Hawk was fairly new to this game but even he could notice that there was short run of lower level quests. For reasons he did not understand this why were there no level quests, Hawk decided to ask some people of the land if they had any issues that maybe he could take care of. THis lead Hawk on a sort of adventure following a number of rumors to the main source that needed help. It turned out it was a woodcrafter that was looking for a small band of adventures to protect him in the woods while he worked on collecting timber in the woods. This sounded as much as quest as it ever would, and it was a in a lower leveled monster area too. So this was just a perfect fit for him. The woodcrafter said that this job would take a few days to prep for and told Hawk to take the time to gather a small party to protect him. Hawk asked what kind of reward would he offer for protecting while he did his work. The woodcrafter thought about this for a little while then he offerd that he would building anything that the adventures wanted, be it bows, shields for their current level, or art for them. Hawk thought this was a fair reward due to him being a woodcrafter and accepted the deal. Also there was the possiblility that there could be some item drops that work for the adventures as well. Since the woodcrafter aske for only a small party Hawk thought posting a quest for four more adventures. Hawk considerd that the area was in a lower level but they might encounter some stronger monsters so five seem probably could handle it. He began to post it on the bullietan bored. The woodcrafter said to meet him outside of the woods in a day in a half. Hawk was excited could not wait for what adventures and monsters he might meet. When the day came Hawk was waiting next to the woodcrafter and his son who had the caravan all set up for collecting the timber, there have been rumors of increased monster activity in the area that they are heading too, but this did not concern Hawk.He hoped that nobody would coward out about hearing the increased monster activity. This is a first come first serve quest, If they is an additional person you have my apologies. There will be loot drops and rewards for the ending of this quest. I am hoping my AP claim will come through soon so i will not be level 1 for this quest. Can not wait to see who joins and hope to have fun.

| | It seemed like no matter where you went now there were adventurers swarming all over the land. They reminded her of locusts, descending upon her world and consuming everything in their sight. While they were not all bad she had witnessed what some of them could be like with one another. Not to say that landers did not fight amongst each other but adventurers seemed to do it for sport compared to them. These player killers as they were called only had one label in her world; murderers.
On her way out of the city that was now overrun by the demi gods she noticed it. There was a rather large notice about some sort of quest that needed to be completed. As a lander that normally held no interest to most of them but to save her world she had to understand them. Sometimes this meant putting herself in harms way and this time that meant potentially joining up with some of them for a similar goal. On the plus side she managed to aid someone at the same time which wasn't all that bad.
'This zone has rather weak wildlife. I should be alright.' she thought to herself as she turned from the board. Making her way to the gates she would exit swiftly and do a quick recon to see if she could find the parties involved. It would be a simple matter for the ritual shaman however as the caravan was only a few paces from the gates outter side and two of the men held axes as a dead give away. Next to them stood a man in an armor style she did not immediately recognize but she assumed he was the adventurer who posted the notice.
Making her way over, the shaman checked her hip quiver to be sure that it was secured. On the outside there was nothing threatening about this woman unless you counted her bow. Her white robes made her seem small on the outside; though underneath she was quite fit and strong. The only thing easily noteable about her was her tan skin, white tattoo's that covered a lot of her skin and her piercing blue eyes.
"I assume this is the caravan for the wood collecting party? I've come to lend a hand as I am also heading in the direction you are going." she said with a passive expression. It was easy to see that she was sizing the three of them up to be sure that they were not concealing anything she needed to be concerned about.

"Faster... Faster..." Pawzyrus swung his nodachi at a broken tree, standing roughly at his height. Every time he struck it, he allowed the whirring of his blade sooth him, as if it was justification for this action. Pawzyrus remembered that battle, how he failed to protect his make-shift party, and instead let a killing rush seep over him. His attention focused back onto his blade, as it struck with more hatred. "Calm. Calm." he repeated until his blade struck with precision, and danger, more than blind rage. He let his imagination take over, and imagined a heavily armored guardian sparring with him. Using his information, he ducked, dodged, and used his mastery of acrobatics to jump away at sweeps, and rolled at overhead swipes. Pawzyrus ducked in close, not allowing the guardian to move effectively under his bulky armor, and sweeped his blade, side-stepping to the right, using the momentum to make a clean and stronger cut. he jumped at the guardian's sword aimed at his ankles, flipped, bringing his sword to his head, before coming down with a yell, and piercing the wood straight through into it's middle.
He took a moment to catch his breath, letting his imagination summon a group of enemies. Pawzyrus's eyes widened. They looked like the bandit party that almost killed them. Anger flew into his arms, wrapping strings around his wrists, attempting to control him like a marionette. "No. Calm." The strings snapped, and he focused on the rushing enemies. He brought his sword up, ready for the first, but an assassin snuck behind, striking him. he staggered forward from the blow, and used the sudden movement to hit the guardian when he wouldn't expect it. Pawzyrus grabbed the guardian, pushing him in front of him, using his body as a shield against another blow from the assassin. He heard the whirring of a serpent bolt, and placed his foot on the guardians back, pushing off, spinning in the air just barely dodging, landing on the ground, rolling, and swung his blade in a sweep towards the sorcerer's knees, but he was just an inch or two away, and missed. he used objects in the environment for the battle, such as the mutilated tree stump, to jump off of as the guardian's back.
Suddenly, his imagination crumbled as a rustling from the bushes sounded. his head spun towards it, but only a small brown rabbit emerged. Pawzyrus's intense gaze softened, and he rested his sword on the ground, kneeling towards it. The rabbit slowly hopped closer, sniffing his fingers. "Your right, I should calm down a little, shouldn't I?" The rabbit pushed his head under his metal gauntlet, to which Pawzyrus petted him. "You’re a cute one, aren't you?" He sighed, "If only I could take you with me... You stay safe, okay?" the rabbit stared at him in the eyes, as if in understanding, and continued to nudge his hand. Pawzyrus pet his head for a while, and got up "That is enough. Nice meeting you, little one. Good day." He gave a smile, sheathing his nodachi after picking it up.
Pawzyrus opened up his interface, poking the button labeled 'Notes', and looked through them. "Work at the seven dancing maidens, done. Practice, done. Meditate at least three times a day to practice control, 1/3rd of the way done. Look for an adventure, preferably one where I can help." He opened up another tab, reading 'Wood crafter's favor'. "that's right. someone asked for help." Pawzyrus stretched, "Reward or not, I should help out. could be a good excuse to meet a good man.
He walked along the path, eventually finding the caravan. He mumbled to himself, "They look like a good enough group." He noticed the shaman, the one from the battle. He sighed, at least I have seen and known of this one, he thought. He stopped near the caravan, and waited for him to finish his introduction. Pawzyrus greeted everyone near the caravan. "I, too, have decided to aid you, milord." He bowed once he was acknowledged, and said "And maybe we could get to know each other on the way?" Pawzyrus smiled, "I would like you help you in any way, carrying logs, cutting mobs, any way I can help." Although, secretly this was also training, to see if he can calm all anger and malicious want in a fight, even when provoked.
he was impressed, though, that he could say Calm vocally and mentally, without the image of the assassin angering him. He had improved.
Pawzyrus looked at the group, another samurai amongst them. Cool, I have someone to train with, perhaps? He knew that he knew nothing of this guy, but he desperately wanted someone he could trust, especially in a world of hate and deceit. He sighed, knowing that whatever he does, he musnt fail. He mustnt make a mistake like last time. He musnt lose to rage. He must protect and aid. He must make amends.
"My blade is yours, no matter what comes our way, i will protect you as best i can."

Post by Darko Lipowitz on Feb 1, 2015 6:05:26 GMT
The young sorcerer set off to the Windsor Greatwood to answer to a request of a woodcrafter to accompany him on the cutting of some trees and fending off every creature or bandit that would get in the way. Although he could not still get over on what he had seen the day before this, in which he had been witness to a gruesome and scandalous display of affection between to werecats, he still set off to answer to that request. Maybe he would forget the disaster he witnessed by joining the party of bodyguards, stop every intruder, and a little bit of communing with nature. At least he had hoped no other idiocy would surface this time around, or else he might go insane and say something evil and abusive. Equipping his weapons, checking up the clothes on himself, and readying up some supplies including the trusty canteen, he continued trudging down the road filled with trees.
The road still was dangerous to walk into, but since Darko had experience fighting off the mobs on his way, he made through them with a minimal subtraction of his hit points and mana. Although he discovered that there were more mobs than normal here. It seemed that at the time he decided to accept the request more mobs were manifest in the area, seemingly welcoming everyone who dare attempt to accept that quest. Welcoming, with claws and crude axes. "It seemed like 'Welcome to hell', damn it."Darko shrugged that thought off him as he continued to search for the caravan. Fortunately the caravan was only some tens of meters away from the entrance of Londinium city proper, and he saw who would be his companions. There was that "bloodthirsty screwball", as Darko called the samurai from their fight against the bandits, who seemed to put out the notice about the woodcrafter in Londinium. Darko, his face slightly frowning, turned toward the next person. The person seemed to be a shaman, and Darko hoped she would not desert them in the midst of battle, or else Darko would have a hard time patching up all of their injuries. And the third companion was a werecat samurai. Although Darko really had no prejudice against werecats, his mood suddenly became sour, which subsided after he took a swig from his canteen, which contained some good dose of caffeine and adrenaline boosters. Mocha, what else.
He then faced the party and said, back to his normal voice which could be considered deep without emotion, "Looks like I'm late."
Welcome to hell, he did not hope.

Post by Sophia on Feb 1, 2015 7:54:19 GMT
It had been a while since Sophia had taken on a quest. It felt like ages to her since that one time she and a couple of her friends had tackled a quest together back on their first day of the Catastrophe. When players became their avatars in what used to be a virtual world, has now became reality. Back then, Sophie was scared of combat in this new and strange world. Instead of fighting like other players, she stuck with cooking. But while she became a decent chef, and was able to make a living for herself at the Blue Belle Inn, it didn't solve her problem of being separated from her loving husband and child. A day did came when she eventually decided it she couldn't keep living his easy lifestyle and it was time to become strong enough to survive outside the walls of the city. And with help from her friends, and those people of guild Aeryn, she learned how to fight in this world through their training. And she would continue training while she held onto that hope that she could someway find a way of escaping this world, and back to her family that she misses dearly. One day in the city, she wondered over to the quest board in the shopping district, as it was the closest one towards the abbey where she currently lives in. She took a brief moment to scan the board for any avalable quest around her level. But unforently, they were mostly in the level 30 or so range and she was only level 15. The blonde woman let out a small disappointed sigh. But then, something caught her eye. One of the requests on the board was overlapping over another. Curious what might under there, she lifted it up. And when she did, her eye brightened up and a wide smile curved on her face. There she found a quest that was accepting Adventurers between levels 1 to 15, such as herself. Excited, she quickly read what the mission was. From her short read of it, she had gotten and understood the idea. They were to protect a woodcarver from monsters, while they went to take the wood from trees. It sounded simple enough to her. And she would get to meet so other adventures. At least she hoped so. While she was starting to get more confident in battle, the idea of doing it alone worried her. But nevertheless, she went back to the abbey to get ready for the day of the quest. It was the early morning, the sun was just moments of becoming fully visible in the horizon. It was at that time Sophie had left the abbey and was on her way over to where everyone, who accepted the request, were to met. Which was right outside of the city's walls, as it was instructed on the quest board. After walked for a couple of minutes on the path outside the walls, she spotted a caravan just sitting in the warm glow of the morning light. "Ah, there it is!" She said, glad to have found. She quickly made her way over to the caravan. As she neared it, she noticed that there were other people by it. She assumed they had came for the quest like she did, and smiled and waved at them as she approached. "Hello, and good morning!" She said with a cheerily timber in her voice, "I read on the quest board, someone needed some protection from wild monsters while they gather wood." she continued, "I hope I'm not too late." She really hoped that it wasn't too late for he to join with these people on their quest.

Hawk was surpised about the turn out of adventures, heck not all them were even adventures they had a person of the land that came to join them on this expidition. The first to show up was the shaman who was also the person of the land, she looked like she was trying to size up Hawk, the woodcrafter, and his boy. This was kind of odd but adventures and people of the land have had trouble relations with eachother so this did not come up to be surprising to him. This shaman could be very usful for the party as a healer her already knew where he was going to put her for when the jounery began. Next to show up was a werecat, This was the first time Hawk adventured with one, he looked like a samurai just as him and he seemed friendly enough. Fellow samurai were common in this game it seems but he never tired of seeing them, he always enjoyed dueling with other samurai maybe picking up a few tricks from fighting them. The next person to come to the caravan was a familiar face and Hawk was not very pleased to see this person knowing that the sorcerer had seen Hawk's darker side in combat, but Hawk hoped they could over come this challenge and work together as a party. Also the sorcerer came from the woods this interested Hawk " So are the rumors true about the increased monster activity"? Shortly after he asked the last person to join their group came in, She was a guardian, whith light brown hair, this was a refreshing party composition with three warriors taking monster aggro from the caravan would not be hard. Now that the party was complete introductions where now in order, Hawk cleared his voice "Well met everybody if you do not already know I am Hawk and i will be leading this quest these two woodcrafters next to me are our clients you can call them by their names which John and the son's name is Carter, or sir. Im glad to have so many friendly face to gather her today and i hope we can work great as a team". Hawk smiled and became eager to begin the journey but there was still information they needed to know about the quest "This quest will take up to three days one to get to the site, one day to gather the timber required, and one day to get back. There have been rumores that there is plenty of monster activity so protecting this caravan from them is the almost importance. Also everybody will be rewarded by our clients by the end of the quest as stated on the bulletin board posting". Hawk was pleased by his speech now it was time to discuss the plan that he came up with " Now we need to get going as we are starting to run out of daylight this is the plan i formed to protect the caravan till we get to the spot that the woodcrafter has designated. Me and the Sorcerer will be in the front, the guardian and the werecat in the back making sure nothing sneaks up on us. The shaman will be in the caravan ready to supp who ever is need at the time. If we happen to get surrounded by monsters we will need to attract the monsters away from the caravan. This is the plan until we reach the site if anybody has any problems with it speak up if not we need to be heading out make sure you are set for this journey and we can get going". Hawk doubled check his gear and waited for everybody's response. Word Count; 623 Use this round of posts to get to know the other people in your party or to challange Hawk on his plan, after this set well get going on the journey. Sophia is roleplaying as a level 15 she asked permission and i granted it to her. There will be no more people joining this quest.

| | Everything they seemed to do was fast paced, there was nothing slow about these adventurers. Not even two minutes after she showed up did they start to flock to the man before her offering their aid. She was unsure how to file that however as that may not have been a good thing either. They could be here to assist the people or they could be here to simply further their own power and greed. The people she confided in told her she should probably try not to think so poorly of all adventurers but it was harder than it sounded.
"There has been increased monster activity on most roads since the demi- err since the arrival of your kind." she said with a flat tone. A lot of their problems she thought were caused by what they were calling the apocalypse. Maybe they thought it was always like this however? Maybe they were unaware of what their presence had wrought for them all.
For her there were no objections to plan or how long it would take to get to the site. She only planned to go as far as the lumber gathering site anyhow, the return journey would not be graced by her presence. Nodding slowly in response to all that was explained she looked the woodcrafter in the eyes to gauge his character. They were definitely not being lead into a trap at the very least; she had also seen that happen in the past month.
"I am fine with that plan. I have been travelling on foot for two months anyhow." she said with a quick smirk.
With that out of the way she turned to the rest of the group. Bowing ever so slightly to the rest of them she greeted them with the respect any stranger deserved. "Welcome to the caravan. I look forward to working along side all of you." she said. You had to know her to be able to figure out if that was sincere or not considering her tone seemed to give absolutely nothing away at all.
"I am Aiyana." she introduced.

It has been several days since the last post and it is pawz turn but since she has failed to post feel free to skip her. I hate doing this but the thread must continue if she happens to come back before the quest actually starts she is welcomed to come back. If does not how ever she will be dropped from the quest so the next person in line feel free to drop a post. Also since ap claims were just done everyone feel free to rp at your current levels if it is under 15, if it is not rp at level 15 sorry for making you all wait.

Darko sat back and waited for the group to depart. For a while it seemed odd that nothing attacked them yet despite having battled with many mobs on his way here. It was as if the monsters respected the waiting area of the quest proper. Well it was better since they would have a respite to prepare for the impending battle, but he thought this situation was as if the monsters were preparing for a huge-scale attack. He then said towards the samurai who asked him about the increased number of monsters in the woods, "Well, the monsters in the area have increased more than usual in the woods, but it is something that could be handled easily. Their levels could be handled by an adventurer or lander at Level 1, no doubt about it. But we don't what would happen next, so I'll be on the lookout if there were more creatures ferocious than those." There was the arrival of a fifth person, a female guardian whose level was roughly the same as his, until the samurai decided that she would be the last one to join them. Darko then took the liberty to inspect the group. Their leader seemed to be the level 12 samurai since he was the first to answer to the notice of help of the woodcrafter and his son. He seemed to be skilled in both melee and ranged combat, given the time that he saw him fight. He hoped he would not get too cocky though. Darko himself was a level 15 sorcerer with skills suited for a large-scale damaging potential with his spells, and could heal himself and others. The prime healer of the group was only level 1 though. Darko thought that he could pull the slack when the healing was not adequate, which hopefully should not be the case here. The other samurai was level 1 and in that virtue somewhat useless as a tank and might only assist on the flank, while the last addition, the level 15 guardian, was easily the best tank by virtue of levels. Scanning their equipment, it seemed that only Darko had his equipment updated. Therefore he could qualify as a tank just in case every other tank needed to patch up their wounds. Hearing the samurai's strategy, Darko thought it was fine, given the level 15 guardian would take the rearguard position while the human samurai and he would act as the vanguard of the caravan. That way they could easily annihilate the foes at the front before a vanguard going to the back to beat up the monsters in the rearguard held at bay by the guardian. The shaman, being weak-leveled as well as being a support, would stay at the middle of the two forces. All in all, they might be doing the square formation, which could be a standard format for guarding a group of persons.
But when he heard the lander shaman saying that the adventurers should have been blamed for the increased monster activity in the area, he became angry, but somehow he managed to conceal it within his calm demeanor, except for some twitch of his eyebrows. If Darko should be asked about that, it was never their fault they ended up here in the first place. They needed to get out of this world, but when they expect nothing more to do than find the one responsible for their imprisonment, they need to deal with some bunch of idiotic landers who thought they should be blamed for all of this? He then said towards the shaman, still devoid of emotion, "Don't worry, when the time comes you will never see our faces again. But as for me I once held landers in a much greater respect than people of my kind, but hearing your words reminded me that between people of your world and people of our world, everyone are the same. There are the wise, and there are the fools." He did not tell the lander shaman that they never wanted themselves to be here, since he thought, as a fool, she would never listen to what she would think would be a lame excuse.
He then moved forward and said to the samurai, "The formation you intend to plan is good. Fine, let us get to business while the woodcrafter does his job, and make sure that nothing would hinder him from his work. If needed, I'll pick up the slack in healing each and everyone of us. Well I would not hope it would come to that however."

"Ah! Nice to meet you all." She said, as everyone in the group shared their names and a little about themselves. Well, some more than others. But Sophie didn't mind that. They would have plenty of time to get to know each other, since this quest would take about three days from the information the young male samurai, whom called himself Hawk, had provided everyone. Sophie thought that the young man had a good head on his shoulders, as she learned of his planned formation for each of the volunteers here today, in order to keep this caravan safe. Yeah, she didn't like the idea of an monster ambush either. As for the others in their group. There was female shaman, whom called herself Aiyana. From Sophie's perspective, the young lady didn't seem very sociable. Even to the man and his son, whom they were suppose to protect. From the way she spoke, calling the others within the party, 'Your kind' kind of made it seemed like she was a people of the land. Sophie wouldn't fully understood, until the another member of their party, who called himself.. Wait, he hasn't stated his name yet? Or maybe she didn't hear him said over the other's voices. She thought. Either way, he replied somewhat implying that the young lady was a fool. At that point Sophia felt that she had to step in. "Hey, hey. Let's not start an argument this early in the morning. We have the whole day to keep this caravan and that father and son safe, and we need to work together. So no pointing fingers, or implying anything rude. OK?" She said softly and tender voice, looking from Aiyana to the young lad, prospectively. She knew the people of this land and the adventurers, including herself, have some grievances for way things currently are, but being at each other throats weren't going to help anyone. After she attemped to try and stop their feud, she assumed her planned position near the caravan, while keeping an eye on those two.

| Hawk was happy with the group that assembled even though the sorcerer and the shaman seemed to go at it a little. Hawk did not appreciate what the shaman had to say about "our kind". People of the land needed adventurers especially now with the disaster of the apocalypse. This interaction with between the two had Hawk worried, not for their safety but for the possible outcome of a war between the two faction. Was there a way to live to together? This was not the time for that thought though, and this was not the time to for our party to bicker either there was a job to be done and he did not want to waste anymore time.
"All right everybody to their positions its time to move out." Hawk took his spot at the front with and began to lead the caravan to its destination. The journey seemed to be going smoothly most of the lower level monsters kept their distance from the caravan. The forest air full of the smell of plants and the the air was cool. At this rate they could reach their destination faster then expected, Hawk began to reach for his water gourd, he would love to drink his saki but he had a party to lead he could not afford to have his senses dulled. The trouble only began once they entered the deeper parts of the forest. Hawk had a uneasy feeling like the monsters were waiting for something. He was then about to create conversation with the sorcerer when he heard some rustling. He instantly rose his for everyone one to halt A duo of Neapent Snatchers appeared as long as everybody remained still they would pass. The snatchers slowly passed, Hawk smiled then began to signal to move again. "That was close..." Hawk chuckled a little.
While Hawk let his guard down group of Brier Weasels appeared. This was what he expected but it caught him slightly off guard, they were close to his level nothing to strong their numbers were a little thick but nothing that he and the sorcerer could not handle. With their appearance Hawk instantly attracted their aggro. Charging at the group of weasels picking out the leader for his attack, "Head Splitter!!" the battle has now begun. Hawk had to relay on the sorcerer to back him up now and keep these wretched monsters away from his clients. This commotion attracted the the Snatchers back to the group though and the began to approach from the behind the caravan towards the guardian.

| | Now that their party was assembled the other two landers seemed to be eager to head off on their trip. Aiyana was just as eager as she wished to get this over with as soon as possible. For her it was simply a means of finding protection in a group while she made it out a bit further to the next village on her way. Ever since that meeting with Widow she was a bit more cautious about what might be out there preying on landers. Before all of this she never stopped to think that the monsters would rise up like this before and swarm areas they previously were not so thick in.
As she listened for the other introductions she shook her head as the sorcerer spoke up. Offering a sigh she put on a smile as the guardian tried to break up a fight that was never going to happen. "I apologize if assumptions were made. I was not insinuating that the problem was directly your fault." she offered with a shrug. She noted that the sorcerer seemed to be touchy and would be sure to ignore further brash outbursts lobbed her way.
Time to move out, saved by the bell.
As the caravan started to move with the samurai at it's helm she started to check her gear. Unfortunately being a lander she had to do it all manually, she had seen their inventory screens coming up before and was simply amazed. Such a convenient way to access all of your belongings and it seemed to come out of thin air. Were these people truly gods? Perhaps they were sent here rather than forcing their way into this world as she previously thought them to be doing. Either way she needed to keep an eye on them as they were all strange to her.
Before she could ask any of her new questions though they halted as a patrol of snatchers went by. Probably for the best that they did not engage them but it didn't seem to be their only problem. Before they could truly get under way again a pack of briar weasels came right for them from their flank. This was exactly what she was talking about before, they seemed to be smarter now that the apocalypse was in full swing. Standing up she notched an arrow and drew back her bow string while taking aim. Luckily for her she was also a hunter and so she did more bow damage and damage against beasts was increased.
Instead of jumping the gun with her shot however she waited for the other two in armor to head in. Aiyana knew little about adventurer battle tactics but she did know that the heavily armored ones were always suppose to be the first ones in.

The "heated" argument between the adventurer Darko and the lander Aiyana was broken up by the guardian, who was named Sophia. But personally for Darko, he was not expecting an attack from the lander after he said it. He just wanted to knock a little sense into the mind of the stupid lander, not engage her in battle. He would not definitely pick a fight with a lander, to be exact, unless the fate of the landers were concerned. But if it would be necessary, he was willing to indent the sense into her mind using a little force, although it didn't have much sense as it was a fallacy of logic. He did not utter a word about that argument as they proceeded with their expedition.
The air was slightly cool and the sun was partly covered in clouds but still it gave some heat on Darko's skin. The weather was very fine for a person to do his work without being distracted. He then stared at the two landers as they walked towards their destination. They seemed very pleased while accompanying each other to cut some trees for the father's work. He wondered how his life would be different if he and his father had that same relationship. But it was not so, and because of that thing he felt more inferior to everyone. If only he had the courage to say those words to his parents, he would feel more satisfied. And that's why he wanted to be strong, strong enough to make a bridge between the two worlds, to fulfill his desires, and become a true human once and for all. But first, he needed to protect this one true paragon of father and son from further harm. Thinking of that, another train of thought entered his head. In guarding these two woodcutters, why did he need to watch them and not anything suspicious around them? Entertaining the latter thought, he went back to surveying the surroundings. Maybe he had overlooked something in that five seconds of staring at the two landers.
They had passed two Nepent Snatchers on their caravan. From his data he knew these creatures had a tendency to attack weak targets, and so they would be dangerous to engage since they might target the two landers right off the bat. Fortunately though, the Nepents were not able to notice them as they passed through without invoking their presence. But as they continued to go through their destination, they encountered a pack of Brier Weasels. But although Darko thought they should not harm the party unless they were attacked, they seemed to be angry towards someone. Taking note on where the weasels were staring angrily against, he saw that they were staring at the samurai, Hawk. He then wondered what's the reason for the samurai drawing aggro on the weasels, and then, as he descended his dark brown pupils, he saw that the foot of the samurai stepping on the tail of the weasel.
Based on his Evaluate skill, the Brier Weasels were docile, meaning they won't attack unless being attacked. Hawk just stepped on the tail of the leader of the weasels which means...
"STUPID SAMURAI. WHAT DID YOU JUST DO."
Darko could not help saying it aloud, since they should not have gotten away from them without harm. But since they have already aggroed the Brier Weasels, they had no choice but to engage them. As he gleaned on his Evaluate skill, the Brier Weasels were weak to Fire, and so Orb of Lava was the ideal spell of choice for these. He then got ready to cast the Serpent Bolt, since it was the best utility spell for supporting tanks like this samurai before him. He then fired the Serpent Bolt from his grimoire, so that the samurai would gain some breathing space as the lightning surrounding him will shock every enemy near him for thirty seconds, while he cast his Orb of Lava spell to deal more damage to the weasels. After some seconds, the molten orb was released from his grimoire and dealt damage to the weasels, which should be debilitated a lot because of their weakness to fire. Meanwhile the Nepents they have passed had been attracted from the sound of the battle and started attacking behind the caravan, but the guardian could fend them off while they finish the business in here. Well, Darko hoped that nothing more would come, since it would be hard for three people to fend off a large-scale assault on the caravan.

"Look, don't worry, dear. I know you were just venting your frustrations." Sophie said, with a gentle voice as she spoke to the young lady. "And I know our presence may be bothersome, but right now we have a duty to protect this man and his son." She then curved her lips into a smile, "So no arguments, OK?" She said, before she turned her gaze over at the young male sorcerer, "And that goes for you too." After that was said, she went and assumed her position at the caravan's rear, as Hawk gave the order for everyone to get ready, as it was time for begin the quest. As the traveled on the road, Sophie's glanced around the field, looking at the various creatures that roamed around. From what she could remember from her training, they were mostly just monsters that didn't attack on sight, which made her relax a bit. That was, until a they were ordered to stop by Hawk. It wasn't long before she started to hear some commotion happening from the front. But before she could go join them and help, suddenly out of no where, a couple of overly large plants with huge gaping maws with thin needle-like thorns that resembled teeth inside of them, had begun to approach her and the caravan on their leafy appendages. The sight of these creatures, had managed to visibly startle the guardian. She nearly froze when her eyes had met with their monstrous bodies combined with their creepily unnatural movements for plants. But she only froze momentarily, as she focused her thoughts on trying to protect the caravan and the father and son inside. She eyes, that were previously filled with fear, had been replaced with determination. He raised up her shield and readied her blade. When the plant-like monsters had gotten within five meters of where Sophia stood, she started to inhale deeply. "A-ANCHOR HOWL!" She shouted, in her stammering voice, exhaling as much air as she could. Her mouth had released a blaring soundwave of her own voice which was carried out in an echo. The plants turned their thorny mouths toward her, opening them big and wide until their insides could been seen, as they prepared to snap them down onto her. With a slight movement of her hand, the guardian held up her large shield over her upper body, believing they were going to aim there. And fortunately she was right. She could feel their bodies pushing against her shield as well as heard their 'teeth' scraping against the metal of her shield. With the knowledge of them so close to her shield, she thought to use it to her advantage. "Shield Smash!" She yelled, pulling her shield back sightly, before charging into the plant creatures with her shield and her own body colliding into them with enough force to push them back a meter or two. With them trying to regain their leafy footing, the guardian wasn't done with them just yet. She, while they were down, proceeded to swing back her longsword, before calling out her next skill, "Aura Saber!" She cried, and her sword's blade became enveloped in a bluish glow. With a swift swing of her arm, she brought it into their sides. The blade left a cuts of a bluish hue on their bulbous heads, which eventually faded. After her assault on the monstrous plant life, she assumed a defensive stance, pulling her great shield up to her chest. She had used up her offensive skills and she need a little time for the cooldown time on them to end. Until then, she would have to rely on her shield to protect her for the time being. She hoped that the others were OK.
