If I, fall for you
I'll never recover The lander was eager to hear from his dinner companion about his life. Normally this type of topic was frowned upon or unspoken, no one wanted to be the reason adventurers stopped appearing to save the day but when you were potentially falling for them and currently dating one, there were topics that you just couldn't avoid, especially if those topics heavily influenced your childhood and that is why Tadashi's face was calm and neutral and yet underneath his eyes sparkled with eagerness and yet he eyed the young fox tail skeptically as he thought about what he was going to say.
It wasn't his first time bringing the topic up, it was for Jacoben but not for him. He had tried to talk about the topic late at night with a few adventurers at a tavern who had taken one too many drinks, he had even talked to other people of the land about it, not to mention Zyrune. For some reason adventurers seemed guarded about it, their world was like this hidden secret that they didn't seem to want to talk about or share. Part of the reason was that being trapped in the unfounded kingdom was hard on them and seeing as they were unable to return like they previously had been able to, they simply wanted to forget which the lander understood.
However even though he had grown close to Zyune, close enough to the druid so that he shared a significant amount of secrets with the adventurer, even the pink haired half alv refused to discuss it with him. He wouldn't describe the world, what adventurers looked like or what coming to the unfounded kingdom as adventurers meant to them or what they did when they were here as adventurers.
And yet all of that only made the lander ask more questions and seek the truth out about these mystical living immortals that visited his world since before he was born. He closed his eyes for a moment as the fox tail started to talk, listening to each word closely. Apparently adventuring wasn't everything in fact it was seen like a hobby. Clearing his throat he tried to conceal his disappointment at the explanation as best he could. shaking his head and pinching the bridge of his nose for a moment, he inhaled a breath.
How could people see adventuring as unproductive? He understood what the fox tail had said and it even made sense if they were people of the land as it seemed like the kind of reasoning that they would use, but he didn't expect adventurers to be so similar. Adventurers to Tadashi were above all of that, above selfish reasons and actions, selfishly coming to his world to defeat evil and keep he and his people safe and yet that was the case and wasn't it. Yes they choose to come to the Unfounded Kingdom, and they choose to battle evil and save people of the land, but some refused or at least that was what he gathered from it. Some people refused or didn't see the point and the lander wasn't going to lie, that hurt him.
He was grateful that people like the sorcerer sitting opposite him existed, people who saw the wonderful beauty of his world and people, people who valued that and saw something worth saving and protecting. He prayed that the rest never came to his world. And yet as he sat back in silence he couldn't help but wonder if the adventurers were banished to this plain for their actions. Maybe the other kind of immortal beings hated Theldesia so much that they hated their own kind for protecting it and banished them from their homes to this world as retribution.
If Jacoben was correct and they had struggled to control their bodies here while the mind remained that might have meant they were vulnerable back home during the time they existed within Theldesia. Opening his eyes and taking in the shorter man before him, he smiled. Here was this cute quiet short fox tail magic user immortal being who had sacrificed his home to save Theldesia, to save the Unfounded Kingdom and people like Tadashi and he nor any of them seemed to ask for anything in return.
Of course that might not have been the case and it could have been pure fiction on Tadashi's part, but the lander was going to choose to believe it unless he found out otherwise. Reaching across the table to touch the shorter hand, he sighed contently as he gave it a short caress. "Thank you for being honest with me, you are the first," And he stressed that word. "To give me such an answer." He swallowed as he stared at the shorter man. "If you want to do something else we can," He smiled gesturing to the fox tail's plate of food that had been hardly eaten and more played with than anything. "I'm sure there still plenty to do and if you are willing, I would like to do them all with you."

"Any treasure you obtain without ever having to work for it is no treasure at all."
|
A bit of guilt trickled through his stomach when Tadashi thanked him, it wasn't like he had lied to the Lander but he still felt bad about not revealing the whole truth. He didn't like having to bend the truth in such a fashion, but honestly it felt wrong to simply state that in their world they were as normal as the People of the Land. That they had no magic, no power, and no immortality, only free time and a level of geekiness that attracted them to the game of Elder Tales. That sort of reality could only hurt Tadashi, and truth be told Jacoben wanted to forget about it too.
The Sorcerer's ears twitched slightly as his mind looped the suggestion to do something else through his head, twisting it around until the thought brought yet another flush to his face. This of course only led him to getting irritated at himself, which in turn led to more embarrassment in a loop of shame as he tried to fight his bodily reactions to his own thoughts. He had only just met the other man and he was already focusing on how much he just wanted to be held and kissed, his body practically burning to have the Lander's hands on him again now that his mind had gone in that direction.
He wanted to hide in his own dinner at this point in order to escape the embarrassment he was currently feeling, but he knew that there was no way he could do such a thing. Instead he needed to regain his focus and try and come up with something reasonable to say before Tadashi decided to comment on the interesting colours his face was turning... maybe he would get lucky and the lighting would hide the flushed face but he doubted that very much.
"I don't really know what I want to do now," he began as he stared out the window of the restaurant, "we already went to listen to the performances and we've eaten...sort of." here he poked at his food once more and frowned at just how quickly his appetite had vanished during the conversation they had been having. He couldn't help but wonder why that might have been, perhaps it was simply a matter of nerves? But he didn't really feel nervous, only embarrassed at his own lack of control. They could go back to the carnival games he supposed, but he wasn't sure if he really wanted to return to that area and even if he did what would they do there? That sort of felt like just going somewhere for the sake of going somewhere and he... no, going around in circles mentally wouldn't help anyone. "I'm not really good at making those sorts of decisions, I don't mind if you decide what we do next," Jac stated as he rested his head on his hand, trying to put on a disaffected expression even though his skin was still a little bit red from his earlier thoughts. He really didn't mind what they did, at this stage it was such a nice novelty to not be alone at this time of the year.

If I, fall for you
I'll never recover The lander's eyes narrowed and his brow furrowed slightly as he saw something flash across the sorcerers face for a moment before something else replaced it. Was he over thinking things again, it seemed that the sorcerer seemed to have trouble relaxing. His mind seemed to constantly switch gears until his mind was racing and overwhelmed with thoughts. And as cute as it was to watch him struggle with his internal monologue, the lander reached across once more to provide support in the form of reassuring caresses to his smaller hand.
It was clear that he wasn't going to be hungry at least not for a meal anyway, his nerves seemed to gotten the best of him. Biting his lips as he rubbed the adventurers hand, he tried to think how the sorcerer had become confident earlier in the evening. It was just after their lips connected as passion surged through their bodies for a moment and yet it hadn't been the kiss at all. It was the soft blanket of the aftermath, the caresses and cuddles and warmth of each others bodies sitting next to one another. That had brought the adventurer some peace.
"Why don't we go and get some ice cream, I hear it is perfect for couples to share on a night like this." He grinned ignoring the man's suggestions. It was clear that he wasn't going to enjoy any type of carnival game, he didn't seem to have the energy and no amount of food was going to fill a stomach that already held in it a big ball of emotions and they had already listened to the music. That had been the most interesting thing about the festival. Adventurers didn't seem to realize, but people of the land didn't seem to have a talent for music, baking and crafting yes but the creation of wonderful melodies and soft tunes to sway and dance to were just beyond them.
Of course by copying adventurers if was possibly to recreate their music but you had to study hard and watch closely and even then it wasn't the same. One had to focus incredibly hard and it was difficult to put emotion and energy into a song you were simply trying hard to copy. It was just one of the hard realities that people of the land had been required to face when the catastrophe struck.
It wasn't a real difficulty like the adventurers being separated from their other world, but learning that there were so many other reasons why adventurers and people of the land were different was just a little much at times to face. It was both the reason that Tadashi was inspired by the freedom and creativity of adventurers while other people of the land resented them because it meant that by definition if Adventurers were free in those areas, then people of the land were restricted in those same areas. And it wasn't a pleasant thing for many to learn that they were restricted especially in their old world by beings that already were so much stronger than them.
It just wasn't fair to many people of the land. It hadn't bother them before the catastrophe because adventurers had just been strong bodies to send to do hard work and admire from a distance but since the event occurred, it changed the format of the world, changed how things work. So in a way it was just as much a Catastrophe to people of the land as just as Adventurers.
Shaking his head he realized how much of a tangent he had gotten lost on. Letting out a slow breath, he smiled towards the adventurer with great admiration. "Come on it will be fun, we will some ice cream and we can cuddle under the stars as we walk." He started to rise without taking his eyes of the shorter man. "I insist, and if you don't want any, then I will have your one too." He laughed with a wink as he offered his hand to the adventurer to help him up.

"Any treasure you obtain without ever having to work for it is no treasure at all."
|
Jac's eyebrows twisted in consideration at the suggestion, his ears flicking around as he contemplated whether or not he felt like getting ice cream. Ultimately he didn't inteand to say now, after all one shouldn't declare that they didn't care and then decide to be picky about the choice made. For him it was more of a matter of whether or not he would eat the ice cream or not. Taking the offered hand the small Foxtail got to his feet and dusted himself off, giggling slightly at the sight of Tadashi wearing his robe, the too small article of clothing looking a little bit ridiculous on the larger male.
Without a word he took the Lander's hand and followed after Tadashi in their search for ice cream. He didn't even know if he was going to eat any but he was willing to go and do something else with the older male, so what did it matter what exactly it was. "I think I'd rather lay down at this point than walk around..." Jac murmured after a few minutes, the burst of energy he had felt earlier having vanished now as a result of the conversations they had been having. It seemed that he'd reached the limit of his adventurer stamina for now, and the urge to rest his weary head for a while was becoming stronger.
It was an interesting phenomenon, considering the fact that Adventurers could go days without food or sleep, and yet an evening of emotional turmoil still managed to drain him to the point of sleepiness. Once they had found a vendor of Ice Cream and Jac had ordered his (with bits of honeycomb if it was available) he would follow Tadashi to a decent place to rest, unless the Lander had any other ideas, a fair distance from the town so that the light pollution wouldn't ruin their chances of seeing the stars properly.
Flopping down onto the grass the Sorcerer would lick at his ice cream delicately, just staring up into the familiar starry sky as he pondered the rapid change in circumstances he had found himself involved in today. He certainly hadn't expected to find himself in a romantic relationship that was for sure, particularly during such a cliché time as Valentine's day. How was that even a thing? Surely it was impossible for someone to find another person, then agree to be together within such a short period of time, but there you had it, he'd managed to get himself a boyfriend on Valentine's day... it was so weird to even think about.
Pressing against the lander's side to share warmth and enjoy the sort of physical closeness that he still couldn't get enough of, Jac stared up at the sky to trace the various stars, not quite certain if there had been any changes to the stars of Theldesia. These weren't the same stars as home after all, and for all their similarities he could see various others sticking in familiar formations like an unwanted family member coming to visit.
"Mmm, this is nice..." the Foxtail murmured sleepily as he consumed his ice cream, the warmth he shared with Tadashi encouraging his sleepiness, but he didn't care very much. For once he felt safe to become sleepy around other people.

If I, fall for you
I'll never recover Letting their fingers interlace once more, the lander smiled as they moved, not before thanking their server however. It was clear that the shorter man had been quite torn before making the decision. But nevertheless he had decided to continue on with their night. It was a wonderful feeling as they moved hand in hand, holding the hand in a soft comforting embrace determined to never let go. Shaking his head at the man's amused chuckle at the taller man's expense, he sighed letting the sorcerer take some pleasure from it.
Maybe if Tadashi was a little funny looking or attracted more attention from the crowds of people gathered at the festival, the sorcerer would come out of the shell he had withdrawn into as they sat down for their meal. He didn't mind however as the fox tail was just as interesting to gaze at as he was to listen to.
"Green tea ice cream?" The lander scratched his neck sheepishly, musing over what ice cream to order. The fox tail who didn't seem pretty hungry moments before seemed to know exactly what ice cream he wanted and the sight of him ordering caused the lander to chuckle for a moment before he straightened his face. The festival seemed to have catered for everything as they hadn't moved very far at all from their previous table, before they found the ice cream stand light up like an exotic lights festival, the ice cream sparkling with flavor and colour under the soft lights.
Pursing his lips, he gave another glance over the flavors and the only ones that seemed to tempting him where the coconia fruit ice cream and the green tea ice cream. However he knew not to eat the coconia one, the side effects were a bag of embarrassment waiting to happen. Letting out a contented sigh, he nodded to the man to signal he had made his choice. Breathing in deeply as he smiled watching the fox tail lick his ice cream, he smiled at how adorable the boy seemed, lost in his own happy little world of pure happiness.
Rubbing his back, he thanked the vendor taking the ice cream cone from him before directing Jacoben back over to the soft river bank that Zyrune had performed his showtime skill at. The area was covered in grass, so lying down wouldn't be a problem and it was close enough to the music area of the festival to allow just enough background music. It was perfect. It was only added to when Tadashi sat back against a tree holding his arm out to allow the smaller framed man to push himself up against his larger body.
Another sigh of contentment left his lips as he observed the smaller man. Rubbing his cheek, the lander couldn't help but feel so at peace and yet he had to move for a moment. Raising himself up slightly, he made the adventurer sit up for a moment as he shrugged off the robe the fox tail had lent him before pulling the younger man back towards his body a little too greedily.
A small tint of red flourished over the lander's cheek bones as he pulled the robe over the short man's body so it resembled a make shift blanket of shorts. Of course it wasn't enough to cover them both, and maybe not even Jacoben adequately, but it was good enough to cover some of the shorter man's body. He made sure to do it swiftly and to silence the fox tail if he objected to it.
With the smaller body pressed against him, he couldn't help but smile peacefully, his entire body feeling warm. There was something sweet and honest about Jacoben, something that made him want to cherish him despite the rising feelings in the lander's body as he felt the fox tail rest his head against him continually licking his ice cream. The things that filled the lander's mind surely would have frightened the young adventurer and yet that only made the lander grin more.
Ignoring the flush rising up his body, he straightened his shoulders and took a deep breath before letting it pass over his lips. Jacoben need patience and love and so many other wonderfully beautiful little details. He wasn't just someone that the lander wanted and needed, no he was someone honest and kind and sweet and those traits needed to be cherished. It was quite beautiful lying here the soft music sounding in the background as the stars light up the clear sky above them. They had been lucky with the weather for the festival so far and even luckier that it meant a clear night sky to observe the portrait painted so beautifully above them each night.
He couldn't help it as he watched the night sky as Zyrune crossed his mind. He truly felt bad for the way things had gone down and he wasn't quite sure he could make sense of it himself. The day before they had the most perfect day together, they had kissed and danced and enjoyed each others company in a way they hadn't yet experienced and yet as the night rolled in, something was missing and the lander couldn't put his finger on it, but he knew it well enough to know things weren't prefect, however he hadn't had the courage or the strength to tell the half alv and when they had come across Jacoben, well things changed.
As if Tadashi was the world and Zyrune had been his moon, Jacoben just appeared like a bright all encompassing ball of light. He just shined in a way that drew the lander to him in a way he had never felt before, the sorcerer was beyond beautiful, the way his face was shaped, his lean body and bright round honest eyes that sparkled two different colors. Everything about the man refused to leave the lander be and Zyrune had noticed it.
The druid wasn't the best at concealing his emotions despite the calm facade he normally tried to wear. No the druid seemed to wear his heart on his sleeve and tended to over react at first, often calming down sometime later and despite the healer's actions being justified by Tadashi blantly ignoring his cries of attention, he didn't feel like he could tear his eyes from the fox tail. He didn't understand it, but he knew he felt things for Zyrune, feelings that were deep and true and complicated and yet he felt that and twice more for the fox tail, enough to make it hard for the lander to think properly let alone act properly.
Tadashi knew that the druid would be fine in time, he just hoped that he would be able to forgive the lander for his actions, maybe when some time had passed and he had gotten to know the fox tail and felt secure in their relationship enough, he would contact the druid and fix their relationship somewhat. But that was something to think about another day.
Letting out another happy contented sigh, he drew the man as close as possible. "I don't want tonight to end. I want you to fall asleep in my arms, so I know when I close my eyes tonight you'll be right where I left you my sweet." He planted a soft kiss on the lander's head. The pink blush on his cheekbones become more prominent as he realized how corny his words had been.

[attr="class","boneshatter1"] [attr="class","boneshatter2"] | AND WE'LL NEVER STOP
'CAUSE WE'RE ONLY GETTING BETTER
--- ALIVE AGAIN, ANOTHER DAY, I'M NOT AFRAID TO GET OVER --- |
[attr="class","boneshatter3"]So far, everything at the festival seemed to be pretty neat. Ducky had managed to eat some weird food that made people shout their love, met two strangers, witnessed an odd "exchange" of gifts (by exchange he clearly meant a gift for a weird look), and met two people that seemed to be pretty friendly. Ducky would call this a success since his friends list was a bit empty. Maybe before the night was over with he would ask to add them to his friends list. One was a cleric and the other was a monk, both of which Ducky had enjoyed but obviously cleric more so. Maybe getting Princess Ozma in a party with some strangers would help her to... Actually no, that would be a terrible idea. By the time the cleric had gotten the cookie to his lips, it dawned on him what parasole had been talking about this entire time. Without thinking, he dropped the cookie, waving his hands frantically in the air, protesting against any hint of romantic relationship. "Oh, no no no no! I don't even know this man!! Nope! No!" Awkwardly running his fingers through his hair, he slightly moved away from Shuwen, laughing nervously. But then he realized that this might have offended his new friend, so he quickly corrected himself. "Not that, you know, there's anything wrong with that. I mean people like who they like, you know? It's not my place to say. So if you're into that, man, I mean that's cool and all." But by then any damage that was caused was likely said and done. Changing the subject sounded like a fantastic idea, and that's exactly what he did. "So...yeah, I never learned to cook or anything, but I collected some models growing up. I like to put things together and take them back apart. You'd think I would have subbed for mechanic or something related, but nope! Went for scholar and alchemist. Like to read and all, so thought scholar might be neat. Alchemist was kind of a "spur of the moment" type decision, but so far it seems pretty cool. So what made you two decide on your classes? Any special knowledge you brought from the real world to the game?" During the conversation, Ducky's hands were wild, moving about rapidly and making no sense at all. He mentally made a note that he needed to be more careful because he could easily hit someone very quickly. "Any treasure you obtain without ever having to work for it is no treasure at all."
|
Grumbling slightly in sleepy irritation at being forced to move, Jac barely noticed the fact that his robe was now thrown over his legs in an imitation of a blanket. The cool night air barely bothered him, not only was he an adventurer but he was also a Scot so a mild English winter was practically nothing to him at this point. It was only after he was allowed to la back once more that he stopped his subvocalised complaints and went back to eating his ice cream properly. He was getting to that level of sleepiness where he could only really focus on one thing at a time, which meant he wasn't really aware of Tadashi shifting around beneath him.
The stars were beautiful, the alternating pattern of dark and pinpricks of light spellbinding in a way he hadn't really appreciated for the longest time. Here and there were swirls of colour that came from the milky way and the Sorcerer couldn't help but imagine how it might look if it could be captured in cloth, or some other sort of artform. A painting or urn or something that could capture the subtle variations in colour and shade with the gleaming specks of the stars.... if he went blended his paints and then used a silver leaf or something.... it could work. "One day I'm going to paint that," he declared sleepily, waving his hand towards the sky to make sure that his point was conveyed properly.
He could see the various blacks and blues and purples in the sky, the sort of colours that had to be blended while painted rather than added one at a time. They needed to run into each other seamlessly just like the real thing. He had also been a fan of Sci Fi settings before the apocalypse, and sitting here like this reminded him of the intense beauty of space. But he was in a fantasy world now and he was quite happy with the situation he had found himself in, for all its troubles Theldesia was by far one of the most fleshed out MMO worlds he knew of and that made it easier to start a new life in the new world.
Shifting back against Tadashi the youth turned his head to the side and passed his half finished ice cream to the Lander, done with the frozen treat and unable to continue holding it as lethargy spread through his limbs. His eyes slid closed as he was pulled tighter and the combination of mental exhaustion and encompassing warmth, the need to sleep gripping him as much as Tadashi was. "If I wasn't so close to actually falling asleep on you I might have thwacked you for such a corny line..." the silver haired teen murmured as he wriggled slightly to get more comfortable. It was strange that he felt safe enough to sleep out in the open with someone he had only just met, but then what was the worst that could happen to him? If he was killed he'd just die and revive at Westminster Abbey.
"M'gonna nap...can't stay here all night bu' need....rest" Jac breathed out as his multihued eyes slid shut and his stilled in a sort of semi-conscious state of slumber. He was vaguely aware of his surroundings and would be able to remember what had happened while his eyes were closed, but his mind and body had slowed to allow him some time to recover from the various surprises that had plagued him over the day. Tucking his chin to his chest the Foxtail would begin his slumber, his single visible tail curling around his side to rest on the top of his chest where the robe didn't cover and giving him something to bury his face in.
Lulled into this sleepy state by the warmth and the sound of Tadashi's heartbeat, Jacoben would rest for a few hours unless woken beforehand. Either way, once he began to stir it would be a long process of fully awakening (unless he was woken in a stressful situation) involving shifting around, yawning, curling up on his side for a few minutes, before rolling over a little more to rest on his stomach atop Tadashi's larger body. With sleepy eyes of gold and blue he'd stare out from beneath a curtain of fur from his tail and try to make sense of where he was.
It would take the Sorcerer a few more minutes of staring before he realised just who it was that he was using as a mattress and his face would once more go red with embarrassment as he covered it with his silvery tail, hands coming to cover whatever could still be seen through the tail. He had fallen asleep on someone? Someone he'd only met very recently? Oh god was he that desperate for affection that he'd act this way around the first person to show him even the slightest inkling of romantic interest? What was wrong with him?
"I am so messed up," he muttered into his hands in German, a language that his translator was set not to translate (something he had done early on when he had needed to complain to himself and Jane kept butting into the conversation). "I think I'll just let the ground swallow me up now....or perhaps I can commit Seppuku, that might work as well" he groaned in embarrassment. A few more moments of barely audible verbal self flagellation and he was ready to face the individual that he was still laying on top of.
Lifting his tail from over his face he stared up the broad chest and into Tadashi's eyes, his cheeks dusted with pink as he quickly glanced away. "I'm sorry I fell asleep on you...." the youth stated softly, embarrassed that he had done so both literally and figuratively when his sudden need to nap meant that Tadashi was left alone with a sleeping boy on top of him. It wasn't just embarrassing it was rude and he could barely look the older man in the eyes.

If I, fall for you
I'll never recover Making sure he was comfortable, he let the adventurer huddle into him once more as they stared upwards towards the clear night sky full of sparkling lights. It was a wondrous and impressive sight. Tadashi wasn't sure when was the last time he had taken the time to stop and star gaze and yet he was grateful that he couldn't, as it made this moment even more special.
As the two looked towards the stars, he held the shorter body close as Jacoben voiced his wish to paint the beauty of the stars. Shaking his head, the lander pulled the robe further onto the adventurer making sure he was adequately covered by it. "You'll have to manage to stay awake first," The lander chuckled softly as he felt a wave of sleepiness wash over him. It must have been contagious as normally the lander would never have been this relaxed sleeping out in the open.
“Hmm..” The larger man moaned in reply, biting his lip so that he wouldn't reply with yet another sickeningly corny line, the lander watched as his wish came true. The struggle of the smaller body fighting to stay awake was soon replaced by hushed breathing.
As the lander lounged against the large tree that, his hair falling into his half lidded eyes, he let out a contented breath as the shorter body huddled into him snored slightly, Tadashi couldn't help it as he smirked trying his best not to move too much so that the fox tail wouldn't wake. Another breath passes over his lips as he stared towards the sky, stroking a soft hand down the adventurer's bare skin, he savored the feeling of the fox tail's body pressed against his for as long as he could before finding himself nodding off.
**
Darkness surrounded the lander, except for the light of bright large moon hanging above in the sky. It took him a moment longer than he expected as he felt something tickle his feet, looking down he noticed the green grass covered ground beneath him. Swallowing he looked around to see that it seemed to extend on as far as he could see, just endless fields of green. It was so calm and so peaceful.
"Beautiful isn't it?" A voice beside the lander spoke. Although it was sudden, he couldn't help but feel relaxed. Turning he saw the familiar figure of the half alv standing beside him with a vibrant smile and arms folded behind him, he looked straight ahead, however the lander seemed to be caught for words. Looking at the druid in confusion he couldn't understand it.
The adventurer just tilted his head and pursed his lips together in a pout. "Cat caught your tongue?" The pink haired druid asked with a laugh that seemed to echo like music in the air around them. "I love you."
The lander's eyes just widened at the revelation and yet he still couldn't speak. "Didn't I tell you before, I love you." The druid just smiled as he returned to gaze out towards the horizon as if his words were so innocent and harmless. He said it so bluntly, without any hint of hesitation or uncertainty and yet as the lander felt his heart pound and felt his body wish to reach out towards the druid he thought of the fox tail as if knowing the druid just laughed. "You are such a sap, you know that?" He smiled with a devilish glint in his eyes.
Before either of them could say anything, the lander saw the druid wince and he quickly followed his gaze towards the figure running towards them. "TAAAAA DAAAAAA SHIIIIIIIII!" The cheerful accented voice called out towards him and he could feel himself smile. It seemed like it took the fox tail seconds to reach them, but he when he did, he swung his arms around the taller man's neck and pressed their lips together.
"You make a wonderful couple." The druid's voice sounded, the lander could feel the hurt in each word before a gust of wind seemed to blow through the area pushing at him. Letting out a sigh, the lander relaxed as his body feel backwards, the sorcerer still wrapped around him smiling vibrantly as if nothing more made him happier and as a result the lander couldn't help but reflect the happiness back with his own goofy grin.
**
Tadashi squinted in irritation at the noise nearby. Mindlessly cursing himself for not closing the window to his bedroom before trying to pull the covers over himself only to find the fabric is caught under the second body lying on his. Blinking rapidly in realization, no longer half-asleep, he is pulled from his dreamlike state back into the present.
A hitched breath escapes his throat as the lander remembered where they where, but it’s still a little hard to believe he’s actually here lying underneath a large tree, with the person he just confessed to having feelings for and he can't help but take some time to marvel at the sight of the messy grey hair and soft ears resting against his chest, the smaller body seemed to mumble something incoherent before shifting itself closer to his body.
Taking a breath, the lander's mouth slips open and he hesitantly lowers his head to press his face into them mound of grey to hide his smile. For a moment the lander just lay there listening to the adventurer's even breathing as he tried to calm down his own suddenly racing heart. While he had been confident the night before, everything is all pretty new and some part of the lander fears he could screw it up or that things wouldn't feel the same just like they had with Zyrune. The fox tail might even wake up any moment and change his mind; decide it is all something he regrets. Holding the smaller body close, he savors the feeling, knowing that he needs to preserve it for as long as he can.
As if knowing his plan, the short body begins to stir and Tadashi felt his shoulders tense slightly. Holding his breath, he prayed the adventurer would fall back asleep but his wish didn't seem to be granted as the boy continued to shift this way and that on top of his body. He continues his hand motions caressing the soft skin of the sorcerer before he hears the body grumble on top of him. The lander froze for a moment, hand falling limply beside him.
As the short man continues to mutter, the lander's heart begins to race but he refuses to move. He can't understand a word and yet the accent sends pleasant shivers down his body. "I'm sorry I fell asleep on you...." Tadashi couldn't help but blush, his cheeks gently turning red as the sorcerer gaze away.
Letting out a yawn, the lander reached under the smaller man's chin and lifted it, so that they were nose to nose, his eyes staring into the dual coloured ones which fluttered so beautifully. "Don't be," The lander's lips curve into a lazy smile, but he presses their lips together before the shorter man can look away or respond, sighing against the fox tail's mouth.
He knows he caught the fox tail off guard, but eventually the sorcerer relaxed into it and Tadashi savors each seconds that passes. he doesn't mind that his mouth is partially dry or that his legs are going numb from the way his boyfriend is laying on top of it. He grins and he feels like melting, to stay there in that moment for the rest of the day (or maybe forever).
But eventually he pulls away, swiping his tongue across his bottom lip. His eyes are still droopy, the rough edges of his normally confident personality softened by the sleepiness of the morning. Unsure of what to do with himself, he simply does nothing waiting for the shorter body to move first. His cheeks heating up slightly as he savors the intimacy of the moment.

Two Bodies, One Mind Hp: 100 Mp:100 Still holding the cookie in her hands, the red head hesitated. Parasole was still unsure whether eating the thing was a good thing to do, then again it would be overly rude not to eat it after she accepted it and pawed it, it wasn't like she could give it back and if she threw it away without tasting, Shuwen was bound to be insulted.
However she seemed to be momentarily saved as the monk and cleric continued to chat, meaning if she replied quickly it wouldn't appear so weird to just be holding the baked goods for as long as she was without taking a bite. Pursing her lips, she broke off a small piece that looked entirely cookie and void of coconia pieces and brought it to her lips, nibbling it as the monk talked. Licking her lips, she really wanted to eat the entire thing, but she couldn't risk what she might reveal if the coconia effect took place.
"I wasn't so good with baking or cooking," The female admitted with a shrug. "Give me an essay or a sport and then I'll be good." She smiled watching the two. Out of no where, the cleric seemed to somehow come to realization of what she had early been insinuating when she thought the two were in love. Immediately he came alive and and started rambling that he didn't really know the monk or that he didn't have a problem with gay people making it overly known that he didn't have a problem with them or with Shuwen if he happened to be gay.
Nothing could stop the woman from laughing as much as she did. Clutching her sides, she laughed watching the pink haired man's face. She didn't know why she found it funny, maybe it was the irony of it all or perhaps it was Ducky's face as he came to realization or the monks face as he realized that Ducky indirectly said he could be gay. Either way the female was bent over in knots of laughter unintentionally but thankfully dropping the coconia cookies in the process.
It took a few moments, but eventually she grinned wiping away tears from her eyes as her laughter subsided. The pink haired cleric didn't seem impressed as he struggled to continue on with the other topic of skills. His hands were alive and the red head couldn't help but smile. It had been some time since she had been able to laugh as much as she had, and as she watched the cleric she couldn't help it as her heart twisted as if telling her to get to know him, but she swallowed still continuing to smile as she pushed the feelings down. She couldn't let herself get close, not while there while the prison that held her still existed.
However she made a mental note that the cleric was also an alchemist, hopefully given time she might be able to convince him to lend her his talents, but that was for another day. Letting out a sigh, she shook her head playfully. "I didn't really have anything in mind, I was supposed to play with two friends, I guess I was gonna take on one of the party roles, we even awoke here together but they recently left Londinium." The female frowned for a moment sadness washing over her face but just for a moment before she smiled. It was clear that there was more to the story and she couldn't help it as she wondered how well Autumn and Og Loc were managing.
They refused to talk via telepathy and she couldn't help but think that they black listed her. The two had decided to leave Londinium in search of other adventurer cities with her. The two had contacted her several weeks ago telling her that they had left but wouldn't tell her why they had left her. It didn't seem fair at the time and it didn't seem fair now and yet she couldn't help but hope they were okay. They hadn't respawned within Londinium, or at least as far as she was aware anyway.
Shaking her head, she smiled once more. "I doubt a business degree is gonna help me here."

“Huh?” Rubber Ducky seemed to have figured out what Parasole was getting at, but because of it, he was acting really strange too. Geez, what is with those two? Or is my ADHD acting up again? Knowing himself, it was probably the result of a social cue he’d missed. As if that wasn’t bad enough, Parasole seemed more then a little amused by his response. In fact, she burst out laughing.
Oh come ON! Am I the only person who dosen’t get what’s going on? However, he didn’t want to look like the only idiot in the group, so he held his tongue, hiding his frustration behind a fake smile. Fortunately, Rubber Ducky went out of his way to change the subject pretty quickly. The topic was, for some reason, their real world skills, and how they pertained to their subclasses. He didn’t pay a whole lot of attention until Ducky mentioned he was an alchemist, at which point the Monk would start babbaling. “So you’re an Alchemist then? Finally! I’ve been looking for one. Have you had any luck making a viewing aid by any chance? Like binoculars or a spyglass? Because it would save me a lot of time searching for mobs in the field.”
“I didn’t choose my classes based on my real world skills. I went with monk because I heard it was great for soloing. Back on the American server, I played as a Guardian, but didn’t enjoy it very much because I usually ended up playing by myself. I went with Chef because I wanted to feed myself.” While he was talking, Parasole took a tiny bite out of the cookie, apparently afraid it was going to eat her back or something, which he thought was a tad silly.
Parasole mentioned playing with two friends, which he figured wasn’t all that uncommon. MMOs like Elder Tale really encouraged people to party up, unlike himself. She also mentioned that she had a business degree, though it probably wouldn’t be much use here. “Don’t be so sure. There is an economy here, even if it’s a lot simpler.”

[attr="class","boneshatter1"] [attr="class","boneshatter2"] | AND WE'LL NEVER STOP
'CAUSE WE'RE ONLY GETTING BETTER
--- ALIVE AGAIN, ANOTHER DAY, I'M NOT AFRAID TO GET OVER --- |
[attr="class","boneshatter3"]As Ducky finally managed to calm himself, he couldn't help but to start laughing alongside the female cleric. She was totally innocent and thought she had figured him out, certainly, only to find out that he was just as oblivious. And poor Shuwen! Through some of the tears, Ducky managed to see that Shuwen still looked as uncertain and confused as he was before. Mentally he made a note to explain things a little bit better in the monk's presence if, of course, the two kept on contact or ever run into each other again. In a few moments, he was able to stop laughing, though he never quite laughed as hard as Parasole did. Something about her laugh made him smile warmly, remembering what it was like to have a genuinely good time. Princess Ozma was always so depressing, which made him the official cheerer-upper...if that was even a word. But he was the self-appointed, designated optimist, and as such he took his role very seriously. It was sad that Rubber Ducky had never found himself in a deep, intimate relationship, but he could easily see himself attaching to someone as carefree as him. Who knows, maybe I'll find her here in Elder Tale. It'd be an odd place to start a romance, really, but this is basically my new reality anyway. He listened as parasole talked about having a degree in business. No, it wasn't going to be quite as useful as someone who was a mechanic in the real world, or someone who studied herbs, but Ducky was certain she could find a use for it. "Parasole, why don't you try and start your own business? You know, buy low and sell high? Money can't exactly buy much more than large guild halls and buildings I suppose, but it has its own uses." His attention turned back to Shuwen, who had asked him about crafting. "Well, to be perfectly honest, I haven't started leveling it yet... but if you want, I can add you to my friend's list and let you know when I make it that far. Would that be okay?" His warm smile returned, only to find himself quickly making an addendum to his previous statement. "And you too, Parasole! I'd love to hang out with you guys more often. I'm new to this cleric thing, but I tend to catch on pretty quickly." He held out his hand for both of them, hoping to get a handshake from each. "Any treasure you obtain without ever having to work for it is no treasure at all."
|
When rough lips pressed against his own Jacoben's eyes were forced to look forward at last, the surprise causing him to forget his embarrassment for a few moments and the sleepiness enough that he didn't either move away or press forward instead accepting the kiss with an almost disbelieving bemusement. It was still so new to be the focus of someone's affections, the Sorcerer uncertain of himself and even this arrangement between them. Perhaps Tadashi would decide that he preferred Zyrune after all, or just that it wasn't worth putting up with someone who had as many issues as the Scotsman did.
It seemed however that his lack of confidence did not put a damper on Tadashi's kiss, and eventually the smaller male relaxed into the action, allowing the Lander to take the lead in the action. It wasn't like he really knew what he was doing, but the feeling of the dark haired man's lips and tongue against his own sent sparks through his body, the hands that rested against his hips (when did they get there anyway?) eliciting similar feelings as he eventually pulled back and sat up in a straddle over Tadashi's waist. Part of him wanted to stretch but another part thought perhaps that was a bit too suggestive, and yet he didn't really want to rise to his feet just yet when he could remain comfortable and warm here.
It was the depths of night, and it seemed the festival was winding down for the time being, which meant there was little worry of them being seen considering the distance they were from Stratford. Barely anyone would even consider going this far from the town to the river, and particularly not in the dead of night. With the silver light of the moon the brightest source of illumination the two were a contrast of soft light and deep shadows, a sight that the artist in him would be glad to bring to life in the future.
"I guess we should see if there are any spare rooms in the inns, it's far too late to head back to Londinium now, and I need more sleep..." Jac murmured softly, making no effort to move from his spot in Tadashi's lap as his tail flopped behind him limply, the appendage unneeded for balance and its owner too tired to lift it up any further than it had to be which left it covering the upper half of Tadashi's legs like a blanket. He almost wanted to either lean down to obtain further kisses, or simply open his arms to ask for more, but part of his mind was calling himself all kinds of unflattering names as he subconsciously worked to sabotage his own self-esteem. Still, he would not turn down any further physical affection, the lack of such contact in his life thus far making it a very difficult thing to turn away from.
His tiredness combined with his conflicted thoughts meant that he would remain where he was until Tadashi or someone else went out of their way to move him. He wanted more sleep, but if they went to an Inn they would need to be separate. He wanted more kisses, but if he asked for them he'd feel like he was being too easy. Most importantly, he didn't want to have to make a decision.

If I, fall for you
I'll never recover Tadashi watched the shorter body wake up slightly, hair mussed and falling into his half-lidded eyes. The lander couldn't help it as he let out a contented breath. Blinking he let the sorcerer move and adjust himself as much as he needed. Waking up for the shorter man seemed to be a rather long process and he wondered if it was due to only having a quick nap or was the cute adventurer normally like this.
As the short body straddled him, he fought his bodily urges hard and simply allowed himself to enjoy the shorter man's warmth, subconsciously leaning into the body beside him, letting out another contented breath of air. As he breath, he couldn't help but notice that the festival was wrapping up and everyone was beginning to head home or find rooms to stay in. However neither of them moved, preferring each others company.
Due to it being the final day of the festival, that meant that Tadashi would need to check back in with his shop at some point the next day and that wasn't sitting well with him. It was like enjoying a holiday that had to be cut short, but Jacoben was no vacation, he was the real deal and the lander had been hoping to spend a great deal of time with the shorter man, getting to know him and hopefully improving the bond between them.
"Room," The lander spoke tiredly in response to the sorcerer's suggestion. "Spare room." It was then that the sorcerer's tail landed in his lap. With one hand around the boy's back, he allowed his free one to caress the soft furry tail from start to finish in soft gently caresses before continuing. "I was serious about not letting you go before." The lander's voice was completely serious and even his face bar the hint of red that adorned his cheeks was that of a serious expression. "We are staying together." As if reading the shorter man's mind, he shushed him. "No funny business." He ran his tongue over his lip. "However tempting it is. I will settle for waking up to your handsome face." This time as his fingers moved through the fur on his lap, he brought their lips together for another kiss, letting him savor the sorcerer's taste and take advantage of his sleepiness.
Leaning back, he stretched his shoulders for a moment, taking in a deep breath, he removed the hand from the man's furry tail satisfied that he had stroked it enough, he braced himself, holding the fox tail tightly, he pushed himself and the fox tail up, using the tree he was leaning against as way to help him stand. Eventually Tadashi stood with one hand around the fox tail's back and another underneath him supporting him, so that he was carrying him. It would have been easier if the fox tail were to wrap himself around his neck, but he didn't say it.
The shorter figure was far easy to carry than he originally thought, but he knew that they couldn't stand still or his hands would eventually grow weak especially since they had only woken up moments before. Deciding it was best to move before the fox tail had a chance to collect his thoughts and object, he gave a quick look to the ground to make sure they hadn't forgotten anything before starting to move towards the town. "Did you have a room booked before?" He refused to look down at the sorcerer as they moved, partially due to the fact that he might not be able to control himself at the sight of the shorter man cuddled against him.
Letting out a sigh as they moved. He swallowed before speaking again. "Any suggestions?"

Words: 566 It seemed that something about the situation amused Rubber Ducky too, because he too quickly began to laugh, and quite enthusiastically at that. Shuwen felt a stab of irritation. Great. So I’m really the only person who doesn’t get what’s going on. Wonderful. Just wonderful. He briefly shot a glare at the two of them, though managed to cover it up fairly quickly. Rubber Ducky also tried to comfort parasole over the apparent uselessness of her business degree, but was a lot more wordy about it. As he continued to talk, Shuwen began to feel his eyes glaze over, and his attention to wander. It looks like my HP bar is almost full. I might be just about ready to head out. He’d almost forgotten about his initial purpose in Stratford, but it quickly came rushing back; he hadn’t attended the festival entirely out of choice, but because his HP was low and he needed to kill time until it recovered. He’d completely forgotten about it during the cooking he’d been doing. Upon checking his interface, he realized that his HP bar was once again full, and had probably been so for some time. Whoops. That meant that unless he found something else worth entertaining himself over, it was pretty much time for him to leave. However, he had no time to bring it up, as Rubber Ducky had finished his spiel and turned back to him. Apparently, he hadn’t done much leveling period since the apocalypse started, much less leveled his crafting, so he was still essentially useless in that regard. However, it seemed he intended to do so at some point at the future, and wanted to be able to contact him once he did. I guess there’s no harm in that is there? “Alright then, let’s add each other.” Bringing up the option on the interface, he added Rubber Ducky to his frend’s list, and hit the “accept” option once he was asked for confirmation for Ducky to do the same. He then turned toward Parasole to see if she was interested in doing the same, but she seemed to have spaced out for some reason, so he didn’t bother asking. “Well, I think I’ve had enough of this festival, and my HP has finished recovering, so I think I’ll be heading out.” The festival seemed to be pretty much over; most of the participants seemed to have already left all the sudden, and those that remained didn’t seemed to be interested in doing all that much. There was simply no reason for him to stay any longer. “I’ll probably be in or around London if you ever want to party up or something. I’d give you an address, but I haven’t bought a house yet.” He didn’t have nearly enough money for that yet, so he’d been renting rooms at one inn or another whenever he needed to. “I guess I’ll see you two another time.”Assuming that neither of them wanted to come with him, he turned away from the festival, toward the edge of the town’s zone. It was quite late at night, so he the field zone was probably a bit more dangerous then usual, but he’d kept a Nighteye potion on hand for precisely such an occasion, and felt more then ready for whatever was out there. Hopefully I can avoid enough fights to get back to London safely.-Exit-

"Any treasure you obtain without ever having to work for it is no treasure at all."
|
Jacoben shifted around slightly on Tadashi's lap, trying to get a little more comfortable as he seemed to have been pressing against the man's belt or something which poked him uncomfortably. Half drifting back to sleep even though he was now sitting upright, the Sorcerer was surprised when he felt a hand run through the fur of his tail, said fur puffing up under the touch as it trailed down from base to tip. His eyes widened and his cheeks darkened as the sensation of being petted shot through him in the most unexpected fashion. No one had ever touched his tail like that before and he was suddenly very glad for that, his body twitching as the nerves fired off and reported back to his brain.
He barely registered the other's words for a few moments, and the incredulous look that he shot Tadashi was not quite what the Lander thought it was for. As rough lips pressed against his own he reached behind himself and grabbed for the hand before it could make another pass through his tail, entwining their fingers as though he had just wanted to hold hands rather than stop the petting. He wasn't sure if Tadashi would fall for it, but he didn't want to just openly reject the touches no matter how uncomfortable it made him feel.
The sudden shifting of the world beneath him caused Jacoben to startle slightly, his legs pulled up and to the side as Tadashi got to his feet and cradled him in the bridal fashion. While they were outside of Stratford he allowed himself to be carried, despite the amount of embarrassment he felt at the act, but as they got closer to the light of the streetlamps the Foxtail squirmed to be put down, letting out a sigh of relief once he was on his own two feet. Sure it was nice to be carried for a while, but he wasn't ready to be seen in such a fashion and he couldn't help but feel things were moving just a little too fast for him now.
Straightening up his clothing the Sorcerer pondered Tadashi's question for a moment before shrugging. "I hadn't booked a room yet, and by this time of night there's probably not many options left...." he responded, chewing on his bottom lip while he waited for Tadashi to make up his mind as to what to do. With no real set idea in his own mind he would follow after the Lander and accept whatever in the older man chose or could find with enough room for them. Carefully ignoring any pointed looks or comments the Innkeeper would make about a pair of people renting a room during the Coconia festival Jac would place his gear in their room and choose one of the beds that were made available for them. Once they were all set up Jac would prepare himself for sleep, cleaning his teeth more out of habit than any need to (that self cleaning feature was still hard to get used to even after a whole year) and changing into a nightgown for sleep.
Murmuring a very sleepy 'good night' to Tadashi he would be out like a light the moment his head hit the pillow and wouldn't wake until morning.

Two Bodies, One Mind Hp: 100 Mp:100 "Start my own business?" The woman whispered as her head was filled with all sorts of ideas. It was true that there still was some sort of an economy, wasn't much and a lot of it had to do with basic trading, especially when dealing with the people of the land, who still currently sold things pretty much at the same price. Would it be alright to sell things cheaper and just what things would she sell. Everything was literally up in arms and so far Parasole hadn't exactly leveled her crafting class that much.
Opening up a food shop wasn't really that much of a stretch it seemed at least not within this new world. Perhaps it wasn't such a bad idea to consider it. No one seemed to be getting out of this world any time soon and well it was certainly true that Parasole would need money to live, perhaps she might even manage to purchase a house and run her shop from within it.
Both of the men opposite her, seemed to think that a business was a viable option and while Parasole may have had the qualifications for a intern role back in the old world, it was certainly the qualifications to run an empire here. She couldn't help it as she blushed at the thought of one day being the head of a business chain.
Still though, there was a time and place for those kind of thoughts. As she managed to zone back in, Shuwen was saying his goodbyes. Letting out a sigh, she nodded at Ducky's request opening up the interface and accepting the man's request. Quickly turning to the fleeing monk, she just managed to send him along a request before he was out of range. However now with him gone, it just left herself and the cleric.
With a smile, she took his hand briefly giving it a shake. "It was nice meeting you Rubber Ducky." She gave a chuckle as she said his name. "I think I better head too, I need to find a room to stay soon or every place will be packed."

[attr="class","boneshatter3"] The young cleric nodded at the other two adventurers, acknowledging their goodbyes. He was quick to add parasole, too, and he wasn't ashamed to say that he didn't hesitate because she seemed like such a cute friendly person. He had to remind himself that in the real world things would be much different, but right now he might as well flirt and make some friends along the way. Her avatar was pretty, but then again he hadn't found too many people who purposely created ugly avatars, either. Shuwen had just turned to walk away as he caught himself listening to parasole mention the business idea. "If you ever do get your business started, I'd love to stop by. I'll be your first customer - promise!" He gave her a thumbs up, flashing his signature smile. She was getting ready to find a place to stay for the night while he had a bit of a trek back out into the wilderness where he assumed he would find Princess Ozma. Deep down he knew it wasn't the best idea to bring her here, but maybe she enjoyed something or some part of the festival. Before parasole could take her leave, though, Rubby Ducky reached out and grabbed just above her wrist. "It was very nice to meet you, parasole. I hope that we can spend some time together or get adventuring at some point." He bowed his head slightly and took his own leave, heading out in the opposite direction of his new friend, feeling slightly jittery and strangely light.
