I've thought this a couple of times in the past, but Bailin here has vocalised it much better then I could have. Heheh
Details are to be discussed, at the moment I'm just gaudging interest for an RP event. It will be largely ran by the players; just keep in mind two things;
Minimun level of adventurers should be 30: It's been over a year since we were wisked into this world, so unless your adventurer has been particlarly lazy during this time all participants will be treated as level 30 as the baseline. People who are stronger then this; naturally maintain their own level. Think of it as a little springboard to keep people kind of relivent.
There will be some things that we encounter that will be difficult for lower levels to kill; and some things that even the strongest players on the Server can't hope to kill. In those instances I may use my Mod Account to narrate the general actions of the creatures. E.g. People can and will die. Though for most part the narrative belongs to the writers of this forum!
Here you go, note interest below.

I will be participating, and I has an idea to present. I was thinking, and large adventures generally have carts and stuff. And while we have inventories, we could also bring a Wagon both for carrying people as well as any weapons or large quantities of food we want readily available. Tobin is an animal trainer, so animals to pull the wagon should be of no issue. Also, it gives us a place to rest during the long treck, if the weather is not favorable outside. Some wagons were known to have a lesser kitchen in them, with a small stove. Conveniences for the trek. I think that over all, it would be benefitial to us to have something like that (maybe not the kitchen bit, that's just a bonus). If some of us were to throw in cash for it (or if we have a woodcrafter with us, in which case we may get a discount). If it is completely necessary, I can fund the wagon, though I would prefer if the price were split between a few of us. (maybe the ones with the most money, provided that they aren't saving it for something important to them) Anyway, I'm coming, and I think we should bring a cart. That is all -Nyan~<3 Note: In This link Tobin can be seen by the fire, and so this applies to our adventure pretty well, even though it was a picture that just happened to catch my eye on google.... Destiny!

Please please please, I'll even cash in my AP before we head out, and some of Bailin's suggestions could even help people raise subclass levels

I wanted to try and add a bit of detail to the items in Bailin's list... Hopefully I cover most of what needs covering. - Cart: Already made my point for this in this post
- Fishing goods:
- Hooks
- Fishing Poles
- Fishing Line
- Nets
Healing Potions: Someone should go to a Pharmacist and get a LOT of health potions. Unexplored territory, we'll need it. OR, hopefully Capsule will make a bunch for us. - Tools:
- Ax
- Rope: Several dozen meters recommended.
- Cooking tools:
- Pot
- Pan
- Iron tripod: Holding a pot or kettle over a fire
- Knife: Cooking and other stuffs
- Hammer/Nails: any repairs we may have
- Traps: for when we run out of meat
- Candles/Lanterns
[/ul]
- Food: A necessity for life, and a luxury when someone who can actually cook prepares it. I recommmend we bring as follows:
- Ale/Beer: several gallons for the nice nights by a campfire when we need to let loose and have a good time. (Barrels for holding liquor, and Faucets for pouring it would be nice)
- Food: food in general
- Water:...I almost forgot that one. (Several gallons of this too)
[/ul]
- Paper Goods
- Map
- Contracts/'permission papers'
- Lore (books and such)
[/ul]
- Weapons
- I'm certain you all use different types of weapons, so get what you need, but use an improved version if you can. DO NOT go into this with a started rapier thinking you will survive for more than a minute without the weapon breaking, even if it doesn't break, it will do almost no damage.
- @blazeedge is a blacksmith, but cannot craft during the trip, unless he were to have a portable forge (not sure that exists), or if we were to bring a bunch of bricks in a box and build a temporary forge at camp when we need it.
- Note: I am currently in a crafting thread, and after it, I will be a level 20+ blacksmith. I can make weapons for you, but I am no expert craftsman, and none of my weapons will be higher than my crafting level. I will also expect payment for anything I craft. (Though I don't know how to calculate that yet...)
- Random Goods:
- Whistle
- Tradeable Goods
- Crates and Barrels
- Cloth Goods/Armor: We are not going to Scotland naked, sorry to break it to you
- Tents
- Bedrolls
- Armor
[/ul]
So Yeah, we need stuff. We should organize teams and have people get what we need. I plan on getting a Cloak, a new Sword, and 2 armors (a heavy and light, just personal preferance, probably isn't recommended to have two different armors.) at some point, And I discussed with Bailin and we will handle getting the Wagon.
That Leaves (v) for everyone to split evenly amongst themselves- Potions
- Fishing Goods
- Tools
- Food
- Paper Goods
- Random Goods
- Weapons: This one should be handled by each individual separately. Get new gear if you think you need it.
- Cloth Goods/Armor Take care of your own armor just like the weapons. I think getting tents will require a tailor as well.
As Icy pointed out, we also need to establish jobs. I was actually also thinking about this, but to do during the thread. The jobs to fill (that I can think of off the top of my head) (Note: The ones with a "(+/-)" are optional and not necessary, these are just ideas. The ones without "(+/-)" are ones I feel we would have a lot more trouble doing without.)
- Night watch
- Scout
- (+/-)Negotiator
- (+/-)Gatherer: wood for the fire and such
- (+/-)Record Keeper: Mapping out/Writing about the daily events of the trek
- (+/-)Cook
- (+/-)Trapper/Hunter
- (+/-)Groom: Probably one of the Animal Trainers, as this is a person who works with the pack animals.
- (+/-)Stevedore:Someone who loads and unloads gear/goods

While the intensity of studying in Asia leaves me unable to join, I would just like to throw in a few pointers after skimming through this. Hopefully I don't accidentally point out something already there.
Capsule should be able to handle all of your potion needs. I can make most of the potions on the list, but you'll need to tell me on cBox.
Suggestions: First and foremost, whistles which call animals to pull the carts/wagons. Even if you have a bunch of Animal Trainers, you'll still need some of these since People of the Land may freak out if they, say, see a giant centipede pulling the cart. The whistle should be craftable by Woodcrafters, Blacksmiths, or Artisans, if my memory which would put a goldfish to shame is correct. Not really a compulsory thing, in my opinion, but go for it if you have spare cash. Also doesn't hurt to have a few additional mounts for covering ground more quickly.
Following that is duty rosters. More of an IC thing, because in reality, you aren't going to miraculously find volunteers to scout ahead and do guard duty (Pathfinders make good scouts and can spot monsters at a greater distance than the average Adventurer). If you really want to grind this for AP, you may want to have a thread where people meet up and iron out these issues and get to logistics while you're at it. It also pays to know who to turn to when you want to negotiate things with a village elder, or passing trader (unless the entire group is made up of extremely outspoken individuals). Also, it may be worthwhile to convince Capsule to research caffeine or something along those lines for your night duty folks.
Next, building upon Bailin's point on gifts, I would actually suggest tradeable goods, rather than gifts. Gifts out of nowhere may make people suspicious. Take something that looks to be (or is) of value instead. Perhaps an Artisan could make some?
Also, if you want to be really picky, you need crates and barrels to hold the food and water. Guess we all know what you're going to do with those barrels, eh?
While we're on the topic of being picky, it's quite unlikely you'll have permission papers before even getting there. Also, select people to search up Scotland in libraries and roam Londinium for anyone who knows anything about Scotland. More AP ripe for the picking.
Didn't see tents mentioned anywhere. Going to assume you plan on sleeping under the stars. Better hope it doesn't rain.
Last but not least, remember that when the going gets tough, the tough get going in the opposite direction. I mean, remember to bring your gold for the trading parts so you can keep yourself stocked.
...Guess I'd better go back to doing past year papers (which is my homework).

I haven't been in much today; been at a dog agility show. The enfuisasium is great! Just a couple of pointers:
All those suggestions are nice and adventurers should think of what they can bring to the expandition, just keep it from getting too complicated. I trust other roleplayers to know what their characters can and can't do. Our primarily goal is to find out what is actually there. Not really my intention to micromanage players as such in that sense.
Likewise, multiple threads would cover this. Probably one thread for camping banter, the rest would mainly be focused on exploartion of particlar areas. And believe me theres a lot up north; Lune is kind sits off to the side at the half way point of England.

So... in short: If it is possible a sub-forum for the Scotland expedition is to be made (to keep things more or less organised). In said forum there will be several minor subthreads/quests for the gathering, crafting and researching of materials needed for the expedition, as well as one for the actual expedition (once a certain amount of things has been procured). Perhaps this would be a good time to do a roll call and see who's up for it... :D, I will tag people who've shown an interest and keep that list up to date as best I can. Edit: We could also use an introductory thread (commonly known as: how and why the .... did we set out on the expedition in the first place) Roster: Bailin@blazeedge KeyalaIcyfernoTobinCapsuleMikoto@dumah VerinRosalie RosenkranzFranny SteinMyrddin@eleri Raina.... More to come I hope.

Yes, I am still interested.
Also, any potions I make out of my own pocket will be made with personal discretion. I have no idea what absurd number Klide has in mind when he said a LOT, but four (level thirty) medicinal tablets w/ Therapeutic Index per person seems fair enough. Level 60 tablets for Tobin, since his level is much higher. Manage what you can get, to avoid popping pots like Vicodin.

I'm interested and while my character probably can't do a lot in the supplies department jobs were mentioned I think my character would do well as Night Watch, Scout, or Gatherer for the group. Scout might be the best though due tom Acrobat Sub-Class allowing me to get high places.

I'd like to express interest if there's still room. Perhaps as camp personnel if my level's too low. Skeletons can do all the heavy lifting and I can repair things with the oh-so-common subclass of blacksmith.

Hey, I'm in. Can't keep ol' Mryddin from exploring new places.
A little info on him; Myrddin is a cripple. So when the game became real he has been teaching himself how to walk again. He is still shaky but is able short bursts of mediocre speed before his legs give out. Ergo, he may need to ride in the cart more than most others in the group. Hope no one breaks his legs over it.
He's also not that great in crafting yet (mainly because I'm slow on that and have been deployed for six months).
Anyway, I'm looking forward to this and would love to help in any way I can. Also, I will be updating his gear from the starter. I've been procrastinating that for a while now.
