The city grew a bit silent as night fell, the rising of the moon leading to the masses of citizens and Adventurers leaving the streets and returning to their homes. The streets were not completely empty as several Adventurers and People of The Land alike continued to roam the large streets of Londinium. The city was no longer lit by the sun, but now by primitive eighteenth century street lights and magic lights supplied by roaming spell casters. The Cathedral was almost silent, save for the occasional Adventurer raised from the dead. It was not extremely late, but people still were less active than they tended to be during the earlier hours when the sun supplied every living being with vigor and liveliness. The night came to about eight PM, and a meeting was called in Noihara's guildhall. Dumah had been sitting in the guild's meeting room, waiting for his guild's members to attend. Thirty minutes passed, and all who were available had come. Dumah had hoped more would show, but perhaps they were simply busy with something. That was likely the case... Or in the case of some, perhaps they were already asleep... Some of the attendants grew impatient, and the guild's barkeep spoke up. "Hey Dumah, what exactly is this meetin' for?" "Well, as of late I have noticed a bit of a decline in direction for Noihara. I founded this guild because I wanted to make a place for myself and others that we could all call our home and family. However, I have never asked you all what your goals are, or what you all hope to achieve through joining Noihara. As a leader, it is ridiculous that I would forget to ask such an important question, and so now I wish to get everyone's input regarding what you all want." The guild master spoke so seriously and formally, it was almost a bit difficult to answer his question. The barkeep spoke once again. "What we want...? Look pal, I'm barely a member. I just make you guys' meals and drinks and-" The Person of The Land stopped suddenly as he noticed Sark's large sword propped up against the table. He clenched his fist and his whole body shook slightly as he spoke through clenched teeth. "God dammit, Sark, if you don't stop proppin' that god forsaken hunk of metal against furniture then so help me god-" He was cut off as he remembered he was in the middle of a meeting. He took a moment to regain his composure, clearing his throat to start over. "Look, Dumah, you're my pal, and an old one at that. I'm not an Adventurer like you guys, so I doubt my input on what we wanna do is worth much. I'm fine just bein' with you guys, so as long as you don't go and do something stupid like slaughter an entire village of People of The Land, like a certain, infamous Cavalier everyone's heard of... then I'm happy with whatever becomes of Noihara. Like Dumah said, you guys are all family. I'm here to stay and support you all, even if some of you piss me the hell off..." He ended his speech with an angry glare in Sark's direction. - Words: 542 - - Total: 542 - Tags: @kurosan @bornfromvelvet Keyala @blazeedge Lamenta Noctis Corvo Sark sayinh sotarou Note: There is no posting order in this thread. Kuro was, as usual, wandering around the city of London when he got a message from Dumah, informing him that there will be a meeting soon in the Cathedral. (What could he want to talk about this ... "late-ish" in the night. I think most people will be in bed by that time... well.... I could always be wrong) Afterwards he planned a rute towards the Cathedral, but unlike any other normal human being, Kuro's rute was mostly directed on the roofs and walls of tall-ish buildings. It wasn't even that much faster, but he simply enjoyed the "thrill" of jumping high above ground. At the meeting, there were more people than he expected, but still not everyone. Kuro leaned on a wall near the corner of the room. From there he had a good view of the room, everyone in it and at the doors to know who's coming/leaving. After few more minutes Dumah stated why he called them all there. After he finished the barkeep said something in the way: that he isn't such a big part of the guild and that he is alright with whatever the guild decides to do. "Hmmm.." (I have acctualy never thought much of this.) When Kuro saw nobody was saying anything after the barkeep finished, he decided that it was his turn to speak. "I... I didn't really think about this, but now that you mention it, I think that we should simply help people, who can't help themselves. As clishé as that sounds, I have no idea what else to aspire this guild to be, other than showing people the best what we can do or can be." He thought for second and then added: "Or show the worst what we can be to whoever would, witout reason, destroy or hurt the weak or innocent...." He ralized how much he sounded like some comic-book hero and started blushing a little-bit. Luckily it could not be seen (at least he thought so) under his hood and scarf. "I know it... sounds... child-ish..." He wanted to justify it, but he rather stopped talking so he wouldn't sound like a complete fool. ____________________________________________________________ [Word count: 360 Tags: @dumah @bornfromvelvet Keyala @blazeedge Lamenta Noctis Corvo Sark sayinh sotarou ]

Lamenta was strolling around the city aimlessly with no particular direction, he even wondering why he decide to take a walk in the middle of night bathe with a moonlight which rose highly above his head, when his newly joined guild leader, Dumah Iino, throw him a message about a sort of meeting.
'A meeting huh? at the middle of night at the top of that. Sure, not like i am planning to sleep to begin with.' He tap his chin with his flute thinking 'let see..Where is Noihara HQ again...Ah yeah the cathedral' he skip a bit while playing his flute in a low tone
When he enter the room, he saw a samurai and assassin, they are his new guild mate he assume, he also notice a barkeeper in the room. Apparently, the current topic of this meeting was ' what is our goal by joining Noihara or is there anything i can achieve by joining Noihara'
To be frank, he is not sure why he join this particular guild or wether he has something to achieve for. Well, he could say he can observe how guild works so he can make one in the future.. However, to achieve that he can just by observe it not joining one. So what exactly his reason to join this guild?
He took a sit to the nearest chair and cleared his throat after the Assassin finished his a comic book hero speech, not that he can blame him.. this world is already like one in the comic book, it isn't that strange if he thinks like he is a hero in this world.
'Hi there, the name is Lamenta. As you can see i am a new member here. So i don't know much about Noihara, but one thing for sure, as long you stick with your main reason on why you form this guild there is no anything wrong with it. Make a home and form a family bond with others is a noble reason'
The young new member stopped for a while, if he thinks about it..he joined Noihara maybe due to his search for what he is known as home, and that idea attract him to this place now.
'For me, Noihara is a place for me to get to know many people that i hope i can count them as a friend in the future. Well you are the guild leader, as a member, we will follow you and remind you if you get to the wrong track'
That's a bit force, isn't it? Practically, he didn't give them anything new, all he did is mentioning the obvious fact that every Noiharan may know about it.

Klide had just been settling down in his moonlit tree. He had only moments prior ended his dusk hunt, and was about to nap in a large oak brand for a bit to rest and recuperate for the grander hunt that would come in a few hours, somewhere around one in the morning the monsters and beasts always seemed to be the must fun to slice and dice. Just as he shut his eyes, he received a message. His eyes slowly began to open and he thought to himself "Who in hell would message me after dusk, most people who know me know this is my time to hunt. Lets see who the damned...." His eyes shot open the rest of the way when he read the name of the one sending it. "Well... If it is from Dumah, I suppose my nap is not that important," he thought as he jumped from the branch into the field of ferocious feral fauna. As he passed some of the more cocky ones who made an attempt at him, his wrist twitched and the moon was overcast for a second in a splash of crimson. He kept on running as he reached the edge of town, using the momentum from the sprint to jump onto a closed food stand along the side of a building, and from there, onto the building itself. From there, he could see the cathedral in the distance. He vaulted onto the next building, and the one after that as well. The following building was about two meters lower than the one he was on so he dived and rolled and was on his feet again all in one smooth movement. He was now almost at the guild hall and it was then that he realized he had blood in his hair and on his hands. "Well... I can not come to answer a call like this can I?" He asked himself as he stopped on the edge of a buildings roof. He shook his head and his shoulder length hair sprayed blood onto the roof of the building, but it quickly evaporated into glowing particles, much like how the animals of this world did when they died. He jumped down and walked over to a near by fountain. Plunging his hands into the icy water, he brought up a little pool of it in his hands and splashed it over his face. The crimson mixed with water began to flow down onto the ground beneath his feet and he shook again to dry himself a little. He then wiped the rest of the water from his face and hands with a clean handkerchief he usually saved for a crying lass in need. He walked in through the front door and stepped over to his seat. A comfy leather armchair by the now dead fire. "Damn it! I told you guys I would not be the only one to keep him going." He hanged his swords on the backrest of the armchair and knelt down to blow new life into the quivering embers. After adding a few smaller logs to the fire it became a roaring blaze that could have offered light to even the darkest corners of the room on its own. He stood and turned to face the company he was in. His clothes still had many little drops of red speckled across them, but he was here for his leader and his friend, and he figured it would be better to get here fast then to worry about appearances, even if there was a new member from the looks of things. He strutted over to the barkeep and asked him for an ale before returning to his seat with the cold drink in hand. The goal of this meeting was made clear to him when he heard the answers of his fellow guild members. "I myself..." he said as he stared into the flame. His shoulder resting on the hilt of his sword. "...Am here for a few reasons. My first goal is one that our leader knows well. My second it to try to help you all become the best that you can. My third, is rather silly in some peoples perspective, but I hold it dear to me, I stood by this principle only a few weeks after we all got stuck here, and it has been what... two years since then? My third goal is tied strongly with the spirit of adventure, the need to learn and discover and explore, the want to get out there and see something no one else has seen. But I do not want to adventure just for my self. I want to see if there are any other People of the Land out there. Do you not think that we should find a way to help all the People of the Land? Think about it, if we discover a large town of them, and clear an area of mobs around them, we can add our kind to it. Then the People of the Land will be safer from wild dangers, and the merchants of this land, Person of the Land or Adventurer, will have more consumers and producers to trade with, and the masses will have far less dead to mourn. That alone would be a good enough reason to go out on a dangerous journey and traverse the unknown world around us. I know that I mentioned traders and merchants, but this is not about the money. I will save lives. I think of it as a sort of responsibility as the immortals of the land. We have that responsibility to help the people, and I intend to do everything in my power to do so. No needless deaths because grandpa went to get some wood from the forest, or because little Susie went a bit too far out to play." "There are a lot of people out there who want to lead. If I had to guess, one of you probably wants to be a leader as well, be it of a guild, or of a country, or of a small band of rogues." He said as he looked over the group of members. He assumed that Dumah would get that he did not mean him, as Dumah was already the guild master. "And although I am an Officer, I am not one of those people, not that there is anything wrong with ambitions to lead, but instead of that, I would prefer to be a silent guardian of the people. One who will stay in the shadows to save them when they need it. It is very much like a comic book hero, but is there anything wrong with that? Maybe it is not so bad for me to act a bit like a comic book character. This is a world we could never have imagined back home. We have lands all around that have never been explored before, a feeling only people three or more centuries ago got to feel. We as a majority use blades in the stead of guns, and magic potions to heal our wounds. We are immortals, gods almost, and we live among the mortals of this land as equals. I guess what I am trying to say is not that we should suddenly develop a god complex and want everyone to bow before us, nor that we should become such a force of support that the People of this land rely on us to stand, but that if this world has so many possibilities, then I see no harm in living in the shadows. Being the "Silent, unsung hero." In a way, I think I have always liked the idea." He sighed and wet his lips with his ale before continuing. "Some may argue that any help from us could lull the People of the land into a false sense of security, so it may be wiser to allow the People of the Land to protect themselves, but I will not stay my blade if I see one who needs help. I know that for the most part, when people argue that the Landers would defend themselves they mean that we should treat it like the old proverb "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a life time." but I think I will feed the man who is being taught to fish, in case something comes along that is truly dangerous to the lives of those who have only one?" "I guess my third goal for this guild is both to train the People of the Land, and to make sure they are ready for a time when we may not be here, if that time ever comes. But as long as I can, I plan on staying here along side them, leaving my shallow footprints and giving to them small things they may never notice or appreciate. I am sorry if this sounds silly and "comic book like" but I guess that is just how I am wired." With the last word his lips sealed and he looked around kind of embarrassed. His hand found its way to the back of his head as he blushed slightly and apologized for giving such a long and convoluted answer. He looked around and waited for someone else to speak so that any attention on him would shift. The feeling seemed almost unanimous: Everybody wanted to help those who could not help themselves. Kuro and Klide both claimed that they wanted to help the People of The Land, and Dumah nodded a bit, leaning forward in his chair, his elbows on the table as he had his fingers interlocked in front of his mouth as he thought. "I agree, we should strive to be as benevolent as we can possibly be, and helping the People of The Land is certainly a great way to do such. However, how will we help the People of The Land? It sounds great to simply say our goal is to help them, but we need to have ways to do that. And remember, while it is by no means a bad idea to help the People of The Land, we should have our own goals as well. In the old world, my swordplay master shared a great piece of wisdom with me: He believed people are born into the world with two duties. The first duty is the duty to make others happy, while the second duty is the duty to make oneself happy. Many of you already know that I strive to help the People of The Land in any ways that I can, but I want to help you all as well. Let me add another question to this meeting: What is everyone's dream? We are in a new world, and have been reborn as new people. Just as Klide so eloquently stated: This is a world that only a few years ago was considered nothing but a fantasy, we can do anything we wish! I want to help you all make the most of your new lives. You are all magnificent people and deserve so much." Dumah smiled warmly at his guild's members- no, at his family. He respected everyone here, deeply, truly believing that they all deserved to strive towards their dreams. Nobody spoke up to state their dream, and thus Dumah took the initiative to speak first. "My own dream is not only to help others, but I want to become a symbol of hope for others. I want people to know the name Dumah Exilium Iino, and I want to inspire hope and courage in others. I want people to be able to face despair with courage, inspired by my actions and thinking that they can achieve anything they strive for. Perhaps it is a dream that stems from my time as a father; we all want to see our children grow up to achieve amazing things, we want to be able to look at them and be in awe at the idea that we helped them. Even if we never achieve our own dreams, helping our children is worth any sacrifice. I do not know how many of you had children in the old world, so this may seem like an odd notion to you all if I was the only parent." Dumah smiled warmly at everyone in the room, his smile ending at Alette, who had returned the smile. - Words: 515 - - Total: 1057 - Tags: @kurosan Lamenta Keyala @bornfromvelvet Noctis Corvo sayinh Sark sotarou @blazeedge

Kaos, having just joined the guild was exploring the guildhall. Really he was just looking for a good place to make a small, basic Laboratory where he could do some work. Maybe even a secluded place where he was unlikely to be bothered, but then again he could just go to his own house for that. He continued his own, unguided exploration when he was suddenly alerted by a soft popping noise, indicating he just received a message. He pulled up the message and looked around, trying to gain his bearings again. The Meeting Room... where was that again? He followed the outer wall until he came to a familiar statue, his memory of the guildhall suddenly coming back to him. He progressed to the meeting room, quietly opening the door and sneaking in the back in time to catch the end of Klide's speech and all of Dumah's.
"If it's any consolation I think we need to go beyond just training and protecting the People of the Land. If we take on the Mantle of their defenders but do not arm them while we teach and train them, then aren't we diminishing their role in their own world? I feel as though we a guests here, even if it is our own world now, it was theirs first. Also, I feel as though we need to research, develop, and build new forms of combating and defending against the monsters of this world while also promoting and ensuring that the Landers become self-reliant, like many of their legends say they once were. As a Summoner I also feel like we need to take actions to strengthen the Spirits of the Land, if at all possible. I feel these actions will benefit us as a Guild, as Adventures, and even as People of this Land."
As he spoke he walked towards the group, taking the time to look each guild member in the eye as he scanned the room. His hand rested on the hilt of his sword out of habit as he spoke. "My name is Kaos by the way, I apologize for the late introduction." He took a polite bow towards his guild members, his hand still on the hilt of his sword.

He want to travel across the city spread his name and form first official cult. However that dreams has no connection with Noihara whatsoever, and he didn't feel like to tell this to anyone yet. What should he share and what shouldn't, in front of him may be his guildmate and the one who ask him this are the leader yet they are also stranger at the same time. Being in one guild, it doesn't mean he can automatically trust everyone here, well he can put trust on them to a certain degree, but at least not to the point of sharing his goal. Trust is not given but someone should earn it.
'My late father usually says to me no matter how dark your situation are, be the light and guide them to hope. I believe the definition of hope that my father mention may be vary, as for me, i associate hope with happiness or joyness.' he stop for a moment letting the words sink to everyone mind and rechecking hoping he didn't say anything wrong.
'Let see, there is several way to achieve pure bliss, it can be a certain of food or certain type of animal. As for me, i love bunnies as you can see' he pounce his bunny ears playfully 'However, happiness can be simple, being in one group that count each of their member as a family. To some people it already a pure bliss.'
The young bard took out his dizi flute and observe it 'Well.. part of my dream is to spread hope in a form of happiness.' he smile 'music never fails you to smile or regain your mood, aren't they'
He plays a short music with his flute to lighten up to the mood ' Music are magic, with a single note it can grasp to people heart. My dream for now is to travel across the city by becoming a traveler musician'
well he wasn't lying and that wasn't the full truth either. He decide to take a gamble to trust them a bit with little part of his dreams. Well, to be honest, he actually think it will be fun idea to spread happiness and be a traveler musician getting along with different peoples. His face keeps neutral leaning to smile. He keeps playing with his hood ear, ' i believe that, my dream can also contribute to people of the land. They can be merry and dance along with my music. I am an aspiring bard with a flute on his hand, my stage name will be...err...' he can't think anything good for his stage name, should he goes with Bunny Nox? or should he think anything else.
'well i can think of that later, suggestions are accepted' he put his hand on his chin ' i am curious with all of your dreams, come on share it, don't be shy'

A short dwarf lounged against one of the communal benches of the guild dining room. His manner was calm; relaxed. Although he only stood at 4 feet tall, he had the type of personality that made people forget that they had to look down to meet his eye. An overly large sword had been wedged into the wood by his side, and from the number of similar chips on the table it seemed to be a habit of the dwarf. Curiously, the words 'SORRY TABLE-SAMA' had also been scratched onto the table, the irony of the graffiti lost on its artist. A bright, energised smile was on Sark's face as he watched the interplay of politics, of hopes, through the meeting.* He held his guildmaster Dumah in a position of high respect; the man was a tailor and a guild master. For the longest time Sark had been an apathetic adventurer who had resigned himself to a fear of death and a permenancy of being level 1. It was only soon after his personal breakthrough he had met Dumah, and had learned that guild masters could be inspiring, charming and above all human. There was good in Dumah that made Sark want to follow the man. This meeting was a good example of it; his boss had seen a problem and wanted to ensure that his guild worked in harmony towards fixing it. It also served the secondary purpose of getting the guild to know each other better - there were quite a few faces that Sark had seen across rooms, but hadn't had the chance to properly get to know. As opinions were offered Sark found himself inspired by several of his companions goals. There was a young man in a purple cloak who seemed to have the simple, heartfealt goal of helping everyone. It wasn't a well thought goal, but it was spoken with a trueness of heart that Sark could not just ignore. Another of the guildies came to a similar conclusion. He was a blood soaked, tall man whose differently coloured eyes caught and held the firelight. He spoke of a responsibility as an immortal, a responsibility to grow the world and its locals. His words rang with truth, and Sark found his chest tightening with the mixture of admiration, guilt at his own inaction to date, and inspiration to fix that. The man was right - they could train the locals, improve their lives and make this world safer for its non monstrous denizens. A monochrome man ( 'Why is our guild such a boy's club?' Sark idly wondered) spoke up, a man named Kaos. He seemed to support the bloodsoaked man's ideals, but from his own personal stage. He not only wanted to train the locals, but design new methods for them to fight the monsters. It would allow them total independence from the 'immortals,' which is something that Sark presumed the bloodsoaked man would approve of. The guildmaster listened patiently to all the ideas offered before nodding and speaking his own thoughts. He wanted to know now not only their goals, but their dreams. Hearing such flamboyant language caused Sark to chuckle. Dumah's charming vocabulary was part of the reason Sark had joined after all. While Dumah expanded on his thoughts Sark began to lose interest, until a particular phrase caught his ear. ' My time as a father.'
"Whoa whoa whoa." Sark exploded, vaulting to his feet with a wide eyed stare. "Wait - Dumah buddy, you were a Dad back in the last place?" He simply could not reconcile the pretty-boy teen in front of him with a more paternal figure. Dumah had always struck Sark as a youth with grand ideals, not a grounded father figure like Fletcher . The group turned their attention to Sark, who blushed under their sudden scrutiny. There was an awkward silence - perhaps Dumah had told everyone repeatedly about his past, but Sark had forgotten? It was hard to tell. The young samurai coughed into his hand, and tried to salvage the situation. "Well uh, moving on ... I'm here because Dumah seemed a pretty cool guy. My goals are to make sweet clothes" He offhandedly pointed towards the official uniform of the guild at this point, "and to enjoy my time. This world is my home, so I want to have a good life. I guess I never really thought properly about my responsibility as you guys put it, but now that you've said I agree. Equipping the locals to have a better life and a better future is a super good thing to do, so I'll help where I can!"
*And also at his ongoing, playful tormenting of the barkeep. The man would always rise to Sark's behavior making him one of Sark's favourite locals. Samurai:_______32 Tailor:_________ 36 Acrobat:_______01

After Dumah mentioned being a father in his past life, the young Dwarf shot up from his chair with a stupefied expression. He was shocked to hear that Dumah was a father of all things. "Yes, though my daughter was only two years old. My wife and I had a child at a fairly young age, though we were able to afford having one since I had become a fairly successful playwright." Dumah smiled as he became distracted from the original purpose of this meeting. "Her name was Zyoto; we named her after my wife's usual online username. In fact, we often joked that we would name our child Zyotwo if it were a girl, and Twomah if it were a boy." The guild master chuckled recalling the joke. "My wife and daughter were incredible people, but I doubt you all wish for me to rant about them right now..." Dumah had to stop himself like this, lest he spend hours talking about the adventurous, headstrong woman he loved, and the amazing little girl they both had. "Like I said, I believe it is from my time as a father that I wish to help you all. After all, you are all my family now." Dumah ended his response to the Dwarf's shock with a smile and a loving rub of Alette's head. Dumah smiled at everyone, and did not want to ruin the meeting by going off about his wife and daughter - he figured that if everyone truly wanted to know, they could simply ask him. - Words: 258 - - Total: 1315 - Tags: @kurosan @bornfromvelvet Keyala @blazeedge Lamenta Noctis Corvo Sark sayinh sotarouNote: I will tell you guys the story if you all want to know. After Kuro went silent the next "speaker" was a new member of Noihara. He introduced himself as "Lamenta", he was a bard of an avarage height and sorta "muscular" build. What made Kuro raise one eyebrow was his pink hair, which was not that unusual... except most of the time, it was used by females and/or female characters. The bard stated that he saw the guild as a place to get to know new people and he wouldn't mind would go with them, when they stick to the "noble" side of things. Next one to speak was Klide. Kuro met him a few times already, but never really spoke with him, but already from what he knew about him (Which wasn't that much) he held some respect for the man. His respect rose a lot more when Klide basicaly agreed with Kuro, but was more focused on helping the People of the Land as we, the Adventurers, were immortal and it was our duty to help them in either clearing out dungeons, or training them to fight. Kuro could not agree more and he was really glad he wasn't the only one with a similar goal. "Huh..." (It seems Kat was right. I now also think we'll get along quite well. Maybie I should talk with him a bit more after the meeting?)After Klide's speech Dumah, stated that their ideas are good, but need a little-bit more planning, but that he was also looking for more personal input, what are their dreams in particular. He followed it with saying that his dream is to become a "beacon/symbol of hope and courage" for others. (That is an interesting goal... and a hard one to make true as well.) Dumah also mentioned something about parrenting and that he was a father. Suddenly a silver-haired man walked into the room, saying that "protecting and training People of the Land" is not enough and that we should equip them as well. The Silver-Hair (As Kuro would refer to him until he knew his name) also wanted to conduct research to build machines for better defence against monsters. Then, after a while of silence, he introduced himself as Kaos. Sark suddenly jummped up, and asked Dumah about his parrenting, basicaly ignoring Kaos. It would seem that he had no idea that Dumah was a Father. (Well, to be honest, I also don't know much about it, but I don't wanna bother him about stuff he doesn't want to talk about.... if he wants to talk about it, he would.) Sark then told them that his goals are to make great clothes and help them with whatever they are doing. To Kuro's surprise, Dumah told them something about his family in the real world, but then stopped himself, as he didn't think it was the proper time and place to talk about that. (Hmmm.. Maybie he does want to and/or need to talk about them with somone... But I don't think it should be me.)
Next to talk was Lamenta again. This time he said that his dream is to be a musician and to make people feel better by playin' music, to which he acctualy played few happy tones on his flute. (I think that is a good idea. There is never enough music in the world, real one, or our one.)When no one was talking for few moments Kuro decided that he should say what was on his mind. (Well I guess it's my turn again.) "Well, to be completely honest... I don't really have a desire for myself... I mean t-that for me, my life has no value, it never really had and when here I can't even die, I feel more like that... But don't get me wrong, I do not mind, it is just that my dreams and or goals are just the completely same thing as what I want to do in the guild: 'to help innocent people'. ... Ok, I may have brought the mood down a little-bit..." And once again he stopped talking to not make things any worse. ____________________________________________________________ [Word count: 685 Tags: @dumah @bornfromvelvet Keyala @blazeedge Lamenta Noctis Corvo Sark sayinh sotarou Kaos ]

Dumah stood after Klide finished speaking. He had a certain regal bearing to him. In fact, it had been one of the things that had drawn Klide to him in the first place. But it was the way that he was regal that was what truly drew Klide's attention. Dumah stood proud and powerful, but with humility. He was not overly cocky, and he had a soft heart. On top of that he had fathered a poor little lander girl. The man was a born leader, both kind and strong. It was no surprise, ergo, that Klide was not the only one to find himself turning his head to look when the guild leader began to speak. He talked about how he was in agreement with his guild members, but that he also wanted to know what they wanted for themselves, connecting it to the other world where he had been told that humans were born into the world with two duties. One was to make others happy and the other was to make themselves happy. He then decided to give his fellow guild mates more to work with by giving them another question. He asked the group what their dream was. He then complemented Klide's previous comment and told everyone that they were all magnificent people and deserved very much. To get the chat started, he shared his dream first, saying that he wanted to become a symbol of hope to the world, comparing it to his time in the other world as a father. After that, a late member came from inside the guild and rather than answering the question about what his dream was, he chose to add to Klide's comment by saying that rather than protecting the people of the land, they should train them, which was Klide's intention, but was also beside the point. The late member introduced himself as Kaos with a bow. Klide turned his head to meet eyes with him. "Thank you for the input Kaos. I agree that we should train the People of the land, but that is perhaps a discussion for another time. Please, have a seat. This is more a meeting to introduce ourselves to each other, so if you don't mind me repeating Dumah's question, what is YOUR dream, what is it that you want for yourself?" He let the man think and took his seat before listening to the rest. of what everyone else had to say. The bard seemed to want the world to be filled with bunnies and music, both of which seem ed pretty good to Klide. He used to be an avid listener of music, and a good rabbit stew now and then would be nothing to complain about. Suddenly the dwarf previously referred to as Sark jumped to his feet and called their guild master 'buddy'. He seemed to be unaware of Dumah's past as a parent. Dumah responded by offering a brief explanation, but then stopped himself. "I'll have to talk to him later, no man could just accept leaving their family for two years. I am sure he misses them to a much greater extent then most of us understand." Klide thought as Sark explained how he wanted to make clothes and agreed with the others about the People of the land. Kuro was the last to speak up before Klide. He said that he did not really have a dream. He said his life had no value and that it never had. He then said he did not mind though, and that his goals were the same as what he wanted for the guild. Klide had listened to most everyone with his eyes still glued to the glowing blaze before them. He knelt and grabbed another log, slowly raising it and putting it into the fire. "Eat up, grow strong" he whispered to it before standing and brushing his hand over his knee to remove the bits of bark and ask that sat speckled around the fire. "You are wrong," He said quite bluntly. "I am going to use words from another mans quote when I say this but it is not your life, it's life. Life is bigger than you, it is bigger than all of us. It is not something you possess. Rather, it is something that you are a part of. You have value though, do not misunderstand me.I am sorry if that came out as aggressive in anyway, it was not intended to. I know all too well how it is to feel like you have no value though. Back in the other world I found nothing in which I felt truly valued, I found nobody to share my deeper thoughts or secrets with. I was alone even in the most crowded of rooms. In fact, though I hope no one is offended by my saying this, I would not mind staying here in this world forever. I do not care to go back to be completely honest. I found myself here. This world of fantasy is where I belong, it is where I met people who I could speak openly too and feel like I finally had friends I was close to. Please do not think of yourself as any different. You may have been through different things, but there is always a place for you. You obviously had a reason to come and join our guild, so you seem to want to spend your time with others. So do that and maybe along the way you will find what you were looking for. We are now a family, for better or for worse. If you have a problem, come to someone here and tell them, be open. We will watch over each other, that is what family members do for each other right?" Klide gave a smile to Kuro. He then turned his head to Dumah and began to explain his dream. "Put simply, my dream is to make yours come true. I have told you before that I will be the shadow that is not mentioned in the folk tales and songs of the old days. I do not want to be a symbol to the masses so much as a myth. If I must choose dream for myself however, than I suppose I would like to be able to protect all of you and to be there when you need me. I want to make sure no body harms my family. Long term, I suppose it would not be too bad to find someone to settle down with and maybe build a little hut in the mountains, since I have always been rather fond of them." Klide finished with a nod to his guild leader and flashing a slight smile to the others before taking a seat again after feeding the fire another log. Kain had been sitting in the group for some time. He was fine with blending in for a while, and was rather content with just observing and thinking over the situation before he spoke his own two cents. The tone seemed serious enough, and he had no intentions of making it lighthearted, no matter how badly he generally dealt with serious. With all of the discussion on their dreams and aspirations, it seemed for the most part positive. Many people showed their good, talking about how they wish to help others, how they wish to protect those close to them, real stereotypical bull. Both the patchwork man and the spirit in his head sighed at the thought that people never seem to change. He held a little bit of a softspot for the assassin however, as when he spoke up of a feeling of worthlessness, it brought back some memories to the heretic of his own life previous. But, as Klide spoke up and said, life is life. Kain scratched his head, letting out a small breath. "Honestly, My aspirations fall closer in line with the assassins. At this point, yeah I've come to terms with life here. I've actually come to accept it to an extent, I mean, hell it's everything I ever daydreamed of. Still, I guess if I had any plans for this world they would be simply to understand as much as I could." He scratched the side of his chin, his eyes glancing towards the ceiling in thought. "I mean, unlike the other world, I can actually do something here, and there's a lot we have yet to uncover about the world and ourselves within it. Sorry if I'm getting all philosophical here, but I really just want to know all the answers I guess." He leaned back in his chair, his speckled eyes glancing at his fellow guild members. He didn't really know what else to say honestly, I mean, sure he had made some friends within the group but he wasn't sure how much he really knew everyone. His mind processed them all like books, and many of them were empty to him. He had yet to figure out most of their drives and backstory, and as such, didn't know how best to approach them. Few people would understand him or his own motivations beyond just his general quest for knowledge, so he didn't really bother to share. It wasn't necessarily the best time to talk about meanings of life and advanced magic theory in a guild discussion so he decided he would just fade back into the shadows as the rest spoke up and voiced their opinions. Creating a brief change in the pace of the conversation, in storms a familiar face that had not been seen in quite some time. With a large, sly grin on her face, the fox tail that is Keyala paces in. The Summoner paces up to the group in her normal vibrant red and white Shinto priestess robes, which seem to give her a look of innocence that matches with her child like height and appearance. She chuckles, crossing her arms and remaining standing, this girl who had come into the world shy and awkward as Klide had once seen, finally seemed to be coming into her awkward and obnoxiously loud self. She holds her wooden staff, leaning it against the table as she digs through her magic bag "Heeeeeellllooooooo everybody!" she says, giving a small bow, despite the fact that she is still searching through her bag "I'm uh...Keyala, for those of you who don't know me. I'm a Summoner and a scribe, and I pride myself in trying to research and create. I was eavesdropping before I came in, I believe we were talking about our goals and ambitions and such?" she says, sitting herself down, and setting a map onto the table, examining it, taking a quill pen out of her bad along with a strange looking stone "I suppose I have a couple of things that I'd really like to do here in this world. This world is a huge opportunity, we have a world where we truly have the power to shape things. So I say we do just that! We can be heroes! We can train these People of the Land, but we can also develop incredible technology. I mean, I've even been working on a sort of typewriter with another Adventurer. We as a guild have the ability to pool our resources and our knowledge of technology in order to create wonderful technology. I mean, if you put a scribe like me with an alchemist, machinist, and a blacksmith, we could make some wonderful machines AND have the blueprints in order to replicate them. As a guild, we should be doing that with the things we get when we are out exploring. I mean, having someone in the guild who could tailor and enchant would be able to help mages like myself get even more powerful armor and robes. I digress however. Beyond just advancing this world, I'd personally like to establish some organized authority for it. Does it seem to run fine without it? Yes, but technology can change things. I'm also a politician, and I have this part of my brain telling me to become the mad queen of the north." She jokes, giving a long, sly laugh, the fox tail's two tails winding around her chair

There were a few moments of silence after Kuro had finished his.. "speach". The one to break it was Klide again. He told the assassin that he is wrong and that he had wrong perception of life. That life is not his proprety, but a thing he is a part of. Kuro was a bit surprised by that statement and didn't know if Klide was mad at him or not. The swashbuckler noticed this, or at least, that was what Kuro assumed, seeing that he imdietly added he ment no offence or anything and that he thinks every life has value. He mentioned he had the same feeling in the other world and that he likes it more here. Which Kuro agreed with. Klide followed that with also stating that Kuro wouldn't be here, if he wanted to be alone and that this is his family now, so if he had any problems he can talk to them. He smiled at Kuro. Kuro didn't know what to say at first and before he could reply Klide moved on and returned to the meeting's purpose. (I'll talk to him about this later) His dream is to help Dumah with his and didn't want neither fame not glory in return. Kuro respected that a lot. Kilde thought for a second and then he added that if that won't suffice that his dream also would probably be to protect all of those, who he cares about. The assassin could not help himself but to respect the man more and more. He now almost had as much respect for Klide, as he had for Dumah. Kuro didn't feel like talking yet and started to think that he said enough for today anyway, so the next person to talk was, 'till now, silent Noctis. He said that he felt more like a part of this world now. For his dreams he stated that he want's to find out as much about it and gather all the information as possible. Kuro knew the importance of knowledge in any form, even if he didn't express it anyhow. Suddenly the door slammed open (again) and a fox tail summener marched into the room. (What is with all the goddamn surprise-late-show-ups today?!) it was Keyala. Kuro hadn't talked to her much, but from what he observed: he did not want to get into a fight with her. Not that she would be that strong, but her arguing and snark level was over 8000. Keyala didn't waste any time and after introducing herself she went to the table and started talking about her goals, dreams and ambitions. She mainly want's to advance the technology and develope new things, from clothes to magical weapons to everyday items. She also said she'd like to have an "organized authority" and said something about ...becoming the ..."mad queen of the north"? Kuro thought (or at least hopes) that the last one was a joke, but... he wasn't so sure. "Ehm.. Nice to see you again Keyala?"With Keyala here, the assassin noticed that there are quite a few people here now. That was not to his liking and got a littlebit nervous. Kuro didn't realy want to add to this conversation, but he also felt that he needed to explain his intentions of why he joined the guild... after Klide's ... "accusation". He was a bit nervous looking at all the members in front of him, lookin' at him. "I...hm.. Ok. Klide, fom what I understand you said or indicated that ...I must have had a reason to join the guild and that I, knowingly or not, want ...human company. T-The reason was simple: 'I knew that no matter how hard I'd try, I couldn't help everyone... I couldn't do everything on my own. Knowing Dumah, I knew that he is a good man ....and that helping people is one of his priorities... and seeing that this is his guild.. I figured that people here would have similar ideas." He looked around the room. "And I can see I was not wrong in that. So I thought that having somone to have your back is not a bad idea.' That is my reason.. o-of joining." Kuro realized how dumb he was, although unconsciously, acting. (There is only one more member of the guild in the room then before! What is wrong with me! ... Although before, I focused on one person reather than the whole group..) He calmed down a lilttlebit and focused mainly on Klide "For the 'socializing' part... I can't say I dislike it, but I do like to be left alone a lot of the time... But hey, thanks for being ... 'kind' to me and tryin' to open my eyes... I guess. I appreciate it." He smiled at Klide and then chose the darkest corner of the room and went there so he would not be stared at any longer. ____________________________________________________________ [Word count: 818 Tags: @dumah @bornfromvelvet Keyala @blazeedge Lamenta Noctis Corvo Sark sayinh sotarou Kaos ]
