Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Great... "Just my luck... just my bloody luck..."The apparent British national wandered the forest for a while, looking behind bushes, around trees, UP trees... looking for something... anything. "I finally get the nerve to go out and do a bit of hunting for food, and there's not a bloody mob in sight! It's like they've all been spooked..."The apparent Swashbuckler looked around as much as he could... but there wasn't a single mob in sight. He'd even settle for a snake at this point... even something as simple as a rat. Even if it didn't give him materials to cook with, he could still level up off that... he thought about his XP Pot... thankfully, he hadn't drank his today. He would only drink it once he'd found something he could attack... but that was looking less and less likely as time went on and he attempted to extend his search farther into the forest... "Of all the bloody luck... seems all the others are gettin' all the best kill spots... at this rate, I'm like not to get ANY kills at all... stuck at level 1 perpetually..." He continued his rant while he looked around for any Mobs at all. INVENTORY

Tracking one of her Frenmic Rabbit's she went out to hunt, Tessia stayed low in the grass and silent thanks to Silent Move. Following slowly and watching its tracks, she noticed a lost looking Swashbuckler moving about. She decided to at least try to offer some advice in this area, maybe even some help as it seemed he was looking for a fight. Slipping out of cover and into the well lit path, she stood and approached. "Hello there. You seem to be looking for a tussle. Care to join me in a hunt?"
Truth be told she was used to pointing a few new players just out of the City on were to go and what to expect. Even had stuck around for a few kills and some hides. Though, she would have to level down like before to help this guy as well. Tugging down her face mask to give a simple smile, her tattoos shimmering in the midday light with a pale silver glow. "I am Tessia by the way. Tessia Meier. And you are?" Extending her hand to the man simply as she watched his responses.
Though, despite her friendly gestures, her other hand was still resting upon the rather large battle ax pommel on her back. Ready to strike or react to any enemy threat that would decide to interrupt this pleasant conversation. Hopefully she could help this young man.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Aaaaand Someone Approaches "Hello there. You seem to be looking for a tussle. Care to join me in a hunt?"These words found the 6'2" Swashbuckler turning to face the newcomer in surprise, hands nearly going for the Rapiers on his belt... until he realized the newcomer meant no harm. He sighed in relief, and... this was strange. As he sighed, his left arm started dangling to his side as if it were just a dead arm... "Uhh... yeah, actually. I was out hunting for materials that I could use for cooking. As well as some levels and Gold so I could get my own place and set up a Garden." His right hand went to his left arm, squeezing it a bit. "But so far, I haven't found a single animal in the area. It's like something's spooked them. Or someone's already come through and killed them all...""I am Tessia by the way. Tessia Meier. And you are?"The Swashbuckler smiled and offered out his right hand to accept the girl's outstretched hand in a handshake. "Sotarou. No last name." He chuckled nervously as he responded. INVENTORY

"Well, this area is a well hunted spot. Mainly by lower leveled adventures like yourself. That is why usually it's a bit further in that you find the smaller groups of monsters and the like. I will aggro us some slimes." She walks past him a bit and draws her battle ax, hefting it across her shoulders easily. Activating the mentor function of the menu, she sighs as her tattoos shimmer red for a few moments then silver again. Noting her level has been reduced to 1, she nods and activates the self buff Accel Dance.
As her marks shine gently, she hears the telltale rustling of the bushes as at least three Dull Green Slimes wobble out towards her, reacting too the mana she just exerted. Smiling at the rather cute things she says back towards the Swashbusckler,"Now's your chance! They reacted to my mana. Mostly they will just try to jump on or at you. Have at it!" She hops back and draws a single throwing knife, watching the slow advance of the slimes with all the concentration as if it were a Field Boss. She was interested too see how this newcomer would fight.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________And Here We Go! Sotarou smiled as his left arm twitched to life, gripping one of the Rapiers in his employ, and his right hand gripping the other. He brought them to bear, going for the first Slime closest to him. Flipping his wrists around, he used the butt of them to attack the first slime. "Blind Bet!" A swift and powerful strike with the butt of the Rapiers he had on him to knock the sight out of his opponent for ten seconds. Quick as can be, he was ready with his next attack. Flipping his wrists back to normal and creating an X-shape with his Rapiers, he dashed forward, almost invisible to the naked eye... and he reappeared a meter behind the Slime. "Mirage Dealer!" A large X-strike pattern suddenly appeared on the Slime... but as that happened, there was a noticeable smokiness on Sotarou's arm. The Slime had gotten a hit off while he was attacking... INVENTORY

Nodding as she watched him exchange blows with the slime, Tessia snapped the throwing knife at the damaged little thing. Lowering it's HP to red, she drew two more and tossed them in the way of the other approaching slimes, giving Sotarou time to finish his first. It was slow going but she enjoyed not having to rush about and dodge Golem arms for once. "Try to hold off one some talents. Sometimes a simple attack will do."
Hoping that at least made sense, she snapped two more knives at the now frustrated slimes that tried too approach. Grinning at them as they tried to wibble wobble around the knives as they stuck in the ground. One decided to roll towards her suddenly, to which she simply heaved her battle ax at it calmly and smacked it backwards towards its alley. "That's one damaged, you should be able to take it out too now that it's aggo'd too me." She stepped back slowly and paced the slow moving thing easily, patiently awaiting Sotarou to finish it off.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________And the Windup... Sotarou quickly moved back to his target as Tessia brought it to the red with a throwing knife. Heeding her advice, he did a simple attack, which actually consisted, with the Swashbuckler, to attack twice, once with each Rapier in hand. Slightly longer cooldown than single attacking, but the way he was going to stat himself... that wouldn't be much of a problem. As he struck with the second Rapier, not spending any MP at all on another Skill, it was enough to kill the Slime, leaving two left. "That's one down." He gasped! "Bollocks! I forgot to drink my XP Pot before this fight!" He sighed. "Ah well... I'll still get XP for the bloody kills... just not as much." He was on cooldowns for another 2 seconds. He was really gonna need to invest in decreasing his cooldown speed... INVENTORY

"Ah well. The potions are useful but best to just use em and be done with it." Another snap of her hands and the slimes were yet again interrupted at proceeding forward, blobby angry veins on there faces and silly mad expressions. Tessia was quite fond of the blob monsters really, they reminded her to take it easy at times and even enjoy things now and again. She would use her bow but unfortunately it would cause way too much damage against them to be useful to a low level party member.
The other undamaged slime rolled forward suddenly and Tessia darted forward as well, smashing its rolling to a halt with a lat smack from her ax head. It rebounded away from her as she hopped back smiling all the while. She would have to remember to make some slime Magitech trinkets in her shop as a attraction item. Maybe even as a potential light symbol. It must have been strange seeing her with such a odd goofy grin on her face, having forgotten to tug up her face mask again before the fight.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Okay... Weird... Sotarou just looked at the creepy smile that Tessia had on her... "Uhh... right..." He dashed up to the one that Tessia had attacked last round, dashing forward and striking the Slime with both Rapiers. The cooldown on Mirage Dealer wasn't up yet... and his attack damage wasn't high enough to bring it to death, but it was in the red. And with the damage so low, it was hard for the Slimes to Aggro. Another 2 seconds, and his actual hit and his Mirage Dealer would be off cooldown. INVENTORY

Tessia rushed the other slime as soon as Sotarou attacked the one she had hit earlier. Leaping up over it as it tried a jump attack, she landed nimbly upon it and bounced off too the side from the springiness of the slime's body. Laughing a little she snapped another knife just in front of it as it tried to roll after her. If these things had voices they would most likely be hurling insults and curses towards her, almost constantly being halted by her knives each time they tried too move.
"Hey, once you've dealt with that one, and this one we can go hunt more if you want. This is kinda fun and I find them so silly." She said as she watched the slime try to roll over the knife in it's way. Shouldering her ax she rested a little and observed the Swashbuckler fighting. He was light on his feet for sure, and the weapons aided him in striking quick, but as always had a low damage output. She wondered if he wouldn't mind a trinket, just to aid in his damage dealing a bit. She would ask as soon as he managed to fell the slime in front of him. She watched eagerly to see how he would handle it.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________This Ends It! And there it was, the cooldown on his Mirage Dealer was up. His thoughts went straight to how he'd handle it... first a normal attack, then Mirage Dealer right after, since the cooldown on his normal attack was 2 seconds anyway... taking a small breath in, he rushed to the last Slime, striking with both his Rapiers again, bringing it to the low yellow. Just enough... after the normal attack, his blades made the prerequisite X-shape as he suddenly vanished again and appeared a meter in the opposite area. "Mirage Dealer!" This time, he had a bit of flair, sheathing his Rapiers as he called out the skill name. As he did, the moment the Rapiers were sheathed, the last Slime exploded into cash once more. Sotarou sighed a bit as his arm was singed again... and as the battle had finished, his left arm became as dead a weight as normal once more. He sighed a bit, letting his battle instincts fade away... he'd done it... and the damage the Slimes did, there was no way he could survive fighting them on his own... he was glad there was someone else there with him. He smiled at Tessia. "Thank you for your help. I would like to rest a bit before we gather more, just in case I don't get as lucky with my shots next time."INVENTORY

Watching him fight she nods, noticing like a real duel wielder they cant really guard but can cause significant damage. Seeing him take out the slime she listens to his words and tugs up her face mask and ties it. "That's fine. I have a offer for you, since the mentoring mode only affects my Assassin level, I was wondering if you would like a trinket to boost your abilities maybe? I can make it do anything really, though for you if you would like to use your abilities more often I can alter damage, the cool-down, whatever really. I could use the work and the materials I have already."
She was hoping to at least make him somewhat more effective with something, as at the moment dealing with slime's was quite the pain. "Since this areas a bit clear for now, the slime's should take a bit of time on re-spawning. So, how about it?" Rummaging in her menu she produced the necessary items to make a Magic Accessory. Sitting she traces a sigil in the dirt to help guide her mana too the objects once she has a idea of what he would like. The marks across her hands and chest shimmer a light blue in reaction to her touching the items, as she slipped on gloves and withdrew a Mana Fragment.
"I would honestly suggest some cool-down shortening. But it really is up too you." She awaited his response and slipped out some old diodes as well and placed them about the circle with the mana fragment in the center pulsing its cool blue light. Luckily she was right about the re-spawn, as the slime's would be drawn too the Magittech creation once she started it. But thankfully she knew the recipe well and should have it done by the time they decided to come wobbling in.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________Some New Gear... The thought of having a new item to help him with his cooldowns... that was definitely something worth quite a bit to him... he didn't know what kind of price it'd come with, however. "You said it was an offer... what exactly would the return to you be? I don't have all that much Gold at all... the only real amount of Gold I have collected was from those 3 Slimes. Everything else, I've been using it to stay at the Log Inn. So... the only thing I could really offer is a well-cooked meal." Checking his Gold reserves, he sighed. "And I'd seriously need to find something myself, since all that fight gave me was a measly 7 Gold... enough for a room, or enough for a decent meal... not really enough for both. So... after this, could we MAYBE try to go hunting for some Rabbits or Boars? Even if I get a minimal amount of cooking material, it'd be enough if done right... could even cook you some food in return as thanks for the Trinket and for helping me with fighting those creatures. Speaking of which... the Trinket, I'd really like some cooldown reduction. Any little bit I could get to reduce the 2 seconds on auto attacking... because while my damage output is high enough, 2 seconds in the field is an eternity..." Not to mention his other abilities... but he really didn't count those towards his needing to reduce cooldown. "So. How about it? Help me find some meat-bearing Mobs, I cook us some food, I raise my Cooking Skill in the meanwhile, and the food would pay for the Trinket. What do you say?"INVENTORY

"Hm, your proposal sounds fine too me. I will make the Accessory reduce Mirage Dealer's cool down to zero. Just know that you won't be able to spam it much. The system still regulates having zero cool down with lag. My own Accel Dance speeds me up, so I can really I only reduce its cool down by half." Hoping her explanation made sense, she began the alchemical process.
Placing the Mana Fragments in the center of the circle, and the old Filaments around the edge of it, she allowed her eyes to close and her will to focus. Feeling her tattoos tingle, she placed her palms on the circle and forced her mana into the indention. A bright pink flash as her marks flickered silver, she thought of how Mirage Dealer looked and worked. The objects spun about the circle, the filaments entwining the hardening fragments as they shaped a bright blue gem. In the center the wires had encircled the gem in a dark red "X" pattern.
Sighing as she felt the creation finish, she opened her eyes and nodded as the simple small gem glowed a soft red. "There we go. Just equip it too your belt and you'll find you cool down reduced to zero. Just as I've said before, the system will cause you too lag of you hit the skill again too soon. Just be wary of that." She handed him the small item and stood eyeing her mana with a smile. It was nice being a Ritual, one could perform Alchemy an not have it drain a huge amount of mana in the process.

He did this with only one hand, however... looked slightly difficult, to say the least. But once it was on, he looked proud of himself. Sadly, the only way he'd be able to test the cooldown now was to get into a battle. "Cheers. Now... what's say we go scouting for any stray meat that maybe respawned near here, hm? "Right. I will get to finding us some Pittered Boars." Slipping into the brush, Tessia allowed her Silent Move to take over as she slowed and hooked her ax back onto her back. Crouching and slipping along silently, she listened and watched for prints. The boars in this game were easy to track if you knew were too look. She had hunted them several times for there parts and some of the reward for the teeth they had. Just like home, hunting had its usefulness even here in a gaming world.
They really liked the open fields, but that would be too dangerous for her to have Sotarou tackle just yet. Best too keep it simple and too the point. And with her dropped level temporarily she couldn't rely on some of her better abilities. Slowing a tad more, she could hear him moving around a little but tried to filter it out. Lowering her head to the ground she sighed and felt her heart slow. Her dad had taught her this technique for picking up vibrations nearby. Though, since it wasn't really a skill it had limited use, but still worked as the human ear was very sensitive to vibration.
There. She felt at least three nearby boars rolling about nearby, and as she approached the nibbled grasses around her and the small prints confirmed it. Staying hidden she sent to Sotarou, "Hey, just ahead a good 25 paces or so, around the corner of that tree. Three of them. I will let you take the lead, and follow up when I am needed. Can't have you slacking just yet!" She grinned to herself and poked her armor, noticing the filaments flickering upon it as the Mana Armor was active. She waited hand upon her battle ax, ready to intercept any of the Boars that would try and flee.

Swashbuckler - Gardener - Chef ____________________________________________________A-one, and a-two... Sotarou nodded at Tessia, going over to where she'd indicated... the boars didn't aggro immediately, so it was a good practice. Taking a deep breath before starting, he gauged his enemy. Three level 1 Pitted Boars. While his Mirage Dealer would be able to be rapidly casted, he still had to obey the Global Cooldown, as well as his casting time. The best he could do before they could attack is open with it, then Blind Bet right after to bring down at least one of the boars... then, the other two would potentially start their attack, along with the third one, if his attacks didn't hit. But he statted for Accuracy and Speed, so he should be fine... Another deep breath, then he dashes forward, crossing his blades in an X-pattern again. "Mirage Dealer!" He teleported pretty much just behind the closest Boar, dealing a good chunk of damage to it. In the next 2 seconds afterwards, the amount of time for his global cooldown, he spun around and used another ability. "Blind Bet!" The Blind Bet met with success as well, not doing damage, but blinding the Boar he had attacked. Now he just had to deal with 2 other Boars at the same time... which, both of them charged to butt him good! Their attacks were powerful, but not as damaging as the Slime's acidic bodies. And the Boar he had attacked stumbled a bit in its blind stupor. INVENTORY
