Given that the Lune Arc will soon arrive, bringing with it a new and untouched economy, we've tried several approaches toward revaluing gold as a currency. Our goal is not only to reduce the amount of gold in circulation, but also to value it at a level where low and high level characters can enjoy reasonable prices. This adjustment means that many people will likely have gold amounts much lower than they are normally used to. In a sense, this is good as it takes less gold to meet your demands and there will not be a huge gap in catching up for lower-level characters.
Here is a proposal currently circulating in the staff and it currently has good levels of approval. As it stands, it may be implemented quite soon. I'd like to ask for your comments and concerns which can be used to solidify this plan further. There have been some ideas on encouraging spending including: a wider range of lower-level generic items purchaseable from the shop plug-in which does not need to be directly added to the inventory (greatly reducing Market Center transaction times), city-improvement Kickstarters, more skill skins and special limited-edition items to be buyable, and an improved personal/guild housing system.

- Material Fee will now be displayed in each recipe.
- New Formula: 5 x (item level) x (difficulty).
- Reforge prices to be adjusted, although the current setup will be kept.
- Some crafting recipes vary in difficulty as the item level goes up, to reflect how better items require better materials and higher quality crafting. Current idea = +1 Difficulty every 30 levels.
- Possible discounts in Material Fees if an item is thread-crafted rather than speed-crafted. Crafting subclass skills should be checked to see whether this concept would work well.
Difficulty = The perceived complexity of the craft, equating to an increased amount of materials needed to craft it.
- 1 Difficulty: Intuitive and/or uncomplicated enough that relatively few or easy-to-obtain materials will be needed to craft the item.
- 2 Difficulty: A relatively simple crafting process that may require either more materials or a more delicate method.
- 3 Difficulty: A more complex formula, either through the amount of materials required, the volatility of the materials needed, or the method required to make the item.

Guild NPC Rental: Guild member NPCs can be rented, allowing you to bring a personalized NPC into a thread like a dungeon raid in the occasion that you don't have enough members for it. Stronger NPCs will need higher wages.
Guild Territories: Something based on a concept from my previous RP. Will need more time to explain, but you essentially lay claim to not a building, but a plot of land in the environment. Land claims can be disputed if a certain piece of land is desirable. Unlike my previous RP, we're not using a battle system so this may need some fleshing out as a concept to determine how disputes work.
Renting Fees: Recordkeeping will probably be done by players and posted up by the end of a month or season whenever payment is due. A mod will check the claims at the beginning of the next payment cycle. If someone does not pay in time, they get that asset temporarily locked until it is paid. Personal/guild housing can still be posted in but they reap no extra bonuses. Possible additional late fee of maybe 10% to process.

Commerce Threads: Thread types that give 0.5-0.75x AP but give a gold payout proportional to the total word count. Still deciding on a right amount, right now it's a rough estimate of 1 gold every 2-5 words. Might find its niche especially when you're fundraising for something big.

A mod will check the claims at the beginning of the next payment cycle. If someone does not pay in time, they get that asset temporarily locked until it is paid. Personal/guild housing can still be posted in but they reap no extra bonuses. Possible additional late fee of maybe 10% to process.

Commerce Threads: Thread types that give 0.5-0.75x AP but give a gold payout proportional to the total word count. Still deciding on a right amount, right now it's a rough estimate of 1 gold every 2-5 words. Might find its niche especially when you're fundraising for something big.
