Rihn was wandering the wilds, lost without a purpose, she had just been 'asked' to leave her home and village for reasons we wont discuss here. She wandered all the way to the Greetwoods in search of some method to acquire what the Adventures call AP. She heard from rumors and word of mouth that an easy way to get AP, whatever it was, was by fighting creatures around your level. Rihn wasn't really happy about killing another living being, but she could get over it if it meant returning to her village. As she walked through the peaceful woods she hummed to herself as she watched the birds sing in the trees, the rabbits and other small critters run at the sight of her, it all reminded her of home.
Continuing her walk through the trees and brush Rihn comes across a Level 1 "Young Pittered Boar" and lets out a sigh. She didn't want to harm the creature, but if she was going to advance forward she would have to get over it and just get it done with. With her staff in hand, Rihn wraps both hands around the top and closes her eyes as if she is praying. The staff begins to glow as she casts "Familiar: Grey Wolf", the creature that appears after is a young looking wolf pup spirite with grey fur, and cute brown eyes. Opening her eyes, Rihn looks over at her friend with a smile, she was glad to see him. "Alright, you stay back until I attack first okay?" she says softly to her companion and then looks at the boar. She had a plan, didn't know if it would work or not but who knows. Taking her staff, Rihn readies it in front of her and then aims the front at the boar and slowly walks towards it. The boar looks up to her cautiously and Rihn begins casting "Flameburst ", her staff glows red as flames swirl out from her hand to the tip of the staff and then the flame launches itself forward in a conflagration of heat and destruction. The boar would be engulfed in flame and take some damage by the attack, and the wolf pup charged in immediately after. Biting the boar as the pup flew around the air it dealt decent damage as well and would continue to do so until the boar was dead. Thankfully the boar was a few steps away and rather distracted by the hole being on fire thing, because Rihn, and her lack of skill in offensive magic has also lit herself on fire. Her sleeve now smoldering, she panics and starts flailing her arm around in the air trying to extinguish the flame.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Well... here goes nothing... After having gotten used to his new predicament for now, he decided that it was time to put his skills to the test... quite literally... he'd been in that city for a couple of days, listening to everyone in town talk about what was going on... and from what he gathered, it was near impossible to use abilities with the command window... and instead to use the ability as if your body knew what to do... which apparently, it does... he had to figure this out on his own... and wouldn't luck have it, he comes across someone else... a Druid, by the looks of it. He had been a Druid before, and knew how hard it was starting out... fighting a level 1 boar wouldn't be easy... but she could do it. That is, until she set herself on fire... he sighed, going over to the girl and tamping out the smolders on her arm. "You should be more careful. Concentrate and let your skills guide you, not the other way around." Look at him, speaking like he knew what he was talking about... he decided not to get into this fight and instead let the Druid and her Familiar take care of it. "Go ahead... try again. This time, feel the effect... know that your body knows what to do." At least, that was the hope... INVENTORY

Blinking I look at my arms, flexing my hands. Smiling I look at my surrounding. Suddenly something tugs from behind me. Glancing back I see my tail wagging back and forth. I raise my hand to my ears and rub the prick wolf ears.
"My wolf traits are visible right now. I suppose I am joyful to be here. Perhaps I'll learn to control it a little later. " Thinking to myself while I stood here. "Where am I? Hmm, a valley? Oh Windsor Greatwood, alright. " Next I draw my weapon, grasp it in both hands. "Now what to do? "
Hearing sounds of fire, animal cries, and panic, my ears twitch at the noise. Deciding to investigate I rush in the direction. Staying to the edges, a girl and boy close to a boar. The boar looked charred, although the girl did as well.
"You should be more careful. Concentrate and let your skills guide you, not the other way around." The boy says aloud, he had two starter rapiers, so I assumed Swashbuckler. "Go ahead... try again. This time, feel the effect... know that your body knows what to do."
Perhaps watching awhile longer would be beneficial. Clinging close to a tree, glancing at the two. I want to hear this advice.

Rihn sighs as she watches a random stranger assist in extinguishing the flame on her sleeve. Looking over back at the boar and her pup, the boar is dead or will be very shortly thanks to the flame dot and the wolf pups onslaught. But the advice this stranger is trying to give is incorrect, at least in this situation. Under normal circumstances an adventure could use the "hotbar" method for triggering skills, but for whatever reason Rihn was entirely and completely unable to even comprehend such a form of combat. This leaves the third and only remaining option for her to fight, unfortunately for her it comes with a painful skill curve. "B-but I've done it like this all my life!" she exclaims and it was true, Rihn has always casted her spells in this manner, it was how she was taught. Her wolf pup returning to her side Rihn smiles at the creature and praises it with a smile and a pet on the head. "Here, watch I'll show you." she says gesturing to another boar that isn't to far away. Motioning for the stranger to follow Rihn takes several steps to put herself in range and waits a moment. "Just like before, you wait until I attack, okay?" she directs to her wolf pup companion giving it a pat on the head. Looking over her shoulder at the stranger Rihn smiles at him "Okay, watch." she says turning her attention to the boar. Raising her left hand up, palm and fingers extended, she takes aim. Her hand glows orange as she starts casting "Flamebusrt", the orange quickly grows into fire that wraps around her hand and most of her forearm. But this time is different, the flames never touch her, and the flame itself seems weaker. A seond later the flame launches from her arm and begins to torch the boar and at the sametime her pup charges in dashing through the flame carelessly as it assaults the boar. Rihn cooks the boar in the flame for the whole ten second duration and then lets her hand fall to her side. As the boars health drops to almost nothing her wolf pup finishes it off and it bursts data and gold coins. "See, it is a bit weaker, but also it didn't backfire." she says turning to the stranger. Thinking, Rihn remembered seeing a bunch of adventures greet each other with some weird handshake. So she tried just that, extending her right hand out to the stranger with a smile she introduces herself "I'm Rihn." she says still wearing her smile. Tag: sotarou, ZedahaelWord Count: 434 Notes:

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Introductions Abound The stranger smiled as she explained her predicament. Staying silent as he followed her, he looked as she attempted to cast her spell once more. And he instantly saw the problem there... once she'd finished casting and the Wolf had gone to finish the Boar, the stranger chuckled. "I see... I see you attempting to cast a spell dangerously. Focusing like you did just there is all well and good, but you leave yourself wide open for attack while you're casting. And if you're distracted for even a second while you're casting your Flameburst, well... your robes showed you that result. Every character when they made a first level character got a weapon appropriate for their Class. See me, I got two Rapiers." He gestures to the Rapiers on his hip. "You being a Druid should be using a Staff to focus your spells through. That'll allow you to cast your spells at full force without having to concentrate on it not frying your arm." He chuckled again... He then nods and bows to the lady. A little awkward for him, but he managed it well enough. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Rihn. I am Sotarou, a Swashbuckler." As he spoke all this time, he had made gestures... however, his left arm seemed to just dangle at his side while his right hand did all the gesturing, including the bow. INVENTORY

Watching as the girl takes out another boar, she explains why her predicament with abilities. She looked like a druid and her spells suggested that as well. The swashbuckler gives more advice, and the girl listens. She then hold her hand out.
"I'm Rihn." Rihn says waiting for swashbuckler to shake hands. He bows to her at first.
"A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Rihn. I am Sotarou, a Swashbuckler." Sotarou says shaking her hand.
Moving at an angle around the two, I try to stay hidden. Though has I round a tree something began hissing and lunged at me. Falling backwards after the attack, I look at the beast. Level three "Garden Snake", it sat ready to strike again.
As I got up it lung at me again. This time I use "Bushido: Iaido" to attack the creature first. Looking I barely did any damage, and my HP did not look good. Perhaps standing my ground would not be wise. Taking a step back caused it to lung at me. Once more it did damage to me, but I managed to hit it as well. Still my health was quiet lower.
Deciding to stand my ground I activate "Ace Move: Bushi Chousen", shouting to challenge the creature further. The creature began to lung, this time I manage to evade it. Then strike at it, lowering its health possibly a fourth.
"This will be difficult, but I have to try." I thought waiting for another attack. "Perhaps I should ask for assistance."
"Any assistance would be greatful." I shout hoping someone would hear.

| Notes Word Count 365 Rihn sighed as the stranger tried to explain about using her weapon and was dead wrong. She infact does know about how using her staff would be better, channeling the magic through it gives it a significant boost. But as her former attempt as shown, she can't handle the strength of the offensive spell. "That's what i did the first time, and you saw what happened..." she says blushing with the lack of confidence evident in her tone. "I just need to practice more!" she continues optimistically, she hopped with practice she could get the hang of her offensive spells, if she didn't she would be stuck just being able to cast healing spells effectively and that would be bad. Rihn smiles at Sotarou as he introduces himself "Nice to meet you, Sota..." she says getting cut off when her ears register a shout for help near by.
Looking around franticially for where the shout came from seeing the source Rihn looks to Sotarou "Come on!" she says to him urgently. Turning and running towards this new stranger Rihn looks over at her shoulder to her wolf pup and motions with her head toward the stranger and it dashes off to aid in the fight. The pup would then proceed to dash around quickly biting at the snake until it dies or Rihn commands him to return. Taking her staff Rihn raises it as she runs and stops a short distance away from this new stranger and as she does her staff glows a misty green for a short moment then the green light disappears and appears around Zedahael as Rihn casts "Heartbeat Healing". As Zedahael is bathed in the green light his health will be healed every few seconds for a few moments. This should be enough to keep the new stranger alive for the duration of the fight.
After the snake dies Rihn sighs in relief as her wolf pup returns to her side, her MP pool is now getting rather low now. Giving her pup one last pat on the head she desummons him with a smile. Looking at this new stranger "You okay?" she asks him with concern in her voice. Code by Neun of ET. Artwork from Alchemical Meister. |

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Finally, Some Combat! Sotarou bowed to Rihn, a nervous chuckle escaping him as he did so. "I apologize. I did not know you had used your staff... but if you had, the spell should only have encompassed the staff at the tip of it. So you might have been holding the staff weirdly... I don't know." He smiled as Rihn continued talking to him... it was actually a conversation that didn't make him feel like he was being scrutinized... but as the conversation continued, there was a shout. Looking about, he noticed another guy nearby fighting a Level 3 Garden Snake. A Tank, it looked like... easy enough to help out, since he had the Aggro. The Snake looked about halfway down, but the guy was on cooldowns and wouldn't be able to dish out enough damage in time! As this realization hits him, his completely dead left arm twitches to life as it grabs one of the pair of Rapiers on his belt, the other hand grabbing the second one. He pushed off, hard, dashing towards the snake alot faster than even the Druid's Wolf Familiar. Making an X-pattern strike against the Snake, he called out "Mirage Dealer!" After the X-strike, he seemed to teleport a short distance away from the Snake. Literally a second afterwards, the strike against the snake hit powerfully. Sure, not as powerfully as one might fully hope... but it was still a decent strike, and with the Snake focused on the Tank, it wasn't going to attack him for the high damage output. The Wolf Familiar finally made it to the Snake, helping to quickly end the battle before the 8 second cooldown even wore off. Putting away the Rapiers, his left arm went back to flopping to his side as if dead. Sotarou went up to the Tank with a smile. "I hope we did not overstep our bounds by killing the creature for you, but you did request for our aid." He also looked at Rihn with a smile. "Your healing prowess is rather good. You'd do real well in a party with a Tank like this Samurai." template by caesar

Quickly a figure dashes into the serpent, they then disappeared. I didn't try to find them, my focus was still on the garden snake. It's health dropped after the ability activated, I slashed at it once more. A grey blur starts to damage the snake further. While I took this in, a green light baths me slowly restoring health. Looking I find the girl using her staff to cast the healing. Shortly after the strangers assist in defeating the creature, I sit against a tree a little worn out.
"The overall damage and healing seems to have ended with my health in a good percentage." Taking a deep breath I relaxed closing my eyes for a moment.
"You okay?" I hear, as I open my eyes I see the female Rihn.
"I hope we did not overstep our bounds by killing the creature for you, but you did request for our aid." The swashbuckler offers friendly.
"Yes, I am quite alright. Thank you for your healing druid." I say with a big smile. "By no means am I ungrateful for your help." Slowly, raising from the ground, I reach my hand out to greet them. "I am Zedahael, level one samurai."
Introductions made a circle, I take note of their names and how they are currently acting. "The girl seems to be of the land, the swashbuckler. Well he acted strangely, just watching he didn't seem to move his left arm much."
"So what shall we do now?" I question the small party. "We could stay here and grind off of these mobs, to level ourselves. Or perhaps we could head to town. I don't mind hanging around with either of you, unless my company is unwanted."

| Notes Sorry for the delay, you know why. :) Word Count 307 Rihn happily smiles at Sota's compliment on her healing and it was true. Rihn has always had a knack for healing, her Heartbeat healing spell was the first spell she ever mastered. Even before the calamity she was capable of using the spell if someone were to attack the village. Watching her spells effect slowly fade from Zeda it would heal him almost completely, Rihn thinks she'll need to learn another heal spell soon, the one she has is enough this time, but that was just one monster. "Thank you" she says happily, Rihn was glad to be of help, but really she was also happy she didn't have to attempt to not light herself on fire again.
Relieved that the strange was alright as he stands introducing himself and Rihn returns his gesture "I'm Rihn" she says smiling at the samurai Zedahael. Rihn wondered about the two men she was now with, about adventures in general really. They were capable of doing amazing things so easily and their mysterious and sudden appearance in the world didn't help with this either. Because of their very nature, Rinh found them to be interesting.
Rihn quietly considers Zeda's proposal, stay and kill boars or go back into town. Maybe the Swashbuckler Sota would answer before her or maybe he would wait for Rihn to answer first. But she really couldn't decide, she wanted to level but she didn't want to harm the animals. "Well, I came out here to practice my magic, but I don't really want to hurt any of the animals... So, I'm okay with either." she says to both of be gentlemen she's with. She really didn't mind going back to town, although Rihn really didn't know what they would do if they did. So she would let the other two decide and follow their lead. Code by Neun of ET. Artwork from Alchemical Meister. |

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Let's Get Some Levels Sotarou bowed to the young Druid with a smile. "Then my dear, I shall do damage on your behalf. And if our powerful Samurai there would consent to join us as well, I believe we would be quite a party. A Tank, a Healer and damage. This way, you don't set your robes on fire from healing someone." He just chuckled a bit as he said that. Looking at the Samurai, he bowed once more. "As the lady has introduced herself, so shall I. I am Sotarou. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Samurai. If you would not mind us joining you, it would be spectacular." With the heat of battle out of the way, Sotarou looked quite... big. 6'2", as well as he had a very heavy British accent. As well as, his left arm still dead as a doorknob as he bowed and talked. “It seemed the druid didn’t want to kill the beast, or harm anything. Though the swashbuckler, well he was a player as I. And we normal don’t mind slaying these virtual beast.” I think for a moment. “Though it seems we all do want to progress in strength.”
“Well we are out here, and we have barely used our resources.” I say see my health and mana returning slowly. “If we would like, we could gather a group and I’ll hold their attention while you provide the damage and she can heal. Or we could focus on the higher level creatures. I have no problem with our strategy, just as long as we let our abilities reset and our bodies return to healthy before continuing.”
After deciding on our strategy, we search the forest for more opponents. “So, Sotarou, you got a problem with that arm? And what’s your story my dear?” I ask my companions, while thinking to myself. “Might as well get to know them. Who knows how long we could travel together.”
They didn’t say anything right away, so I say something about myself. “Perhaps less personal? How bout, I’m a chef and a pathfinder. What are your subclasses?” All the while watching for a spot to grind. “Oh yeah if we collect ingredients I could cook us a meal. As long as you don’t mind me trying for the first time.” I give them a smile. “I wonder what they are thinking. Regardless, it doesn’t really matter.” I think letting my tail wag slightly.

| Notes words Word Count Numbers Rihn listened to the two men as they discussed what to do next. Their discussion was exactly what Rihn wanted, to go train some more. After all, she needed AP and this is one of the few ways to get it. "Sure! Sounds like a plan to me." Rihn says giving them a smile. It was unfortunate that to progress life would have to pay the cost, but Rihn knew that this was the way of the world they all lived in. The words of her village Elder rang in her head "This world is a beautiful place, but it is also cruel, the strong pray on the weak to become even stronger that's just how things are..." While true, Rihn really didn't think that's how things had to be.
Rihn followed the two men as the group searched for a monster to fight. Kind of in a day dream as she looked around admiring the forests beauty, she was kind of listening when the samurai asked Sato and herself a question. This roused her from her fawning "Oh, me? Well I'm trying to get stronger. I was told by a group of adventures that is how I'll get something I lost back." she says looking at the ground. While her powers of being able I communicate with nature are returning, slowly, they are no where near once Rihn once had.
His next inquiry was something Rihn heard often from adventures even if she didn't understand it yet. The answers the adventures gave were what Rihn took as their hobbies so when asked she would answer in a similar fashion. "Well, I wrote the manuscripts for my village's records and I talked to the wind, the trees. They used to talk back, but they haven't answered for awhile... But I could use something to eat!" she says in reply giving the samurai a smile. Code by Neun of ET. Artwork from Alchemical Meister. |

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Wait... What? Sotarou walked with Rihn and the Samurai for a while now, a little bit of a smile on his face as he did so. He'd met up with others! He's talking to them! They're talking to him! Not looking at him we- aaaaand there's the question... the Samurai had caught on to his arm... and he really didn't feel like lying to the guy... so he decided to answer. "In this world... nothing at all. But back in our own world... I was born with a disease that would have killed me in a matter of a few weeks... in order to stop it from reaching my heart, the doctors had to remove the appendage that the disease was spreading through: my arm. I've pretty much lived my entire life without a left arm. And since being in this world, I still haven't gotten used to actually having an arm..." He gripped his left arm in silent contemplation for a bit before fully listening to Rihn's answers to the questions put to her... Sotarou thought about Rihn's answers for a small bit... and blinked a bit, confused... "So... wait. You... you speak as if you're not an Adventurer... you can't seriously be a Person of the Land... can you? I didn't even think they COULD do the stuff you do." He looked rather confused. Then the rest of her words brought him out of confusion and more into curiosity. "What did you lose? Maybe we could help find it?"Aaaand then the asking of Subclasses. When the Samurai revealed his Subclass... he sighed a bit. "Well, there goes my uniqueness in this party. Chef as well, plus I'm a Gardener. When I make stuff, I prefer to use the freshest ingredients. And what's more fresh than growing the ingredients yourself?" He gave a nervous chuckle. "Though I have yet to actually make a Garden... no Guild to speak of, no housing, nothing like that at all. Quite literally, I made this character an hour before the patch hit, pulling us all here." And that was his story for the day. "So. If we're both Chefs... maybe we could each focus on specific parts of crafting. Two chefs making food sometimes makes for a better dish. Buuut that doesn't right well help us if we can't find anything to cook into food!" He'd been scanning the treeline for any mobs that could drop meat. Rabbits, boars, anything like that. Even the small fungi monsters would do. Grilled mushrooms... INVENTORY
