Good evening Everyone,
As many of you may know, I have not been very active lately and that's okay. For some of you, you don't have to deal with me and that's fine, as I don't have to deal with you.
However I return with a little sign of recruitment, of sorts. As of a few days ago, I have finally achieved my goal of starting my own website and I am very quickly fixing up the framework and prepping it for full launch. It's been sonething I have been focused on for a little over a year now and after so much planning, failing, and keyboard-grinding, I can see the finish line.
With that finish line in sight, I have been fondling a few ideas for stories to start off my site with and many of them pertain to universes we are all too familiar with. And that's why I'm here. One of my ideas for a story is one set in a Video Game esque world, or just a game-like fantasy land. With that being said, I need some characters, mainly supporting characters and NPCs.
Thus I am here typing this up before snooze time. I am quite fond of cameos myself and I always find it nice when I see someone reference my own work or something I've done, so I am going to extend the offer to you all. If you want to see your character(s) pop up in one of my stories, feel free to post up in this thread who you want me to send into the grinder.
When you post, be sure to link your profile and you can even give me a small snippet of how you may want to see them appear. However please know that if I change your character a bit, write them differently than you, or use them in a different way than you wanted, don't hate the player. I can only do so much and I don't like to bend the plot or story rules to meet the needs of readers. That is something I have learned the hard way. If your character doesn't fit in a scenerio, believe me, I won't force them in. I'm more likely to hold off using the character until the time is truly right.
If I do use your character, you will be given credit as the creator/owner in the character's Bio page, as I plan to dedicate a page to all characters nk matter their roles. Sort of like a Wiki. I will also notify you that your character has appeared either by PM, Skype, or E-mail depending on your choice of contact. Though, Skype will be the last option.
So if you're interested, post below and let me know. If you're shy, my inbox is always open.
Thanks and I look forward to some if y'all showing your interest. o7
P.S: I won't be sharing the website link for a while as the site isn't finished and I have one other reason, but it's mainly because of the former. So don't ask. The answer is "Not yet."
Since there have been some concerns, I'll answer them as this thread goes along. I'll post the Questions in an original post and will update the F.A.Q below as well.
Q: Will you be keeping us in the loop with our characters?
A: Yes. If I decide to use your character and they fit into a particular chapter or role, I will notify you and let you know that they will be showing up in the next post I put up. I may or may not go into detail, however, depending on how minor or major the role is. If it's just going to be a cameo and I'm just going to mention your character doing something, then I'll probably just say that they'll be showing up. If your character is going to be say a leader of a Guild or an Organization and the main character will be interacting with them, I will most likely go into detail and even ask you questions about how your character may react to things.
Q: How will our ownership be supplied to others?
A: I'll be creating Character Pages for major and minor characters both and will provide information on all of them of who the owners are.
--Minor characters will probably just be compiled into a list. In that list, the Character's name will be labeled out, and a link to the original owner will be provided. That link will take a person straight to the forum and the forum profile. Sort of like when you Tag someone in a post. I will also provide a link to the original character profile on the original forum. But beware; if that link changes, you will have to tell me. Once I put up the original link, that's it. Once the website grows, I highly doubt I'll be able to keep track of all the Minor characters.
--Major Characters, on the other hand, will most likely get their own page. I will be making full bio pages for my own characters that I will be creating and all of these characters will get individual pages. If your character fills a major role and is a constantly reoccurring being in the story line, they will get the glory of their own page. Why? Because that's how it works and it's more fair. If your character is suited for a Major role, you will be contacted and I will go into more detail of what I will need from you and to go over what you expect from me as well.

{"UPDATE (March 5th, 2016)"}
After communicating with the Staff, and after doing some of my continued tinkerings, I believe I am about 75% content with my website. Thus, I'm going to open its doors to the public (by that I mean I'm actually going to share the link with people). No, it's not finished at this point and there's a lot of content missing that I'm still working on. However for those of you that may actually be interested in the thing, there's no sense in me quivering in the dark any longer and biting at my nails like I have been. My dream has come to bloom and to be honest, I love it. As I said, it's not done, but I love it anyways. I've put more work into this thing than I've put energy into anything else. This is the one thing that I can fully say that I've put everything I had and more into, and I've probably annoyed quite a few people too. Nothing is ever done, anyways. When something is fully complete, that means it is perfect. As we all know; not a damn thing in this world is perfect.
Without further adieu, here is the link: The Bladed Pen.
Take a gander and feel free to check out the beginning of my first web novel; Etheral! At this moment in time, I only have the Prologue up on the website but the next few Chapters are already being worked on and I'm nearly finished with the first! I don't have any subscription system set up to notify people of when I post, but I'm going to be setting up a Twitter account, an E-mail database, and even a Blog to keep people updated on the happenings of the site. So stay tuned on that stuff. If you're interested in being put into some kind of subscription system, send me a message with your preferred e-mail and once I have the system set up I'll just add you to it. In the meantime, I'll keep you updated with simple PMs and stuff. I might even just send out the e-mails by hand, as it's probably easier that way. And if you don't like e-mails, then feel free to tell me any other way you want me to keep you updated. I'm exploring as many ways as possible to keep Readers tuned in so if you have suggestions, let me know!
There is also one other feature that I will be adding to the Site very soon (probably in the next few days); a F.A.Q page. Most websites don't have those and to be honest, I find it quite annoying as then I actually -have- to contact someone if I have a question. The F.A.Q Page will have information on the release dates of the stories, the site's mission statement, some questions on the stories themselves, and even some other random questions that I can come up with. Any questions that get asked to me will most likely be added to the list as well depending on the question itself so if you think you have something that others may ask; sharing is caring.
And if you take a look at the website and see something that may be off, if you break something, or if you just have a random question, I have many ways for you to get in contact with me. On the site itself I have a 'Contact' page you can send an email too via the site, you can PM me on this board, or you can even post in the thread. I'll be turning my notifications back on here on the site so I can track any Messages I get here from y'all. So there's quite a few ways for you to ask me things. The one problem is fear. Don't ever be afraid to talk to ol' Saber. Saber may be a jerk sometimes, but Saber is always here to help those who need it. Just don't be a jerk to me or you get ignored and you get the bad vibes when I'm around. And I won't care. k? k.
