Once the meeting had finished and everygone got outside she was overcome with a sense of regret. Her small stature was how she was going to stay alive here tonight yet the snow made it harder for her to dodge incoming attacks. A movement slow was a rather nasty thing and it was something she had not thought about before this point. Trudging through the snow behind Pen, Lulu seemed to be in deep thought about what they were going to do. In reality she was simply thinking about how much she hated the biting cold of the enviroment they were now in. Lucky for her she worse an oversized coat, yet it was not made of very thick material so she was not really that warm at all. "By the gods I hate snow.." she muttered under her breath as she withdrew her hands entirely into the oversized sleeves of her clothing. Once this was all over she would be more than happy to sit in Londinium until the world decided to have a nice little thaw that was for damn sure.
Eventually she would return back to the reality of things when she heard Saskia's voice over the sounds of the forest nightlife. She was trying to contact someone, but who was this Cortana she spoke of? Honestly she had no idea how so few of them were going to lay seige to this lighthouse. Perhaps that was part of the plan then, they were going to link up with some other members of the academy. It made the most sense considered that she was a low level and not entirely useful to the three people here who were actually over level ten. With that in mind she became quite reassured about all of this. While she was never one to turn down a quest, especially when doing what was right, she didn't want to walk into one where she was useless either. The other thing of note as she eavesdropped was the fact that Saskia didn't seem too pleased with the reply she recieved judging from the expression on her face. She looked as though something awful might have happened.
At first she was going to ask about that but then she decided that the head mistress would share if it was something they needed to know. Still she couldn't help but be curious about it as was her nature. Looking back down to the ground she pondered what sort of reinforcements they might have waiting for them at the finish line. However that line of thought would not last long as once more her voice broke through the night air. 'Bailin do you have eyes on.' came the voice of their guild mistress which caused her to look up and follow their line of sight. It was hard to make out what they were looking at- indeed all she could see were blurry shapes in the distance. Every instinct in her told her that this was not a good thing however and so her hand rest it's self upon the hilt of her right katana cautiously.
Moments from walking face first into them Saskia raised her hand and then balled it into a fist. Luckily Lulu had played enough games to understand this reference so she did not screw this up for them. The monsters aggroed by sound then, was that it? That was the only other thing she could think of in this situation and why she must have called their march to a halt. Taking this time to mentally prepare herself for the fight that was inevitably going to come she drew a deep breath and closed her eyes to clear out the rest of the world from her mind. She would not move until she heard the order or the sound of combat reached her ears and prompted a reaction from the samurai. Instead she gathered her courage for the fight she knew was to come.
Back in the real world she could have never fought anything like; or at all. She was so scared of confrontation there, at least in the physical sense. Every time someone threatened her back then she ran. She was a coward in the other world- one who simply sat in their room and wished the world away. Here she could change that for good, she could be someone else- anyone else. Lulu only prayed that her resolve was enough to keep her going and that should she be about to die she could face it with courage. In front of these other tanks, her guildmates, she could not show any sign of weakness or else they could never trust her. How could you use a tank you knew was too afraid to get the job done?
Instinctively she took a step back which placed her behind Pen who was much bigger than she was. It was a tactical move she told herself as she checked on her equipment with compulsive behavior. Everything had to be good or else she could not willingly engage in any sort of combat directly. Just then the sound of a snapping branch reached her ears as they all looked for the source. Unfortunately so too did the snatchers before them who had definitely heard the poor unfortunate soul who decided to spring their trap. Suddenly in a flurry of snow the enemy would come exploding from their ambush with a blood thurst they would all most likely be unprepared for. She only hoped that the gun Bailin had brought was as useful as any other gun she had seen in films.
Once Saskia charged she would wait for Pen to do the same. If they could establish aggro then she could use her damaging abilities freely to assist them in withering the enemy down. She had to be careful in this fight not to draw aggro or that would be the end of her fore sure. Checking the UI she noticed that all of the monsters were at least five levels over her which filled her with a sense of dread. When she said she wanted to fight stronger monsters she didn't really mean that she wanted to suicide herself into them. She supposed that Sas might have heard her say that in the great woods which made her laugh. For now she would hang back and watch the battlefield looking for her chance to slip in. Besides, there was suddenly a new level one player on the field and it was best to keep an eye on her. WC - 1098

Each hit of his body against the wall made blood spill delicately on the ground dripping from his chin. He was actually almost throwing up blood. What had he done to deserve such treatment ? He did not know. They had come from nowhere and had decided to use him for fun. He was a doll unable to move even his pinky. He couldn't speak and his red eyes were almost shut under the intense pain he had just felt. His head crashed on the wall as his back was first to cushion the crash. He felt his whole skull ring under the hit against the wall. His vision was completely blurry but he could see that sadistic look upon the man's face. His face was hidden but he could imagine that smile. His red eyes just like Mitsu pierced through his soul inflicting much more pain than he could bare. That look made his body freeze and his soul run loose. They just weren't on the same level. They were different. He was on a completely different level then the kid and it was frustrating to him. Mitsu's dark red eyes almost sunk into darkness as the fire which was normally in them was fainting away. His bones felt like they were melting and crushing in each other on each hit he received. It was the first extreme painful physical situation he had been in since the game had started. And it was a horrible feeling. Pain... Can you feel it ? I sure can... If you weren't weak, you wouldn't have been beaten up you prick... Because of you we lost, we failed and we're lying on the ground again. Blood dripping, waves of pain destroying his body. What just happened ? He went from a calm moment where he touched the tips of the woman's finger, into being crashed against a wall and thrown into a dumpster. His eyes half opened looked at to the sky. It was snowing, snowflakes gently cascaded onto his face. He was there, lying in the dumpster on garbage. He was meaningless and had been unable to do anything to prevent them from taking the woman. He didn't even understand what had just happened. They appeared, beat the shit out of him and left. Taking to woman without doing any harm to her. Shit...He could barely move, he had been crushed against the wall a total of 3 times and then thrown into that dumpster. You could call that a sweet evening. He trembled in pain as is body was full of scratches, cuts and bruises. His entire body was sore and he felt like his back had been crushed by an entire building falling on him. His left hand clenched the edge of the dumpster as he tried pulling himself out of it slowly and painfully. His tormented mind was still at the corrupted state and his was damped in cold and shivering like someone without any clothes out with a temperature of -15° F. If only you listened to me... Protecting others the way you are will fail. You are nothing and you will be dismissed when you'll become useless to your so called "Friends".His hands grasp his face and skull pressuring it as it make the voices stop. He shook back and forth as a rocking chair in his own madness. He was indeed useless and miserable. He didn't do much and couldn't at all help anyone. He had to get stronger but that would just take time. If you want strength learn how to use your corruption. Let it flow within you !Squeezing his face digging his finger deep in his skin as to take off an mask that he didn't have. It was who he was and it wasn't going for the best. The only thing he could do was to find that girl again, and thank her for what she had done. It wasn't a lot but it was for him. She tried to help her, and never someone had tried doing so... With both hands clenched on the edge of the dumpster he pulled himself up tiredly. What are you going to do ?! Try and save her ? You can't even save yourself ! He manage to get his body up to the edge and with a lack of strength slipped on the underside falling on the stone floor on his back. The spike of pain was extreme and he coughed violently as if he was going to choke. His body had relapsed in being engulfed by his own dark aura surrounded by random spikes reaching out at random moments. It was as if his aura was unstable just following the flow of his mind. The smell of his own blood made him urge to want to get more. A sadistic smile slipped on the boy's lips as he crawled to his knees, suffering. Right... You can understand ! Interesting. His arms and hands were shivering as someone out of drugs. He got to his feet, the whole process taking him about 30 minutes or so. He was limping, dragging his body all the way out of the alley way. His hands trying to keep his body from falling done, using both of them to keep contact with the left and right wall of the alley. His body wouldn't stand still. His clothes were roughly shred into pieces and parts of his skin was showing. One could see the long red "snake" mark he had on his body show every so and then. His breath was heavy and his vision still blurry as if he had received too much light all of a sudden. The streets were empty and no one seemed to have heard the violence in the alley. Every time his hands touched the wall, dark aura spread around his hand onto the object he was touching, as if he was covered in a dark smoke. This hurts...He finally exited the alley and almost collapsed to the ground but his right hand retained his body from doing so clenching to the corner of the street with the last bit of strength he had to keep still. The moon illuminated his gaze and it went from left to right as to scan the zone. He didn't see much under all the commotion he had endured but he could distinct people and objects. He started wandering in the streets trying to find help, he was in the right direction that those people had taken earlier to escape with the girl... Every step felt like breaking bones, grinning his teeth as his eyes twitched as he suffered for every step he toke. He knew his spells would add corruption upon him and it wasn't the moment to do that. He decided to stay just as he was and endure it a bit longer. He would heal up when the corruption would ware off. There he was, wandering, alone, without anyone to help him. He was pitiful he looked like nothing. His arms were swinging along with every single step as a zombie walking towards food. Down deep in his heart, he wanted blood. He wanted to kill, his face showed that. He bit his lips to blood sucking on them kindly, enjoying his own blood it was warm, warm and tasty. What was he becoming? Guardian - Bodyguard - Artisan ____________________________________________________
Pen shifted her shoulders underneath the thick cloak she had draped around her. Its white color blended into the backdrop scenery that surrounded the party. Snow, the offspring of Winter had come to the land. She brought the cloak in tight, using her right hand to grip the two seams together. Doing this brought the natural gap of the heavy cloth closed and allowing for the insulated fur-lined garment to increase the chance it could warm her. The seams of the cloak were dyed a light blue, almost baby blue color. Pen didn't know how to really feel about the color choice of the cloak but in the frigid embrace of winter, the color ended up weighty little on her mind. Trails of small clouds of fog formed as her warm breath met with the cold air. The snow fall was light and gave the [Windsor Greatwood] a very hallmark look to it. The guardian marveled at how much the scenery looked like how she envisioned Narnia to be.
The soft sounds of the party's feet siding through the snow filled the air as most opted to remain quite, using their breath to warm their numb fingers. Pen fluttered the flakes of frost from her eyelashes, using her cloaked shoulders to brush the stubborn frost from her eyes. Someone finally spoke, an irritated tone of voice escaping their lips. It was the Samurai, Luiniel, whom apparently carried disdain for the white fluff they were traveling through. Pen turned to look the young samurai over; her compact body was wrapped in a coat a few sizes too large for her. From the looks of her shivering, it wasn't doing the one job it had, properly. The guardian felt a bit sorry for the lass, whom felt so miserable by winter's frigid kiss. She thought about about passing the cloak she had off to the ice-pop but her selfishness was running strong in the face of the cold. However, her selfishness couldn't stop the wave of worry that slammed against her.
Pen turned to look at Saskia, she had just finished attempting to contact Cortana. Apparently it didn't go through. Again. Her heightened empathy was allowing Saskia's worry to affect her. She wanted to clasp her hand on the pink haired woman's shoulder and tell her everything would be okay, but the grim look on her face looked as if it gave off a disinterest in physical reassurance. Opting to let her have her space, Pen returned her gaze forward as their leader crouched and moved ahead of them. She came to a stop behind the trunk of a tall oak. She spoke to Bailin, whom executed a quick sweep with his rifle before waving them onward. Not a moment later Saskia threw up her arm, her fingers were curled rightly into her palm. The symbol was one they knew, they had been informed before they ventured into the forest of the different hand signs they they would use. The Guild Master then exchanged a look with Pen, one that meant for her to protect Luiniel as had already been decided. Pen nodded and made moved to stay just ahead of the fox tail. However, she stumbled forward as her foot collided with something hard that was buried in the snow. Inhaling a sharp gasp of air, her arms pen wheeled as she came down face first into the snow, her shield smacking loudly into a large partially covered stone. The sound emanated dully due to her sword's scabbard being where it was on the back of the shield. Instead of a loud metallic clash against rock, a hard sound that resembled a snap, rang forth.
The following moments seemed to roll by in a muffled haze as she dug her body out of the snow. One she was on her hands and knees the guardian looked up, her emerald eyes watched as Saskia drew her blade and charged into battle. The position Pen was currently at gave her no line of sight on the enemy the pink haired woman went to engage. Bailin announced something about the number of their enemies, ending with a stab of grim humor. With haste, Pen climbed to her feet, throwing open her cloak and ripping her sword from its scabbard that sat between her shield and the sling her arm was in. She noticed Luiniel was still behind her, she looked back and could feel the dread from her. "Hey, relax. Just stay smart and close to me and you'll be fine, Half-Pint." She said, as a smile split her hardened lips. The emerald shine of her eyes melted away for the bright glow of solid gold. Her red hair grew into an unfastidious state, her canine-like ears spawning forth from its concealment. Pen's muscles bulged till they were lightly pressing against the confines of her under leveled plate mail armor.
"We're gonna move in. Pinky is gonna try and hold aggro, which means we have her flank. You ready?" Pen hoped that by staying near the low leveled samurai that she could ease her worry and doubts. If Luiniel could push those from her mind she'd do fine. Just so long as she fought smart. "Let's move. Bailin, we're advancing!" Pen stated as she avoided the spot from earlier, letting her body move on auto pilot around the dense ticket of tree blocking her vision of Saskia. With her shield in front of her, she leveled the flat of her blade on the top right corner of her thick metal life saver. She advanced cautiously, her golden eyes drawing in the details of the battlefield. Saskia was a few feet from the enemy now. Her flurry of cotton candy waving in the cold wind as she closed the distance. Her body moved in effortless efficiency, despite the thick layer of snow beneath her greaves. Pen waited untill her fellow guardian landed her first strike to engage. "Once she pulls aggro..." she told herself, feeling a bit uncomfortable that her friend was the center of their attack focus.

Watching her comrades rush into the fray, Tessia took the opportunity to circle widely around too the left side of the conflict. She had to act fast if her tactics were too work here. Luck was with her as she did posses a fire type weapon, capable of causing a lot of damage in just one swing against the plant creatures. Making her way along slowly under the frost covered brush, she watched the furthest Nepent Snatcher waggle about trying to sense enemies. she had hunted these before and was able to gauge just were the detection range of these things was. Just like Soil Golems, they detected seismic activity if there was any close too them. Drawing out her bow she would have to act fast and hit and run as many as possible. Even if she didn't outright kill them.
Eyeing the level 10 mark she nodded and notched a arrow just as the furthest Nepent began to waggle back too it's friends. Firing a calculated ten meters from the Nepent, she was rewarded by the thing immediately turning and moving to were the arrow stuck a large rock. A gentle smile on her lips as she fired again and further this time, glad that this one was distracted enough to part from the pack. Another good thing about enemy types like these is that they were out for themselves. It made it a lot easier to separate them and pick them off one by one. As the thing waddled after the second arrow, she slipped her ax off her back and activated Fatal Ambush feeling time slow around her senses. Her large mana pool made it easy for her to use one of her best striking methods in succession, but only after about four times before she could hit 25% or so mana.
This one would be the first to die. She relaxed and breathed so slowly she could even feel her breath escape as a hot wisp of air as it quickly vanished. Just as the Nepent found were the arrow struck, a good 20 meters from it's gang, Tessia felt the mental ping in her mind as Ambush was ready. Feeling her muscles take over she burst out of cover, her white winter cowl flowing after her and her ax held high over her head. Practically sailing at the creature her Blackfire two handed Battle Ax drove into the Nepent, spewing searing hot embers and ash all over it. Driving her shoulder behind the strike, Tessia practically caused the plant to become split in two. It had no time to even make a sound as all that was left was bits of ash everywhere and a large scorch mark in the snow covered earth.
Rolling back into the cover of the trees, she nodded and ceased all movement, allowing Silent Move to take over. Listening as her head gave a slight throb from losing the mana from her strike. Sending a telepath to her allies she stated "One Nepent down. I will attempt to lure another. Remember, they respond to sounds close too them just as much as your own." With that, she sheathed her ax again and slipped next too the spot were her bow was and took it up again. Moving under cover of the brush and snow, she watched for another opportunity to strike. She had just met these people earlier and didn't intend on allowing any of them to die. Spotting the far off Crag Cow, Tessia grimaced and used her Tracker ability Eagle Track to highlight the Cow so she could keep a eye on it. "Be safe everyone, I have my Eagle Track on the Cow just in case it tries anything. Best of luck too you." she sent. With that, she scooted along under her white cowl slowly and methodically hunting the next Nepent.

All right Strife buddy, let's recap. You've trudged through this bloody freezing snow while wearing your stupid metal armor, which is honestly not all that warm. You've had to do this after listening to some inane battle strategies that you are probably going to fail at so hard you'll get everyone killed. You're planning to go fight players superior in skill and quite possibly level, not to mention intellect, which means another trip to the cathedral. And you are attempting this while speaking like an absolute bloody twit that annoys literally every sentient being within a five kilometre radius of you. I mean honestly, do you expect to do anything but die? Because let me tell you buddy, you are way to pathetic to do anything else.
Strife wished he would stop thinking these terrible thing. He had agents of evil to slay, adventuring to do, and so forth. He trudged forward through the cold and unforgiving snow as he banished such musings from his head and focused on the task ahead. Step after step after step after step. His metal boots sloshed into the snow as he moved, creating a sound Strife had not heard before. There was not much talk as the party walked through the forest, and what little there was Strife kept out of. He had more important things on his mind, such as how he was going to handle combat in this world. He hadn't much experience in said combat, and so he might be caught unawares if it broke out suddenly. He had his shield at the ready, and kept in front of him as he continued onward through the woods.
It all happened so fast that Strife could barely process what had happened. Combat had broken out against a group of Nepent Snatchers, with some higher leveled forces some ways away. Congrats, buddy, you won't be killed by fish. You get to be killed by plants! Isn't that so much better? Totally worth coming all this way, don'r you think? Strife cursed under his breath and raised his buckler and flail. "Well, my friends! This is a fine day for doing a little bit of gardening, don't you think?" He ran as quickly as he could in his armor, which was honestly not that fast, and prepared his Riot Blade skill. Once he reached the cluster of Nepent Snatchers, he utilized his skill, sweeping in a wide frontal arc in order to hit the three closest to him.
He had struck wide with his flail, he crouched and activated Riot Shield, increasing his shield's size to that of a guardian's. He was now crouching beneath his massive shield, preparing to block the incoming attacks. Oh, real clever, genius. Go right up to the enemy, annoy them, and then STAY RIGHT THERE. Yeah, that is totally going to work out. As soon as those snatchers get past your shield, it's the cathedral for you buddy. I bet your Riot Blade didn't even do much damage, you wimp! The voice, annoying as it was, had a point, considering that Riot Blade was just a basic attack, it couldn't have done too much damage. But the real purpose of the Riot Blade skill was the aggro the targets it hit, such as the three Nepent Snatchers he had just struck. He just had to tough it out.

| DON'T GET IN MY WAY! Spade continued to look out for any threats that may reveal themselves to as he walked along with Valentine, he was putting more effort than needed in to being the look out. Lucky for him his mana barely had a dent in it , he counted himself lucky that his toggle skills did not constantly consume his mana or he and Valentine will be in trouble if anyone hostile shows ups. Like this an hour passed and Spade’s concentration was beginning to wane, he had a hard time focusing on the road ahead of him, through his strained vision though he was able to see a village the had passed on the way to the lighthouse, this sight caused Spade’s tired mind to jump to life once more as he was nearing his destination. He turned to see Valentine’s reaction but to his surprise he had no sight of her, the werecat looked around his surroundings this time not for a enemy but for the small naive blond girl that was his traveling companion for a short time. The first thing that crossed Spade’s mind was that she left to find someone else that will be more entertaining to travel with as Spade does not make the best conversationalist, his ears along with his head were dropped in slight depression thanks to his negative thoughts but only for a moment as he was nearing the village Spade felt a large force collide with his left shoulder knocking him off balance and causing him to fall on his butt. With fire in his emerald eyes he scrambled to his feet and turned to handle the people that could not watch where their going violently but they were gone as fast as they came, the thought of his companion being gone completely left his mind as he was now in a sour mood thanks to being bumped. He angrily stomped towards the village entrance and right through it, he felt a slight tug on his shoulder hairs, not used to this feeling his temper flared up and he turned with a raised fist ready to deck an person that would give him the wrong look. In the path of his raised fist was a lander dressed up in the gear of a guard, he was trembling in fear due to Spade’s visage of anger. Spade’s eyes spoke for him in volumes so he did not have to speak, the guard swallowed his spit and gathered his courage to sepak to the angry werecat, “ S-s-s-state your business please!” he yelled out. Spade was slightly impressed that the guard was able to get what he wanted to say out under the full brunt of his malice but only slightly, Spade once more began to give off the feeling that he wanted to kill the lander in an attempt to force him to back down. The guard trembled even more from the fear that this being that cannot stay dead is willing to kill something that dies only once, neither he or Spade knew why but he was able to stand his ground once more but he is using his halberd to stand, just as Spade was about to knock the man unconscious just to avoid too much trouble he heard a “ WHAT’S GOING ON HERE!!!” from behind him as what looked like the rest of the guards in this small village came to see why their fellow member was in distress. They took one look at Spade and they all got in a battle stance, this came off as both a challenge and an oddity to Spade as he was unsure why simple miscommunication would warrant the entire authoritarian force. He really did not care as to why they were doing so but he was ready to kill them simply for raising their weapons at him, he was about to prepare his skill that increases his offensive capabilities until another man called out while running from a official looking building “ Stop this madness!” in a attempt to defuse the situation. It worked for the guards but Spade was already about to perform his preparations, the newcomer was ware of this immediately and he dropped to his knees to stop before they cause more of a scene. This was a shock to the already agitated werecat, he stopped before he truly began his rampage. He looked around and saw that on the players face were looks of contempt at the so easily angered werecat and on the landers face looks of absolute fear. This would not go well if he ever needed something from the town if he continued his actions and even worse he hated being looked down on by the other players. He calmed down his temper and he only slightly relaxed, the man who appeared to be the head of the guard raised his head and looked at Spade with a look of apology, “ I’m sorry there has been kidnappings here recently so everyone is on edge, can you please forgive this fools for attempting to intimidate you?” Spade understood what it means to hold authority over the people and that meant at no point can one show weakness, he understood their actions but he still held great distrust for them as they were technically policemen. Spade only nodded and turned to walk through the crowd that was now dispersing still visible thanks to his size and his color. Spade’s next step would have been to sit in the back alleys until he meets up with the others, he was walking the back alleys taking note of places he can hide without having to see any type of guards or their uniforms. He continued to walk until he he something hit a trash can from behind him, he turned to see a small black figure running out of his sight. He then remembered that he ran in to another figure that he did not see on his way to the village, he then took note of how both Valentine is missing and the guard told him about the recent kidnappings, this realization hit Spade like a bat to the back of his head as his mind began to slowly but surely enter to his panic state. His heart quickened and he looked around desperately for Valentine, his search took him to the main street where the road led to every important and dark spot in the city. He didn't have to look long because he saw a white haired man limping right there on the main road he became an immediate prime suspect since the aura this man was giving was full of darkness, he didn't know much about the heretic class but he knew that they can corrupt either themselves or their targets almost indefinitely outing himself as a heretic, without hesitation Spade engaged Iron Body, and took long strides towards the man who's day is about to get much worse. He extended his metallic hand and reached from behind and grabbed his unfortunate victim by the front of his neck and using his enhanced strength he slammed the man on his back and pinning him to the ground still gripping his neck. " WHERE IS SHE?!?!?" he yelled out with a look of anger and desperation in his eyes, Spade would have tried to be easier but he can't seem to calm down, he was beginning to draw the attention of the few people in the buildings. They walked out from their own business to see a metal adventurer assaulting a innocent person for on reason, looks of fear and anger were present on their faces, in the small crowds of the people one of them ran off to get the guards so Spade did not have long until he would be forced to either kill the man or worse yet kill the lander guards. He slowly squeezed his neck leaving him barely enough to breathe and talk, "HURRY UP!!!"Word Count:[1328] Tags: Mitsuru Kirishima, Valentine |

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ Sword clutched tight against her hip with a firm grip upon her shield she stampeded towards the herd passing up trees with broken branches and her shimmering iron greaves trudged through the snow. She could feel the warmth of her armor intensify as she sweated from within. The heavy exhalation of a warriors breath dispersed from her lips as her cobalt blue eyes locked on her target. They swirled into a vivacious sensation of gold as they became corrupted with bloodlust. The crack of Bailin’s gunshot was just enough to reignite the adrenaline that rushed through her veins. She could feel it. The tempo of intense combat. The area around them soon folded into an infernal warzone.
She know she needed to do it. To endure the bloody horrors of combat. To manipulate the terrain and maneuver around the landscape quickly and seize her opponent. Her feet crunched through the snow roughly and her eyes watch an Nepent Snatcher recoil back as it was shot. It was excellent. They had been ambushed, but managed to maintain the preemptive strike. The rest now rest upon keen tactical decisions. Her face scrunched up in rage as she encroached upon her adversary. A level ten [Nepent Snatcher B]. The plants were very cunning, able to use their acidic spit from a distance to attack her and her allies.
Bailin let out a large shouted alerting her to the presence of even larger adversaries in the distance. The thought did not bode well with Saskia as she never before encountered some of the foe he had called out and didn’t know what to expect. Still she focused her attention on what lie in front of her, her fear of losing her bearing amongst the chaos.
Her feet began to shift in the snow as she traversed into a wide arc to the right as Strife headed into the frey head on. He was bold as he was tenacious as Saskia appreciated his courage. With valiant stride she watched as he mocked the plants and activated his [Riot Blade] skill effectively engaging three of them. . As she got closer in range she activated [Knight’s Heart] which increased her agility and also heightened the level of agggro she would draw as a swirling red circular aura engulfed the bottom of her feet. She did so to offer him some relief. She was glad that he could engage multiple enemies, but an onslaught from all three would surely end in a shortlived massacre.
Though the mobs took minimal damage, It did influence the flow of combat immensely sense the damage was dispersed amongst three of them. Flows of acidic spit that darted like green lava smashed against her armor as steam emitted from the lower right portion of her greaves. The second ball of the emerald plague flew against her right shoulder as her shoulderpad began boiling lightly, the outer shell of it slowly beginning to corrode on the top layer. It pushed her shoulder back, but she pressed onward releasing a loud war cry as she raised her steel shield upward to guard her chest from the last spitball of plasmic green goo that splattered upon it, making the entire surface of the center begin to steam.
As soon as she got within range, she assaulted the flowery plant, by using her newly acquired sword skill [Sword Rain Flurry] as he through six powerful thrusts from the cover of her shield. Fortunately, her level was of a good portion higher than her foe as her sword and armor were subpar at best. The best line of defense she held was a Mana Liner Shield, but even that had it’s limits. The sword pierced the veil of the beast, lowering it’s health by a decent chunk. Almost cutting it in half. She began to singe with regret as she underestimated the need for better gear. It was a foolish mistake to make, but somehow she would find a way to manage. She began to contemplate various options, when out of the corner of her eye.
She saw the [Nepent Snatcher A] that was headed towards Bailin and trying to fire acidic spitballs was struck by what seemed to be a volley of arrows, though they came from separate angles. Two women archers appeared, though only one of them struck Saskia with any familiarity. The other however, was a stranger, a friend of Tessia’s perhaps? No, the elf seemed unaffiliated with them at all and was simply another adventurer joining into the fray. Her blows seemed slightly stronger than a level ones, perhaps she had a buff that helped her out or maybe a special type of bow she found early on. The big kicker however, was the Assassin that stormed the battlefield as that masked maruader heaved a magical weapon imbued with the elemnts of fire that seemed like a godsend given the current situation. The other plus that made a great aid was that she had talents customized to dealing heavy damage. As her axe crashed down upon the [Nepent Snatcher A] it burst into anima bubbles. Tessia confirmed the kill and moved on to the rest of the fight.
"Strength in numbers, men! Stay vigilant and work together!"
Saskia huffed as she focused on her edge of the battlefield. She then got an idea to help even the odds in the three versus two battle with her and Strife versus the [Nepent Snatchers (B,C, & D)] She inhaled a deep breath then whistled for her champion steed as he gallantly blessed the battlefield with his presence by trampling over [Nepent Snatcher C] as to help keep the aggro of the toughest opponents. The great thing about the horse was that it’s level scaled with Saskia’s and therefore it’s damage did as well. It was a bit of a trump card for the group as Icarus practically stomped the pour plant to death, inflicting a greater chunk of damage than Saskia could ever do.
It was however plastered with an acidic spit that made it neigh violently as it circled around for another sweep. It’s white coat was stained with green goo that slid off as he built up momentum, but left a patch from the injuries it had sustained.
Meanwhile, [Nepent Snatcher E &F] were encroaching upon the other steel champion warrioress and her roaming Samurai as they prepared an onslaught of plasmic acidic spit.

After he had shouted out the party went into full assault. Saskia lead the charge as would befit her position as guild master or mistress. Recalling something he read back in the real world, Ductus exemplo or lead by example, something Saskia understood as well, luckily, though it might also have something to do with her being one of the few guardians in the guild and thus more or less forcing her to advance first, lest the squishier members would get… squished by these walking weeds.[break][break]
The other membres followed suit and attacked the critters with their respective skills, which made Bailin a tad glad, for at least they could fight. Firing a shot towards [Nepent Snatcher C] Bailin failed to notice [Nepent Snatcher A] was heading towards him, but luckily it got riddled with arrows before it could do anything. So Bailin continued his reload, letting the system take over for a bit as he looking up to take in the surroundings and locations on the battlefield. [break][break] Next up Saskia shouted that there was strength in numbers, something that appeared to be confirmed by the arrival of the two archers. Taking a look in the general direction of the four probably known but not known for sure hostiles which were slowly working their way up to the fight Bailin noticed they were indeed heading their way and probably about twenty five meters removed from the fight. They had to finish this fight sooner rather than later, lest they would become outnumbered. “Hostiles are about twenty five meters removed from us, let us finish this fast and reform the formation in preparation of the four moving hostiles.” Bailin shouted out before he continued his reloading.[break][break]
Having reloaded his musket Bailin prepared another shot, activating his [Steady shot skill] which made his armour stiffen up enough for him to hold his musket steady for a single shot, he then took aim at [Nepent Snatcher C] and killing it. On the hit of the musket launched object the [Nepent Snatcher C] received a second small hole on its torso, the surroundings of the hole darkening at first, small drops of what normally would be blood, dripping out and almost instantly turning into anima bubbles drifting upwards into the sky. From the six obvious hostiles in front of them, resembling a nasty weed infestation, there were now two slain and one damaged. However, the moving, living garden weeds were however gaining help from four probably rather annoying friends. ‘Ah well, back to business I suppose.’ Bailin thought as he started is reload again, preparing for the next shot.

A exhausted foot step after another was what he tried to do without falling to the ground. He was limping as both of his arms swung forwards and backwards slowly. The boy didn't look like a normal human being anymore. His body was completely surrounded by darkness. A filthy and gloomy aura burst around his limbs, engulfing body and soul into darkness. The streets were dark, street lamps casted their circle of light upon the ground but it was sufficient to light the whole street. What had he done to deserve such treatment ? Why did those people take that girl. What had they become and where had they gone ? He sighed in despair and resolved to heal himself until he couldn't do it anymore because of mana limitation. He chain casted [Tainted Charity] on himself, raising his corruption to a solid stage 3 and that without knowing it. So... Don't you think you are in a bad situation ? You look like trash !He continued walking, he felt better, the healing had enabled him to walk at a faster pace and stop limping. He hit his head with his right open palm repetitively as to knock out the voice inside of his head. He felt hands grabbing his shoulders and sliding down his body, voices echoing through his mind and head. Slithering words, flowing through his being, feeling human contact upon his skin. His eyes swiftly slid on his body examining it but no one and nothing was around him nor touching him. He felt uneasy and didn't know what was going on. Is it me ? Is it my class ? Is it what they call corruption ?He continued walking down the street feeling better compared to earlier. His injuries had been healed but his mind and soul were not. They were torn apart, he saw things he shouldn't normally see. The streets and buildings were like waves, flowing like water, it was as if he was under drogues. Visual hallucinations, what the hell was happening. Far away he heard metallic footsteps closing in on him. He barely had the time to turn his head that he felt a tight grip around his neck and felt his feet lift up the floor. He couldn't even cough as the grip was too tight, he felt the palm press against his throat as his eyes closed. He screamed. "Aaaaaaaaaaaarh !"His back had been once against crushed against the ground, coughing blood onto the metal glove plates of his assaulter. He didn't even have time to speak that he was blocked onto the ground by a giant cat. He felt the difference in strength and couldn't do much. His body laid on the ground and his arms were laying along his body. The corruption aura around the boy started sliding on his enemy's armor engulfing him with Mitsu' in darkness. The eyes of the cat were filled of anger and desperation, it was the first time the boy had encountered someone whose eyes said "I'll kill you if you don't answer...". The boys hands slid onto the hand which was holding his throat as if tried to push them back and get loose of the grip. His dark red bloody eyes pierced through those of the attacker as a voice which wasn't his came out of his mouth as it was the last piece of breath he could exhale. "LET GO OF ME !" The boys' face had a dark and sadistic expression as if he wanted to pick a fight. But it seemed more like a survival reaction then a complete murderous one. His hellfire eyes gleamed in the night with the moons reflection. The grip loosened from his throat and he could finally breath. His first breath was long, he inhaled as if he manage to survive from drowning, as if it was his first since decades. "I'm trying to follow her as well"He shouted again with furious eyes filled with warm hatred. He coughed blood again as his last injuries and his new ones intertwined into combined damage. He whispered, spitting blood as each and every word. "They took her..."What he didn't know is that both of them weren't talking about the same person. He tried forcing the hand off of his neck but it wouldn't budge. He was struggling, moving his feet as someone panicking on the ground, he was trying to shake off that hand which wouldn't move. Slipping into cover, Tessia adjusted her white cowl a little for arm room and laid down under some bushes. One of the advantages of woodland combat was ample cover and when needed safety. "I will assist in taking out the lower levels first. The numbers must be reduced." She sent. Raising her bow she launched a arrow at the Nepent Snatcher that was further from the Samurai and the other fighter. She couldn't truly see all that well where they where, but she would focus on distraction and when needed a deathly blow. This was a team effort after all, she didn't want to get too far ahead.
The Nepent stopped, sensing the newer noise closer too it and wandered over towards the arrows location. Launching another arrow carefully, Tessia hit a good 10 feet away as the Nepent, still in range to "feel" it wandered even further away from its partner. As it ambled up almost into the range of the next arrow, Tessia activated Spark Shot, and stood her Ritual tattoos flickering with purple energy as a faint rumbling could be heard. The reason she had to stand was because the light coming off her weapon made it hard to aim in cover. Firing at the Nepent, the lightning arced off the bolt and slammed into its body sending a burst of static everywhere. Its health considerably lowered, the Nepent Snatcher rushed Tessia, and began firing its trademark acid.
Dropping her bow, she rushed forward to meet it, activating Accel Dance to bolt even faster forward as her ax lashed out. Unfortunately, the Nepent Snatcher had launched a acidic spit right at Tessia as she closed in for the killing strike. She could hear the Mana Liner Shield she wore whir loudly as the blueish barrier took the brunt of the hit and allowed about 20 percent damage through. Gritting her teeth, her attack was still the killer, as her ax lashed out in a forward crescent strike. The blade bit into the creatures midsection as embers erupted from the head of the ax and leaped all over it. Looking like a horizontal blazing crescent, the ax slid through the Nepents body and cleaved it in half as Tessia spun away and turned full circle. Thanks to the stack of Accel Dance, she rushed backward at high speed to avoid any long range from anything else and skidded into the snowy brush.
She grimaced as her Mana Liner Shield was already powering down. It had done its job, but she would have to make another later at a higher efficacy, and get some better armor too. Noting her low Ritual HP was just before the yellow mark, Tessia sheathed her ax and slipped away to go find her bow. "One level six down. Taken a hit and at less than 70% hp. Following the other low level at distance."she sent. Finding her bow, she took a moment to rest and relax, watching from cover under the brush and her white cowl against a tree. After a slight respite, she slipped into Silent Move again and was sure to keep her distance this time. With her Shield down for now, it would be a little more difficult to strike, but she had confidence in her archery and in her allies. As quiet and hidden as she could be, Tessia stalked the other Nepent and the two it was advancing on, just in case they needed back up.

bittersweet. It all seemed to happen in a blur of motion; combat was chaos they said. Once the Nepent monsters were in sight the guild mistress was the one to engage them. She was a graceful steel clad goddess, or so she appeared to be, as she charged across the field in valiant defense of her comrades. She put out an aura that made Lu feel at ease even here on the battlefield. Perhaps things would turn out to be alright afterall and she would not have to worry about her lack of levels.
With awe she watched as the guardian summoned her steed and drew aggro away from Bailin and the others. Even the new assassins who joined the fray seemed to be able to put the Nepent monsters down with ease. All the while the fox tail samurai sat back and waited for some sort of opening that she could squeeze and attack through. It felt terrible to be a hinderance to the batttle going on here so she would do her best to assist where able. Drawing both katanas, Lu would feel a similar rush overcome her body.
"Hai." she replied to Pen as she gave the order to move in. For now the best she could hope to do was remain by the guardians side and wait for an opening. These people were braver than anyone she had ever met, the way they threw themselves into battle. If only she could do the same and follow their example. Perhaps one day she would be on their level and she would shield them from harm. They gave her something to strive for, something to work towards and she would meet them at the top.
Watching as one Nepent was killed and another wounded she wondered if this battle would truly last long. It seemed that their damage dealers were mostly assassins and what she knew about them was that they were notorious for their one shot mechanics. They had the power to put down most of their foes with a single strike which was something she found impressive. Even though she loved to deal damage the way of the cloak and dagger was simply not for her.
It seemed that the game changed however as [Nepent Snatcher] E&F decided to break off from the main group. Instead they targetted Luin and Pen with their acidic attacks, you could see it building in them. There was no time for Lu to even consider what this might mean if they were to get hit by such an attack in this new world. Activating her [High Jump] skill she lept through the air to a tree branch above to avoid the acidic spray that was inevitably coming her way.
While she hated to leave Pen alone on the ground it was her duty to stay alive in this battle. They had a need for someone of her size she was told and so she had to keep breathing. From up here she could survey the entire field and keep her eyes open for surprise attacks. "It seems that Saskia lost control of only two of them. There is one Nepent down and another severely wounded. Two new combatants have joined the field on our side." she reported to Pen from her post on the branch.
She could not fight for them right now but the tiny fox tail could provide overwatch for the group. |

Guardian - Bodyguard - Artisan ____________________________________________________
Battle had changed since the Catastrophe. No longer was it the boring point and click attack with push button abilities. No. It was as close to real life as Pen figured most would want to get. She stood with Luiniel at her back, the low level Samurai watched and waited for the her to be given the signal to attack. Pen, being a Guardian and bodyguard, was tasked with keeping the wee-one safe. Something that she herself would have volunteered for. Especially after the samurai's comment about using her own body to trigger the traps that may lay in wait. The group found out where she stood on such ideas. Respawn or no, she wouldn't let anyone martyr themselves on the traps of these sadistic bastards. Pen watched the battle unfold, her shield in hand covering her torso and waist area. Her shield sister, Saskia, drew initial aggro and quickly called her warhorse, Icarus, in to escalate that aggro. Smart. Pen thought as a smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth.
During the chaos of battle two [Nepent Snatchers], both of the level six, made their way toward two wolf hair and fox tail. Pen glanced back at Lu just as she pushed her feet into the earth and sprung upward and onto a thick branch. Once she was safely and securely on the branch Pen looked away and watched as Bailin fired one of his rounds into a [Nepent Snatcher], it quickly erupted into anima, signifying its demise. The wolf hair's phantom tail flicked back and forth as she lowered herself to increase her center of gravity. She wasn't going to bounce around like some nooblet guardian would. Pen was a seasoned veteran with how to use a sword and shield. While she never used it on a living person in the real world, her fascination with knights of Arthurian Legend drove her to learning sword play. In fact, it was this reason that Saskia sought her out for learning sword play. Having ingrained battle skills from a computer was fine and all, but in a game world where you can bring realism from the real world? Why let the game be the only battle skills you have?
Her golden eyes watched as Snatchers E and F came bounding across the field toward her, she heard Luiniel announce their incoming. Once they got within range of using their acidic spit another person ambushed them and quickly dispatched one, leaving [Nepent Snatcher F] all alone. Almost as soon as the ambusher appeared, she vanished again, her white cloak no doubt being used to assist with her concealment. Pen wasted no time as she took advantage of the final Snatcher's sudden confusion. Due to her being a wolf hair, since her features altered and her adrenaline was pumping, her strength had increased. Unlike Saskia, Pen didn't have [Knight's Heart] which meant she didn't get her dex bonus when mounted. No, Pen wasn't built for dexterity, Pen was a wall. A wall erected to prevent others from taking damage. Pen was a tank, and one that took pride in it. The bottom of her greaves pressed into the earth underfoot and, with her increased strength, she propelled herself forward. The [Nepent Snatcher] came to its senses much faster than she anticipated and launched a string of acid at the advancing Guardian. Shifting her shoulder she lifted her great shield and blocked most of the incoming attack. A trace amount of the corrosive saliva landed on the top of the shield and dripped onto the top of her head. The contact burned. dealing minor corrosive damage.
Ignoring the burn she lowered her shield and, swung her long sword in a wide arch. The battle tested metal bit into the serpent-like body of the Snatcher but it was far too weak of a blade to bring about the level six's death. The successful blow only did around thirty percent of the creature's life. "Luiniel...now!" Pen roared as the momentum of her attack reached its pinnacle and twisted her hips and drove her legs into the snowy earth below. "[Shield Smash]!" She howled, and slammed her shield into the [Nepent Snatcher]. Or so she had intended. Unlike Pen whom was attack and defense only, the snatcher was serpent-like and had more grace and dex than she did. As the guardian spun back around for another attack the Snatcher reared back after it was hit and moved just out of range. When Pen realized the Snatcher had moved, it was too late and her [Shield Smash] threw her so far off balance that she fell forward. With all her momentum and weight behind the attack, coupled with the snowy terrain, she met with the plush, cold powder.
[Nepent Snatcher F] took its opportunity and spit its acid on the guardian's sword arm before it moved in for a physical attack.

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ Cracks of loud gunfire and the razor sharp winds of steel slicing through the forest burst through the forest in violent sound waves. The bitter frostfall made the tight grip on the steel begin to burn her fingers as Saskia endured the brutal winter. Their was no sensation like it, as the feeling began so crack through the tears in her insolated gloves. She had a strong distaste for this scorching icy metal as it stuck to her skin like a sticky napalm of frigid steel. The tip of her fingers began to grow numb over time as did her feet as they trudged through the snow.
She watched as the snowfall began to glow emerald with the green acidic spit that shattered through the frostfall of the cold season. Her eyes flickered in the soft angelic touch of the moonlight as she heard the sinuous shrieks echo throughout the forest as the long vines were hacked with sharp blades and axes and the flowers head was pummeled by gunfire and blunt hooves. Saskia’s wolf ears twitched as she heard the bitter shouts of some of her comrades in battle. Some were fierce and gathered rage that fueled their sword arm with much fervor. Others remained cool calm and collected as they brilliantly planned out their next tactics or timed a skillful shot. Few grimaced in pain, but pressed valiantly onward towards the setting sun as the pure white snow began to be stained red.
The ascension of Anima bubbles rose skyward and to the heavens as the corpses of Nepent Snatchers began to descend upon the cool earth. The group began to engage in the waltz of war as they scoured the warzone in this wild skirmish. Short huffs escaped her breath as she darted behind a tree that got painted with green goo that caused the bark to corrode and crackle into a steamy gas. She squinted her eyes and dashed back into the fight with a animalistic tenacity and sent a bold upheaval of her blade upward into a skyward slash as the steel uppercut cut through the snow and sliced the plant upward. The plant recoiled wildly and hocked a nasty green vomit that it puked on Saskia’s face which singed her eyes. She grimaced from the pain and flailed as the adhesive scorched her skin. She shouted and she waved her hand, beckoning her steed , Icarus, to her side as he rounded about the battlefield making his way towards the [Nepent Snatcher B] and reared back on it’s hind legs and slammed his front hooves into the scalp of the plant.
As the beast squirmed and wormed about, it corroded into anima bubbles. With her vision impaired, she began to fall to her knees. Her eyes began to tear up as they burned violently. Her mind warped back to days of science class in high school. She remembered that they ha an eye wash section and a shower to decontaminate themselves from hazardous chemicals. Her hands shifted about her body, trying to get a feel for the surface of her canteen as she gritted her teeth and lied on her knees. She was in no condition to fight right now, but she needed to get back in the fight soon. People were counting on her to play her part.
“Shit, my freaking eyes. We need come cover fire on the Nepent over here. Pen? How are you and Lu holding up? And where's that new girl?” Saskia shouted as she found her canteen and let it rest in her lap.
Her health bar began to gradually descend from the damage over time she recieved from the acid as she continued to speak and twist off the cap.
“Strife...you still with me, bud? Tess, we could use you over here. Bailin..what’s the status on those-...”
A rumble through the forest shattered like an earthquake as she tried to raise the open canteen and wash out her eyes. As the earth shaked, she fell of balance and the canteen was emptied on the surface.
“Shit!” Saskia shouted as she chucked the canteen into the snow in a low frustrated scowl. Her head did a double take as she began to focus and lower her groans to a silent calm.
Once again the loud footsteps echoed through the forest as the Forest treants got closer, though their footsteps were more sluggish and slower than the crag cow and enigmic buster.
Clutching tiny fistfuls of snow, she crushed it in her hands until it became a wet liquid and used it to help wash out her eyes. She raised her head back as her pinks strands of hair stuck to her face and she heaved heavy breaths.
From the corners of her recovering blurred vision, she saw them. Sinuous shadows of arms and legs towering over them from a distance of about fifteen meters. As her shoulders began to rise and fall with each breath, almost as if she had a defeated stance, she flung her sword into the snow and pushed herself upward as she stammered to her feet.
She rose a finger to her ear and sent a telepathic message to Spades.
"Spades...don't know what you guys got going on in that city, but we might just need you to haul ass over to the great woods. I'm sending you our coordinates now." Saskia said as her eyes quivered at the sight of the large Forest Treants in the distance.

Hearing the call for help from Saskia, Tessia slipped low into the brush and rushed past some trees at high velocity. Her stack of Accel Dance still running, she closed in on the Nepent that seemed to be launching shot after shot of acidic spit towards Saskia, who was behind tree and trying to recover. Staying low in the brush, darting this way and that the Nepent only noticed her and turned just in time to see her leap out of cover right at its face. Ax high above her head, Tessia activated Accel Dance once again and struck hard at the Nepents out stretched vines. Lopping off at least two of them neatly, it howled and spat at her descending form.
The embers from her ax leaped all over the flailing creature as Tessia executes a midair flip to avoid the acid. Landing nimbly and bolting right at the thing once more, even faster now and the Nepent flails trying to whip her blurred form. The great thing about her ax and the skill Accel Dance is that it allowed her much faster movement coupled with the raw force of a heavy ax behind each blow. As the Nepent belched up some acid right at her front, Tessia skidded under it, in the process lost her white cowl, she rebounded off a tree trunk and flew into the air. Activating Deadly Dance she spun about high over the Nepent and came down hard atop its body with the full force of a wound up ax strike. A thin blazing line went straight down its center as Tessia slipped to the side and watched. Fire soon erupted from that split as the creature went up in flames.
As it fell aside smoldering and in two pieces, Tessia snatched her cowl out and away from it and spun into its warm embrace. Looking towards the tree she slipped over too it and leaned saying to Saskia, "Another down. One Nepent still abounds. Taking up cover and bow." She wanted to at least give Saskia something to help but unfortunate did not posses anything at the moment. Slipping back into cover of a nearby tree and brush, Tessia stood very still. Watching the nearest creatures movements, she knew it would be a tough fight up ahead. Crouching and relaxing she took in the fighters that were left and the creatures nearby. Hopefully she could remain out of sight to surprise at least one of the Treants before it could cause any significant damage. Her Mp at close too half, she drew her bow and waited, silent and almost invisible against the white backdrop of the snowy forest.

| DON'T GET IN MY WAY! Spade’s face was in a mix of anger and desperation as the moment the white haired man said that she was gone, he then began to needlessly worry about what could possibly have happened to Valentine. He then began to do something he truly despised doing, he panicked and could not think of his next move. His green eyes lost their fire and they actually seemed to dull slowly, Spade released his grip on the man’s neck; at the same time he released his skill that was turning his body metallic. Once he did so he jumped to his feet quickly mind and body racing at speeds he was not used to nor did he enjoy, in his mind there was no thought coming in nor was there any direction being told to the rest of his virtual body, all he was doing was watching the white haired man coughing up his lungs with dull green eyes. Spade’s body was tensed, his mind unable to create any thoughts, at the corner of his vision it was slowly turning red. The red was only at the edge of his sight so this caused the panicking werecat no real concern. Spade’s mind was slowly coming back to life as he was able to pay attention to who this man was, but all at once his mind assaulted him with thoughts of what these mysterious figures are doing to his companion. All at once he went from panic to despair, his the corners of his emerald eyes becoming a tint of black, reflecting slightly what atmosphere the white haired man was putting off. Spade’s mind was simply destroying itself from the inside, he stopped looking at the man to pay better attention to a bigger problem, he grabbed his black ears and proceeded to pull them in a attempt to force his mind of the train of thought causing him great distress but to no avail he was able to bring mental relief.
He continued to fall into despair until he heard what sounded like a telephone call coming from his head, “Okay Okay, focus on the objective focus on the objective!” Spade said to himself in an attempt to stop his slow descent in to madness, he removed his hands from his head and began to take deep breaths, the ringing continuing to ring in his head. Finally after he was able to regain a little of the sanity he had lost due to his mental breakdown earlier, he positioned his hand in the shape of a phone and answered the call. It was Saskia and she had told him that some tough enemies were beginning their approach her groups position, so she required him to reach her position and provide some needed damage. Spade’s mind began to focus on getting to Saskia’s position, but he was able to keep in mind that he was there searching for Valentine and the white haired man in front of him was also searching for her. Not wanting to lose a possible lead to her he picked the man up and placed him on his shoulder and with his face looking in the same direction as Spade and began his quick paced walk to the greatwoods out of the village before the guards are able to surround him and risk their life.Word Count:557Tags: Mitsuru Kirishima |

“The status on our lovely neighbourhood creeps? Make an educated guess whom has come knocking down our little door.” Bailin said in jest, though in truth he was rather annoyed with the arrival of the farm-livestock on certain muscle and growth enhancing drugs arriving this soon. It left them little to no time to reform and focus on one enemy at a time. It appeared to him that Saskia was getting slightly irritated as things were not going as easy as they had planned, not as easy as when Bailin himself had scouted the area. [break][break] Taking aim at [Nepent Snatcher F) Bailin let loose another shot, sending a bullet racing through the air towards the Snatcher, striking its mark and creating another hole and dropping its health bar lower. Shooting a glance at his own health and mana bars Bailin was relieved that he was still at full health, however, his mana was gradually depleting. It was a small trade; hit nearly everything, especially if they are lower level, at the cost of some mana. However, in a prolonged fight like this, mana would deplete due to the length of the fight. It left him with a rather annoying dilemma; the Snatchers would be of little consequence, however the soon to join hostiles would be rather annoying and require more of his dwindling supply of mana. [break][break] Taking aim for the next shot Bailin let loose another bullet and created another hole in [Nepent Snatchers F]’s torso, dropping its health bar even further. His next step was to conserve mana and as such he toggled off his [trained eye] skill. ‘I will need whatever much I have remaining for those larger meddlers. Those will be a grand pain compared to the nuisance these bastards have given us.’ He thought to himself as he prepared for another shot. [break][break] “How are we holding up people, anyone dangerously low on either health or mana?” he shouted out to gain a slight idea of how everyone else was faring.

bittersweet. Her skills from the real world seemed to be translating quite nicely to this situation. In the other world her peers always used her as an information gathering turret of sorts. Anshi always had a knack for learning things she was not suppose to know due to her climbing to places she was not suppose to be. When you were small no one noticed you, much like the hobbits in Tolkiens fiction. Thus despite her in your face class she had a knack for doing the same job as an assassin when it came to intel. Perhaps she would have been a better support fighter than a tank.
In the chaos of the battle it seemed that she had become invisible to the enemy. Her white cloak made her harder to spot as she hid in the trees due to her high jump skill. 'What a lucky pick.' she told herself as she had not taken acrobat on purpose. To be quite honest she had forgotten to take her skills off of what they defaulted too when she hit create. The only thing she had chosen herself was the fact that she was a samurai; the rest was a random occurance.
Lu managed to avoid the acidic spit but her tank did not manage to do such a thing. Even still Pen seemed to hold pretty strong against them, a stalwart defender of her lower leveled companions. She was impressed with the threat per second the two guardians were capable of generating and wondered if perhaps she had not chosen the wrong melee class. Unfortunately for her she had a permnanent case of the class shuffle itch. She grew bored easily with things like her hair, her clothes and yes even her class.
Shaking herself from her thoughts she realized that she was stalling for no reason. Pen had enough threat that Lu could initiate with some damage on the two nepents that were focusing them. Drawing her blades, the fox tail samurai lept from the trees and made a quick flurry of auto attack. Like two very fast flashes of silver, what moon light was present would flash off of her steel as she hacked at the closest snatcher (F).
With her quick thinking she sought to cut the snatcher that was about to attack Pen off. She would not let a single attack land on her ally if she could help it. The rage built up in her as she activated her [Denkosekka] skill which increased her movement speed greatly. Lightining woul swirl around the fox tail as her hair stood on end from the sheer power flowing through her. Utilizing this new speed she moved between Pen and the Nepent to use her [Shunsen] ability.
A quick strike from her katana would send the nepent back a few paces as well as create a wave of pressurized air to slice through to hit the other nepent nearby. Once Snatcher "F" was staggered she pressed the attack with the final move in her combo, [Tsurugi Bunshin]. This attack created a blurred after image effect around her that went off every time she moved for the duration. This combined with speed allowed her to charge the enemy, leaping above them at the last moment and coming down on their head with a quick double swipe of her katanas.
Her movements were so quick however that with each hit she managed to sneak in a second moments later. However to the onlooker it would appear as one hit each but the system would register four auto attacks worth of damage. Once finished, the samurai sheathed her katanas and lept back over the enemy and moved around behind Pen.
"That's all I have for now until my cooldowns are up. Samurai class is pretty cooldown reliant." she said feeling useless due to her level and lack of abilities. |

The man seemed to fall into pieces, he felt the hand release its grip and Mitsu was able to breathe in deeply for the very first time since several minutes. It was as if it was one of his first breaths in this world, it felt amazing but at the same time painful as if his lungs weren't used to containing as much oxygen. The hellfire eyes of the boy opened themselves again trying to gain focus on those of the cat. He scrutinized his face, feature after feature and could read panic and darkness. Speaking of which the spikes of corruption continued to fly around Mitsu's body reaching for the first thing in sight, which was the cat. "..."The boy continued breathing as if it could be his last, as if the cast was the executioner and that he could take that privilege away from him at any moment. He believed he would be in no trouble anymore but it could be the complete opposite. That animal on top of him seemed emotional and greatly unpredictable. Smoke came out at every single breath he took, the freezing wind blew through the streets as snow resumed falling from the sky slowly as tiny angels dropping from above. His blood injected pupils glanced at them as a faint smile appeared on his lips, in any desperate situation there was always a solution bad or good. But there was always one. The animal in front of him grabbed his head as to shake out the panic and started taking deep breaths. Everything went so fast that the boy didn't know what he could have done. The hand of the cat came to his ear as he started nodding and speaking back but he couldn't hear much, the only thing he felt was his body lifting from the ground once again. Oh no... Not again... he thought. His stomach dropped on the huge cat's shoulder as it cut his breathing, it was like receiving a heavy punch just in the solar plexus, which is located on the upper part of the abdomen. The thing started picking up a quick pace as if it was in a hurry, every step made his stomach hit the armored shoulder of the beast and hurt the boy more than anything else. They were quickly out of the city and out of the range of the city guards which had started to gather all together to help the boy against the beast, but they were too slow and there he was, kidnapped just like that woman. Each and every single hit of his stomach made him feint a bit more as his vision went from clear to blurry. His limbs went limp, his arms dropped and his body followed the shape of the kidnapper's shoulder. It wasn't long before he feinted as his entire body just as if he was an invertebrate. Apparently they or should I correct ,the cat, had made quite a walk since they had left the city. The boy came back to consciousness, he heard like a crunchy noise at every step, they were under trees and could hear the wind whistle through the think snowy branches. His vision started to get clear and all he could see was white, which was pretty aggressive for eyes that had slept for approximately an hour. "Where are we..." he whispered, he had almost lost every single hope in his tone. Blood had resumed spilling gently from his stomach onto the cats armor. His injuries had opened once again but he couldn't care less in the current situation he was in. They were in the woods, covered in snow and he had no idea of where they were and why they were here. Behind them were little red drops in the snow, the boys blood without a doubt. "Why are you... bringing me with you..." His voice was almost mute, but he was near the cats right ear so it wouldn't be a problem to be heard. Each step was much slower and the bumps on his shoulder were inexistent and made his stomach have a bit of a rest. His hair was white, it was always white, but this time it was white because of the snow which had covered most of his hair, he felt a cold shiver slide from the bottom of his spine to the top making him squeak. | DON'T GET IN MY WAY! Spade’s traveling pace did not cease at any point, just o make sure he reached the forest without having to fight with someone on his shoulder he had engaged his Battle Perception just in case he needed to move, his sight expanded by a bit and was immediately alerted to boars and serpents within 8 meters of his person hiding in bushes and trees. He re-positioned his grip on the man and took an outward path away form the potential enemies and returned to his path only tens of seconds later, back on his snowy beaten path he continued his journey to his destination all the while dealing with the worry eating at his sanity bit by bit. After the first group of creatures spotted close to Spade he was able to successfully evade all other potential threats without them getting to close to his person, time unknown to the panicking werecat passing by he reached the treeline and his path went from beaten and worn to new and difficult to travel through.
He took time to wade through the untouched snow, while moving through the snow he felt the man on his left shoulder move and bit and woke up from fainting. Spade stopped to look at the man stirring on his shoulder for a few seconds before he felt a warm sensation leaking down his right side, he looked up in surprised just in case something was looming over the two then proceeding to look around his area for anything that evaded his sight, mid-search he spotted a trail of blood coming from the treeline leading to his foot and up to his shoulder, the man was injured badly and Spade was not made aware of this until just now. So his entire right side has streaks of blood on his body. Spade was annoyed by this but he did not mind it since this would have slowed the man, and consequently, Spade. He continued his walk answering the waking man with grunts, the man kept making noise that did not help with Spade’s deteriorating his mental state even further. He suddenly shrugged his shoulder supporting the man and he knocked the wind out of him both ceasing the talking and other noises with a resounding “Oof”.
With silence now being the second thing eating at Spade’s mind he approached a large group of players and two giant trees both level 15 and 20, Spade spotted in the group of players the familiar pink hair and he was able to assume this is what he was called for, the group were occupied with two boss level monsters that him and Saskia had fought before so he guessed fighting two field bosses at the same time would not be easy.. Spade’s instinct kicked in, he dropped man at once, another “Oof” coming from his mouth; the werecat assumed the man was incapable of moving far and he would be able to track him down due to his wound. Spade took a deep breath and closed his eyes, when he opened them his fiery emerald eyes were dull but focused along with his fur suddenly turning in to a dull metallic sheen thanks to the snow and a few streaks of dried blood leading from his shoulder to his feet due to carrying the injured man, he had activated his Iron Body skill. He targeted the larger of the two walking trees and ran through the untouched snow with difficulty until he reached the backside of the tree but he was also cut off from immediate help, in Spade’s mind he wanted nothing more than to deliver as many punches as he can until he would be knocked out the way or killed. He was aware he landed a single punch to the base of the treant (A) immediately followed by another , then unaware of what happened his arms started to move faster than what he could possibly do, Spade had activated Bullet Punch trapping himself in that single spot for four seconds. He did not know how he was attacking this quickly but he knew he was doing more damage than usual due to his body being made of iron at the moment, the lower level tree next to Spade was then made aware it’s partner was in combat and something quick had began to assault it’s ally, it turned to face Spade ready to kill the new presence in the already chaotic battle.Word Count: [745]Status:Corruption level 1Skills: Bullet Punch- Channel skill, unable to do any other actions for 4 seconds; time left 3.5 secondsTags: Mitsuru Kirishima, Saskia, Luiniel, Pen Ddraig, Tessia, Bailin, strife |

Guardian - Cavalier - Brewer ____________________________________________________ The raging winds howled with al the force of a great blizzard as the cutting winds sliced through the air. As she released several pants, removing her fingers from her ear and disconnecting the emergency call to spades frequency. Clenching her teeth together she bats her irritated eyes at the sky as she hold her head back. Her kneecaps are buried several inches into the snow as the weight from her heavy steel armor slides further into the frozen pit. She flicks her right wrist to stab the tip of the sword into the ground, her left hand folds over her right as she presses down on the hilt, using it like a staff, and drags herself to her feet.
As she watches the nepent snatcher flanks her to prepare another unprescribed dosage of corrosive ointment, she tumbles over to a tree and uses it for cover. The acidic spit begins to singe the edges as she presses her cool steel armor against the wood. That is when she hears it.
The next crack of the gunshot from Bailin’s loud rifle. The sounds rings in her ears and makes her jump. She still isn’t used to the sensation. The smell of gunpowder that floods her nose as it fills the air. Her streams of flowing hair flutter in front of her face that pink rivers as she hears the rapid crunching of know. It sounds like a mad wolf dashing across the field. A masterful carnivorous prey as it strikes to go in for the kill. She knows not whether it is friend or foe and merely grips her long sword with both hands and wields it tight to her chest, tip pointed to the heavens, praying for mercy.
The sound resonates between the trees as the vibration of the gushing soundwaves of cold steel digging into rough vines, carving out their mark and the crackling of smoldering plants intoxicate the senses and numbs the mind. The screech of impaled steel being ripping from a body as it lifelessly collapses to the ground cradles her ears.
With the high rush of combat, everything seems as a blur, her mind cannot keep it together quick enough. She cannot compute what is going on. Her sense of situational awareness is shattering. The snow from the branches above rattle and shakes as it descends and splatters alongside her left shoulder plate and over the top of her cranium. She shivers as the snow seeps down into her neck collar. She coughs roughly and clutches at her heart. Her health is fine, but her psyche is waning, she doesn’t know how to keep it together against such relentless odds. The thunderous clap of wooden hooves pound through the forest behind her as the enemy grows ever near.
At her side, one of her most vigilant assassin’s come at her side. The words she speak are drowned out by Saskia’s mind and sound like muffled shouts coming over a broken subwoofer. She blinks as she gazes up into the intensity of the blonde haired woman’s eyes. With no clue what she is saying, Saskia knows innately that she must show her resolve otherwise morale would be crippled, it is her duty as a guild leader. Sulking was not an option. Her quivering sapphire globes come to a still focus as she gives Tessia a firm nod.
She watches as the woman retrieves her bow and she treks closer to the south east region of the skirmish lines, heading towards the fields where the phoenix haired guardian and the crimsoned eyed fox lie.
Saskia squints through the blur as she notices the valiant knight, Pen, crumble on her feet in a patch of snow, her leg gets caught in a patch as it is stuck in the frozen wasteland. Saskia watches as she struggles to get out with the nepent snatcher drawing ever near. She knows that she cannot get there fast enough. As the fiery haired woman receives incoming fire from the acidic plants, she raises her shield and plays the role of a turtle locked away in it’s shell; defense her only option.
She tucks her head down, wincing, as the second shot erupts through the forest. The vigilant covering fire of the teams superb sharpshooter as it rips through the lengthy vine, causing it to rekindle it’s aggro towards the marksmen. While distracted, the plant is also sliced and diced by the superb display of swordsmanship by the nimble samurai, as she does just enough damage to help, but not shift aggro over Bailin. Fortunately, the trusty war horse is able to finish it off with a violent rear kick.
Suddenly she feels the footsteps of two precenses draw near as the lurking footsteps from the shadows creep forward like a panther. The large rocky crag cow stepped out from her right as the large enemic buster emerged from her right. As the creatures of the night stormed out, they gathered around her defensively.
They seemed very wary, but the way they loomed around her, they seemed as if they were ready to strike at any moment. Her eyes quivered for a moment as she began to realize that they were not actually predatorial. She heaved a slight sigh of relief. That part was over.
Or so she hoped as she saw a whispering arrow fling itself towards into the lower thigh of the beasts hind leg. Her eyes quivered, as she looked back, whipping her head to the right and seeing a cheerful elven girl fire her bow at the crag cow, marking the prelude to a battle that didn’t need to be fought. A gasp escapes her breath as she focuses on the girl.
She tries to find the strength to lean up, but she struggles to her feet. The crag cow is alredy rushing in a furious heat at the girl. Saskia presses the glove of her gauntler agianst the tree and tries to push of off it. The rumbling of the rocky crag cow tearing through the fields of snow splinters her mind. She tries to run after it. If only she could get close enough to activate her skill. Her heavy greaves trudge through the terribly harsh terrain and the movement speed debuff that is offered by the terrain hinders her movement. She knows she can’t get there in time. Still she struggles on. She needs time.
The beast then bursts forward in a demonic speed with all the force of a raging storm as he barrels towards the girl.
Out of the corner of her vision, she sees a familiar balck shadow advancing on the field carrying a body, it’s the agile monk, Spades, carrying an odd figure Saskia doesn’t recognize yet. Before him are the two tremendous treants that break through the skirmish lines in the middle of them.
She shouts out to the monk hoping he can offer some assisstance. “Spades! The girl! The girl! Spades!” She knows her armor is not built for mobility. With the werecat’s level and light armor, there should be no reason he would be unable to reach the girl in time. Except , of course, unless he was stained by the treacherous sin of corruption. Believing that he has heard her, she hears a pinging of steel armor collide with a rather large beast from behind her.
“Strife!” She yells out as she watches him unleash a riot blade against the furry critter. Had she been so consumed with the girl and lost in the chaos that she didn’t notice her brother in arms fighting for dear life?
The Enemic Buster, a large rabbit wielding a ridiculously large club, had already used it’s [Rabbit Repopulation] to Summon 2 Frenmic Rabbits that aggro onto Strife and surrounded him. They had already begun the wear and tear on his weak armor as she saw his health deplete.
The Alvian princess of war gazed down at the pitiful sight as she watched the trembling commander of the squad, pause, frozen in space and time, as Saskia’s eyes caught a third distasteful sight. Instead of the Monk going after the girl as Saskia had yelled out, the crazed lunatic made a barreling charge towards the toughest foe in the forest. Before she could have posssibly signalled a retreat or at least analyze the situation a little more cleverly, but now it was too late. She was running out of time.
The grains of sand slowly eroded from the hoursglass as they slid to the depths of the underworld. The final grain of sand ticked between the middle of the hourglass, just as she kept glance in all directions, directly in the center of the triangle of chaos, finally the last grain plummeted to the abyss.
In a united assault, the raging behemoth crag cow had bashed it’s skull into the girl as the impact looked as if it could shatter rib cages. The woman’s body rolled like a ragdoll as it was thrown about the snow from the rough blunt damage that was inflicted. Her body lied knocked out, or so Saskia thought until anima bubbles started to dissolve and rise to the air.
‘Wait. No....was she a lander...or an adventurer!?!’
The silent cries of the unknown flood her mind as she succumbs to the pandemonium. Her face flusters red as her cheeks tremble, her sword held lifelessly in her withered arms. The crunch of the wooden club cracks through the air as the warden is sent flying back to the tree where his body drifts down the tree and his back slides down the wooden wall. The way his head bobbels and his chin lifelessly smacks the breastplate of his armor and the floating bangs of his hair collide with his forehead holds a dramatic sorrow as it can be seen the warrior fought valiantly on the fields of battle and gave his all. Slowly the strands of his hair begins to dissolve as he returns to the cathedral. A sacred blessing gifted to the noble adventurers that roamed these lands.
The curse of failure curses her heart as her empty promises to protect allow a golden scorn to corrupt her eyes. Her clutch on her sword intensifies as she closes the lid of her eyes, to try to block out what’s happening.
“I won’t....”
“I won’t let another one die...”
Her fierce eyes open wide as they lock onto the enemies and analyze the field. Both treants are aggroed to Spades, though spades has only engaged one, the greater of the two. The Enemic Buster and his two frenmic rabbits have shifted their assult to the closest member of the party, after demolishing the armored warden, who happens to be Saskia herself, she knows she only has a brief interval of time to lay out the orders before the rabbits are upon her.
“Bailin! I want you to take the shot at the lesser Treant, fire once then I want you to run away as quickly as you can to the south. Pull the aggro off of Spades! Tessia, Fire axe. Big Treant, now! Try to split aggro! “ Saskia shortens her communication as the the rabbits draw near. “Pen. Luiniel, it’s rabbit hunting season!”
Saskia whipped her blade back behind her and scowled at the three beasts.
“Anchor Howl!” She unleashed her fury in a wild howl as her wolf hair thickened into furious pink strands.
The thunderous smack of the larger rabbits club collided against her shield, knocking her off balance for the lesser two to tackle her and cause her feet to dig into to the terrain.
"Pen! I need you to take some of this heat off me so I can get to the treants!"
