“Attention!” Bailin barked, rather uncharacteristically as he entered the classroom where his fellow guild mates had gathered. For some reason his heart was pounding in his chest, he felt slightly sweaty despite the fact he had merely walked through the corridor to reach the improvised class room. As he entered the room he eyed the lay out of the room, seeing it more or less fitting for a classroom, of sorts, with desks placed next to each other and one larger desk in front of them, close to the wall. ‘Good, at least I can sit down a bit.’ He thought, walking towards the larger desk at the front of the room. Placing his left hand on the hilt of his rapier Bailin gently sat down on the desk, one leg on the floor, the other hanging a few inches from it. Inhaling softly he spoke out, loud enough so the last row could also hear him: “Please be seated and welcome to this lecture of things most of you will probably know already, but is useful to mention anyways. I will be your teacher today. As we are a slightly mixed guild I personally prefer to keep some form of order and discipline going on for all of us, as to avoid utter chaos. Also there will be other teachers and it might be a sign of respect if you could all stand up next to your desk and sit down when they tell you that you can sit down. Personally I don’t mind but we’ve got to keep a form of discipline.” he spoke calmly, more friendly and so much more like himself. “Well now, let us get started on the following subjects. First off, let me welcome you again to our lovely guild. That being said, the lecture will entice the basics of adventuring, using skills, not dying and the suspected or known effects of dying, the difference between Landers and Adventurers, yes that’s us.” He continued in his usual calm way of talking. “Let us end the dreadful business of the day, death and the consequences it entices. To put things simple: We can die, but we will resurrect at the Cathedral, there are alas some… downsides do dying, worse than the loss of experience and such. If I’ve heard and understood correctly you will lose parts of yourself, mentally. It starts small but, hypothetical speaking; one could lose its entire being after a certain amount of deaths. Thus it is of the utmost importance you DO NOT DIE. That’s all there is to say on that matter for us Adventurers. Landers on the other hand die like we used to in the real world or the world whence we had come before we ended up here. If you kill a Lander he will die, the end. No second chances, no resurrections nothing, just death.” Bailin said rather solemn, pausing to let things sink in a bit. “Which brings us to the Landers, they are, probably best described, as ordinary humans, as most of you will have noticed by now. Unlike when this was a game, these humans now have families, friends, stories; they can feel love, sorrow, anger, hatred and so on. They are in all regards human as we should describe them and thus treat them as such. They also perform vital tasks we adventurers can do, probably better than they could, however we tend to not be bothered with such trivial tasks. My personal view on this matter is as follows: We, the adventurers, rid this world of the monsters, try to maintain order and other tasks Landers would not rather do. Landers supply is with things like raw materials, ores, wood, but also food. Thus there is a certain… balance in this world, where we do the dangerous tasks Landers can’t do, but are interesting for us to do and the Landers do the tasks we get bored with. It creates a dependency upon each other, mostly an unspoken one, but it is present for those willing to see it.” He continued calmly as he explained his point of view on their place in this world as well as the place the Landers held.
“As most of you already noticed and thus keep in mind: we still need to eat, sleep, drink and rest. So please be certain to keep those things well in balance, eat enough, sleep enough, rest between fights and keep hydrated. That’s all there is to it. If you don’t you’ll die as we can still get sick, weakened by lack of food or liquids or sleep. I haven’t tried anything like that myself and to be honest I’m not planning to either. Also: we can get sick, we can get injured so please be careful. We can handle more than Landers but… we can still die, get maimed and so on.” Was the next stop Bailin lectured as he stood up and walked a bit in front of the class, looking at his mates as he walked and spoke, accentuating his words with his hands. “Next step will be skills, those are actually pretty easy. There are two ways to use skills. Either you take the long way and open you skill menu, select the wanted skill and use it. Or you could just make the move and let the system execute the skill for you. So for example: Sword Rain Flurry,“ Bailin said, drawing his rapier and activating through the skill menu the ‘Sword Rain Flurry skill’, making him attack the air with five quick jabs in succession of each other. “As you can see, this takes a while to activate your skills, however if you move on your own and let the system guide you, so to speak, you can do it like this and keep yourself from taking more damage than needed and be quicker on the offensive.” He continued to fill the cool down time the skill. After the ten seconds he did it again, this time without the menu, jabbing the air again with five consecutive stabs. Taking a short pause to let everything sink in once more he inhaled deeply as he sheathed his rapier and took his seat again on the desk in the front of the classroom. “As we’re in this together, as well as in the same guild, I would like to stress that working together is key to both success and survival. This is also one of the primary rules of adventuring: Alone you can go far, but together you can go beyond. Therefore I would like to do the occasional drills, raids and such as to teach us how to work together, as well as start various research and crafting things, because, let’s face it, we don’t know very much about this world. But that’s something for later. I also think that for now I’ve rambled on enough. It’s your turn to ramble my ears of with your questions. So shoot one at a time and I’ll answer as best as I can.” He said smiling, silently wishing he could just leave as he assumed his ‘students’ would probably ask him crazy and beyond. Perhaps she should have considered her choices more carefully she found herself thinking. The tiny samurai dragged her feet as she made her way towards the grounds of the guild she had joined. Of all of the guilds out there right now this one seemed to be the most active. That was why she joined she told herself but then she realized too late one thing; they were an academy. That meant they had a structure more akin to school and that thought made her cringe. Didn't she just escape all of that by being transported to a mystical land of swords and magic? Why would anyone want to recreate something like that? Lulu kicked the ground and heaved a deep sigh as she took it all in. Of course this was the sort of thing she was already doing on her old server; just not in such a big way.
Of course she shuffled in late- there was no way you would ever catch Lulu arriving on time. Sliding the door open quietly, as quietly as she could rather she attempted to tip toe in to the class. This would be thwarted by her lack of attention to the closest chair however that she ended up kicking with her toes. Pausing for a moment as a wave of pain washed over her, she looked at the man up front giving a lecture with an apologetic expression. 'Nice work.' she said to herself as she chose a nearby seat to finish out the rest of the lecture she didn't miss. What an astounding first impression, she was getting better at this all the time she joked in her head.
Once she started paying attention she noticed the lecture was on the landers having just passed over the subject of death. She was well aware of the fact that landers died a final death that they could not so she had not missed much there. What she did find interesting was that someone else found them to be considered what they were; human. In this world she did not even relate with that sentiment, that they were human. Here they were demi gods who could continue to rise from the ashes of their own mistakes and conquer any challenge. Most of this stuff was fairly basic so she did what she normally did in class; day dream.
Even when he pulled out his rapier to demonstrate his abilities she did not budge. Her mind wandered to the field of boars that she had encountered a day earlier, how much fun that had been. They would see fewer results from treating this like some sort of college seminar she thought. People in this world had a short attention span or at least she did which she just assumed for everyone else. She fit into that group of people that could never really learn by reading or being instructed. She had to be actively doing what was being explained or none of what was said stuck in her head.
"I have a question unrelated to the topics previously discussed," she said aloud, clearing her throat. Of course she was disruptive to what was being taught; she wouldn't be Luiniel otherwise. "..what exactly is a Warden? I remember seeing it on the list but I did not have the time to read it. Off topic, I know, but your class intrigues me." she said with an innocent smile. As a veteran MMO player she hated when there were things that she did not know. Being ignorant of things in a world like this was a weakness that all players should strive to cover, there was no such thing as irrelevant information. Luin had teamed up with one the day before but she still had not learned much from that encounter other than the fact that the guy was full of hot air. WC - 656

The sound of deep breaths could be heard in the classroom as it was filling up with people. Ren had decided to enter the room early, as it might leave a good impression with the rest. He even sat reasonably up front (voluntarily), which wasn't something he'd usually do. Sadly, his good behavior failed him when he fell asleep due to lack of action while the classroom was filling up. He didn't want to disappoint his good friend Bailin, but he couldn't help falling asleep. As soon as he heard his friends voice, he slowly woke up. Opening up one eye, taking a peek at what was going on, he noticed Bailin talk about the death in this world, and even showing off his skill and both ways to activate them.
As Ren opened his other eye, he sat up straight, stretched and leaned back, listening to what his friend was saying only a little. After finishing his story, he asked for any questions from the so called 'class'. He didn't really know of anything to ask, so he listened to other people with questions. When a girl up front asked about the warden class, Ren got a little curious. He didn't know much about it himself, so he was kinda anxious to learn more about them. Again Ren sat up straight, fully listening to Bailin's response and clearly showing it in his body language. "This'll be interesting" Ren thought as he looked at Bailin.

»Valentine paced herself as she tip-toed her way through the guild halls, treating it no different than she would have an ordinary school in the old world. She was never late to class, if anything she would arrive occasionally minutes before even the teacher became present, often matching her face with the term of “teacher’s pet”, although she meant no distaste towards her classmates, nor did she achieve this given title on purpose. She hopped into the classroom practically prancing to her seat, overwhelmed with both excitement and joy. She sat towards the front of the classroom, as her own mind told her that the closer you were to given information, the more of it you would soak in to think about later, which she planned on doing thoroughly after class.
The lesson finally began as the academy professor began his lecture, teaching the students about the results of death. She had never really thought about what happened after death, all she knew was that in games you responded, and that’s all that really mattered. It never occurred to her that newbie of which was is so easily killed didn’t know even in the slightest what consequences could be accompanied by death in this world. She automatically assumed landers died as humans would, it never appeared as a thought to her that they would respawn like adventurers did. However, the talk on death quickly subsided into a new lecture on abilities and skills, which peaked her interest especially.
She knew the three skills she had, all of which included healing her allies, could be used by simply saying its name and motioning it for it to cast. But her eyes practically dazzled as the professor showed off an ability with a rapier, the same weapon as she, and she couldn’t help but silently clap to herself as the demonstration ended. She didn’t really know anybody in the guild all to well, so all of the questions she has had could be directed to the professor here and now, and she took no time to hesitate after another student spoke. “Sir! I would see it as only proper to conceive a question to clarify what knowledge you have allowed us to obtain,” She began, she could feel stares from behind her simply by the way her tongue spoke, but she disregarded it. “As I have chosen the cleric class, would I be able to use any skills such as your demonstration with my own rapier, or do I limit myself with my choice of class?” This question had honestly never occurred to her before watching the demonstration, and now it struck her curious and she stared at the professor, a determined look on her face to intently listen to his response.

" God... damn steps." Myrddin panted, using both his staff and the hand rail to scale the stairs inside the Old Parliament building in Londonium. His enchanter's coat was open revealing a loose fitting forest green shirt with a brown under shirt. His right hand gripped the railing hard for fear he might slip. The enchanter was running behind schedule; the class he was informed about had already started by the time he woke up from an unforeseen nap. His braids were splayed about his head in a haphazard way that many would recognize as either bed head or sex hair. Unfortunately for the young man, he wasn't the latter. Myrddin's muddy water eyes were locked on his feet as he made his way up the flight of stairs, one step at a time. The agonizingly slow page was wearing on his nerves. Over the course of time since he awoke in Elder Tale he regained mobility in his legs. However, he still hadn't gotten very proficient at climbing stairs and his face reflected his embarrassment as flocks of individuals passed him, tossing quizzical glances and pitying expressions his way. On more than one occasion Myrddin had swore at a small group of ladies as they whispered somewhat loudly about his problem. They left quickly to see to the consoling of the one of the ladies whom had burst into tears after the burning enchanter bit into them. His viper like tongue and falter inner monologue sometimes made him the bad guy in situations. Finally, after a perpetual eternity on those blasted stairs Myrddin stood atop the flight and looked down the corridor for hope that a large obnoxious sign would point him in the right direction. His goddess of hope seemed to be out of the office at the moment as he saw no obnoxious sign to lead him in the right direction. With a half-hearted sigh he leaned against the wall, a few meters from a door and the stairs, and made a gesture in the empty air. A large open eye inside a hexagon appeared before his eyes, his main status screen. With a few swipes and taps on the perceptually suspended screen Myddin pulled up his message. His eyes scanned the message for the room number. Once he found it he closed the screens and, with the use of his shoulder blades and right elbow, he pushed himself off of the wall. " Room XXX*. It shouldn't be too hard to find." He said aloud, tapping the toes of his boots against the ground twice before venturing forth in search of the class. It took him a bit longer than he hoped as he opened the door to the wrong room; having misspoken the number at one point during his mantra of the room number so he wouldn't forget. He repeated the wrong number a couple times till he found the door that matched his wrong number and opened it. Inside the class room were two men in a tight embrace that sudden threw each other apart at entrance of the unexpected surprise. The tree of them stood staring back and forth for a moment before Myrddin winked and shut the door back. While the two men weren't his type he could understand the want for love, even if it was a secret. Soon after he cock blocked the wrong room he stumbled upon the correct on and entered as a young woman finished a question about something about class limitations. He didn't know what the question was so he remained silent and took survey of the class room. " Numerous empty seats." He muttered to himself as he made his way toward an empty seat in the back row closest to the opposite wall he was currently at. Once in his seat he propped his staff against the wall and leaned back in his chair, folding his arms across his chest. _________________________ Word count: 653 Tags: Vylbrand Academy Notes: This felt like way more than 653 words. Strife was sitting behind his desk, absentmindedly rolling a pebble back and forth across its surface. He hadn't ever liked classes back in the old world, and he wasn't too fond of them here, either. But he had to show camaraderie and unity with his guild, so he had decided to attend this lecture Bailin was giving. Strife knew the professor was a warden like himself, which meant he might be able to pick up some good tips on the finer points of the class. But so far the lecture had been dry, dull, without flair or excitement, and everything it covered were things Strife already knew. He stopped rolling the pebble and leaned back in his chair, going back over what he already knew.
Landers died for good, like the adventurers did back in the old world, and they were as human as adventurers, having their own thoughts and feelings. Strife didn't really think it was fair that adventurers had a large advantage over the Landers. They were all human beings, after all. As for Skills, Strife had picked up how to fight in this world on day 1. Of course, that had been after quite the hilarious mishap. But still, it was good to refresh over the two different ways to execute skills during combat. Manually selecting the skill was probably only efficient for long range combatants. Strife himself used the automatic system, but he wasn't particularly interested in combat to begin with. While knowing how to fight, especially as a warden, was a useful skill, Strife preferred crafting and research.
Strife listened intently as the other students asked their questions, one inquiring about Wardens, and the other about skills and classes. He knew the answers to those questions, of course, but he was a student and not a professor, so he'd let Bailin field them. He himself had his own questions, ones that he had put some thought into earlier. But first, he gazed around the room to see the others attending, and who should he spot but Mechsoul, one of his squad members. He hadn't really gotten to know the guy, but it was good to have a squad member attending the same lecture. He picked up the pebble off of his desk and flicked at Mechsoul's back, just enough to get his attention, and gave a little wave and a nod. With that done, it was time to ask the professor his question.
Strife raised his hand as high as it could go, and spoke in a clear voice. "Say, apart from the three divisions of Protectorates, Magistrars and Artisans, and our squads, are they any groups or clubs for special activities? I'd be interested in creating or joining one. Also, is it possible to apply for funding from the guild to do a joint research project? There is some stuff I want to investigate that I think might be useful to the Magistrar division." Strife found the possibilities of the crafting system absolutely fascinating, which was why he had signed up for the Magistrar division. He wasn't too confident about funding, but it was worth a shot.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ Saskia had arrived early before any of them had arrived having been leaning against a wall in the very back of the room for quite sometime. She was attempting to blend in with the furniture for the time being and observe the cadets as they entered one by one. Right now the room was empty and quiet and the only one’s present was herself and Professor Bailin. She would be minding her own business and reading from a tome she borrowed from one of the old libraries in the Parliament building that told about Londiminum history, the book was precisely about the matter of the Stratford Wardens in particular. It was a subject that peaked her curiosity as she indulged herself in literature. Across from her it seemed Bailin was practicing his speech, and Saskia would occasionally look up from her book to give him a slight nod of approval accompanied with a warm smile. She admired how he sounded so sophisticated and refined. There was seldom a gentleman like him, and she was enjoying being in his company. Together, the two founded this idea to start an organization dedicated to learning more about this world and honing our abilities and mastering a profession of our choice. However, she didn’t want romance to disrupt the course of education, so she kept her butterflies in her chest, saving them for a moment when she could release them out and unto the pier by the Thames Coastline were she and Bailin would spend their enchantingly whimsical nights gazing up at the stars and having deep and mentally stimulating conversation.
She heard the door latch turn suddenly as she glanced at the clock in her in-game menu. It was far too early for anyone to be present. She tilted her head as she watched the door slowly prop open to unveil a bright and bubbly blonde haired human vixen. The way she looked and walked was an uncanny resemblance to someone Saskia thought she may have known in the real world. Though that person was a member of high class society like herself, and could be easily someone else masquerading as her for their character design. Still, the level of detail was almost impeccable. Saskia’s eyes kept quivering at her from above her book. She seemed very excited and energetic, bursting with a hyper level of enthusiasm. She even sat in the front of the classroom and held her radiant aura as she smiled brightly, waiting patiently for the class to start. Saskia prejudged that she’d probably the classest most academically prodigical student, based on her ethics and nature as she awaited the course to begin.
Saskia went back to burying her nose in her book, when a few moments later, the golden door handle jiggled again, and and ash haired wolf hair whom caught her attention among the cadets that filled the room. She watched as he sat a little bit ahead of the middle, but not quite so far ahead that he’d be pinned a geek by his peers, like the blonde haired girl probably would. She noticed he had put his head back upon the desk. He must have been exhausted from his journey. While Saskia did not appreciate sleeping during class, she was fine with it as long as people didn’t nod off during the session.
The door opened once more as a small flood of cadets came through the door, one of them stood out as the glamorous strife as he boldly entered in a seemingly extravagent manner. She could have swore he was going to instantly boast about how magnificent he was, but he didn’t and walked back to sit a bit behind the ash haired male. Apparently, they must have gotten to know each other pretty well or either Strife was being a troll. Saskia squinted a bit, contemplating whether to scold him about it as she glare over her book to wave at the ash haired male. She waved it off as boys just being boys as she returned her eyes to her book.
Most of the class was settled in and Bailin began to give his lesson, Saskia smiled gently as she listened to the high level of intellect that was exuded from her companion. However, while she was busy daydreaming about the romantic night they had at the Snowdonia winter ball where Bailin had swept her off her feet, she noticed a late comer coming through the door.
Surprisingly, it was Luniel, the girl she had met along with her sorceror companion. It seemed whereas Saskia was able to show her somethings, punctuality had not been among them. Saskia wasn’t much of a stickler for being on time, but she contemplated needing to be so the cadets don’t miss out on possibly valuable information. However, she knew Luiniel was a very ambitious player who wanted to rise through the levels, she seemed to excel and take interest on the hands on aspect of combat, so possibly she’d be more enthusiastic when those things came about.
Saskia raised a curious pink brow as towards the middle of Bailin’s lecture a familiar face had emerged from the classroom door. It was her partner in crime busting for a hot pursuit in londiminium after she and several others hunted down a notorious purse thief. She recalled he possessed several abilities as an enchanter that proved to be quite a valueable asset to her while they went after the wild bandit. The black ebony haired half-alv sat in the back right corner of the room near herself. He rested his staff on the wall and seemed like he wanted to isolate himself from the rest of the cadets.
Saskia felt a soft glow when she saw the curious cadets and all their inquisitive natures as they bombarded Bailin with questions, with the exception of Mr. Sleepy and Sergeant reclusive.
From the list of above questions, the one that caught her attention the most was Strife’s. She closed her tome as she walked over to the front of the room, cradling her book as she spoke.
“First of I’d like to say good morning to you all. I’m glad to see you all could make it. As some of you may know, we are allied with the House of Crowns Guild which has offered to be our sponsor our Academy. Now, to be blunt, Mister Strife, yes. I would very much like to see us develop all type of extracurricular activities, electives, clubs, and events. I was actually talking to my sparring partner, Pen, about sparring clubs, and hosting tournaments, rather as individuals or between squads. Definitely want to brighten things up a bit and make the environment fun and exciting with a dash of challenge to really spice things up!“ Saskia smirked as she spoke energetically, her sapphire eyes and luscious pink cotton candy hair giving her a charismatic flair.
“However, we are looking for a larger territory to be able to house certain things. Saber, the guild leader of the House of Crowns, had been so kind as to offer us this classroom in the Old Parliament building as a base of operations, but we still have to find a better place to call home. Which means expanding our horizon and venturing out into uncharted territories. If any of you had any ideas or suggestions for things that you’d like to see, you can present them after Professor Bailin answers the questions you all had..” She stated as her final closing statement, leaving Professor Bailin room to take the floor as she leaned on the desk with her hands over the edges, sitting in a rather casual manner for a 'Headmistress'. She preferred to be casual and seen as easily approachable by the students as she wore her Casual Attire.

As Bailin gave his lecture his ‘students came dripping in, bar two shining examples of punctuality, however, one being the guild master and his girlfriend, thus that one shouldn’t count, more or less. They had been together in the classroom for a bit, her reading and him practising his lesson. Normally he’d just have improvised, however, as first lessons go, one should make sure one is prepared to face the horde of unruly pupils.
As his lecture progressed the pupils, whom were actually guild mates, bombarded him with questions. Luckily enough they didn’t do so all at the same time, which would have created a lot of chaos during the lecture. With each question he nodded and made a mental note of it, saving it for when he was done and thus didn’t have to throw off and side track his lecture because, well the subjects of the lecture were more or less common knowledge for those whom were out adventuring or just listened to the rumours in the streets. After the first few questions came a question that was more guild related, however before he could answer Saskia already had replied, making her presence known. She started off with thanking everyone for coming to class, mentioning that they were allied with another guild, which was also their sponsor.
Bailin figured it’d be easier to let her do all the talking on those matters, so he rested his noble bottom on the desk and waited for the boss to finish. As she continued her story about the little in guild clubs Bailin looked around the classroom at his guild mates. They were a nice enough bunch of adventurers, diverse in class, character as well as level. Next came the notice that they were, as a guild, looking for a larger place to call their own, but until they had they could use this classroom. After that she gave him the floor again and sat down.
“Thank you Saskia, also known as our Guild leader, boss or headmistress, to keep things official.” Bailin said with a wink. “Well now, let us continue on your questions: Strife, I think you have your answer regarding the clubs. I would hereby also like to mention my own idea for a club, the KGE or Kings German Engineers. I will spare you the long history lesson, but the king of England used to also be the king of one of the many German kingdoms. Then Napoleon happened and the army of the king’s German kingdom had to relocate to England, from which they continued their fight, along with the British, against Napoleon. Now I don’t expect an invasion of the mainland or an invasion from the French, however, the KGE is, in my opinion a nice name, based on a good history. The Engineers part is as the name suggests: both civil and military engineering. A bridge breaks down, we go and fix it. A house needs to be built, repaired or removed, we’re on it. However, we will also conduct research on various subjects to make both our lives as well as the lives of landers more pleasant. Joining up however is voluntary, however I do expect a certain degree of… professionalism, order and discipline; it will not be a walk in the park to be ended with cake. However it will be a challenge, an adventure and we might be able to see some more of this world. That’s it for my part of the clubs.” he spoke with a sparkle in his eye.
“Regarding the funding, come and see me when you need it, however, for now it has to be a little loan, running a guild tends to cost money and for now we are able to slowly increase the budget bit by bit. So do not be frightened, come see me for the money you think you need and we’ll figure something out.” He said with a smile, “Ah, lest I forget: if we happen to have a scribe around here, come see me after class I will require your assistance and I reckon it will be something that will… interest you.”
Taking a deep breath he recollected the next question or more precisely the previous one. ‘Ah yes, Valentines question, what was it again… about the division of certain skills for each class that was it.’ Taking in another deep breath he slowly started to phrase an answer: “As this is still a game, something we are somewhat quick to forget, I know I do, you are limited to both your class skills and the general skills. What I’ve demonstrated was a general skill called [Sword Rain Flurry]. Thus you all can learn that one. However, there are some skills that are class specific. As a Warden I have the [Trained Eye] skill, which is Warden only. On the other hand, I can’t heal someone as well as a cleric can. So to answer your question Valentine, you can learn general skills but otherwise are limited to skills of your own class.”
‘That’s two down, just one more to go.’ Bailin thought as he scratched his beard, as to stimulate his thinking capabilities. ‘Alright next up was Luiniel, that samurai girl. What was it again, oh right, what is a Warden…’
Formulating the next answer Bailin stood up from the desk so he could stretch his legs a bit, generating a flow of blood which should also keep him awake and make him think faster on his feet. “Well, I think you could think of Wardens as the coppers, Military Police, Riot Police and things like that. It is indeed off topic, but interesting none the less. Wardens are a new Class, just like heretics. I do not know a lot about heretics bar that most are trouble because of their miasma poisoning. But I digress on the side track. Wardens are a rather versatile bunch, Strife is also a Warden, however he focuses more on the defensive side of the Wardens, or the Riot Police. I on the other and focus on the marksman path, so MP or police marksman. Wardens, think of them as Lander coppers, were intended to uphold the laws and keep Landers from harm. However, now that we’ve arrived in this world, you could say that the Warden class became available to us as well. However, as Wardens there is a certain degree of law abiding to be upheld, though this is personal. Currently there is known to be one large organisation of Wardens, the Stratford Wardens, and trust me, you do not want to mess with them. Think of them as Special Forces with the discipline of the Germans, the craziness of the Spetsnaz and resources of the Americans. Also, yes it’s rather stereotypical but I think this is about the best way to describe them. They are mostly known nowadays for their ruthlessness regarding miasma poisoning, mostly on Landers. They will execute you on the spot if they think you have been poisoned and will call it mercy. Their copper activities regarding said heretics and miasma poisoning entices arresting heretics and lock them up for a long, very long time.” Bailin explained his knowledge about the Wardens as well as he could. Inhaling once more he continued: “However the Wardens also take in criminals, investigate crimes and try to hold mobs at bay as to keep Landers safe. Though with our arrival I think the mob hunting has decreased a bit as we, as adventurers, take care of those without too much of a risk compared to them.”
Taking his place on his desk again, putting his hands on his knees, he continued: “I hope I answered all of your questions to the satisfactory degree, however, if you have more questions, please ask, if you want to debate certain ideas or theories, how silly they might even be or perceived, please do. As I’ve once read: Knowledge is power. And we need both in this new world.” He ended smiling, waiting for the next torrent of questions or remarks to ensue.

It went from being a relatively quiet class to suddenly being an explosion of activity. What was once snoozing people listening to a man in an eye patch lecture became low level players basically chomping at the bit to have their questions answered. To anyone else the chaos might have confused them but for Lulu it was just another day in the life as far as she was concerned with the whole thing. While she waited for Bailin to get to her question she started to space off however as there was much going on in her head. She wondered what was happening to her body, if there was one, in the real world. Did she just crash at her desk? Were they all hospitalized? Or was there even a body to worry about at all? Perhaps they were simply not in the real world any longer and this was their prison now. The thought chilled her to the bone to consider, that they might be here permenantly.
Perhaps this was not the terrible fate her mind made it out to be however. This world was definitely an improvement over the one they were a part of previously. Here they could be heroes, they could make a difference with their own hands. To her this was a dream come true rather than a nightmarish reality that she wanted to escape. When she came across those who were panicking and wanting to go home she was often confused by it. I guess they had something worth going back to where as she did not. This was her home now and she was going to make the best of it and rise to the top. Her motivation for power was the only thing that would keep her going despite the odds stacked against her.
Just as she was about to launch into the next fantastic day dream someone stood up and spoke to the class. This woman she recognized from the great woods before today as the founder of the guild she was now a part of. Saskia was a kind woman from what she had experienced but she could also see that she was conflicted about her experiences in this world as well. Luin had a way with reading people and if this game had abilities that were not written into the code that would be it; reading peoples emotions and movements. She continued to think inwardly as Bailin went on to explain something about english kings and german kingdoms. She truly had no interest in all of that since it really applied very little to her in this world now, there was no use for what she now considered "other worldly knowledge in her opinion.
The only real information that stuck with her out of all of that was that they were making a research division. Of course she could lend a hand to such a thing but it didn't sound the least bit interesting to her. This young samurai longed to see combat- to hack and slash her way across the united kingdom half gaia project and leave her mark on everything she touched. Perhaps she should have inquired as to whether or not this guild had some sort of raid team they were putting together. She was a low level now but she was already formulating a plan of attack as to gaining experience. Even if she had to go it alone she would not give up until she was the strongest one in the guild and that was her unspoken promise.
Just then someone else's question got her attention pretty quickly. Someone was asking about the sword technique used by Bailin- her eyes drifted over the HUD to see that she was a cleric. A cleric with a sword huh? The logic behind it baffled her as most used a staff or a mace with a shield if she could recall correctly. Then again people loved to make up strange builds and see if they could use them to fill a niche that they were not intended to fill. Sword rain flurry seemed like a rather useful skill however and so she would record it in her head for later use. Perhaps she would look into obtaining such a skill so that she might boost her offensive capabilities. The only real problem was figuring out how to work foreign abilities into the tight rotations of a samurai's ace combat moves.
From everything that was explained to her Luin only took away one thing; wardens were like police. The rest of his comparisons seemed to be lost on the girl as she listened, having no clue what most of it was. She didn't concern herself much with knowing the specifics when it came to other countries military names or tactics. At the very least she got the answer she was satisfied with and so she decided that she was alright to back off now. If Wardens were like cops then they were sworn to hunt down those who abused the miasma and destroy them wherever they could. Such a tedious job to have in a world that was suppose to be nothing more than a game. What would happen if the wardens didn't bother to do it? No one could say most likely but she knew they never wanted to find out.
"I have one more question. Does the Academy intend to put together a raid team? Even if this world is real to us now there are still raids out there to conquer and raid quality loot to collect. I would love to work towards being a part of something like that; even if I have to assemble it myself." she said with a grin. It was best she made her intentions known now so that there was no confusion. She knew exactly what she wanted out of a guild and she was going to be sure that the leaders did as well. Sure she would help with everything else along the way including working professions up so that they could remain adequately geared for the expansion of their guild. WC - 1023

Ren listened to all the question his guildmates had, and to their answers. Not really being interested in most of the questions, he got a little more curious when the question about a raid group popped up. Ren loved the idea of being in a raid group, and would love to help out. "I'll gladly help to see this group become a reality. And even if it already is, I'd like to join it." Ren said. This had been the first words he spoke since being in the classroom, and hopefully he didn't have to many surprised people looking at him. He was used to being the quiet guy, even at his real school he was known as a ghost for never really standing out. When he started the game, his personality changed. He decided to become a more open person, and so far it worked out pretty well.
"I might have a question about these raids actually. I'm not sure about the specifics of these raids. Like, how many are there? Is there a minimum level to them and if so, which level?" Ren said, taking an interest in the raids. "That's all I really want to know to be honest..." Ren said, while thinking of other questions to ask Bailin. Coming to the conclusion that he doesn't have anything else to ask, he looked at Bailin waiting for a response.

"When can I get out of here?" mumbled Seth under his breath. Despite just joining this Academy and basically not even associating himself that well with it, he figured that a class session such as this would help him learn about this new fantasy world he's been forced to reside in and about the new guild he's joined. Classes were never Seth's strong suit however, as he dreaded being sat down in a room with complete strangers. He would've preferred having just a one on one lesson with the Guild Masters, but since that didn't seem to be an option this class session was the next best thing.
Seth arrived with the wave of students that found their way to the room before class began, however he did not exchange a word from any of them, nor did he care for what they had to say with each other. Upon entering he picked his own seat and propped up his belongings against the wall in the back corner of the room, preferring isolation over company and more or less hoping he wasn't noticed. He enjoyed the instructor's lesson, since it all seemed so new to him considering he never played the game much at all before the apocalypse. Many questions were asked and then answered, none of which really interested Seth much. Sure it was nice to know what a Warden was and interesting to hear the talk of a possible raid group forming, but Seth didn't much attention to all of that. As far as he knew, he came and learned what he felt he needed to learn about, yet he didn't want to simply get up and leave in the middle of class. So he sat and waited, listening to all that was said until time sped up and ended class, all the while basically bored out of his mind and fearful of being noticed.

Mitsu had arrived yet like every single time. It was always the same scenario even on the other side. Real life school had been rough times for him because of rumors, lies and all the mystery about what happened around him. He didn't really want to come in class. Why the hell am I going to class in a game ? I know it isn't à game anymore, but... Whatever. He had received a call from both Bailin and Saskia, the first two people he had really met in here. They wanted him to attend and it did sound like he really had to in the end. He shook his head as he pushed the door of the classroom, he activated [Silent Walk] enabling him to not have any sound of his footsteps. There was already a ton of mess. Everyone had their arms raised as in wanting to ask questions. Bailin was the teacher this time and it made the boy smile. He dropped his head, hair covering his face and walk towards the middle of the class rows discreetly. It wasn't really important for someone to notice him. He didn't really want to be seen and disturb everything going on. His red eyes quickly scanned each and every face, memorizing them on the bat. He didn't know anyone and no one knew him apart from Saskia and Bailin. He gently bent his knees and sat down on the chair, resting his elbows on the table, chin engulfing into his hands. His eyes were half shut and he stood there still listening to what was going on. They were speaking about wardens. Everyone hates heretics. I don't know how people are going to get along with me. What are they going to think about me ? His dark in nailed finger gently hit his cheeks in a rhythm which would feel like following a song he had heard. He scanned the room once again checking the different classes around. A samurai, a warden, a guardian, another warden, an enchanter, a cleric, a swashbuckler and a bard. He knew they wouldn't be anything to fear from Bailin. But he didn't know the other one and how dangerous he could be. Warden were mostly dumb. They all just followed what everyone said : "Kill the heretics, they are bad and kill people." Which was the case of all of them. Some didn't even know how to use corruption correctly yet. But wardens wouldn't care. They would just go all out and do what would have to be done to cleanse the land of them. It made him smile as he ran his fingers through his silver hair. A dark thin and misty aura surrounded Mitsu', barely noticeable for lower players but experienced players could see it. He sighed, hopefully he could make new friends and discover new things in this Guild. I hope I'll be in the people who are on the move a lot. His eyes wandered about on the room. The people here seemed fun to play with... He grinned at that thought lowering his head. He would just listen and hope for this to finish. He just wanted to go out and run to another place and visit it. Words: 541 Tags: Saskia Bailin Luiniel Valentine ...

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ Saskia was delighted to see that Bailin had taken the time to discussed the matters that were brought up by the students so diligently. There was a lot to learn about these undiscovered realms and still a lot the academy had to work on doing so that they may grow together.
Bailin had gone on explaining things about his desires to construct a technologically advanced team of engineers. Saskia was enthusiastic about the idea and liked the history behind it. She felt that such a group would definitely be needed to restore the lost technology of this world and also to find some way to enhance this world with the technology from their own.
She felt confident in his words when discussing the matter of funding from the guild. They wanted to do anything they could to see it prosper from growth and development.
She raised a bit of an intrigued brow when he had mentioned the use of a scribe, it certainly seemed like an interesting notion. She had no clue what he was planning, but whatever it was, it was most likely very good.
She listened to him explain in detail to Valentine, the bubbly looking cleric, about the nature of the [Sword Rain Flurry] skill. He then went further on to explain the very nature of what a Warden was at the very core of their being.
Everything seemed to be flowing well and kept simple, though the students had amassed many questions. Each seemed to have their own personal desires and ambitions that made an intricate web of goals from each of the students, all equally unique in their own regard.
One such question came from the ambitious and roaming Ronin, Luiniel. She was a nimble samurai who effectively employed her samurai chain skills in the midst of combat. Sturdy, yet their was also a burning desire Saskia noticed in her heart. She seemed to be a bit of a diamond in the rough, though normally short and sweet with her words. The girl was shrouded in her own mystique.
The question that arose from the girl was a fiery one. A smoldering hot topic for most of the students as it quickly was set ablaze by the interest of another. Much to Saskia’s surprise, the girl had offered to even lead the group of adventurers on the raid that she had desired so much.
Before Saskia could speak, the ash haired boy that was nodding off before the class started seemed to have a new excited liveliness about him as he joined in enthusiastically.
“Well, very well then Luiniel. We’ll see what you can do. We definitely should be out adventuring and I’m sure the magistrates here are dying to quench their thirst for the ancient relics and artifacts they can get their hands on. I’m quite certain the protectorates as well want a slice of the action.” Saskia smirked.
“Renshi, as long as you raids reasonably within your level, then you should be fine. I believe the lowest level ones start out around level five. However, with a good assortment of teams, I’m sure that even the lowest level members in our ranks can hold their own.”
Saskia smiled wide then cut her eyes across to the bard that settled down in his chair. He seemed to be quite quite.
“Sabbath, we might be forming a bit of a mounted knight regiment here soon. Might do a bit of training with your horse and mine.” She smiled as she heard the door twist one more time.
She was uncertain as to why students were coming in so late, but she could only assume that maybe some that emerged beyond that door would be newcomers.
“Ah, Mitsuru, nice of you to arrive. Guild, this is Mitsuru, he’s a talented mage and a friend to Bailin and I. He’s also an avid tailor and I highly recommend his skills if you’re in need of gear or repairs.”
“Also...it has come to my attention that we may be having a new influx of cadets at the academy, a lot of them are still in processing, but they should arrive here shortly after they completed their admission paperwork. I trust that we all get along well and see each other as family. We’re all going to be going out and get into all sorts of fun raids and quests together as well as some ferocious battles, so make sure you get to know each other and get a good grasp of each other’s strengths and weaknesses.”
“Also, due to our increase in numbers. I have to advise you all that with the coming of the new spacious guild hall is going to be a few renovations. We plan to install different areas that will add each of the crafting subclasses and giving them a nice bonus. This should help all of you boosts those stats pretty quick in an enviroment you can share with your fellow guildmates of the same craft as you, so you ll can learn together. ”

» Piper absentmindedly tapped her pen to her registration form. It was an arduous process getting approved for entry; Piper was certain that there would not have been as much paperwork involved if Elder Tale was still a game. Piper merely shrugged and accepted it, though, as she figured it would be worth it once things were done. She had only been here for an hour or so and she was almost ready, anyways, so it was not too bad at all.
When Piper finally did finish up her registration, she swiped the air to bring up the menu; she looked for her guild affiliation and yes, there it was, "Vylbrand Academy" written right under her name and class information. She had not spent much time at all looking for guilds; after all, she knew pretty much right away which one she wanted to join, or at least right after the whole Sahaguin incident.
According to the person at the desk, there was a class about to start up that she should attend. Class? They have classes? Thinking about it, Piper decided it made sense since the guild calls itself an academy. If they discussed the mechanics and strategies involved in the game then it would definitely be helpful for a newbie like Piper. After getting a good idea of where to go to get to the classroom Piper headed off.
"This guild hall cannot possibly be this large," thought Piper. She had spent the last hour getting hopelessly lost; she was late for whatever class was going to happen, that was for sure. Too embarrassed to actually ask anyone for more help in getting where she needed to be, she continued wandering aimlessly until, quite suddenly, a miracle occurred: she saw Saskia out of the corner of her eye. She was inside a small room; Piper remembered the person at the front desk mentioning that Saskia would be at the class, so Piper prayed earnestly to whatever gods might exist in the world of Elder Tale and poked her head inside, hoping it was the right room.
"Uh. Hello. My name is Piper. I'm new here."

In his first day at the Academy, Darko was somewhat very anxious. It was like his first day in school where he did not know who was going to be his classmates, and he might be left out again all alone. But then he did not mind being left alone. He was struck by a warm fuzzy feeling that he had never felt before, and although he might have loathed it before, now it loathed it greater than before since his heart kept on pounding as if he was more anxious in entering this room than engaging hordes of creatures or adventurers. As he took a glance at what he was currently wearing right now, Darko was somewhat becoming more anxious. Should he tuck out that shirt or should he tuck it in? Did he forget to button up completely his shirt? Was his tie fastened well? Were the hair under his cap arranged neatly? Was his belt too loose? Did he manage to completely shine his boots? Should he apply some perfume? Darko loathed the fact that he didn't have the chance of asking pharmacists in Londinium if they had such things as perfume, but he could not do that right now. He was standing at the front of the door while he was watching who seemed to be a professor lecturing a group of students about basic morals of being in this world. While he was listening to the lecture while still out of the room, Darko verily agreed on what the lecturer was saying. Death in the game might bring about delusion in the mind of the adventurer, and so as much as possible, they should not let their HP go down to zero. They should also maintain their well-being so as not to cause greater problems when the time comes that they should fight. The Landers were more fragile than Adventurers so they must be given extra attention and they should be guarded at all costs. Darko then took all of those in mind as he listened to the lectures and wondered how he could fulfill his role in the academy. But for some reason he could not bring his legs to enter into the classroom. He was late in the lecture, which should be a shame for him given his being very punctual in his classes back in his world, and he could not bring to disrespect the person who admitted him to the Academy, Saskia, who was also present in the lecture. And so he would only listen to the lecture and the subsequent questions of the attendees of the lecture while he was outside the room. He might be scooted out of the premises if he dared enter here without permission. He was late, and so he thought he must face the consequences of being late. He just stood outside the classroom and waited. His brand new outfit for attending the academy might go to waste, but so be it. He would not dare to enter the room unless he would be allowed to enter. [attr="class","landscape] [attr="class","lyric1"]One minute spent with you [attr="class","portrait] [attr="class","thousandwords"]"Twas the first day of school, and filled with joy, were excited little girls, and eager little boys."
The cherry red lips of the four-eyed vixen curved ever-so-slightly, her ears perking far and wide to the vast amount of knowledge penetrating her mind all at once. The old parliament building, at first glance, was no spit-shined masterpiece; if even that. A decrepit building with moss consuming 75% or more of the structure; of course, this had just been the exterior. Something she'd learned immediately after logging into this game was that everything was not what it appeared to be. Upon entering a building, one could compare the sensation to stepping into a portal that led into an entirely different world and using that same portal to return to the previous world; it was magnificent and she swore to get her hands on the knowledge behind it. Though, that was another story for another time. Today was her first day of school in this new land and she couldn't have been more eager to learn.
Approaching the classroom, she couldn't help but giggle as she'd heard many-a-things from within. There was talks of clubs and events, nothing that truly interested her at the moment. Expansions of their base proved to be more interesting than the former but only for research purposes. If they were going to expand, they'd have to build a library; that was a must. Putting that in a mental note, she continued to listen on at the things being said in the classroom, some of it was interesting and some of it was not. All in all, she'd gotten the general gyst of what was discussed previously and was prepared to enter the room-- when she heard it.
"RAIDS?!"
The door to the classroom burst open, a hyperventilating redhead hyped up and ready to cause a scene. "Why would we speak about raids? We haven't even begun to scratch the surface of this world's lore, yet!" She stepped further into the classroom, sitting at the first available seat she could find "Has anyone seen those dimensional portals placed so casually around the world? Shops, buildings, dungeons, raid dungeons, homes, even this guild hall. We need to get a crack team of researchers on that alone"! Pulling out a book compiled of notes she'd been taking since arriving to this world, she began rapidly flipping through it; more than just one question in her mind. "What are the similarities and differences of the biology in this world and our own? Do we die here, and assuming we don't, has anyone been able to figure out the reasoning behind that? Just how different are our bodies from the old world bodies, and yes I say old world because from the looks of it we'll all be staying here for quite some time. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that tidbid out". Pushing up her glasses, she started to get comfortable in her seat; knowing this was just the beginning of her mile-long question fest.
Pointing to the noble known as Ballin, she pushed up her glasses once more; ready to unleash her fury "Mr. Ballin, you spoke earlier of the Kings German Engineers. Is what you say anywhere in writing and if so how soon can I purchase a copy of it"? She now pointed to Saskia who'd been speaking about expansion for some time "Mrs. Saskia, you speak of expansion and that's fine and dandy but I have one question; how soon will you be able to get a library installed within said guild hall"? Noticing she'd gotten off topic, her hands slapped against her face; releasing a high pitched squeal before returning to her original questions. "Piggy backing off of my original question, do we, as women, have periods in this world? Look I know we're all trying to discuss serious matters but to a woman this is just as serious as any dungeon or raid out there! A girl has GOT to know this kind of information"! She'd now come to a grinding halt; seeming completely out of her element yet completely in her element all the same. As she attempted to catch her breath, she still couldn't help but ask questions throughout; her yearning for knowledge surpassing any within this classroom. "How far will we be able to take innovation in this world? How far has innovation taken us already? Have there been any man-made creations that were not listed in the game specs? What..about the...ugh". Completely running out of breath, she passed out on the table in front; a whimsical "ding" could be heard to signify she was finished. Thus was the end of Autumn's mile-long question fest.

nee didn't exactly know what to expect when she agreed to join Saskia's guild. The guardian, Saskia, had invited her to join the guild after their escapades at the Landers fishing village. Having played many video games over the past year, Rinee was more than aware of that a guild was. Heck, she had been a guild master in several other MMOs. However, when the world of a game became your existence, the meaning of a guild became stronger along with the bonds forged there. It was for that reason that Rinee had joined, so that she would have a place in this world and people to rely on... But, she had not expected this to be an academy of all places. She had expected the typical guild setting: People looking for quests, raid members, trading and other things like that. But nooo, this was an academy, designed to teach players. Rinee had finally escaped education in the real world when her body was brought here for the first time. Right now however, she had been brought straight back into the academic world she had longed for an escape from. She sighed a little as she continued to walk down the hallway. From this outside, the building looked rather derelict and empty. Moss covered most of the walls for the building from its exterior. Its interior however was cleaner and much more elegant. Rinee was walking down a corridor using her staff to do so, a habit she had picked up in the last few days. Sighing somewhat, she adjusted her attire with her left hand as her right hand firmly grasped the wooden staff. Rounding a corner, she approached the open doorway where she knew her first class would be held. Sighing, she rounded the corner into the room. Not many people were there yet it seemed, good, she wasn't late. Walking forwards, still using her staff to do so, she walked over to an empty table. First, she leaned her staff against a wall before she then proceeded to sit down. It occurred to her, briefly, that she wasn't wearing the academy's uniform but it just was so not her style. Sighing, she propped her head up on her left hand as she watched the other people file into the room one after the other. They ranged in gender, height and class it seemed. No two were alike, yet that same sense of freshness emanated from them all. It would seem that most of them were new players. Sighing to herself, Rinee waited patiently as the teacher arrived. As he began to speak, Rinee's mind sort of blanked out as she listened to the teacher speak, followed shortly by Saskia. Despite being a new player herself, Rinee had quickly grown used to the way this world worked. The only things that occasionally sparked her interest were things that involved the history or "lore" of the world they were in. After all, she'd joined a division dedicated to things like that. Sighing again, she listened to the various conversations of the teacher, Saskia and the students. Inventory:

» Piper was not exactly sure what had happened. At one moment, she was standing in the door, introducing herself to her new classmates; the next, she was prone, face planted on the floor and butt pointed skyward. She was feeling sore all over and she had already made a fool of herself... not the best way to start out your first day at a new guild, to be sure.
Somewhere beneath the pain in her head, Piper could hear the sound of a woman chattering along at a rapid pace. Piper was pretty sure this woman had not been in the room before... was she the one who had knocked Piper over? Piper was ready to get angry, but her protests were silenced before they began by the revelation that this woman was positively gorgeous. Piper kept her face to the floor, hoping nobody would see it flush red.
After a few minutes of continued chattering by the red haired beauty, the voice suddenly stopped and was followed by a loud thud. Piper peeked out from her position and noticed the woman sprawled out on a desk, eyes closed. Piper got up and looked at the red head curiously.
"Uh... Is she going to be okay?" Piper prodded the woman's side to see if she would wake up. Her entrance would be remembered for a long time, that was for sure... and Piper would likely be the butt of the joke whenever the topic came up. The Monk sighed and scurried over to an open seat.

“Well, to refrain from repeating things, on part of the raids, I will refer to you to Saskia’s answer. In simpler terms: loot is good and loot is gained from raids and quests. So please try to form parties that consist of people you can work well with and classes that complement each other. So for example: Having a party full of guardians is nice, but it might limit your problem solving abilities.” Bailin said with a smile. “To be a mean person, as we have a lot of new people and a lot of different classes, how would all of you feel about doing some drills with the entire guild? It would be interesting, hilarious and possibly annoying, but it will let us find out who works best with whom and in what role. However, miss Guildmaster, perhaps it would be best to make participation not mandatory, though I will leave that decision up to you.” Bailin said with a grin, leaving Saskia the dreadful decision of drills. [break][break] As Bailin prepared for the next round of answers a head suddenly popped around the corner, introducing itself as Piper, one of the new members. Before Bailin could answer a second new member appeared near the head, wearing something that looked fancy enough. However suddenly a red hurricane entered the classroom, waltzing over the one called Piper and leaving her bottoms up on the ground. “My, my, I suppose we should make jokes about bottoms up and heads or tails.” was all Bailin could mutter out as the red hurricane had left him rather startled, not allowing the slightest second of help or room for answering any further. Thus Bailin gently waved the nicely dressed member inside the class room as the barrage of questions was unleashed, as if a machinegun started shooting bullets and had turned red from the heat it produced. Folding his arms in front of his chest Bailin patiently waited for the red haired question cannon stopped talking, something that seemed to take a long, long time. After a certain amount of time the red haired women passed out, probably because she lacked oxygen or her brain shut down after going into full overdrive. [break][break] “Well now, it would appear someone might take my job away from me.” Bailin smirked as Piper asked whether or not the girl would be all right and prodded her side. “I think so, cruel as I am I would say let her sleep it off for a bit, but alas she is not meant to be used as a rug, so let’s be sociable and move her out of the way. It is also a pity she passed out, she asked some interesting questions.” Bailin said grinning as he gently dragged the girl to the wall and gently put her upright, hoping she would not fall down again. [break][break] “Anyway, enough with the mean me, time to get a tad more serious.” Bailin said as he exhaled and removed the semi-evil grin from his face. “I will answer her questions and repeat them to her when she wakes up. However, for now, let me start with the beginning of the barrage of questions that have been launched.” He continued calmly as if nearly nothing had happened. [break][break] “The first question is rather rhetorical and we have discussed raids a bit before. The matter of lore would be able to be brief: We know little to nothing, bar the things we know from the real world, though even that might not be entirely true as things are a wee bit odd. The transportation or Fairy gates, I prefer to call them Gates for now, are indeed and most likely scattered across either our server or perhaps even the entire server. However, as far as I am aware they do not function properly and as such I advise against using them.” He started his answers, gently leaning against the desk. [break][break] “As you all are probably aware, the Magistrars are our research division so if any of those are interested in doing research on a certain matter, come see me. Other sections are of course also welcome to join in.” Bailin smiled, “As for the KGE, no it is not in writing as I have not bothered writing things up yet. However the KGL has a history indeed, however we cannot look it up on the internet at the moment.” He continued joking a bit. [break][break] “As for the rooms inside the building I think both me and Saskia will have a nice chat about that. As far as I’ve understood it we have a set number of rooms, thus certain rooms will have a priority over others. But we will cross that bridge when we get there. For now all I can tell you is this; we will require a larger guild hall and I have a nice place in mind. It is called the Royal Naval Academy. In short: this is the place where the British Naval Officers and such received their training, a fitting place I’d say, with access to the water, which would give us certain… advantages.” [break][break] “As for the more… delicate question, I fear I lack the slightest notion on the matter.* As it is rather obvious I am lacking certain female parts as well and as such I cannot answer that question at all. However, though I doubt it, perhaps one of our female members could perhaps discuss the matter in a more private setting with their fellow females? Though I presume us men would prefer to know when whether or not we should buy chocolates in advance as well as prepare hide out bunkers, just in case.*” Bailin joked. [break][break] “And once more a tad serious, though this is also something I am lacking information on. I have no idea how far we can take things. I do know we can indeed make things that were not in the game before, however to what extent we are either limited or not, I do not know. All we can do is well… do and see how far we can go. I think that would conclude our barrage. Does anyone has any new questions or suggestions so far?” Bailin asked his ‘pupils’/guildmates, quickly glancing over to the unconscious girl against the wall. [break][break]

Post by Darko Lipowitz on Feb 11, 2015 5:45:54 GMT
As Darko was stared upon by the lecturer, Darko still did not budge. He waited for his signal to come in, for he might be not welcome for his being late. However, he did not notice immediately the woman who also came late and stuck out her head into the classroom to ask if she could come in. He admired the courage that that woman had, but still full of courtesy in that she asked first if she could enter. Suddenly Darko heard footsteps in the hallway loud enough to be heard, and when Darko knew from where it came from, it was too late: a red-haired woman came barging through the door, trampling on the first woman as she came by. As he saw what was happening, he slapped his right hand across his eyes, signifying he did not like whatever idiocy was happening in this area right now. As it turned out, they need someone who can deal with the discipline of the students more than they need a veritable scholar. The red-haired beauty with the mannerisms of an ass directed a torrent of questions at the lecturer, and Darko listened to them while he helped the former woman to stand. Some of the questions were nonsense, but still answers were needed in these so that they would be informed abut they need to know.
The lecturer signaled Darko to come in, and so he went inside the classroom. He then took a quick scrutinizing glance towards his guild mates present. The most notable ones, except the headmaster herself and the lecturer, was the fox-tail samurai he had met before, a person who seemed to be a heretic due to some slight disfigurements on his body, and someone who might be a fellow sorcerer due to the garb being of a witch. The only empty seat near to the front being that at the side of the witch, he took a seat there. But as he took a seat, the long train of questions of the red-haired person ended abruptly with a thud. Darko thought that some have had enough of her, but by the blue of her face it seemed that she lost oxygen in the process of asking too many questions. Darko then facepalmed again following that event. It is essential for the person who was being asked questions took a breather and answer even before the next question is asked, and more that you should not sacrifice your body in the process of asking questions. That should be one of the crux of the discussions of the lecturer earlier: to maintain good body habits. Now he had regretted going to this lecture earlier, but thankful that he had attended in time to hear the lectures.
The lecturer had explained the questions of the fainted woman in an accurate but lively manner. As nothing much was still known about the lore of this place, he decided to drop the question. He also was never trusting of the Fairy Gates as he advised against them. He then explained that the Magistrar division would tackle every researching job and that he could be consulted for suggestions about researching something. Well, it would seem that he might consult with the lecturer a lot in the near future. He then explained about the current predicament of the guild in being within the grounds of another well-established guild. Fortunately it was in the works for the guild to move to a place more apt for an academy: the Royal Naval Academy, where the naval officers of the British Empire were trained back in the real world. Discarding the topic on the monthly period of women, he then delved on the greater possibilities of recreating the things they might enjoyed or seen back in the real world. Well, he have not crafted anything of note, and so he could not say anything. But the mechanics might be those who can innovate, and Darko looked forward to what they could do. Well he was currently searching for someone who can craft him a nice sniper rifle. But that might wait.
But it seemed that he needed to ask something to the lecturer, one that was connected to his being assigned to the Magistrar division. He then raised his hand and said, "May I have a word?" If he was allowed to say something he would start: "I am Darko Lipowitz and I was just assigned in the Magistrar Division. May I ask, is there anything that might be missed by the Academy that was needed to be investigated? I am just new in the Academy and I needed to clarify that, and I need somewhere to get me started so that there would be not much conflict."
