The Londinium Beautification Committee in partnership with some of the major crafting guilds has decided to launch a new initiative aimed and improving the look and atmosphere of the city. It has been the aim of the committee to improve the quality of life throughout the city, and today we are proud to announce a new initiative aimed at taking back our city. We have labeled it simply as Spring Cleaning. Something all of us have done during our lives, and this should be no different.
We are to take the the streets, the houses, the buildings and our city’s most beloved iconic vistas. This is a call out to all those who wish to see a better Londinium. Our crafting guilds have provided us with a set of uniforms for those who wish to participate. These uniforms are entirely optional, but are intended to help people get into the spirit. One of our partner guilds has a large stock of Butler and Maid uniforms left over after an attempt to create a craze failed and they have graciously donated these toxic assets.
The following areas have been designated as most need of repairs and cleanup.
London- Much of the city is in poor shape, from rubbish in the streets to buildings nearly falling apart. There are ample opportunities here.
Old Parliament- We have long kept parts of this building sealed due to unsafe conditions. We are now opening up the guild hall areas to be cleaned and remodeled.
St. Pancras Station- While it has served as a crafting and merchant hub, it has not done so beautifully. Paint is peeling off walls, other walls are caving in. The underground sections are still as of yet blocked off and unexplored. We are looking for a full cleanup and renovation to help expand the economy and fully explore the city.
Support Staff- Artisans, Housekeepers and Woodcrafters are expected to be in high demand through the event. However we also need to keep our volunteers fed. Any volunteers of the Brewer and Chef professions would also be appreciated.
As part of the initiative, guild halls and buildings will be available for purchase at the completion of the event. Our accountants are still working out some of the final details, however we do have a preview available to view HERE
Guilds that participate in this event will receive a discount on the purchase of their first home. This discount is provided as a subsidy bonus by the crafting guilds for those who demonstrate their dedication to the city. As required by the crafting guilds there are some conditions. Guilds who participate in at least 3 cleanups(threads) with a minimum of 2 participating members in each will be granted a 15% discount on their purchase of a guild hall. Guilds who participate in at least 5 cleanups(threads) with a minimum of 3 participating guild members in each will be granted a 25% discount on their purchase of a guild hall. As an added condition by the guilds, at least one member of the guild must be in “uniform” during the cleanups. They do not care which uniform a participant chooses to use.
UPDATE-
I forgot to detail in the additional rewards. There are prizes and things for it, but not in the normal sense. People will find things like relics, trinkets, antiques and literally junk while cleaning up and improving stuff. These however are not weapons/armor. For every thread somebody participates in for it, they'l get 1 random thing they found by mods. This item will most likely not be related to anything. For every 2 threads somebody participates in for it, they can ask for a custom item they have found, possibly in one of their threads. These items are to be kept to a more aesthetic or decorative nature and may include clothes, jewelery, furniture/decorations or other things someone might find while cleaning up a building/basement or other kind of location. The items are not magical in nature, do not give bonuses and are intended for RP enhancing purposes.
Good examples- an old nice looking bracelet, a tome not in a library, A couch
Bad examples- A 4 star dragon ball, Mithril Pebble of pig smiting, a fully functional steam engine
