For some reason, I feel like someone’s insulting me or categorizing me based on my appearance. Steel thought to himself as he conversed with Charuen. He felt a perverted presence from nearby although he couldn’t completely pinpoint it yet. It was then a strange creature jumped onto Charuen’s shoulder and started rubbing his head onto her cheek. Right after that, the thing started staring at Steel as if it was claiming its territory. “So that’s where the perverted presence came from.” He said as he stared back at the fur ball. He didn’t know what the heck it was saying if it was trying to say something in the first place but he just got that sort of feeling from it. It was then a person came onto the scene, probably the perverted creature’s owner. If the creature is this perverted, I wonder about the owner. He thought in his mind while keeping up his conversation with the pinkette. All of a sudden, he was hit in the head by a Guardian skill that made use of the shield as a weapon and Steel hit the ground. For now, he wanted to see what this guy would do next. At this point, Steel regarded this person as dangerous at the very least as he got slapped multiple times. It was then the guy put what he considered compensation, Steel could feel it on him, and took Charuen by the hand rather roughly from Steel’s point of view and hurriedly try to walk away. Steel just got up and ran after them. He got hit in the head by a skill while he was in the middle of a conversation and then he just walks off. The new guy for some reason reminded Steel of the pervert who tried to molest Charuen when he first met the pinkette. And now, at the very least, he wanted to get back at the Guardian for earlier. Due to his speed, it didn’t take long to catch up to them and he grabbed ahold of the guy’s shoulder. “You know, it’s rude to hit someone who was in the middle of a conversation with another.” Steel said as he applied strength to his grip. Despite his appearance of looking moderately thin, he was quite physically strong. It was strong enough to cause the Guardian’s hand to let go of Charuen’s based off of reflex. Steel’s face looked more serious at this point. In Steel’s mind right now, the Guardian in front of him was another one of those pervs after his pinkette friend. “Also, you shouldn’t hold a girl’s hand so tightly, you could hurt her.” It was then Steel used his agility and martial art skill to get in front of the guardian and grab him by the collar in an attempt to perform a martial art throw on him. Due to being 6 feet tall, it gave him great height leverage and power to slam the man to the floor head first. “That was for hitting me earlier.” He said before turning to Charuen. “Are perverts still going after you or something Charuen?” He asked his friend. In his mind, the person he just slammed down was a pervert. “You gotta watch out for them you know?” Words: 545 Charuen@0x1dea OCC: Quite rude if I do say so myself hitting someone in the head when they're in the middle of a conversation

Yeah, no template this post. Deal with it. I'll edit it in later, perhaps. Blah, blah, blah 15 minutes left to finish this post and arrive at the restaurant. Assume each minute that passes in real life is equivalent to a minute in this post. Let's see, it's 6:00 my time right now and I should get this finished by around 6:15. Apparently I was supposed to write my post yesterday but then everyone posted again so now I'm even more late and have more posts to read. It was beginning to become similar to how the winter ball thread went. At first, there was no one posting and before long, half the active members on the site were posting. One could just imagine how big the thread would have been if there were not just three event threads but rather just one event thread. Combine that with the requirement to receive Coconia event bonuses (this post was #2 for your {mostly my} information). I'll edit this post again later so if the word count gets higher than about three hundred words, you'll know when it's actually completed. Now that I think about it, I'm probably not going to edit in the template after all. Only Charuen and Oxford at this point of time would really care to read my posts in particular detail while all you other readers are just weird people wanting to read a weird person's post. Weirdo. Okay, okay, so where was this restaurant? 123 Dimensional Theater Rd. It was simple enough from understanding just what the Dimensional Theater was. It was the large theater building located at the center of town. Apparently the large structure doubled not only as a place where people could enjoy or partake in plays, it was supposedly one of the administrative buildings of the city. Not to mention it contained a teleporter that led right into the middle of a corrupted dimension called the Miasma Realms. Wow, and people still chose to visit it as a destination site even despite the risk of some mutated evil creature popping through the gates and attacking? Maybe the people just had a little too much faith in the Wardens to clear up the problem before it started. Well, she hadn't seen any commotion within the city that loomed of drama, so one would have to concede that the city's security plan did indeed work. It was safe enough that she could choose to walk around, hiding her Heretic class status (there were plenty of people who converted to the Heretic class via the Nocturne Program) without getting into any trouble or causing suspicion. Very few other Heretics were at her own level where they could potentially do some damage if they had happened to go rogue. She supposed that she had the peaceful atmosphere of the city to thank for in order to allow her to walk around the area and admire the festivities. Now came the more pressing question at hand, and it was a question that still gnawed at her troubled mindset. WHERE exactly was 123 Dimensional Theater Rd? It was a simple street number, an obviously memorable housing number that would otherwise have made it easy to fine, right? It was definitely supposed to be somewhere in the downtown district for sure, but the area surrounding the Dimensional Theater would really be considered downtown in any case. Heaven forbid someone decides to research a Mapquest App to add to everyones' interfaces because she didn't have much of Avon explored. No one was crafting maps anymore while Londinium was essentially all mapped out. Midori read through the crowds haphazardly, dodging through crowds of people. She sidestepped a couple of people holding hands and quickly slid past a pair of Adventurers about to kiss each other. The two lovebirds who were intimately staring at each others' eyes were immediately startled by a mop of raven-colored hair sweeping right in front of their faces. Luckily she made that slide in time, or else that would have been a very awkward situation. Well, it still was an awkward situation. She felt two pairs of eyes staring at her from the back, but she really couldn't focus much on this. The young magician ran back several more carnival stands and made it right out of the carnival grounds and finally into the Dimensional Theater district. Anyone who happens to look in that direction would notice the small frame of a schoolgirl-looking character dashing as though she was running away from Luna mentioning stats, math2, or Magic the Gathering in the chatbox. Yeah you know what, this post is done since Harmy's going to post next. Enjoy. WC: 783

The druid felt his face drain as he steadied himself, Tadashi making sure he was steady before letting go. Before the two of them stood a slightly damp partially sticky familiar looking fox tail stripping as quickly as he could. The remainder of his drink had either been knocked over or he decided to let go of in the process to save his attire. Zyrune could only watch as the grey haired dual eyed fox mumbled something that he was sure wasn't a greeting. The two had met once, no twice before during their first day within the strange new world, and although it wasn't new, it was still pretty strange. Not much had been said between them, but Zyrune was sorry he hadn't gotten to know him more that day as he recalled how tough the world of Ender Tale had been for him since that day, he could have used a friend. Instantly the half-alv inspected the fox tail like a worried mother after it had just found its lost child at a shopping mall. "OH MY GOD! I AM SO SORRY! I GOT DISTRACTED AND DIDNT SEE WHERE I WAS GOING! I'M REALLY SORRY!" Zyrune stated frantically. He probably would have even offered the fox new clothes if he had it, however the druid had yet to make anything with his new tailor skill.
"My apologies," Tadashi began who stepped forward to address the young wolf who Zyrune recalled went by the username Jacoben. "No it is my fault." The lander began. "I wasn't looking where I was going and I didn't see Zyrune here had stopped and well we collided." Zyrune eyed the calm speaking lander with curious suspicioun. Why was he saving him? Taking out a handkerchief the lander when to remove some of the liquid from the foxtails face and the jealously could easily be read on Zyrune's face. "Please if you'll let me, I'll buy you another drink." Before either the druid or the foxtail could utter another word the lander had faded into the ground, presumely to find a vender selling the sticky drink. Turning his gaze back to the foxtail, he eyed him dressed in his simple grey pants and baggy dark grey sweater like top, he seemed very cute and innocent, if not cuter by the disgruntled look on his face. The notion of Tadashi finding him cute however caused the druid's heart to fall into itself. Surely the Tadashi didn't fancy the grey haired fox, if he would Tadashi would have said something about it, then again they rarely talked about love interests during their times together. And what if Tadashi did enjoy sweet embraces from the fox which he was sure felt like silk hugs, why did that matter so much to Zyrune. That was when the druid noticed the fox glaring at him or was he starting, it was really hard to tell after a meeting such as that. "Are you okay?" Zyrune managed trying his best to push down any thoughts and feelings regarding Jacoben and Tadashi.

"KNOW THAT I'M ALREADY HOME" "Meep!" Upon being separated from Oxford, Charuen found herself being jostled around until she ended up being pressed up against a stranger. Or at least, who she thought was a stranger. A familiar voice called out her name, and upon taking a look at the young man whose arms she found herself in, a smile appeared on the pinkette's face. "Oh hello Steel!" She said pleasantly. She would have given the swashbuckler a wave, but there was too little room for her to raise her hand and do so. The young man seemed to notice this as well, and even mentioned about the potential of misunderstandings. Thus, the cleric nodded and allowed herself to be led out of the crowd by her friend. The sooner she got out of the theatre the sooner she could find Oxford... Upon being separated from the crowd, Charuen found herself standing a short distance away from the theatre chatting with Steel. "It has been a while!" she said, echoing her fellow half-alv. "I am doing quite well. I levelled up quite a bit and even joined a guild. They are such wonderful people." Char's eyes sparkled as she thought about her new family in the Unfounded Kingdom. "And you, Steel? How have yo-" Before she could finish speaking, the Cleric felt something soft slide around her neck. The feeling was a familiar one, and upon looking down at her shoulder, she found an affectionate briar weasel nuzzling her. "Omo!" She gushed, recognizing Oxford's friend. She gave the animal a gentle rub before turning back to face Steel, and just in time to catch his words. Charuen frowned slightly at the adventurer, and confused expression appeared on her face. "Well that's not a very nice thing to say." She said, looking at him. "Omo is not perverted. He is a very nice briar weasel..." The pink haired beauty's voice trailed off as she recalled the time the adorable critter had helped her collect apples and pears to make a pie. The following seconds were a blur. A tall adventurer who she vaguely recognized as @0x1dea appeared out of nowhere, brandishing his large shield. Char let out a small squeak as it was waved around -- it had missed her by less than a centimetre. "Be careful with your shield, Ox!" She laughed as she brushed a strand of loose hair behind her ear. She was about to tease the guardian a bit more about the ineffective use of his shield against fruit flies (Yes, she had noticed them and had understood what Oxford was trying to do.) when she saw Steel lying on the ground. A gasp escaped her lips, and she was about to bend down to make sure that he was okay. However, her guildmate seemed to have noticed his mistake, and bent down to check on Steel before she could do so. Charuen watched worriedly as the guardian left a note of apology, as well as a little bit of gold. As Oxford stood up once more, the healer opened her mouth, ready to suggest that since she was a cleric, she should take a look at the fallen swashbuckler. However, she found herself unable to do so, for her mind went blank and her heart skipped a beat when the higher leveled adventurer took hold of her hand. My hands are so small in comparison. She thought, looking down at their entwined fingers. The fact that she was being pulled away from Steel don't even register in her head. She was reminded of the dance she shared with Ox in the Snowdonia complex, and the warm feelings she had felt that evening. The expression on her face brightened even more as Oxford mentioned her good friend Midori, as well as the possibility of other AAA members being present in the city. "Oh how lovely! It would be great to see everyone again. But perhaps we should turn back and make sure- " The pinkette was unable to finish speaking, for Oxford's comforting hold of her hand suddenly disappeared. Next thing she knew, Steel was grabbing hold of the guardian and attempting to throw him to the ground. Upon being asked if perverts were still after her, an unnaturally calm expression settled on Charuen's face. She did not look angry, but the lack of the usual smile on her face was well, unsettling. "That was uncalled for." She said quietly to Steel. "What Oxford did was an accident and not intentional, and your response was immature. He had left you a note of apology. I admit that staying to make sure you were okay would have been the better decision, and honestly I would have turned back myself to make sure that you were, but in no way was your action just now justified." Charuen extremely disliked it when people responded rashly to situations, especially with violence. "Oxford is a friend, not a pervert, thank you." She said curtly in response to the young man's question. She wasn't quite sure what her guildmate had done for him to be identified as one by the swashbuckler. "I appreciate your concern, Steel, but perhaps we should end our meeting here before there are more...misunderstandings." It was quite clear that she was less than impressed by the way the younger adventurer had acted. Charuen gave Steel a polite nod before turning around to face Oxford. However, someone else managed to catch her eye on the way. "Midori!" She exclaimed and rushed forward to give her friend a warm embrace. "It's so nice to see you here!" Char gave the heretic a friendly smile. If she was upset over what had just occurred, she did not show it. But that was what she was good at -- not showing what she truly felt. Hiding her emotions was one of her strengths. Nonetheless, a small grumble, originating from the pinkette's stomach, sounded. An embarrassed laugh escaped from her lips as she said, "Looks like I'm feeling a bit hungry..."

Midori's magatama necklace started to glow faintly as a crowd of people had left the Dimensional Theater and walked in front of her way. Considering the density of the crowd, she had stopped running and was now reducing her speed to that of a crowd. The girl was decent at avoiding large crowds, but this one was too dense for her to risk possibly getting trampled. She felt it odd that the necklace was glowing, however. The object was said to glow when it reacted to negative energy. The brighter the glow, the stronger the reaction. The magatama was a bit faint, but she definitely felt something. Maybe the presence of Miasma? Probably not, it would have been a stronger response. She figured that maybe there were people in the crowd feeling upset in some way. It was curious. Was the theater not enjoyable? Were there people lamenting on not having a date? Or... was it something else...
But come on now, why was Stratford so big in this world? For a city based on Shakespeare's hometown, this was just a lot bigger than it should have been. She knew that Londinium was a lot smaller than London after the transition, but the large size of the city just made it look bigger than the real life town. She should have known since her own hometown was just a little way north of the original town. It was a peaceful town that possessed a bit of tourist destination potential, but she supposed that not every city would have been exactly the same anyway. The Adventurers probably expected cities along the same standards as Londinium in a mostly ruined and reclaimed land. However, the classic agrarian appearances of Sarum and the organized castle city of Stratford had went against that stereotype.
"Writer, time is at a premium here! We only have 10 minutes to give or sell these two extra tickets, not to mention we need to find this restaurant!" We? I don't know what you're talking about. Midori's temporary stress toward finding the restaurant had caused the magatama to flash for just a moment. At this moment, Midori had stopped entirely. She had already reached the Dimensional Theater district, so there was less of a need to rush. Light beads of sweat could faintly be seen on her forehead, though mostly covered by her fairly long bangs. She was never much of an athlete in the real world and although Adventurers in this world possessed stronger stamina, Midori had needed to exert a good amount of energy in order to run this much across the carnival grounds. Maybe she needed a candy. It was right before dinner, but she needed some source of energy to keep going. It was either candy or the off chance that someone would come and cheer her u-
"Midori!"
Well, you got what you wanted. The raven-hair, with her concentration focused away from the crowd of people, hadn't noticed her good friend in the crowd of exiting theatergoers until she had heard that voice and immediate hug. Her body was grabbed tightly against that of her good friend, noticeably jolted for the first instant because she had been caught off-guard. The little magician did not participate in very much social interaction before, so even a hug was something that would probably take her time to get used to. Nevertheless, as soon as she recognized the voice and the familiar features of the girl who had just came up to greet her, Midori's mood just became all the more assured. The two girls hadn't actually been friends for very long, but she felt that Charuen's openness was genuine enough that she was able to be herself around her friend. But something bothered her inside. The magatama... was a little brighter than before? Maybe it was just acting up.
"C-Charry!" It was a bit of a silly nickname, considering that her friend addressed her by her proper IGN, but the other girl had liked the cute nickname when she had said it early on. It made their names rhyme. Somewhat. "It's really nice to see you here too!" she gave a quick glance at the situation now that her attention was brought back to her surroundings. Charuen was here. She saw Oxford over a few meters away, presumably they had come to this event together? In the back of her mind, she was getting the sneaking impression that she'll become a third wheel. However, at the moment, she was pretty pleasantly surprised. Her eyes went toward a boy she didn't know and by the expression and body language, was there something going on between them not a little while ago? She didn't want to question any further and besides- oh dear, only eight minutes left! Where was this restaurant!? Her eyes noticed a rather prominent restaurant in the distance, its logo that of a British man in chef's clothing. It almost looked like the KFC food chain logo in a way. Stratford Dining, by Level 90 Chef Gordon Ramsey. There was a long line of guests waiting to enter the restaurant, presumably people who were on the standby list and without reservations. Well, that was simple. She found the restaurant already. Well, that was anticlimactic.
"Actually, Charry and Ox, I managed to get three tickets to a reserved restaurant somewhere around here! I was worried I'd have to give the other two away to a stranger, but if the both of you don't mind, we can go for dinner?" her expression brightened up a little more from the suggestion. Because really, a girl's number one love was food. If you don't believe me, wait till the Coconia Dishes come out in a little while. "But actually... maybe we still have a little time." So maybe they could spend the few minutes prior to the dinner arrangement doing something else for a bit? Actually, eight minutes was just about enough time for them to play a carnival game or two. They could certainly play more in a little while, but it should have been a nice gesture to set the mood. She didn't know why but she had detected a bit of a tense atmosphere just a moment earlier from the necklace's reaction. Well, in case it wasn't just her imagination, it was her time to act like a good friend would when presented with a lot of carnival games she knew how to play.
"Got any plushies you'd like me to win, Charry? I'll win one for us-" Charuen's stomach had apparently objected to that plan. As the two girls were still standing right next to each other, Midori had heard it just as clearly and had joined in by laughing. She gave the pink-haired girl an additional hug and then grabbed her friend by the hand. "Okay then! Let's save that for later, but for now, let's go eat~!" Giving Charuen one of the tickets, she walked over to pull on the Guardian's sleeve as she essentially pulled the two toward their destination.
The outside of the nearby restaurant was rather intimidating from up closer. The waiter standing at the door was dressed in formal attire and had a physical build more akin of that as a bodyguard almost. It wasn't every day that you'd see a buff bodyguard. Nevertheless, beside him to the right side of the restaurant was the standby line where people without reservations waited, just in case open seats were available or if someone had missed their reservation time. Maybe it was a smart idea to dine first, since it seemed like a strictly enforced system. Everyone else seemed awfully dressed up, or at least most of the people who were People of the Land had done so. This must have been a very famous restaurant among them.
"Reservations, please." As expected of a man of that build, his voice boomed and slightly startled her. Midori pulled out the three reservation tickets and handed them to the man, whose stern expression lightened up. Surprisingly, his voice also changed dramatically in tone, becoming more charismatic this time around. "Thank you, ma'am. Please have your party come inside and find an available seat in the reserved VIP area. The Chef's Exhibition is about to start."

You two can describe the restaurant interior. I'll introduce the exhibition in my next post~

So, a lot of things happened all at once, so the author had to make sure he got his spot in before someone butted in again. Of course, despite the reservation being made, this individual still thought he could go ahead and barge into things, but then again, this is an open thread. These things happen. Anyways, Ox was listening to Char’s question until someone managed to break his hold on Char’s hand, the sudden grab causing the guardian to spin around to see the man from before, spewing something about ‘pervert this’ and ‘pervert that’. How ironic that the one saying this was probably the grabbiest one here, because just then he grabbed Oxford’s shirt and attempted to…stretch it, I guess? Basic mathematics and a grasp on the simple logic that governed this world must have escaped the young man’s delusional mind, because the last he checked, there wasn’t any way a player over twice someone’s level could fall to someone who attempted a basic throw move. If he was Monk, maybe, but this guy was a beanpole. A stiff breeze could probably knock him over. The whole circumstance caught him off guard, but he calmly, yet firmly, extended a stiff arm and pushed the offending party back to restore the personal space of his that had been rudely violated. After the minor scuffle had been settled, Ox straightened out his shirt, his only possession remaining from a time on a previous server. Precious memories were tucked in this shirt, so the fact that this crude kid stretched it out made him a little sore about the whole ordeal. While he was doing that, he overheard Char’s stern conversation with this acquaintance of hers. The young man then came over to offer his apologies, which Oxford would have warmly excepted…that is, if he wasn’t acting like a hypocrite, giving him advice on stuff that was already common knowledge to nearly everyone. He was already tired enough, and to have the guy who attempted to throw him give a lecture made things even worse. He ignored whatever else he wanted to say, the black-clad man’s words floating away in the wind as the guardian ignored them. Thanks, but no thanks. With a swipe of his arm, he de-summoned his pet, letting him rest once again.Once Charuen had rejoined him, he reached down and held her hand once again as they entered the carnival area of the festival. Large crowds of people were abundant here, most of them possibly consisting of the crowd that attended the play from earlier. Tired from sitting down for about an hour or two, the group had probably come out here to stretch their limbs with a little bit of whack-a-heart or a round or two of knocking over stands of bottles. Wow, I didn’t expect this many people to be here, Ox thought to himself. It’ll take a miracle to find Midori in this crow— his thoughts were abruptly cut short when he heard the pink-haired cleric call out to the familiar raven-haired co-leader of the Apocrypha guild. Ox gave her a friendly wave, tucking his hands into his jacket’s pockets as he listened to the two of them chat. He didn’t know why, but seeing other members of his guild getting along with members of his bro’s guild made him feel pretty happy. He turned to look around at all the carnival games, eyeing some of the plush cat animals that one stand offered for prizes until he heard his name mentioned. Turning his head from the cute kitty plushes, he listened to Midori’s question about getting dinner, then the bit about playing a carnival game. “Ah, that sounds great. I could use a little fun right about now,” commented Ox, stretching his arms in the same way a baseball pitcher would, eyeing one of the games involving throwing an object at something else. That is, until he heard a grumbling sound emanating from Charuen’s stomach. Or maybe it was his? Now that he thought about it, he hadn’t had anything to eat since he woke up. That, plus his long trek here, was enough to cause his stomach to grumble as thoughts of food began to pour into his head. “Yeah, I could eat something right now. Hope the restaurant has enough food for the three of us though” he said, cracking a smile as Midori effectively dragged both him and Char to their dinner destination. As they approached the restaurant, Ox couldn’t help but noticed that the waiter was incredibly ripped for some reason. Seriously, his arms looked like they were tree trunks or something and his chest looked like someone had ripped open his ribcage and stuffed with a barrel inside him. Depending on what level he was, one punch from him could probably send you right back to the Abbey. Only if you didn’t have a reservation. Luckily, Midori had provided tickets of the three of them, so they wouldn’t be seeing any knuckles up close today. His voice seemed to carry everywhere as he asked for reservations, Midori placing the tickets in the waiter’s hands. After verifying that they were legitimate, the waiter led them inside towards the VIP section. All the other tables were filled with Landers and Adventurers alike, the few VIP tables being the only vacant ones available inside. A candle chandelier hung overhead, casting a soft, ambient light inside, the individual candles placed on each of tables amplifying the effect. As the three took their seats at one of the tables, Ox looked around at all the outfits of the people in here. Everyone was looking all prim and proper, wearing exquisite outfits and jewelry to add to the posh atmosphere that seemed to permeate throughout the entire venue. After seeing this and looking back down at his simple shirt-and-jacket combo, he felt woefully under dressed compared to the other guests, but that really didn’t matter to him. If need be, he could always change back into the fancy suit that he had bought for Snowdonia Ball, but unless the others felt the need to change, he’d stick with what he’d have for now. “Sooo, any idea what the chef will be serving?” Ox asked as he looked at the two ladies sitting with him. He never heard of this place, and had no idea what the chef would be cooking. Probably something with Coconia, no doubt about it. |

“Note, what note?” Steel asked in confusion. “I remember something being put on top of me but from the weight, I never thought it’d be a note. I didn’t really see one either when I got up.” He could obviously tell that the pinkette was in a bad mood and Steel wanted to make sure that this incident wouldn’t end on a bad note. “Although usually I’d question whether or not that was actually an accident, you’re face doesn’t look like it’s lying so I’ll give you the benefit of a doubt and think of this as an accident. Second, I’d like to bring up the point that I was hit from behind. Therefore, I wouldn’t be able to know what led up to that since I couldn’t see what happened, accident or not.” He then turned to the person Charuen called Oxford and helped him up. “Sorry about all of that man, I thought you were somebody who was kidnapping Charuen. It didn’t exactly help that you hit me with your shield and ran off with her like that. You were looking around nervously as you were running as if you were afraid of being caught of something so I guess that’s why I thought of you as suspicious. Here’s a few words of advice, don’t swing that shield around other people. What would have happened if you hit one of the People of the Land? You could have accidentally killed him or her. What were you aiming for in the first place anyway? If it was something small like a bug, it wasn’t worth using the shield.” At this point, Steel was no longer mad at the fact that he got hit in the head but rather, what could have happened if it hurt someone else. It seemed that his personality as a shadow was showing even here. Rather than complain about his own suffering, albeit minor suffering in this case since it was just a shield hit, he brought to light the potential suffering that others might have received. That was what he called his role as a shadow. “Also, don’t act in such a suspicious looking manner. It makes the situation worse, as you should probably know from what happened just a minute ago. As I mentioned earlier, I thought you were somebody who was kidnapping Charuen.” Steel then just sighed a little at how he was acting this way towards someone who was higher leveled and probably older. Some people, even adults these days can’t think before they act can they? He thought to himself with slight annoyance in his mental tone. “Well, I can at least say I’m relieved that you’re just Charuen’s friend and guild mate and not some dirty old man like last time.” He then began to manipulate his menu and did some stuff. “I’ve added you to my friend list. This has nothing to do with what happened earlier, I just wanted to find some people to cross swords with in the future. I know I can’t beat you at my level but I’ll catch up to you in level at some point. When that happens, let’s have a duel. I just thought something like that would be fun.” Words: 539 Charuen@0x1dea OCC: Was there a need to end it on such a sour note? Ah well.

Since being trapped in this game Hawk had not had any sense of relaxation or fun in it. He has only been grinding to level up and working on his skills. When he heard that there was Lunar Festival at Stratford he decided that it would be the best opprotunity to take a break from working and searching for his number one target that got him stuck here in the first place. As he walked down the streets takeing in the fresh air noticing that the snow was melting and the spring time was about to be in full he could not help but get a slight grin on his face. The closer he got to Stratford the more he noticed that the festival was starting to get in full swing. Hawk decided to hit the market district first getting one of the local beers sounder pleasing to him as he got deeper into the market district (Site A) he began to notice all the decorations and all the stands in the area. The air was thick with the smell of beer and grilled meat and almost made even Hawk drool. He noticed all the wardens wondering around partying and enjoying what the festival had to offer. This made Hawk feel at ease as he noticed all the children, women, and men having a great time. Hawk soon found the first reason why he decided to go to the festival he saw a stand that was selling pints of beer. The line was long and full of wardens on break though but it might as well be worth the wait. Surprisingly he only sat in the line for 10 min before getting his beer. The vendor was quite funny to kingmaker all sorts of lewd jokes about the women he seen at the festival. It was obvious that he had been drinking his own product. When Hawk drunk his beer he could not stop it was absolutely delicious and he waited in line for another the Cocnia juice hit it with the right amount of sweetness. He had never tasted such good beer, after the fourth time in line Hawk was feeling pretty grate not to intoxicated but just thr right amount he had go his fill of beer. Now it was time to find the stake stand that he was hearing the wardens talk about. All Hawk had to do was follow his nose and it led him straight to it. The was not much of line as it started to turn into night time and more and more people started to flood the streets. When he finally reached the fron he found a sweet women grilling the stakes. she was obviously having a great time serving everyone as she would comment on where to go in the festival and which vendors had the best items or foods. Hawk finally got his she said that her recipe could not compare with the recipes of the the bigger more main event stake houses, but he did not care for the quality having a short wait was fine for him he thanked the women for the steak and he found a spot to sit and enjoy it. His first bite into the stake his mouth flooded with the rich sweetness of Coconia juice mixed with the stake fat, it was not only good tasting, it was tender and just plain out delicious. He could only imagin what a steak houses Cocania steak could taste like. When he was at the steak stand he heard the women mention a carnival part of the festival maybe he would go visit it next. Who knows who he might meet here. Valerie NoirWord count = 616 + 50% bonus= 924

"Any treasure you obtain without ever having to work for it is no treasure at all."
|
Jacoben looked up in surprise as the druid started to apologise, that was rather odd considering the way that Zyrune had acted back when they had first met the Fox-tail wouldn't have thought he was the kind to apologise over something like this. Shrugging and waving off the apologies that came from both the druid and his compatriot the youth froze as the unknown male helped wipe some of the cider from his face, his ears pressing back against his head and his tail flicking nervously at the unexpected physical contact.
As the unknown man went to replace his lost cider Jac stood their awkwardly, still obviously very tense at having been touched. The look on Zyrune's face only made him feel more uncomfortable, an obvious jealousy playing on the Half-Alv's features before it was hidden away behind an expression of concern. Jac couldn't really be sure if the feeling was legitimate or if the Druid was just trying to hide his less than positive emotions in public. Tail flicking in agitation the white haired male licked his palm and scrubbed at his face a bit, trying to remove the sticky cider from his face to feel just a little bit less gross than he did currently.
"I'm fine, I just need to find some water or something to clean up...." he stated quietly, wincing as his ears tried to straighten up and his hair stuck to the silvery fur and tugged at it uncomfortably. After a brief moment of wondering where he might be able to find some clean water the Sorcer slapped his palm against his forehead when he realised they were in Stratford Upon Avon and a river ran straight through the middle of the town. "I'm going to wash my face in the river, thank your friend for the offer of a drink for me," he stated shyly, multi-hued eyes staring up through his fringe at the pink-haired Druid
With that said he began to walk away, trying not to rub at the cider that was drying on his skin and hair in fear of making it worse. He didn't really stop to see if Zyrune would object to his leaving, or even if the other Adventurer had decided to follow him. Jac simply wanted to clean himself up and also hide his embarrassment and tension at having been touched by someone who he didn't know, not to mention someone who seemed to have been important to Zyrune. The last thing he wanted to do was cause trouble for anyone, and it seemed that whatever was happening between the Druid and his companion might cause problems if he hung around any longer.
Upon reaching the side of the river the Fox-tail began dipping his hands into the cold water and bringing them up to splash over his face and hair. The sheer relief that came from freeing his furred ears from his hair caused him to sigh happily, and soon enough he had cleaned the last remnants of the cider from his body and dried it off on his dirty robe. Standing up to figure out what he was doing next the Fox-tail couldn't help but wonder what the issue was for Zyrune.
OOC NOTES: Word Count: 808 (539 + 269 bonus) Tags: Zyrune If you want to follow him down to the river that's probably the best route, at the moment he doesn't think anyone would be interested in interacting with him.

While many people were in town for the festival, Valerie was happily walking down the snowy hiking trails in Avon (Site D). She jumped up onto snow-laden branched, causing snow to plummet to the ground below. The brunette let out a melodic laugh and jumped down into the huge soft, snow pile below. She dug herself out and popped her head out the side and crawled out. She laughed at herself, knowing her jacket looked greyish instead of black because of the snow. Shaking the remaining snow off her body, she made her way down to the market place (site A), letting her nose and stomach lead the way. Valerie soon ended up at food stall which sold a local specialty, Coconia Steak. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of meat and jumped in line to purchase it. Once the meat was in her hands, it took no longer than one second for her to take a bite out of it. When the taste of meat touched her tongue, she gasped and quickly ate it without knowing. “I love this thing.” She said, but she sadly looked down to see her hands empty and pouted. “I have to get more.” She said to herself and she grit her teeth as she waited impatiently in line. She ordered two steaks and was looking for a place to eat her food in peace. Out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a male player sitting alone and slowly approached him. “Can I sit here?” She asked carefully, knowing that they served alcohol in the market place and drunk people were hard to deal with, something she was not to fond of dealing with. The thought of alcohol seemed like fun in a game where you could never die, maybe she’ll go find some later. Word count: 303 Noir Hawk

With the cookies made, Shuwen wasn’t really sure what to do next. All the unexpected effort that had gone into the cooking had really tuckered him out, at least mentally. The chef that had instructed him had been a little too into the whole “tough love” thing. Sure, his skill as a chef had probably improved significantly thanks to his time working under an actual chef, but it had left him tired out during an event he hadn’t really expected to be working much. Aw well, at least he got a nifty food item for it in the process.
As he looked around, he realized just how out of place he was. It seemed to be getting later in the night, and the more casual partiers were beginning to leave; most of those who remained seemed to have either grouped up, drunk themselves into carelessness, or otherwise found a place for themselves within the vast festival. In what he grimly realized was a feeling of desperation, he tried his hand at a few more carnival games. He started with Pin the tail on the llama, in which he didn’t get anywhere close to it (fortunately for the llama). He tried the one where the person hides a trinket under a cup, moves it and two other cups around, and makes you try to guess which one the trinket is under, but that didn’t go any better. The Monk had found something to occupy him briefly, but it had only been a temporary measure. Now, he was more or less adrift. A wallflower like him didn’t really have a place in a celebration such as this. He continued to wander around the carnival grounds, as if trying to memorize the layout from an ant’s eye view.
Eventually, he found himself at a riverbank on the edge of the grounds. At first he thought he was more or less alone, but was quickly proven wrong when he heard a splashing sound from nearby. Another individual seemed to be washing themselves in the river for some reason. Well that’s odd. Why is he or she washing here of all places? Well, at least he or she is wearing clothes. He couldn’t tell much about the other person in the darkness, not even their gender. He could see foxtail ears, and that the person was delicately built, like most foxtails seemed to be, but that didn’t reveal much. Maybe they spilled something on their clothes?
“I guess things didn’t go as planned?” He asked casually, feeling a little nervous now that he’d broken the silence. “That happens sometimes.”

| pull the trigger and end the game | |
Normally Noir wouldn’t find himself out taking a stroll for absolutely no reason. This even more so when there is tons of snow all over the place. He finds things like this rather unenjoyable. Most of the time he’d rather be polishing his gun, or relaxing in a bar talking to the ladies while enjoying a nice meal along with a cold one. He soon found himself walking down a paved path surrounded by trees. He looked up into the sky, and noticed a full view of the night sky. There was a mass abundant of stars, each reminding him of home, where he could be spending time with friends and family. However he was inside of a game. The light from the stars and moon shined down upon the snow revealing a brilliant white glow. A small smile grew along his face. “Maybe this isn’t so bad after all….” He said to himself in a soft tone his breathe being revealed to him as a white smoke due to the low temperature. After spending time reminiscing in his past as he walked along the path he soon found himself atop a hill. He was then met with a large city. There were tons of lights and a large crowd all along its quarters. It had seemed a festival was going on, he could see a carnival going, food stands, and an abundance of other things going on below. “Maybe I’ll go check it out, I might meet some interesting people after all.” With that in mind he set off, walking along the path as usual, whistling to himself as he walked. His feet slapping the ground with his hands in his pockets. He drew closer and closer and which each step the sounds grew louder and louder. His senses soon became flooded, the sounds, the smells it was overwhelming and reminded him of cities back home. He was once again flooded with memories, these of the childhood relation. He was reminded of going to festivals in Tokyo with his mom and dad. The smells reminded him of his mother’s cooking and it actually caused him to salivate a bit. Usually he didn’t have feelings like this overcome him. But he shook it off and continued down the path. Noir finally found himself in what appeared to be the heart of the market district. He was surrounded by a various assortment of stands ranging from food to merchandise. He found himself wading through the crowd taking in all the scenery. The crowd was massive and he was having a bit of trouble getting through the massive waves of people. However, moments later he made it through and found himself in front of a food stand. He was getting pretty hungry and decided to stop and grab a bite to eat. He approached the counter and asked for the specials. He was then told to try the Coconia Steak and the Coconia beer. So he ordered some of both and paid the bill. He then noticed there was a man and a woman sitting down. He thought they might be a couple but this is the one time he didn’t want to eat alone. So he approached the two. “Do you mind if I join you? All these people are a bit much and a small group would be nice to talk to.” He stood waiting an answer so he could sit down. ▲ 572 + 286 = 858 WORDS ● TAGGed - Kirkwall - Valerie ● NOTES

Hawk was enjoying his night so far had some good beer some good food and was about to set off to enjoy the rest of the festival. That is when a pretty young adventurer approached him and asked him " Can i sit here"? He got caught a little off guard by the question but was glad to have some company especially after having a few drinks in him made him want to enjoy the company of others. " Of course it would be great to have your company" he patted the spot to the right of him inviting her to join him. It was only a few min after that another player came to them asked " Can i join you". Hawk was happy that he was getting so popular. " Of course ha this is a festival right the more the marry-er!" He patted the spot to the left of him. " Glad to have you all join me I see that you got some of that fantastic Coconia beer and steak there Noir. I almost could not stop my self from eating and drinking i would made my self a very poor man". Hawk got a great smile on his face and looked over to Valeria " How about you have you? If you have not got any of these specialty foods and drinks I highly suggest it haha". It might have been the beer talking, but Hawk was for the first time content with having some company around him..." Im considering going to the Carnival part of the festival it would be great for you to join me." Hawk wrapped his arms around the both of them waiting for their answers as he looked back and forth between them. Word count 287+50%=430 Noir Valerie

The girl smiled at Hawk and sat down beside him, nibbling at her Coconia steak happily. Less than a minute later, a warden came by and asked for a seat as well, which the red samurai gladly gave him. Now Valerie was sitting beside Hawk, and Noir beside him. This made Valerie grin, thinking about how interesting of a picture they made, a little girl dressed in black eating two steaks with her hands, a red samurai drinking beer and a warden with a beer and steak. I never knew wardens ate food. She thought to herself, as she finished both her steaks, satisfied with her stomach full of meat. The brunette looked at Noir’s beer and looked around for the stand that sold it, but couldn’t seem to find it. Her plan was to get some beer after she finished the meat, but she felt bad for leaving right after she was done. Then the brunette felt an arm wrapping around her and she turned to look at Hawk with a quizzical expression on her face. He told them about the Carnival and asked if they wanted to go together. She had heard people talk about the Carnival while she was waiting in line for the Coconia steaks and was debating if she should go or not. She always wanted to go to a carnival but she was scared because she knew that there were going to be a lot of people there. Valerie grimaced slightly but her desire for fun and adventure rule over her fear and she nodded reluctantly. “Will there be beer? And lots of food?” Valerie asked suddenly, sitting up straight like a kid who wanted candy, looking at both Noir and Hawk for an answer. Word Count: 291 *1.5 = 436.5 Hawk Noir

Hp:100 Mp:100To say the time was awkward was an understatement and Zyrune prayed that the lander would return soon, he guessed that due to the number of people around that venders would be pretty crammed and backed up thus making his wish unable to come true any time soon. Zyrune could only watch as the short dual eyed fox licked at his hand and tried to clean himself, in a way he could understand why the lander might have a possible crush on the fox, he was cute and seemed innocent, like a lost kitten or puppy. The feeling only made the druid more jealous, why did the lander consider him more cuter though, then again why did Zyrune care at all who the lander thought was cuter, he had no intention of intiating something with him and he had the right to pursue a romance with anyone he wanted, but then again did it have to be someone who Zyrune managed to brush off his first day. "I'm fine, I just need to find some water or something to clean up...." The druid didn't say anything as he was lost in thought, however that didn't seem to stop Jacoben. "I'm going to wash my face in the river, thank your friend for the offer of a drink for me," This time however Zyrune had caught every word, looking up to meet the adventurer's eyes, he nodded unsure of whether to stop him or leave him go. If Zyrune was honest he wanted to forgot about the fox and enjoy the remainder of the carnival with Tadashi and not have to worry about Jacoben, but still the 'good' person in him told him he should care more about the people he interacts with. Letting out a long slow breath, the druid nodded as the foxtail made his way through the crowd and as if by magic Tadashi had replaced him at his side. "Where is he?" Looking up at the lander, he could see the concern on his face, Zyrune shrugged. "He said something about washing it off." The druid looked to his friend hoping they could just move on with their day, but alas that was not going to happen. Giving him a stern look the lander just shook his head. "If you aren't going to give people time, then how do you expect them to give you any?" Well the lander had him there. Letting a sigh pass his lips once more the druid nodded. "Fine we will help him." Looking sharply around at the passing number of people for the short grey haired fox, unfortunately for the half-alv the fox was good at hiding and with the growing number of people entering the streets with each passing minute Zyrune couldn't help but feel it was a lost cause. Looking sharply over to Tadahsi, the lander now had his back to him, busy searching the crowd for Jacoben while he held the foxtail's replacement drink. The druid shook his head, he was too nice, as he watched the man for a moment he noticed out of the corner of his eye a small bobbing set of hairs moving slowly through the crowd. Quickly standing on the tips of his toes, he made sure to catch the adventurer's ear's once more before casting his hand in the short foxtail's direction with his finger extended. "SHOWTIME!" The druid announced, his hand sparkling slightly, however the real show was about to begin. Up a head in the crowd a bright glowing spotlight appeared from above, beaming its light down on the foxtail, shining on him alone. The light wasn't as effective as it would have been if it had been used at night, but still it was clear there was a beam. It wasn't his best move, but it was useful, originally he had chosen a different subclass, the courtesan class but found it wrong to use it as it affected the way landers reacted to you and due to his growing friendship with Tadashi, he felt guiltier everytime he interacted with him, unsure if their friendship was down to similar interests or a subtrait. So instead the druid had chosen Idol, it was great to have as not only was it useful in battle as a distraction, but it could be used to help his tailoring crafts, plus it made a good light in that dark train station. Smirking the druid turned to his friend to inform him, only to see the tall man frowning. "Did you have to do that?" Zyrune shrugged. "In for a penny, in for a pound I figured." In all honesty the druid was only trying to find the other adventurer for the sake of easing Tadashi's sweet conscience, if had been up to the druid he would have left Jacoben alone, which is presumably what the young man wanted in the first place. The lander shook his head and gave a short sigh and a chuckle before gesturing that the two should start making their way towards the foxtail. It didn't take long before the two had managed to make their way through the crowd to find a rather petrified looking foxtail, however it was not the adventurer they had hoped to find. Tadashi let out a hearty chuckle as he nudged the druid to continue moving with the suggestion that perhaps he had gone to the river, it seemed the most reasonable answer and the best place to look, besides time alone away from the crowd was something Zyrune was beginning to crave. Letting out a short sigh that was beginning to become a sort of habit for the half-alv, the two eventually managed to make their way through the crowd towards the river bank. Tadashi was the first to see the young fox and another not so familiar face a short distance away from where the two currently stood. The lander gave the druid a stern look as if telling him to behave as they approached the two. "I'm sorry I took so long, there was a crowd." Tadashi smiled at the young fox tail kneeling towards him offering the drink. "Your very cute when you aren't covered in sticky goo." The lander gave an soft laugh, however the effects of the laugh did not sooth the druid, his heart beat against his chest. Perhaps the man did find the foxtail attractive, maybe it wasn't all in his head. Both Tadashi and Zyrune nodded towards the second individual. "I don't believe we have met your friend, care to introduce us?" Tadashi asked of the young foxtail, Zyrune stayed silent, however he couldn't help but feel jealous of how cute the foxtail actually did appear. Noir sat down to the left of hawk and grinned as he cracked open his bear and took a big bite out of his steak. The meal was especially exquisite. The steak was cooked just right, it had a brilliant texture and a magnificent color. The smell, let me tell you. The smell was something that reminded him only of home. Of family gatherings with barbecue and special events at that occurred on special holidays in the city. The juices flowed like a jungle river and the way the taste hit the taste buds was enough to make you want to do flips for days on end. He was so excited that he scarfed the steak down in a matter of seconds. And yet somehow Noir was sad. Was it because he was unable to enjoy food such as this with family. Yet it also had something to do with being unsure of when he will get to return home. Once he realized it was gone tears slightly began to roll down his face as he turned to hawk and Valerie. “This was the best steak I have ever had and now it is gone….What will I do…? At this point he was so upset he forgot he even had a beer. He hadn’t even tasted it yet and that was next on his to do list. He then raised the beer to his lips and lifted it up as he tilted his head back. The liquid flowed into his mouth like a river flowing into the sea. The flavors, were just as top notch as the steak and satisfied his thirst greatly. Hawk had then asked him if he was up to joining him in the carnival. Noir stood up and with a broad smile on his face he said “I am so down to go enjoy the carnival. I’ve had beer, and food. Plus I’d get to hang around this pretty lady a little bit more. “Alright, let us get this party started. ▲ 167 + 335 = 502 WORDS ● TAGGED Valerie Kirkwall ● NOTES

Hawk was excited with his new founds friends whee the girl named val asked if there would be beer and food he began to laugh, " Of course there will be food and beer would not be a festival without it haha". So val, Noir, and Hawk traveled to the carnival (site B) and when they got there it looked like they had just missed the a circus act due to the large disperse of the crowd. Hawk snapped his fingers " Looks like we just missed the act..."he was slightly dissapointed, but his eyes lit up though as he saw all the carnival games though. The place was pack with all sorts of family's, men, women, just every where and you could hear the ding of the bell from the test of strength booth. Hawk did not even second think his decision as he grabbed both of his friends and dragged them over there. " This the game where the men are separated from the boys haha.." he then pointed to Noir " me and you friend, will you accept my challenge..." Hawk did not even wait for his answer as he instantly started walking over there. Looking over the prizes looking for the biggest stuffed animal there was. He noticed that the largest one was a stuffed bear. He asked the vendor how to get " You need to hit the bell 5 times in a row to win that one sir even though that would be easy for such a strong man like you hoho" the laugh made Hawk smile a little. He then paid the man for five tries and grabbed the hammer, he turned to his friends and gave them a slick smile and a thumbs up. He then turned and lifted the hammer it was alot heavier than he thought it was but it was no issue. He swung and hit the board clean and rung, he repeated 3 more times, before he began to sweat and breath hard maybe drinking all that beer and eating that steak was a little much. Hawk shrugged it off though and mustered some strength to hold down his food and drink as swung again. He heard the satisfying ding once again and the vendor announced " WE GOT A WINNER" he then and went and grabbed the large and handed it to Hawk. He walked back over to his friends set the bear down, and told Noir " Now its your turn friend i need another beer haha"! word count; 415+50%= 622.5 Noir Valerie

Noir was excited, he had finally made a few friends. As he was new to the game he hadn’t really met anyone he could hang around with or talk to but finally he had met some people he can enjoy talking to. And with that he and his new friends Hawk and Valerie set off towards the carnival district. They spent several minutes wading through crowds and trying not to bump into folk causing any trouble. The area was quite full due to the festival. As they arrived at the carnival site it had appeared that what was a circus had finished its final act and the crowd was dispersed. Noir looked over and he could see the slight disappointment on Hawk’s face. But as a man who seems to have had way too much alcohol, he bounced back quickly. Noir got rather excited when he noticed all the carnival games. There seemed to be a game of all flavors and he was aching to find one that fit his strong suit. Moments later he was jerked out of thought and pulled over to a game that really wasn’t his strong suit. He watched as hawk approached the man and spoke to him about the massive teddy bear he had sitting out as a prize. Five times seemed like quite a bit but someone like hawk who is full of Adonis like manhood should have no problem taking on the challenge. Noir watched as he picked up the hammer and swung it down crashing into the plate on the board. The ball rose up and struck the bell with a loud ding. He continued to watch as Hawk struck the plate over and over. Each time the ball rose up and struck the bell allowing for a loud ding and a slight continual ring. He eventually won the prize and walked over with a big smile on his gleeful mug. Setting the bear down he then challenged Noir to the game. “Me, ring the bell you say? I’m not exactly the strongest person but I will give it a shot!” Noir walked over and grabbed the hammer. He lifted up and swung down. The head of the hammer slammed into the plate and the ball rose up striking the bell. “I did it!” he said, normally Noir wouldn’t do things like this or talk like this but he was probably a little tipsy from the booze. Noir grabbed a small stuffed toy and walked back over to Valerie and Hawk. Noir looked across the way and noticed another carnival game. A smile grew across his lips as he looked over to Hawk. “You challenged me to a game, I’ll challenge you to a game.” He pointed over to the booth that consisted of moving targets and a rifle. “Shall we take the sharpshooter challenge?” Noir then placed his arm around hawk’s shoulder and pulled him towards the booth. Noir then approached the counter and said “Sir, what do I have to do to win the large rabbit?” Noir said to the man running the booth. “Hello sir, all you have to do his hit all the targets and you win the prize.” The man replied. Noir smirked and picked up the small pellet gun that was sitting on the counter. The man rung a bell and the targets started moving back and forth. Quickly Noir fired shot after shot reloaded with a lever on the bottom that gets pulled and places a pellet in the barrel after it’s pushed back in. In a matter of seconds all of the targets had been struck. Noir placed the rifle on the table and smiled as the prize was handed to him. He approached hawk and said “Your Turn.” and with that he waited. ▲ 631 + 315 = 946 WORDS ● TAGGED kirkwall valerie ● NOTES

He was completely bored. Sure, he liked the carnival games around him, but since it was so many to choose, he had a hard time on picking one. Because of it, he was completely bored at looking around the carnival rather than playing with it's games. However, he stopped walking when he saw some Adventurers are playing High Striker or strength tester as would other people called it. He wasn't exactly fond of that game, which although he can carry his huge scythe in battle for unknown reason, he was still the weakest when it came to physical comparisons. And after what happened with Dried Coconia Strips, he can't make another fuzz today. But just as he was about to leave, the man quickly called out to him. "Hey kid! Do you want to try your strength? Ring the bell and you'll get a prize!" Another reason why he needed to leave immediately, some booth owners always tried to egg on people to try it. "Sorry, I can't. I'm not that strong." But the vendor still insisted to try it, unknown of his strength since he was still a kid. "No, I couldn't!" The vendor didn't give up however as he grabbed his hand and dragged him in front of the High Striker. This was the last straw for him as he decided to leave by using stealth before he said to the vendor, "Look! Is that a Monk who wanted to try it out? He said he can ring the bell ten times!" As expected, the man turned around to where he pointed to the other direction, which gave him time to activate his skills. "Hiding Entry!" With his skill declared in his mind, his body became invisible as if he disappeared in thin air, which gave him the chance to flee from the vendor. As he fled from the vendor, he heard from afar about him disappeared, which gave him a sense of relief. Once he was far away from him, he dispelled his skill so he can continued wander around the carnival, only for him to saw a sharpshooting range in action as he saw a Warden, which was one of the new classes for Elder Tale exclusively for this server, a Swashbuckler, and a Samurai plaing it. Curious, he decided to blend into the crowd as he took a closer look of it. Do you believe in ghosts? “That one!” The little voice at Saber’s side shouted out over the noise of the crowd as she stuck her right hand at the stall directly off to their side. Saber looked down at the energetic little bugger and then followed her hand to see what she was pointing at, and to his dismay; it was another food stall. That was probably number thirty three today as his pint-sized companion seemed to be gobbling down everything she could get her hands on. She was a bottomless pit. First, they started in Londinum and after some walking around and getting bored, they were now in Avon; the city of theatre and art. It reminded the Assassin of the Renaissance Era in his own real world, but this one seemed a little bit more… Fantasy like, which was probably a good thing as he was in a game. Then again, it was refreshing to be in Avon. It was probably the closest thing to the real world, if anything. It made him feel a little bit more at home than other places. Though, the lore and folktales he heard around the town popped that little bubble very quickly. One day, Saber would find some way to escape… One day…
“I highly doubt you’ll like that.” Saber responded as he noticed the type of food the stall was selling, but the little one was determined to get what she wanted. She squeezed the Assassin’s fingers and tugged on his arm, making him look down at her. He grumbled and did so. Her cheeks puffed out and her eyes were hard; she was pouting, the devilish face which was completely unfair and uncalled for. Not only that but the face was that of a mind which could not be changed, and Saber’s wallet was going to pay for it. It made him sigh and he unwillingly nodded in acceptance with his fate to feed the money vampire at his waist. One more feast for the little black ghost-girl, and one more collection of gold to put on her tab. Well, at least Blumpy was satisfied with the small snack occasionally tossed his way every now and then. Though, he seemed content with anything he received in the first place.
That floating orb of orange joy didn’t seem to be bothered by anything today, and that was a good thing. It was also quite normal, but the floating pumpkin seemed to be humming a lot more consistently and danced more in the air than normal. Rather than just float by Saber’s shoulder, the little pumpkin twirled around the air and danced around the decorations which had been put up. He was shouted at a few times by wary stall owners. Though, Blumpy was too far gone in his own world to be bothered. The little glowing jack-o-lantern was off in his own mind, floating around and enjoying the festival just like everyone else was. There was nothing wrong with that, though. Blumpy wasn’t causing any trouble and he wasn’t making anything break. Now, if he was actually causing damage to things then that would be another story. At least the Landers were throwing stuff at him. Man, he felt like some kind of chaperon for a bunch of children.
“Fine!” Saber barked and rumbled, opening up his menu. The Assassin summoned forth his menu and tapped across it a few times before he finally withdrew a small amount of coins, the sack dropping into the palm of his hand. He waved his menu screen off and approached the Lander’s food stall, plopping the sack down in front of the man as he hand made the food right on the spot. Upon seeing and hearing the coin drop on his small, wooden counter, the Lander peeked up from his grill and smiled at Saber.
“Welcome, sir! I see from your payment that you are already have decided to taste some of my delicious food?” The Chef was a cheeky fellow and grinned from ear to ear. Saber’s nose wiggled beneath his scarf and looked down towards the little one at his waist. The Lander leaned over his counter so that he could look down at her as well, but the shy youngster simply stepped behind Saber’s leg, squeezing his hand out of fear.
“Would you like some Coconia Strips? Is that what you’d like?” As Saber asked, the little one seemed to just become even shier. It made Saber smile and he knelt down to her. He wiggled her hand and rumbled at her. Eventually she looked at him, her eyes soft and switching between his eyes and the ground. The little game of cat and mouse she was playing was not new, as she knew she was costing Saber more and more money. He didn’t exactly care, really, but he simply wanted her to speak up for herself.
“Yes? No?” After the little coaxing, Saber got his answer in the form of a few small nods. Up and down, was the motion, and yes was his answer. With that, Saber stood back up and nodded to the Lander. The Lander Chef smirked and started to prep the little snacks, pulling out a knife and Coconia fruits from the basket at his feet.
“I’ll have one as well, sir.” Saber said and pulled his hand away from the little one’s hand. She whimpered for a moment, but his hand returned in the form of a pat. He rubbed the little Ripper Jack’s head softly with his hand, gently showing her some affection as a reward for her speaking up for herself. At all of the other stalls, Saber had been the one to order and she had hidden from the merchants behind him. If she was going to interact with the world and enjoy it, she would have to learn how to speak for herself. Of course, he would have to teach her all of that but it would come with time. One conversation at a time.
“Alrighty! Two Dried Coconia Strips, coming right up!” The Lander said happily as he took the payment for the food. Blumpy floated down to Saber’s shoulder and made himself comfortable on the Assassin’s shoulder, twisting and nestling in. The man looked over at the pumpkin and it seemed to be a little tired, so Saber didn’t say anything. He simply pat his friendly jack-o-lantern on the top of its head and let it rest. His eyes then turned forward, watching as the Lander prepped their food. It was a cool little process, and Saber took a mental note of it. Maybe one day he would be a chef and cook these kinds of foods.
