Cy offered his skills and a look into his battle tactics. "Alright, well Dumah has control over the melee decisions so you can see how he wants to roll the aggro roll." Myrddin said as he jotted down information about Cy and his abilities. "Though that advantage to dexterity debuffs is useful. It'll help you out greatly as you level I'm sure."
Mokusu followed Myrddin's lead and mentioned his skills and their descriptions. The summoner was an interesting class, no doubt. The ability to summon allies to assist in a multitude of ways made it rather versatile. "Hearing perception, eh?" He parroted with a glint in his eye, "Do you know how much farther you can hear than normal?" He asked, the hamster wheel turning in his mind once again. "What are the cooldowns of your abilities? And Carbuncle, can it do anything else? What about Sylph, what all can it-" The enchanter spoke, so focused on Mokusu and his abilities that he didn't notice the new presence approach them.
"So are you ladies and gentlemen going to make a raid group yet or what?"
"DO?!" He shrieked, startled by the presence's sudden question. Myrddin jerked his head to look over his shoulder as he moved a couple steps away from the source of his surprise and dropped his notepad. It hit the ground with a soft clap but went unnoticed.
"Because separate parties is fun and all, but you will not share the XP unless you are all in the same general 'group'." She continued and flashed a smile with her purple almost violet curls barely bouncing like springs. Myrddin stared at her in surprise, his eyes wide as she turned and address Dumah. "So are you the leader? Seeing as how you are the one who put up that flier correct?" Her question seemed to be left unanswered as Dumah seemed drawn to the the wee-one's hysterics. Myrddin added no input to their encouraging exchange, even when she called him "daddy". That struck Myrddin as a bit strange as she had just met Dumah. He wondered if she did that sort of thing often, or maybe she is someone whom gets attached quickly. Though he also noted her fear of death. It was similar to those the adventurers' had directly following the Catastrophe. Though in the passed fifteen minutes at least three adventurers had come from the Cathedral, their poke'mon center of sorts. It was curious but he wasn't so much interested in digging for that information as he was concerned with the girl that had surprised him.
She had pointed ears and stood a bit shorter than he did, her lithe-like frame was draped in a botanical dress that fit her quite well. Her purple hair was spun into curls that framed her face which made her red eyes stand out. She had turned to address Dumah which gave Myrddin a good look at her side profile. "First off; don't do that!" He said, a bit more sternly than he intended as he patted his right hand against his chest. "And aye, he is and we have formed the raid group. Let me guess; you want to join too?" He asked as the fingers on his left hand drummed against his staff to Bloc Party's Hunting for Witches.

A little while after I talked to Mokusu a man named Myrddin walked up. He was a Half-Alv Enchanter and he asked if there was room for one more as his left hand's fingers rhythmically drummed a beat from the song "Should I Stay Or Should I Go" by The Clash. It was a very familiar song to me. Dumah began to talk but was cut off by a young girl named Alette who also wanted to join. She asked a lot and it was quite charming. My face unconsciously had a smile on it. Dumah asked Alette various questions like what is your level and what is your dream. Alette answered all of them cheerfully. After the questions Dumah added her to the party. Then he turned to Myrddin and asked the same questions. I guess that's his way of interviewing people. Suddenly I saw a red blur come up on a skateboard. I was surprised because I had thought there were no skateboards in Elder Tale. He asked to join the party and introduced himself. Apparently his name was Verin, I quite like it. Dumah asked Verin if he could ask him the same questions. Of course Verin said yes and Dumah asked him the same questions as he asked Alette and Myrddin. I looked out at the city and saw a person battered in dust walked along the streets as if he had just gotten out of a fight. he noticed us and came running up and intruduced himself. "Hi my name is Vitae I am a Level 1 Human Druid." He then suggested that since there were too many people for one party we make two. I thought this was a brilliant idea and so did everyone else. Alette even started jumping from the idea. I looked down at Mokusu who was looking at a map and was oblivious to his surroundings. To my surprise he then got up and noticed that there were more people. He introduced himself and said that we would be facing a lot of slimes. I chuckled at that. He also said that he would be in the support party. I would probably also be in this group. He also asked if there was a Scribe so that we wouldn't get lost. Kode answered immediately and said. "I am a Scribe. And hopefully I will be useful." I looked at him in a manner of. "Of course you will!." Alette also said that he would be a huge help and extended her arms to the side as much as she could. Just after Alette said that Myrddin exclaimed that he was also a scribe and said that it would be a good idea to have one Scribe in each party. I thought it would be very useful to have a scribe in each party and looked at him approvingly. It was also good that Kode was an attacking class and Myrddin was a support class so they wouldn't have to have a support class in the attack party. Alette was looking at Kode intently. I noticed this and looked at him as well. It appeared that he was opening everyone's info screens but he was stuck on someone. I didn't know who but after a couple tries he gave up. Dumah looked at all the people we had gathered and said. "Alright, including myself, we have a total of nine players. Sadly we couldn't get a Guardian, but I'm sure we'll be more than alright without one. Why don't we go then as we are? We have six offensive fighters, and three supporters; if we count Mokusu as a Support with his two summons capable of healing our wounds, we would have five offensive fighters and four supporters." He then looked at Mokusu and said. "Mokusu, the choice is yours on which party you wish to join." He then addressed the entire party and said. "I propose we set up a Raid Party. We do not have enough to fill it entirely, but we can still link our two parties together with the Raid Party system. Does that sound good to everyone? That way we don't have anyone losing out on EXP from kills, and it would allow those members of the Support Party to more easily target us in the Vanguard Party." Alette nodded in agreement of Dumah's plan. Dumah then turned to Myrddin and said. "Mr. Myrddin, you're an Enchanter, are you not? Perhaps you should be Party Leader of the Support Party; I've heard Enchanters are best when it comes to support." He made a good point. I then suddenly heard a voice from behind me and turned around. I say a man wearing cloth armor with big muscles. At first I thought he was a caster but because of his muscles I concluded that he was a monk. He came up out of breath and asked to join. saying that he still needed to learn combat while looking embarrassed. Dumah said that he could join and told him that this entire thing was made to help low level characters learn to fight. Dumah then held out his hand to shake as well as Myrddin and Alette. I joined in and introduced myself. "Hey there. I am Crimson Blood, previously Red Rose and former leader of the guild The Toy Makers. But you can call me Crimson." The monk introduced himself and said his name was Makara Cy. Apparently he was a monk, totally called it, and a berserker. Since he was a berserker I thought it would be best to try and keep his health in the red as much as possible. If he was going to die we would just heal him more. Myrddin invited me to a party and I quickly accepted. He then asked everyone for their skills so that he could better understand us. I read my skills out as followed. "My best skill is Ode of the Timid which decreases aggro on attacks so feel free to use some attacks with high aggro. Just warn me first. It has a casting time of 1.5 seconds a duration time of 20 seconds and a cooldown time of 35 seconds." Suddenly Dumah looked like something popped up on his menu and then a woman popped up from behind Myrddin. he was startled and dropped his notepad. He then told her to not do that. I was surprised that all these people joined from a simple flyer but I guess that's the charm of a group. I then remembered that I should invite everyone here to my friends list. That's just the person I am. i added everyone here but when I tried to add Alette I couldn't I tried a couple more times and decided that it wouldn't work so I left it for now. I then looked at Kode who was staring intently at Alette. I should talk to him about what just happened later. "Wow! I love this. Being in a party with other people and fighting enemies is so much fun!."

I was looking at the map for awhile planning on where we should go. I was completely oblivious of my surroundings and didn't notice more people showing up. After I looked up I say a few new faces. A druid named Regina, a Monk named Makara Cy. They were talking about various things but I ignored them while thinking intently. I thought. "Hmm... I wonder if there will be enough people. There should be. Also I should Myrddin and the others my skills now." I decided to tell Myrddin my skills so I checked them and starting reading them out. "I have various skill and the first one is Riot Blade. I swipe in a wide frontal arc hitting up to three enemies within reach and increasing aggro against them. Another one I have is Riot Shield. My shield expands via unfolding fins, with the increased coverage area of the shield to an area similar to a guardian's shield. It also grants a resistance to ranged attacks for a short time, allowing the me to advance under fire. My last skill is M.U.T. Mechanized Utility Tool. It's not very useful for attacking enemies, it has great value in it's ability to alter terrain. Preparation has always been a key belief in the Warden doctrine. The M.U.T. has 3 forms, an unpowered shovel, a powered drill and a powered saw. Their use can with some time, alter a location to create a tiny fortification, just large enough for a party. Party members within the fortification receive the entrenchment effect. Entrenchment increases the health and mp recovery of party members when resting and their defense in the event of combat. Since the apocalypse it seems we can do things that weren't previously possible so this last skill will probably be one of the most useful skills in my arsenal. I also have Cartridge skills which allow me to do various things. There are currently ten of them. Each of them take up a certain amount of cartridges, currently I have four Cartridges but I can get more. My cartridge skills are Cannon Surprise, A miniature cannon is affixed to your armor in a location of your choosing. When fired it launches a shell which does a large amount of damage to it's target with a small amount of area damage. It consumes 1 cartridge, Hidden Torch, a hidden torch module installed allows for a very short range flamethrower to burn foes. This module can be installed on a Warden's armor or shield. Consumes 1 cartridge per 10 seconds activated, Overcharged Strike, sometimes packing in a little more power is a little dangerous, but it sure is effective. The next 2 non-cartridge offensive abilities are considered to be overcharged, increasing their effect by 50%. Consumes 1 cartridge, Texas Tea, the user squirts out an oil slick over a short distance, making enemies who pass over it likely to lose balance. Each burst can cover 1 square meter. 3 bursts per cartridge, Smokescreen, a canister is launched or thrown which releases a blueish obscuring smoke. This smoke conceals a 10 meter radius location for up to 60 seconds. Perfect for a tactical assault (or retreat). Consumes 1 cartridge, Rocket Punch, despite implying being for punching, the Rocket Punch actually activates some tiny thrusters on the arm of the warden, greatly incresing the force and damage of the melee attack it is coupled with. consumes 1/2 a cartridge per use, Accelerated Burst, it's and escape ability that consumes 1/2 cartridge to instantly propel the warden 5 meters either forward, backward or to the side via some explosive rocket charges in their boots, Emergency Treatment, a special medical spray handed down through warden families for generations will heal the target for 25% of their health over 10 seconds. The strong shot to the body's regenerative functions is too dangerous to use on the same target in a short period of time. Consumes 1 catridge, Assoult with a Battery, an electrical charge via magitech circuits is transferred into the Warden's weapon, enhancing attacks with lightning damage for a short time. Consumes 1/2 a cartridge to power the weapon for 5 seconds, and finally Dead Eye, the warden injects a special stimulant into themselves which at the cost of 1 cartridge, will increase their accuracy and critical hit rate for 10 seconds." He had quoted all of the Cartridge skills from his list and hoped that everyone cought what he said. "Also I think I would be best suited for the tank role."

After I introduced myself I looked for a shadowy place to hide. it's just how I am. I found one and hid there watching everyone and listening. More and more people walked up to the party and introduced themselves. After awhile I heard Myrddin, a Half-Alv Enchanter ask everyone for their skills. people started responding including Crimson and Kode. After they responded I decided to. I jumped out of the shadows and surprised everyone. It seems they didn't notice I was gone. I was a little sad that no one noticed but I got over it quickly. "I guess I should report my skills next." I then read out my skills and their descriptions as follows. "Deadly Dance: Physical Melee Attack. A skill that uses the Assassin’s angular momentum in order to increase the damage of their attack. The Assassin jumps and spins in the air while gripping their weapon, then lands onto the opponent and delivers a downward slash. The key of Deadly Dance is to accumulate angular momentum, so users might find it advantageous to use the skill multiple times in succession. This skill has an animation time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds. Fatal Ambush: Physical Attack. Assassins are known for their deadly strikes, often being able to slay in a single strike. This technique is the first of the many massive damage attacks the Assassins have under their repertoire. It is a crude version however, a novice skill that serves more as the basis and foundation for future, more poetic, techniques. Requiring a long preparation time, the Assassin must focus onto their target, limiting their perception and leaving them vulnerable to other attacks, as they search for a weak point. Then by focusing all of their strength into one strike, the assassin strikes their target with all of their might into a single point, dealing critical damage. The mental exertion required taxes the mind heavily however, and the technique can only be used sparingly. This skill has an casting time of 5 seconds before it may be used. When it is used, Fatal Ambush has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 60 seconds. And finally. Hiding Entry: Self Buff. One of the basic stealth magics of the Assassin. A signature move of the Assassins, known for being able to hide in plain sight, that allows them to bend light around them and become invisible to the naked eye for an extended period of time, up to ten minutes. Offensive actions, stabbing a target for instance, immediately break the magic used to hide the Assassin. The spell itself can be a bit taxing to the Assassin and can only be used sparingly. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds, lightly draining the user's MP upon use. It has a cooldown of 30 seconds the moment it is canceled. Hopefully they will be helpful." I end what I was saying and return to the shadows. Everyone goes back to what they were doing before I appeared. I guess I stole their attention.

Dumah looked curiously at the Monk. "You said you have a passive that gives you protection from Dexterity debuffs? I wonder which one... Anyways, I suppose I'll go next then!" Dumah slid his finger down, opening his menu. He accessed his skills and began to list them out, giving detailed descriptions of each. "Ante Up: Tier I Swashbuckler Skill: The swashbuckler summons additional weapons from their inventory and claps their hands together to perform this spell. The weapons will then be levitated into the air and controlled by an AI to fight alongside them. Depending on vocal commands, the AI can be designated to either focus on all-out attacking, defensive play, or balance fighting. Maintaining this skill results in a constant drain on the swashbuckler's MP. From Level 1-30, only one weapon can be controlled by this skill. From Level 31-60, two weapons can be controlled. From Level 61-90, three weapons can be controlled. After Level 90, four weapons can be controlled. Ante Up has a casting time of 5 seconds. It drains MP at the rate of about 10% of the Swashbuckler's MP each turn, provided the maximum number of weapons is being controlled per tier." He went to the next skill. "Flush Draw: Tier I Skill A skill that either requires throwing weapons as the primary equipped weapon or for the user to take out a throwing weapon from their quick slot. The swashbuckler releases the throwing weapon, after which it will release a brilliant flash of light. This sudden distraction often allows the player to quickly switch back to their primary weapon and close in on the opponent. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown of 10 seconds." Again, he read the description verbatim of the skill after that. "Fold Step: Using this skill, the user's body suddenly is propelled and accelerates in a desired direction. It is often used as a surprise burst of momentum when delivering an attack or used as a last-ditch dodging maneuver. The only downside to this technique is that once activated, the swashbuckler cannot stop or adjust their trajectory. This skill has an animation time of 1 second and a cooldown time of 6 seconds. My next skill is Viper Raise: An attack that targets the arm tendons. A successful hit will result in gradual damage over time due to a bleeding effect, which is accommodated by the wound area seeping out a constant trail of blood. Despite the move's somewhat gory animation, this bleeding effect is fairly minor and scales in a manner similarly to a poison effect. This skill has a 2 second animation time and a 9 second cooldown. Next are my subclass skills: Needlework: Due to the dexterity from which they perform their tasks, tailors are able to make up for any compromises in their ability. Any dexterity debuffs to a tailor can be recovered from twice as quickly. I also have Allure: A toggle skill that can be used anytime in a conversation with People of the Land. It allows the Courtesan to smooth over any mistakes and retain the target's attention. Often, this skill can also be used to obtain information that would otherwise require long interrogation. Allure's effect scales with the Courtesan's subclass level, becoming more effective at higher levels."

Alette followed Dumah's example and smiled to the group, listing off her abilities. "Frost Spear: Tier I Skill - Impales a single target using an icicle spear for Ice-element damage. This skill inflicts a slowing debuff on the target, as well as increasing its defense for the duration. Many players learn this skill for its balance of damage, casting time, and utility that is a notch above most Sorcerer skills. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 15 seconds. Psychic Conductor: Tier I Skill - The Sorcerer channels mana toward an inanimate object within 10 meters and lifts it into the air. This object can then be used to bludgeon enemies until it either breaks or the user cancels their grip on the object. Psychic Conductor can lift objects with a maximum weight equal to 10 pounds times the user's level. It cannot be used on objects that are in the possession of another character and slowly drains the user's MP over time. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 10 seconds from the moment it is canceled. Orb of Lava: Tier I Skill - A ranged Fire-element magic that hurls a fist-sized orb of lava onto enemies. This lava ball bounces across enemy targets, dealing damage on impact. Since this skill is Fire-based, this is very effective against enemies weak against fire. One well-known trait of this skill is that it does not affect allies during combat, making it a popular skill among players. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 20 seconds. Carving: Toggle skill. Artisans have a certain affinity with carving stone, making their normal artistic talents not to be underestimated in battle. Artisans deal 20% more damage to Rock-type monsters. They can also ignore defense buffs on Rock-type monsters. Scout: The Animal Trainer attempts to recruit a monster to their cause in order to create a temporary partner. This is often done by approaching the monster without startling or aggravating it. If performed successfully, a tamed monster will fight by the Trainer's side for a few minutes before control is lost and the monster returns to the environment. Certain situations might make this duration last longer or shorter; acts of kindness toward the tamed monster will make it stick around for longer, while excessive demand will make the Trainer quickly lose favor with the monster. Only one monster can be tamed at a time at the early levels." She bowed, almost as if she finished some sort of audition for a school activity.

With everyone stating their skills Verin guessed it was his turn to state them himself, so he put on a kind smile and started listing his skills. "My first skill is Inferno Strike, elemental enchantment. The Sorcerer enchants a weapon with the flame element, causing it to glow red and release occasional small embers. A target struck by the weapon at this time can be ignited, causing minor damage over time. Because of the direct hit necessary to activate this skill, it is a slightly risky strategy. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 300 seconds, and a cooldown of 60 seconds. If this skill is used on a weapon that is already affected by an elemental enchant, the previous elemental enchantment is overwritten. Second is Serpent Bolt, a spell that shoots an initial blue-purple lightning bolt toward a target. However, rather than discharging entirely on the target on contact, the lightning remains as static energy. For 30 seconds at about 3-second intervals, the electricity arcs away from the target to damage and stun any other nearby enemies. As a result, it serves as a slight deterrent against defensive formations. Although this spell has a fairly long cooldown time, it has a fast casting speed and is often favored for use at the beginning of a battle. Because the target used to channel the electricity is not damaged by the spell, many Sorcerers also tend to cast it on themselves or a teammate as a supportive offense. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 45 seconds. I also have Orb of Lava which is my favorite one to use and my most commonly used skill now. Orb of Lava, a ranged fire-element magic that hurls a fist-sized orb of lava onto enemies. Now for my least used skills Barrier Spike, Act One - Exposition, and Transmutation. Going in the order I stated them here is their descriptions. Barrier Spike, a skill known to be one of the very few defensive options available to a sorcerer. The magician calls upon the powers of earth in order to erect a small wall of spiked stalagmites from the ground. This walls can withstand a moderate amount of physical damage before falling apart. However, the Sorcerer shouldn't count on this as their only defense. This skill has a casting time of 2 seconds and a cooldown of 30 seconds. Barrier Spikes are considered to be resistant to earth and physical attacks and weak to wind attacks. Act One - Exposition, his skill passively allows the character to use a puppet in battle at the cost of an off-hand equip. Its active effect allows the Puppeteer to send the puppet forward and grab the target. This results in a minor bind status effect and a decrease in the target's movement speed. Transmutation, alchemists are naturally aligned with the power of magical equipment, able to use the Adventurer skill [Equipment Mastery: Magical] as a Beginner-level skill without having it take up a skill slot. Their research also gives them an advantage in fighting artificial life to deal an additional 10% damage. If [Equipment Mastery: Magical] is already learned through racial or class bonuses, Magitech damage increases by 10%. There is also my Sorcerer Beginner Skill, Magical Repetition, practice makes perfect. A Sorcerer has cast their spells countless times, resulting in them getting a little more efficiency out of them. Casting time for spells is reduced by 5% for the party. Multiple instances of this skill do not stack. This last one will help us a lot since most of us are magic users most likely, but don't expect much." With this Verin shifted his hands waiting for the next person to go, this was one thing Verin wasn't good with, waiting.

With everyone going on about their skills Vitae pulled up his status screen and then looked at his skill and he was kind of disappointed that he since he was only level one he only had five skills, six if you included the Beginner Skill like Verin did. Speaking of Verin, he had already left an impression on him along with Dumah, both seemed like characters from the Knights of the Round Table in Arthurian Legend, but he couldn't really tell which of the knights they were. Well after Verin stated his skills it was kind of silent, so Vitae guessed he should go next, "I don't have many skills, but I think they will be very helpful to the party. My first skill is Familiar: Gray Wolf, a summoning ability usable by the Druid class, which brings forth a Grey Wolf pup to fight beside them. The wolf excels in physical offense and speed, making it an excellent companion for those wanting to improve their DPS. However, it is a little more fragile than other beginner familiars such as the Alraune, so caution should be exercised when dealing with tough monsters. The wolf's signature ability is a high-speed pounce that can bounce over to strike nearby foes within a second, although this skill does come with a cooldown of 20 seconds. The wolf's abilities and appearance becomes more impressive as the skill ranks up, increasing the familiar's size. When a Familiar summoning skill is used, any Familiars currently active are canceled. Next is a defensive one, Sand Curtain. The Druid uses the power of earth to collect dust and sand from the surrounding area into a small orb of light and releases it into the surrounding air. This is then followed up with an attack that summons a localized cyclone to swirl around the user and dealing wind-based damage to nearby enemies. This skill provides a temporary reduction in sight for all players and monsters within a ten meter radius for about 5 seconds. This skill has a casting time of 1 second and a cooldown of 10 seconds. I also have one healing skill called Earthbeat Healing, Heartbeat Healing, in the form of a full party regeneration ability. It covers the target in a sparkling blue light. Understandably, it has a longer cooldown and a slightly lower efficiency than its single-target counterpart. However, it can be stacked with Heartbeat Healing to create a steady rate of healing over time. Be careful, as this skill attracts a high amount of aggro from opponents. This skill has a casting time of 4 seconds, a duration of 20 seconds, and a cooldown of 45 seconds. Then the others are my subclass skills and Beginner Skill. My Beginner Skill is Nature's Blessing, a buff type spell which will increase the party's natural healing ability. The effect is not enough to affect combat as a heal spell would, but it is always active and will accelerate resting periods. Then I also have Detox, Pharmacists have developed a certain resistance around drugs. This skill can be toggled to make a pharmacist immune to status debuffs caused by potions. Additionally, they passively recover twice as fast from poison status effects. Here is the final one and the one that makes my different, Jousting. The Cavalier's specialization in horseback combat is revealed in their greater proficiency of lance combat. Any two-handed spears or polearms wielded by the Cavalier become one-handed while they are mounted. Additionally, if the Cavalier's main class would normally penalize them from using spears or polearms, this skill allows them to use spears and polearms without penalty." With this Vitae gave another smile and then quieted down.

"Is Ode of the Timid your only skill, Crimson?" Myrddin asked, since he knew bards were good support classes too he hoped the silver haired youth had other abilities to bring along. When Crimson expressed his love of their current planned situation the enchanter nodded in agreement. "Aye. Being in a party is far more enjoyable that being solo."
Next on the list of speakers was Kode, a serious faced warden with sharp eyes. He listed off his abilities which were fascinating to Myrddin as the warden had so many at such a low level. He made a mental note of the ability to alter terrain. "Aye you have a rather expansive collection but you're right; your M.U.T sounds like something we can definitely exploit to our advantage." He said with a grin, as he rubbed his chin with his thumb and index finger. "How we it comes to you and the others in the vanguard party, of course you know you'll get your strategy stuff from Dumah. Though if we plan on being out for a good while I recommend us using that M.U.T to build a small somewhat fortified campsite." He glanced around at the group and stopped on Dumah, "What do you think, boss?"
Following Kode was Kokkakku, a young man with light navy hair and a lithe-like frame. He apparently had ducked off after he offered his skill info. "Uhh...alright. Well like I told Kode, you'll get your orders from big boss Dumah. Though I think you have the potential to be a great scout. Especially if paired with Mokusu's advanced hearing ability." Myrddin couldn't see Kokkakku but he spoke to the general direction the assassin was last in. Good potential. Though maybe a bit shy.
The people seemed to fall in one after the other and offer up their skill info just as Myrddin asked. Next was Dumah, the dark haired swashbuckler. He had some very interesting skills that spoke to Myrddin's fighting side, though due to his current class was not something he could do so he continued on. "Courtesan? I didn't know you were the smooth talker type." He quipped and flashed Dumah as smirk. "You call the shots for your team. And since you know more about the game and the combat system here, let me know if we need to pick up on anything to better our support." He said with hope that Dumah didn't think him power hungry or pushy. In truth he was nervous about being the leader of the support when he felt less than supremely confident in his abilities.
Alette the wee sorceress, slide in right behind Dumah's reveal and gave him some good ideas for back up offense, should it be needed. "Thanks, Alette. And don't worry." He said with a smile. "You'll be fine, we'll see to that."
Verin pipped in soon after Alette. He too was a wee sorcerer, just a bit less wee than Alette. He had similar abilities as her and a couple that differed. He had one for defense that perked Myrddin's interest. "Alrighty then, I may have a few good idea for later. It ties in with the fortified campsite. Sort of. Okay it still needs work but it's something." He mumbled, before he realized Verin brought up a skill he forgot about. "Oh right! The class specific skill every one of us has. I forgot about those, thanks for reminding me, Verin."
Finally, it was Vitea's turn. The young druid boy explained his skills. "Alright, Vitea, since your skills can be put nicely towards healing with some minor offense would you be opposed to being tasked with as healer, especially with that Nature's Blessing skill? Or back up heals if the lady there has better healing spells. That is between you two." Myrddin said and lifted is hands in a peaceful gesture to both druids. "And your wolf familiar would help with DPS. Though he may not be needed with the high level characters we have. But that Sand Curtain sounds like something to use if we really need to retreat."
"OH! And Verin, with that Serpent Bolt, we could use it on the vanguard party's tank and with him focusing on drawing all enemies toward him. Thus a increase in stun and damage other enemies around him." Myrddin added as he finished with Vitea. "Now all that's left is her to decide if she wants to join us. And if so, what he skills are." He stated and turned to face the one whom surprised him earlier. "Oh, and your class skill party bonuses, what can you guys do?"

Alette smiled at the mention of the class passive skills. "Mine gives the party a five percent reduction of cast times for skills!" She looked to the side, thinking. "Or was it cool down times...?" She smiled adorably and titled her head to the other side. "It doesn't matter! We should get going on this adventure! Where are we going, by the way? Have we decided?" Alette looked at the map Dumah had given the party with a curious gaze on her face, looking to see where they would be heading. She made curious "Hmm..." sounds constantly as she scanned the map. She even started holding her chin as she pondered their destination. "Hmmm... Hmmm...!" She awaited someone - anyone - to answer her question before stopping.

Cy just stood there silently, looking between each person as they spoke and towering above the majority of them. Sighing through his nose softly as he waited for the skill discussion to end. It honestly gave him a bit of a headache because he honestly wouldn't recognize or remember anything but his own abilities. When the discussion finally turned to where they planned to go, he looked down. He barely knew any of the locations... Actually, he didn't know any of them. He couldn't suggest a place.. But with how many people they had present he figured someone would have an idea soon. HE was a little uncomfortable... It was a lot of people here... He didn't hope to really stand out at this point, but so long as he got the experience he needed to get out of this crappy level one spot, he'd be happy. He looked around at everyone, like the little one had been, waiting for someone to suggest where they planned to go. It'd probably be somewhere above his level... With so many people here at so many different levels it would be almost pointless for them to expect much from the low level dungeons.

Dumah held his chin gently and spoke to the two parties of players who joined him for adventure. "Why don't we head towards the Windsor Castle? It's just past the Windsor Greatwood, so we should have a bit of a travel. Besides, on our way there, we will be likely to encounter some enemies. These will serve well in granting a small amount of EXP to the low leveled players. As such, by the time we reach our destination of the Windsor Castle, they shall have gained a few levels." Dumah was holding his hands behind his back formally, his right hand holding his left wrist. He looked to the other members of his impromptu raid party, looking to see their reactions - be it of approval, or objection. "We higher leveled Adventurers will not earn as much Experience as I'm sure some of us would hope, but hey - I made this party for the benefit of the lower leveled players." Dumah smiled appreciatively to those higher leveled players of the party. "Of course, that is not to say that I do not appreciate the assistance you all offer for our party."

"Mine gives the party a five percent reduction of cast times for skills!" She looked to the side and paused for a moment in thought. "Or was it cool down times...?" Alette tilted her head to the side and smiled. "It doesn't matter! We should get going on this adventure! Where are we going, by the way? Have we decided?" The wee-one asked as she looked curiously at the map Dumah had given the party. Once she got eyes on the map she made a noise as if she were thinking of where to go. Myrddin noticed after the second "hmmm" that it was an act. With an internal sigh he nodded.
"Aye, you may be right." He said and tapped the toe of his boot against the ground, "I may have gotten a bit carried away with the abilities, I just figure the information could help. Also, if you're a sorcerer I imagine your passive is the same as Verin's." He shrugged and noticed Cy stood silently off to the side in his peripheral vision. He looked as if something might be on his mind. Myrddin made sure not to look at Cy just in case something was in fact bothering him. He couldn't shake his gut feeling that he was plagued by something. With the decision to investigate the enchanter swiped his finger at the air and opened his window. He deftly navigated his way to the party listing and selected Makara Cy, Monk of "the Unseen Fist". He pressed his index finger into the message icon and quickly typed out a message.
Cy, don't react to this. I want you to continue on as if you're checking something out. I didn't want to draw attention to you but it looked to me like something was bugging you. Are you alright? You don't have to reply, just a sign for yes or no would suffice. I was just curious if there was and if there is if I can help at all.
Myrddin sent the message as Dumah spoke about their possible destination. "...Castle? It's just past the Windsor Greatwood, so we should have a bit of a travel. Besides, on our way there, we will be likely to encounter some enemies. These will serve well in granting a small amount of EXP to the low leveled players. As such, by the time we reach our destination of the Windsor Castle, they shall have gained a few levels." He spoke with his hands behind his back to which Myrddin smirked and thought it looked a bit authoritative. Which gave birth to a thought about how opposite that was from his Basic Training Instructors were.
"I honestly don't mind where we go, Boss. I haven't been many places yet so pretty much anywhere would be an adventure." Myrddin stated, with his ballot cast he waited to see some sort of reaction from Cy.

The Fox Tail nodded to Dumah plan before noticing the time. 8:18 PM, he hasn’t notice how the time has passes. Looking around the streets, it filled with the dimmed light of the streets candles and the magical glow of light as some of the adventurers still roam the streets, some are yawning as they passed, others eyes are brightly lit as if it’s the first time they see the beauty of the city at night. Surely they are not going tonight?
“Dumah,” The Fox Tail mentions the dark haired half-alv. “I think it’s best if we start early…,” The Fox Tail suddenly let out a yawn, lifting his hands to cover his mouth, the Fox Tail blushed. “Sorry,” Shaking his head and blinking his eyes a few times the orange Fox Tail continued. “Sorry again, how about we do it early in the morning? That way, we’ll be filled with energy and there will be no ambushed. It’ll be really hard to see in the dark, even if you have lights.” Folding his hands behind him, “And I would think light would just attract more enemies than we could handle.”
Bending his back outwards to stretch himself, the Fox Tail let out a gasp. The night sky was filled with stars, so many than those in the real world. He stayed like that, body bend to a curve before falling down to the floor with an “Oof!” Letting a laugh out, the Fox Tail sits up but his head still facing to the night sky. “Have you guys ever notice this many stars before?” Arms stretch up, “It’s like glitter being poured down everywhere.” ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- 276 | Word Count

Dumah looked to Mokusu with a bit of surprise in his voice and expression. "What? But, it's only eight at night! Surely you can not be so tired as to be ready to fall into a slumber!" It was quite evident that the dark haired half-Alv himself was full of energy, as was the young half-Alv sorceress beside him. Dumah knelt down to Alette and put his hands on her shoulders, emphasizing her energy a little. "Besides, this child was so excited to accompany us on an adventure tonight! How could you say no?" It was a bit difficult to tell whether Dumah was so adamant about going tonight for Alette's sake or his own lust for adventure. Regardless of his reasoning, Alette looked at Mokusu with begging eyes, strengthened by Dumah's own begging stare. Both looked absolutely adorable, and their looks complemented each other well.
Alette spoke up, a bit of false sorrow in her tone. "I-I've always wanted to travel through a forest at night, and go camping, and sleep under the stars... I-I never got to do any of that when I was growing up... My family grew up so poor, we could never afford a camping trip or anything more fancy than a full meal..." Alette sniffled, her eyes sparkling with fabricated tears.

“Dumah,” Mokusu mentions the dark haired half-alv. “I think it’s best if we start early…,” The Fox Tail yawned suddenly, his hands lifted to cover his mouth as he blushed. “Sorry,” He shook his head and blinked back a few tears. “Sorry again, how about we do it early in the morning? That way, we’ll be filled with energy and there will be no ambush. It’ll be really hard to see in the dark, even if you have lights.” He folded his arms behind him as he continued, “And I would think light would just attract more enemies than we could handle.”
The Party Leader turned to Mokusu, surprise evident in his voice. "What? But, it's only eight at night! Surely you can not be so tired as to be ready to fall into a slumber!" It was quite evident that the dark haired half-Alv himself was still rather vigorous, the wee-one included. Dumah knelt down to Alette, his hands on her shoulders, which emphasized her energy a little. "Besides, this child was so excited to accompany us on an adventure tonight! How could you say no?"
Myrddin watched their exchange and kept his eye on Alette; the wee-sorceress spoke with sorrow in her voice about how she always wanted to go camping and sleep in the forest at night. She went on about how her family was so destitute that they could only afford food. All the while tears started to form in the pits of her eyes. Had the enchanter not grown up with two younger sibling he might have completely believed the tears. Her story may have been true, but her tears seemed a bit too...sudden to him to be real. Of course Myrddin wouldn't call her out in a group, that might wound her, but he would talk with her about it in the future.
"I think Mokusu has a point." He pipped in, his hand slightly raised to catch attention. "While I don't particularly mind traveling at night, most of us don't know the lay of the land so nighttime travel would be rather risky." His hand lowered down and the enchanter noticed how he didn't have his note pad in his hands. He glanced around for it as he continued. "Even with multiple high leveled characters. And you yourself said it would take some time for us to reach the castle. And I don't know about you guys but-" He paused as he spotted his notepad, "Aha, there you are." He leaned over, one of his feet came off the ground slightly as he grabbed the pad and placed it back into his inventory. "but I do some of my best sleeping at night. Day time sleeping, especially in a forest, is difficult. For me anyhow." He finished as he turned to face Dumah and Alette. "And who knows how far this child has traveled before finding us today?" Myrddin gave Dumah and Alette a playful wink.
Off to the side Myrddin heard an “Oof!”. Apparently, Mokusu had fallen to the ground. The fox tail laughed as he sat up, his attention glued to the night sky. “Have you guys ever notice this many stars before?” He asked as he outstretched his arms, “It’s like glitter being poured down everywhere.”
"Just so long as this glitter doesn't make me look like I was smothered by a strip club I'm fine with that." Myrddin chuckled. "Though, I don't know what the night sky looked like before the Catastrophe so I don't really have anything to compare it to." He said and tilted his head toward the sky. It was still quite amazing, almost like he was back in the real world. "But you definitely didn't see the stars like this back there." He thought aloud.

Regina would watch them, gathering around, some making an effort to come together and actually try and bond, whilst others seemingly only spoke when they needed to. Some came off as strict loners perhaps trying this whole 'party thing' out of loneliness? Or just trying to get to higher levels quicker or something else entirely? She could never tell with strangers. And that is what they all were, strangers. How could she, or they for that matter, depend on each other, they knew next to nothing about one another, yet they were supposed to trust everyone to put their thankfully not mortal, lives on the line on someone who probably never saw combat that wasn't behind a screen. She knew this was probably going to be trouble, but she did have to level up, she did have to get better and she had to prove that not only was she one the better looking Druids, but she'd be one of the more competent ones as well! Still, the images of her standing amongst people running around aimlessly, like chickens with their heads cut off kept creeping into her head.
She would wait, wait till they had done going through all the apparent skills of what everyone had, being a Scholar she was able to see that stuff anyways, but she was not going to come right out and say something stupid like how she was watching from a distance and scanning them over, like some sort of stalker peeping through the bushes. So she cleared her throat, coming up beside Myrddin, the appointed leader of the support group. "Well, currently I have a single target HoT and another that heals double if someone has a HoT on them with the secondary effect of lowering the poison status affect's duration by about five second, also I have a single target to multi-target snare depending on how close they all are. Also I am a Scholar, my innate ability lets me see not only everything that you people can see, but I can also see their weaknesses and a brief summary of their known abilities/moves." She says and if she had glasses, this would be the time she'd 'adjust' them. She would look around for a second before moving a hand up to rest her chin in her palm, looking to everyone.
She would look to the summoner, who suggested that they call it off till the morning, which wasn't a bad idea, it would give them at least a chance to get to know one another, besides it would be bad if someone messed up due to fatigue. She would hear Myrddin agree with the Fox-Tail's suggestion, even though Dumah was raring to go. She would clear her throat, trying to gain their brief attention "I concur. Though I too am more than willing to go, I do think it would be a bit... foolhardy to march off with some of our party already getting drowsy. Besides, this would give us all a great chance to get to know one another a bit better, that is part of the partying experience as well, partying with random people who you hope will turn into friends." She smiled to Dumah and then the rest of them. She would then look around for a second, wonder, where they would in fact sleep at.
"Speaking of which...where would we all sleep at? Tents? An Inn? Perhaps something else?" She looked to everyone, hoping someone might have a suggestion. She then would look up to the stars and smiles "I wonder if they have the same constellations as the real world..."

Dumah quickly and hurriedly covers Alette's ears as Myrddin mentioned a strip club, shooting a glare at him. Alette, in response, had a confused expression on her face, speaking curiously. "What's a 'strip club...?'"
Dumah sighed and relented to the seemingly common opinion of the members of his party. "Very well, you are right. We should rest to ensure we are not exhausted in the midst of a battle... I suppose we should head to an inn or tavern? We should be able to afford rooms. Does anyone know how many people the largest room could accommodate? I'd presume we should have the genders of our members in separate rooms - men in one room, women in the other. As I mentioned, it is a bit early still, so we could pass a bit of time with a round of drinks?" Dumah smiled to the entire party. "Drinks are on me tonight!" He smiled and threw his left fist in the air, his right hand on his waist, trying to rouse his party a bit in excitement for the pre-party party.

Not reacting to the incoming message was hard, eyes shooting open for a moment as the message came through. He sighed softly, before respondings calmly, trying to keep his composure through everything. Just a lot more people than I had expected to show up. Before looking back to the discussion as if nothing had been going on at all. He'd sort of dozed off with the majority of it since it was getting to the point he could barely keep up with all the talking. All he knew was this: Punch first, ask questions later. Actually, that was pretty much how he knew to handle every fight, just punch it a lot until you gained the Experience and gold from the kill... He came back to the discussion related to drinks and taking time to relax before heading to the dungeon. This just sort of made him feel more akward than prepared... It was already a deal more people than he had hoped to adventure with, but being made to spend time with them beforehand? Was it too late to turn tail and flee without making a scene? Probably... He was a freaking mountain, after all... |

Myrddin heard someone clear their throat as they moved to his side. To his surprise it was the girl that surprised him earlier. "Well, currently I have a single target HoT and another that heals double if someone has a HoT on them with the secondary effect of lowering the poison status affect's duration by about five second, also I have a single target to multi-target snare depending on how close they all are." She said, which from what she said meant she could possibly be the primary healer. "Also I am a Scholar, my innate ability lets me see not only everything that you people can see, but I can also see their weaknesses and a brief summary of their known abilities/moves." She added which peaked Myrddin's interest.
The enchanter watched the floral garbed young woman as she cradled her head gently in her palm as she watched everyone. She remained silent until he and Mokusu finished voicing their opinions. It was apparently her turn as she pipped in and voiced her two-cents on the topic. Myrddin couldn't help but smirk as she mentioned that the party should become more familiar with one another. He too had thought about that but decided to send Dumah's harmless guilt trip back at him.
With a swiped his finger at the air and looked at the flower-clad woman. Regina, full he-stop it. Ah, she's a druid too. Okay, well that makes more sense as to her apparel choice. Myrddin thought and closed his windows whilst he listened as Dumah admitted defeat for the party's nightly departure. "Looks like we convinced him." He chuckled and turned his head till Cy was in his peripheral.
"Very well, you are right." Dumah said defeated by his own party. "We should rest to ensure we are not exhausted in the midst of a battle... I suppose we should head to an inn or tavern? We should be able to afford rooms. Does anyone know how many people the largest room could accommodate? I'd presume we should have the genders of our members in separate rooms - men in one room, women in the other. As I mentioned, it is a bit early still, so we could pass a bit of time with a round of drinks?" Dumah flashed a hearty smile to his party. "Drinks are on me tonight!"
As if it were the magic words, Myrddin jerked his head back toward Dumah. "Promise?" He inquired, his lips parted into a wolfish smile. His pale teeth were a bright contrast to his dark skin. "Well there is no way better to get to know someone than to share a refreshing pint with them. As for the inn and tavern question; I'm not sure. Honestly I haven't stayed in the inns much but we can always check when we get that drink." He said, his wolfish smile still present. "What do you all say? Are you in?" He asked, his eyes passed from member to member. His left hand fingers drummed out the beat for Chumbawumba's Tubthumpin' when a noise caught his attention. He quickly recognized it as the IM message notification. Once his menu was open he navigated to the messages and selected Cy's reply.
Just a lot more people than I had expected to show up. Myrddin gave a slight nod and closed the menu for now.
"Well then, how about we get a move on? Does anyone have any preferences as to the place?" ________________________________________________ Word count: 580
