More details to come when I'm not studying for the next week. For now, the setting is a banquet hall in the highlands of Snowdonia in the evening. You have been invited to a formal Christmas party (called the Snowfell Festival by Landers) hosted mainly by Adventurers and some of the influential Avon landers. There are also some lodgings available. You can also find new monsters in the area such as living snowmen and reindeer made from ice, ranging a wide level variety. Neither the area nor the monsters are particularly hostile, so anyone may attend. For now, you may post in this thread like a group social and then myself or a Data Holder may pick up the event in a few days.

Hiro fixed the collar of his suit jacket, making his way up to the establishment. He wasn't sure at all how or why there was an event being held here, or even why he got invited to the shindig. But, the fact that he got invited stayed, and he figured he might as well go check it out. Having taken a train up to the area, specifically a Kumori Engine, he found that the adventure up wasn't quite as bad as it could have been. The tracks were a bit weird, but they had to cut down on hours of work up in the snowier area for the safety of the Adventurers and Landers who were working on the project. Perhaps it'd be something to work on after the snow season was over. For now, however, he was here as a guest, to enjoy in the festivities of the Winter Ball. That being the case, Hiro wondered if there was going to be much other people here for him to meet and greet with. Although, he somewhat doubted it. As a precaution, though, he made sure to invite a good number of other people that he knew to be here. If all went as he had hoped, there'd be a big enough party for them all.
There was another reason why Hiro was invited here, but it was something that nobody else really knew. The fact that he had recently changed his subclass was a bit unknown, and probably for the better. But, he was given an invitation, as well as a request: To be the secret entertainment for the evening. He was allowed to sing or play whatever song he wanted, so long as it wasn't something unfitting for the possible presence of children. He knew a song or two he'd like to give a go, but he wasn't very confident in his own abilities yet. He had just swapped to the new subclass recently, after all, so he didn't know if he was going to be good or not. It was certainly a decision he made on the spot, completely on impulse, but he felt that it would have its benefits soon enough. All that aside, he entered the building, and began to take a quick look around. The building was quite nice, for a large ballroom, and was pretty well illuminated, so people don't be dancing in the dark. Which was nice, since that would avoid the awkward "stepping on toes" situations. Or not. Depends on how good a dancer they are.
Upon secondary inspection, it seemed that there weren't many people here already, and there was still a bit of setting up going on. The large-scale band had yet to start playing, the conductor hadn't reached the stage yet, and there were only a few servers and waiters and waitresses. Although, probably playing to the males in this case, there was 5 waitresses and only one waiter on the floor. One of which, walked right up to Hiro, and offered him a drink, to which he respectfully declined. Hiro began to make his way over to the first open table he saw, finding that there weren't any "assigned" seats. Which is probably preferred for the Landers, so that they didn't let it seem like others are more important than some. Hiro took a seat, facing the stage, and opened up his interface. The "Idol" symbol was there, to which he began a cold sweat to, but opened up another interface to see the friends list. He opened up the locator, checking to see if any of his friends that he had invited were on their way here on a separate train or something, or even if they were on their way up the stairs to the building right now. Sighing a bit, he closed the interface, and looked around again. This place was going to get a lot more lively in just a short while, more than likely.

I have invited @sugarygiggles as Hiro's so-called "date" to this event.

Ox threw open the door of the fancy establishment, the biting cold of the weather outside chasing him as he made his way in. Not wasting another second, he closed the sturdy door behind him, exhaling loudly as his cold, numb face began to warm itself. With a wave of his arm, he pulled up his in-game menu, tapping a couple interface icons here and there, dequipping his armor and equipping the fancy, dapper suit that he picked up from a local tailor. The craftsmanship was great, and the price tag was even greater. As the armor disappeared, little bundles of snow fell to the ground with a loud splat, giving the ground a dark, wet stain to mark the death of the miniscule particles of frozen water.
With that bit gone, the Guardian then shook his head, shedding his brown locks of hair of the snow that had desired to take refuge on the hairs that adorned his scalp. Their outcome was like that of their frostier brethren, their demise coming upon them at a much swifter pace.
With that battle against the cold won, Oxford straightened his suit and marched into the main hall. The sounds of the Lander orchestra tuning their instruments could be heard, a couple waitresses and a waiter or two milling about as they made their final ball preparations. Ox’s presence did not go unnoticed, a maid swiftly whisking by, handing the Guardian a glass of...something (wine, maybe?). The words of “thank you” had hardly left his mouth before she dashed off to perform other Lander duties. He stood there, partially in a daze as he looked around the room, spotting a familiar face sitting at one of the tables in front of the stage.
“Hey, I know that guy!” Ox said in a knowing manner as he approached the table of the auburn-haired monk. Hoping that he wasn’t overstepping his bounds, the Guardian took a seat at the same table, setting his glass of mystery liquid in front of him before doing so. “How you’ve been doing, Hiro? Waiting for anybody in particular, or just making sure you got the best seat in the hall?” he asked his bro, taking a swig from the glass. It tasted of grapes, but yet also had the familiar slight-burning sensation of alcohol. In real life, he never had a drop of the spirits, but hanging around with, ahem, certain individuals who will not be named had gotten him accustomed to the beverage before him.
As he listened to the answers of one of his closest friends (that is, if he decided to answer his questions), he would look around at the empty hall, watching each person trickle in one by one. The hall would be crowded soon, so Ox made sure to look for places that would be considerably less crowded once everyone arrived. As much as he didn’t mind a nice get-together with other fellow players, crowds were one thing he couldn’t stand.

CHARUEN
WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS "Brr, it's chilly!"
Cold and sharp winds slashed against Charuen's face (Good thing she remembered to moisturize!) as she ascended the stone steps of the banquet hall that sat at the top of one of the many hills in the Snowdonian Highlands. Snow fell gently from the evening sky, blanketing the cleric's surroundings in a layer of fluffy white powder. While the pink haired cleric preferred being in the cold rather than in the heat, she enjoyed staying indoors when it snowed, wrapped up in blankets with a good book and a cup of tea. However, there would be no rolling around in blankets tonight! For tonight, Charuen planned on celebrating the joys of the season with her friends and comrade-in-arms. The pinkette had been fortunate enough to be invited to the Snowdonia Winter Ball, and while the invitation had been a surprise, it had been a welcomed one.
Upon entering the hall, Charuen unequipped her traveler's cloak, thus revealing the dress she had picked out for the evening: A long and strapless (She hoped Caer didn't plan on groping her tonight.) white dress dotted with snowflakes as an ode to the yuletide theme. A black ribbon that was tied around her waist provided her dress the perfect silhouette, and accentuated her figure in all the right places. Having never been a fan of beauty products, the cleric kept makeup to a minimum, using only enough to round her eyes and make her lips appear more full. She skipped the blush, for her face always reddened easily, and the last thing she wanted was to leave the dance floor (She planned on doing a lot of dancing that evening.) looking like a tomato. As always, her golden clips remained, although they seemed to be sparkling particularly bright that evening.
The first thing that Char noticed about the hall was the large opening across the room that provided everyone with a beautiful view of the city below as it continued to snow. The banquet hall must have been enchanted, because it felt warm and cozy despite the lack of glass around the opening to protect them from the bitter cold. The second thing that the pink haired beauty noticed was the lack of guests in the banquet hall. That being said, the landers that were working as servers seemed to be on an edge, rushing to and fro with bottles of wine, empty champagne flutes, and elaborately folded napkins, among other things. Waving her hand to open her user interface, Charuen then quickly glanced at the time and realized that she was a few minutes early. A look of understanding settled on her face; she had always been an early bird when it came to events, a habit that she had picked up thanks to her father.
The pinkette took a few hesitant steps towards the area where all the tables had been set up for the adventurers. As she drew closer and closer, she felt the uncertainty leave her and be replaced by her usual calm and grace. She was in her element -- after all, she had grown up attending social events and thus, had grown quite comfortable to them. Upon reaching the tables however, Charuen's skills failed her. A rush of waiters and waitresses carrying platters of hors d'oeuvres rushed by in a fury of panic, (Probably because a steady stream of guests were arriving.) paying her no attention and pushing her towards the side. The cleric let out a small gasp in surprise, and her hand shot out in order to hold on to the nearest object in an attempt to steady herself.
Upon regaining her balance, the young woman released her grip and looked over to see what it was that she had grabbed. A look of surprise appeared on her face, only to be replaced by an expression of amusement as she recognized the item, or rather the person, that she had been holding on to. A smile graced her lips and she tilted her head, causing her locks of long pink hair to sway to one side. "Well hello there Oxford!" She began, her smile widening. "I'm starting to think that the only way we'll ever manage to greet each other is through me grabbing hold of you." A soft laugh escaped Charuen's lips, and her steel blue eyes twinkled to show that she was merely teasing him. However, her attention soon went from the Guardian to gentleman who sat beside him.
"Oh hello Hiro!" Charuen said happily, raising a hand to greet her friend and mentor. It seemed from the way they had positioned themselves that they had been speaking to one another before she had so rudely interrupted them. "It's so nice to see you both here! Did you two arrive together?"

LaviniaLevel 31: Enchanter Level 22: Pharmacist Level 11: Scholar Note: ... Tag: @blazeedge "I remember why I hate dresses" Lavinia thought to herself as she wished her chest and back were a bit more covered in the cold weather. The red head was wearing an outfit she had specifically made for this event a Crimson dress made by her guild leader and friend Kumori. It's a lovely dress that falls in waves around the enchantress with a pair of matching heels and evening gloves. The dresses color complimented Lavinia's hair quit nicely or so she thought, it was a nice dress despite her own thoughts. Lavinia had received an invite from her friend Hirosame to the event, but didn't get one from the actual hosts "I guess I'll need to start making a reputation for myself." she thinks as she pushes on through the cold into the hall. Lavinia had never been to dance let alone a ball, for once the know it all smarty pants was entirely out of her element, this'll be interesting. She barely had an idea how to even slow dance, it would be an understatement to say she's nervous. Lavinia gawked at the room for a moment when she entered already not what she expected, the room was beautiful a few servers here and there a handful of adventures clustered together chatting, we'll get to them later. Lavinia would have probably had come with a date or without but much to her own surprise she actually had a date. Well, not really a date, a friend to come with so she wasn't here by herself and ending up as a wall flower all night. That friend was Klide, the swashbuckler friend she's had several experiences with and was rather fond of through their adventures, did I mention Lavinia learned her lesson and has all of her combat equipment with her? No? Well now you know, she wasn't going to let what happened on the beach happen again. Back to the adventures, Lavinia looked at the group, she recognized them but couldn't put her finger on who they were. Then it clicked, Ox, Char and Hiro, it was strange but not really strange seeing her friends and guild mates in formal attire. Lavinia walked up to them, her heels clicking on the floor the whole way, she gave each a glance over, Hiro and Ox looked handsome and Char beautiful. It was kind of funny, how different they all look when they're not decked head to toe in combat gear, like Lavinia has room to talk. Lavinia wondered if she should just stand back and wait for them to notice, wait for Klide or go and say hi. She was already half way there so being social it is. Walking up to them so she's right next to them Lavinia looks at all of them in the eyes "Hey guys!" she says excitedly, despite being more nervous than when you bring your twenty one year old boyfriend home to met daddy Lavinia was happy to see at least she had friends here, now all that's left is for Klide to show up. The door pushed shut softly behind her, separating her from the snow blown mountain. Once inside, the blonde fox-girl glanced around the large, wide room she had just entered, her cheeks and nose flush from the freezing temperatures outside. It was still mostly empty, with only a few people here and there. Artemisia quickly moved a few paces into the room, the heels of her shoes clicking off the floor with each step, and positioned herself slightly off to the side. From what she could tell, there was a band setting up and there looked to be what was probably a dance floor as well. A half dozen or so waitresses and waiters were bustling about, ensuring all of the last minute preparations were in order. Several empty tables were scattered across the room, neatly decorated with cloth and candles. One table, however, was filling up quickly. She knew not a single one of them but that was what today was for. Or at least, that was what she had decided today was for... to meet a few new people. Two days ago when she heard of the Ball, she was certain she wouldn’t be able to attend. There was simply no way to put all the plans together fast enough. However, a shop owner she knew, a Person of the Land, insisted she attend and had been kind enough to let her borrow the dress she was wearing for the evening. Artemisia looked down at herself and couldn’t stop the smile that pulled at her lips – it was truly a beautiful dress, in her opinion. It was a light pink dress which hung lower in the back than the front with a split on the side, exposing her upper legs almost entirely. Her lower legs were covered by black thigh highs. A thin ribbon encircled her waist, holding the fabric tight to her frame. A sheer white shrug covered her shoulders which would otherwise be bare. Just for today she had ditched her usual twin tails and wore her long, blonde hair in a single thick braid behind her. She looked at the table again, realizing yet another person had joined them while she was hesitating. Artemisia pulled in a deep breath and took the first step, quickly followed by another, until she was standing only a few feet away from the gathering. Right now it was two guys and two girls, probably each a pair for the occasion. If she was going to make friends, this was too prime an opportunity to pass up. Artemisia moved the last few feet until she was directly beside them, standing just off to the side of guy with redish hair, as the other man seemed to already be a little occupied. “ Hello,” She smiled widely at the group, a bit nervous but determined to give this a shot. “ I’m Artemisia, do you mind if I join you guys? You just seem like you’re having so much fun,” She thought it sounded stupid but she didn’t really have an excuse to suddenly be approaching them and starting off with ‘I have no real friends, be my friends!’ seemed like a bad idea. -- Notes: I'm (ACTUALLY!) late for work but I didn't want to not post SOMETHING. Also, here's the picture of what she's wearing, since I didn't describe it very well. Artemisia's dress - just like this only add the ears and tail. Tags: Hirosame and the others Words: 530

Placeholder! You can tell this is a placeholder because I don't have my post template! The pains of being a graduate student with exams till the very last day of the week, isn't it? By the time I post, the party will be over already. So let's make a post. Let's make a really makeshift post just so I can say 'I was there' before the wave of replies from the Posting Demon candidates come flooding in. Yeah. This post starts at 2:42. Let's see how quickly I can make something up. Great, now I need a dress for this thread. Great. Wonderful. Why can't I just wear a generic suit like the guys in this thread are doing? Let's see. Fine, just gotta upload. All right, Midori will be wearing this. 5 minutes to pick a dress. Well, I guess she's not the type to decide between several choices in a matter of hours. Not enough time for that. Time is a luxury. Time should be spent studying more things like crafting researches! Oh, people are supposed to bring dates too? Screw that noise. Forever Alone club represent. All right, so she got an invitation one day and it seemed everyone else did as well. Her guild leader Hirosame (who was supposed to be in the middle of a kidnapping thread right now so spoilers for you he's alive) had decided to go ahead, mentioning something that the rest of the alliance was likely to go. Since it was the Christmas season, she should have gone too. Motivation in 2 sentences. Not aiming for Wall of Text Master here. Maybe Best RP Writing Style. But that's something else. By the way, nominations and cards end in 3 days. Get those in. Skipping the little adventure she had taken to reach the Snowdonia hall for now (maybe some backstory for later wouldn't hurt), Midori barged through the hall's doors and pretended to be a social person. A rather rushed but social person. She navigated the maze of wandering butlers and maids, somehow ending up with a mug of peppermint hot cocoa in one hand and a large foot-long candy cane in the other. We'll let you imagine how this scene turned out because frankly it's probably similar to some scene from a comedy anime. She located the table consisting of Apocrypha-Aeryn members. First off was the guild leader ( Hirosame if you weren't paying attention) who was paradoxically here despite the alliance thread not having finished yet. Next to him was the Aeryn vice-leader ( @oxford @docox @0x1dea) who was paradoxically here and she certainly would have gotten to know him during that thread but it's all a blur anyway. Let's just assume that thread happened and now they knew each other but didn't really know each other. Oh, that wasn't it either. The potion-distributing Pharmacist ( Lavinia) and the cheerful girl who was recipient of Eye for an Eye ( Charuen) was here too. Let's presume that they met each other too and were supposed to be okay friends by this point. Particularly the pink-haired girl. They were supposed to be in another thread together. Alas, the only person she certainly did not meet within the bounds of Liquid Time was this other girl (@sugarygiggles) who just walked up to the group and asked to join. Honestly with such the AAA presence in this thread, they were definitely going to get a whole lot of other people trying to mingle with them. Anyway! Post is done. Midori navigated through the crowds and snuck into the group, sitting down at the table sipping cocoa as if nothing had happened and she was there all along. Legit right? Maybe I'll fix this post in the future. 3:00. I guess it works for a 15 minute post. [WC: Surprisingly 633]

take up the C A L L AND FOLLOW EVERYONE The evening festivities had only just begun and yet Blue already felt herself in the thick of it all. Just the way she liked it. The invitation to a ball was the last thing the bard had expected to find in her mailbox this week. Not that she didn't mind, this was a wondrous opportunity for her. A ball always needed music did it not? There was no disputing such a fact, and it just so happened that Blue would be drafted into the evenings entertainment for that event. She'd follow after the large scale band, adding her voice to the stage during the dance sequence. A sort of Bohemian cabaret as it were. How exciting it would be.
In the meantime though, Blue was free to join the other guests on the floor until showtime. That was refreshing in itself. Normally you'd be forced in the back and kept away from the others while you practiced and got your make-up on. At least that was from Blue's experience. Not that she needed to get herself any more ready than she was. She knew her set list by heart, and as for appearance, well who could compete with this? It took a bit of work, but Blue managed to pull some favors with a tailor friend and get this gorgeous yellow dress. The folds of the dress flowed like gold on her hips, the embroidered waistband seemed to glow as the light hit it, and the feathered collar framed her face and accented all of her features. A work of art she paid well for.
For the time being, Blue would search for her friends. She knew a couple would be here, namely Charlotte and Hiro. Other than that, who could say? A lot of adventurers had been invited to this event so it was only fair to assume that most of the people she knew could be there. And look at that, a gathering of familiar faces as she stepped into the building. A smirk played upon the bard's features. Her hips swayed in confidence as she stepped up to the group. A finger twirled in her dyed red locks as she spoke to them. "Well hello there. Nice to see we all showed."
Blue bobbed a formal curtsy to her fellow guests, giving a wink to Charlotte in recognition. "Ladies, you look gorgeous. Gentlemen, very strapping." she'd be lying if she said she wasn't having fun with this. It had been a long while since she was in such a social event. It was like releasing a fish back into the ocean. This would be a very fun evening.

Klide had missed the first train and seeing as how he was not certain when the next would be arriving, or even if there was going to be another, he decided to climb the mountain on his own, though the snow was beginning to come down harder and harder with each passing minute. He began his slow accent up the mountain and was grateful for the cloak he'd borrowed from his friend, the Lander at a little food stall he liked. The cloak was made of thick brown wool, and reached all the way down to his ankles. Under it, he wore a black suit jacket as well as a white dress shirt with a crimson ascot. The cloak kept everything nicely concealed, it was held closed by three small buttons. Klide continued his march up the mountain, but he was then met by a large, and rather vexing obstacle. Before him stood a sheer face for a cliff which he would have to climb if he wanted to get to the ball quickly, either that, or going around it, which was not his favorite option. Klide saw a path up the cliff that could work, though it would take some time. He climbed slowly, stopping every few meters to regain circulation in his freezing hands. Finally, he reached the brink of the cliff, and his march through the snow continued. Eventually, Klide saw lights off in the distance, and a smile passed over his face. If he was lucky, Lavinia would not need to wait to long for him. With new motivation he hurried toward the hall. He passed through a small forest of evergreen trees, and beneath one of the taller ones, lay a small cairn with a little cross sticking out from the top. Klide wasn't sure who it was intended for, but he bowed to the little mound of rocks, paid his respects, and continued. Finally, he reached the stone steps of the large building. Klide wiped the snow from his pant legs and shoes, and walked up to the door. He slowly pushed it open, and walked in quietly, looking around to see if the festivities had already begun. He saw a large group of people he did not know sitting around a table and chatting merrily. He recognized only two of them. The first was Lavinia, who looked enchanting in a wavy red dress, which reminded Klide of the similar manner in which flowers petals would overlap each other. The other person he recognized was Charuen, though he didn't remember much about her, mostly that she was very concerned for Magma during their first encounter. None the less, she also looked wonderful in her white dress. Klide shut the door silently, as he entered the large hall, making sure to stay close to the wall, and activating his tracker skill "Silent Move". He had nothing against the people around the table but Klide had always been a bit of a wall flower, tending to avoid conversations with people he didn't know. He unequipped his cloak, and shook large clumps of snow out of his hair. Klide smiled at seeing Lavinia enjoying herself with the others, but he lacked the courage to join her at that moment. He though to himself about how it was funny that combat with powerful opponents was easy for him, but simply talking to people was to great a challenge. There was an icy coldness to the air, and it was not the usual draft that made Caerbannog sneeze into the wind. A thick, white blanket covered the ground and many of the plants had fallen into a deep slumber. Frosty, chilled flakes each different from the other fell from the sky, and the animals of the land had either changed to their lighter-colored yet thicker coat, or had gone off to sleep away the cold. Time had passed quickly; memories and adventures in the past seasons eventually led to this end of a year. Truly, it was already winter.
Some say, Kumori included, that it was a good time to get together with people. There was something about the winter chill that made people feel relaxed and they tended to flock together. Perhaps it was an innate drive, the survival instinct, for in the cold one could not survive alone in the old days. Even in the advent of fireplaces and other sources of heat, people still preferred going to events and gatherings during the winter season. As such, a winter ball was set to be held in Snowdonia; quite the fitting occasion and location for the assassin to inch closer to his wife... if not for one minor detail.
Caerbannog hated winter. Or specifically, she hated the cold. Being such a small figure, it was difficult for her to keep warm even under a pile of blankets. The cold always seemed to find its way through her barriers, or so the samurai had said. And so it made even less sense that Kumori tailored a rather...not so warm dress for his wife. The boots, gloves and earmuffs were nice touches, but the rest of Caerbannog was rather cold in the Snow Bunny dress that her husband made. She was a summer person who, even though she could not swim in the real world, loved the beach and its warmth.
Winter was the exact opposite of summer. Even though Caerbannog was born around fall when the air was already chilly, she preferred the warm months of the year. But maybe that would eventually change; she would have to get used to it after all. As an adventurer, she could not stay cooped up in the Abbey or in the Schwarz-Oshiro Estate all winter. The wolf-hair had actually looked forward to having a pet dragon that could be her mobile fireplace, but alas, she had tamed a wyvern that could not breath fire at all! Such was her luck and so Caer accepted it... even the Snow Bunny dress, it was not half bad anyway. The green things on the ear muffs were cute, and her bunny stockings warmed her legs up somewhat. Kumori was in a suit, as usual. While men could complain that they had to wear the same thing everywhere, Caerbannog could just as well complain that women were expected to wear fluttery dresses even in the coldest of winters.
"I see a Hiro!" the samurai so rudely pointed at Hirosame once she and Kumori arrived at the venue.
Caer's left arm clung around the assassin's right one as her free hand and arm pointed straight at the monk. He seemed to be the center of attention, probably because he invited a lot of people to the ball. The guardian @0x1dea was there and perfectly placed too... as a fall-stopper. Charuen and her bouncy twins were present, much to Caerbannog's delight and so her pointing hand was raised up to a wave; perhaps a futile attempt to catch the attention of the pink-haired cleric. And her twins.
Another person (Lavinia), slightly familiar and in an even more familiar dress- Caerbannog could swear that she saw that same dress in Kumori's hands before, greeted the gathered adventurers. Two others soon appeared close to the monk; one was a foxtail who wore a wispy white dress (@sugarygiggles), and the other was someone who seemed to have been there all along (Midori). To the former, Caerbannog wondered if she was just as fluffy as all other foxtails; to the latter, the wolf-hair wondered if she had used some kind of stealth skill. Caer could almost swear that, that seat had been empty at first and then in the blink of an eye, it contained someone who only sipped cocoa and minded her own business. The samurai's attention suddenly swayed over to a redhead in a yellow, almost golden, dress (Blue). It was difficult to ignore such a sight, and if anything the dress and its wearer stood out in the crowd.
Still, Caerbannog remained on that spot where she stood with Kumori, apart from Hirosame's table. That is, unless the assassin led the way over to the group. She did not know most of the people there and Caer was slightly worried that she might seem or sound rude. Some people did seem familiar perhaps because they were Aeryn and Apocrypha members, but the samurai had been rather disconnected from her guild and their alliance that she remained unsure. Now, with the amount of people present, Charuen could probably relax because Caerbannog would probably not dare touch her inappropriately in front of so many adventurers. Probably. There was still a chance that Caer could go for a sudden act of impropriety.
"Ryuu-nii!" she suddenly tugged at Kumori's arm; her own arm still around it while her free hand grabbed his suit's sleeve, "Is there cake?"
Cake was good but what was that in a waiter's tray? The lander who had been serving drinks passed by the samurai, and as quickly as a crocodile would snap up at an unsuspecting water buffalo, Caerbannog had swiped a glass of champagne from the tray. The wolf-hair drank the contents without a word, and once that was done, she handed the empty glass to her husband. Her free hand rubbed her stomach area and before she realized it, a champagne-smelling pocket of gas made its way up her throat and through her little mouth. Caerbannog burped loudly. Twice.
"'scuse me," she simply said afterwards.

" Urban clothes? check." " Messy hair? check." " Complete obliviousness about any form of style and decency for this event? check." Leo said to himself while looking at his reflection on a big block of carved ice, " Alright, I'm a jackass..." He concluded after a long sigh. Winter was coming and all around London adventurers of all kind started to get really excited by this change of seasons. Who didn't like winter? It's the time of the year when everything gets plummeted under a coat of white snow, when children joyfully play in the streets and also when it's so damn cold that you can feel your butt freezing up, oh, and events! who knew what kind of great and epic event would this season bring to our little swashbuckler named stryke? A ball, an event not really compatible with Leo at all. Perhaps it was because Leo's dancing skills were rather...questionable, one time he was compared to a drunken monkey and he had since given up on any form of dance. Anyway, there was more to a ball than dancing, free food was one thing and who knew what kind of surprises would show up during the night. He also got an invitation by his new guild master Hirosame, so it'd be rude if he didn't show up at all. Problem is, he just noticed Hiro's invitation a few hours before the main event and he didn't know anyone who could provide him with proper clothes for the ball. The only thing Leo had in his inventory was his armor and a set of urban clothes he wore whenever he wasn't fighting. Showing up in battle armor would be beyond rude, so Leo had no choice but look like a common pleb when everyone and their mothers would show some class and decency. " humph, whatever, I'm sure I wont be the only one without proper clothes, most people who play mmos don't really care about these things too much" He said to himself in an attempt to raise up his confidence and then he headed inside the venue. Boy was he wrong. Everyone inside were all perfectly clothed, girls wore pretty dresses and guys were all suited up. He had just entered and he already felt awkward, he was standing out for the worst reasons possible. He continued walking while trying to be as natural as possible, fortunately it didn't take long for him to find his new guild master with a growing crowd of people around him. Actually, what Leo saw first wasn't Hirosame at all, what caught his attention were the beautiful girls with classy clothes around him, the wolf hair had to look a second time to even acknowledge Hiro's presence, " Well, at least the sight here is pretty". Leo tried to make his way to hirosame but before he arrived he saw the little guardian Caerbannog and the assassin Kumori, those two were a bit closer in distance than Hiro so Leo detoured and saluted them first. Upon closer inspection, Leo noticed that the wolf hair guardian was wearing a dress a bit...revealing on her lower half. He quickly scoffed away that thought and greeted them, " So you guys are here too? it's nice to see you again after so long, and you Caerbannog you look really...." exposed? half dressed? pants showing? " Festive today!" " Anyway, I need to greet the one who invited me today, we'll catch up later okay?" He said to the two of them and then returned to on his way to meet Hirosame. The crowd around him was growing and Leo was the only one not wearing something proper for this event, he started to question if it was really a good idea to greet him like that. " Hello, Hiro, I got your invitation" He said to his guild master. He wondered if some of the people around him were apocrypha members, anyway it was only polite that he introduced himself to the others, " Nice to meet you all, I'm Stryke, a new member of Hiro's guild. Oh, and sorry for my clothing, I didn't have time to find proper ones." WC: 689 Outfit: link

Skills used for pointless artisitic flare: Fist of Boras, Hellfire Overdrive and Bullet Punch. No landers were hurt in the making of this commercial.“Ride ‘arder! We are almost thure laddies!”Amidst the flurry of snowfall the Dwarf completed the last examination of his stock as the big bulky carriage trundled up the mountain up the mountain trail, loaded with some of the finest liquor known to man. With hefty clap and a hearty laugh the dwarf clambered around the outside of the carrage and parked himself in the drivers seat as he grasped the whip and sent the cord out into the nights sky with a loud crack, the squeals of boar kind vibrated through the crisp night, punctuated by the flowers of snowfall. Yes, the dwarf rode the carriage alone through the winter spell propelled by no less than nine boars! His mighty Iron Gerald at the front of the pack with Timberling boars strapped into harnesses, the carriage trundled along with all the speed and grave that their stubby legs could offer. Only a truly demented mind or an Warhammer Orc player could truly dream up of such an invented "You're a bastard Dwarf! What part of traveling in the maw of the ice demon was a good idea!"A squall bellow erupted from the dwarfs throat as the glowing lights of the Snowdonia Arena, the tallest point in all of the lost Kingdoms shimmered up ahead on the winding road. The end was in sight! "Ahhh shut up Swagtusk! These children need a healthy dose of Christmas spirit and boars are the only steed noble enough to push through the winter!"The Dwarf coughed (a side effect of imitating the inconveniences of boar speak for so long) as the boulder of a man rose to stand erect upon his chariot. The grey overcoat billowed around in the wind as he directed his whip between the hairy quadrupeds as he rumbled up to the final stretch, his fist begain to glow with white light. "Go Swagtusk, go Dasher go Prancer go Bronie go- Oh sod it, move it bitches! Prepare for ramming speed! GET THE DOORS OPEN ‘N’ GET CLEAR!”With a squeal and a rumble the Dwarf’s mobile chariot kicked into overdrive, the landers in question just stared at the rumbling carriage and after a brief, futile attempt to wave the Dwarf down the doors swung open and the carriage thundered through with a loud clatter. As it came the weather was dragged through with it and with a cast of the arm he released the fist of boras into the ball room. An immense plume of frost splashed against the roof and diffused harmlessly downward to wash across the entire ball room in a fine mist. There was no immediate noise as the shadow hopped off the drivers seat and with a deft flick of the wrist cut the harnesses to release the boars in a miniature stampede! As they saught places to rest a deep voice cut across the silence in song as he strode around the carriage as the hatches imbedded into the carriage were unclipped, exposing the miniature bar within stacked with rows of fine, hand crafted liquor. "When the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful, since we got no place ta goo, let it snow let it snow let it snow. When ta weather out there is chilly, 'n' some of these lassies dresses too frilly, ya just have ta let it show, let et show let et show, let et show!"Then, in a single erupt movement the dwarf whipped his overcoat off and erupted in bright red flame, a fury of blows struck the cloth as it flew towards the guests only to disintegrate into embers that dissipated harmlessly, the mist between the Dwarf and the others evaporated into it as his Dwarf’s very presence shimmered with an unearthly heat. The attire consisted of a snow white tuxedo with a bright red waist coat and pink shirt and in a smooth motion the Dwarf reached deep into his pockets and withdrew a pair of gold rimmed sunglasses and snapped them on, his sharp blue gaze subdued under the rose pink lens’s. It was then that throaty roar echoed through the ball room. “Ho ho ho! I’mma bad mofo! WHO'S BEEN NAUGHTEH OR NICE TIS EVE! In either case tha’ bar oaf ta half strider is now open! Drink’s up parteh people!”With a sharp click of his fingers, the hellfire overdrive aura flicked out. Tobin Strider, the bastard dwarf of Aeryn was here to provide a shower and I don't mean christmas cheer! And that my friends, is how you enter a thread like an idol without the class feature! WC: 750 (A bit shabby, but hopefully you all like! WOOOOO PARTEHHH And sorry for the picture not being of Dwarf. XD)

Magma's current appearance: LinkMagma opened the doors to the ball slowly and thought if he was doing the right thing by going. Magma was a little shy and was scared to dance. Dancing is something he hoped he would never have to do in his life. He had no idea how to dance, he wasn't afraid of dancing in general, he was just scared of getting judged by others, plus he didn't have a date at the moment, so he just decided to sit at an empty table. Magma was quiet for a while and kept to his self. He had an annoying suit that made him look like a prince......which he wasn't. He was hoping no one pointed it out throughout the duration of the ball. His main purpose here was to make friends. He made a personal goal of making at least one friend at this ball. He started to walk around and saw that lot's of people were here, but which one would talk to him, which person would add him to their friends list, which one would not just abandon him. Magma knew his qualities well, but couldn't bring himself to talk to someone. What if they joked about his suit. He decided to just sit for a while and work up some courage before engaging in conversation. He saw many people that he knew, like Klide and Chauren, which isn't alot, but it was a good amount. He also made a couple more goals, he wanted to dance with someone and talk to someone during this event. After a little bit of waiting, he just got up and walked up to Klide. "H-Hi Klide." Magma slowly waved to Klide. His ears wiggled a bit as if he nervous, which he was. He didn't know the majority of the people at the ball, and it annoyed him a little. Magma then approached Chauren and waved saying hi while blushing and his ears twitching. "H-Hi Chauren."
After Magma said his greetings, he just went back to the table he was at and put his head down.

Of the ball, Nu could be certain of two things: The first, was that Nisha had invited her with the suggestion that such an event might be really, really fun. The second, was that Nisha had said something to her about an escort for the party, of whom, she had never met. The first, was more than enough motivation, and Nu was certainly curious about what the upper echelons of lander-adventurer society might be up to, of the second, Nu had heard nothing. That was just was well, Nu was inclined to go anyway, curiosity and the allure of an open bar drew her along the snowy trail with hardly a complaint. Nu liked walking, and she cited a Robert Frost poem as she went: The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep…Finishing the line, Nu breathed a deep, satisfied, visible sigh. Watching it drift upward through the atmosphere, she smiled. This had been a beautiful hike, and the party itself, she figured, would make for a wonderful contrast to her current introspective, solitary, mood. “Maybe he got cold feet,” Nu laughed, kicking up snow as she went. The pun wasn’t lost on her. Thinking of dancing, Nu hummed Pachelbel’s Cannon and in time matched her now waltzy march to the wispy tune. The absolute silence of the forest had its charm, but after all, Nu couldn’t help but leave her mark on it. As the child-like old-soul continued onward, she heard the hooves of a coming horse, but never considered stopping. They could pass and she could continue, just as well. The horse did stop for a halting moment however, and Nu with raised eyebrows of amusement continued to fill the silence with her voice. Echoing back, some deeply rich princely voice called out to her in a way so pompous that Nu nearly snorted her entire tune all the way back into her lungs. “No,” she answered laughing. “If I’m to be a fairy I’m afraid I’m a greedy one. The only wishes I would see answered are my own~!”But the voice continued booming noble favors in request of some sort of blessing leaving Nu to decide that not only was this some lander noble she was dealing with, but also that this world was still very much a game, bad writing and all. Turning the corner of the trail and moving aside an errant bush to make herself fully visible, Nu presented herself to the hilarious pompous 'Baron Flamboyant' who looked everything the part of some renaissance painting, if only, for the addition, of some elementary schooler’s graffiti mustache. How could she not ask for a ride? Horses were interesting after all, and this man, every bit more so! Nu had won the game, she considered, nobody’s entrance could possibly match this. Nu listened to the man as they went the final legs of the journey: about the family he had sent ahead of him for worry of delaying them with his extra work, more specifically, about a cute daughter around Nu’s ‘age’ who was all the rage to meet these superhuman 'heroes' and a doting wife who Nu assumed really wasn’t that much older. Nodding along to this or that, she let herself be conveyed, all the while still humming her song softly to urge on the man's excited words. Nu had taken an interest in the baron, to the point, she wondered, if he was really not so terribly written after all. Human even. *** (Caption: An amazing work of art perfectly depicting Nu's radiance.)
When they at last made their entrance then, it was in happy friendship. The crier announced Baron Von something or other (Nu wasn’t really listening) and in accompaniment, 'The Blessed Snow Fairy of Ester Lake'. Nu nearly tripped for want of biting her lip to contain her laughter. She was dressed nearly as always before: Lolita Alice fashion in colors black and purples with bows and frills all around. To accent, and for the sake of variety, Nu had pilfered a single fine red window drape of velvet to use as a muslin and shawl from her guild's hall at Westminster Abbey. She was sure it wouldn’t be missed. The length was troublesome though, so Nu had assigned two of her summons, a pair of sylph fairies, to bear the load like the attendants to a bride’s wedding tress. Needless to say, the whole situation was as splendorous as it was so completely ridiculous. And all the while, without really meaning it, maybe Nu had made some massive strides forward in an unintended diplomatic mission. She wasn't sure, she was looking for the bar.

Post by Raniya on Dec 19, 2014 11:46:21 GMT
Why did they have to put this stupid dance all the way in the middle of nowhere in the middle of stupid winter? Raniya sighed as she lightly complained to herself. It would not have been so bad if she had not had to travel so many hours by horseback in the freezing cold to get here. What made it worse was that she had to dismount and hide in the snow a few times in order to avoid the giant metallic demon some adventurers referred to as "Train". How they were not frightened of it as they should be, she would never know. It's piercing howl through the night sky would haunt her dreams for many days to come. Raniya approached the massive building from the rear and pushed her horse Miguel to continue on the last bit to the stables. Leading him inside to the rather rare styled stable that was entirely enclosed she hopped off and stretched before finding him a stall. There wouldn't be as much of a problem with the elements as the stable was fully enclosed but Raniya grabbed a blanket hooked on the wall and stretched it out over the horse just to make sure he stayed warm. She then turned to head to what she thought was the main entrance of the facility. It had been years since she had last been to a dance, so she was really looking forward to it. A big smile worked it's way across her face as she made her way across the snowy access road to the where the event was. That smile of hers did not last all that long as she made her way inside. It was immediately clear that this was NOT on the level of anything she had previously attended or even dreamed of attending. This was a party for nobles and adventurers who looked like nobles. It could not even begin to be compared to a village dance or festival. She recalled the look in the eyes of her boss when he told her to come here to the "dance". He knew full well what was waiting here for me and was eagerly awaiting the tale. He is so dead. The cheerful mood she had entered the door with evaporated as she took off her cloak and hung her coat by the door. Raniya thinking that this was a more normal dance had come completely unprepared next to her peers. She was wearing a puffy, long-sleeved white cotton blouse with a high and very long blue skirt. A bodice covered her torso and chest. She was thankful that she decided against wearing the low cut one but then became instantly irritated as she remembered that decision was based on her elven body not having very much to show off. To put it simply, Raniya was dressed in a way quite similar to the wenches running around serving drinks and taking care of the guests and nobles. The only one who didn't seem to be better dressed than her was a scruffy looking wolf-hair awkwardly wading through the crowd. She didn't envy him at all, rather she was in the same position. She crossed her right arm across her chest and nervously scratched along the length of her left ear. Um... What can I really do here? I'm supposed to meet and talk with people but I'm too nervous to do anything now. What was it father used to say about opening up? Raniya shook it off and started to look around. As she scanned the room she saw the gazes of the nobles as if they were asking why she wasn't hurrying with her work, and those of the adventurers completely oblivious to everything but themselves. This was not going to be an easy night. Then she zeroed in on her target. She swiftly walked across the large room with a purpose as the words of her father flooded back into her mind. She pulled up a stool as she sat down at the counter. If you are drunk enough, you can talk to anyone with ease. "Bartender, give me something hard."**Basically because of a misunderstanding she's attending wearing country girl clothing. It's essentially a long sleeved and blue skirt version of This or this Note- Raniya also doesn't have much in the way of curves

Kumori was slightly disappointed with himself as he did had forgotten to tailor a jacket that would fit Caerbannog while she was outside in the cold. The tailor sighed heavily and tried to remedy the situation outside by allowing her to use his own jacket. But instead, Ryuu decided to hug his wife as tightly as possible so that all of the heat would transfer, kissed her on the forehead, and then allowed her to cling onto his arm. She was probably cold, and Ryuu wanted to keep her warm, in more ways than one. Wink! Ryuu looked up when Caerbannog pointed at Hirosame. He was the leader of Apocrypha and the co-leader of the AAA, also known as the Aeryn-Apocrypha Alliance. They had decided that their alliance would be beneficial to both parties as well as allowing for new research that would continue to allow progress for the people of Londinium, and by proxy, Elder Tales. Hiro was working on a collaboration project for trains, that Aeryn was helping to fund as well as provide help for. It would be a difficult project to undertake, however the two guild masters were both ambitious. They wanted to help travelers, both Landers and adventurers to benefit from their inventions. Ryuu raised his hand and waved towards the monk he had fought alongside with against the great Stonehenge Giant. Looking around the venue, he noticed a lot of familiar dresses and suits. Ryuu commented to himself that he had made many of the attire that was being worn here today. He decided to keep the comment to himself as the occasion was not for himself but for Christmas and the Winter Ball. He enjoyed seeing people out and about, and he reveled in the possibility that he would get to dance with his wife. He just had to keep her away from the cake for a bit longer. In Hiro’s wake were several women. You dog! Ryuu recognized most of them. One was Midori who was the Co-leader to Apocrypha. It only made sense for her to tag along. The others were Charuen and Lavinia who were already convening and meeting each other. Ryuu was about to go towards the group, but his wife had pulled on his arm and held it even closer to her. She asked if there was cake. Stryke was among the people who were around his friends as well as Blue, who was a member of Apocrypha and someone who had commissioned him to make her dress. There was also a girl named @sugarygiggles who was trying her best to fit in. “Yes dear, there is always cake at parties, and if Hirosame wanted this party to be amazing, he had better have made some cake!” he said. He wanted to shout it to Hirosame telepathically, but he decided against it. It wasn’t long before Kyuu had found her way to a glass of alcohol and downed it. And then she burped loudly. Ryuu shook his head but couldn’t help but smile at the cuteness that was Caer. He patted her head and led her to the group of Apocrypha-Aeryn members. As he led his wife towards the group, Ryuu looked at Kyuu and warned her: “Try to pace your drinking, okay? I know you like to drink, but getting drunk is better for bars and when we’re at home, okay baby?” he asked. He waited for a response before further progressing towards the group. “Hello everyone. I hope all of you are having a fine evening so far,” he said. “It’s a nice day to dance… care to join us on the dance floor?”The music of the ball was playing loudly, and there was plenty of open space in the dancing floor. Ryuu looked at his wife and extended his hand in front of her. “Would you care to dance, milady? It will warm you up,” he said. If she didn’t know how, Ryuu was prepared to help her. The 3 step slow-dance was an easy thing to do and learn quite quickly. After his wife would grab his hand, he would lead her to the floor, but not before whispering to @0x1dea’s ear. “Ask Charuen to dance… I think she’ll be flattered,” he said. If he looked at him as Ryuu departed from the group, Ryuu would wink at him and smile. He then spoke up louder: “Come, Lavinia, go get your date, and dance with him. I’m sure you want to dance a bit, as well,” he said to her. Her date, if she had one, was nowhere to be seen. It wasn’t by her side, but a girl like Lavinia? She had to have brought someone. Ryuu positioned Kyuu’s hands. Her left and his right hand were clasped together, and he held it up. He then placed her hand on his upper back and he placed his own hand on her lower back, right above her butt. Ryuu then went slowly, first, off-beat, in order to show her the simple 3-step dance. For him, it was forward step, right step, back step. For her, it would be back step, left step, front step. “Follow my lead, my dear, and don’t worry about stepping on my toes. I know, once you get used to it, you’ll love it,” he said to her. He hoped that the rest of the group would follow his lead and start to dance as well.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________A slient moon casts a luminescent glow a midst the twinkling stars that weaved intricate patterns that painted the heavens on the blissful night. Angel tears froze and fell into gentle flakes that cascaded down with divine descension, altering the temperature of the frigid winds that blew over the city streets. The smell of fresh baked pastries as hints of cinnamon spices filled the air and tantalized the senses. The snow lightly covered the city streets as many civilians were hard at work clearing the streets from the light frost fall that blanketed it.
A magical, whimsical evening it was that night indeed. The light clapping of purple heels the color of finest french wine pattered upon the surface alongside the polished black dress shoes of the suave gentleman Bailin who was dressed in a refined manner that exuded his naturally charming charisma.
The dress Saskia wore was symbol of elegance. The dress was in a dark berry purple silk, the flowery design around the breasts was following down the stomach line with enough spacing to suggest a little dark clothing. The breast were well highlighted with such a design yet it wasn't rude or suggesting anything else. The long sleeve gloves just slightly over the elbow was a brilliant concept, without mentioning that the dress revealed just enough skin for it to be chic a classy. The soft fabric would perfectly grace her feminine body which - let's not hide it - was a celestial beauty. It was like a fantasy dress you could only see in Anime's or read in books... She was like a princess in her gown.
A gentle ivory arm, soft to the touch, locked itself around Bailin's arm as they took their enchanting stroll through the city. A warm strawberry pink smile upon her face as she she began to burst with excitement and anticipation. Her fluorescent pink hair flowed her neck like falling rose petals- an her sapphire gems in tandem with the tiny beauty mark above her left eye and perfectly arched eyebrows displayed an entrancing allure which was therefore- indescribably beautiful.
Saskia felt a deep sense of sweet serenity. She never enjoyed being in suit of armor her entire time in the world, which little else to offer for clothing in the manner of exuding feminine charms. She hugged Bailin's arm tighter as they made their way to the building.
The fancy establishment exuded a rather classy nature of refinement, fit for the the most wonderous of nobility. It was an honor to walk up these stairs as Bailin curled his masculine fingers upon the door, allowing her to enter.
She nodded her head lightly in an elegant manner as the woman both stellar and igniting, fably attractive and sublime, entered into the gorgeous ballroom, the first thing that caught her eye was the marvelous crystal chandeliers and exquisite architecture of the inside. It was unlike the moss covered buildings in the rest of the city. The landers here took great care in making sure everything was as neat as clean as possible to ensure the utmost sense of hospitality to their adventurer guests.
Her gaze lowered towards the dinner tables as sophisticated men and women mingled amongst each other between rushing waiters and waitresses. Saskia squinted towards the group as she played with the blue floral accessory that adorned her wrist.
Her eyes recognized two young ladies, Charuen and Nursery Rhyme out of the group from the night after her first death in the game which she arrived at the Cathedral. They were part of some guild, if Saskia remembered correctly. She had the liberty of sharing breakfast and fine drink with them and had made a nice acquaintenceship with them. She gave each a silent and gentle small, along when a nod, assuring them she was assure of their presence.
She didn't really know many people and was content with just spending quality time with Bailin, but wasn't adverse to the idea of mingling with the crowd and making new friends.
"Where shall we start first, my leading man?" Saskia smiled warmly as she spoke in a sophisticated posh accent, a trait she picked up from childhood while living with her mother, as her sapphire earrings dangled gently. she glanced towards the dinner table, the bar, then towards the crowd. All viable options indeed, but surrendering headship to Bailin to steer this ship whichever way he pleased.
Her soft angelic features were highlighted as the bright light stroke against her radiant skin and her hair sparkled as the illustrious strands began to dance like a low riding wave, as she tilted her head around the room. Her glance once more returned to her handsome date for the night.
"You look rather handsome and charming on this evening, Sir Bailin. And you were absolutely right about Mitsu'. He is a extremely talented tailor. I have to say, I am quite impressed with his work. And even more impressed with you for finding such a diamond in the rough in such short notice."
Saskia was enthralled with the beauty of her dress and it still made her giggle as she looked down at it, rubbing her fingers across the soft silk, she grinned wide like a prom queen on prom night, as she stood smiling at Bailin before a blaring voice came booming and making a rather stunning entrance.
"When the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful, since we got no place ta goo, let it snow let it snow let it snow. When ta weather out there is chilly, 'n' some of these lassies dresses too frilly, ya just have ta let it show, let et show let et show, let et show!"
Saskia burst out into laughter, barely able to contain herself at the crazy Dwarf's hilarious song. He held a very unique charisma and sense of entertainment that astonished Saskia and brought a bright smile to her face.
“Ho ho ho! I’mma bad mofo! WHO'S BEEN NAUGHTEH OR NICE TIS EVE! In either case tha’ bar oaf ta half strider is now open! Drink’s up parteh people!”
Uh oh. There goes that Scottish twitch in her eye. Why did the damn dwarf have to mention getting boozed up in such an informal and sloppy manner.
"Oi, Bailin, looky there is' a wee Dwarf! Well, I'll be damned! It's freaking Gimli from Lord of the Rings! And he's brought booze! Oh hellllll yes! We're getting drunk as a skunk now, screw this posh crap, let's go kick it with the cool guy! You only live once! Well, screw it we got infinite lives right, so we won't die from alcohol poisoning! Or maybe we will? Let's test that theory! Maybe we can drink ourselves straight into the cathedral!" Saskia cackled as she released Bailin's arm and carefully tiptoed towards the Dwarf before smiling cheerfully and pumping a fist in the air.
"Oi, my brother brewer! Let's drink these posh bastards under the table! Hook me up with a flagon of the meanest drink 'ye 'ave!" Saskia shouted with a vibrant glare.
Elizabeth: Just what the hell do you think you are doing?
Hope: Oi, piss off! I'm tired of you and all your snobby theatrics you bloody saxon wench! I'm taking over for the rest of this night! Sassy's got to get some drinks in her system! It's fuel for the soul!
Saskia's eyes danced with a mischievous glare as the voices scrambled within her head, foreshadowing a rather bizarre turn of events for the night indeed.

Walking along the streets on the moonlit night Bailin’s thoughts drifted back to the meeting of the two of them on a night that was rather similar to this one, though neither of them were dressed as fancy as they were now. Sneaky Bailin took a quick peek at Lady Steelheart, whom was gently holding on to his arm, the warmth of her body being felt through his sleeves. She looked absolutely stunning and he feared he would have to compete with at least a dozen potential suitors for either her favour or attention. Of course he was, by now, aware of some of her personality quirks but she was smart, funny and for him at least easy to be around with. The party however he slightly dreaded, he could dance the dance but never liked it much. Sunken in thought Bailin barely registered the Landers at work or anything else that did not involve the lady, because she was in physical contact with him, unlike the others around them. Taking another peek he observed the little details Mitsu had managed to put into the dress, especially the flowers put onto the purple silk, accentuating the lady’s physical demeanour. She looked amazing. If one would look at them from the sides, it would most likely and most probably look like one of those movies scenes where the couple or heroes would walk off in fancy clothes. Walking further through the streets the lady hugged his arm tighter, something he didn’t mind at all, showing his delight with a gentle smile. A few moments later they had reached their destination. Placing his hand on the doorknob Bailin turned it and opened the door, being greeted by light, music and the sound of a lot of people being in the same room. Softly mumbling, being drowned out by the other noises Bailin said: “Wow, would you look at this place, it’s so shiny.” As he observed the entire place, seeing people walking about, being waited, dancing, drinking and snacking. Together, with his beauty on his arm they strode in, while the lady played with the jewellery on her wrist. It made him laugh a bit on the inside, it looked cute and funny, perhaps even innocent, though after having heard how she could talk if she let the posh accent go, the picture in his mind became even funnier. Suddenly she smiled, probably at people she knew, Bailin thought he had seen some people he had met as well, but their faces were drowned out in the turmoil of new faces, thus making him decide he wouldn’t bother with looking for familiar faces and just go with the flow. A few steps further in the lady asked him where he wanted to start the party off, smiling as she kept up her accent. It suited her more when she was wearing the dress, accentuating the grace and beauty she had in it. The light of the chandelier shone upon her face and Bailin was only able to stare at her face as his mouth slightly opened in awe, thinking ‘wow’. Before he could formulate a plan and response she complimented both him and Mitsu; Mitsu for his work and him for his connections. Finding the gem was just a matter of finding the right Lander, but it was a nice compliment and it was another plus on his record, making him feel happy and almost tingly inside. Taking her hands into his Bailin was ready to propose the plan for the night or at least the first stop for the evening. But before he could voice his plan, there came from somewhere out of the room a booming voice, singing another version of one of the famous Christmas songs. The slightly Scottish accent swept his date from her feet as she started laughing after hearing the song, turning her head as to see the origin of the song. As she spotted the Dwarf she continued laughing until she broke her accent, again, said something about the other guests being ‘posh bastards’, and suggesting she could drink all of them under, drinking till they’d reach alcohol poisoning, dying from it and reviving at the cathedral. ‘I’d love to see you try.’ He thought as she let go of his hands and ran off, shouting something he couldn’t hear, her voice being a tad softer than the dwarf’s. Staring for a second to examine her back Bailin figured he had nothing to lose and honestly didn’t care much for the other partygoers as he probably didn’t know that many of them. So he decided to join his date and the dwarf for drinks. “Greetings master dwarf, I heard you before I saw you and dreadfully sorry, I’ve always wanted to make a short joke about dwarfs, but seeing the real world lacks true dwarfs…” he shouted grinning to the dwarf. “So, your bar is open, what can you recommend for the lady? I myself would prefer a glass of whiskey if you would be so mightily kind and able to accommodate.” he continued grinning, thinking ‘Oh boy, the lass and booze, this should become interesting… though I suspect we can all laugh about this next week, when the hangover is gone.’

You notice a man standing on a higher balcony of the building overlooking the view from the ballroom. "Attention, guests! We will be hosting a dance competition for the next 30 minutes (15 posts). Dance on your own or with a partner. Participants will receive rewards for your entertainment."With that, a spotlight shines up the center stage.

...Just how many people did Hiro invite?
Hiro looked up at the door, just as he heard a familiar voice ring out. Hiro smiled widely, as he stood up, holding his hand out to @0x1dea. "I know this guy!" He responded to the guardian, before sitting back down. "Things have been fine, guild's been nice and calm." He reclined in the seat a bit, answering the rest of the dapper Ox's questions. "Well, not for anybody in particular, but I'm sure as hell glad my bro decided to be the second to the party." Hiro smiled at Ox as he said this, holding out his fist to bump. "Just thought this table would be nice and-" Hiro was cut off by the sudden influx of waiters and waitresses, passing by the table, and a moment later, a rather well-dressed woman had fallen into Ox's lap. Not really, but still, an interesting way for Charuen to show up at a party. Hiro laughed a little bit, and raised the glass of water that was there at the table for anyone to drink out of. "Pleased to see you here, too, Charuen." He took a swig of the water, before putting it back on the table. "Glad you both could make it." He said, calmly, and with a warm smile.
It was about this time that a red-headed female walked into the establishment, a red head that he had seen before. Hiro smiled at the girl as she made her way over. It was a bit different to see Lavinia in a dress of such magnitude. However, it fit her quite well, she looked very nice. "Hey, Lavinia!" Hiro said, waving over at her. He didn't stand up anymore, since he figured it would probably become annoying to stand up whenever anybody came in to stand up, just to say hi. That was reserved for Brox. Despite this, though, another beautifully dressed woman had shown up, but it was someone whom Hiro had never met before. His head turned to face the girl who had shown up, but finding himself unable to speak for a few moments. "Uhh... Yeah, please do." Hiro put a smile on, and motioned for the girl to take the seat next to him. The tables were big enough to potentially fit everybody at it, so it wasn't like there wasn't room. Besides, this girl, @sugarygiggles she said her name was, looked beautiful. Hiro couldn't help but ask her to sit next to him. "Call me Hiro." He said to her, smiling all the while.
He wanted to talk more to this girl, just to get to know her, but as luck would have it, more and more people showed up. Midori had shown up out of the blue, having taken a seat already. She seemed like she was rather enraptured with the drink and candy cane she had brought with her, so he gave her a wave and a nod. "Welcome, Midori. Good to see you, as always." Not a very noble greeting, but still a greeting nonetheless. Hopefully, Midori wouldn't mind the short greeting. After Midori, came in Blue, who was dressed in a very wonderful dress that reminded the monk of a character from a long time ago. Hiro had spoken with Blue about potentially performing with him here at the event, to which she seemed to be on board with. A gentle nod to the lady, and that would suffice the greeting of her, for now, anyways. Perhaps they would greet each other in a better fashion once they had begun their music. For now, though, he figured that he would let Blue do her thing. Whenever she was ready, all she needed to do was tell Hiro, and he would be up there, playing music along with her.
A Banshee howl that Hiro had become accustomed to by now was heard from the entrance of the establishment, potentially turning the heads of all the people that attending. Hiro chuckled a bit, as @dindeen had fully made her entrance, in a rather cold-looking, yet adorable dress. He assumed that Kumori had made the clothing for her, on her very specific demands. Hiro waved at the two as they made their collective entrance, giving them the best greeting he could from so far away. Also, the burps that could be heard for miles caused him to lose himself in laughter. A few moments of laughing later, Hiro looked over to see Stryke, one of the newest additions to Apocrypha. Hiro stood up, and greeted the man with a handshake. "Thanks for coming, Stryke. Glad to have you here!" He put a hand on the shoulder of the strong Swashbuckler, then returned to his seat. "A formal introduction, eh?" He spoke, as Stryke introduced himself. Hiro motioned to one of the seats. "Please, everybody, take a seat where you like. Party's only just beginning!"
As he said this, he could hear a rumbling from the door, as a tall, well dressed black man Dwarf had barged his way into the building, making an immaculate showing of his disintegrating cloak. It seemed that Tobin was in high spirits today. Perhaps, too high of a spirit. Maybe he'd had 6 too many drink before showing up. Or, maybe he's just having some fun showing up to the party. Hiro raised his glass to the dwarf. "The party's just arrived!" Hiro shouted from across the room, taking a long drink of the water. After the dwarf's entrance, a woman began to scream after him, as well as, sure enough, Bailin had also arrived. Hiro waved to the young Warden/Mechanic, making note of his rather sophisticated attire. A few other people, whom Hiro didn't know, had arrived, as well as Lavinia's date, so he assumed. Hiro nodded to the man as he walked up to the young girl, a smile ever present on his face. Now, since all his introductions were done, he figured he might as well be a good host, and talk to the lady whom had so graciously appeared before them, and asked to join their company.
Hiro turned his head, and looked over at the girl known as Artemisia, a smile still on his face. He set the glass down, preparing to speak to the young lady. "Well, I apologize for the sudden appearance of so many people, as some of which arrived of my own accord." He shrugged a bit. "I sent out a lot of invites to friends and guild members. Never can have too many friends!" Hiro said, leaning onto the table a bit. "So, what caused you to walk on over here? Just the appearance of so many people in one area, or perhaps you were intrigued by the company whom had arrived?" Probably a bit too many questions for the lady, but he couldn't help it. When a pretty girl walks up to you, and asks to join you, it's hard to keep a level head about things. He decided to keep his mouth shut for a bit, to let her answer any of the questions she may have. He had to admit, though, he was caught off guard by this. He thought that it might be the exact opposite of what Midori thought. It would only be people that they knew would show up and talk to them. So, this was a bit of a welcomed turn of events. Perhaps he'd make a new friend here, this very evening?
While he listened to the girl respond to his questions, if she had at all, a man with a large Mohawk in a suit and tie appeared above them all, to address the adventurers and those whom had gathered here. Something about a dance competition, and a spotlight having been shined upon the center stage. Hiro thought about it for a moment, and figured that he might as well give something a shot. Hiro returned his gaze to Artemisia, and smiled. He motioned with his head towards the stage, and asked, "Would you care to dance?" A noble request, at least, he thought so. Maybe not to attend the competition, but more to enjoy the music and dance with a lady. Perhaps the others would think the same and ask someone else to go up and dance with them, so it wouldn't be so awkward for Hiro. What he feared was that it may become rather strange and awkward for Artemisia, having just arrived somewhere and then some guy she's sitting next to asks her to dance. Perhaps a flaw of his own character, but he was very inclusive of all the people around him. At least, he tried to be. Hiro extended his hand out to her, and stood up, offering to bring her to the floor. If she accepted it, he would lead her to the dance floor. If not, then, he'd sit back down, and try talking with her some more. Everybody's gotta have backup plans! Always makes things that much better, and probably less stressful.
