Well, with the completion of the Monthly Contest, it is now time to say that I'm stepping back from mod work. Not gonna lie, I'm sorely disappointed with the lack of participation for the event, despite having so many votes on the "poll" that I had made to gauge interest, specifically for the #1 of the poll questions. On top of that, the disrespect that I have received in the cbox and on the site in general over the course of time that I officially picked up the title of moderator has become too much of a pain to bear.
For those of you who do not know, the account of Data Holder is a collaboration of every moderator, however for a long period of time I had been using it as a method to do Claims and various other tasks that were needed to have been done, starting sometime in April of 2014. I picked it up because I saw how slow things were on the site, and wanted to help out. Keep in mind, none of the moderators are getting paid to do this. This is all done out of enjoyment for RPing, so one could call this more a hobby than a job. So, if a majority of the members show little to no interest in things that moderators put up, the moderators also get discouraged. Trust me, if I was getting paid for this, I would not complain about anything.
This doesn't mean that I'm staying away from the site, as I'm just stepping away from doing mod work. I probably should have announced this a while ago, but with the contest going on, it wouldn't do to have the one running it leave in the middle. That being said, I'll be on my moderator account to speak with the winners of the contest, and help them obtain the prizes that they have earned. After that, I'll be just a regular member for some time. I've done too much stuff on this site to deserve the disrespect and blatant disregard that I've been given. So, with that, I'll be seeing you all around.
