Hello, gamers! Shape here!
While on the cusp of apping my first character, I've found myself at a crossroads of sorts in regards to her crafting class. I'm wanting Sunny to be a demon hunter, a swashbuckler of the Ritual Race who relies on guns, magic, and a combination of both to kick demonic butt. Eventually, I want her to be able to use magic bullets, but I can't decide if Blacksmith or Mechanic would work better with my plans. Maybe I should stay at Scribe. That class boosts magic prowess, and I could just hire a blacksmith to craft the bullets for me. I don't know, though. Ugh. Dilemmas.
Suggestions? I'd love to hear them!

There are a lot of blacksmiths, but most of them don't bother leveling it, I only know two people who take it seriously; they just get it for the armor bonus or something. Mechanics are rarer, but exist. Scribes are a bit more common then mechanics, but rarer then blacksmiths, they get leveled a bit, but I don't know of any serious ones.
Mechanics, I believe, are the ones the manufacturers of guns, I don't know about bullets though.
There are advantages and disadvantages whichever choice you go with, the game designer(s) made a point of doing so.

Hey hey,
So as I've come to understand it, but if I am mistaken please ignore me ;), mechanics make 'normal' guns and such, if you want magic bullets (or other magical weapons and the likes) you would have to take alchemist classes as magic bullets will probably qualify as magi-tech ;).
But like I said, this is what I've understood form things, but am not 100% certain ;).
I think @0x1dea was working on a magitech gun but I have no idea how far he has progressed....

Blacksmiths make solid metal works. Armor, weapons, shields, walls, etc... Pretty much anything metal goes through a blacksmith
Mechanics work with anything and everything complicated that moves, works, lives, or makes life easy. Guns, cars, trains, etc...

@ Mish: How do you know all this stuff, dude!? D: Anyway, for sure there will be pros and con. I'm just trying to decide which class would better fit my agenda.
