Conchobar Aegis found himself venturing far from the starting area from Londinium. Here, there were areas where higher level monsters were present, though he was able to stick to the low level ones for the sake of not dying. He figured there was only so much that he could learn from staying in one place, and given that this was such a massive world, then there should be many places to explore. IF he was a higher level, he would have attempted to maybe fight the monsters, explore a dungeon, maybe see if there was something interesting to find there, but for now, he was good with just exploring the land to see if something interesting was to be found that way. It was kinda like studying. Sometimes you need to only find the cliff notes to be interested in something, before you're willing to dive head first into the whole story. A complete history of Nordic Culture might not sound very fun, but just reading the part where Thor faced, and lost, three challenges, because of a tricky goblin, that was fun. Or reading about how Fenrir was trapped by a ribbon made of things like a cats footstep, or fish's breath, and things of that nature, things that don't "exist" anymore. Once you know some of the good parts, its more interesting to learn about them, and sometimes, its better, because fully understanding something makes it more worthwhile. Here, for example, he may find something interesting. There might be unique flora or fauna that result in some hidden bit of information, that relates to each other... Kinda like himself. Conchobar chuckled and shook his head, wondering if anyone would notice the two minor details of being a Wolfhair and a Berserker, and wonder if they would be able to associate them with the Ulfhednar. He highly doubted it, most of the story involving them were just that: Stories. They were dangerous, sure, but there was so little known about them in modern day... that would explain why they're both so famous and so mysterious. Nobody knows. The Wolfhair smirked and shrugged, continuing to march along the path, keeping to the monster free zones. Sometimes it was fun to just explore. Tags: LuLuWordcount: 372

It seemed like such a short time that Lillian had been thrown into the world of Elder Tale without any warning and truly, it had been, yet, she had already been so many places. She was certainly the wandering type, feeling herself change more and more as she ventured the world. She had gone from being at the top of the charts back home, to being a complete nobody. The fact that no one knew who she really was, made her happy for some reason. She had never wanted to be a pop star. She never wanted fans or large sums of money or anything like that, yet, as she grew, so did her fame. Her mother was the true pop star, but because of Lillian, she had had to stop before she could become big. She knew what she truly was to her mother, the shadow of the fame she could have been had she not been born. Perhaps that was the only reason she had been born in the first place.
She let out a sigh as she wandered the Avon Valley, her eyes watching the land as she passed by. She had never been a fan of nature, but here, in this new world, she had already begun to appreciate it's beauty, it's calmness, it's serenity. She had never thought that plains of grass or even flowers had been beautiful. She felt like vomiting every time some random guy had told her she was as beautiful as a rose. Her response had always been, "yeah, and I'm as thorny as one too." She had never ad a love for flowers, but here, she felt like she could stare at them all day. Was the world really that boring? Or did the world manipulate her mind to not be who she truly was? Or perhaps, she wasn't being completely honest with herself? She didn't know what it was, she just knew it was different, that was it, just, different, whether it was the world, or her. Another sigh protruded her mouth as she looked away from the nature around her and forward to the road ahead.
She stopped for a moment, wondering if she should duck for cover. Just on the horizon, she saw a man, or, a wolf man actually. Blue hair, ears and that was all she could make out. On his side, she figured he would probably be able to see all of her features, pink hair definitely, probably her blue eyes and even the line of her jaw. The foxtails and Wolf Hairs, which she assumed was what he was, could see better than the other races and even hear better. She quickly darted her eyes around for some sort of cover before he could notice her, but there was nothing, nowhere to hide. She let out a soft breath and shrugged her shoulders lightly. She couldn't run from the other adventurers, especially with no where to hide, so she picked her feet back up and continued walking. She had no choice but to meet the man, no choice in the matter at all.

Conchobar hadn't really noticed the woman, having been focused more onto the surrounding environment, until he noticed something moving in the corner of his eye. His ear twitched reflexively as his attention shifted over to see the foxtail walking towards him. Interesting, he hadn't expected many people to come around this area. Most adventurers tended to stick around Londinium, though he could hardly blame them. He had come out here for some exploration, though he instead found another person, who appeared to be walking directly towards him. Granted, that could be a result of her merely doing the same thing as him, attempting to avoid any serious encounters while exploring the different areas as well. However, weather or not she was moving towards him, or merely in the same direction as him, he wouldn't be able to tell.
"Greeting." He would say in a somewhat deep voice when she came close. He would smile politely at her, trying to appear as friendly as possible. There was no need to be antagonistic in the slightest. He could tell that they were both low level adventurers, so PKing would be pointless, as neither of them would have gear worth looting, and screwing the other person over in general was a bad move, as it could result in backfiring with the local 'fauna'. No no, fighting in any capacity would be a very bad move on either of their parts. So, trying to be polite and greet her seemed appropriate. Of course, it was always an option that she would merely move past him and disregard him entirely... it would be rude, and disheartening, but he would get over it. He wasn't way out here to socialize with anybody, but he wouldn't be against it. If anything, they may be more like-minded than in other places, if they had a mutual enjoyment of exploring the areas.
Still, he found himself not seeing very many foxtails around. He saw a few of the beast-races, but he saw much more of the typical elf, dwarf, human trio that was so painfully common in fantasy games. Not that he was against their existance. Both Elves and Dwarves have their own places in Mythology, he just wished there was more... creativity in their existances, if that would make any sense. The idea of fantasy is the fantastical, the things that aren't real, that are made up... so when fantasy has a set of rules that it follows every time, it becomes self defeating. That's why Conor was more willing to try out this game, because it had its own lore with additional races, such as the beast races, or the Alv, who were not related to the Elves at all. They were creative, and showed imagination. Not to mention, the large number of classes and subclasses, rather than a strict system of Fighter, rogue, mage, healer, allowed for more creative work... But he was starting to ramble, and realize that he still had the foxtail to deal with.
"I haven't seen any other adventurers around. What brings you way out here?" He would ask, in an attempt to get the metaphorical ball rolling, so that there wasn't much of a chance of long awkward pauses.

As the two figures moved closer to eachother, Lillian let a soft breath escape her lips. There was a chance that they would pass by each other, a chance that the wolf hair would pass the human without a word, but since she had been thrown into this land, something as such hadn't happened yet. She had been forced to interact with nearly anyone who saw her. If he did pass by, she wouldn't think another thought, but she had slightly gotten used to the friendly adventurers so, though she wouldn't admit it, she was becoming more and more used to talking to others, being around them and if he did speak to her, she wouldn't pass him by, wouldn't be the rude person she was used to being. Sure, she was an idol, technically, in the game but she wouldn't put on her prudish act like she did back in the real world. No, she had to try to be friendly, even if it was just trying. After all, though she was good to fight alone, she would need help should she choose to join any of the boss fights or raids that seemed to happen often.
Her blue eyes cast over the wolf hair as he spoke. She gave him a small smile but said nothing. Perhaps she would come off a shy, and not the arrogance that she was actually being. Maybe he would thing she was strange as she stood in front of him, not speaking. Perhaps he would think her deaf, or possibly dumb. As he spoke again, she felt her head tilt. What was her purpose for being all the way out here? Like her, he was a level one, so really, neither of them should be in the higher leveled area, but yet, here they both were. She raised a brow and then shrugged her shoulders. "I suppose I'm just, exploring." Her voice wasn't a mean one, but it wasn't really nice either, it was just neutral. Then she looked him over, head to toe, then toe to head and took a step closer, her hands finding themselves pinning behind her back as she leaned forward the slightest bit, smiling at him. "And what about you? Why are you out here?" She waited for him to answer, nearly holding her breath.
She wasn't used to interactions with other people. Back in the real world, sure, she had fans, she had to smile at them, sign the ridiculous pictures of herself and speak to them as if she truly liked people but other than that, the only people she had true interactions with were her mother and her grand mother. Thinking of them, their conversations, sprung up a wonder of how they were. She still hadn't figured out why she had been brought to this land, what had happened to them back home. Were the people here considered missing people back home? Did they just disappear from people's thoughts all together, or was it that their bodies were still there, walking zombies, while their souls had been transferred into the surreal bodies. The whole situation was bizarre, far beyond bizarre actually, so far beyond that she couldn't think of a word to describe it. Mentally, she sighed and shook the thoughts away. Perhaps she would discover the meaning of their situation, or perhaps she wouldn't, for now, once he had finished speaking, she held out a hand to him with a warm smile attached. "I'm Lillian, oh, um.. yeah, I guess not here.." She raised her hand above her head and let her cheeks blush a light pink. "I'm LuLu now.. What's your name?"

Conchobar couldn't help but smile and shrug in response, the large pauldrons on his shoulders exaggerating the motion in the process. "I suppose you could say I'm doing the same." He admitted, as he looked about the area a bit. "The Londinium area was really boring to me, so I wanted to see what else this world had to offer, visually at least." He explained, being completely honest. He had no delusions of battle or glory out here, knowing he would be vastly outleveled by even the weaker monsters. But that didn't make the place any less beautiful. Especially in the Scenic route where there was more attention to appearance than anything else. But, that didn't mean he didn't pay attention to the adventurer next to him.
Conchobar took a moment to examine the individual in front of him. He recognized the leather armor as something that was granted clearance to him due to the Heatsink skill for being a blacksmith, though he bypassed it in exchange for taking the skill to go all the way to plate armor. She didn't seem to be much towards being oriented for combat, so he suspected she was more of a support role, though he wasn't one to judge in the end. She looked friendly enough, especially when she would hold out her hand and offer her name. Just as politely, he would take the hand firmly and give it a respectable shake. He had always been told you could learn a lot from someone from a handshake, and he had noticed that it was relatively true. He always made an effort to place his hand so that the crook of his thumb and the other persons' were against each other, and squeeze firmly, but not as hard as to hurt someone, keep the wrist firm and shake with the elbow. This was a good handshake for both sides, and anyone who imitated this was generally someone who knew what they were doing, and had a sense of confidence. The problem was when he would get the individuals who barely put their fingers to his palm and grasped with their thumb. Often times reflex caused him to squeeze as though he were at their palm, and ended up hurting their fingers. He saw this most often with people who were apprehensive about most things. Alternatively, he would see people who had virtually no grip, and be completely limp wristed through the shake, and would often times be hurt due to the jerking of their joints. He saw this with people who were very apathetic, and didn't care, either about a situation, or about specific people. Having a proper handshake shows that one is respectful to a person, and that they are having their attention directed at them. Yes, a lot could be said about a handshake, but this didn't make observations fact. He had even known people who were both limp wristed and poor gripped, but merely followed the 'speak softly' mentality. But, it was still a good judge of character. As a result, he was curious as to what her handshake would say about her.
"Conchobar Aegis is what I'm called." He would answer, with a nod "It is quite a pleasure to meet you, Lulu."

Lillian couldn't blame him for being bored with the starter point of the game. If it were a normal game, played on her PC, she probably wouldn't have minded it too much, but the days passed and the same scenery just became the same old thing. It was like real life. She was slowly coming to the realization that perhaps, perhaps this was her new life now. She couldn't forget about her life back in her world, the real world, as that's where her mother and her grandmother were, but since she was here, she knew she had to make the best of things. In situations like this, not that it was a normal situation, it was better to make the best of things then continue being as she was when she first came here. Her mind had been full of anger, of chaos. The girl had a serious temper, but it hadn't come out in a few days, and it hadn't been as aggressive as that first day. That first day.. She mentally shook of any thoughs dealing with that day and instead focused on the and that met hers.
As she felt the sorcerers palm against hers, she gave him a light, yet strong grip in reply. She had learned at a young age that handshakes were often made out to be a telling of one's nature. His was firm, yet delicate. He was a strong player, she could tell, confident with himself and their handshakes matched perfectly. Even though her class was a Bard, normally a supportive role, she took her class to a new level. She had, so far, been a solo player, focusing on leveling herself up using only attack based skills and some that increased her own skills, just for added effect. She chose the Idol subclass to further increase her game play as a front line Bard. She was smart in her choosings and she would become strong with the way she had been playing, no, living so far and more than any of that, she was probably too confident for her own good and her hand shake would show it. She stood tall and flashed him a smile as he spoke his name and let go of their handshake, not wanting to seem invasive by holding on for too long. She had learned a few tricks in her trade, having to meet with managers and producers and such. The music industry was strung high and she had learned over the years that holding on too long could lose you a gig, or even worse, gain something unspeakably worse.
As he spoke a second time, she let out a small laugh. "Oh, the pleasure is all mine Conch." She paused for a moment, letting him take in the name and then continued. "Like the seashell. Do you mind if that's what I call you from now on?" She tilted her head and gave him her sweet smile, waiting for his answer. She would probably be offended and let off a small temper tantrum if he said no, but that was just her nature. She was used to getting what she wanted. If he agreed, she would probably ask to join him on his sight seeing as she too, wanted to see what else this world had to offer, and company was welcome on this rare occasion. She didn't particularly feel like punching Conchobar in the face and she had wanted to do to a few before him, though she didn't. She tried to keep her head leveled and her tantrums to a minimum, though sometimes they seemed to just burst through unexpectedly. This was caused by the fact that she bottled up her feelings, kept all of her secrets and the dark things she had done in her life buried deep, deep in her heart. Her defense was a strong one, nearly unbreakable. That's why she didn't want other people around her. That's why she wasn't good at making friends, but she was trying. She would try, even if it only meant that she would have those friends in this world, as she had none in the other.

Conchobar smiled as their hands dropped and separated. He could tell she was certainly a capable individual, though almost rehearsed... but then again, wasn't his? Wasn't it the same handshake he always gave? Probably, so he should be no means judge. However, things were somewhat different when she made a small nickname for him. "Conch...?" He was confused, at first, because it seemed... wrong. He had clearly pronounced it properly in front of her, yet she chose to use her own phonetics based upon how it was spelled. Though, he could suppose it wasn't the worst name in the world. Since it was an actual thing, there was at least some ring to it. "I, uhm..." A pause. There was some amount of offense to being referred to as a seashell, as it was the name of a King. It would be like calling King Alexander of England "Alex" or "Buddy". It was just wrong. But at the same time, he himself was not a king, and he was pretty sure there was some manner of heracy or blaspheme with him using such royal name, even if his own name is an Anglicization of it.
"I suppose, if you would like." Conchobar would finally say, almost sounding like he had been defeated, though mostly by himself in his own thought process. Besides, it was just a nickname, so no real harm could come of hit, could it? He would still smile a friendly smile as he rested his hands on his hips, looking around the area still. "If you don't mind me asking, miss Lu, is there something specific you may be looking for? Or merely something new to appeal to the senses?" He couldn't help but ask. Conchobar at least liked to know what others were thinking, as it helped make a more educated decision when making social interactions with them. Of course, yes or no, he would get an appropriate answer. And even then, the whole world was new, every five meters they could see something brand new, weather flora or fauna. For those with sight seeing hobby's in real life, this place must be a dream come true.
Turning back to her, he would wait to see what she would say or do. Admittedly, the wolf hair wasn't the most well versed in direct social interactions, bar a few subjects, and at this point he wasn't sure what to do. In theory, the two of them could turn and walk down the road together, discussing what may or may not be found, they could strike up a conversation about recent or not-so-recent events, discuss history, either their own or something or someone else's, or simply go their separate ways. As far as he was aware, this could go in any direction at this point. It wasn't bad, though, as going in any direction didn't necessarily mean there were bad ones. Conchobar didn't get many social interactions, everyone seeming to be rather closed off due to fear of dying, so it was nice being able to chat with someone more freely than usual.

Lillian wasn't at all familiar with mythology, especially that of the norse kind. Sure, she had heard of man bear pig, or learned of the greek gods and goddess from her mother during her home school, but other than that, she had no clue about anything but the current history of North America. She had always wanted to go to an actual school, be a normal kid, but with a mother and father like hers, normal just wasn't doable. Her father hadn't been around at all in her life and even now he had, 'passed on.' Her mother had been a fail pop sensation, becoming pregnant with her in her teenaged years so her career had gone down the drain. As soon as she could, her mother trained Lillian to be a star, to be famous, how to climb up to the top and how to hold herself there. Sure, it wasn't regular schooling, but it was what she knew. She knew her mother only wanted to bask in the glory of her child's fame anyways, and she was okay with it. She didn't have a childhood, she didn't have teenaged years. Right from the womb she had been trained, taught to be social, but to hate people, taught to be greed, taught how to be civilized and adult like. She wished she had had a childhood. Maybe then she wouldn't be the way she was, but she didn't and there wasn't anything she could do about it.
As he spoke, she felt her eyes narrow at him, though it wasn't because her temper was rising. She figured he was probably wondering how she had even come up with the name in the first place. Before she had asked him what his name was she had decided that that would be her nickname for him and once she heard the pronunciation of it, she hadn't changed her mind. She wouldn't admit to the reason behind it, but the second she heard him, for some reason, his low voice sounded like waves in an ocean, those deep under water ones that sometimes caused you to stick under water and could drown you if you weren't careful, not that she thought he was going to drown her. No, it was the complete opposite. She loved the beach, the only real scenery she truly liked and because of his voice, that was the reason she even wanted to stick around. She was a picky person and it often took some time for her to warm up to people, in this world anyways. There was no hope for her in the other world. She was destined to be alone, or sucker some rich punk into being her husband just so that she could wait for him to die and take all of her money. Yes, that had been a lesson from the one that had birthed Lillian. She had a messed up family and an even more messed up past. She was definitely complicated.
With his question, she tilted her head. She pursed her lips in a thinking manner and looked around at the grasslands before them. Was she looking for something? What possibly could she need. Actually.. "I'm not really looking for anything. Just wandering so I suppose the latter. I mean, I guess I should go into town and get some new armor and weapons once my levels are up a bit but other than that, I guess I don't really know what to look for." She looked back at him and gave him a small smile, then tilted her head again. "I know you said you were out here for the visuals of the world, but is there something you are looking for, Conch?" She narrowed her eyes again, wondering what he could be out here for. Could there be some other reason beyond that of visuals? If there was, she supposed she didn't care, though she hated being lied to, though she doubted he would. For some reason, the guy gave off a good vibe to her and she seemed to be alright so far. Nothing bad had happened and she seriously hoped nothing bad would happen. Then, like a light bulb had went off in her head and before he could say anything, she leaned forward a bit and smiled kindly. "Maybe some good company?" Though she really didn't think she was the 'good company' she wouldn't mind being, or having some company herself. Though it had only been a few days, it got quite lonely in this world.

Conchobar rubbed his chin as he listened to what lulu said. There was nothing wrong with having nothing specific planned behind an ordeal... Inherently, at least, very bad things can, and do, regularly happen, but the concept itself truly is innocent. The Wolfhair would shrug after a moment with a smile. "Well, I suppose that is that, then, I would think. If you're not looking for anything specific, then you're looking for everything, until something specific catches your eye." He explained, at least, explaining his own outlook on it. "I suppose that would apply to me as well, then. There is an entire world here that is as much identical to our world as it isn't. It's just fascinating to explore." Conchobar would admit with a deep sigh, as he looked around them.
It was about that time that she moved onto her final statement. "Well, if I was looking for good company, I think I might be looking in quite the wrong places." The male would jest with a large smile, as he would then shrug. "That being said, I can't say that I wasn't looking for good company, so it would be quite nice to have some around." That outlook might be viewed to some as simplistic, or simple minded, but sometimes things were like that. Not all of the plots in history had intricate meanings behind them. Sometimes one guy wanted to kill someone else because he felt like it, or he wanted something that person had. Nothing wrong with complexity either, just that the less complex things are, the less chance of failure there is.
The Sorcerer would rest his hands at his sides again as he turned to look further down the path. "Something at rest will stay at rest, so they say, and I'm quite curious to see what else we might find here in Avon." Using the word 'we' he was actually meaning it as an invitation to join him in continuing down the path, rather than to presume she would just listen to what Conchobar had to say, but then again, the mind was a fickle thing and the bard was free to assume whatever it was that she wanted to.

Lillian was having a hard time figuring this Conchobar character out. He seemed to idealistic to her and she really just didn't understand where he was coming from. She didn't get how he thought that if you weren't looking for nothing specific, than you were looking for everything, especially if you were looking for everything and something specific caught your eyes. Wouldn't that, in fact, actually mean that you were looking for something specific, but that you just didn't know it, or hadn't found it? She did, however, suppose that this world was like the other, though, she hardly believed it was identical. She hadn't explored the other as she had been doing in this one, though she doubted that the other world, the real world perhaps, could be anything like this one. She pondered in her own mind the meaning behind his words, but she wouldn't voice it aloud. It was something trivial she didn't really want to bother with, so she smiled to him and let the thoughts slip from her mind.
With his next set of words, she felt her head tilt. Was he insulting her? Had he heard some sort of rumor of LuLu, the temper tantrum queen or something? She was about to narrow her eyes wickedly and give him a true piece of her mind, but then he grinned widely. A joke. It was only a simple joke. She sighed on the inside, almost as if she had wanted to start a fight with him. But she wouldn't allow herself too, not yet, if ever. It just wasn't like her. She wouldn't have given it another thought if she was truly how she had been in the other world. Perhaps, with the eyes of her mother watching her every move, directing her every action, she truly was a different person, though, how could you truly be someone you never even knew was there? She wished her grandmother were here. She had always tried to snake her thoughts away from her mother's teachings, teach her her own ways, but Lillian's stubborn nature had kept her tied down to her mother's views, her mother's wishes. She just couldn't escape, never really wanted to escape, wanted to keep herself the way she was. She supposed it was just easier to be angry and aggressive than kind, though in a game, it was a little different, even if you didn't need to always rely on others. Help was sometimes a good thing.
"Unless, of course, it is woken up.." She really didn't even know what he was referring to, though she had made a valid point against it. Something at rest, would indeed, stay at rest, but there was no rest for everything and more often than not, in books and movies and anime and stories in general, those that rested, were often awoken, whether dark or good, by good or evil. It was almost like a life cycle. Who was 'they,' exactly anyways? She had never heard of the expression, so it made her curious about his former lineage. He wasn't a wolf hair back in the previous world, no, he had been someone else, some other type of being. She doubted he was American, not from the way he spoke and acted, he was much more civilized than that of any one she had met. Either way, she smiled to him and nodded her head. "Yes, I suppose I am quite curious myself as to what the road will offer us." She rested her hands behind her back and looked at him, her charming smile dashing his way. "Lead the way." Her voice was a chiper sound, possibly excited, though she wasn't really familiar with the feeling, either way, she was ready to explore, ready to wander, ready to find new things.
