| Harpy = best back scratcher ever
Lavinia didn't answer Kitty with anything more than a grin, that's all that she figured that would be needed. This is it she thought as they got closer and closer, her form rock solid. There they were, what was left of the group that Tess had already engaged. Watching Balore charge in Lavinia follows taking slow steps toward them so that she will be in range when Balore finally has a hold of them.
There it was, Anchor howl, as expected "Go." Lavinia whispers to her Harpy as the tip of her staff begins to glow and swirl with wind elemental magic. Elemental Bolt is triggered and two seconds later she brings the staff forward taking aim for the head of the kobold that appeared furthest away. Her plan was to hit the furthest one away, so that it stumbles off balance and out of the area of effect of Anchor howl, triggering its effect. If done correctly Balore should be enough to finish off the kobold with the special attack.
That's when her harpy dashed in for the noble. Giving her wings a powerful flap as she moved forward she rose up into the air and spun around launching a gust of wind element magic toward the noble kobold. Now at the noble she swiftly swung around behind it and begin to claw at the Kobolds back. Like ordered the harpy unleashed everything it had at her target, but keeping her stunning shriek in reserve. Lavinia wanted to save it for if the noble tried to call for reinforcements, however Lavinia was worried that the loud sound from such a skill would entice more Kobolds to investigate the noise. Maybe not a full reinforcement like allowing the noble to call for help would be, but maybe a few just to investigate. Despite this, not allowing the noble to actually call reinforcements but the trade off of having a few come to investigate sounded like a better trade off for Lavinia.

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I'VE BECOME INDESTRUCTIBLE As the howl pulsated through the area the two attacking Kobolds were drawn back to Balore. There was a wide grin on his face as he watched them bring their weapons about and stare him down. They were trying to figure out how to approach him or so he assumed. It didn't matter too much as he could already tell that Lav was already on the move with her summon. The true advantage of using this skill in a party was that if you had someone with you who thought ahead it was quite dangerous. That was when the harpy would come rushing by him as if she had also read his mind. A few well placed attacks by the feathered creature and the kobold would stagger out of the radius of anchor howl which triggered the effect; massive damage.
He did not hesitate to finish the kobold off either- his actions felt like instinct as he rushed the enemy. As he approached the noble tried to strike him with their weapon but Balore raised his shield to block. Not letting the loss of momentum stop him, however, Balore kept charging onward. The noble wouldn't even have time to strike at him again before Balore was upon the staggered opponent. Raising his sword for a thrust, he activated his [Sword Rain Flurry] once more and quickly stabbed the kobold twice.
Now that only left one monster for them to deal with, though more were probably around the corner. The noble drew back his weapon and let out a fierce growl as he moved in on Balore who did not seem to back down. Instead he let out his own taunting growl as he raised his shield and prepared for battle. Singles combat with a monster who could read movements and use weapons; how exciting. As the two approached each other, they quickly traded auto attacks. The noble would slip past his guard this time, striking him on the chest plate. His own swing would only be a glancing blow off of the nobles chest guard that did very minor damage.
The downside to being a tank was that he did not have many damage dealing abilities. He needed to level up and purchase a two handed weapon for him to use. That way he could still potentially tank and deal some damage- perhaps even aquire the quick draw skill to swap. Shaking all other thoughts from his head, it was time to activate yet another skill. [Aura Saber], a faint blue aura started to surround his avatar as brought his sword about for another swing. The glow from it seemed to be mainly focused on his blade- which he then quickly brought down upon the nobles chest.
It was a direct hit- yet the damage was once more not that high. Instead the monsters fixation on Balore sky rocketed even higher. The rest of the fighting he would have to leave to his DPS if he ever wanted to kill the thing. 'I've established a decent threat lead now. Feel free to blow it up whenever, guys.' he said using telepathy to communicate with the team. | WORDS | 526. | TAG | @xxx. | NOTES | Sorry for the wait. | MUSIC | xxx.

"Then I shall leave it too the others. Moving onward and scouting." she said, keeping the knife in her palm and the ax atop her shoulder. They worked well as a team it seemed, she just hoped to do so as well for her part. Moving silently, Tessia stopped for a moment and sipped the potion Lavina had made for them. Blinking a few times and allowing her eyes to adjust once more, she found that a lot like cats she could now see better in the dark. Shuddering at what her pupils must look like Tessia resumes her silent trek further into the cave tunnel.
Luckily there did not seem to be any more Kobold groups following up the next as she did attempt to lure them closer towards the entrance. The plan worked thus far, now she had to get some intel on the Kobolds main lair area and a head count. Stepping silently, she rounded one bend after another until finally, about a good four or so turns, the walls widened into a rather large dimly lit expanse. Slipping away her knife and ax, Tessia took cover in the tunnels natural indention and observed.
It was a good thing Lavina had made those potions, it was so dim in here without them it'd be impossible to fight correctly. Kobolds had no real need for torches as they could see just fine in the gloom. Spotting at least three more Kobold Noble's milling around and squawking at a lot of underlings, she k new why a distraction would be more useful and not a full on assault. There were enough reinforcements here to cause even higher leveled players trouble.
"There is a lot up ahead but at least the path here is clear. My suggestion would be perhaps a bottleneck tactic. Lure them back were we came, with Anchor Howl and some high damage then pick them off in the tunnel. I count at least three Noble's, and over twelve or so subordinates not counting hidden ones in some of the hovels. Tacking them on directly is foolish." she sighed mentally and slipped back into the tunnel a bit more and crouched. She would need the whole group behind her for this and she was willing to wait. Her trusty bow was in her hands again.

Ame dashed her eyes back and forth between Balore, Lavinia, her harpy and Tessia. Things seemed to be going rather well. No one had been hit and the Kobolds were almost all taken out. She didn't think it was necessary, but she began to cast. She wanted to keep a tight grip on the situation. She gripped her staff and silently activated her skill [Reactive Heal] It would hit Tessia first before she moved. She didn't want her cover to be blown further in the tunnel by casting the light. She waited, watching her cooldown bar carefully, then switching her gaze to the fight before her. Lavinia's harpy was good, really good and she felt her lips curl into a smile. She thought back to when she had first met her. The summoner didn't know much and it was her first time playing Elder Tale, much like herself. But she had been dabbling MMO's for a few years, so she had a bit more experience with them. Lavinia had seemed shy and definitely seemed new, not that it was a bad thing, but now, she had grown, not only in level, but in mind as well. Ame flicked her eyes back to her cooldown bar and saw it disappear. She nodded and focused on Balore, gripping her staff again.
She would let the warmth take him as she casted it again, this time on him and watched the familiar glow form around him and then fade away soon after it had appeared. He seemed to be enjoying himself, which made her feel happy. She hadn't known how into fighting he actually was, but it really didn't surprise her. He was a guardian and without a love for the fight, it would be hard to be the tank of the group. Even still, he seemed more in tune then even before, just the same as Lavinia. They had all grown, and were still growing, whether it was apart or together, but mainly together. They had plans of making their own guild, however, they had joined Aeryn instead, as they had similar goals. She enjoyed being in a guild with them, whether it was for themselves, or with others, but she was happy that there were others. She hadn't even met all of the guild members yet, or that she knew of, but she was sure that there would come a time.
Her mind was sent back to the fight as Tessia's voice once again chimed in. She explained the current kobold count further on into the cave and took a breath. There was a lot of them, but they could deal. She nodded her head in agreement and then thought to the group, 'I think Tessia is right. We should lead them away from their current positions and cut them off as they come. We don't want to overwhelm ourselves, and with the amount ahead, possibly more, we shouldn't strain. We need to take our time here, and hold off as many kobolds from the bigger teams as we can. We got this guys!' She smirked at her last comment, always wanting to be the positive one. She dashed her eyes to where the cooldown bar should be and then looked towards Lavinia. Gripping her staff and making her slight movements, she casted [Reactive Heal] again, leaving her with just above three quarters of her mana left. Once she cast it upon Yvonne, it would go down to three quarters. She looked down to Mamori at that moment and spoke to her. "Okay, once more of the kobolds begin to appear, I'm going to need you to help heal as I'm going to join the fight. Don't attack, just use Spirit Fire, alright?" Mamori nodded and nuzzled Ame's leg, making her smile and she bent down to pat her head. She couldn't stay out of the fight any longer. She wanted to show off her skills as well, since she had acquired a few new ones.

| Silly has a Owy!
Lavinia was right in thinking ahead as she watched Balore destroy the first kobold and shortly after the second. While Elemental bolt was still on cooldown her Harpy could still deal damage while Lavinia waited for the cooldown to finish. That is exactly what her harpy did, clawing at the back of the Noble as Balore kept its attention on him. As soon as she was able the harpy spun around in a circle unleashing another gust of its wind magic into the back of the Noble. She then immediately switched back to her claws and continued her assault. Watching her cooldown on Elemental Bolt Lavinia took the form from earlier ready to launch another attack the second it was on cooldown. The window flashed indicated she could use it again and so she did, the tip of her staff began to glow green as wind magic swirled around it, two seconds later she flung the staff forward in the direction of the Noble hitting it square in the face, finishing it off.
Relaxing thinking the battle is through, Lavinia's harpy returns to her side and she gives it a approving grin. As she listens to Tess tell them about whats up ahead, she is unable to pick any flaws in the plan so she remains quiet taking in the information. As Kitty's healing surrounds her and that all to familiar warmth from their first battle together draws Lavinia away thinking back to it. She gives Kitty a warm smile as the unseen noble launches its attack toward Lavinia. Hearing the slight sound behind her, Lavinia turns around just in time to see the noble swing its club down smashing her on the right shoulder, knocking her to the ground and taking about a quarter of her health away. "Shit, Balore!" she hissed trying to say it loud enough that the urgency gets across but not so loud it attracts attention. Holding her shoulder with her left hand and griping her staff in her right Lavinia tries to push herself back away from the Noble with her feet glaring at the creature for the pain in her shoulder. Before anyone else can react, Lavinia's harpy dashes to her masters aid pulling the Nobles attention away from Lavinia lashing our in a fury of sharp claws.

I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT I'VE BECOME INDESTRUCTIBLE As always he had to say very little once the combat truly began. They were great players- able to react to the moment without being directed. No one could have asked for a better set of adventurers to have at their back. It was moments like these that made him happy to have stumbled across the two of them. It was also these sort of thoughts that distracted him from what really mattered and right now that was finishing the fight. Ever since his venture into the woods he had felt different somehow. There was an overwhelming need to prove himself to those around him, show them his strength.
Once nothing stood before him but dust and data he seemed to be sated. Lowering his blade, he kept his shield hoisted and at the ready to respond to any threat. He tried to remain focused on the task at hand, Tessia's voice flooding his mind with a rather brilliant plan. Yet something made him feel uneasy, as if they were only being tested. What if the Kobolds knew they were coming? Were they that smart? Did they have the capacity to think like the lander NPC's? These were all pretty serious questions, ones he hoped to have answers to.
Yet he did not have time to reply to the plan as Lavinia called out his name. His body whipped around almost as if it had a mind of it's own. In that moment he could only think of the one he had failed. His voice ripped through the tunnel as he taunted the Kobold rather crudely. Yet it worked all the same, regardless of whether or not the beast man understand what was being said. Taunting shout was a hell of a skill when used properly it saved lives, at least some of the time.
Once more his features shifted, his ears, his eyes. Something seemed to be getting the best of him right now. Yet it was okay in this instance, the anger made him strong. Moving as quickly as his armor allowed, he put himself between the noble and Lavinia and locked his shield down. The Harpy was a decent distraction but he needed to end this thing now. Taking two quick leaps forward, he thrust his blade deep into the belly of the best, several times which would weaken it's HP quite a bit.
"Hang in there, Lav." he said- though the encouraging tone he often had was nowhere to be found. Instead he sounded as if he was angry, rightfully so. | WORDS | 425. | TAG | @xxx. | NOTES | xxx. | MUSIC | xxx.

Now came the most unsteady part of tracking anything. When it came with friends that liked to spread out. As she waited, Tessia had to occasionally duck out of sight, even make her way back down the tunnel a little ways and listen for pursuit. Silent Move helped with this as she could stay at a pace just ahead of the occasional Kobold that would poke it's head out into the tunnel entrance. Each time she would take up a far enough spot away from it, bow poised and ready to shoot if it spotted her.
Almost five minutes since her last call out too her team. She was getting a bit worried. "Hey, everyone alright? The situations the same here." Is what she had said as she resumed spying on the Kobolds from the tunnel. Slipping back the way she came, her thoughts worried a little, Tessia sits next too a large stalagmite and crosses her legs. Pushing her back up against the cool stone, she allows her senses to wander as she often did when hunting. You had to adjust to the natural surroundings if you were to ever truly be calm.
In truth, she had no idea what else could be done, what with the team further away such a large number of the enemy waiting ahead. Trust. She had too. As much as she wanted to start a distraction ahead, it would just be easier to simply wait and see what the other could offer. Slipping her bow away and sighing a little she rests were she is. Listening to the dank dripping of distant water, the movement of the Kobolds just ahead, and the guttural noises they made when speaking to one another.
Feeling her tatoos glowing now softly, she runs her hands along her bow and can feel mana flowing through her into it. She had remembered once there was a alchemist formula that allowed one to alter the state of a weapon's projectiles. What she wanted was a bit of fire to launch into the rooms. Fire always had a special way of causing the best panic. Low light creatures would even be affected more by it as they are not used too it. She sat and tried to remember what was needed parts wise, to alter the state of her bow into something more deadly. Her symbols glowed a dark red as she waited on her allies, both a sign of were she was and her current thoughts.
