Well, he did it.
He didn't think it was possible, but there it was, official insignia of authorization and everything right there on the parchment.
Without another thought, Oxford rolled up the deed and tucked it inside his rucksack, where it would be deposited into his inventory (hopefully). With a wave of his hand, he brought up the game's overlay, taking a look at his funds to see how much his most recent transaction had cost him.
"Oh wow. That hardly made a dent in my pocket at all," he mused to himself. "I think I might have enough gold left over to purchase some housing."
With another sweep of his hand, the overlay disappeared. As he stood in the bustling city, he dug inside his rucksack again, pulling out a small stack of parchment with various recruitment messages for his newly created guild. Thus the reason for his visit to the Parliament Building.
Along with the papers, something else came out of the rucksack. Something with four legs, big brown eyes and a penchant for off-hand remarks. The briar weasel clambered on up to the Guardian's shoulder, peeking at the text on the stack of papers. On it was information about the guild, it's purpose, and future plans, but of course, it was all in nice, condensed sentences. A true friend to all the tl;dr folks who couldn't be bothered with massive amounts of text that may or may not pertain to them.
"Oi boss, wut's dis all 'bout? Wut happened to that otha place?" chittered Omo, the Tongue of Nature skill translating everything he said in that weird, deep Scottish accent of his.
"Oh, that. Well...everyone seemed to have disappeared, so I figured I'd start up one of my own. Plus, people are starting to do the new weapon questline, so I'd like to have a good group to run with."
The circumstances of his last guild's disappearance was a sad and disheartening one, but nothing he was going to waste time moping about. Things like this happened in the server already, so it shouldn't be surprising that his guild ended up getting hit by it as well.
Grabbing half the stack of papers he shoved them in the briar weasel's mouth, resulting in Omo making weird grunting noises. "No more questions. Here, be useful for once and go scatter them around downtown Londinium or something."
Omo gave the Guardian a "I'm-gonna-bite-your-ear-off-one-of-these-days" look before scampering off down a well-crowded path. Luckily, it was breezy today, so the papers drifted magnificently through the town.
Hmm, I'll have to remember to pick those up, he thought to himself as he began to affix his stack of recruitment flyers to various bulleting boards and advertising spaces.

It had been some time since Johto had left the sanctuary of Londinium. Ever since Unova and Kalos disappeared without a trace, she had spent most of her time either alone or with Hoenn. Not that this was much different than usual, but with the situation regarding her other two friends, she had found herself in quite a melancholy state. She remembered the battle with the boar well enough, and a few other adventures with her newfound friends, but everything else just seemed to kind of run together. Hoenn had remained the one constant so far, however, and that made things a little easier for her.
Living this new life in what she first thought was a simple video game was quite puzzling. She hadn't done much in terms of progressing her levels in any of her classes, and many aspects of how things worked regarding that still intact RPG system were still over her head. She wasn't used to managing stats in video games, much less in what was apparently her life now. Especially when they literally affected her. It was all such a bother, and she wanted so badly to just go back home to the real world. She had managed thus far, however, and she intended to stick it out for at least a little longer. For the sake of her friends and herself. She still needed to find Unova and Kalos. She hoped they were okay; that they were at least making it in this strange world.
Much like most days, Johto currently wandered the streets near the center of town, the Guild Hall just to the North of her current location under a large oak tree. The shade provided by the tree was a nice reprieve from the bright sun and heat. She watched adventurers and Landers walk through the large square, hearing the occasional sounds of someone respawning in the Cathedral not far away. Death in this world was something she was becoming accustomed to. Having faced her first defeat at the hands of the boar she had helped fight on that first of many days in this world. Following that, she met a few more...more than she often liked to think about. It no longer frightened her as it had the first few times, and she had learned to take it as a change to better herself. Or as a sign that she should just stay in town. Mostly the latter.
As she watched from her spot under the tree, she noticed something small dart past, not far from where she sat. As she trained her eyes on it, she realized it was a weasel of sorts, a stack of papers held tightly in its jaw. A few of the papers broke free of the stack and flittered across the stone streets, some catching in the light breeze and blowing loftily through the air. One landed at her feet and she reached for it, inspecting the print with curiosity. It appeared to be a recruitment flyer for a newly formed guild. The description seemed pleasing to her: an easy-going guild for those who simply wanted to live their lives in this world while helping others achieve those same ends. It piqued her interested, to say the least, and she quickly jumped up, immediately missing the shade of her tree as she stepped out into the sun, and made her way towards the nearest inn.
I should show this to Hoenn. Maybe it'll be a good way to find Unova and Kalos.

A small lump shifted ever so slightly beneath the blanket spread across the rickety bed. Warm rays of noon time sun shone through the window panel, casting ever brightening lines across the room. Small particles of dust drifted about, becoming visible in the streams of light before vanishing once they passed through it. A small hand slipped out from under the sheets, reaching and grabbing for something blindly. After a moment of randomly groping at the bed, the searching fingers brushed against the fabric of pillow and immediately gripped it tightly, dragging it under the sheet in one quick motion. The lump shifted again followed by a content, drawn out sigh - presumably whatever was under the blanket was quite comfortable. A few quiet moments passed... but then the sheets were suddenly thrown aside, the pillow bounced lightly off the wall and landed back on the bed with a little plop. With the blankets gone, it was now clear there was a girl laying there, her blue eyes partly closed to block the bright sun, her short brown hair a mess atop her head. She yawned widely and stretched exaggeratedly before sitting up. Her tongue flicked across her lips as she smacked them together, clearly half awake and definitely thirsty as she glanced around the room, her mind catching up to sleep with the fact that she was no awake. Slowly her eye lids opened wider and her expression became more alert. She tugged her fingers through her hair, fluffing and straightening it out. With the back of her hand, she rubbed her eyes and yawned once more before standing, ready to start her day... at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Guided by her stomach, which was protesting the lack of recent food, the girl made her way out of the Inn she had rented for the previous evening and onto the busy streets of Londinium. Her nose was filled with all the various smells and aromas of her potential meal selections and she took a moment to take in a deep breath. It all smelled so delicious, her eyes lit up with excitement as each flavors smell registered and enticed her. One particular scent rose to the top among the rest and she headed off towards it, her lips parted in anticipation. It wouldn't be surprising if a small droplet of drool had begun to form in the corner of her mouth. Weaving in and out of the other various Adventures and Landers in her way, she quickly arrived at the food stall that had called to her... they were selling cheeseburgers here. After waiting in line for a brief moment, she exchanged her money for the food item. Gripping it tightly in both hands, she inhaled deeply. “ Mmm~” Her voice flowed out in a sing-song tone as she spun around on the ball of her foot. After completely a full circle of excitement, she planted both feet firmly on the ground and took a large chomp out of the sandwich. She chewed it slowly as she walked, heading in no direction in particular. There wasn't anything worth thinking about other than her meal right now. Despite this thought, something did manage to catch her attention. Not too far from the food stalls, a man was affixing pieces of paper to an announcement board. Knowing her money was depleting faster than she was earning it, she walked over. She popped the last bite of her burger into her mouth and chewed it carefully as she approached the board. The man, who was wearing some sort of armor, had just finishing attaching the paper and was turning to leave when she arrived. Right across the top were the words “Guild Recruitment” in bold print, followed by a description and outline, written neatly and clearly. Her sapphire eyes quickly scanned the paper over before she reached out and ripped it off the board. One corner of the paper tore off and remained stubbornly attached to the board. “ Is this your guild?” She called out to the man, turning to face his retreating back, and waving the paper around in the air. “ I'll join, sounds fun.” She decided quickly, figuring it might be a good way to make some extra money or perhaps provide her with a nicer place to stay than the Inn. “ My name is Hoenn, nice to meet you,” She smiled widely and extended her hand, the one not holding the flyer, of course. If she was allowed to join the guild, she would need to contact her other friends and get them to join, too. She assumed there would be some sort of initiation to prove she was up to the task but the challenge only piqued her interest more, making her more anxious to hear the reply. -- Notes: I hope it's okay to just run straight into Oxford like that. If not, let me know and I can change the last paragraph so she just finds the flyer and not him. Words: 799 Tags: @0x1dea, @blazeedge, Shizu, Verin, @johto

The sight of a monster running straight at him caused Verin to draw his sword and was about slash the small brown weasel in two when he noticed that it was dispersing fliers. Stopping the sword halfway Verin quickly retracted his weapon and let the weasel pass by him as Verin side stepped and grabbed one of the fliers on the ground. On the top of the sheet Verin noticed the word Halcyon and a block of text followed after it.
Usually a person is often afraid of reading blocks of text like what was on the flier, but to Verin who read too many books the text on the flier was nothing. Finishing it within five minutes Verin realized it was a flier for a new neutral guild called Halcyon and it acted like much like the previous guild Verin was once a part of. The guild was split up into three parts which were called Dreadnought, Crusader, and Observer. Dreadnought was the fighting force of the guild and would often be taking on raids and bosses while also exploring new land to increase the guilds knowledge of the land, they were mostly the fighting force of the guild while also being the part that covered diplomacy and was the group that most interested in. Crusaders were the scouts and would gather information so the Dreadnaughts were ready to fight and most likely also set up the meetings for the Dreadnaughts. If the Dreadnaughts were the muscle then the Observers were the brains and would support the Dreadnaughts by making items to give the Dreadnaughts the upper hand during a raid and if said raid dropped unidentified items the Observers would be in charge of researching it. Also the guild founder was named Oxford and was someone Verin knew as he had helped Verin with an experiment in the past. Thinking about it Verin decided that a guild wasn’t a bad idea and thus started to follow the trail of fliers with a smile on his face.

Shizu was still trying to adapt to her new appearance. She managed to find some clothes that fit her new body better, but it was still odd having to move in a body that was much shorter than she was used to. She still cursed herself for mistakingly using that potion on herself, she could still be taken seriously were it not for that one night in Grain Village. She was now back in Londonium and trying to make herself a nice place to stay. She had been wanting one for a long time now, but her recent issue with becoming small made it even more desirable for her. She decided that she would start out her days how she usually did, by roaming around aimlessly and eating food. She wondered what kind of food was good for a child to eat. She normally just ate whatever she felt like when she was older, but yet she didn't want to harm her own development by eating something especially bad. She never really acted like a child much in the real world, due to her bone condition, so it was hard for her to try and determine what was good and bad. She eventually decided that she would try and get some pancakes as usual. When she went into the restaurant it didn't help her ego much. She couldn't really see the counter, so she had to lightly jump to try and make eye contact with the Lander working the register. She eventually managed to get her order it, but she couldn't really eat as much as her old self would. This greatly discouraged her as she felt that she was really just wasting a ton of money. Once she finished her breakfast, she went back about to aimlessly roam around town for awhile. She eventually looked to the center of town and saw a peculiar sight. There seemed to be a bunch of people convening around one bullitin board, which kind of confused her. She walked over to the board and saw what they were staring at, a flyer for some kind of guild recruitment propoganda. She had to admit that the idea of a guild enticed her. The ability to be around other people and do exactly what they say in exchange for housing and support seemed like a very good idea. She managed to stand on her tippy toes to grab one of the fliers. She held the flyer in her hand and looked to see the person whom was responsible for putting them there. He seemed to be a higher level player who was wearing some heavy armor, so her first instinct was a guardian. She lightly poked what she could reach, which ended up being his leg. When he was looking at her, she didn't even manage to get out a word, only blush. In response to this she looked away and tried to hide it, while holding the flier so he can see it and understand her meaning. She wanted to join the guild. Ah, jeez...I should've brought a hammer.
Never in his life would Oxford had found a bulletin board intimidating. And yet here he was, a lone player standing in front of a board with no means to affix his flyers. He couldn't help but envy the players who had managed to find ways to get their papers and ads attached to the public repository.
I don't think they'll mind if I do this.
With great difficulty, he managed to pull some of the nails that held a couple flyers in place. He congratulated himself on the inside at his quick thinking, but simultaneously chatised himself for forgetting such a basic set of supplies. Removing one of the flyers from his stack he held it up to the board, aligning one of his ill-gotten nails up to it...and suddenly realized that he didn't have a hammer.
In his frustration at his own absent-mindedness, he slammed a closed fist on the board, but with a bit more force than he anticipated. The good that came out of the action was that he didn't have to worry about getting the nails in the bulletin board to pin them up. The bad news, however, was that another hit like that, and he wouldn't have to worry about a board.
Yeah, I should go find those supplies after this...
After lightly tapping the other nail into the board (for fear of busting it down completely), he quickly tucked his papers underneath his arm. Just as he turned to head back towards the market square, he heard a voice call out to him. The sudden outburst caused him to start, nearly losing his stack of papers to the wind. He turned around to see a brown-haired, blue-eyed Elf girl waving the guild flyer he'd just gone to great lengths to put up.
"Awesome, those fliers are working already," he said to himself as he walked over to the Adventurer. He listened to her introduction, taking her hand and gave it a firm shake. "Nice to meet you as well. The name's Oxford. Still trying to get some of the prep work done, but I think I should be able to send you an invite."
With a wave of his hand, he found what he needed under the 'Guild' menu, sending Hoenn an invite to his newly formed group. As soon as that was finished he felt something, or someone, touch hi--oh wait, it was just Omo. The briar weasel scampered up his leg and onto his shoulder.
"Boss! You got any more o' dose fliers? That was a mess o' fun, jes scatterin' 'em everywhere!" he chittered, bobbing up and down in excitement. With an exasperated sigh, he handed another small stack to him, the weasel bolted off as soon as he got his payload.
"Make sure you go down a different street this time!" he hollered after him, already seeing a tiny shower of paper as Omo ran down the street.
As Oxford turned back, he felt a small touch on his leg. He almost didn't recognize it, wondering why Omo was back already.
"Omo, did you scatter those fliers alread--Oh."
As he looked down, he saw that it was not his pet, but in fact a short, cute little blonde girl, handing one of his fliers towards him. He knelt down to one knee, gently taking the flier from her as he did so. He put on a friendly smile, as she appeared to be nervous around him.
"Why, thank you, young lady. Are you looking to join the guild too?"
As he viewed her response (and taking it to mean a 'yes'), he pulled up the menu again, sending her a guild invite as well. Once he felt that the young lass before him was no longer in distress, he stood up again, unsure what to do now.
"Welp, I don't have anything in the way of a guild house set up yet, so if you two would be so gracious to give me a couple of minutes, I can go purchase suitable accomodation."
