ends of the control bar, tethered by magical strings. She felt a power similar to her experience with using the Pebble of Philosophy, but it was a different source. She didn't actually have the Pebble of Philosophy right now; Laelia did. Nevertheless, if this is the same kind of power, then her trusty puppet should have enough power to handle this fight. With a command of her left arm, she called out a human-sized mannequin that ran forward and grabbed onto the beast. [Kaos]

Each Day Is an adventure in  its  own  right 494x1.1= 543 Words

    Kaos listened to the wind howl as he lay in his bed. The sound seemed odd to him, more like an animal than the wind, yet somehow melodic. Soon, he was asleep the world around him melting away and fading into silence. A silence that was broke suddenly by the howling of the wind again. He sat up, expecting to be in his bed but instead found himself outside in the snow.


     What the.... Did I start sleepwalking suddenly? He stood up and looked around as the sound of snarling soon came to his ears. He drew his sword, Summoner's Fiend, and watched the etchings begin to glow and illuminate the snow around him with a beautiful blue-purple glow under the moonlight.


    He searched around him and saw nothing, yet the sounds of combat soon came to him. What is going on here? He closed his eyes and listened to try to pinpoint the source of the battle, then as if he had already known where to go began running towards the sound. He felt lighter, faster, even stronger as he approached the battle, footsteps appearing in the snow. Soon he say the great beast in front of him.


    What the ----. This looks like the Indomitable Wolf the villagers described. This wolf is supposed to be a myth, much like Fenrir, right? Well, in this world I suppose anything is possible. He looked around the battlefield momentarily and saw several adventurers, all were level 90. He looked at his own level and noticed it was raised to 90 as well. Hmm... that's odd... Quickly he opened his skills and saw several new skills and smirked to himself. Either I am dreaming or this is the best thing to happen to me here yet.


    Kaos levels his sword and swings it once in front of him, causing a summoning circle to appear in front of him. Out of the circle rose a 6 meter tall squid, its two tentacles reaching out of the circle as its 6 arms glide through the snow, searching for a grip on the ground. Kaos smirks, knowing what he must to to keep his summon loyal to him.

"Release the Kraken!" He yells out to the beast as the squid bellows happily, attracting the attention of Fenrir.

    The great white wolf turns towards Koas and the Kraken and snarls. Well... that might not have been my best idea.... The great wolf howls, causing great spikes of ice to rise up from the ground continuously as the come towards the Kraken and Kaos. The spikes crash into the gelatinous body of the giant squid, angering it greatly. Kaos flinches as two of the spikes stab him in the legs as they erupt from the ground as they continue on their path. The Kraken launghed its tentacles toward Fenrir, as if they were small missles, smashing into Fenrir's face and tearing at it with the small teeth embedded into its tentacles clubs.

The Assassin sat quietly at the top of Avon’s capital building, a blade swirling patiently in his fingertips as he stared out towards the distant horizon of the sky where the black stars met the white tree line. The moon hung over head like a persistent beam of light in the darkness, keeping Saber awake as he looked over the city below. Avon was much like the other cities in the world of Elder Tale. Snow covered the ground, lanterns hung to illuminate the Christmas decorations, and people walked through the city even now in their happy-go-lucky ways. However for the Assassin, he was simply biding his time. There was a rumor going around the city of a massive wolf that appeared during the night. Upon hearing such a thing, Saber had made plans to go hunting and prepared his gear. To his dismay though, no wolves appeared in the city below nor did they appear around the outskirts. There had been a few but none matched the description of the massive beast from the tales. Saber had even taken a book from the local library but said book was useless. It was a ghost story told to children to keep them awake at night.

The single thought of it just being a lie made Saber rumble within his throat. If it was nothing more than just a story, then he was staying up for nothing. All of his preparation would become useless and his time would be wasted. If there was one thing in the world he truly hated, it was wasting time. If this tale was indeed just a form of a Christmas boogeyman, then there would be hell to pay. The Lander he had overheard spreading the lie would find themselves an unhappy visitor. Saber expressed his aggravation of the topic with a heavy huff and looked up towards the moon. It was early in the evening. If there was indeed some form of massive wolf beast that stole children away then it would not appear now. No, it would appear once all of the lights in Avon were long put out. He had time for a short sleep, so he would steal some. The Assassin hated sleeping before a fight but this season had been a busy one, especially with his preparations for another expedition to the west. Yet even though he wanted to resist, Saber turned back and slipped into the attic-like space behind him and pulled his cloak around himself. The restless warrior closed his eyes and eased his body to sleep, letting his mind get a few tender moments to relax… But, even that was cut short.

Seconds into his drift off, Saber’s eyes snapped open to the sound of a roar. A sharp breath escaped his lips and he instinctively rolled forward to his knees, half of the sword on his left blade coming out of its sheath as he moved. He paused; room clear. No threats. Saber wiggled his nose and scanned again, his eyes sharpening as he searched for where the sound had come from. The roar came again, followed by the familiar sound of combat. Instead of from the room, the noise came from outside. Quickly, Saber moved to the window and stepped out, his foot planted firmly on the frame of the exit. A chilled breath escaped the Assassin’s lips, a fog billowing out around the front of his scarf. The blood in his veins ran hot and adrenaline burned into his muscles as his heart rate increased rapidly. So, this was his trick.

All around, Avon was desolate and quiet. The world he was now in was visibly different from the other he had just been in and there was no doubting where Saber was now; a world in between his dreams and reality. There were no traces of the people whom had just been walking in the streets and the lanterns which illuminated the stalls dangled without any attendants. The isolation may have put young children into a state of fear but for Saber, this was a blessing from the Gods. The air was picking up and he could tell that the winds of war were upon him. This was what he had prepared for, however now he simply needed to find his enemy. The sounds of the wind whipped at his ears, yet he remained still. Slowly, Saber eased his breathing and lowered his heart rate in order to remove the thumping sound from his eardrums. Within seconds, he became a living statue.

Left, beyond the walls, the cry boomed like a signal. Saber’s body moved the second it pierced the air and he was gone, his body evaporating into the coming blizzard. His steps were quick, light, and tapped across the rooftops of Avon’s buildings as he moved in haste. He crossed the cityscape in under a minute and vaulted up to the protective wall around it, planting himself firmly at the outer edge. Three beats of his heart passed before he sighted flashes in the distance; there were others? Good. This would make things easy. The blizzard, however, would not be so kind as to make it easy. But this storm was child’s play. The Ice Queen had put him through his fair share of dangerous storms and to be honest, this Wolf already seemed like a pathetic pup rather than a massive boss.

A sly grin crossed the hunter’s lips as he stared out into the wall of white, the faint outline of a mountain just barely on the edge of his vision. When there was another flash and another cry of the wolf, Saber lunged forward and dropped to the world below. He fell far and fast, but the landing didn’t even faze him. The instant his feet touched powder, he tucked into a roll and then accelerated towards the mountain. His cloak fluttered in the wind and his hood pressed into the right side of his face. The trail of carbon-dioxide coming from his lips warmed his cheeks as it was pushed back into his face, but not a single feeling of coldness touched Saber’s skin. Sweat poured out, even in the freezing temperature, and his body boiled. The thought of fighting something worthwhile brought a pleasant feeling to his body and Saber reveled in that.

And that feeling only grew stronger as the silhouettes in the distance slowly became visible. Saber’s eyes narrowed and his mind became a blank slate. Almost immediately, a switch flipped in the man and his entire being became focused on one, single goal; eliminate the target. The massive beast slowly emerged from the white wall and its fur glistened even in the roar of the blizzard. Several other players engaged it, fighting and tugging at its massive health bar, but as Saber closed one thing became extremely apparent; many of the others were low levels. Indeed, as Saber closed he noticed the buff that raised levels, but the gear of the other players made their true experience very apparent. With that in mind, he went to work. The Assassin darted forward and joined the fray, his body snapping to the right as he swirled around the outskirts of the battle. His bow twirled into his fingers and an arrow snapped free from his quiver as he leveled his ranged weapon. He aimed, steadied, breathed, and fired. As he moved swiftly around the wolf from a distance, keeping himself beyond the wall of players that were already fighting, Saber fired a volley of arrows from the blizzard.

Black arrows emerged from the blizzard, whizzing by the other combatants as Saber targeted the wolf’s critical regions. The arrows pierced the flesh of the creature, two of the arrows blasting into powerful explosions as the Assassin cursed their heads with orange sigils. Poison dripped off the heads of a few others, and electricity sparked like lightning from one as it stabbed into the creature’s left eye. The wofl let out a pained howl, its mouth opening wide as it flinched from the impact. Saber skidded to a halt directly in front of the beast, an arrow already soaring through the air. Before Fenrir could close his mouth, the Assassin struck the creature in the tongue, a the black metal thorn piercing deep into the tender flesh. Saber grinned as blood leaked from the wound and down the pitiful dog’s mouth.

With several arrows fired and initial damage dealt, Saber twirled his bow onto his back and then darted forward. He burst through the front line and ripped his swords from their sheathes, his knuckles turning white beneath his gloves as he closed in. The White Wolf snapped its fangs together, its eyes boring down at the Assassin as the Elf appeared from the white haze. A heavy claw came down and whisked at the air, whiffing as Saber bolted beneath the creature’s body. His blades began to dance as he vaulted upwards, slashing at the exposed belly of the massive beast. Saber rumbled and blood stained his clothes and the snow around him as he tore open the monster’s body. Accel Dance keyed and his attack speed increased, allowing the Elf to quickly carve into Fenrir. He moved quickly, popping out behind the Wolf after his initial close-combat strike. As he popped out though, the Wolf smashed his foot into the Assassin’s core. Saber coughed and flew backwards into the blizzard. He flipped over his head, dug in his heels, and skidded for several feet before activating Hazecloud Vault. A massive smokescreen appeared around the Assassin, concealing him from view of the Wolf. A shadow moved upwards and as the cloud was taken by the blizzard, Saber was nowhere to be found, but only for a brief second.

The deadly silhouette of the Assassin dropped on Fenrir’s neck from the sky above; Assassinate chained together with Quick Draw and Fatal Ambush caused the Elf to strike at the Wolf’s exposed and defenseless critical region in the blink of an eye. A second after impact, Perfect Autopsy ripped into the wound as the shining speck of mana residue ignited into a brilliant explosion. A chunk of Fenrir’s health bar evaporated and Saber twirled on his heels at the sound of the blast, skipping backwards to create some distance between himself and the boss monster. He twirled his blades in his hand, a thin haze of air emerging from his scarf as his narrowed eyes focused on the Wolf. The fight would be long and hard, but this was what he lived for.

This… was why he was born.

As Sayinh practically danced around the Wolf, dodging most of the incoming attacks, he kept his eye on his allies. Whether they were behind him or behind Fenrir didn’t matter. His strategical skills made him, since he had eyes in the back, in form of Capsule. Since he could rely on the backliners he had, he was able to fully focus on tanking for the DPS’ running around him. He needed some kind of aggro, Anchor Howl still had 7 seconds of cooldown.

As the wolf got ready for a series of attacks, the Guardian uses Damocles. As he summoned the sword, which laid horizontally in the air, he told the others to get ready for a sword fall. Commanding Damocles to smite the creature standing in front of him, the sword fell from the sky. It took out a chunk of Fenrir’s HP, but it wasn’t much. Only one eightieth part of the wolfs HP. A bit disappointing, considering the amount of mana he used on it. This turned the attention of Fenrir towards him, and only him, just as he wanted it to be. The wild wolf, charged towards Sayinh, as it swept its claws from left to right. Even though he was able to block off most of the damage, he still takes quite a few hits. As the Wolf finally ended his sequence of attacks.

Looking back at Dorian, moving his mouth all high and mighty, silently saying.
“I’ll show you what I’ve learned from you!, as he moves around the slow powerattacks being used at his original spot. The light movements of his combat dance, made dodge, aggro tanking as easy as walking around doing nothing.

As he tanked Fenrir, a giant squid squeaks from the back. This creature was made by a Summoner, not standing far away from his summon. The squids squeak attracted too much aggro, making Fenrir focus the summoner and his Kraken. Before Sayinh was able to get the wolfs attention back, it sent out a line of icicles towards the Summoner. - Damn it! This’ll hurt! -, he thought, as he quickly swapped out himself with the Summoner, using Covering.

As he popped out at the Summoners location, the icicles pierced through his body, making him take an immense amount of damage, leaving him a bit vulnerable. - Oh well, mistakes were made. -, Sayinh though, as he drank an HP potion and ran towards Fenrir again.
“Dorian, keep me alive!", he said, with a smurk on his face, as he ran past the Shaman.

Things quickly changed within the cavern, as the colossal wolf bared it's fangs at him, his blade held aloft to protect himself, though it seemed a flimsy stick compared to the grinding maw of Fenrir's snarl. Dorian stepped back slightly, peering over his shoulder to observe the changes in the field of battle. Capsule seemed to be holding her own against the beast, her own monstrous polar bear companion raring to go as she brought herself some much needed support; luckily his barrier had done the job of keeping her out of harm's way for the most part. But, just as the Shaman had assumed upon journeying here, the dreamscape was now much more lively tonight, as a flurry of Adventurers surged in for battle. "You'd think it was Christma-..." The humour of his words quickly coming forward, he ignored his own silliness, focusing first on the wolf. A Swashbuckler of rather fancy attire seemed to enter the fray, striking out at the wolf with blades at the ready. The battle was truly underway.

Attempting to step back, Dorian suddenly felt his feet leave the ground, his body being swatted away by an angry clawed paw as Fenrir sent him sailing over the various heads of the Adventurers; luckily he was able to speedily right himself, landing gracefully amidst the cacophonous crowd of warriors. Turning his gaze towards a nearby voice, he chuckled at the one named Midori on his interface, shaking his head; it seemed he wasn't the only one with a bit of humour going for them. "I don't know about wolf jokes, but as for meeting up, drinks are definitely on me. After this howling experience, I think we'll all need one." A smug grin on his face, he nodded towards the Heretic, quickly averting his attention back towards the wolf; there were a few more Tank-like Adventurers on the field - including Sayinh, one of the only faces he recognised - which meant that it was time for a bit of support. The group was taking some hits, and could use a bit of help.

It was then that he felt a sudden surge of power within his body, new knowledge flowing through his veins as he looked at his interface; everyone here had been seemingly boosted up to a tidy level 90. Looking through his repertoire, Dorian spotted the perfect skill to use, stepping forward slightly to centralise himself amongst the Adventurers, swivelling his longsword so that it was pointed down and grasping the hilt in both hands. "Here we go guys, let him have it!" Concentrating his mana, he conjured up Cherry Blossom Barrier, everyone in the near vicinity suddenly being surrounded by Sakura blossoms; with this special barrier skill, everyone affected now had a sizeable barrier that would absorb up the damage from the colossal beast. It wasn't a conventional healing skill, but it was the best option for him at the moment. Scanning the area, he spied a few individuals that might need a bit more healing their way, brandishing his longsword to ready himself for the next phase.

Like thunder from the halls of valhalla they pounded. Like the din of ancient war drums they beat out their approach. Steam poured from the beasts back and nostrils. Black mane and fringes streamed in the cloud of light snow as ir billowed out behind the steaming steed. Its riders golden tresses whipping behind her as she drove the mount forward ever forward. In one hand the reigns the other a gleaming spear of freezing silver shined steel.

From behind her helmets face shield her blue eyes pierced into the flank of the mighty wolf. Fenrir. The bastard son of Loki. The cur that had taken mighty Tyr's hand. The brother of the world serpent Jörmungandr. Were this a viking saga this would be Raganrok. This would be one of the end times. Mighty Thor would be dying or dead as Jörmungandr slipped into the depths dead from a blow from mighty Mjolnir. And Thor, god of thunder, would walk nine paces before the world snakes venom did its dirty work. Thus bringing a twilight to the thunder god.

This was not Ragnarok or the end times. The thunder god was not battling the world snake and all the gods, if there were any in this world, were still very much alive. But if this beast, she and her passenger now streamed to fight, was the devil wolf that had broken free from his silken bonds then this could very well be the twilight of the gods and the world of men. And in this realm they were as near to gods among men as one could get.

She felt no chill in her bones despite the speed and frigid bite to the few points of exposed skin. No her blood was too hot for that sensation. In her veins her life essence boiled and frothed as her heart felt fit to burst in her chest. Bedwyr seemed to feel it too. The steed surged despite his heaving sides. He was as much a part of her as she was of him. They rode to battle together and fought together.

They could hear the din of battle and the gallant steed pulled more speed from his tiring flanks. Normally this would coax a smile from her delicate features. Not tonight. No, this was a fight where emotion would only be shown in scream of courage, the howl of rage and cry of pain. There would be few emotions till the beast lay dead and their weapons dropped from tired hands and the task was done. Then perhaps laughter. Then perhaps a cry of victory. Perhaps... perhaps.

She could just make out the monster through the thin trees and brush as they streamed for him. The gleaming silver lance rose to cradle in her elbow crook and ride just bellow her right breast. To hit the beast from the flank. To drive that wicked point into his side or belly. To split him open and watch as his digital blood poured forth onto the snow to steam and freeze and make another such attempt slick and full of gore filled slush.

Closer still. Yet still so far. Now she could make out his bellies height and adjusted the flight of the savage point. To maintain best control of it the hit would not be deep. Not nearly enough to inflict a gutting blow. But a blow it would be and one that would catch the vile devils gaze. No problem when she could take a hit. Her eyes cast quickly over the health bars of those present. So many were already damaged. Fine then. She'd draw the bastard of Loki's attention.

Closing in she brought her blade to bare and it bit into the underbelly of the child of Loki. The hit was not deep. Cutting into the skin but not deep into the belly muscle and organs behind. Still the mark would burn into the dogs mind and make it take notice of the attack laid against it. Turning her steaming mount to their combined left they streak away. Behind her she heard Nisha cry with glee as her own attacks hit home. Checking the beasts position as they streaked around in front of it she lets her own cry shatter the skies, "Dewch ar blentyn o Loki ! Wyneb i chi farw !" The whore son of Loki had heard her and understood her Welsh cry. The counter hit was quick and sharp nothing she hadn't experienced before so they pressed on. Streaming out in front of the killer of Odin she Bedwyr and Nisha turn to face the beast head on. Her next attack would be between his legs to either cripple one or lay another gash into his underbelly.

He just realized something.

As the battle dragged on, more and more Adventurers joined the fight. It was as if he were early to the party, or everyone was too busy partying and slept later, or they got caught in lag or something. Their figures, while cloaked in the darkness of night, were still visible due to the multitude of lights which floated about random people. He, for instance, was illuminated by an orange pumpkin covered in purple flames which was probably very weird.

He shakily got to his feet, the cold obviously not helping him in the slightest. He could still see the five card markers continously changing spots on [Fenrir]'s body, though it seemed no one else was focusing on them as the legendary wolf thrashed against the increasing horde of Adventurers. He swore he saw a familiar Assassin in the mix, though. Someone had summoned a massive kraken as well, and it was engaged in a brutal affair with [Fenrir]. That should keep it busy for a moment, at least. The whole scene was a picture of messy, a gigantic battle in which there was no real indication of who was doing what. He noticed that he was somehow partied with everybody else, though. Strange how it happened. Anyway, with the way the huge mess of a fight was going, [Fenrir] would be more likely to be simply overwhelmed with numbers instead of losing by tactics. He swore he heard someone talk about wolf jokes as well. Seems like someone was enjoying this fight, at least. Or maybe they still thought this was all a dream. That wound from [Fenrir] certainly was not a dream, though.

Someone threw a heal his way, which slightly reduced the damage he took from [Fenrir]'s first blow. It was a huge chunk of health that was eaten by that blow, so he assumed that the legendary wolf had used some kind of skill to not just blow him away, but amplify the damage. He could have probably intercepted the skill, but the beast just moved so fast! He would need some form of divination to time it well. The place they were in seemed unstable, as though the rules governing it was consisting changing as the battle raged on. What sorcery was this?

There was nothing he could do about it, though, so he opted to contiinute attacking the boss. He raised his right arm, index finger pointed at [Fenrir]. From this distance, it was impossible to ignore the huge wolf. He focused mana into his finger, and a sensation of power flowing out from him through his finger could be felt.

And then an explosion covered [Fenrir] as [Trigger Jackpot] activated. The flashiest skill a Swashbuckler had, it ignited all five cards around [Fenrir], surrounding the wolf in a storm of dramatic fire, which probably did not do as much damage as it did in theatrics. In reply, the wolf swung its body, using its feet as a pivot, and brought its tail into Icyferno's face. He had barely gotten his swords up in time to intercept the hit, which did not feel as heavy as it should have. Looking to his left, he spotted some tank covering some damage for him.

He backed off after that blow, content to let some other people deal a bit more damage before going in again. [Fenrir] had already lost more than a quarter of its health. They could probably end this quickly. He wondered why those Adventurers before them had failed, though.

Sword of the Unconquered One -- Level 90 Longsword -- Adventurers never truly die. No matter the challenge, as long as the will to stand up and fight once more still burns, one cannot truly conquer an Adventurer. They can be killed, but they will get back up each time until their adversary falls. Their greatest weakness lies in giving up.

The weapon has been forged to represent the undying will of an Adventurer. As long as the body can get up and fight once more, then the mind shall follow suit until the deed is done. It is a straight double-edged longsword with a blade made of a clean, whitish metal and a hilt made of a metal with a faint, yellowish tinge. With a fuller cross-section, the blade is approximately 80 centimeters long and 3.6 centimeters wide. The word “Invictus”, which means to be unconquered, is engraved on the blade of the weapon running from the base of the blade on one side in cursive handwriting. The hilt is made with a darker, silver metal, the cross-guard a plain horizontal bar and the grip a polished bar of metal. The Funeral Parlor Emblem is engraved into the pommel.

Vampiric Thirst -- Level 90 Ring --
A ring which imbues the user with the lifestealing capabilities of a mythical vampire. While it does not provide the superhuman abilities of a vampire, it also does not provide the user with a glaring weakness to sunlight and garlic. Constant usage may occasionally induce the need to drink something red. The funeral parlor emblem is engraved on the inside wall of the ring.

Reforge: Heal HP equal to 22.5% damage dealt

Paradigm Transposition -- Level 90 Metal Accessory -- The glory of science and its advancement is nothing more but a beauty in itself. The world is changing, and the universe's rules are steadily becoming more and more understood. This is an object, a model, of that understanding. It is one example of civilization's many steps forward into the next stage of technology; motion. This accessory is a small sphere that can be attached to another object by a small clasp, and inside of it two prisms have been placed with their peaks locked together. Their bases touch the edges of the sphere at equal distances, allowing the prisms to spin freely within the sphere. They move as one, twisting and twirling within the outer sphere as the magic power within them flows freely. The funeral parlor emblem is engraved within the walls of the sphere towards its relative bottom.

Reforge: 180% of damage treated as magic damage

Full Metal Coat -- Level 60 Coat -- Because even in one's travels, protection from the elements may not always be easily done. Sometimes, a little extra is needed. This coat is that little bit extra. Made of reinforced threads and an extremely thin layer of leather, the coat has a bit of weight to it and is resistant to most weather conditions while keeping a slick look to it. Sewn into key places on the coat, very small sheets of metal have been mended into the leather base, giving additional protection to critical strikes when worn. The Funeral Parlor emblem is sewn into the lower right hem of the coat. There is also the image of a goat sewn in right above the Funeral Parlor's marking.

Reforge: +5% physical defense, +10% HP

Mistilteinn -- Level 90 Longsword -- Swords forged in the flames of war are the most crucial, and the most treasured. They may not shine as bright as others but the stories of blood which they carry are far more precious than a silvery glow. This blade, wielded once by a man who knew no fear, carries many of those tales and has traveled far during its early years before it was lost. It saw many fields of battle and the man who owned it even took his first steps into the dark realm. However, unlike many who dare tread into the world beneath our own, this man returned victorious. Yet the blade was lost soon after, until recently recovered and reforged to become the weapon it is now.

90 centimeters of pure metal, this weapon is a straight sword with a slight curve beyond the guard to enhance its slashing ability. Near the tip, the blade takes a soft angle, giving the blade an extremely sharp point that allows it to pierce deep into foes. The metal is stained gray, its sheen long lost to the world due to its age but the metal core within the blade remains strong and nearly unbreakable. The hilt has also lost much of its color as the gold leaf that decorated the guard has faded in many places, and the leather wraps around the hilt show signs of heavy use. The Blacksmith who recovered this blade reinforced the base of the sword, resharpened its edges, and replaced some of the leather wraps but elected to keep the weapon's age. Due to this, the blade's history remains. On the flat sides of the pommel, the Funeral Parlor emblem has been engraved.

[Nisha]

It was a cold day, Nisha could even see her own breath in the air as she walked along the path. But once again her tails were doing her good, wrapped around herself, the nice tails made her look like a huge fluffball. Only her feet in the stockings and her ears popping out of the ball. Sure, she did not really feel the cold, but just looking around made her feel cold and as if she would be sick soon. Next thing she would know she would sneeze or something. That would be no good, even if this was a game, feeling sick was as bad as being sick and who knows how her body was. Mind stronger than the body and all, she had seen that show where someone had suffered a burn just because he had thought a spoon was burning hot. Getting a rash and all. That would just be worse than anything else if she woke up after the game and a flu had ravaged her.

Oh and she was lost naturally, wandering through the area like always with no goal in mind. But that was her natural state, she was nearly always in, having no hud or map, she usually lost her way and found back to civilisation some time later. Sometimes it took longer and sometimes shorter. But she always enjoyed herself on her little trips, leveled up even more than if she ran around with people. Not knowing yet of the epic adventure before her. One thing was obvious though, someone was drawing closer with a horse. The sound of the hooves easily audible and when she turned, she saw someone she knew quite well. Mikoto, she had helped get the horse back she was now riding. After all, there was a battle to be won and fought. Shortly after meeting Mikoto, they had heard the sounds of beasts roaring and swords being swung, spells fizzing off and general battle. One look at each other, Nisha had unwrapped herself in the meantime and they both knew they were ready for it. Raring to go even. And so Nisha had accepted Mikoto´s hand and was pulled on the steed. Not a cowardly one this time. One determined to get them where they just needed to be. Nothing else could be true.

Soon enough they were seeing what the commotion was all about, a huge wolf creature was being attacked by all kinds of people, Nisha saw even some familiar faces. Some she knew better and some less. Some she had fought with and some she had talked with even. No matter, in battle she would get to know them all now. Grinning, she decided to get out her trusty bow, a weapon she had gotten from a good friend, that was perfect for the occasion. Since Samurai where good at the bow in real life, she had decided to get as good as them as well. And she had needed a bow to reflect that. After that, acquiring skills for it was as easy as leveling up, always hoping her racial trait would not muck things up. But it was of little consequence even if, she was totally satisfied with her race, the tails were fluffy and her ears were alert. Perfect.

Nocking an arrow, she waited for Mikoto´s route and saw that it was straight at the beast. Instantly Nisha liked her that much more, no sneaking around with her and the horse made it all the cooler. It felt like the battle of the great caverns or the battles she had watched of lord of the rings. Sending an arrow out for the beast as they rode under it, Nisha leaned back and loosened it right into the enemy. Another flew right away and burrowed into the fur. Screaming out in glee, Nisha looked to see what Mikoto was doing, wondering if she should get off the horse, but having enough fun riding it that she would rather stay on. Her tails flicking back and forth in excitement and wanting to do even more, but Mikoto had to turn the horse before she could really do anything else.

Akira was just slightly outside of a small town when she noticed that it had started snowing. It surprised her a little. She hadn’t expected it to snow inside the game even if it was around what would be christmas time in the real world. Akira started giggling when she felt the snow hit her nose. It was so cold. The snow had started to fall pretty hard and soon covered the ground.



Akira looked out over the ground and saw the completely covered ground. It was beautiful. It made her feel especially pure. The white snow symbolized purity for her and that was something she had never known in real life. Hopefully she would come to know it. Akira’s eyebrows furrowed at that thought. If she was ever supposed to know purity or even simple happiness that wasn’t an act she would probably need to know what kind traditions the landers had in Elder Tale if she was to live in the game forever or however long she ended up being stuck in the game. Akira didn’t really mind at all though.



She started walking back into the small town with this thought in mind. Akira would ask the villagers that were still outside in the snowy evening. Most of them would probably be inside their homes next to the fire with some hot chocolate or tea and enjoying the toastyness of their homes instead of being outside in the cold snowy outside of the village.



After about 10 minutes of walking through the snow and seeing a lot of her cold breath in air an extremely snow covered and cold Akira arrived inside the small village. She rubbed her hands together as she walked along the snowy main road of the village trying to find a village. Akira was turning her head back and forth trying to find someone to ask when, not paying much attention to where she was walking, ended up bumping into a random village. Akira stumbled a few steps back and started apologizing profusely. “ I’m so sorry! I wasn’t paying much attention to where I was going. Are you okay?” Akira looked up at the villager who she happened to bump into and discovered him to be a man in his upper fifties. Why was he out it in the cold when he was so old? Wouldn’t he rather be inside with his wife and possible grandchildren?



Her thoughts were interrupted by the man’s words. “ No no it’s okay dear. “ Akira smiled in response to the man before responding,” Thanks. By the way mister do the people of the land have any traditions or stories about christmas time and winter in general?” After Akira responded the old man made a thoughtful look on his face. He looked to be deep in thought and it went on like that for several minutes before he looked at Akira again. “ Well there’s this one legend about a giant white wolf named Fenrir. It’s said that he’ll come eat you up if he finds out you killed any wolves or have been a naughty person within the past month of december. He generally appears in the Avon Valley every year. They also say that anyone who encounters him there ends up dying.. However anyone who defeats or aids in defeating him gets a wolf mount and their level automatically becomes level 90 due to it being an event type quest. I wouldn’t recommend going there though missy. It’ll only end bad for you…”



After the man finished his sentence he gave Akira a look that suggested she should follow his advice before walking off into wherever he had originally been going before she bumped into him. Akira turned in the direction he started walking and yelled,” THANKS OLD MAN!” With that Akira pulled up her map and smiled. She just had to know where Avon Valley was. There was no way in hell that she wasn’t gonna try to get that wolf mount that came with defeating Fenrir. A quick look at the map showed Akira that Avon Valley was actually quite close to the small village. That meant that Fenrir would only be like a 45 minute run south from her.



Smiling as she closed her map Akira started running at full speed towards Avon Valley and her possibly inevitable demise she quite sure which would end up being her fate when she encountered Fenrir though. Akira’s chances were probably better if there were other players fighting fenrir. Since fenrir seemed to be a myth and a boss level monster a lot of people would probably be there and most everyone working together as a party..hopefully. Akira hadn’t fought any monsters in the game yet let alone fought with other players. She also hadn’t really met any other players yet which kind of put a damper on her because Akira had thought that she’d finally be able to make friends since no one knew her and she was beautiful. Akira quickly shook her head. She shouldn’t be thinking about things like that. She needed to focus on getting to and defeating fenrir. That was her current short term goal and she’d be damned if she didn’t achieve it.



Akira finally stopped when she got to Avon Valley a few minutes after her slightly sad thoughts. She was just a bit farther than fenrir and a lot of players who were fighting him. Akira could use practically use any skill since this impromptu quest made her a level 90. Akira wanted to ambush the monster and mostly jump down from a highish point, like say a tree and attack him like that. She quickly materialized her two katanas to be attached to her hips before pulling up her list of skills and started looking through them to see which would be perfect for the job. Akira looked around real quick and noticed a high tree. She could climb it and combine the fold step skill with either shuffle mill or dart-tack target. Akira made a beeline for the tree and started climbing it. It seemed like once she was high enough and the speed boost that fold step would give her Akira should be able to maybe land a hit on Fenrir. Hopefully.



Once Akira had climbed high enough on the tree to what she assumed to be a good height for what was essentially flinging herself at Fenrir with two very sharp pointy things, also known as objects or red katanas. Akira readied her two katanas in both of her hands before deciding on which skill she’d use with fold step. After she readied her weapons she looked at Fenrir and felt her tail twitch with excitement. Fighting that big wolf with the other players would probably be fun. She smiled wide before deciding what skill she’d use with fold step. Akira decided to go with the shuffle mill school. Akira sank into position on the branch she’d climbed onto and yelled,” Fold Step! Shuffle Mill!”



Akira was launched off quickly and started spinning with her weapons directly at Fenrir. Hopefully this would work or else she’d probably more than likely be screwed. All in all it was fun. Akira wizzed at Fenrir doing her horizontal and outstretched attack.



Her blades barely hit Fenrir before he swatted at her with a giant paw. Akira went flying into the snow some feet away. Hopefully she had done some damage.

Saber brings with him a bunch of OP stuff in the form of reforges. If you don't own some of the reforges described in this calculation, then it's needless detail. Feel free to use some of the other calculations instead to help you understand the math.

First, Saber picked Full Force. This changes up the attack rolls a bit. Because of this, Saber's attack roll of 90 is a High damage attack that deals 2500 damage. Add the DPS roll (52 x 10) to get 3020 damage. Now, because Saber's reforges give him up to +50% extra damage, we multiply this by 1.5 to get 4530 damage. Fenrir's HP is 28240.

The defense roll with reforges works similarly. Take half of 26 to get 13% base damage. Now, Saber has armor that gives him +30% defense, so that means he only takes 70% of the base damage. 13% x 0.7 = 9.1%. Saber has 90.9% HP left.

First, let's do the easier part of this, the attack roll. A 33 is a Light attack that hits for 1000. Because Sayinh will be defending, his damage is halved and he deals 500 damage.

Now for the complicated part. Look at Cover.

Cover: Select another character within the past 3 posts. That character suffers 0 damage while the tank takes the incoming damage for themselves and that character. The third roll when used for defense is reduced by a quarter instead of halved. Cover cannot be stacked.

This is an Auxiliary Action that goes back and retroactively edits peoples' HP. If you plan to use a skill like this, read carefully.

First of all, Sayinh's incoming damage roll is 44. 44/2 = 22% damage. Since he is Covering for Kaos, we take away the 45% that we applied to Kaos earlier. Kaos is now back to 100%. So now we add it together, 22% + 45% = 67%. Now Sayinh gets to defend. He rolls a 35 as a Defense Roll. Normally we would halve this amount but because of Cover's effect, we take away 1/4 of the roll instead. 35% x (3/4) is 26.25%. Damage calculation is 67% - 26.25% = 40.75%. Sayinh's HP is 58.25%.

Let's review the rules for healers in general. When you're healing normally, you don't do damage. Dorian does 0 damage.

Dorian's incoming damage is simple. 34/2 = 17%. His HP tentatively drops to 50%.

Now Dorian uses Healing Pulse:

Healing Pulse: Divide your third roll by 5. All characters regenerate that amount of HP at the end of their post for their next 3 posts.

Dorian's third roll is 52/5 = 10.4 and because of this, all characters will heal 10.4% HP at the end of their next 3 posts. I'm going to modify this skill's ruling to make it easier to calculate - the healing effect will apply over the next 3 posts. This way, you don't have to keep track of the disparities between peoples' next few posts. 

Anyway. Healing Pulse Proc 1/3. Everyone gets 10.4% HP.

Tank attack roll. 41 is a Light attack. Halve damage because of defending. 1000 / 2 = 500.

Mikoto's gimmick here is Provoke:

- Provoke: Draws the attention of the boss. Increases incoming damage dealt to the character by 25% (multiply the second roll by 1.25x); decreases incoming damage to all other characters by 10 points each. When a character uses Provoke, it cancels all other active Provoke effects.

So, first we multiply the damage roll by 1.25. 45 x 1.25 = 56.25.

Tank defense roll time. 56.25/2 = 28.125%.

Defense time. 60/2 = 30%.

Subtract time. 28%-30% = 0%

Healing time. Healing Pulse Proc 2/3. Everyone gets 10.4% HP.

One of the most complicated defense calculations available.

It turns out that now that reforge rules have been added, Icy gets reforge fun (+50% damage, +10% max HP, + 27.5% defense). Yay.

Careful Attack's effect:

Careful Attack: All successful attacks dealt by the character are treated as Light attacks (1000 damage). Subtract 60 from the character's first roll. If the number is positive, that number is subtracted from incoming damage.

Careful Attack makes all successful attack rolls equal to 1000 damage. Add the DPS roll (59 x 10) to get 1590. Multiply by 1.5 to get 2385.

Defense. Start with 67/2 = 33.5.

Reforge. Multiply it by (1-0.275) to get 24.2875.

Provoke reduces the final damage by 10 to get 14.2875.

And now let's apply Careful Attack's defense effect. 84-0 = 24. 

Incoming damage reaches 0. Did I calculate all that for nothing!?

Final Healing Pulse proc. Everyone gets 10.4% HP.

Nisha has +50% damage and +50% defense.

Passive HP regen is a really low reforge compared to how this system works. But let's just say it's 50% defense for everyones' case.

Light attack roll (44) is 1000. 1000 x 1.5 = 1500. Add 50 DPS to get 1550 damage to Fenrir.

Defense roll (74/2) = 37. Apply the reforge effect and halve this number to get 18.5% damage.

Provoke! 18.5 - 10 = 8.5% damage. Provoke is OP, will nerf in the future.
