doesn't it feel like we're falling ❝ There was much excitement surrounding this event around the city of Londinium. His group in paticular had been planning this expedition for a few days only to find out that they were too late for the first half. Even with the news being grim, Balore was pleased to learn that there was a second half, and a support team was needed to assist the main raiders. Even if it was only a supporting role the knight took pride in the fact that he was able to assist someone in accomplishing their goals. Each step towards the entrance to the underground filled the man with glee. When he arrived he could see that he was the first one here. No surprise considering that he got up extra early for this to prepare his weapons and armor. Their task would be challenging for sure! Well, at least he hoped so or else he would be bored to tears during the event. They were suppose to meet someone here as well, a half alv woman by the name of Yvonne. He didn't see her anywhere at the moment but he assumed that she couldn't be too far off. As he waited the guardian drew out his sword once more and stared down the length of the blade. For several moments he stared intently, checking the position of the blade and the sharpness. Once he was pleased with his weapon he gave a few swings before returning it to it's resting place. There was pure electricity going through his veins it felt like, he was so excited he couldn't stand still at all. His eyes shifted to all of the people who were walking about near the station entrance. Did they come to cheer the other adventurers on or were they also coming down? Balore slipped deep into thought about what they might face down below. An army of kobolds, perhaps, or maybe even something more sinister? The ideas kept flowing in and none of them seemed to deter the man as he seemed to be psyching himself up with each idea. ' Maybe we'll even find some treasure down there or something.' he thought to himself. He hoped whatever they fought had some sort of cache, that way he could aquire some stuff for the guild he was trying to assemble as well. He had already picked out the name, he just needed everyone to assemble at the guild hall. Today he intended to tell them all about it at some point. ' I hope the other teams are just as excited about this as we are.' he thought to himself as he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back against the wall. They had a long walk ahead of them to the pits, which was where he decided they would begin. There was two potentials spots they could hit but only one of them seemed like it would spell disaster if they didn't hit it first and quickly. She awoke to the sounds of people chattering and moving quickly about the Inn in rooms adjacent to hers. It had been like this for a few days, the news that the source of the underground commotion had been found. Strangely enough, Tessia burst out laughing when she found out what it was. A bloody train. Of all things it was a automated train. She had always liked them though, growing up in Germany there were a few so she had the general idea of it. Though this one was sure to be much bigger and nastier. So, lured by the prospect of hunting it, she wasn't surprised when she found out it was well above her level.
It was then she had found a slip for a sign up group to help distract some neighboring Kobolds from the main party and cause a ruckus. Accepting that she could at least do something too help out, she had spent the last few days with the group, planning approaches and other strategy. Though she didn't really have the time she wanted too to talk to her allies, she would certainly get that today. Taking up her large battle ax and armor she headed out to the underground entrance were she found quite a few people congregating. This is dangerous already she thought, there should not be so many near such a problem just too watch.
Slipping into cover for a moment, Tessia crouched and sighed heavily calming her nerves. Her heart thumped and she was shaking slightly. Never did she do well when others could end up hurt as well. She had her own group to worry about, and whoever else got in the way would not be her issue she decided. Still. She stepped back out and walked over towards the designated meet up spot. Spotting Balore, and noticing him from before from the meetings, she waved nonchalantly and moved up too him. Plopping on the ground and resting her ax atop her shoulder she smiled as she removed her face mask to greet him.
"Hey Balore, I'm here at least like I said. Though, I am a bit troubled by the large crowds. Don't they know a dangerous situation when they see one?" She sighed and hefted her blackened battle ax a little off her shoulder and into her lap. She had to get her own axe made soon the way she remembered it. But, for now her own bought weapon would do. No sense in worrying over it now, she had had time to get that changed but didn't. "So, are the others on their way here as well? I hope we can manage with a small group and cause enough problems for the Kobolds as well without any deaths." allowing her worrying to show again she listened for Balores response, leaning against a large rock and getting a slight bit of relaxation before the weary ordeal ahead of them.

Kitty felt herself sigh as she stretched out her arms and let out a soft yawn. It wasn't even that she was tired, she had been relaxing all morning in the sun, as per the usual, she found. The heat made her body feel warm and she wished she could spend the rest of her day sitting in the fields and relaxing, but, she knew she couldn't. Her duty as a healer was to always have her eye out for her team mates, and today, the team would be taking on a large task, one they had never done before. It was an event! But not an event like any other, no. Today, they would be helping the other teams to fully clear out Londinium's underground station and hopefully open it up for other adventurer's to us. She wondered if this great feat would open another part of the map too, since it was, indeed, a train station. She had many hopes for the day though and she stood, knowing that it was almost time for her to meet with with everyone on the team.
She arrived at the entrance of the Londinium Underground Station and looked around with wide eyes. There was so many people there, but why? Had they come to see the adventurer's off? Could they be just as excited as she was for the end of this event to see what would happen? She didn't know their motives, but she was sure of her own. She let her eyes dart around the crowd, looking for her teammates, but couldn't seem to spot them. As she neared the entrance, however, she felt her cheeks darken and she walked up to Balore, and the girl that had joined them, Tessia. She lifted her hand up, waving at the two and looked around. "Lavinia should be here soon, she was never one for being late." She smiled widely as she took up a spot on the wall next to Balore. She looked up to him, smiling lightly and said, "are you ready for our first adventure together?" She paused and then widened her eyes and looked at Tessia. "Uhm, as a group, I mean." She mentally shook her head at herself and continued. "I know that we had a brief discussion of strategy in the meetings, but, once we're in, we should have a re-briefing, just to re-run the plan and make sure everyone is aware of it."
She let out a soft sigh and found her head lifting once she had spoken, her eyes watching the sky above. It was almost time. She felt nerves cradle her stomach and her hope for a grand adventure slivering up her spine. Then, her head popped back to reality and she looked around again. "Wait, isn't there another girl going to be joining us?" She looked up at Balore, feeling a pang of jealousy enter her heart, but she quickly let the feeling pass, as it was no time for that. Though it did make her a little uneasy thinking about him being surrounded by women. Again, she gave her head a mental shake. 'Not. The. Time, Ame!' Instead she changed the subject completely. "I should have made something to eat for everyone, but I haven't had the time, I'm sorry." She lowered her head, as she thought that they would need the energy, but, what they had was going to have to be enough, because once they were down there, there was no coming back up until everything was finished and all was said and done. Perhaps then, she could treat them.

Post by Lavinia on Sept 19, 2014 0:38:03 GMT
Lavinia woke up early today, she had much to prepare before she met the group at the Underground station. She checked what little supplies she managed to gather in the short time she had to get or make them, made sure she had her books in her inventory and headed off. She hoped she was prepared enough for the adventure she was about to partake in. This would be her first world event in this world. Where all the adventures from Londinium would come to kill, map or do whatever task that needed to be done for experience, gold and other such shinys. Lavina was in a group with Balore, Lifthrasir, Kitty, Tessia and another girl she never met before, all she had was a name, Yvonne. She had no problem with the group, mostly. Tess seemed competent from the meeting they all had previous to this meet up and Lavinia already knew the others but this new girl was a mystery. As Lavinia headed down underground she found it to be rather crowded. As she pushed through the crowd to their meeting position she wondered what everyone was here for. Maybe they were here to participate or maybe see them off, only one way to find out. "Excuse me.... excuse me... excuse me..." she says as she gently pushes her way through the crowd for what seems like ages. She finally found them after pushing past another pack of people. She saw Balore, Kitty and Tess already here. She walked towards the group waving her hand as she hears Kitty mention she didn't have time to make them something to eat while they were down here. This was fine by Lavinia, she had the salads Kitty made for her the other day still. But not one to pass up on a moment to tease her friends she decided to comment on it. "What?!" she exclaims to Kitty in a obviously fake manner. "I'll wither away to nothing by the time we're done here!" she says with fake concern. Next she sucked her stomach in so it looked like she was already losing weight. "See!" she says with a frowned concerned face that she couldn't maintain for more than a second before she laughed and smiled at everyone. "Whats up everyone?" she says as she took up a spot next to Kitty leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. Word Count: 401 Tagged: Balore, kittygrey, Tessia, @lifthrasir

doesn't it feel like we're falling ❝ Eventually all of the pieces for the event would start to fall in place. They arrived in a staggered fashion, one after another every few minutes. He was honestly glad that they all showed, not that he doubted they would. It took some gettining used to, having so many new friends, and having people look to you to make judgement calls. Right now he had to put his walls up, shield himself from the anxiety of "leading" a small strike team into the underground to keep the other teams from being neck deep in Kobolds. " Hey." he replied cooly, crossing his arms over his chest. He still found it odd, some of the peoples choices of weapons despite their class, but usually shrugged it off. " I'm sure they know it's dangerous but everyone has their friends. Maybe they're here to offer morale support." he suggested with a quick smirk before his face went back to a more serious look. He was trying to pre-plan all of this in his head but without much to go on it might all be for naught. He was brought back to reality by the assassin and her question; he wasn't sure of the answer. " They will be here soon I imagine. Honestly I think we're up to the challenge though. The group I run with is good at what they do, despite as all being lower level. Plus we have a pretty amazing healer." he said with a thumbs up gesture. Part of making this plan successful was easing everyone elses nerves even if his own were shot. Thus he assumed the role of goof to make sure no one else felt the potential anxiety of the situation. This was technically his first anything, raid, dungeon- whatever you wanted to call this. Then Kitty arrived and seemed eager for their first excursion into dangerous territory. If it wasn't for her and Lav he wouldn't be doing this right now most likely. Greeting her with a wide grin, he waved at her before nodding in reply. " More than ready. Wasting time with the boars and slimes now. Might as well change things up." he said with a laugh. His entire mood had changed in an instant the moment she arrived- strange how some people had that effect on you. " I agree. Doubt we can go over this enough considering the staggering amount of unknowns." he said. " Not sure. I haven't heard anything from her at all. I think we're going just the four of us unless we can find a replacement in the crowd." he said with a shrug. As he replied he watched Lav make her way over to them and immediately starting poking fun at Kitty from what he gathered. " There should be two more people coming, I thought." he said. She was staring. She knew she was but it didn't stop her. The two other people joining the group effort were girls, a summoner and a healer type it seemed. Tessia had to replace her face mask fast to hide her darkened cheeks. If its one thing that could provide ample distraction, even if faced with a horde of enemies, it was a pretty face.
Having listened to their banter she calmed a bit, glad that they seemed to know a little about what they were getting into. Hefting her large weapon aside, she stood and stretched a bit more and looked around at the still growing mass of people. Then, turning back she gave a polite bow to the others and said,"well, I am Tessia. Although myself and the knight here will be doing the major damage, if you have any followers they should stay by your side. Kobolds will swarm casters, and if either of us can't react in time well it's a trip too the Cathedral."
She really, REALLY wanted to not sound so dire and focused on the mission. She wanted to ask them their favorite foods or pastimes. Sighing a little quietly Tessia resumed leaning on the wall to hear the replies of her group, she had the defense of the casters in mind more than her own really. As her speed would let her stay ahead of danger and hopefully in the way of it if needed.

Ame felt her face flush with the grin Balore flashed her. She smiled and continued to wave before she had found her spot. She looked up at him and nodded in agreement with his words, thinking that it was a good test for them as a group, especially because they were planning to begin a guild together. She nodded again in agreement, and as she spoke, she heard Lavinia come over to them and she let out a soft giggle and patted her head. "You didn't eat all that salad already did you?!" She jokingly began snorting like a piggy and then laughed, looking over to Tessia as she introduced herself. "Hey Tessia, I'm KittyGrey, but just call me Kitty please, this is Lavinia," She pointed over to her left, and then switched hands and pointed to her right. "And this is Balore." She smiled to her, finally looking at her. She had a face mask on and a large weapon, which made the fox tail immediately think that she was cool. She then nodded to her and continued with a smile. "Well, you two better look out for us then!" She felt her hand reach over and pat Balore on the chest, but she immediately retracted and brought her hand behind her, pressing it between her bottom and the wall. She shifted her glance up to him and then back to Tessia.
"You guys will be doing most of the hard hitting, but even though I'm a healer, I can deal some damage to the Kobolds as well. I want to focus my mana mainly on healing the team, but if it comes down to it and they manage to get past the two of you and the golem, I do have a few tricks up my sleeve. If we work together, no one will be taking a trip to the cathedral today. Also, I feel I should mention this but, Lavinia, did you end up making any of those potions? The night eye ones or what ever they are called? I won't need one, and I don't know what Balore's eyes are like in the dark, but you and Tessia I don't know about." She would look from Lavinia, to Tessia and then she wondered how dark it would really be down in the tunnels. When she had went before, it had been dark as night in most parts, but with her night vision, she could see clear as day. She looked up to Balore, and then once again around the group. "It was pretty dark in there the last time but maybe it's brighter since they've managed to open it a bit, but I still don't know." That would be the first time that either of her two friends would have heard about her going into the tunnels, she wondered if they would be mad? Tessia, on the other hand, didn't know her too well yet, so she knew that she couldn't really be mad with her, but even still. "Sorry.. I should have told you.."
As Balore spoke about two others coming, Ame shook her head. "Uhm, actually, the Rin girl, the scribe we met, she won't be joining us. I got a message from her early this morning saying that she wasn't able to come. She didn't give me a reason, and she wouldn't respond back to my messages so I'm not sure why, but she made it quite clear that she wouldn't be joining. The other girl, I have no clue about. Whether she will come or not is a mystery to me, but if she's coming, I hope she comes soon, I'm to anxious to wait." She stepped away from the wall and walked to the entrance they would take. She stood there and would stare into it, her ears perked up high and her tail gliding fiercely from side to side, anticipation was taking her over and she wanted badly to begin their excursion. "Would it be wrong of us to go ahead, you think?" She looked over to the group with a tilt of her head, wondering what they were all thinking.

Lavinia smiled as at least Kitty enjoyed her comment. "No, I didn't eat them all, yet." she says laughing. Lavinia was hoping to save the meals for a night when she wanted something better than Inn food. One great thing about this new world, food doesn't seem to spoil, so she could hold onto them for a long time. Lavinia nodded to Tess as Kitty introduced her for her, which was fine she was never much for idle group conversation. As the others spoke Lavinia listened carefully, taking in every important detail, she would wait for the right opportunity to interject if necessary to add the information she gathered to the list. Tess' concern was correct, Kobolds were nothing to mess with lightly at the level range of the group. Kitty's reply to Tess' concern made Lavinia smile, she then took on a more seroius face before she began to speak. Her tone was almost like someone giving a briefing, clear and concise as she spoke. "Tess is correct, if we aren't careful the Kobolds could easily surround us. The weaker versions wont be much of a threat, unless they come in groups and swarm us. They have no real elemental weaknesses or resistances and have no real dangerous abilities." taking a breath Lavinia shifted her weight onto her other foot before she continued. "However, they aren't aggressive and will attack if they feel threatened. Their bodies range in different colored scales, which indicate their rank and strength, however I could not find any information on what each color means. But these are just the basic Kobold and aren't the only threat down here." she said taking another breath after. Lavinia was glad she was a scholar, she loved knowing everything and anything about the things that interest her. Whether its making potions, what kind of food her friends liked or the attack strategy and information on a boss they are about to fight, Lavinia was a know it all in and out of this world. She was a natural at learning and could do it quickly, however she did not become this way over night. Lots of reading and studying went into the pool of useful or useless knowledge she has accumulated over the years. "We also have what is refereed to as the Kobold Nobles. These will attack on sight, and can call for back up if they are in trouble. We don't want that..." she takes another breath shifting her weight back onto her previous foot. "The nobles really aren't much different than the regulars. There are also fewer of them and are stronger than your regular Kobold. Lets see..." she says giving herself a moment to run over the list of what is down in these underground tunnels. "Oh! And both of them can see in the dark. Then we also have some other types of enemies like Goblins, Ratmen, Bats and various insects like spiders and centipedes. All are very dangerous of course." she said more or less finishing what information was vitial for the group to know. She would wait for anyone to ask questions before she would move on. Next on Lavinia's list was addressing Kitty's comment about her golem and the potions. "I'm not restricted to just using my golem anymore. I've gained access to two more summons since the last time we fought together. I now have access to a Harpy and a Fairy. The fairy can heal and remove debuffs and the Harpy can attack and stun enemies." she says looking at Kitty. She assumed that she would probably have to switch between her summons as the situation calls for it, but that would put strain on her mana pool and so would having two out at a time. Lavinia did some rough math in her head before she spoke again, she wanted to make sure she was giving correct information to the group. She turned her gaze back to the group as a whole, since she would like their input on this next part. "I can switch summons on the fly of course, but that would drain my MP quickly or I could use two at a time, but that would also drain my MP quickly. I can keep a single summon out for roughly three minutes, half that for two and so on." she says taking a breath. "I'm thinking..." she says pausing for another short moment to think "That I will use my harpy for the extra damage. Since the big guy over there is a pretty good tank and Kitty is a great healer I don't think we'll need my golem or the fairy. At least, if everything goes as expected." she says finishing what she wanted to say. It really was amazing, Lavinia was just a newbie not so long ago and now she is a competent adventurer like her friends. Word Count: 815 Tagged: Balore, Tessia, kittygrey

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I'VE BECOME INDESTRUCTIBLE Although he could not feel it, the gesture was nice. It seemed that since their time at the beach some of the awkward tension had faded; if only a little. There was a smile as she drew her hand back from the chest plate of his armor, but there was little time to be sentimental now. Now was the time for action, the moment they had been waiting for since the day they agreed to join up with him. Fighting low level monsters and messing around with crafting was not enough to sate the bloodlust within him. Despite his kind demeanor he loved a good fight and craved to do battle with an enemy that could match him blow for blow. Now all he had to do was rein himself in or else he might lose control down there and get someone killed.
"I'll be sure to protect them with Anchor Howl should anything slip by me." he added to Tessia's concerns. Of course the idea of keeping a minion close by was a decent one but on the other hand doing so sacrificed some of their groups damage. Until it was a problem he was going to have to advise against it as they had no idea what sort of firepower they needed to get through this. "For now we'll make use of all of the damage we can muster. These will be no ordinary Kobolds, I have a bad feeling about that." he said with a grim look on his face. Normally he was smiling, now his expression was rather blank. Inside he was a whirlwind of excitement however as he played the sound of clashing steel in his head.
Much to his own surprise, Ame let it slip that she had gone down into the tunnels before. While he would have been upset normally by not being invited, he decided that it was probably not worth expressing such a feeling. Things happened and for all he knew this was during his little adventure out in the greatwoods. Remembering such a thing also put a damper on his mood as he considered it a possibility down here as well. "No need for apologies. The advantage is ours then by you already knowing what to expect." he said crossing his arms over his chest. They were down two so far with knowledge that one was not coming for sure. This adventure was already off to quite a grand beginning in his mind.
"So our enemy has low light vision and the home field advantage. We'll have to be extra careful then. Tessia, am I correct in assuming you have a tracker subclass? It's usually the more popular choice." he said, raising a brow. "If so I want you to act as forward scout, unfortunately, as you can move without being detected and give us the layout." he said before pausing to consider the other tactical advantages his group might hold. It was also brought to his attention that Lav might have a potion for them to use which could even the playing field in low light conditions. "Excellent idea with the potions. I'm glad you thought to bring them. By now I imagine that we've established some form of lighting at this point." he said being hopeful that someone set up torches.
That was all he could come up with for now, the rest he would have to change on the fly. For now he was satisfied in knowing that they had some sort of forward scout for vision. "It's not a sound proof plan but it's the best we have for now." he said admitting the flaws in his ideas. He was confident but not arrogant enough to believe that they would not make a plethora of mistakes as they navigated the tunnels. Moving towards the entrance, Balore followed Ame and waited for the others to do the same. Giving a sweeping gesture with his right arm he smirked finally. "After you, Tessia. Let's do this as quietly as possible." he said. After which he would wait for Tessia to descend into the tunnel before promptly following along behind her.
He took extra precautions to put himself inbetween the potential threat and the two casters behind him. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Yvonne stepped out of the shadows from the tunnel before the party. Her long hair swayed slightly as she came to a stop. Some light perspiration dotted her forehead as she waited a moment before speaking. "I have already looked ahead. A patrol is moving in soon. I can see them heading this way" She pointed back towards the way that she came. She did not volunteer how she was able to still see the patrol coming despite being with her new party. Some things are best shrouded in darkness. She smirked to herself. She truly didn't mind either way if the party encountered the patrol. However she wouldn't have the opportunity to play with the kobolds if they didn't. That was regrettable. She oh so loved causing pain to her enemies. She awaited the decision of her party before moving. They would need to move quickly to evade the patrol or ambush it.

Taking in what the two girls decided to do, Tessia thought it wise indeed to have a item that gave dark vision. It was so much easier than trying to navigate shadows when your enemy didn't need to watch them. Hearing of Balore's plan to go for damage instead of defense, she nodded and shouldered her large ax, it suited her just fine to hack off some limbs and maybe even a few heads. "I am a tracker yes, though more for nostalgia of my homeland than for anything else. We were hunters." She sighed and leaned against the rock she stood next too, knowing were Balore was going with this already she wasn't surprised.
"I will do the recon then, as I do have Eagle Track for the important targets. I have distance and melee range weapons and equally deadly with both. Though I do agree, me on the other side of any groups would be ideal, as I am most damaging with Fatal Ambush." Hearing someone approach, Tesisa tensed but noticed her as she emerged from the tunnel they were meant to go down. This must be the guide she had been told of, a real beauty too but already Tessia felt that familiar prickle at the back of her neck. A advance patrol was approaching, and she would have to intercept them as far away from the main area as possible. Perfect.
"Chances are the group carries with it horns or other types of alerting equipment. Should we find any I will do my best to keep one. Just so we might be able to lure more towards us, and away from any advantage they might have of terrain or traps." Nodding to Balore, and slipping her ax into it's simple leather strap holder, Tessia slipped down into the dark tunnel were the guide had come from. With a last look back at her new comrades, Tessia said "Going silent. Be safe, everyone. Best of luck too you." With a thumbs up, she darted lightly into the caverns, immediately taking cover behind some rocks and feeling Silent Move take over.
Staying low and too the shadows of the large boulders, she crept along slowly and silently. Hearing the distant drip of water somewhere in the caverns, the occasional shift of dirt and maybe a scrape of metal here and there. After a few moments, she halted all movement as she heard the stirrings of the group just ahead, a few snarls and garbled Kobold talk as they milled about. Listening for the closest, she began the slow process of darting from rock cover to cover. Being sure to count the bodies each time she had just a moment of visibility, and their backs were turned. After a fourth dart past the furthest Kobold from the group, she unsheathed her ax silently and relaxed. And waited. "Five. One Noble, four peons. Preparing to strike." she sent, awaiting orders and staying low.

Ame nodded her head, she understood that it would be best for them to make sure they were covered, but the team didn't know all of her skills yet, she had a few tricks up her sleeve. She knew that she wasn't the damage dealer in the group, and that she would have to be weary, she had just been saying that she could handle them, if, and only if it came down to it. She felt comfortable that it wouldn't happen, as she knew that Balore was strong and could handle taking them down, and he did have his taunting ability so that if they managed to sneak through, he could redraw their aggro, but even still, she almost wanted one of the kobolds to be on it's own, so that she could show them that she had acquired the Animal Training class, even still, she would probably call on Mamori sooner, rather than later to help her with the healing process, and also provide some damage if need be. She listened hard to Lavinia's explanation of the kobolds and some of the other types of creatures they would face. She had no doubt in her mind that this was a dangerous mission, but she also knew how well their team worked together, they would all come out of this, perhaps not unscathed, but not dead, that was for sure.
Ame felt her eyes widen with Lavinia's next words, and she let out a gasp. "I can't wait to see them!" Then she let out a soft whistle that she figured would confuse the others, until Mamori began to run to them. "Please don't harm her, she is not an enemy. Guys, meet Mamori, my very sweet Myobu Kitsune. I uh, picked up the animal taming subclass and she's my second creature, the first won't be joining us however, you'll meet him eventually though." Mamori bowed her head low. She was a golden fox, with white tips, pretty much like Ame had, and she had three tails that showed all of the time. When the battle began, Ame would match her in tails, but she preferred to keep them hidden until then. She didn't think the others had seen her own tails yet, but they would catch a glimpse of them, she was sure. "I think it would be best to have the harpy as your summon as well, as myself and Mamori will focus on healing. Best not to use too much mana when we don't have too, but just in case, I still have the mana potions that you made me!" She smiled widely to her and tiled her head as she did.
Ame found her eyes looking up at Balore and she smiled with a nod and a quiet giggle. She was happy that he wasn't angry with her, because it had been in a moment's notice that she had been invited, and they had only needed a healer to complete the expedition. Even still, she had wanted them to go with her, as they were a team, but, things happened. She listened as he spoke to Tessia about being a tracker, making the plan that she would move ahead before them to scout out the area, but when the last woman arrived, coming out of the tunnel, she felt her head tilt. How could she possibly know? How long had she been in there? Ame felt that something was suspicious about the girl as she grinned but she let it go, some people were just odd. She wouldn't admit it, but the girl almost reminded her of a battle before this one, where she had faced another adventurer. Already, she was becoming afraid, thinking of that time and she knew that she would need to keep her eye on the girl. Whether she was correct or not was a different story, but her friends were here and she wasn't willing to take chances. She stared at the girl for a moment, before deciding to speak. "What is your main class, Yvonne, is it?" She hoped she had said it right as sometimes she had a hard time with names like that. Though she couldn't tell, she had the proper pronunciation for the name which she had learned at the meeting before this, but she hadn't had the chance to speak with her outright. Why did she feel so uneasy around her? Was it because she could sense the same aura of blood lust that had followed the other?
She looked to Tessia again as she spoke and smiled to her. "Good luck and be careful, we'll follow you in once we have an outline of the first group." She mimicked her thumbs up with a large smile and watched as she entered the tunnel. She took a deep breath in and activated [Tongue of Nature]. "Mamori, you and me will be in charge of healing in this battle, so stay close to me, alright?" She watched Mamori look up at her and then she spoke. "I will stay by your side, sister and help you heal the others. But also know, that I will let no harm come to you. As my name states, I am the protector, your protector." Ame smiled and bent down, ruffling her ears and kissing the top of her head. She pulled out one of the hamburgers she had made for Balore and ripped a piece off, handing it out to her and watching as she took it. "Thank you, sweet Ame. I will do my best for you." She smiled, "And I, for you." She would keep her ability active, but she had learned to switch between them quickly, so that she could speak to the others as well. As Tessia voiced the amount of kobolds in the first group, she stepped up to Balore and placed her hand on his for a moment with a flush. "You lead the way." Then she stepped back to stand between Mamori and Lavinia, nerves trying to take her over. She was ready.

| Let's not, make some noise.
Kitty mentioning the night vision potions reminded Lavinia that she made them to begin with. "Oh right! I did, but I only made six so we should use them sparingly." she says as she hands one to Tess and tosses the other to Balore. She really hoped six potions would be enough, the duration on them is moderate but who knows how long they'd be down here. Listening quietly to the group after she gave out what information she knew, Lavinia was glad she got grouped up with her friends for this event. She would feel comfortable with them, which would allow her to be at her best. "Those mana potions are rather weak in comparison to your current MP levels. I'll have to make better ones for you." she says to Kitty, giving her a shrug. Lavinia at first was concerned about this strange creature running towards the group after Kitty had summoned, but it didn't come up as hostile on her interface so the concern disappeared quickly. As she explained what this fox creature was all Lavinia could think, and she thought it out loud was "I want one...". Kitty had switched her subclass to animal tamer, which is where the fox Mamori came from. The choice of picking Animal Tamer was kind of strange for a healer until Kitty mentioned it would help heal, then she really wanted one even more. Lavinia had started to develop a gotta catch em all attitude towards her summons, like the phrase from a certain video game from the real world. Whether she would actually persue this is still up in the air though.
Much to Lavinia's surprise Yvonne stepped from the shadows indicating a patrol was coming, she didn't know this other member of their group. She seemed kinda quiet and a straight to business type person. As usual she would let the other do the talking, unless she really had something to say to Yvonne. "Guess its time I show my new equipment." she says softly as she swiftly navigates through her inventory, finds her new items and equips them. The cloak on her back disappears as her new outfit is equipped, it wasn't a part of the default outfit anymore. A black ribbon fits snugly around her left wrist, a silver ring on her right hand and a small chain necklace around her neck. Lavina wanted to surprise the group with her new equipment and the increase in her health and mana levels was actually surprising. She held out her left hand and a black metal staff appeared in her hands. The stat increase from her new equipment made her smile, but she wouldn't say anything about it to the group. It was time to get to work.
Lavinia could feel the anticipation building as Tess went ahead to scout out the patrol. One Noble and four regular Kobold's, that is what Tess reported back. "The Noble should be the priority target." says Lavinia to the group, she thought the reasons for such a thing were obvious so she didn't bother to state them. If the noble was able to call for help they'd be in trouble, Lavinia had a plan for stopping the Kobold in such a event. This plan did involve her Harpy's shriek attack, though loud this attack would stun any enemy within range. But it could also alert more Kobolds of their presence. It was a gamble, but she didn't really have any other method of halting a enemy in its tracks. As everyone was getting ready, Lavinia took her staff in hand the staff began to glow a light green as she tapped it against the floor. The green energy dissipated and formed a ball in the air in front of Lavinia. After a short moment the orb burst in a gust of air and her Harpy twirled in the spot where the orb was, its arms raised like it just broke free from an egg. The creature was beautiful with light green feathers, a human like face with noticeable bird like features. Lavinia reached out to her new companion and placed her hand on her cheek smiling her friendly smile she gives to everyone shes fond of. "Hello..." she says softly and the creature smiles in return, the creature was never one to talk much unless it was required. "Get ready to fight, there is a group coming. Please refrain from using your shriek until I say, understood?" Lavinia says turning towards the expected direction of the patrol. The Harpy nods and does the same, the pair ready to fight.

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I'VE BECOME INDESTRUCTIBLE The moment he laid his plans out it seemed that the woman they were waiting on would finally join them. Stepping out of the shadows like some sort of Wraith, Balore raised a brow at her. Did he truly trust someone like that? Someone new who seemed to be lurking around the entire time they were preparing. It was a stretch that he even trusted the assassin in their group as he had a few prejudices about the sort of people that played the class. Deciding to shelf his concerns, they would move forward into the tunnel entrance as there was nothing that could be said at this point that would end well.
"Be careful Tessia." he said as she vanished into the shadows. Now he was alone with three other women. How did he keep ending up in a situation like this? He chuckled inwardly as he looked about him at the other three for some sort of reaction to the plan. They all seemed okay with what he had said and so he figured that was what they would do for now. "If a patrol is moving in on us we should take care of them. I'd like to gauge their strength and see what we're up against." he said. Somehow he knew that statement would appeal to the newcomer.
Balore offered a simple nod in the direction of Ame and her new companion. He was more focused on the mission now than introductions, though he didn't want to seem rude. "Another set of eyes on our health bars always helps, welcome aboard." he said as he then smiled partially. "We should probably head in now that we know what we're facing." he said as he motioned for them to follow. Quietly he would draw out his blade and advance down into the tunnels with the girls in tow. Secretly he was excited to run into this patrol though they had to be smart about it. Normally he would face it head on but they couldn't allow them time to be organized.
Conferencing the party via telepathy, Balore decided that he would elaborate on how to handle this now. "We need to keep them off balance. I figure the best bet for this to work is an ambush. Tessia, can you pick off the weakest one in one hit? That way they will be off guard and I can taunt the rest. By the time they recover we should be able to dispatch a couple more." he said. It seemed like a sound plan but he did not know the extent of the training these Kobolds might have. Perhaps they were also experienced with such tactics.
Once they had the layout of the tunnel, which he assumed Yvonne could provide, they would choose a spot to ambush from. Turning his gaze towards the newcomer he decided now was as good a time as any to ask. "Since you came from the tunnels I assume you will be our guide? Is there a good spot nearby we can wait to ambush them from?" he asked. | WORDS | 516. | TAG | @xxx. | NOTES | Not sure if I should describe the tunnel so.. | MUSIC | xxx.

Stalking the furthest Kobold from the group, Tessia nodded as she heard Balore's suggestion to take out a weaker one first. It made sense, as taking on the leader might not kill it in one hit, then she'd be taking on all 5 at once. Not a good idea. Waiting quietly she watched as the furthest Kobold wandered a bit too far away from the others, nearing the rock she hid behind. Sight or no, it seemed cover was still as useful as ever here. Activating Deadly Dance, she bolted from cover as the Kobold's back was turned and hopped atop a larger boulder and leaped high into the air.
Twirling silently as she twisted her ax around and directly over her head, it was a wonderful feeling like almost flying. as she descended atop her target. One of the Peons noticed her however and let out a cry and motioned that caused the her target to look behind itself. Just like she had planned, there were a lot of them but they were not that bright. Just as the Kobold looked up, Tessia collided with it and drove her shoulder behind her ax's pommel. Cleaving the Peon right in two it still looked skyward, still in such shock as it began to dissipate into data. Using the bursting data as a cover, Tessia activated Accel Dance and drew two throwing knives.
Snapping them both out to hit the Peon that had warned it's allies, Tessia's tattoo marks shimmered silver as the knives stuck them in the chest as Accel Dance sped her up with two stacks of speed. She had to keep their attention so that her allies could take up the rear and rout them completely. Bolting from cover to cover, partly down the somewhat torch lit tunnel, she shouldered her ax and drew another knife just as the Noble was approaching it's flailing comrade. Seeing her Frozen Crescent shimmer told her Accel Dance was ready again. Activating it and snapping her knife at the Noble, it stuck fast into the creature's shoulder as now Tessia was at a third stack of Accel.
Once again, she bolted even faster now for cover as the Noble and it's Peon snarled and came after her. Dashing from cover to cover, she was thankful they didn't have any ranged moves it seemed. Hit and run, annoy them but don't take them out yet. Making her way through the gloom she passed another Peon as it had started to converge with it's allies, she rolled past it in a blur of motion as it flailed a club and missed terribly at the shimmering flickering form of her body. Taking some cover again she spotted Balore leading the group and nodded, drawing out her bow as she Activated Fatal Ambush, feeling her marks glow a dark red as she waited and felt the world slow about her senses.

Ame was ready to go, so ready that she was craving for them to move in sooner than it was happening, but she would wait. It wasn't her decision to move forward so she really had no choice. It was a hard thing to do, be patient, but it was a virtue and she was a pretty virtuous person, so she kept herself calm, and would wait for the word before moving on. She did have a slight aching to fight, but in this battle, she would have to hold back. She was the healer, and though she could technically be known as a battle cleric, she would have to play support for this mission. They needed a healer more than a tank and she knew that she would have to pay close attention, though she could still be apart of the fight. It was her job to stand back and watch the battle so that she could see the different roles the team would play. If she saw something that could be better, such as positioning and what not, she would be the one to tell them. Though she hadn't played many MMOs, she was good enough to be able to look at the schematics and see who fit best where, and in the midst, heal whoever needed it. She knew this would be an excellent chance to test herself and see what she was really capable of. She felt more excited now, and couldn't wait to enter the tunnel.
She looked over to Lavinia, seeing her sporting new accessories and a new.. staff?! "Wow, Lavinia! You got new gear!" She smiled widely and clapped her hands together with excitement. "They look great! And that staff!" She was a little jealous. She herself, had put in an order to get new armor, but she hadn't gotten any word that it was finished, so she doubted it would be. She had asked for a lot though, and sort of felt bad as her order was quite large, but she wanted to change her starter gear so that she could become better, but she had yet to order a staff. Yet another thing to add to her mental notes of things to do, but she would get there, eventually. She really was in no rush at all, as there had been absolutely no words of being transferred out of the system any time soon, if it happened at all, so she knew she had all the time in the world. She did miss her family, but, she was getting used to being here, no longer thinking of it as just a mere game, like she had in the beginning. Now, it was her life and one she would take great care of. She had gone through some bad things, but she hadn't been killed once yet, which was a surprise to her, but she knew if she remained careful, it would be a long time coming before she did die. She was a cleric after all, with abilities that could heal herself as well as the others. Not that she thought they would die here, but she would make sure that they didn't. Plus, if someone did manage it, she had received the Resurrection skill, so she could bring them back if absolutely needed.
Ame watched as Lavinia casted out her Harpy summon, and she stared at it with a smile. It was a cute creature and reminded her of her own pets, though hers was based on her summoning abilities and mana, where as Ame's was purely just a pet, though some mana was required to domesticate them and make them her pet, not to mention she had to constantly feed them or they would get angry at her, well, her rabbit, Spoticus anyways. Mamori wasn't the yelling type, but she still got hungry and Ame had noticed that she became a depressed creature if she was hungry, and she never wanted either of her pets to go without food, so she tried her best to always keep them fed. She would have to learn how to make pet food eventually, but what she had was fine for now as they could really eat any sort of food, though Mamori liked meat, where as Spoticus was a fruit lover. She had heard that most animals were picky, and would only eat certain things, so sometimes, that would make it hard to befriend them, but so far, she hadn't had any problems with that, so she was happy.

| Ready, Aim...
Lavinia watched Tess sneak off with curiosity, it was rather interesting, the assassin class. How they could just up and disappear and sneak almost any where they like. Looking at Balore, Lavinia sees hes ready, strong and stout, his armor shining in what little rays of light can be seen in the tunnel. Looking to Kitty, Lavinia sees shes just as ready as Balore, Mamori by her side, Kitty even looked anxious, like she wanted things to happen faster. Mamori, Kitty's fox companion, suddenly reminded Lavinia that she wanted to touch Kittys ears. Maybe she would have to settle for petting Mamori instead. But later, this is not the time for that.
Her new staff in hand, her companion beside her, Lavinia looks over to her harpy smiling and gives it a nod. She then takes her new staff points it in the direction of the patrol then brings it in towards her body so the tip was facing behind her. She then twisted her body so went her staff is flung forward the projectile would be launched with maximum force. This would be her idle pose allowing her to begin casting Elemental Bolt as soon as Balore had a hold on the enemy. The next few moments while Lavinia waited for Tess to do her business and Balore to do his seemed to take ages. She imagined her hair turn gray and her skin wrinkle with age as seconds seemed like years. She imagined being in Balore's and Kitty's shoes in a fight, blocking and attacking with a sword and shield or mixing in healing and damaging spells as the group needed healing. She threw the thought of being Balore from her mind. She didn't like being any where near a monster if she didn't have to be. Kitty's role though was intriguing, keeping an eye on the enemy and the groups health while managing damaging and healing skills sounded like something Lavinia could get behind. Despite her almost unbearable impatience, Lavinia would hold this pose for as long as she had to. She would hold, until she had a target to take aim and use Elemental Bolt on for the first time in a real fight.

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I'VE BECOME INDESTRUCTIBLE It seemed that things were going great- the chatter behind him told him that they were in good spirits. They would need to be to brave the darkness ahead of them he was sure of it. Just as he was about to add to their conversation he could hear the tell tale signs of battle happening up ahead of them. It seemed that Tessia had taken his suggestion and gotten the battle started for them, now they simply had to catch up to reinforce her. There was a rather cruel looking smirk on his face as he thought about all of the blows he would soon be trading. Something was happening to him in this world, something he was not sure he liked. Without even explaining why, the guardian drew his sword with a loud ring. There was no time to waste and he assumed they would follow his lead without questioning it. Surely they too heard the sound of kobold squeals and the sounds of combat and panic up ahead. His mind was preoccupied with the task at hand now, there was no room for much else. What sort of enemies made up the patrol again? A noble and some fodder if he recalled correctly as Tessia had reported it. He needed to draw the attention of the noble first so that the others could be picked off without much hassle. It was easier than he had imagined seeing as how Tessia had turned their backs to them. They had the opportunity to launch a surprise attack here and it was one they would never see coming. Once more that grin appeared on Balore's face as he held his sword off to the side. He took only a moment to scan the enemies positions before he decided that he was going to wade head long into the fray. Charging the enemy, he lead with his sword first this time as he broke out a new attack for the enemies to witness. His right arm became a blur of motion as his sword slashed at the enemy and then ended with a thrust. "Now that I have your attention boys." he said with a laugh as he targetted the noble amongst them. Now he simply needed to activate his [Anchor Howl] so that they would all turn to face him. Unfortunately for some of them they were not fast enough to realize what was happening. While they chased Tessia they teetered on the brink of breaking the leash he had on them now. With a gentle push over the edge, they would take massive damage and probably be killed (excluding the noble). Considering that the tunnel was narrow, had a lot of fallen debris, he felt like he could easily funnel them into a tight spot against his shield and hold them here. Now all he needed was for his team to start slaying. | WORDS | 484. | TAG | @xxx. | NOTES | Having an off day q.q | MUSIC | xxx.

They were here. Their enemies behind her as she saw the telltale activation of Anchor Howl. Seems Balore was going for a early rush and draw of the group. Her target she watched was the Peon she had stuck as it fumbled about the rocks and turned around looking right at her. Unfortunately, the only thing it saw was its vision splitting in two as her quarrel from her bow struck its brow. Thanks to the damage increasing of Fatal Ambush, the arrow practically split the Kobolds head as it drove through, shattering its head as its body tried to catch up.
Ducking under the cover of the bright data burst, and sure she was hidden Tessia rubbed her temples. Thankfully, since she had raised her level a bit the drain on her mind had been lessened thank to the massive increase in mana. Her choosing the Ritual was paying off here as she had to wait a moment to recover but no longer had that nauseating headache. Hearing growing, Tessia quietly put away her bow and scooped her battle ax atop her shoulder. The Noble and it's remaining two Peons were close, and she would have to be ready for them.
Stepping silently aside as they approached her hiding spot, they were lured towards Balore who had already struck one and caught them in the effect of Howl. Leaving a wide berth of about 15-16 feet between her and the charmed enemies, she could be seen behind the group now as she slipped out a throwing knife. Sending silently to her comrades, "This is were I watch and wait guys. I have them encircled with Balore, ready for you." She really just wanted too see the girls in action as well. And, well it seemed fair to spread out kills a little. Just because of her damage output there was no reason to take all the exp.

Ame stood, looking rather patient, though truly, her mind was become impatient. She held back the fidgeting feeling she was getting deep inside and let out a small breath, one silent to the ears. The anticipation of the battle was getting to her and she found herself wondering when she had come so keen on battle, especially a big one like this. They were to divert attention away from the bigger groups, so that their load would be lessened. It made her wonder how they were doing, if they were completing their missions with ease, or what was happening in their groups. It didn't matter now, as she would probably have to wait until afterwards to hear anything about the others. She breathed in deep, until her ears twitched at the sounds of battle, coming from within the underground entrance. She felt her grip tighten around her staff, this was it, it was time for battle.
She jumped slightly at the sound of Balore's sword being unsheathed from it's scabbard. She took a deep breath in, knowing he was about to charge, and readied herself to go in after him. Just as she figured, Balore jumped at the chance and disappeared into the dark opening of the tunnel. She looked over to Lavinia and smiled. "You ready?" She didn't wait for an answer though and instead charged in after him calling out for Mamori, who chased in after her. If she wasn't ready, she would have to get ready, though she knew Lavinia better than that, knowing that she was probably just as ready as any of them were. That was what she liked about their little group. They were all different, but somehow they were all the same and communicated nicely with one another. She felt grateful to have such a wonderful team and group of friends. They were closely knit to each other, which was strange as really, none of them knew each other out of the game. But right now, that didn't matter, they were here, together and whether it was fate, or a random act of coincidence, they were, indeed, a team and a strong one at that.
As she came up to Balore's back, she stood away from him. She didn't want to get caught in his aggro call as the last thing she needed was for them to be drawn to her. She watched him strike at the enemy, blowing the lower leveled enemies away and she nodded with a smile. She then searched, her eyes wandering for a sight of Tessia. She needed to scope out her location, just so that she could keep an eye on her distance from them. Her ears twitched as she found her hiding in cover. She couldn't see her, but she could hear her. Suddenly, her eyes found her as she moved from behind the cover, throwing knife in hand and heard her voice chime in. She nodded and sent her a message of her own. 'Make sure you watch your back, Tess. The noise is bound to bring in another group sooner rather than later.' It was a fair warning and one to be taken seriously. These tunnels sent waves of sound through them and the last thing they needed was to be ambushed upon ambushing. 'I'm going to hold off on attacking for now, so keep sharp, but if you need an extra damage dealer, let me know.' She was what was known as a battle cleric. She could fight, and deal a large amount of damage, or she could heal a lot of health, but going one step further, she could handle doing both at the same time and keep up with it, but it was better to support with a group this large. She had been training for a fight like this, but better to be safe than sorry.
