The Guardian nodded as he listened to Hiro after returning the fist bump, leaning back in his chair as he felt himself begin to calm down. For some reason, attending social events such as this tend to made Ox nervous, but as he began to chat with his bro, that all went away. That is, until he felt a tug on his arm, seeing the unmistakable shade of pink hair belonging to a beautiful woman in a beautiful dress. Ox gave her a warm smile as she greeted him, the urge to tease her rising within. “Are you sure it was just an accident, or were you just looking for an excuse to get your hands on me?” he asked, an arched eyebrow and a teasing grin on his face as he asked her his question. He let out a small laugh of his own when he saw her reaction to his inquiry. He then stood up and offered the mesmerizing Cleric a chair next to him, not wanting to keep her standing as he answered her questions.
“Ah, I’m just pulling your leg. Great to see you again, by the way,” he said, giving her another smile. “Nah, we were the first to arrive, so naturally, we just sat here until things started getting underway,” he replied in answer to Charuen’s last question.
At this point, more and more people began to crowd the ballroom, each one doing their own thing. He recognized Lavinia from the Alliance meet, giving her a polite nod and a friendly grin as she approached the current party’s table. Another young lady made their way towards their table, a player Ox had never seen before. However, Hiro seemed to have things under control, his Monk friend standing as well to offer the new arrival a chair. He gave his bro a solemn nod of approval, flashing an ‘OK’ sign with his hand as discretely as he could without drawing too much attention to himself. Midori, another fellow Alliance member, had snuck in somewhere along the way, claiming another seat at the table. Soon, Blue showed up, talking to everyone at the table as well. Did the all the players involved with AAA manage to arrive?
Apparently not, for three other members managed to make their way over to the group’s table. The first two were Kumori and his wife (Caer being on point for making her presence known), the third being the token dwarf making an excellent entrance (along with the bonus of bringing refreshments), and the forth being a new face. Apparently, he knew Hiro and was a part of his guild, so any friend of his bro was a friend of his as well.
Sometime amongst all the fraternizing, a large spotlight lit up the stage, an announcement about an ad-hoc dance contest would be taking place during the next 30 minutes. Normally, Ox would sit back and watch, but at the whispered suggestion of his guild leader, the Guardian found himself standing up and offering the crook of his arm to the lovely lady beside him. “Would you object if I were to ask you to join me for a dance?” he asked, mentally preparing himself in case she were to shut him down. If, by some miracle, she agreed to his offer, then he’d lead them to the dance floor, trying his best not to step on her toes while simultaneously trying not to trip over his own as they danced.
To be honest, the idea of asking someone to dance terrified this somewhat-introverted individual, but seeing as how he was amongst friends here, he didn’t think it would really matter if he ended up looking like a fool. But he sure as hell wasn’t going to try to look like one.

Tag: @blazeedge Lavinia smiles at the group of her friends and allies, everyone she hopped would be here was kept for Kitty and Balore. She figured Balore wouldn't be here unless he had a date, but she figured the handsome guardian shouldn't have a problem find one. Kitty was another story altogether, the enchantress couldn't come up with a reason why her and her new waifu couldn't be here. Guess she was busy. Anyway, everyone was here, Tobin made a fantastic entrance, something Lavinia expected from the rumors she had heard about the dwarf. Kumori and Caerbannog made their entrance, and many other people Lavinia recognized or didn't know also showed up. But Lavinia didn't see Klide yet, she was starting to worry if he stood her up. As she listened to the group converse, Kumori's words about finding her date confused her. "Klide's here?..." she says and looks around for him, and there he was behind her waiting.
Turning to him Lavinia gives him a shy blushed smile, he looked dashing in his outfit. Lavinia wondered who made it since Klide didn't seem to be the type to pick tailor for a crafting class, although she could be wrong. Walking over to him still wearing her shy smile "Hey Klide. You look great... Do you like my dress?"she says softly to him, he really did look striking. "So... I've never been to a dance, I have no idea what to do. I'm kinda out of my element" she says giving him another shy smile and shrugging slightly. Lavinia and Klide could go get refreshments and just chat, or socialize with the others after all Klide hasn't met any of Lavinia's friends yet or they could go dance. She wanted to do all of them at some point tonight, she wanted to try a alcoholic drink. Just one, back in the real world she would never be allowed, but here those rules didn't apply. She also wanted to dance with Klide, Char, Hiro and even Caerbannog and Kumori. Lavinia would leave what they do up to Klide for now, she had some plans but like she said, Lavinia is out of her element here and didn't know what to do. Klide had been up against the wall nearest the door since he had entered. He kept fighting with himself mentally, trying to get the guts to go over to Lavinia. He did not want her to think he was avoiding her. Honestly, Klide was just very timid, especially when in a new situation like this. He was always really shy around new people, unless they were on the other side of his sword, or helping him with something on the other side of his sword. Klide stood alone, looking at all the people crowding together. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves, some flirting, whilst others simply fist bumped or held each other close to themselves. He saw Lavinia looking around a few times, maybe looking for him. He felt bad for abandoning her like he had. Klide walked towards her, deciding at that moment that he would not let his fears control him. He made that a silent promise to himself. Even if it cost him his life, he would not abandon someone just because he was afraid. Never again. Klide was close to Lavinia now. He was about to say something in apology, but she turned, seemingly surprised that he was suddenly there. She was blushing in the most adorable of ways. Klide felt his face burn brighter than the hottest embers in a smithy's forge. He quietly thanked her for complementing his appearance, and was in awe of her beauty himself. "By god yes! Lavinia, you look exquisite. Honestly, you look like someone out of a dream. As for being out of your element, your talking to a guy who hid against a wall for the past few minutes." Klide let out a small chuckle. "But I am sorry for that, seems my cowardice got the best of me. As I am sure you can assume, I am far better with swords in my hands than with antique dishes and silver utensils." Klide was not sure what the procedure was for asking a woman to dance, so he simply extended a hand facing upwards, with a slight grim on his face. "Oh fair maiden, would you do me the honor of being my partner in dance?" Klide felt his face get hot again. When she placed her hand into his, Klide led Lavinia out towards the spot lit area. He was by no means a good dancer, but he could get by as long as it was slow dancing. Klide had no ability at all when it came to faster paced dance. He placed his right hand on Lavinia's hip and held her right hand in his left. After she placed her left hand on his arm. He began to step from side to side slowly. Leading her in a small circle under the glaring lights from above. Klide was happy that he had decided to come to the ball, and honestly, he was not sure he wanted the night to end, though it had just begun.

Now you can spend a couple of seconds hovering over all of the pictures and forgetting what you're supposed to do for a little while. Honestly I should have probably replaced the pictures and gifs with ones more appropriate for the occasion, but that would probably take too long to find something worth the trouble. Not to mention no one's really going to read this post for more than a few minutes anyway. Because after all, you certainly aren't going to read all the posts in this thread, are you now? Especially not that post with the wacky font. No one has time for that. Please make your post more legible. But now I'm getting borderline rude, so I apologize.
Chances are that all you need to read are the posts of the people you normally interact with. And the people you want to interact with. Mostly the girls. You guys wanted dates, right? Was that your intention for joining this thread? You're not here for the character development or the free food? But you may say, 'But Saki! Even if my character eats a lot of food, it'll only make me more hungry!' Yeah, you know what? It's a good way to talk about food without gaining weight. Because if you start writing about how tasty the food your character is tasting, you won't only make yourself hungry, you'll make everyone who reads your post hungry. Honestly, it might be a good way to tell who reads your post if you go into the chatbox and look for messages along the line of 'I just read a post in the Winter Ball and now I feel hungry'. Share the primitive instinct. On a slightly related tangent, I just started my winter break. Have some food pics (if you're reading this post from several months in the future, rest assured that it's delicious food). Let me just evacuate and turn the rest of this post into an actually serious post.As she sat there at the table, mixing in some peppermint flavor with her candy cane, the party had seemed to liven up elsewhere in the room. Guess she spoke too soon. Socialization was proving to be a fairly difficult task as the majority of guests were rather unfamiliar individuals she had only met once or twice at most. She shook her head. Normally if this were the real world, at least half the people here would be glued to a phone screen talking with people far away rather than joining in the festivities. They were all MMO players, weren't they? It was a rather generalizing yet cynically true claim. Midori took out the candy cane from the hot mixture and placed its straight end into her mouth. The end was beginning to appear sharp, the kind that you would see after you suck on one end of a candy cane for a few minutes straight. It was sharp enough to work as a makeshift single-use weapon if need-be. Honestly, this was probably the main reason she had never been on a date. Her mind worked internally and was wired rather strangely at times. Only Hiro had addressed her thus far, so she returned the comment with a wave of her own. It was an odd gesture, with her left hand still firmly grasping a mug containing a light coffee-colored drink and a candy cane sticking out of her month like a giant lollipop. A rather unusually childish expression compared to her somewhat formal appearance. She didn't care. It was a holiday staple she didn't normally get to try in real life due to chocolate making her stomach hurt. Her eyes gazed up in curiosity as the other individuals at the table were beginning to move onto a new activity. Kumori and Caerbannog, apparently the married couple who ran the Aeryn guild, were initiating a dance. Hiro had asked the blonde guest for a dance. Oxford was asking the pink-haired Cleric. The Pharmacist seemed to shuffle over toward a person a little bit away from them, presumably doing the same thing. What was this, OTP Ball? Why was she at this party again? Let's spice things up since she didn't have a dance partner, despite most likely rejecting perhaps 90% of any dance requests that would be sent her way if they were to be sent now. Midori dropped the candy cane's tip into the mug and sipped it quietly. Using her other hand, she accessed her inventory and brought out Puppet Allul-0 and her Puppeteer Control Bars. The wooden mannequin with a blue hair wig sat motionlessly against the side of her chair. During much of her time holing herself up and doing research, she also had some time to practice with her subclass's capabilities. The magician held the control bars within her right hand and began to carefully manipulate the strings in order to make her puppet rise. She looked on in the direction of the dancing married couple and manipulated the puppet to emulate their movements as well as she could. She alternated between the leading movements of Kumori and the following motions of Caerbannog. In any case, she supposed this was probably her way of partaking in the festivities. Noticing her decidedly good friend Saskia make a note of her, Nu winked back with a laughing grin. Everyone was so fancy! Nisha was right, it was certainly a lot of fun seeing everyone out of their element. Watching Saskia go toward Tobin though, Nu couldn’t help but feel a little jealous. That little corner of the party certainly looked like a regular laugh riot, but was the point of a ‘bridge party’ not to mingle amongst the various classes? Nu consoled herself with the thought that if those two were –really- up to snuff, that she would be seeing them for the after party anyhow. With a tug at her heavy heart, Nu went toward the considerably less exotic, more common, lander’s bar.
“Gin and ton….” Nu cut herself off. There was no way they would have that. She was a classy lady though, and beer just –wouldn’t- do. Biting her lip while looking searchingly past the lander servant’s mortified expression of confusion, Nu thought she saw something clear. It probably wasn’t water. Nu pointed.
“That please.” Nu paused to consider. There weren’t any dressings to really make up the drink into something special. The girl didn’t mind…but there were appearances to keep up. She sighed in thought as the unfortunate lander servant moved to pour a finger’s worth into one of the standing wine glasses. Nu held up her hand to stop him. “A moment dear, I wasn’t finished.” Clearing her throat to appear serious, Nu finished her order: “I’ll have it straight and tall.” Seeing the lander fail to move though, still enough to be stone, Nu smiled warmly to try and defuse the situation. “It means a larger glass, darling.” Figuring this was a night for the servant to remember, Nu figured she may as well go all out:
Grabbing a vase on a near and unoccupied table, Nu poured the water from within it into about 5 wine glasses, and setting them aside, placed the crystalline vase in front of the servant for consideration. “Pour please.” She beamed. Nodding hurriedly, the lander filled that thing up a good 3/4 th’s way. “Perfect!” Nu laughed, she was considering the flowers left over from her commandeering of the vase. “Hm~ Roses…” Taking three, Nu plucked the top flowers from the first two and dropped them to float in a pair of the water-filled wine glasses. Placing them on either side of the man for decoration, she continued humming through her work. Plucking the third from the stock Nu, with an Italian’s flourish of the fingers, dabbled the petals down into her crunk cup for decoration. “Vodka Rose!” Nu laughed at her improvisation. “Oh?” But there was one more flower. “Blessing upon you sir, courtesy of The Snow Fairy~” Placing the last rose through the button hole of the lander’s shirt she took her vase’s worth of booty and with a bow, gave a mischievous wave toward the bar's only other patron, a very townsey elf she'd never met. With that, the little girl took off to find that baron’s daughter. An idea had struck her.
Placing ‘Vodka Rose’ on a nearby table for a moment she approached the family with the best courtesy she could manage. “A brave knight had requested a blessing for a most worthy daughter~” Nu smiled, winking at the two parents. The girl came up sheepishly with eyes like platters in awe. Nu very much wanted to take her home. “For you sweetie, a cloak and clover to remember me by, from Neverland.” Like a Queen Nu, bestowed the child with the velvet drape and a four leaf clover she had found one day on a whim. She hoped it would make her happy. “Merry Winter,” Nu smiled softly. “Grow up like a dream!” Waving, she turned to leave, but not before grabbing her drink. “Now for a little me time.” Nu sighed taking a sip. “Ugh bitter.” Sticking her tongue out, she laughed, before drinking some more. Some announcer just then was saying something or other about a dance competition. Nu considered it would be in bad taste to enter alone. Scanning the crowd, she shrugged contently, it was just as well to watch.
“I think I’d be more worried if someone –did- ask me to dance," Nu chuckled, "In this body? What would that say about tastes?” Nu guzzled from the vase starting to regret that it was so heavy. “So terrible!” She giggled. “Something this memorably bad certainly needs a show.” Nu made way for someplace with a good view to see the dancers. Her new spot by a pillar gave her a clear and well enough view of the dance floor, though perhaps with the unintended side effect, of showing quite plainly, that she was very much alone.

Much to her surprise, as she expected some odd looks for suddenly showing up uninvited at the table, the man she had walked over to her offered her a seat. Artemisia smiled at his offer and accepted it, taking the empty seat directly beside him. He introduced himself as Hiro and she quickly made a mental note to remember this name. After offering her a spot at the table, his attention was pulled in several directions by the never ending parade of people making their way to the table. Artemisia watched, her green eyes full of curiosity, taking in the appearances of all of these people she had never met before. Her small blonde fox ears twitched each time Hiro or someone else at the table said a name and her eyes flicked over the person in question. A name to a face... Hopefully she would be able to test herself later to see if she remembered any of them. Through the various greetings of others, she picked up on several names: Hiro, Oxford, Midori, Stryke, Klide, Charuen… okay, so she probably wouldn't remember them all. She was already losing track of who was who and who was talking. Just as she was beginning to feel overwhelmed by all of the people, Hiro turned his attention back to her. It wasn't that she disliked people, she just felt uncomfortable not knowing entirely what was going on. She locked her eyes on Hiro as he spoke to her, " So, what caused you to walk on over here? Just the appearance of so many people in one area, or perhaps you were intrigued by the company whom had arrived?" Her first impression of him was that he was a kind, inclusive person. Even if she failed to remember any of the other names at the table, she knew she would remember his. Not many people would so willingly include a random stranger like this. She appreciated his kindness. “ I guess you could say… I saw something that interested me,” She flashed him a smile, one of her ears flicking atop her head as she spoke. It wasn't completely true but being as she had no true reason for coming over here, she decided to just make it up on the spot. Besides, it’s true enough now… She thought to herself. “ It’s very nice to meet you, Hiro,” She spoke softly, keeping her tone sweet. Somehow, during the few minutes they had been chatting, she had turned herself in her chair so she was facing him fully. She hadn't even noticed herself being so sucked into the conversation. This must be what they mean when they say making a friend naturally? She wondered, hoping that would be the case. Artemisia opened her mouth to ask Hiro more about the Ball, as she had only heard about it by happenstance, but was cut off by the appearance of a man on the balcony above. The man’s voice rang out clearly over the room, announcing that a dance competition was starting and all were encouraged to participate. A bright spot light snapped on, illuminating the dance floor nearby. Well, that wasn't relevant to her, anyways. She had come alone. She would simply watch the others enjoy their time on the dance floor and hopefully manage to slip in conversation with one or two of them here and there. She knew it would only be a matter of time before someone came over and invited Hiro for a dance, after all. There was no way someone as nice as him had come to this party alone, after all. She felt the slightly twinge of disappointment and couldn't stop the quiet sigh that followed the realization. All the cute ones are always taken anyhow… She wrinkled her nose up in a pout as she turned her attention back to the table. Maybe the girl who was sort of across from her, Midori she thought it was, would be up for some conversation. Well, I'll just order a drink and… Her thoughts were cut off. Out of the corner of her eye, she thought she saw something unbelievable. As the sight registered in her mind, the sound of his voice also clicked. Not only was she seeing things but she was hearing things, too. She peeked up to Hiro was now standing with his hand held out to her. There was almost no way to confuse what he was asking her… but she didn't quite understand why. Artemisia stared up at Hiro for a long moment, her cheeks tinted pink from his gesture, before slowly reaching out and placing her tiny hand on top of his. Using it as a support, she pulled herself up out of her seat. She had absolutely no idea how this was done… hopefully he did? She allowed him to lead her out onto the dance floor. She was definitely happy, she couldn't deny that. Anyone looking at her would know. Despite the fact that her face was practically glowing red, she was smiling. Once the duo arrived on the dance floor though, Artemisia hesitated and looked up at Hiro with wide green eyes. “ Thank you for the offer…” Her fox tail swished back and forth nervously, “ I’m very happy you asked me but… I, um, I don't think I even know how…” She fiddled anxiously with her long, braided hair with her free hand, assuming he was still holding the other one. Not sure how to proceed, Artemisia looked up at Hiro, her cheeks still warm. -- Notes: Good luck Artemisia! Tags: Hirosame Words: 924

"Come on, Dumah, you're taking forever. We're both ready, so why aren't you?" Isolde was wearing the ball gown that she'd made for herself, and Alette had the surprise dress she'd also crafted. It had been a delight to see how her face lit up when she received it. But now Dumah was holding up things for everyone. And they say women take forever to get ready. You think that his Courtesan subclass would help him get ready as well, but maybe it had the penalty of making you take forever to get ready in exchange for looking good. Instead, the two of them took the time to practice their dancing for the ball as well as call out to Dumah every so often to tease him for the amount of time he was taking. She didn't think she was the best dancer, and they didn't have any music playing, unfortunately, but she'd learnt a little in school, and Alette was a great partner. She was certain that they wouldn't embarrass themselves at the dance itself. ... The ball itself was incredibly high class. She couldn't help but stare at the opulence. Her arm was around that of her date, Dumah, and Alette was on the other side, looking even more awed than herself. Music that she recognised now as music from the game itself played, and people of all shapes and sizes talked, laughed, ate, drank, and danced. Almost everyone had brought their A-game for this, and it was amazing to see everything before her. Isolde recognised a few people, but she'd only just arrived, so it'd be impolite to just leave. "I didn't expect this to be so... massive." She confessed with a smile, pleased to see the turnout. As she looked around, an man on the balcony made an interesting announcement. "A dance competition? Dumah, we should compete!" It sounded like it'd be something fun to do, and there was a mystery prize of some sort, which was exciting. Could Alette participate? He said dance with your partner or alone, but was three people possible? Either way, it sounded fun, and she was doubtful that she'd win anyway. "Alette, hold him tight so he doesn't escape!" Isolde didn't expect him to, and the levity in her voice indicated she was just joking around, but she thought it'd be fun to include the girl in a faux kidnapping. They made their way up to the stage, where a nice and slow orchestral piece was playing. It was a rather nice piece that reminded her of a bit of a waltz. How should they do this... "OK, Alette, we're going to be sharing Dumah for this. It'll be just like it was back when were were getting ready, but at every... third turn, Dumah, you switch to the other partner, who will follow along with the beat, ready for their next turn." Isolde took charge, not something that she usually did voluntarily, but was adept at when given the chance. "Um... excuse me!" She turned and saw a young, incredibly well dressed boy about Alette's age with neat, blonde hair styled a little long at the back. "I don't have a partner, and I heard you talking... and I would be honoured if I could join the dance with you, miss!" He was blushing furiously, and Isolde suddenly realised that he was shooting nervous glances towards Dumah's daughter. "I'm fine with that... what about you two?" It must have taken courage for him to do this, and she was privately wishing him the best of luck. _______________ Word Count: 597

WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS WE'LL CROSS THROUGH ALL THESE NIGHTS Charuen had always considered herself to be someone who was good at keeping her emotions in check. Getting angry or flustered was a rare occurrence, and even when she felt such feelings, she was very good at hiding it. However, Oxford's response to her earlier words left the pinkette blushing. Her cheeks turned a shade of pink quite similar to her hair, and for a moment the cleric was at a lost for what to say. She had not expected the guardian to respond in such a teasing manner, but she supposed that she just didn't know him well enough to predict such things. After all, this was only their second encounter. However, she quickly recovered, and opened her mouth in preparation to reply with a witty remark. However, the chuckle that escaped from the lips of the brown haired adventurer, as well as his following comment, caused Char to respond by letting out laugh lightly instead. The pink haired adventurer gratefully accepted the seat that Oxford offered her before returning her attention to the two adventurers siting at the table. Hirosame returned her greeting warmly to which she replied by giving him an equally warm smile.
Upon hearing Ox's answer to her earlier question, the healer nodded in understanding. The two males had arrived quite and early and thus, it made sense that they had chosen to sit down and wait for others to arrive. However, as they spoke, a steady stream of guests began to enter the ballroom, and a large portion of these guests made their way to the table that the trio were sitting at. First came Lavinia, dressed in a beautiful crimson coloured gown that matched her hair, who greeted them with great excitement. Charuen, who had quickly taken a liking to the enchantress shortly after meeting her for the first time when they went on the rescue mission together, returned the redhead's greeting with equal enthusiasm.
Next came an adorable foxtail (@sugarygiggles) with long blonde hair. The cleric did not recognize her, and from the way she introduced herself, it seemed that the blonde did not know anyone else either. Char gave her a big smile, followed by a friendly wave. She admired the newcomer's ability to approach them and make new friends. However, Hiro started a conversation with the foxtail before she could do so, the pinkette made a mental note to chat with the fox tail later, when she was free. Instead, her attention was diverted to a familiar looking raven haired girl sitting at their table, who was nonchalantly sipping on a mug of hot cocoa that she stirred with a candy cane. Charuen beamed and waved at the young woman, whom she recognized as Midori. She had gotten to know the quiet heretic during the rescue mission, when she had received the magic user's "Eye for an Eye". The cleric was definitely happy to see her friend at the ball.
Before she could start a conversation with Midori, Char caught sight of a very familiar face. "Blue !" she exclaimed, (albeit in her usual soft spoken voice) and got up to return her best friend's curtsy as well as to give her a hug. She then sat back down, but not before patting the seat next to her own. "You look beautiful. What a lovely dress you are wearing. ~" The pink haired beauty smiled warmly at her friend, her eyes twinkling with mirth. Seeing her friend at the ball just made her evening that much brighter, and she made a note to ask the bard for a dance later.
The next two guests came as a pair, and were none other than the most famous duo on the server: Kumori and @dindeen. The assassin's position and rank slightly intimidated her, while Caer's past actions left her a bit wary (Char unconsciously pulled her dress up) of the samurai. Nonetheless, she respected both of them greatly, and thus she greeted the two of them with a polite smile and wave. A light laugh escaped from her lips as the fun-sized adventurer asked her husband if there was cake. While Char found some of Caerbannog's actions questionable (such as her method of downing a flute of champagne), she shared a love for sweets with the samurai. As she watched Kumori attend to his wife, the smile on the pinkette's lips softened. She could easily see from the way the couple interacted that they truly loved and trusted in one another.
Following the arrival of the assassin and his lover was a man dressed in casual clothes. He introduced himself as Stryke , one of the new members of Hiro's guild. Charuen responded with a small wave, and introduced herself. "Nice to meet you, Stryke. I'm Charuen, of Aeryn!" Since their guilds were in an alliance, Char assumed that she would be seeing Stryke again in the near future. The healer would have continued the conversation had a loud crash not sounded in the banquet hall, followed by a rush of cold air that made her shiver slightly. A fine film of frost was momentarily suspended in the air, much to Char's confusion. When it finally settled and her vision became clear once more, a booming voice singing a rather... interesting rendition of a classic Christmas carol reached her ears. A small giggle escaped her lips as her eyes settled on Tobin (whom she had gotten to know under rather embarrassing circumstances), and the portable bar that he had brought with him. He had made a small mess out of one part of the dining hall (The boar that was still running around did not help.), but nobody, including Charuen, minded. In fact, as she continued to watch the scene around the brewer, many guests were already approaching the dwarf and requesting drinks. Like most British people, the pink haired beauty had a certain fondness for alcoholic beverage, and made a note to stop by Tobin's bar for a drink or two later in the evening.
Charuen was about to start a conversation with someone at her table when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning around, the adventurer found herself facing Magma Hirimito, who had chosen to wear a fabulous outfit to the ball. She smiled merrily as he greeted her, and gave him a quick nod in reply. "Good evening, Magma!" she said sweetly. "It's nice to see you here this evening! Are you enjoying yourself so far?"
Before she could hear his reply, a man appeared on the balcony, and announced that a (spontaneous?) dance competition was about to be held. Next thing she knew, Oxford had stood up, and had offered the crook of his arm to her. When he asked her for a dance, a look of surprise flashed across her face, only to be quickly replaced by an expression of joy. She had not expected anyone to ask her for a dance (In all honesty, she thought that she would be the one going around asking for dances.), and thus the guardian's gesture greatly touched her. What a great way to start the evening! Charuen smiled warmly at @0x1dea and accepted his invitation by looping her arm through his. "It would be my pleasure." She replied, her cheeks a rosy pink. The cleric allowed herself to be led to the dance floor, and then placed one hand on her partner's shoulder, while the other was held gently in his hand. Although she was not a professional dancer, she had been trained in partnered dances as a child and thus, knew her way around the dance floor when it came to such events. The music began, and as with all partnered dances, the pink haired beauty waited for the male to lead the way.

The Muse steps to the Stage 552 take up the C A L L AND FOLLOW EVERYONE All those who had gathered were dressed in their finest, a testament to the excitement for the evening's events. Blue found herself again wondering about the mentality of the people attending this ball. How did it feel to just go and dance at a nice little soiree after all that had happened after the catastrophe? A mirthful look crossed Blue's features and she could barely contain a chuckle at the idea of it all. They may have been prisoners in a world not their own, but nobody looked at it that way, certainly not Blue. All these people gathering, and more coming, told her enough about how the evening would go. Hectic, but overall pleasant. She wouldn't have time to address them all, but it would be rude to ignore a certain few. The red head in gold smiled at her dear friend Charuen and sat down beside her as she offered. Her dress was rather long for it but she'd make do. Speaking of, the lord tailor himself had arrived... He was in his own little world right now, but she nodded to him with a smile to acknowledge him and her pleasure in his work. This dress truly was a work of art.
It was worth noting the others that decided to participate outside of this little gathering of guild mates though. The Dwarf was hard to ignore, seeing as he nearly set the place on fire with alcohol and machismo. A Scotsman? A Scotsman. The Irish in her wanted to go and party with him but she held it back with a soft chuckle. Besides, she'd need to be on stage soon. It would be a terrible grievance if she were to show up drunk and slurring most of her lyrics. Although that might be just as fun to be perfectly honest. No, no. A bard had to keep up appearances... for now. Blue turned her attention to Stryke now, smiling at him as he gave an introduction. How adorable the new ones always were. "It is a pleasure, Stryke. Please, don't worry about your appearance. It would be a shame to be deprived of company because of clothing." She said, hoping to assuage his concerns.
Soon enough the dancing had begun. For the moment the bard watched as her companions stepped out onto the floor with their partners. She remained to spectate for a moment, her eyes analyzing their actions carefully like a sponge of information. Dancing was the best way to determine one's character at a social gathering, much like one's sword arm determined their character on the field of battle. She watched, and laughed. She even spectated Midori's idea of participating which gave her a good laugh. They weren't all social but at least they tried. It was about that time for Blue as well. She needed to be places after all. The bard stood up from her chair and began to glide along the floor, her dress flowing as she began to solo waltz through the floor towards the stage. She hummed silently, giving a soft background tune that mixed in with the large scale band as it played. She had no partner, but she danced like a professional, probably because she was. The subclass helped too. Pacifying dance worked wonders in captivating an audience.

Before the dwarf could get the drinks of even utter a word in response to the greeting of both Saskia and Bailin a sharply dressed male announced a dancing competition. In the minutes after, leaving Bailin rather startled, more and more people went to the dance floor and started well, dancing. Feeling a bit romantic Bailin felt a little urge welling up in him, the urge to dance with, in his humblest of opinions, the most beautiful lady at the party. “Hey Saskia, would you… would you like to join the dancing competition with me?” he asked carefully, hoping she wouldn’t prefer to go drinking just yet. With a big smirk he looked into her eyes and took her hands into his, his eyes sparkling with excitement and pleasure as he was in her company. It almost made him radiate with joy as he thought about dancing with her. Formulating the steps in his mind at high pace as he waited for her response; o ne step forward, two step forward, half step backwards, side step, side step, step to the right, twist the lady around, forward, forward, back, back, side back, side, forward, lean over and start over again.
After a few seconds Saskia responded with a simple nod and smile. Delighted Bailin bid the dwarf a good evening and offered Saskia his arm, which she took, still smiling as if she enjoyed the thought of a dance with him as much as he did. “So, Saskia, my dear and lovely lady, if you don’t mind, I’d like to lead this dance.” He asked smiling gently as he put his left hand on her lower back, placing her right hand on his side and taking her left hand up with his right hand. Had they been alone he would most probably let his hand on her back ‘accidentally’ slip a bit lower as to tease her, but alas, they were not alone, so he just had to behave. Taking Saskia closer to himself he put his head next to hers, his mouth near her ear so he could whisper to her and probably making their dancing look a tad more intense. “Alright my dear, let’s start slowly, me taking half a step forward, you taking one backwards.” He whispered into her ear. Together they gently and gracefully took the intended half step; “Alright, let’s go two forward, one back and take a step to the side.” He whispered gently in her ear, smiling as a strand of hair tickled over his nose. Taking the steps in sequence was a bit harder but Bailin thought they had managed well enough. “Let’s follow this up with some more forward, to the side, a twist and a leaning, how about you?” Bailin said with a grin as he took Saskia on a trip on the dance floor, going through the steps he had proposed, them getting better at it as they went. At the leaning Bailin gently let Saskia lean on his arm on her back while she was lowered towards the ground, after a certain point Bailin pulled her up again, giving her a bold quick kiss on the lips, leaving her a tad surprised. Before Saskia could recuperate from the surprise attack Bailin continued to gently waltz on the dance floor with Saskia at his arms, hoping she enjoyed this dance as much as he did, not for the sake of dancing, but for the same of dancing with him. Gently on the tune of the music the duo stepped the night away, at least until either of them had enough of dancing. Swirling around and round, fluidly, subtle and gently, leaning and twisting until they didn’t want to anymore. It was a dance Bailin wouldn’t mind dancing the rest of his life, with the occasional sleep, snack and toilet break of course. Saskia

Magma heard the man speak on the balcony and froze up for a moment. He walked to the bar and started to drink some water and thought about this opportunity. He knew this could be a chance to dance with someone. His mind was a battlefield, he didn't know if he should dance or not. With his thoughts distracting him, he accidentally spilled water on the floor. He noticed Nursery sitting near the end of the bar and Magma decided to ask her of all the people at the ball.
"E-Excuse me miss, would dance you like?"
He jumbled his words because he was nervous and couldn't set himself straight. He put the glass on the counter and took a deep breath before speaking again.
"M-My name is Magma and I would like to know if you would want to dance."
Magma didn't have a lot of confidence, but he really wanted to do something new, like dance. He wanted to experience it and wanted to feel what it was like. He bowed and put his hand out, like a dapper gentleman so Nursery would choose to dance with him.

“Oh?” Nu tiled her head. What was all this then? And right when she’d gotten cozy too! Nu looked around just to be sure the offer was directed at her. Confirming it, she considered her response. The poor guy looked so very nervous, it was awakening a faint glimmer in her slightly sadistic heart. But no, she decided against teasing him, she would honor his bravery in asking a young girl to dance. At least someone with the appearances of one…
Nu offered no verbal response, instead opting to place her right hand into the suitor’s own offered one. Before he could really react however, Nu seized that extended hand of his with her left, and with a tugging pull of impressive force for her stature, began to drag him off to the dance floor. Looking over her shoulder she beamed a wide smile.
“I’m Nu, and if you want to dance, then let’s dance. Let’s not be nervous or awkward, waha~, say what you want to say, and behave like it damn well pleases you!”
Finding space toward a side corner of the floor so as not to be trampled, Nu dropped the guy’s hands and did her practiced courtesy.
“Do you know how to dance? Or should I show you? Hmmm~?” Nu laughed teasingly while tugging on one of the fine sleeves of her captive date's jacket. Her other hand formed a cradle for her face as she jokingly appeared indecisive as to what she should do. She felt like making a bit of sport out of who would prove the lead in this endeavor. The others had already begun twirling about this way or that as best they could, some even, rather splendidly. Nu even thought she recognized some of those faces, but for now, Nu didn't mind any of them. There was only this dude of dress and the music, each set to move at their own decided pace. Nu waited to see if he would attempt to take charge or submit gracefully. Either way, Nu decided, this wasn’t so bad, she could have fun with this.

"Come on, Dumah, you're taking forever. We're both ready, so why aren't you?" Isolde, a young Fox Tail Shaman, and Dumah's date for the Winter Ball, was impatiently demanding Dumah hurry up and get ready faster. It had only been about half an hour or so since his date and his daughter both finished getting ready. They both looked beautiful wearing the dresses Isolde had made.
Dumah spoke as he looked at himself in a mirror on the wall, making sure his appearance was absolutely perfect. "Calm yourself, my dear... I must look perfect for this Winter Ball. We would not want the other attendees to presume such a beautiful woman has low standards, now would we?" He smiled a bit as he flattered his date. He grabbed the Dumahim Tuxedo he had crafted and was now wearing, pulling on it gently before smiling at himself. "I shall be but a moment longer..." Dumah took a few moments to smile proudly at himself, both for crafting such a nice suit and managing to get such a beautiful date.
Dumah's daughter looked up at Isolde happily, full of joy. "Thank you again Ms. Isolde for the pretty dress!" She spun around a bit, giggling joyously. Both of the girls were held up by Dumah's very long preparations, and decided to practice their dancing. Alette was considerably shorter than Isolde, and it made it a bit hard for them to dance together, not to mention the lack of music or experience, but they managed to still dance. Some time would pass after Alette and Isolde finished their practicing, and Alette went to the room her father was preparing in. She knocked on the door softly and rapidly. "Daddy, come on!"
After a moment, Dumah opened the door and walked out. A single look placed upon the devilishly charming, handsome young man was more than enough to show that his long preparation was more than necessary.
...
The Winter Ball itself was clearly high class. Dumah noticed his date could not help but stare at the opulence. Her arm was around his own, and Dumah's daughter was on Dumah's other side, walking beside him closely. Alette's face beamed with awe as she saw the fancy Winter Ball. The group of three - especially Alette - recognized the music being played as music from Elder Tale when it was still but a game. Around the ball room, people of all shapes, sizes, races, classes, levels, and types laughed, talked, ate, drank, danced, and made merry. Just about everyone brought their all for this grand event, and it was amazing to see all of it. Isolde seemed to recognize a couple of people, and soon spoke up. "I didn't expect this to be so... massive." She bore a bright smile as she confessed her surprise.
Dumah returned the smile as he looked around and nodded. "Aye... It is great to see so many people enjoying themselves." He chuckled a bit. "Heh, to think everyone was once little more than a crowd of hysteria and despair, wondering when they would awake back in front of their computer monitors..."
As Dumah made this statement, a man with a very interesting haircut, dressed like a bouncer or some sort of member of the committee running this event, made an announcement regarding a dance competition.
Isolde lit up a bit in response to this. "A dance competition? Dumah, we should compete!" To tell the truth, Dumah was intrigued by the mystery prize that was announced. What ever could it be, he wondered. "Alette, hold him tight so he doesn't escape!" Despite Isolde not expecting Dumah to try and get out of it, he seemed a bit nervous at the idea.
"D-Dance? Well, I mean, I do not know- I- umm..." Despite his nervousness and reaction, his own daughter assisted in the faux kidnapping, helping Isolde force him up to the stage. "H-Hey! Wait! Isolde! Alette! Hold on!" They disregarding everything he said, and it was clear Dumah had no choice but to participate. A nice, soothing, slow orchestral piece was being played, and it made numerous dances come to Dumah's mind.
Isolde spoke up to Alette. "Okay, Alette, we're going to be sharing Dumah for this. It'll be just like it was back when we were getting ready, but at every..." She hesitated while she tried to come to an answer. "Third turn, Dumah, you switch to the other partner, who will follow along with the beat, ready for their next turn." Dumah could not help but chuckle softly at the humor and irony of this situation. Dumah had years of experience in giving instructions and orders for raids in MMORPGs, but it was always such strategies that involved DPS, kiting, Tanks, healing, debuffing, buffing, so-forth. Now, here he was, on a stage at the Winter Ball, and he was in an entirely new raid he'd never expected to be in: A social raid. He listened, smiling, and nodded when his date finished presenting her plan. Before they could begin, however, an unfamiliar voice was heard.
"Um... Excuse me!" All three looked to see a young, incredibly well dressed boy about Alette's age with neat, blonde hair styled a little long at the back. "I don't have a partner, and I heard you talking... And I would be honored if I could join the dance with you, miss!" The young suitor's face was burning pink with nervousness. Isolde and Dumah both noticed him shooting quick glances at Alette.
Isolde spoke up, offering her answer. "I'm fine with that... What about you two?"
The boy clearly had to muster a serious amount of courage to bring himself to request a dance, and Dumah respected this about him. He was a cute kid, and from a glance, Dumah could tell he was not one who would treat his daughter poorly. Dumah smiled at the boy, relieved that Alette was not asked by some shady type of boy that would prompt Dumah to need to wash his swords in the background as a fair warning to her suitor. Dumah nodded at the boy before speaking. "Of course."
Alette smiled and curtsied cutely, nodding. "Mhm!"
Dumah felt a new energy and motivation in him for this dance. He quickly wrapped his left arm around his date, pulling her close, holding her left hand in his right hand, their faces mere centimeters away from each other. Dumah showed no sign of nervousness, and he smiled charmingly to his date. It was almost as if he had found a way for his Courtesan skills to affect Adventurers! This was of course not the case, for Dumah had some practice with dancing and other such noble ways of acting in the real world. He grinned and quickly, yet softly, planted a kiss upon the lips of his date. He then spoke in a soft, alluring voice. "Do try to keep up, my dear." With that, he began dancing a very complex ballroom dance. He was clearly taking this competition seriously, and he made sure not to begin a dance so complex his date could not keep up. Some of the audience were awed at Dumah's skill, and he was just thankful it had followed him into this world.

Isolde gave an embarrassed smile at her well-dressed companion's remark about the hysteria at the start. She'd been pretty distressed herself at the start. She hadn't done anything drastic or anything, thankfully. A lot of people reacted worse than she did. Some tried suicide, others got into fights with each other, and others went into a long period of depression. She'd managed to bounce back pretty fast, but others weren't able to adapt, which was unfortunate. The world wasn't as bad as it could have been by any means, and it had become more liveable since the start, too. Still, even though in some ways it was quite fun, she missed her family greatly. Isolde hoped that they were doing well.
Dumah seemed a little hesitant to dance, but he didn't exactly resist outside of a few verbal protests. He seemed content to let her take charge as well, which was fine by her. it wasn't long before everything was ready and they proceeded to the actual dancing. He... was a lot more confident than she'd expected him to be, and a better dancer than herself. She blushed as he drew her in close... much closer than she expected. His arm around her waist, his eyes staring into her own... she could feel his breath on her face. This was how a dance like this was meant to be... right? It's fine... I can handle something like this. After all, it was just a dance.
Then the man grinned... and kissed her. Her eyes widened, her ears shot up, her tail went rigid, she turned completely red, and then mentally shut down. It was only a light one, not even a second, but it was a kiss! On the lips! Isolde barely heard what Dumah said as he led her in the dance. She followed along with him automatically as her thoughts raced over what had just happened. I've never been kissed by a boy before, let alone on the lips. He just stole my first kiss! Just like that, without a care in the world! Sure, he's my date to the ball, but it's not like we like like each other! It was a part of the dance, right? It didn't mean anything, right? Of course it meant something, it was my first! Can I ignore it when I actually get a boyfriend? Wait, I'm too young to date, anyway! It doesn't matter what the other girls at school are doing, Mother and Father said not to date! But I'm not in school, am I? I'm not even me right now... argh, stupid Dumah! As her mind continued to explode from the emotional weapon of mass destruction, her body followed along with its partner, guided by his skilful steps. She may have looked stunned, but her auto-pilot seemed to be managing just fine for the moment.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________A tremor of excitement rushed over Saskia as she had her attention snatched from the dwarf and hurling up to a rather mysterious and well dressed man as he notified all of the attendants to the party of an marvelous change of event! There was to be a bit of a chatter over a dancing competition. leaving a few people clinging to the corners of the room, like wall flowers and the more courageous and adventurous went boldly into the fray.
Saskia raised a rather promiscuous brow toward Bailin, as she nodded her head slightly at an angle towards the contestants dancing. Smiling bright as she took note that Bailin was no man to get cold feet, she eagerly awaited the moment she had been dreaming of the whole night. To dance with the most charming and sophisticated man in the room.
“Hey Saskia, would you… would you like to join the dancing competition with me?”
He seemed to be gauging how she would react, and she calmed him down with a reassuring smile and a confident smirk.
"Woo! Now the party's really getting started!" Saskia said with a vibrant cheer as a purple fist rised up towards to crtalline chandeliers and two perfectly plucked eyebrows beamed with delight.
She smiled with pearly white teeth as she giggled with excitement as he took her hand, her face flustering a bright pink as she gazed deeply into his porcelain blue crystals, her eyes ignited with intrigue and adoration as she walked across the ballroom with her. Her face glowed like a radiant angel as she counted down the moments to whimsical wonder. She began to grow even more curious as to Bailin's wicked plan for dominating the dance floor.
“So, Saskia, my dear and lovely lady, if you don’t mind, I’d like to lead this dance.” He asked smiling gently as he put his left hand on her lower back, placing her right hand on his side and taking her left hand up with his right hand.
Saskia smirked and was rather impressed by the fact that he knew how to dance like a proper gentleman. Her heart began to glow softly as a the soft corners up her lips began to paint a beautiful pink smile upon her face as she whispered.
"Take the night away, my leading man..." She whispered in an elegant mannered as he closed in, bringing his head closer towards hers, the tempo of her heartbeat increasing as he whispered soft words into her ear, leading her on an enchanting fairy tail across the ballroom.
“Alright my dear, let’s start slowly, me taking half a step forward, you taking one backwards.” She smiled sweetly as she followed his instructions. Soft berry pomegranate colored heels sliding into a well-timed and majestic half step; “Alright, let’s go two forward, one back and take a step to the side.” He whispered gently in her ear, as she smiled bashfully and retracted her head to indulge in laughter. She refocused her attention to try to stay in unison with the gentleman, barely able to contain herself. “Let’s follow this up with some more forward, to the side, a twist and a leaning, how about you?”
"Let's set this stage on fire, dear..."
She had already memorized the steps as she allowed muscle memory to take over as she properly followed his lead. There was a sparkling twinkle in her eye Bailin gently let Saskia lean on his arm on her back while she was lowered towards the ground, she bit her lip slightly in an alluring manner and Bailin pulled her up again, giving her a bold quick kiss on the lips, which made her smile from ear to ear. Her face grew bright pink, a lighter variant of her cascading and lucious pink rose petal hir. Bailin continued to gently waltz on the dance floor with Saskia at his arms.
"When you kiss me, without uttering single word, you speak to my soul..." Saskia whispered lightly, gripping a slight bit tighter unto Bailin's hand and gazing up at him, giving a flicker of a grin. Her wanting eyes searched his face and found solace simple gazing into his eyes as they danced intricately, the bottoms of her dress swaying angelically.
"I suppose it's time we kick it up a notch, and add some flavor, wouldn't you agree?"
Saskia smirked as she strayed away from the routine dance, seductively swaying her hips, loosening up a bit, but still in a classy manner. She glanced as Bailin's eyes and then proceeded to look down towards his lips as she raised his arm high above her head and did a delicate spin, before spinning in reverse back away from him an indulging in an exotic dance as her back leaned agains his chest and she looked up and whispered.
"Dancing with our feet is one thing, but dancing with our heart is another..."
She smirked, spinning off of him and still holding his hand as she did a vivacious twist with a very enticing allure, and swayed her hips, swinging her head and the soft strands of pink hair that flew through the air like butterflies.
"If you dance with your heart, your body will follow..."
With excellence and grandeur, she began to take lead, sliding her leg in between Bailin's and indulging in a classier version of dirty dancing that looked captivating and sublime amid the crowd of dancers as the light from the spotlight began to highlight their charming facial features as Saskia pressed he body firmly against Bailin's chest, gripping his hand as they danced in intricate circles across the ballroom majestically.
"Dancing is a conversation between body & soul..." She smiled as she cradled the back of his head, before planting her right hand upon his soft cheek, gazing deeply into his eyes, before adding "To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak..." She pressed her left hand hand over his heart as she gave him a tantalizing glare as her lips brushed softly against his, her heart bursting like fireworks.

While it did seem highly unlikely, Caerbannog indeed had gone to a ball or two before. The samurai had been the type to prefer staying at home in the confines of her room and enclosed in the imaginary worlds of her books and her videogames. However, she was not one to turn away from free food and drinks. Especially cake, and if it was a lie, someone was bound to get hurt. It would not bode well if the organizers of this event lied about cake, then again did they ever say that they would have some? Maybe it was all imagined by the wolf-hair, but it was too late to back off now. There must be cake later or there would be bloodshed!
Back to the event at hand, as the wolf-hair expected, there were many attendees. It was curious how they gathered around the monk Hirosame but soon enough, this thought was cut short by a distraction. Ryuu-nii had put his arms around his wife, possibly an attempt to keep her warm seeing as he had neglected to tailor a jacket for her, and kissed her forehead too. Some pleasantries were exchanged between people but truth be told, aside from the ones that Caerbannog recognized, she could not keep track of all of them. She might have to identify them as Ms.Red Dress and Mr.Date of Ms.Red Dress. Speaking of which, the samurai did recognize Klide whom she had met Saint Pancras Station before. If she remembered correctly, and she probably did, he was a blacksmith or at least seemed interested in being one.
Kumori's comment on her drinking had not gone unnoticed, but once again the assassin was good with his distractions. This time, he asked her to dance. Despite having been to balls and parties, Caer had no idea how to dance properly, or at least in a way that would leave the young man's feet unharmed. He would have to deal with a boot or two right on his toes, but it would probably not hurt much because unless Caerbannog intended to hurt him, she would only step on his toes lightly. The moment that the assassin took Caer's hands though- she froze up. Her arms felt a bit dead and heavy but he was able to position her hands properly anyway. And then the dreaded steps.
Caerbannog almost missed the first back step and she nearly tumbled backwards. Fortunately, Kumori was quickly to keep her upright, and then she had to follow him as he stepped to his right side. The wolf-hair, being small and light, was carried along by the young man's movements. To complete their simple dance, she stepped forward as Kumori stepped back. The pattern was short enough to memorize, but every now and then, the samurai either stepped too early or too late. She might be able to move along with the rhythm after a while though. But as they turned, the wolf-hair noticed a mannequin close to one of the female adventurers.
"R-ryuu-nii..." the wolf-hair nodded towards Midori, "T-there's a scary thingy..."
Afraid of objects that mimicked life down to their very movements and appearance, Caerbannog felt nervous with a puppet close to them. It was not attacking her though, so the samurai was far from panicking or causing a scene. She merely kept her head down and close to Kumori's chest as they continued to dance. She hoped that it would not get close to her; for the moment, she focused on the dance.

"I am sorry, I don't know how to dance, I never learned how to." Magma proceeded to the dance floor to dance with Nu. He was proud of himself for asking someone to dance, and she said yes. Continuing to the dance floor Magma started to blush. He knew people would be watching and judging how they dance. Once he was on he dance floor, he followed Nu. Hopefully she could teach him how to dance.
"So, can you teach me how to dance?"
Magma was suddenly filled with confidence, he felt that if he could do this, he could do nearly anything. On the dance floor, Magma started to get in the groove and hoped that Nu would kinda go along with it.

LaviniaLevel 31: Enchanter Level 22: Pharmacist Level 11: Scholar Note: ... Tag: @blazeedge Lavinia looked at Klide and blushed at this words about her dress. She should have guessed he'd say something like that, she practically baited him for such a compliment, oh well. "You look great and it's fine." she says but then she thought of something to tease him for. "Don't you mean getting yourself beat up and covered in mud?" she says with a soft giggle in hopes to give some ease to the pairs mood.
When Klide asked Lavinia to dance all she could think of was it's about time! Smiling at him Lavinia gives a small curtsey and places her hand in his outstretched one "No, the honor is mine." she says and follows him to the dance floor. Lavinia had no idea how to dance, unless you count watching movies where people dance, that's something at least this'll be interesting. Taking the appropriate stance, Lavjnia placed her hand in Klide's and the pair was ready to go. "Okay, think this through, you know music you can figure this out. It's all about keeping pace with the music and following your partners lead." Lavinia was glad she didn't get all sweaty when she was nervous, that would make this awkward learning to slow dance moment worse. As Klide lead her around in a small circle Lavinia would want to look down at her feet to make sure she's not stepping to close to zklidr or something. "One... Two... Three..." Lavinia repeated in her head as they danced and turned, this wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be.
After Lavinia got comfortable with the dance she decided to break the silence. Despite knowing Klide for a bit, and even fighting together Lavinia barely knew him at all, so she was going to fix that. "So, I barely know anything about you. Can I?... I know your a Swashbuckler but what are your other classes?" she asks Klide curious about what the other two classes he picked.
By thus point Lavinia was pretty comfortable with this slow easy paced dance, she really didn't understand what the fuss was about at first. "From the other day you seem to be a really good swimmer, do you swim as a hobby or something?" she says continuing her inquiry into who Klide is.
The dance should be getting close to ending by now, but maybe there was time for one last question. "What's your favorite color?" she asks with a giggle, yeah it was a silly question but it never hurts to know. Of course Lavinia would answer any question Klide would ask her during the dance as I'm sure he'd like to know more about her too. Klide Smiled a bit when Lavinia blushed. Then she teased him about the beach incident, which could have gone better in all honesty. He chuckled a bit, putting his left hand on the back of his head. "Yes, though honestly, that situation was not as intimidating as something like this." Klide indicated to the room of classy adventurers. Once their dancing started, Klide noticed that Lavinia was looking at her feet, presumable to see if she was doing it in time. Klide smiled a bit before saying "Do not worry Lavinia, you foot work is great." Lightly holding her hand above her head, He quided her into a slow spin and continued dancing. Suddenly, Lavinia asked Klide a few questions. His first reply was "My sub classes are Blacksmith and Tracker, though I have used my smithy abilities very little." He then asked her the same question. "So what about you Lavinia? If my memory serves me well, you are an Enchantress and Pharmacist correct? and then... let me think. A Scholar? Didn't you mention something about that when we first met in the park? or maybe I am just assuming things because you had that book with you when you fell asleep." he waited to see if she corrected him, and then answered Lavinia's second question. He nodded in reply before speaking. "Yes, I was in my school's swim team for three years before all this went down. And you? Do you have and hobbies or sports you like?" He listened if she made a reply and then answered her final question with a smile. "Red. Coincidentally, a very beautiful girl right in front of me seems to be wearing quite a lot of it. Is it safe to assume that she likes the color as well?" Just as he finished his inquisition, the current song ended. The next one would probably start soon, but it was up to Lavinia on whether or not she wanted to continue dancing with Klide. Word Count: 332 Total Word Count: 1070=332=1402 Tags: Lavinia

As Nu moved to take the lead, Magma suddenly started…grooving, was this a demo of his experience…? Nu choked. “Oh wow…pfhahaha! You didn’t need me at all! Hey, hey Magma! How can you expect a lady to get so close to…so close to…such…burning…YOU-THaahaha!”
Nu clutched her stomach with both arms as she tried to gather her breath. “Amazing!” “Gyahaha, have mercy!” “Please!” “I can’t keep up with…that!” Pointing with her right hand, Nu was still hunched over but began to gather herself. “I’ll show you something we can do together.” Nu bit her tongue at that line, she sounded like a tiny cougar. “That…was a little gross,” she considered still laughing, “So we’re both idiots, that suits me just fine!”
“Let’s try something we can do toget…” Nu shook her head, why did everything sound like a proposition? Nu cleared her throat. “Let’s do The Texas Two-Step, it’s easy, very much a dance you make your own.” Nu held out her right hand with a winking grin.
Making up nonsense lyrics that correlated to both the song and their stage in the repeating clockwork of the currently somewhat rickety two-step, over time Nu felt Magma getting into the hang of it. As she felt him grow more stable in the moves, Nu added a little flourish here or there, just for fun’s sake, and was pleased to see him adapt and add a little something of his own in return. Nu thought about introducing conversation into the mix, but eventually decided to just continue humming along. Moving into a top-like ballerina’s twirl that could only really easily be done due to the massive difference in their height, Nu realized she had forgotten whatever words she had been singing before. Nu smiled. A once and never again song. That held its own kind of charm, didn’t it?
