The loud clank of steel sounded out into the streets of the city as those who were handy with a hammer tempered their masterwork creations. It was a marvelous sight to behold and quite strange to think that she was capable of such a thing one day. When the game was new to her she chose the smithing profession because she wanted to be able to make her own armor and repairs. Now it seemed that it would actually pay off that she had thought ahead on this one. With arms crossed over the chest of her armor, Falfura wandered towards one of the forge buildings to finally get an inside look at how to make the very equipment she wore. Even though this world was now real they were still bound to the level system of the game which meant that if she wanted to have any hope of getting along as an adventurer she would want to level all of the abilities chosen at the beginning fast.
Wandering inside, Falfura was careful not to disturb the work of others as she observed the process of smelting the ore. The fires had to be heated to an incredibly high temperature to melt the metallic ores into the liquid metal state that was required to shape them. Next they were cooled down so that they would harden into the metal ingots that were used in crafting things such as armor and weapons. At this point the smith would then take a hammer to the metal to mold it into whatever shape they needed it to be. Heat was a constant in this process and it could be felt in the air in this building as it was stifling and somewhat hard to breath in here for one who was not quite used to the process of armor creation. Still Falfura stuck it out as she observed the shaping process of a breast plate, something that looked quite complex yet it was not so hard to grasp for her.
It was that she noticed that doors to the building opened a few more times as more and more adventurers filed in. Apparently it was a popular profession, who knew? Considering that it was one of the hardest jobs in the real world she would have never thought metal working would catch on with others. They probably thought the same way this samurai had, that in a world of weapons and magic being able to do it yourself was a very big help.

ondon's forge building was as active as ever today. From morning to night it seemed like this was to be the norm judging by how busy is was for the past few days. Adventurers and Landers alike, all who shared an interest in blacksmithing, came from near and far to centralize in this single building. On the outside it seemed like any old shop: sturdy, well used, and cracking beneath the weight of time. But within those large wooden doors, it was something else. From the looks of it, the building was split into different sections based crafting level. There was one main hallway which stretched down the center of the building, and from that hallway branched various "stalls". Each stall was equipped with everything a practicing blacksmith needed to peruse their trade. Certain stalls had space for only one crafter. Others had space for up to ten. Those were usually reserved for when a skilled adventurer wanted to teach multiple younger newbies in a single class. The stall that Vee was currently sitting in had enough space for up to 3 people, including the Lander forger. "Oh mon dieu. Coll, you can not keep rejecting other adventurers just because they are not girls," Vee mentioned in exasperation as she sat at one of the tables by the forge building's fires. Her french accent lingered off her words more so than usual, as that was what exasperation often times did to her speech. Coll, being a large brute of a man looked over at the petite female and merely grunted in response. At this point another group of adventurers happened to meander down the hall and ventured into the stall to asked for assistance. Each and every one of them were promptly declined in a rather terse way by the blacksmith, who had by now continued on with his work. Vee rolled her eyes and rested her elbow on the table, her chin propped in her palm. At this rate, the man was never going to start his forging lessons purely because he couldn't find another adventurer to fit his darn criteria. In truth, the Enchantress wondered if she would have even fit his criteria in the first place had it not been for her particular subclass. As a courtesan, Vee's character was created as exceptionally beautiful and had certain capabilities that other adventurers did not have, which were mainly skills used to sway the thoughts and actions of any Lander she wanted - within reason of course. At first Clara had elected to create Vee as a courtesan purely as a joke. After all, who didn't want to be able to seduce random NPC with awful, awful pick-up lines? However, the more time she spent in Elder Tale, to more she realized there were legitimate uses for this class. It proved to help solidify her role as support during missions which could involve both combat and political dealings or negotiation requirements.Vee let another sigh escape past her lips before rising from her seat and stepping out into the hallway. If Coll wasn't going to find someone to fill that last apprentice spot, then she'll find one. The courtesan toggled on her passive [Allure] skill just on the off chance she might need to persuade a Lander to direct her towards another young blacksmith in training. As she perused the halls, heads from both Landers and Adventurers alike turned to gaze at her beauty at least once, if not longer. Petite physique, long flowing tresses, and stunning violet eyes, a character like Vee was not one expectedly found in a place like this. A noble's court perhaps, but not London's forge. Her purple gaze scanned the crowds, observing the various HUDs which flicked into existence once her attention was focused on any certain individual. From initial glance it seemed that only higher levels were perusing the wares tonight. She did not see a single level 1 blacksmith anywhere until...Yes, there was one. Vee blinked and briefly observed a tall, pink-haired male who was watching some of the higher level blacksmiths reforge swords. Walking over to the taller male, she paused by his side to see what he was observing before turning to greet him. He did seem new to all of this as well. Her smile was warm and friendly, the kind that usually instigated a conversation."Bonjour, monsieur~ You seem just as new to this as I. You are looking to practice blacksmithing, yes? If so, I know a Lander willing to each us first levels," she mentioned and guided their attention over to Coll's direction with her hand, "But he teaches in pairs. Would you be interested in joining me?"--------------- OOC: I liked it! You did a good job at picking the setting. Also, I apologize for my nonsense ramblings about "beauty". Had to do it to level my subclass ><;; You can skip to the last paragraph to get to the part where Vee interacts with Fal if the whole thing is too long. The process was interesting to say the least, including the part where they rapidly cooled the metal afterwards to increase the durability of the creation. As she thought about all of that for a moment her eyes began to wander and she didn't come back to reality until she noticed something new. Someone was making a bee line right towards as if they were on a mission. This caused her curiosity to pique as she waited for the girl to approach, she would not be disappointed by what was said either it seemed. It was an invitation to try her hand at what she had been watching this whole time, though she was still quite nervous about actually doing it. The chance that she could fail and hurt those around her somehow sat at the fore front of her thoughts. Yet there was no harm in letting go and trying new things even if the prospect of failure meant embarrassment. Nodding her head at the new comer she smirked at her, at least she was to the point with what she wanted rather than dancing around it.
"Your observation would be correct. I came in here to see what it was all about." she said. Looking at the girl she took a moment to size her up, something Falfura often did when meeting new people. Didn't seem like much of a threat as an adventure as she was not that big. She was an enchanter as well, which was odd to see that she had also taken up the art of the Blacksmith. It was also noted that the person was also most likely french due to her greeting, that was new to her since most of the others seemed to be English just like the server it's self. "I am looking to practice Blacksmithing. I just don't know where to begin with it all, it looks like an overwhelming task. Just the heating of the metal alone seems like it has to be incredibly precise." she said. Shrugging after her statement, she pointed to the area that the new adventurer came from. "Is that who you found to do the teaching?" she asked noting that they seemed to be turning away adventurers more than the other smiths. It was either for superficial reasons or it was because he was the best at what he did.
"I've never heard of a blacksmith that teaches in pairs. This could be.. interesting." she replied coolly as she nodded her head. Unfolding her arms now from over her chest, Falfura made a gesture towards the mans forge as she started to head in that direction herself. "I couldn't turn down such an opportunity since you asked so kindly." she replied with a smile. Though now a complete and total stranger was going to have a front row seat to the comedy show of a life time as Falfura attempted to make something out of metals. The processes and applications made sense to Fal from a logical stand point but actually applying what she had seen around here today was most likely going to result in comically terrible creations that were unusable. It was only then, somewhere in her confused jumble of thoughts, that Fal remembered that she had forgotten to even ask this other adventurer their name. Normally Fal was a lot more polite than that, it was just the fact that the task before Fal was more than she thought she could handle.
Stopping for a moment she turned to the enchanter with an apologetic look. "Oh, by the way. I am Falfura, but you may call me whatever you wish or any version of that. I realize I forgot my manners there. Truth be told I am a bit nervous to see how I do at this. I hear you yield the best results without the aid of the crafting menu and I'm not sure I am ready for that." she said politely as she bowed to the enchanter.

ee was no fool. If there was at least one thing she was good at, it was the ability to read body language. A wry grin spread across her lips as a response to Falfura's smirk. Smirks seemed to never be in short supply when it came to those trapped in Elder Tale. Vee was even occasionally guilty of it herself at times whether she liked to admit it or not. She might have not been physically the strongest player around, but she was definitely one of the more perceptive, and this pink-haired man seemed awfully nervous. "Do not worry about it," she replied in relation to her new acquaintance's choice of words and body language, "everyone starts somewhere. We can be beginners together?" The purple haired female said in reassurance reminding the man that she too was completely new to this craft. If they were going to be made fools, they might as well be made fools together. Vee flashed Falfura a friendly smile then turned on her heels and followed him in the direction of the forge's stalls. As Fal spoke, her gaze followed the man's gesture and nodded. "That is Coll. Rude, shallow, but a good beginning level blacksmith from what I heard. He offered to teach me and a friend blacksmithing as a reward for doing a shopping errand for his wife." The two adventurers continued down the hallway and towards Coll's blacksmithing stall before the samurai paused for an introduction. It was a very formal introduction at that. Vee found this new acquaintance strangely polite for someone from an online game. Usually other users in MMORPGs were rude, yelling, spoke only in memes, or made it a point to troll others who were at a lower level than them. But arguably that would have been because a lot of the gaming world now was flooded by prepubescent boys who believed that being "hardcore" meant swearing every chance they got. That, or making "your mom" jokes. Etiquette was something long lost in these modern times, which was why the enchantress found this new kind of formality somewhat…refreshing. He even bowed. "Enchanté*," she responded after a little curtsey of her own, having decided to play along with the formality game, "My name is U.V. but I am also called Vee. Most use the latter."Coll happened to hear Vee's voice and peeked over the door of his stall which for some reason was designed in a western saloon style. That was how they were all designed. "Oi, izzat your friend there?" he called out to her. His dark beady eyes gave Falfura a quick glance over. But before he had a chance say anything further, Vee glided over to the door. She had to shift her weight onto the tip of her toes in order to gain enough height to raise her head above the stall. "This dashing gentleman is my partner. His name is Falfura and," she briefly glanced over at her new acquaintance then back to the blacksmith, "he can make a girl feel like royalty." She meant that last comment as a joke. Well, mostly anyways. It was a rare occurrence to come across someone with such formality. It was either the pink-haired male was used to addressing people by bowing back in reality, or he was certainly doing a good job at roleplaying a samurai. She could already feel the blacksmith's rejection blooming, so she was quick to add in her reasoning. "Think about it, Coll~ If your student is someone like him, you'll attract other girls over, no? Is that not what you want?" At this point the enchantress was simply practicing her persuasion skills. Although her [Allure] skill remained toggled on, she still had to practice using her words to sway a Lander's thoughts. Vee still had a long way to go though. A long way to go.Coll sighed and look at Falfura one more time then opened the door for the two adventurers to enter. Once the two of them did so, he'd gesture over to a wall where a large number of tools hung. Near the giant fireplace were two rods of steel. "Grab a hammer, a pair of tongs, and working gloves," he instructed without so much as an introduction, "we start with the basics. Tell me what you already know and show me how you'd grip your tools."--------------- *Pleasure to meet youOOC: Oh my goodness I am so sorry for the wait. Crazy week/weekend. Unfortunately that was one of the things Falfura was best at, worrying about things. At any given time Fal was over thinking at least four different topics in her mind as could never get a rest from her rampant thoughts. Now that they were in this world there was so much to do, so much to take in, and very few guides on how it all worked. All that was known was that if you died you came back which was the only reassuring part about being here in this world now. Still kind words from a new face seemed to help ease the samurai's mind as she seemed friendly enough. A stranger thing to encounter though Fal supposed it was not the first time she encountered something like this. The assassin known as Kumori had also been rather polite much to his surprise since rogues in any game never had a very good reputation when it came to being decent people. "I think I would like that. Perhaps that way I will not be embarrassed too badly by my lack of skills. In the real world I was more of the brainy type." she said casually. In this world that was the sort of person who survived the longest and Fal knew it so it was not something she had to hide from others here.
"I was beginning to wonder how you managed to get him to train you. Though, if he is trying to attract women to him I feel bad for his poor wife." she said with a sigh. There were always people like that Fal supposed, even in what was considered a fake video game world right now to her. Narrowing her eyes she followed U.V. to the mans forge so that they could begin their training, whatever that might entail. To be honest like stated earlier, Falfura only truly understood the process from the logic stand point which was a lot easier to get than actually applying it. Unlike most people who thought like Fal did she understood the difference between knowing and doing. "I just hope this is not a waste of our time." she said rather bluntly. While it was clear that the man could work metal like any of the other smiths here, Fal did not believe a man like him had the true patience and ability to teach his craft to anyone else. Still it was bad practice to be rude to your sensei when they were taking time out of their day to work with you so Fal held it in as best as she could.
Dashing? Falfura blinked rapidly as she put a hand behind her head and ran her hand through her hair nervously. "I wouldn't go as far as dashing.." she said with a nervous laugh. Still it was amusing how she seemed to be trying to work Coll over. Did she possess the skills of a courtesan then? Or perhaps she simply had her own charm that went far beyond the games programming when it came to dealing with the landers. Even Fal knew that Coll was perhaps one of the most picky crafters in here in terms of who they taught but she was handling him like a pro before he could even get a word in. In only a matter of seconds and without much effort she managed to get the man to break down which Fal then reasonably concluded that there was indeed something more than meets the eye to Vee. Walking over to the equipment around the forge, Falfura suited up for the job with his gloves, apron, and grabbed the right tools.
"Honestly I understand the basic fundamentals of metal working. Heat the steel, shape the steel, and rapid cooling to harden the finished product. Beyond that my precise know how comes to a screeching halt." she said while holding the tools tightly. Honestly her grip was a bit goofy on the tongs which was obvious by the way she held them that she was a total newbie. Falfura even wielded the hammer like she was holding her sword which made for an interesting take on how to use a hammer. Rolling the hammer in her hand, Fal checked the weight and balance of the tool as if she were going to be using the thing in a fight.

f this were an anime world, Vee would have spun around toward Fal and given him an exaggerated peace sign the moment Coll gave in to teaching them. Perhaps there might have even been the word "VICTORY!" spelled out in kanji floating around somewhere behind her like a backdrop. But alas, this was not an anime, so nothing of that sort happened. Instead she gave the blacksmith a grateful nod and followed everyone into the stall. Grabbing the tools off the wall, the enchantress made herself comfortable near one of the three unoccupied anvils and slipped on the gloves. Being a class of the magical persuasion, it had been a long time since she wore anything that protected her hands. Usually the equips for adventurers which involved covering the hands were steel plated gauntlets or other such heavy armors - none of which Vee used due to her class. She knew she'd eventually gain the expertise and strength to wear heavier armor such as chainmail due to this subclass but she also knew that everyone started somewhere. After all, she did feel more comfortable in free-flowing clothing than restrictive ones. It wasn't as if she was going to be tanking any time soon, if an all. Wiggling her fingers to try and adjust the feel of them under the fabric of the gloves, she looked over at Coll who gave her and Fal some basic instructions. "Same thing as Falfura. I understand what you are supposed to do in theory, but have never tried actually doing it myself. Heat the metal, shape it, then cool it," she said while lightly tapping her chin, "But I know there is a lot more to it than what I said."The blacksmith shook his head and walked over to the two adventurers, observing how they gripped the tools and listening to what little they knew about the craft. "That's right boyo. Heat the steel, shape the steel, cool the steel. That will be the anthem for the next however long ya two plan to do this for." It was all what he had expected coming from two people who probably never worked this craft a day in their life. Both the Enchantress' and Samurai's grip were not too far off from correct. The female just happened to be holding the hammer too loosely and the young man looked like he was preparing to stab someone with it. First thing was first. These two were going to learn safety. He started off by instructing them some of the basic do's and don'ts of a forge. Always be wary of your surroundings, keep your apron and protective gloves on at all time, and other points like that. Horribly basic things since everyone had to start from square one. There was no use teaching whelps such a volatile craft if they were going to only hurt themselves trying. After this short introduction he took hold of his own hammer and held it out in front of him, giving the two newbies a clear view of his grip."Besides safety, this is the most important thing of everything you will be learning. You don't do this right, you'll end up hurting yourself." He twisted his wrist back and forth so they would get a good view of his grip from all sides. "If your grip is higher on the handle like this, you lose your power but gain more precise control over what you are doing. If you hold the hammer lower like this," he mentioned while shifting his grip to match his words, "ya gain a lot more power in yer swing but lose accuracy. Great way to break something. Most scrubs do." He'd proceed with showing them the correct range of where to hold the hammer as well explain that their grip should be similar to how they would shake hands. "Pretend yer firmly shaking the hands with the hammer," he'd say. Vee followed Coll's lead and practiced holding the hammer in the various ways he described. She could see how choking the neck higher would allow enough precision for more detailed crafting. More power would be useful if hammering out something like a shield. Once the instructor was satisfied that the two adventurers knew the basics he tossed two pieces of scrap metal at them then motioned towards the anvils."You'll practice basic strikes on these. It's soft enough to bend but will still break if struck too hard, keep that in mind. Strong grip, raise your hammer up, and follow through firmly. The hammer is an extension of your arm, not a random tool to bludgeon things with. Hammer and arm act as one. Strike as if you are going to bring your swing straight through the anvil. I want to see at least 10 good strikes before we move on." --------------- OOC: Word count: 807 Player tags: Falfura[/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul][/ul]

It was good to see that Falfura was not the only one who had knew only the basic theory. In the real world Fal was not so good with things that involved physical labor but here in the world of Elder Tale she figured that it was time for a change. Trying to seem confident in what was happening, a smile spread across the samurai's expression as Coll started to explain exactly what they were going to be doing here. Glancing at Vee a couple of times, Fal started to wonder why someone of her class was interested in blacksmithing. Normally people with heavier armor or weapons went for the skill due to the abilities it granted, though she could see the merits of the heat sink ability. Imagine being a caster who could upgrade their armor by one class type, a chain wearing caster was a whole new level of difficult to deal with. Fal had never seen an Enchanter in action but he assumed that they were a pretty basic support role - something like the bard most likely minus the music. After realizing that she had gotten distracted, Fal shook her head and refocused herself on the task at hand. The two of them were to practice their strokes with a hammer on a piece of metal, shaping it into something usable.
"Then I think we are ready to begin. Unfortunately I don't take away much from lectures, I am better at learning as I go." she said with a short laugh. Watching the black smith for some sort of sign on when to start or what to do she noticed that he was looking at her hand. Glancing down, Fal realized the grip on the hammer was about the same as the one she used for tanking with a nodachi. A pink tint spread across the samurai's cheeks as she quickly tried to back pedal and adjust her grip to the way the black smith started to explain. Already she had made a mistake, this whole black smithing thing seemed to have more to it than the samurai could have imagined. Even the simple things like holding a hammer mattered and the strength that went into swinging it. Precision was the name of the game here, not power, and they both had to be sure they didn't smash their metal block into shrapnel in the process or else they were being wasteful. Once she was comfortable with the new grip on the hammer, Fal waited for the next step which came promptly.
Before them was placed a block of iron, probably something cheap, but they were to practice their strokes on it. Now came the time to either shine or fail and honestly the samurai didn't expect much out of her first few attempts at this. Taking a deep breath she looked over to Vee with a worried grin. "Just be prepared to duck. I am not the most graceful when it comes to physical labor. Better with a sword than I am a tool used for creation." she said with a chuckle. After that Falfura's eyes squinted slightly as she took aim. With a quick but precise swing she struck the iron block, the sound it made was sort of irritating but it was probably something you got used to in the end. So far so good, the iron bar didn't shatter and there was a decent dent in it. Breathing out an audible sigh of relief, Falfura smiled at what she had done. "Whew, no one died yet. This is actually kind of fun." she said as she started to find some sort of rhythm to the whole thing. With each strike the next one seemed to come with a much surer strike, more speed, but there was a visible attempt to keep the same power in each stroke.
While they worked Falfura decided to try and make some small talk with her new partner. "Are you part of a guild, Vee?" the samurai asked as she worked. Falfura thought about joining one but she was unsure which one suited the goals that she had set for herself. Playing solo also had it's benefits but there was a limit to how much one could accomplish by themselves. Then you had those who tried to form a party with no formal name at all, they were just a group of people with the same goals who could go their own way when it was all over. "I started looking for one the other day. Sort of hard to be a tanking class and play solo out there. No support is probably not a good idea with PKers around." she said. Blinking at the work she had done on the iron bar, it seemed to be smashed quite a bit thinner but it was oddly shaped. Each strike seemed to hit in a strange place and sort of deformed the overall shape she was looking for.

iolet eyes observed her new acquaintance as he took hold of the hammer and brought it down on the sheet of metal for the first time. From her novice point of view the swing looked right on point. "Yes, I am still alive. You have not killed me yet," the shorter female joked back and readied herself by gripping the sheet of metal between the tongs in one hand and readying the hammer. It was unlucky for her that she had chosen a character in Elder Tale that was significantly weaker than her own body in reality. It was almost surprising to see how much something like a blacksmith's hammer would weigh in the hands of the enchanter class. But you know what they all say. No pain, no gain. Vee figured that the longer she practiced as a blacksmith, the more she'll also grow in strength from all the strenuous labor. With a calm exhale and focus on concentration, the enchantress lifted the hammer in her right hand higher, then swiftly brought it down on to the sheet of metal. A sharp and loud clang added itself to the already heavy symphony of rings and clangs which filled the air of London's Forgery. Moving the hammer back into the ready position once again, she paused for a moment to observe her handiwork. Vee's strike was controlled and contained, though lacked power. Although the dent on her sheet of metal was not nearly as deep as Falfura's, she was very much satisfied to know that her strike landed exactly where she intended for it to go. At this stage, the female believed that it was probably best for her to practice concise strikes with a hammer rather than power. It would really be no use figuring out how to learn the art of blacksmithing if she accidentally took out her own hand because of a misguided strike. Once again she brought the hammer down onto the sheet of scrap metal with controlled precision. She wasn't perfectly accurate on that attempt, and had her hammer strike an area slightly off from where she was originally aiming. But overall it ended up being in the general area give or take half an inch. By the forth or fifth repetition, a small bead of sweat began to surface upon her temple and crawl down the side of her face.Call it embarrassing, but the petite female was already beginning to feel the oh so familiar dull aching in her right arm from lifting the weight of the hammer so many times. It was now more than ever that Clara mentally cursed at herself for picking such a "weak" character. She could already imagine how much easier this job would have likely been had she chosen a different class such as guardian or a samurai like her new acquaintance. She briefly wondered what to do about the dull aching in her right arm before slowly switching hands, taking the hammer in her left this time and the tongs in her right. "Je pense que ce serait très bien ainsi*..." she muttered to herself while hoping there was not some alternate technique that Col didn't tell the two about when it came to differences between holding a hammer right handed versus left handed. The enchantress was beginning to get into the "rhythm of the swing" as Col would say and almost didn't hear Falfura when he addressed her with an inquiry about guilds."Euh...To be honest, I have not," she answered back. She was somewhat embarrassed to answer so, due to the fact that most people usually flocked to guilds while she on the other hand did not. Mostly it was because she had spent all her time in Elder Tale so far either running into new people due to silly coincidences, or spending her time exploring the lands. Falfura did bring up a very valid point about PK'ers however. "I have always found solo'ing very lonely. Even more so because I cannot engage in combat on my own without a tank because I am an Enchanter. But I have been lucky enough to meet people nice enough to party-up with me if I need help." The Enchantress gave the Samurai an almost sheepish smile. "I never thought about guilds yet because of that," she admitted. With her new arm she raised the hammer and slammed it down once more onto the metal between the tongs. "How about you? Have you found any guilds you like?"--------------- *I think it will be okayOOC: It's all good xD. I'm pruning out my RP threads right now so I can narrow down my more active ones. The fact that she shared Falfura's lame sense of humor was a relief to the samurai. Most of the time Fal assumed that her brand of humor got on others nerves, it was often full of puns. Still the fact that she tried to put a humorous spin on things in this world showed that she wasn't willing to let it get to her. Taking a moment to wipe sweat from her brow, Falfura used a pair of tongs to turn the piece of metal over and examine all of the damage inflicted to the metal. So far it looked like it would be okay, there was no damage that couldn't simply be shaped out of the finished product. The metal they were using wasn't of super high quality either for this practice run with all things considered they were probably both doing okay for what they had accomplished so far. "Good. With my luck I'd lose the hammer head mid swing and destroy someone behind me." the samurai replied with a nervous laugh. When it came to things like this she was the most clumsy person you could ever meet, physical labor just wasn't her sort of thing back in the real world.
At this point there was nothing they could do without stoking the furnace and heating the metal now. They had only managed to dent some of the metal, now they needed to heat it and shape it so that it would maintain it's final form. Stretching her arms over her head and trying to relieve the tension in her muscles, Falfura pointed to the tools used to heat the furnace. "I assume that once we finish with the practice strokes we'll need to heat the furnace, Col-sama?" she asked before setting her hammer down on the anvil next to the piece of metal they had been chipping away at. Taking a moment to examine the work that was done it seemed that most of Fal's strikes were rather close together. Furrowing her brow in annoyance, she knew that she could have done better with a weapon less crude than a hammer. To her they were all weapons, she didn't think of the hammer simply as a tool in this scenario and that was probably the reason she could have done a lot better. Taking a moment to glance over at Vee's work, she could see that they were having similar problems with the hammer strikes. Neither of them seemed to be used to the work involved in blacksmithing.
"I kind of assumed that you hadn't. A lot of people seem to be solo right now which is sort of odd. On the Japanese servers guilds were the way to go if you wanted to progress your character and gear as quickly as possible. Here it seems that you can get by alright as a solo player for the most part." she said nodding her head afterwards. It was a big change for Fal, not being in a guild, but that was going to change fairly quickly she imagined. The samurai had already applied to a guild when she first hit level seven but the results of that were still up in the air as she imagined they were busy with other more pressing matters. Nodding her head, she chuckled at Vee's comment about not being able to engage solo. "Ah, yeah. That is why I have never found that I have much of an interest in the Enchanter class. I prefer to be on the front lines, in control of the mobs. Though I guess we have the fact that we prefer team roles in common here. I'd rather not be a solo tank for much longer." she said with a sigh. It wasn't very interesting to play a tank when you were protecting absolutely nothing most of the time.
"If you would like you can add me to your friends list as well. If you need someone to tank an encounter I am always up to the challenge." Fal said with a thumbs up. She had almost forgotten what they were doing here until the noise of air being pumped into the forge snapped her back to reality. Turning her attention back to the forge, Falfura stared intently at what was happening so that she did not miss a single step of it.
