The red haired foxt tail girl falls behind the other two, walking next to Klide as told. She listens to Klide rather carefully. Keyala rolls her eyes, defiantly crossing her arms, allowing her tail to freely wag about behind her as she smirks rather smugly "Klide...you seem to be looking at things the wrong way, that's a shame. I know you can't be all nice, that would be...well...super annoying...but the fact you were able to ignore her shows me something, even if you can't or don't want to see how it is. Sometimes we have to do things that make us seem bad, or make us seem to be evil or unkind, but that cannot define us, and we cannot let that control us. There is quite a bit you haven't seen about me yet, and I'm sure some of it will come up, but you should focus on the idea or ideas that you like about me. Also, when we get out of town, I will fight her. I generally don't take kindly to people who are rude to my friends, and some lowly assassin can't take down Rose if I make her of soil. Guardian Fist would make very short work of her. Trust me, I am someone who can be dangerous in a fight, simply because I can think things out, and I don't give my opponent time to see into my plan before forcing them to move. Someone as quick to anger as my fellow fox-tail there will certainly be unable to combat that. Once I get my level up, and I can summon more familiars for longer periods of time, I will be very difficult to deal with. I'm not a low level because I lost fights, to be honest Klide. That's a story for another day though I suppose, for now, I need your word that you won't stop me, and you'll let Bailin let me deal with this. In fact. I'm not going to jump her, I'm going to challenge her, fair and square, all I need is for you to back me. I'll even make a bet with her, and I won't kill her...I mean....unless she manages to royally piss off Rose, which she might be able to, I don't quite have the right skill to perfectly command Rose yet...I need a whip to use that anyway...which I should actually look for...well...whatever! That's not important right now!" She says, as she paces away from Klide, smirking, she gives him a small wink as she pulls her staff off of her back, holding it to her side as she speeds up, bounding towards Youka "Ey, yo, Fox!" she says as she approaches behind Youka, smirking in a rather sinister manner. She taps the back of Youka's head with her staff, hard enough so she could feel it, but not hard enough to initiate a fight or do any actual, to avoid calling in the guards. "You wanna do some training? How about we learn how to fight, but before we fight mobs, we fight each other, hmm? Make things more interesting. We can even have a wager. If I win, you apologize to Klide, and probably Bailin too if he wants it. If you win, well, you can pick what you want. No one gets killed in this duel. Things feel unsettled, so I feel I need to settle things." she turns to Bailin, giving him a small nod "You don't seem like the person who would care, probably your only problem would be calling me out for doing something rash, or without thinking, am I correct? Klide is okay with it, and I certainly have thought this through." she would tell him, regardless of whether or not Klide actually gave her his approval or not, she seemed to just jump to the conclusion that he would, or that he wouldn't say anything if she acted with enough confidence. "If I can pacify her...perhaps she will actually humble herself out a bit, and realize that we don't want to be her enemy. Maybe she needs some friends in order to see that this world really isn't all that bad...and I mean...it can never hurt to beat down on a pessimist, or at least one who complains more than me. Damn it...you're Keyala now, Keyala doesn't complain, that was Kelly! Keyala is a positive force to be reckoned with!"Word Count: 749 Total Word Count: 6501+749 = 7250 Tags: @blazeedge Bailin Youka

It did not take long before the first pair of footsteps came darting behind the warden, the sound of small feet trying to stay in pace with his long strides. Before the person to whom the feet belonged came after him there were of course some more words being spilled back and forth. ‘This is even worse than at the Miasma Realm.’ The warden thought to himself as he continued his pace, thinking back on earlier times. After a short march the warden reached the gate and quickly passed through it, as Landers and adventurers tried to get in or out with or without party or cart. Some were carrying wares; others had probably delivered goods and were now returning home. Striding past the lines Bailin kept marching upon the road, keeping a steady pace until he reached the end of the safer area, a form of a no- mans- land, where monsters would not come voluntarily, but no guards would assist if they did. There the warden clicked his heels together and turned about face, looking with his eye to see who had followed him towards the hunting, and proving grounds. There the warden noticed that his companions had followed him, oddly enough, though he was slightly relieved. The first to join him was Youka, with Klide and Keyala a bit behind. ‘A wise decision.’ The warden thought as he waited for his companions to meet up with him, his hands folded behind his back, legs a bit apart and a straight back, silently humming a tune in his mind. [break][break] As his companions finally arrive Keyala felt a sudden urge to continue where they had left off, softly tapping the wolfhair’s head with her staff, asking youka for some training, leaving Bailin cursing inside and giving Klide a glance filled with annoyance. Taking a deep breath the warden spoke out, harsh, loud and not even bothering to temper his annoyance: “Enough. We are here to train you two into something more than mere bumbling fools.” He spoke cold and very, very annoyed, feeling as if there were two children of roughly the age of six in front of him, rather than people whom were willing to do something useful with their chance at another life. [break][break] “Your first assignment will be to hunt down five slimes. As you are both so eager to fight, this should not pose as a problem.” The warden stated, coldly, hinting that any objections would be very, very unwise and ignoring Keyala’s remark about him having little to no problems with it. “As you two have been bickering about as little children you shall work together, as a team.” He continued, giving the instructions for his lesson. “Failure will result in death, shame and the loss of memories, so take heed.” Softening his expression from stern, cold and harsh and letting a little bit of warmth into his voice he continued: “Well then, because Klide will most likely scold me later for presuming you two can actually match your confidence with your skills, a few words of advice: Keyala, you are a summoner, meaning you shall be required to summon your companion and have it function as the tank, you yourself shall function as support for both your summon as well as for Youka. Youka, as assassin you are meant to deal massive damage, but mind your timing. You will draw too much attention to yourself if you are off too much.” Bailin spoke calmly, as if he was a strict schoolteacher, telling his pupils how to pass their test. [break][break] “Now then, Keyala you will have a second role to fulfil: situational awareness. This is a role for you because you are not in the midst of battle but a tad outside of it. As a result you will have oversight, meaning you are able to see how well the fight is going, if there are more enemies trying to sneak up on either of you. The rest of the job description is for you to figure out. Perhaps that Klide has some more advice for you two, but I have spoken too much already. Prove me wrong and we’ll see each other here, prove me right and we’ll have to pick you up from the cathedral.” The warden concluded, the warmth leaving his face and voice once again as he slung his riffle from his back and pulled back the lever, placing a bullet in the chamber. As Youka followed behind Bailin she ignored everything else but following him. By everything she meant Klide and Keyala who were following close behind and clearly having a conversation. Youka was completely silent on the way to wherever they were walking to. Silent as in not speaking and also silent in her mind, er rather her mind was empty of thoughts because she preferred to not think when it was silent around her. In all honesty the only times she ever found peace of mind or even happiness were when it was completely around and inside of her. In the game and the real world. Youka was drawn out of her reverie when she felt a light tap on the back of her head. She turned around very quickly and hissed at Keyala once she saw that Keyala had to attack her. Youka didn't know what she wanted to say when she heard Keyala start speaking she opted to stay silent no matter how much she wanted to snap and yell at Keyala. But the words just wouldn't come to mind. Youka vaguely heard Keyala challenge her to a fight not so subtly. She rolled her eyes and turned away from Keyala before saying, " As if! I have no interest in fighting someone I can't go head to head with in a battle of the blades. Thanks but no thanks," she said before adding sarcastically ," honey. " Just then she started walking again. She wanted to get closer to Bailin. She didn't like him one bit but she knew that he was clearly the calmest person in the group. Youka stopped in front of Bailin and looked at him waiting for him to speak. Almost as if he was on que Bailin objected to Keyala's challenge against me in a very annoyed tone, "Enough. We are here to train you two into something more than mere bumbling fools." She looked up to Bailin with a slight smirk. He had saved her from going through the trouble of fighting Keyala. Youka was slightly pleased with the outcome. This would be in her favor. Go Bailin's patience to being destroyed. Though that probably wouldnn't be very good later on but it was now and not later. That was a problem for future Youka. Youka stared at Bailin waiting for his next instructions considering he was the one who seemed to be in charge. She didn't have a problem with authority so she'd probably end up following his orders well. Youka had never been much a rebel even after he life changed so drastically for the second time in her life. Which was probably a little odd considering her father was a drunken piece of abusive crap at the time which should've changed her view on authority since fathers were generally the authority in a young girl's life. Youka was pulled out of her musings when she heard Bailin start speaking. She caught the gist of his orders. Work with Keyala as a team and time her atttacks at the right moment. The situation and idea of teaming with Keyala weren't very ideal but orders were orders. Would she be able to trust Keyala to do her job? How am I supposed to know that Keyala won't just try to fight me instead? Ugh, so many doubts but it's not like Keyala or anyone has earned her trust at all. Youka pouted slightly and said with an annoyed tone, " Fine. I'll make sure to keep up my end though I can't anything about Miss Kid over here." She pointed at Keyala in reference to the kid comment. Youka took a few steps past Bailin and looked around studying her surroundings. They were just outside of town and the no fighting zone but not far enough where monsters would be inclined to attack randomly. In the distance maybe about fifty feet away there was a forest. That's where the slimes were. Youka sighed inwardly. This was going to be fun. In all sarcastic sense of the word. She wasn't that skilled at fighting all that much in this world. In the real world she could easily hold her own in a fight and because of that had gone to jail for starting one too many fights. They were all more or less random fights and the occasional drunken bar fights. There was also one fight where she had to break someone's arm to keep from getting rape. Youka forced herself to stop thinking about the real world as she made her weapons appear with the menu. She would need her weapons and armor in order to fight the monsters in the first place. In her usual lolita style clothes' place appeared her standard leather ninja armor. She would miss her pretty clothes. In her left hand she held a starter kunai knife and in the right a katana appeared in her hand. She didn't generally fight with both of them at once since she couldn't dual wield but she liked to have them both in her hands because it made her feel safe. Which wasn't really a feeling she had felt since childhood when her mom was still alive and everything was perfect. Youka walked a few more steps in the general direction to the forest before turning around and cocking her to the side. " You guys coming or am I kicking some ass by myself? I don't mind and I prefer it that way but I kinda expected help since coming here and all. It's every day that others see me in my favorite place to be. Well...kind of. " That thing was the first and closest thing to nice that she had said to anyone all day. It didn't have any sarcasm in it nor was it aggressive. That was probably the only thing like that the others would ever hear from her. Youka stood in place and waited for answers or anything along those lines. Klide had been listening to Keyala explain her phraseology. She told him that he seemed to be looking at things the wrong way, which he disagreed with, but stayed silent about. She explained that if he was ALL nice, it would be annoying, but that he had shown her something special by staying his blade when Youka provoked him. She told him that she too had a different side, and then finished with saying that once they left town she would fight Youka because she generally did not take kindly to people who were rude to her friends. She followed by grossly over estimating her abilities as a level one. "Listen Keyala, I guess this is a chance to show you a not so nice side. I honestly do not care if you need my word to let you fight Youka, you are not getting it. And as for Bailin, he is my friend and equal, and it would be completely up to him if he let you two fight, had I agreed to it. I do not care if your plan was to jump her or challenge her, until you can prove any proficiency in fighting at all, you are not fighting jack $hit aside from slimes." He said to her. She was being far to arrogant and regardless of what she thought she could do Klide was not about to condone her fighting the other one. She was already several paces away from Klide, smirking. She gives him a small wink as she pulled her staff from its place on her back. She shouted at the Wolf tail to get her attention and Klide gave a look of both disapproval and disbelief. She tapped the back of the wolf hair girls head with her stave, though it did not appear to be a hard hit. She gave a little speech to instigate the fight and then turned towards Bailin and said something Klide could not hear. Regardless of what she had said, Klide received a sharp glance that seemed to be filled to the brim with irritation. Klide could hear the deep breath the his vexed friend took before speaking, quite loudly. He sounded about as apposed to the fight between the two girl as Klide had, though he showed far more of the frustration. Bailin soon continued by ignoring Keyala's cocky remarks and, from what Klide could hear at his distance, giving them an assignment to hunt slimes so as to train them. He stepped closer and caught Bailin saying "Well then, because Klide will most likely scold me later for presuming you two can actually match your confidence with your skills, a few words of advice: Keyala, you are a summoner, meaning you shall be required to summon your companion and have it function as the tank, you yourself shall function as support for both your summon as well as for Youka. Youka, as assassin you are meant to deal massive damage, but mind your timing. You will draw too much attention to yourself if you are off too much.” Bailin spoke with a calm tone now, but he had an air of strictness around him. He left off by leaving an opening for Klide, who had just rejoined the group, to say any last bits of advice. "Nope, I have no advice to give. You two have heads so big with haughtiness that I am amazed you are still standing upright. Now go, Fight the slimes and maybe along the way, try acting with some humility. Believe me, it is usually seen as far more honorable than arrogance." He turned to Keyala specifically. "And as future leader I am certain that a degree of honor would be expected of you, would you not agree?" He said with a hint of malice. As Youka walked ahead and turned to ask if the others would be coming along or "am I kicking some ass by myself?" Klide stopped walking forward and stood very still. He made a visibly angered look at Youka and began to speak. "No, we will not be coming along. Keyala is your only ally now." He stood still and waited for the girls to begin their task. If Bailin tried to advance (which Klide suspected that he would not, given his previous annoyance) He would reach out and grab his arm, holding him back. regardless of whether Bailin tried to follow the girls or not, Klide turned towards his warden companion and said "Listen, I do not know what Keyala said to you that would make you give me such a look, but I suspect it was something along the lines of me approving her fighting Youka. I did not approve it. In fact, I spoke out against it and she ignored me. Those two are actually very similar it seems, both far too cocky for their levels. If you want, we can follow them from a long distance so they do not know we are their, but so we can step in if it absolutely necessary." With those words, Klide took a shallow breath and waited for his partners thoughts. Word Count: 858 Total Word Count: 11927+858=12785 Tags: Bailin , Keyala , Youka
